Dutch's Daughter is an elegant American restaurant with a refined dining room and a more casual downstairs bar called The Dungeon. Established in 1984 by two sisters to honor their father, this establishment is located in the Frederick suburbs and also serves as a venue for private events. The three-story building features five distinct dining spaces, each exuding old-fashioned charm. The menu offers classic American dishes such as French-cut pork chop and filet mignon, with a focus on seafood options.
Don’t sleep on Dutch’s takeout! Super impressed by the food we got, from the quality and quantity. The prices can be kind of intimidating, but there are some things on the menu that are reasonably priced. (Or you can splurge!)
We got the blackened chicken Alfredo with mixed vegetables and macaroni and cheese (meal comes with two sides) for about 33$. It was 5 large tenderloins of chicken that were super soft and very well seasoned. They almost melted in your mouth, were so delicious and tender. The Alfredo that came with it comes on fettuccine which was perfectly al dente. The sauce itself was very good, buttery and creamy. What was surprising is how big and yummy the Mac and cheese was. Super creamy with a crispy cheese top. Definitely recommend.
On top of everything, they give you (I believe) house made bread with cinnamon honey butter. Perfect addition to mop up all the extra Alfredo sauce.

Relaxing fun atmosphere with great staff and excellent food. The steak, prime rib, crab here is top of the line and mouth watering. You can chill downstairs in a more relaxed lively vibe or have more of an intimate dinner upstairs or parties, vip rooms in other areas. This is like a castle of wonderful food and drink. Must try in Frederick with that old school country southern vibe.
We really enjoyed our lunch there. The atmosphere is "dinner-like" dimmed lights, "heavy" old interior. There are 2 areas - one a little more formal with table clothes on tables, and the other with more casual seating.
The food was great: we had soups, steak, tuna and kids meal. We are yet to try dessert, we got it to-go. Steak and tuna made to perfection - NOT overcooked. Steak, tuna and dessert portions were huge and worth the price.
But what impressed us most is the service - not sure if everyone was like this, but our server Brandon was just excellent - just the right amount of conversation, with a lot of attention and little details that make a big difference in the overall experience! Recently, it has been rare to see this level of service at the restaurants of the same level. Very pleasantly surprised!

Always so good! Consistently excellent food and service. You never have to worry about having a bad experience here. Crab cakes are phenomenal. Also, give the house old fashioned a try. Lunch menu very affordable and outdoor eating area relaxing and shaded.
Went for Sunday brunch and had the best prime rib sliced to order. A lot of bread and breakfast items and a great Crab soup but it could of been hotter and not Luke warm. Plenty of desserts to choose from and all delicious and one dollar mimosas and bloody Marys were a bonus. Bring a big appetite cause lots of tasty items to choose from. Beautiful setting and friendly prompt service.
If I could give our experience more than 5 stars I would!! We had dinner for my husbands birthday. The server, Jared, was so attentive, thoughtful and patient with us! It was our first visit. My husband accidentally spilled his water and they had a team who immediately changed the entire tablecloth for us!!! We were so apologetic and embarrassed but all the staff made us feel at ease. I can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back. I ordered the crab cake and crab imperial with sweet potato, no complaints! My husband got the Atlantic salmon, loaded baked potato and asparagus. He loved it! To finish everything off we ordered the vanilla crème brûlée, best restaurant dessert I’ve had. My hats off to everyone involved!!! Food!! Staff!! Service!! Environment!! Everything was perfect. Thank you for making our experience one we won’t forget. I added pictures but forgot to take some of ALL the food we got. 😅
My wife and I spent our 10th anniversary here today and this is the third time coming to Dutch's Daughter.
The food is amazing as well as the service and atmosphere. Our server today was Angela and she was simply amazing!! She's was very attentive and courteous and very service-focused.
We will be coming back to Dutchess Daughter for a fourth time and Beyond!!!
Expensive but they pay great attention to detail. Definitely recommend making reservations. We Prefer the dungeon vs dining room. The beef medallions and sea sun Pinot noir were very good!
Went during the summer too and Nice you can order from the lunch menu at night on the patio.

Nymeo Field at Harry Grove Stadium is the home of the Frederick Keys baseball team. The stadium boasts a variety of food concessions and a picnic pavilion, making it an excellent venue for sports enthusiasts. In addition to enjoying the games, visitors can also experience playing on field during breaks and watching fireworks after games. Although prices may be slightly higher than average for some items, souvenir helmets for popcorn and ice cream are economical options.
First off - this ball park is a wonderful place to watch a game. Seats are all close to the field with unobstructed sight lines. Tickets are reasonable and easy to pickup at the gate or preorder online with $1.50 fee plus charge.
Second- the food options are varied. Typical fried fare, Mexican and a nice sausage place with Beyond Meat option. Prices are around $12-15.
Third- good selection of beer. There I a local craft brew place or grab a Modelo draft for $10 with your tacos.
Finally- the ice cream is pretty damn tasty. Locally made and great assortment.
All in you are going to enjoy yourself here. The sun sets behind the stadium seating so you don’t squint while enjoying the evening games. Great experience.

Good baseball experience if the Keys improve. We saw a horribly played game where they blew a 10-0 lead and got beat 15-10 with 7 errors. None of that is the fault of the facility. Arrive early if you have general admission tots to claim a seat. Left side and behind the plate is shaded for a hot 7pm game.
Great place for the whole family! They have something from young to old. We had a great time! And the Keys won! 👏
Plenty of seating, and the prices for tickets are great. We went on Faith night so they had a concert afterwards, with a powerful testimony, and great worship.
If you have little ones there is a nice fun zone. Don’t have any little ones, so not sure on pricing, but the kids over there seemed to have a blast.
Highly recommend eating before you go. The prices aren’t terrible, but many around us said the food wasn’t that great. A burger was about $8, Hot dog $6.50. Chicken tender and fries $12.50. A bottle of water was $4. They do say no outside food or drinks, but we saw many people with reusable water bottles, so I think they are flexible on this. They did have South mountain creamery there, and their prices seemed the same as their storefront. A snow cone was $6.50. Not much more than I pay from the truck at other events.
All of the staff were super friendly and helpful.

Recently came here for a Thursday night baseball game and had a blast. Crowd wasn’t that crazy. I was rehabbing a torn achillies and the staff was super accommodating to me. Got 2 hot dogs and were awesome. Fun for a night out. Fireworks are always must. Can’t wait for the Os to get them back
My family lives going to Keys games! It's a family fun activity. My mom loves going, my wife and I love going, my kids love going. It's fun for everyone of all ages!
Great hometown experience. Always clean with great vibes. Great small park feel. Parking is easy... with a short walk to the park.
We always have a super fun time here. Fireworks last night were amazing. Prices for food and drinks are OK. I like that they offer a kids club with freebies. They need to up their sound system to pump people up so there is more cheering for the team.
I recently attended the guns and hoses game, firefighters versus the police officers here with my family, and we were supposed to stay after to take in a key's game as well. I hadn't been to the stadium for years since I was a teenager and used to go to games with my cousin all the time. At least for the time that we were there, it was great. It hadn't changed a bit, and it was awesome taking my kids who had never been there before for their first baseball game experience. The only problem was that the actual keys game was rained out. No one's fault, but it still sucked. I did speak with one of my coworkers who did tell me that he heard that they were actually getting ready to tear down and redo the entire stadium. Hopefully, this happens, and if so, it would be awesome, and I can't wait to bring everyone back for another game when it does. The only issues that we had during our first family baseball experience were with the stadium staff. I didn't let it ruin our good time, nor would I give this venue any less than 5 stars because of it or let it keep me from going back. I just thought it should be mentioned so that maybe something could be done about it so it doesn't happen to anyone else. When we got to the ticket window to get our tickets, the woman who helped us just seemed like she was in a bad mood, or maybe this was her permanent mood. She got an attitude with my wife, which I didn't appreciate. It was because we only had cash, and when researched by my wife, it didn't state this anywhere. Regardless, she was very unprofessional, and her customer service skills were very lacking. Also, once in the stadium for the guns and hoses game their we're no ushers to tell us where we could and couldn't sit. However, when the keys game was getting ready to start, they showed up. As it turns out, we were in the wrong section of seats, which the usher with the same amount of bad attitude and unprofessional customer service skills let us know about as we were told to move. In the end, and especially if your organization does build a new stadium, please make sure to screen your employees better during your hiring process. Hope to see you guys in the future for another great baseball experience, and thank you from an old Keys fan.

Black Hog BBQ is great!! Beef Rib was seasoned and flavorful. Loaded fries was hot and delicious along with their sides of potato salad and mac and cheese. I did have the brisket which was too dry for my liking. I prefer more of a moist brisket but it was fine. Definitely recommend Black Hog for BBQ.
Better than I was anticipating. If smokey is not your thing, then this place isn't for you because smokey is the ONLY flavor there is. Brisket needs seasoning. Just salt and pepper would be better than nothing. Fresh cut fries are always nice, and the house made Mac n cheese was pretty decent. They had a few good sauces, too. Overall, It'll work in a pinch. Maybe the other meats are better.
Me and the family decided to give this place a try and this place was absolutely amazing.
The atmosphere was very pleasant and the menu was very basic and simple.The staff was also terrific.
Now onto the burger and fries that I ordered. It's probably one of the best juiciest burgers that I've ever had. Plenty of toppings and the French fries were seasoned to perfection.
The rest of the family all ordered ribs and they said everything was top notch with huge portions of sides.
My only regret is not posting pictures of the beautiful burger. Don't worry, I will add them on my next visit.
This place is definitely five out of five and I highly recommend this place if you live ribs and a darn good burger.
Delicious Brisket and Pork Street Tacos! Their Mule was tasty and offered as a nice stop into town on the way from a day trip.
Had the opportunity to stop by Black Hog BBQ and Bar’s downtown Frederick location for lunch today after a detour through town and I’m glad I did. This place has been recommended to me by several people, and their praise was well deserved.
I ordered the wings, the New “Balmore” sandwich, and a side of beans. Everything was fantastic, easily some of the best BBQ I’ve had in Maryland, comparable to spots I’ve tried down south. The sauce was outstanding, the brisket on the sandwich had a perfect smoke ring, and the beans were some of my favorites anywhere.
Service was friendly, and the food came out quickly but not too fast, that sweet spot where it’s fresh and flavorful, not rushed. Overall, an excellent lunch experience. I’ll definitely be back.

Hootch & Banter is a chic and lively restaurant located in the heart of historic old town Frederick. The restaurant offers a sophisticated yet relaxed atmosphere with modern decor and a seasonally-inspired menu featuring modern American cuisine with French influences. Using locally sourced ingredients, the restaurant serves up market-driven dishes in a stylish setting with crisply dressed tables.
After days of looking into the best restaurants in Frederick it came down to the wire to choose a brunch spot for Father’s Day. Hootch and Banter unfortunately does not take reservations but if you read the fine print on their website you will see that there are some exceptions for certain holidays (Father’s Day being one of them). I was excited to celebrate my father but also have a good meal. It took a little bit to get our table set up but we had no problem. Our host was FANTASTIC, extremely considerate and kept the energy high. She was a gem. My family shared a bunch of appetizers such as the empanadas, crab dip, and wings. The crab dip stood out the most. I got the burger and it was awesome. The home fries were a great touch. My family loved their dishes. We brought a cake for my dad’s birthday and they helped to cut and serve the cake. What an experience. They treat us like family as soon as we walked in. Look forward to going back.

The food was great, especially the Brussels sprouts — super tasty. Service was excellent, Amanda was very friendly and attentive. The burger was good, though I prefer a soft bun like a potato roll over the toasted one. Just a personal preference! Next time I’ll ask for that option. The place is small, but cozy. It doesn’t bother me, but some people might find being so close to others a bit uncomfortable when eating side by side.
Loved our experience at Hootch & Banter! The drinks were creative and well-crafted, and the appetizers were delicious — perfect for sharing. Been wanting to check this place out.... beautiful Saturday early afternoon so we snagged the last outdoor table...for 145PM it was BUSY...
So the food was good....not spectacular but good...we ordered "The Banter" and while stuffed with pastrami it was a bit dry... We also split the "Chicken Empanada" starter and that was really good!
Service was hit or miss...took order promptly but took 15 minutes to have a beer dropped at our table. The meal service was quite slow, but we were enjoying the outdoors so the wait was OK. However our server didn't return till AFTER we were done eating so no beer #2 😊.
I will come back though because overall it was very relaxing sitting out front ..as long as you are not in a hurry.
Stopped into Hootch & Banter for an unplanned dinner and was reminded how good this place really is. We’ve been here before, but tonight everything just clicked — friendly service with great recommendations, fantastic food, and beautiful presentation. I had the Kidd Burger, and it was absolutely perfect (photo says it all!). One of Frederick’s best spots, hands down. Well done!
Honestly, I was a bit disappointed with this place. We arrived around 1:55 PM and waited nearly 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. Then we were told to come back in 20 minutes—only to be called less than 10 minutes later that our table was ready. It just felt disorganized from the start.
Our server changed halfway through the meal, and my “Banter” sandwich had no flavor or sauce and came on stale bread. Overall, the food lacked any real soul—maybe a 6/10 at best. The tres leches cake was decent, around 8/10. The mimosa, though, was served in such a tiny glass that it barely qualified as one.
Overall, a poor experience. I wouldn’t return
Fast service, no wait to be seated and delicious cocktails! We ordered a few rounds of drinks, specifically “Cloud 9” and “Last Word”. They were fantastic. We will definitely be back to sample food next time.
Three people cost $114. I’m fine with that bill if the food is delicious. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. Only one of three of us was happy with their meal.
Beef Wellington appetizers were served with a delicious sauce. They were forgotten. When our lunch was served I mentioned it to the server. He said he would bring them right now. They were our dessert because we were all done eating lunch when they finally arrived. They were terrific.
The mushrooms in tarragon sauce with poached eggs was disappointing. There was just no flavor. It was bland.
The home fries tasted like they came out of a freezer and were overcooked and dry and flavorless.
Both people at our table say the fries were flavorless. They look beautiful. Just no taste. The lady next us ordered the truffle fries. I could smell them across the aisle so maybe those are better.
My husband had the corned beef sandwich. He says it didn’t taste like anything. Just bland.
The breakfast burger came with fresh veggies and the person who ate that said it might be the best burger ever.
The Spanish coffee was delicious but arrived lukewarm.
The ambience inside is nice. The bathroom was clean. It was lovely to sit outside with our dog even tho the day was chilly.

Wag's Restaurant is a small, underground hangout that specializes in burgers and classic American dishes. It stands out from other bars as it requires descending below ground to enter. Their happy hour, which runs from 4-7 p.m., offers cheap Yuengling drafts for just 75 cents. The overall experience at Wag's is enjoyable, with a unique dive bar atmosphere that sets it apart from the upscale establishments in Downtown Frederick.
Wag’s is a sweet little hideaway spot with dim lighting and cozy ambiance. It has a distinct “local” vibe. You can tell this is home base for regulars in the community.
The service is efficient and friendly. The menu had several options that looked delicious, I was craving a burger and the Wag Burger did not disappoint! The special sauce was different and elevated the burger in a surprising way for an underground hole in the wall.
10/10 would go again.

Great cheesesteak sub and gyro. The meats are nice thick cuts of quality meat. The bun and gyro were both fresh and tasty. In addition the fries were really good boardwalk style fries. The burgers here are highly recommended so I'll be back to check them out. (I had burgers last night so had to switch it up)
This place is a gem; it gives real life cheers vibes. I went for the first time and was treated like a regular.
I love that it's a little basement style area that has been around forever, so it has that laid-back, comfy feel to it.
I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, and it was huge and honestly the best burger I've had in a long time. The fresh cut fries are just like my mom used to make growing up (think boardwalk fries), and we're delicious.

It's a pub, so it is not overly lit. it is a simple local pub with good food. I'd rather have good food over atmosphere.

Great burgers and fries. Drinks are ridiculously cheap. It can definitely get very busy, so serving times can vary. But it’s expected with how popular this place is.
It’s an underground bar that’s very down-to-earth and traditional. While I do like the vibe and want it maintained, they definitely could use a good remodel. It can be a bit musky at times. Those carpets have to go. 😬
Side note: I described it as traditional. As a member of the LGBT community, I have always felt welcomed. It’s a great mixing pool.

South Market Sandwich Co. is a sandwich restaurant located at 105 S Market St, Frederick, MD 21701. If you're in the mood for a tasty sandwich, this place is worth checking out. Absolutely worth a visit (and another one and another one!) Hubby got the Smith Mountain and I got the Havanna, each sandwich comes with a side (drink is separate/extra). The pricing, portion, and of course taste were all great. The shop is easy to spot, metered street parking is available, and it’s location in the downtown area is awesome (near to the Creek). We chose dine-in and the seating area was def a vibe (see pics). Place is clean, well lit, menu is clear and available outside the store, inside above the counter and also on paper. The customer service was good, staff were polite and attentive. Now I got a sandwich spot.

The food here is amazing. I had the “Four Sisters” on marbled rye bread and it was delicious. It’s a quiet shop with great food. If you don’t try this place, you should be slapped in the face in front of your mom, and apologize for wasting your existence.
Long time residents of Frederick, we moved away eight years ago. While back visiting our family, my wife and I Googled “best Reuben in Frederick”. South Market Sandwich Company came up on the list, it should have been at the top!!! The sandwich was meaty, well made with tasty sauces and sauerkraut and perfect bread. The staff were friendly and helpful and the shop is welcoming and, though small, comfortable and convenient. We will be back!
Sandwiches were excellent, with plentiful fillings and good bread. Good selection of sandwich choices. Mostly a carryout joint, but there is a small but pleasant eat-in seating area. Recommended.
This is one of my all-time favorite sandwich spots!! The employees provide a great service, which is why the most recent review about their poor service surprises me. My to-go order is a Cancun with a side of macaroni salad! The exceptional service and food keep me coming back!
This is my second time eating here.
The First time, I ordered in person and was not told it would be a 30 minutes wait. I overheard the patron behind me being told this after I had paid…. I would have appreciated the option to eat elsewhere but I was craving pastrami and they were busy … mistakes happen. My sandwich was actually good but half of the sandwich was missing Pastrami lol. Again, they were busy so I figured I’ll get over it
I came here today and ordered the same thing cause the Pastrami cravings are REAL! I asked for white bread, mayo and cheddar, nothing else on it, no sauce etc.
Upon pick up, my order did not have mayo on it but it did have coleslaw on it 🥴 the gentleman mentioned that I said “make it how you guys do it” which is a lie because my sandwich was very much customized so no way I would’ve said that.
Luckily the coleslaw on it wasn’t terrible but it’s disappointing that both times my order wasn’t correct. Not sure I’ll order again but the sandwich was good for what little meat I had.
My wife and I stopped in for a bite during our vacation, and this place was great! If you have a hunger for a great tasting sandwich then this is the place! I got the "Loaded Chicken" which had Housemade chicken salad, Swiss cheese, bacon, lettuce and tomato on toasted Sourdough- and it was perfect from first bite to the last. My wife got the "Southwest" which had roasted turkey, pepperjack cheese, jalapeño ranch dressing, lettuce, and pico de gallo on a fresh baked sub roll- spicy goodness! The staff were pleasant and the place was clean. They have a great selection of hot and cold sandwiches to choose from, so when you are in town and need some great food, definitely swing by and grab a bite.
Came highly recommended. A gem for sure! The day I went in was chilly and rainy. Had the Cancun sandwich. It absolutely hit the spot. Was a nice and hot grilled sandwich and plenty of substance to it. Just added seating area, I learned. Next time I’m in the area, I’m definitely going again.

We’ve been here a handful of times and honestly it keeps getting better! Today we went spontaneously for lunch and were seated in a booth near the back of the restaurant. It had a good amount of room for the two of us and we loved the privacy with the partition. The dill hummus was absolutely delicious. We were deciding between the Caesar salad and the mushroom strudel from the lunch menu and went with the strudel upon recommendation from our server. Very glad we did and were happily surprised when it came out with salad as well. Love that they have a good amount of non alcoholic fun drink options, and that dessert is a part of their lunch specials. 🤪 We will be back soon!

From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the décor at The Wine Kitchen on the Creek. The stars on the ceiling, the unique lighting fixtures, and the thoughtful design details set the mood right away. The atmosphere felt lively and polished, with staff constantly moving around to adjust tables, clear settings, and deliver food—even from servers who weren’t mine.
Our waiter, Kevin, was exceptional. He had a strong knowledge of the wine selection, and even with my partner being a sommelier, Kevin held his own in conversation. That level of expertise really stood out.
We visited during Restaurant Week to sample their offerings. I enjoyed the shish kabobs, flank steak, and their house-made gelato—each dish was delicious and impressively prepared. After the meal, I tried one of their playful cocktails. Opening the drink menu was a delight in itself, with video game–inspired creations featuring names like Mario and Bowser. Unique, creative, and fun.
Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations. I left completely surprised—in the best way—and I’m already planning to make the drive from Baltimore (over an hour away) just to dine there again. Highly recommended.
Eat on the terrace if weather permits. Gorgeous place. Music. Waterside views. Great wine. Sam the sommelier writes the best wine descriptions ever. The Smith Island chocolate cake is to live for! Great service by Ian and Isaac (who also happens to have amazing penmanship.) Excellent French press coffee.
We always love it here, but this time was a step above even the normal experience. We went to celebrate our anniversary, and they wrote us a hand-written card! The food is always incredible and so well thought through. The cocktails AND mocktails were complex and interesting. This is our favorite special occasions spot!
We had an absolutely phenomenal meal at The Wine Kitchen—easily the best dining experience I’ve had in a long time. From start to finish, the service was spectacular and the food was nothing short of delicious. Every single bite was packed with flavor and expertly prepared.

We were pleasantly surprised to be dining during Restaurant Week, which offered a great variety of options. For starters, we enjoyed the sourdough bread with wildflower honey—simple yet exquisite. I opted for the Restaurant Week special and chose the Wagyu flank steak, perfectly paired with a baked potato and fresh chives. Alongside the entrée, I selected a cheese plate with some olive oil bread, which complemented the meal beautifully.
For dessert, I indulged in the “pick three” homemade ice creams: caramel coconut, sorbet, and vanilla—each one rich and creamy, a perfect sweet finish. (Another part of the Resturant week deal).
On the drinks side, I ordered a refreshing Cosmopolitan and a glass of wine, while my mom tried one of their new signature cocktails—a mezcal margarita—which she thoroughly enjoyed.
The ambiance was equally impressive. We were seated in a cozy, intimate private booth adorned with gorgeous wallpaper that created a charming, scenic backdrop. It made the evening feel truly special and memorable.
I can’t rave enough about The Wine Kitchen. If you’re looking for exquisite food, attentive service (especially from Dwayne), and a warm atmosphere, this is the place to go!
I’m looking forward to returning so I can indulge in one of their wine flights. They let you mix and match from all sorts of wine on their menu. Also excited to try some more of their appetizers. The menu is seriously so creative and there’s so much to choose from.
We had the most wonderful time sitting outside with family here! It was my second time back (visiting family in town) & Anna was our server! She was fabulous. The food was outstanding. Service was beyond incredible! Wine is always great. Dessert was unbelievable as well! We ordered a lot off the special menu they had. The peach salad was one of the best salads I’ve ever had! The atmosphere is amazing, inside & outside!

I tried the vegan bolgogi mushroom tacos appetizer and the vegan casarecce entree (pictured). Both were absolutely incredible! The atmosphere was great, perfect for a date night. The service was also excellent! I love that the menu is seasonal - I’m excited to try what’a next!

This popular and well-established fast-food chain is renowned for its hamburgers and French fries. While some customers may not appreciate the food quality as much, particularly at this particular location, others find their iced lattes to be absolutely delicious. However, there may be reservations regarding the choice of ingredients. If you are a fan of McDonald's cuisine, you will likely enjoy visiting this restaurant.
The gentleman taking my order at the drive-through and the Young lady who handed me my food were both very polite, friendly and so kind. I didn’t catch their names unfortunately but they were working tonight 9/6/2025 at 7 pm.

This McDonald's used to be pretty good. However, the past few years they've gotten really bad.
Orders are constantly wrong, most of the staff has attitude problems. They see you as a bother to your day. They just hand you stuff and shut the window. You don’t know if everything is in the bag or your waiting on something. You get home or have delivered and it’s wrong. The label will be right but the burger wrong. They don’t fill the fries up all the way. A small has as many fries as a large. You have to get no ice because if you don’t, they put so much ice your 44oz drink can be filled by a 12oz can with some left over. The prices are also out of control. It’s better to go to Red Robin, Ruby Tuesday or Fuddruckers. Prices are almost the same.
Extremely slow service, the staffs are nice but seemed like they are not trained for efficiency. They run all over the places, long line up, but orders are trickling out 1 at every 5+ minutes. 1/2 hr later and my order is still not done, the staffs deleted my order and asked for me receipt to re-make it, still waiting...
Rude! They have gotten my order wrong nearly every time I've been in there. And when I called trying to let someone know (first time I've ever called) I was told I made the mistake and was hung up on twice supposedly by a manager... VERY unprofessional considering I've never made a fuss about it before... ( For context, I ordered 2 gold snack wraps) I got 1 ranch and one gold. So I called to let them know, I got told I was given what I ordered! Insinuating that I accidentally ordered 1 of each instead of the 2 that I wanted. That is the second time I've had a manager try to tell me I ordered wrong.. so to whichever manager I spoke to here's my proof that I ordered what I ordered! I was only calling to tell you to have a chat with your staff because this happens A LOT! but you wanted to be rude and hang up on me. Maybe next time hear someone out instead of being a jerk!
ordered 3 happy meals and they advertised the lil McDonald’s toys well in the happy meal we got 3 of the same toy from back in 2023 it’s very disappointing when you pay for something and get something completely different and we went back to trade them and we were told they didn’t have them and they didn’t come from there and you get what ever they have no mater what is advertised and trading toys is not allowed. I will not be going back to this location cause I have never heard of such a thing and how do you have toys sitting from 2 years ago your just now handing out.
The managers can’t speak a lick of English, they’re not trained well, and they’re extremely rude and unprofessional. After the ridiculous situation earlier today that could’ve clearly been avoided? Corporate has been contacted. The store manager should be replaced. Plain and simple. You’re just miserable and clearly can’t take accountability for your store and your actions. What goes around comes around. This store is going down hill FAST. Staff needs a clean sweep and professional replacements. Corporate is contacting me back next week and if they don’t I WILL BE contacting them every day if need be. This place is criminal and absolutely pathetic!
Ordered a mcdouble with cheese and extra pickles only. First time, we got a regular mcdouble with everything on it. I asked for a remake, and was given the same thing. Third time, I recieved a single patty and extra pickles.. no cheese. It took 4 times to get the correct item that was ordered.
Being yelled at to move up to the next speaker is the reason for the lower service rating. Being polite goes a long way.

Brewer's Alley is a family-friendly brewpub located in the heart of Downtown Frederick, offering a casual dining experience with a pub feel. Family was headed to Cumberland from Baltimore. Asked google for a place to eat dinner along our route and Brewer's Alley came up. The servers were friendly, we were seated quickly and Bob (server) took very good care of us. We were seated away from the bar which was pretty loud. They have sections for seating including a patio and rooftop. We did not venture to the rooftop. This location is larger than it initially appeared. We parked on the street, and did not have to pay the meter after 5pm. HC accessible. Nice place to stop for a meal in Downtown Frederick. Quaint walkable location, with many shops and restaurants. The parking sign was along the walk back to our car. 😎 Spent $150 on 4 meals. This place also has a brewery.

Cute little restaurant. Great service. I ordered the Caesar salad and the pita and hummus. I thought the pita was going to be fresh. But it was fried so not as healthy as I had wanted. I thought it came with vegetables that you could dip in the hummus, but, not really. See photo. The Caesar salad was fine. I would probably get something else if I came back.
I have not been to this place in over seven years. Pre-Covid. It has changed a bit and a food quality has gotten worse. The prices are much higher of course, but the food portions are much less we spent over $100 for two people. I would not recommend anything on the main fair in the menu stick to the bar. Food and sandwich is much cheaper. Probably better quality. Little disappointed in the way that place has changed since our last visit. I guess it part of the Times now our prices of skyrocket and portions have decreased and it’s just the way things are now so I really can’t afford to go out to eat much anymore. so we’re definitely not coming back to this place.
Honestly not the best night and I wish we went elsewhere. The main area has a nice vibe but we got put in this back weird room that was just beige with weird tablecloths and some weird looking art. Our server was very condescending. I was trying to order two shooters for myself and two for my partner I was with. She cut me off before I could even finish and said "who are these drinks for?" ummm.. Me and my partner? She was very condescending in her explanation of it being the law and there can only be a number of drinks at a time. Yes, that's fine and I understand. She was doing her job and following the law but she did it in a condescending rude way. The food was mid - I got a chicken wrap that was small for 15$ and dripped all over me. The drinks are very good at least so go sit at the bar and I hope you have a better time than I did.
We stopped on our way through on a Friday. We parked on the street around the corner. We chose to sit outside. The atmosphere is very relaxed. This was my favorite stop all week. We had the salad with apple cider vinaigrette, and the crab pizza. The pizza was very, very, extremely salty. I still enjoyed it. There was plenty of crab on the pizza. Service was excellent. We sampled several different drinks. I enjoyed the crystal wheat. Street parking was free after 5pm. We did not have any wait on the night we stopped.
Visiting Frederick and have enjoyed Brewers Alley twice in a week. Going back next weekend! I had the Salmon both times...excellent & crab dip appetizer, which was also delish. Great atmosphere & the outdoor seating in the front was perfect.
We stopped here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and we’re not disappointed. The Old Bay wings and pizza were really good! The rooftop bar area is a great place on a beautiful day. Service was very good as well, the servers work together to make sure you are taken care of. This is our new favorite spot in Frederick!

The Tasting Room is a contemporary bar and eatery located in Downtown Frederick, Maryland. Since 2001, it has been offering a sophisticated dining experience with an extensive wine list. The menu features a fusion of international European cuisine, including dishes like PEI mussels, sea scallops, duck, lamb, and filet mignon. Visitors have praised the Panko Shrimp as an appetizer and the fillet as one of the best in town.
We had an early dinner on Saturday and were seated right away. The service was excellent, and the food overall was delicious. That said, the crab cakes were a little too dry for my liking. I wouldn’t order them again and would likely opt for the smoked duck next time—it was juicy and perfectly seasoned. The Spanish octopus was also excellent.

Everything was absolutely delicious and the service is always top notch! I forgot how much I love the Tasting Room - both the food and cocktails.
We started with the burrata appetizer - Very refreshing with the peach and frisee. For our entrees we got the rack of lamb and stone bass. Absolutely loved the taro croquette that came with the stone bass. Husband really enjoyed the lamb. We ended the night with the matcha strawberry Creme brûlée and the molten butter cake (SO GOOD). For drinks, I got the espresso martini (best in town) and husband had the refresa. Highly recommend for a nice dinner downtown!

My wife and I were celebrating our 10-year anniversary. They gave us a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate. We started off with the pear salad and brussel sprouts, which were absolutely incredible. For dinner we had the scallops and the dry aged burger. I think it was probably the best burger I had in my life. I highly recommend it! For dessert, we had the pumpkin creme brulee. It was delicious! I can't recommend this place enough. The prices were very fair, especially when you consider how amazing everything tasted.
Really nice spot downtown. Wednesday is half priced bottles of wine, so I went with the chablis. It was delicious. Paired well with my meal. The mussels were delicious. They were cooked and served in a curry sauce that was drinkable, it was so good. The bread they give you for dipping has a nice flavor, as well. Toasted but still soft. The scallops were in another, totally different curry. Lacked a little bit of luster compared to the mouth full of flavor with every bite like the mussels, but still tasty. The scallops were nice and soft. Not chewy at all. I ended with the white lava cake for dessert. Topped with their house made vanilla bean ice cream, and a lemon sauce on the bottom thay was amazing. Overall, it was a really delicious meal. I highly recommend it, and i will definitely return.
I would definitely recommend making a reservation at The Tasting Room, as it’s a popular choice for fine dining in downtown Frederick, where options are somewhat limited.
For parking, the Church Street garage is your best bet, though if you’re lucky, you might find parallel street parking nearby.
I’ve dined here twice for dinner, and while the food is quite good, the atmosphere didn’t fully resonate with me. Both visits were for date nights, but I found the seating arrangements to be a bit too cramped, with tables placed very close together. The noise level was quite high, making it difficult to have a quiet conversation. Being right downtown, sirens frequently sounded outside, adding to the distraction. At times, I could overhear conversations from neighboring tables, and we had to repeat ourselves to hear each other clearly. That said, this was on a busy Saturday night, so weekday experiences might be more subdued.
On the bright side, their happy hour is fantastic—though it’s bar-only—and the cocktails are delicious. While I’m not the biggest fan of the espresso martini, the Lily Pad is my go-to, and their old-fashioned is consistently solid.
Overall, The Tasting Room is a great spot for a quick drink or a more casual outing, and with a reservation, it’s well worth a visit.
When we got there, it started off kind of rough. They sat us sort of in the middle of the dining room with a table that was lopsided. But when the waitress came over, she immediately fixed the table and brought us eacgh glass of Prosecco for our anniversary. It was very sweet. We ordered the charcuterie platter, which was delicious. The we couldn't decide on what wine we wanted since he wanted steak and I wanted seafood. The Somalia came over and made some great suggestions and we ended up finding a bottle that we both agreed on based on her recommendation. He got the Wagyu steak frites and I got the linguine and clams. It took a really long time to get the food. But it was worth it. His steak was off the chain. My linguine and clam sauce was a little under-seasoned. But the pasta was really well done and the clams were perfect. We got the butter cake for dessert, soooo good. Overall a great experience!
Review: The Tasting Room – A Longtime Favorite, but a Disappointing Change
My wife and I have been dining at The Tasting Room for over 20 years, and it has consistently been one of our favorite restaurants. The food, service, and atmosphere have always been exceptional — truly a place we’ve celebrated and recommended to countless friends.
Unfortunately, our visit tonight felt noticeably different from what we’ve come to love. The crab cakes, once the best we’ve ever had, have changed dramatically since our last visit in February. They went from being a signature dish we eagerly looked forward to, to something I honestly wouldn’t take the time to eat again.
I understand the restaurant recently brought on a new chef, and while I’m sure he is talented, I hope he reconsiders altering the dishes that helped define The Tasting Room’s reputation. Some classics are best left as they are — especially when they’ve been perfected over decades.
We truly hope to see the beloved flavors that made The Tasting Room special return soon.

My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner and jojos and we could not have had a better experience! We had a private room that was beautifully decorated and had food waiting for us when we arrived. On top of the delicious food and drinks, our servers Justin and Leah were both FANTASTIC! They were kind, funny, and super fast. Completely loved this place! Skylar was a great server! Drinks were the Beekeeper and the red sangria which we loved. Appetizers were the duck bites (delicious!!) and the crab dip (phenomenal!!). For dinner, we had the meatloaf and seafood pasta with old bay cream sauce. Soooooo good!! The only critique I can give was that the carrots in the vegetable of the day were undercooked for my tastes. Too firm. Wasn't a deal breaker, so I'll definitely be back! Would love a few more gluten free dessert options 😊
Fantastic gluten free menu prepared with extra care to ensure safety for celiac and gluten intolerant from cross contamination. Great ambiance in both dining and bar areas. Friendly and helpful staff– Skyler is an amazing server with attentive care over our gluten free menu items ..and also lovely recommendations for around Frederick. Highly recommend!!
Tweeks Road Trip Food Review:
I was on the tail end of a business trip, and one of my co-workers was looking for a Gluten Free food option, which is how we found JoJos in Fredrick VA. Not being experienced in gluten free places, I was dubious. All I had ever had was dry, poorly done gluten free baked items.. but this place was amazing. All the food was above average, and every detail of our experience was attended to. I highly recommend it if you're on the road and want to sit down, "cloth napkin" place with great food and an extensive drinks menu. Call ahead though, as they seem to really get packed quickly after 5pm.
I'm an appetizer guy, and I love seafood, so I got the bacon wrapped sea scallops, and one of my co-horts got the gluten free fried dill pickle slices.. which were the best I've ever had. The cream and aioli sauces they pair with their dishes are also very yummy.
For my entree, I was being good, but still wanted more seafood so I had the "Eastern Shore Crab Salad" with a half an avocado and a lime old bay dressing. That was quite good, even if it was $24. However, I wanted more so I also opted to add a slice of pan seared salmon for $15 extra bucks.. so it ended up being the most expensive salad I've ever had. Good eats though.
The friend to my left had a really great looking (super big) crab cake with butter mashed potatoes. She gave me a taste and it was really quite good. The food was flavorful and the portions were hearty over minimalist/artsy. I approve!
The friend to my right had thick slice of pan seared salmon atop bed of creamy, buttered couscous that looked really good too -- though she had problems finishing it after the appetizer.
After it was all said and done, were were rather stuffed, and we each probably dropped between around $50 per person (including appetizers). More than I was expecting to spend, but hey.. I got me some serious seafood too!
First time here in the tap room. We shared 3 appetizers + Individual entrees. Everything was delicious. Definitely will be going back.
Full gluten free menu! I tried gf fried chicken sandwich and loved it. The bun held together and was not gritty. There must be a bit of heat in the gf batter but it was delicious. No bacon for me but added pickle slices.
I can't wait to try more gf dishes here

Absolutely this place! The service is always outstanding, the lattes are tasty and beautiful, and the food is fantastic. My Lox Benedict had an extremely generous amount of salmon on it. I get lox at every breakfast/brunch place I go, and I’ve never had a restaurant that gave this much. Definitely get your money’s worth here!
The top review at the time of my posting this says something to the effect of: "This isn't New Orleans, get that out of your head." But I think that's an understatement. I'm from Missouri - fried chicken and general "southern cooking" were not staples in my life. However, at least we had standards when it came to breakfast.
If Cafe Nola is "acceptable" breakfast in Maryland, I should probably quit my job and open a breakfast joint, because this state is ripe for the picking in that department.
We ordered breakfast for dinner and this was easily the worst food we've had since we moved to Frederick last year. We ordered two rounds of Biscuits & Gravy (B&G) with french fries - sweet potato and regular. Along with that, we got two sides of "thick cut" bacon.
The biscuits were a step below Pillsbury canned biscuits: they tasted like they came from an expired discount rack at Costco. They were bland, dense, and mechanically uniform. The french fries were limp and underseasoned. You could see salt on them, but you couldn't taste it. Largely they tasted like the outside of an unwashed potato and depression-era sadness. The bacon, well... There's no planet on which it can be called "thick cut." It was only marginally thicker than microwave bacon with the same level of flavor. I've genuinely had better bacon from McDonald's.
The gravy, however, which could have redeemed everything we got, was instead the most offensive thing we received. Not only was it watery and broken, it featured the saddest sausage I've ever had - I literally could not even taste it. The gravy tasted like pure fat (think crisco, not bacon) and way too much sage. There was literally NO other flavor. I felt like I was eating uncooked lard with a pinch of pepper and a handful of sage. It was absolutely atrocious.
If you've ever had a decent breakfast in your life, do NOT eat at Cafe Nola. On the flipside, if you think Cafe Nola is a decent breakfast, you need to travel more.
Ate at outside table with our dogs. Menu included several vegan options. The vegan BLT was great.
I just ordered shrimp and grits through door dash- I can feel the food poisoning coming on. I don’t think they cleaned the shrimp 🤮

It was an okay experience. The food I ordered was extremely sweet and burnt, and not filling. My friend had a burger and said it was okay. She did enjoy the basil dip a lot though. The service was okay and the waiter was friendly. I don’t think I will return but I tried it because many people raved so much about it.
The Scallops should be called ‘The Last Scallop’. Any others simply don’t compare. Perfectly cooked and served over a godly bed of vegetables in a light cream sauce. Absolutely incredible pairing. The chef knows what the hell he’s doing in that kitchen. I also had the Poussin which was also very good. Atmosphere was lively even on a Thursday night. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!
We made reservations which I think was important because they were super busy. We were sat right away upstairs looking out over the street. It was a great seat really. Our server was great. She was very friendly and we didn't lack for anything the whole time. We were there for almost two hours but we had a starter and dessert. The timing between the courses wasn't too bad. Just expect to stay a little while on a Friday night. Our food was over all delicious. The bread pudding dessert blew us away. The portions are honestly pretty good. We will definitely be back next time we r in Frederick. The atmosphere outside was pretty cool so it was nice to watch as people went by from our table upstairs.
Everything was excellent. Food, staff and atmosphere! Oysters were one of the best I’ve ever had. Scallops were so delicious. I had rockfish and my husband had wagyu sirloin both of which were perfectly cooked and juicy. Last of all, we ate the best creme brûlée of all tume. Special thanks to the chef of the restaurant!! It was beyond our expectations.
Nice atmosphere over the two levels of this establishment with a full-size bar and a variety of seats and tables nestled throughout. When we visited, the calamari had an interesting flavor but was incredibly salty--almost too salty to eat. My burger was fantastic and the charcuterie board my wife ordered was well-prepared and presented. The apple cobbler was terrific, as well. Would like to come back again.

Although everything was outstanding & the flavors created a party in my mouth, some of the dishes we had were the fried green tomatoes, crab dip, butter poached lobster with risotto, crab cakes, arugula salad, signature oyster & espresso martini. Decided to try out Firestone's Culinary Tavern for brunch. We have eaten dinner here before but this was the first time we have attended brunch.
Making a reservation was easy. Using Resy we were able to book the 2 person reservation for 2 pm (they were booked until then) and had no issues beig seated when we arrived. Glad to see that restaurants are starting to fill up again.
The restaurant is on two levels. A bar with some restaurant seating on the entry level and an upstairs balcony that had most of the restaurant seating. I love the neon sign on the left at the bar when you walk in - Good Food, Strong Drinks! Quite appropriate.
Our waitress was Courtney and she was attentive and helpful in making suggestions, etc. I opted for coffee and Eggs Benedict (with extra Hollandaise sauce) with an additional fruit bowl side. We also had the Espresso Martini and Coop's Gumbo. The Eggs Benedict was very good and my wife enjoyed the Gumbo. She mentioned it has "a kick to it" (as it should!) and was made with homemade sausage and shrimp over jasmine rice. I really wanted to Strawberry Shortcake, but I was full. Overall a decent meal. Plenty of options for drinks ranging from cocktails, wine and beers.
Enjoyed the food, loved the service and a nice atmosphere. Stop by and try it for yourself.

I came to eat solo and the staff was pretty nice. My server, I think her name was Iran, was very sweet. The food was nice as well. I got the Lazy shack roll, the dragon lady, and two types of chicken dumplings. The lazy shack was my favorite, but was not a fan of the dumplings at all. Overall good experience though!

What a GREAT restaurant. It's tucked away in a cozy downtown upstairs nook. The decor is beautiful. The Staff is very inviting, courteous, and prompt. The food was amazing. It was our first time, but I look forward to returning to explore more of the menu. Pricing and portions are very fair. We were beyond satisfied with our experience.
Note - because parking downtown can sometimes be an issue, it might be a good idea to park in either of the garages, which are only one block away.

The bang bang shrimp appetizer is my all time favorite I always get it when I come here. Food is reasonably priced with plentiful portions. The service is usually great but sometimes I don't get greeted until I notify a staff member.
One of the best Sushi places that Ive been to. They had some very unique specialty roll combinations that Ive never seen anywhere else. The atmosphere and vibes were very cozy. Cannot wait to take my husband to this place next time we’re in Frederick.

I also tried pad Thai and friend rice. Looking forward to trying more Thai food and coming back here when I’m in town!

When initially researching where to dine in Frederick, I came across information about Zoe's Chocolate Co. This establishment had received rave reviews, prompting me to make it a top priority. Upon arrival, the intoxicating aroma of chocolate immediately stimulated my senses. For those not inclined towards chocolate, there is an alternative option called the Pop Shop. Here, one can find an impressive assortment of glass bottle soda pop with over 400 varieties available, all crafted with cane-sugar and vintage-style recipes.
If I could give Zoe's a 10 Stars I would!! This is THE Best chocolate EVER!!!! My daughter and I had a mother-daughter day hanging out in downtown Frederick one Friday. We tried Zoe's and another local truffle place. We both agreed--Zoe's won Hands Down!! I can't wait to go back and buy more Truffles!! ❤️

Walked in and it smelled soooo good and most importantly it didn’t smell like burnt sugar. I knew I stepped into a chocolatiers paradise. While trying to resist buying everything, I got their rose & pistachio white chocolate bar, a mini crunchy toffee milk chocolate bar, and a jar of milk chocolate nonpareils.
Their chocolate is smooth and rich. The flavors perfectly balanced, simply devine. Staff and service was very friendly and patient. The prices were reasonable and they offer discounted bars (just as delicious but have cracks).
I had the pleasure of trying these wonderful chocolates that were shipped to me by one of the owners who happened to shop at my children’s clothes store at tysons galleria . WOW! What beauty ,artistry and delicious treats to receive. The kindest people you will meet. My guests were raving about these chocolates all night. A must try for all , you won’t be dissapointed!

Chocolate is phenomenal and creative. My favorite last time was the Oh Honey. I have been buying chocolates as gifts from Zoes to support a small business during the pandemic... plus, you can't go wrong with their chocolates! They are also very responsive on Instagram so if you have questions, I might recommend DMing them.
Unbelievably amazing chocolates! The truffles we purchased from Zoe's Chocolate Co. in Fredrick, MD are among the best we have ever purchased from any chocolatier. The Daphne and Oh Honey are true standouts. We cannot recommend them enough, and look forward to many more purchases in the future.
When we are traveling anywhere near Frederick we have to detour to Zoe's. How do they combine crisp pretzels with creamy chocolate so each flavor stands on its own? The perfect salty sweet treat!

Not quite as popular as National Museum of Civil War Medicine, but still highly rated among many travelers. Francis Scott Key Mall is a spacious indoor shopping center featuring popular retailers, such as department stores and boutiques, along with various dining options. The mall boasts a modern appearance both inside and out, with plenty of well-lit parking areas available. Additionally, it offers unique amenities like an indoor pool for hosting events. For Tesla owners, there are multiple "moderate speed" charging stations conveniently located near the Barnes and Noble entrance. This one-story mall maintains a clean environment and showcases attractive architecture.
Lots of small businesses and large anchor stores. I found gifts here that you would not find elsewhere. And there is a huge, great looking ballroom/salsa dance studio for lessons. Check that when your there.

This Mall Has Changed So Much Over The Years. It’s Now just few stores And Is Missing Most Of The Places That Made Me Come. It’s Still Very Nice And Clean. Auntie Anne’s Is The Only Reason I Stop By From Time To Time. And The Christmas Decor.
Cool mall lots of empty store fronts. Mt kids and I walked around for old time sake. Spencer's is still a fun store. More adult objects and costumes than I remember
Lots of parking room. Card shop really values the stuff they sell and pay penny's for cards
A nice sized mall. Only one floor. The place was very clean and the architecture very nice. JCPenney, Sears, and Value City are here, stores I haven't seen in a while. Almost all the spaces were occupied and a good many people were shopping. There isn't a food court and instead eateries are scattered throughout the mall.
Instill enjoy the mall. Usually I go for a haircut and beard trim at Pelomania. Rosa is the only one I trust to trim my beard lol.
Francis Scott Key mall has a great deal of stores and a great Japenese restaurant that is unfortunately closed now due to COVID-19. Many diverse stores to keep you shopping and occupied.
During Christmas time this mall is so transformed into something magical. It is something wonderful to see. Just a great shopping experience.
Nice clean indoor mall. Lots of stores and food. Many local business kiosks in the center of the mall. Great place to take young kids too. Plenty of well lit parking lots. The mall inside and out is very modern. There is even an indoor pool for parties, etc. If you drive a Tesla there are numerous Tesla "moderate speed" charging stations near the Barnes and Noble entrance.
I go to swim class there, and it's great! The book shop there is also amazing, and so is the rock shop! My class went there for a field trip!

Pinecliff Park in Frederick is a fantastic destination for families, offering a variety of activities and amenities. The park features four softball fields, a playground with diverse play equipment, and a boat ramp for boating and fishing. Additionally, visitors can enjoy horseshoe pits, picnic areas, and a nature trail for walking or jogging. The park also boasts facilities such as basketball and tennis courts, paved paths, and ample green space for various outdoor activities.
Had a chill walking around at Pinecliff park. Beautiful weather made the walk very enjoyable at this open park.
This is not a huge park, from the main entrance walking to the last gazebo which is #7 is about 0.8 miles. Along the way there is restrooms at every bbq cover place, and several has volleyball nets. Sports field spread throughout 👍🏼
Restrooms are fairly clean.
Playground: 2, the main one is by the entrance.
Parking: plentiful.
Lake view: peaceful and easy to access.
Highly recommend 😁
Also a great place to practice driving & reverse parking in the early morning time, IF needed 😉

Traveled from PA to do a playground day in fredrick. That was our first stop and it was a great start. Playground equipment for all ages and a basketball court for the older kids. Plenty of open fields and pavilions.
Pinecliff Park in Frederick is a charming riverside destination, perfect for family outings and nature enthusiasts. The park offers well-maintained picnic areas, a playground, and scenic walking trails along the Monocacy River. Visitors can enjoy fishing, hiking, or simply relaxing in the tranquil environment. The park's spaciousness allows for various recreational activities, making it an excellent spot for a weekend getaway. Clean facilities and ample parking are added to the overall convenience and appeal of Pinecliff Park.
This park was a hit! The ground is that soft, slightly bouncy material. Two different swing sets with infant and kid swings as well as handicapped swings. There's a toddler section and an older kids section. The first level of the older kids section is fine for toddlers though. There's a scavenger hunt as well! There are several smaller slides and 2 large slides. There's a small musical section. Several benches, a good amount of shade. Basketball court, tennis court, some paved paths. Lots of grassy areas around the playground. There are also bathrooms, water fountains, and pavilions with picnic benches. Plenty of parking.
Great park with playgrounds both my girls enjoy. Lots of variety. The park also has pavilions, ball fields, and boat/kayak launch into the Monocacy River. Definitely a good park...and not crowded.
Lovely place to walk, play with the kids. I take my handicap adults there and they love it. Nice picnic spot. It gets busy in the summer though but still nice
Great space, beautiful nature and great amenities! We were able to set up our picnic/bbq pretty easily, bathroom was less than 50 feet away, we had access to drinking water and we were even able to plug in our rice cooker as the gazebos have electric outlets! (They are a bit high though, so if your appliance has a short chord, it's a good idea to have an extension). Highly recommended!
Glorious and challenging playground with adaptive swings and ramp. A tot sized area and big kids area. Shaded benches for parents, musical instruments in a beautiful park setting.

Let’s start with my online order. After placing the order I received a phone call informing me that if I increased to a full case of wine, I would receive a 10% discount! So of course I did!! I had never been to this “house “ But I was picking my order up.
Fast-forward to Friday and a road trip from Baltimore to pick up my wine. They call it a Wine House, I think it’s more like a wine warehouse.! It’s impressive to say the least and great customer service. Somebody was always available to point you in the right direction, actually take you to what you were looking for.
Their pricing is Great with additional sales on selected wine. It was fun to try some new wines that I had never heard of. We finished shopping and then it was time to pick up the wine I ordered. Very smooth operation, an entire area dedicated to pick up orders.
They helped load the cases in my car.
I highly recommend this “wine House”. For me, it’s about a 50 minute drive but I will go back and stock up for the holidays!
Frederick Wine House is the complete package! Great selection, unbeatable prices, friendly and educated staff, cool store layout, convenient online shopping and fun events all rolled up into one very cool place! I especially love the displays upon entering the store. This often helps with unique gift ideas. I also enjoy browsing so many options online with no pressure. I have discovered many brands and new cocktail ideas making entertaining so much more fun! Love going to Frederick wine House. Im a big bourbon fan and I live in Virginia. There are some bourbons that are hard to find at the ABC stores around me so I always enjoy stopping here. They have a huge selection of wine and liquors, have free samples and the prices are usually cheaper than the VA ABC stores.
This past time I asked for some recommendations from a member of the staff. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. The best part, his recommendations were solid. He recommended a rye and a bourbon that were reasonably priced and were very tasty.

I have purchased alcohol from this location several times. On 11-2-2025. I visited this location, went to register to pay. I was asked to give up my privacy and allow the retailer to scan my drivers license. Where does that information go? I asked the cashier to get the supervisor. The supervisor proceeds to tell me its their policy to scan everyones license. So where is that policy and its not on your website or in store. She the supervisor tells me if the license doesn't scan they can enter the info. So it can be done. What happens when the scanners malfunction is the business going to refuse sales or close the store?
The supervisor was trying to be professional, however she should have just completed the transaction, cheerfully. Instead she chose to refuse the transaction.
On a side note to the owner. Do better. I will never step foot in your store again, and I will tell everyone not to do so as well.
I am so glad that Frederick Wine House delivers, they have a great selection of wine and other liquors. I only found this gem of a company when my Wine.com order was suddenly delayed. I went to this site to look at their wine selection and found they do same day delivery. Great service, will be back again, also will visit the store as well. The wine education classes are very informative and fun. I have attended several. The last one I attended was for the Bordeaux region of France. The presenter was fabulous - engaging and so informative. His presentation covered not just the grape varieties but the difference in the color of the wine, the aromatics, the soil they were grown in and the latitude and it's effect on the end result. I am looking forward to attending another of his educational presentations soon!

We had a fantastic time completing the Crane Manor escape room. The appearance of the room matched the theme. The puzzles were challenging but we were able to get them. We've completed a lot of escape rooms and this one ranks up there. Sometimes places don't put a lot of effort into the puzzles or the appearance of the room...this is NOT one of these places!! First time doing these types of things so didn't know what to expect. The host was great, explained the rules, and would give help if needed. This was a high-quality stage with fun, challenging problems and fun props. We had five members on our team, and we all got to experience finding and solving the many clues to finish the challenge. Would do this again.

Our first time at an escape room was a big success. Took my teen grandson and nephews for what I would describe as an in person video game. They loved it 🥰 we will definitely do this again!
My friend and I had such a great time in the Crane Manor room! The story, puzzles, and decor were well thought through and excellent. The time just flew by and we felt so immersed, as if we were in sleepy hollow. We will definitely be coming back to try the other rooms!

We did both the Conspiracy room and Excalibur. The puzzles were a little non-linear so we could work on multiple at the same time. Props were amazing! Staff was nice and gave hints when we asked. The whole experience was a joy. We went with 4 people to each room, which was a great number since we could all contribute without things being crowded.

Great beers, great location. They allow dogs different food trucks every day. We visited twice. The first time we had some delicious beer and then left, I also took off my ring and forgot it in the bathroom. The second visit was to ask if someone turned it in and they did! Somebody was kind enough to return it so then we bought even more beer. Would definitely visit again!
Last stop of the trip was Attaboy Beer. Very casual, laid back atmosphere with a good selection of brews and friendly staff. Had a taste of the Fredbrau Festbier, which was excellent.

Truth and Beauty is a restaurant where girlfriends recently gathered for brunch. It was their first visit, so they had many inquiries which the friendly server handled expertly. The server's recommendations were excellent, from beverages to desserts. They shared multiple orders of brussel sprouts and desired more to take home because it stood out unexpectedly. The shrimp and grits were delectable, as were the other entrees everyone ordered.
I had the cat fish po boy for lunch and it was really good. The bread crispy and delicious just by itself. Art the perfectly seared catfish and the homemade remoulade sauce whoa! The owner/chef Doug actually came out to ask me how it was personally and we spoke briefly very nice guy. I highly recommend this place.

I'll be honest, this was nearly a three star review, but the service made up for the lackluster food. This was our first experience at Truth and Beauty, but the reviews (4.5 stars) and the online menu, both seemed positive. We went at an odd time, around 4 pm, so the restaurant, other than one big table, was empty. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable and answered all our questions. The strawberry rhubarb cocktail was very delicious. We ordered the Spicy Korean Wings, which were the best thing we tasted, that Totchos (Tater tots served nacho style) which were super basic, and frankly boring, the Fish and Chips, and the Burger. The fish was overcooked and the burnt bits of the breading were overpowering. The burger was fine, but nothing too exciting. We both agreed that the fries were a huge miss, limp, no crunch, and unseasoned. Again, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was okay (definitely loved the playlist and Beastie Boys art) but the food was underwhelming. Our check was $78.
What a wonderful find! The atmosphere at Beauty and Truth is fantastic—very clean, modern, and comfortable with some great mellow rock music playing. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
We shared several small plates and honestly enjoyed every single one. The wings had a perfect medium spice, the Brussel sprouts were wonderful, and the salmon bites had an amazing sweet umami flavor from the sauce. The Tot*chos were perfectly crispy and clean-tasting.
We also really appreciated how allergy-aware they were and their willingness to help us navigate the menu safely. A special thanks to the owner who took the time to talk with us—that really made the experience special.
We came here for a bachelorette brunch Sunday. While I appreciated the staff warned ahead of the slow service, it did take a very long time to get our drinks to start and then all the food. My biscuits and gravy were just ok. I think I’ll need to come back and try something else to update the rating.
I recently joined some friends for drinks at Truth and Beauty and it quickly turned into a night to remember. The strawberry rhubarb gin fizz has been on my mind ever since I had the first sip. I loved the ambiance and the music was stellar the whole time. The salmon was delicious as well.
If you are in the area and have the chance to grab a drink and bite at Truth and Beauty, you wont regret it. The chocolate cake was the cherry on top of the whole experience. I cannot recommend this establishment more.
Service is very good. Attentive but not overbearing. The food is hot and made at time of order. I wasn't thrilled with the cheese fries but the steak salad was excellent and I strongly suggest you try the iced tea. If you get a seat along the front, there is a nice river view and there is outside seating for even better views.
Me and my partner went to Fredrick for the day and while waiting for brunch at another restaurant with a long wait, we walked by Truth and Beauty, so happy that we did!!!
Lucky us we happened to try them on a day without a long wait, we were amazed by their selection of tasty and but healthy food and beverages. This was complimented by great service, everyone was super friendly and welcoming!

We’ve been thinking about trying this restaurant for the past several weeks. Why did we wait?? Last night we enjoyed one of the best meals we’ve had in ages. We had the Pot Roast and it was AMAZING!
Chef/Owner Doug’s talent was evident in all the beautiful dishes that we observed being delivered to other tables, as well. The best way I can summarize the food is an “elevated spin on American classic comfort food.” The prices were very reasonable. The service was excellent. And we thoroughly enjoyed the added touch of a very talented jazz trio! We’ll be returning often. Do yourself a favor and head over to Truth and Beauty soon for a delicious and savory meal!

We used to come to this restaurant all the way from Bethesda because everything about it was fantastic. We loved sunflowers on the tables, we loved intricately crafted food, we loved our children being able to experience authentic Mediterranean juicing by using hand-held juicer from Turkey oh, and we loved the staff that was there for many years and really knew the menu well.
We came to celebrate a big day in our family, one of the family members just received a green card. Everything about our dinner was horrible. The food was overly salted and I couldn't eat neither the sandwich nor the main dish. I literally couldn't eat anything and it lacked the refinement that I was used to at this location. It tasted more like salty fast food. The service was atrocious. Both people that we spoke with were brand new and couldn't answer simple questions of what was recommended from the menu. I repeatedly asked to have sunflowers bouquet place that our table and three people said that they would be right back. The bouquet never came. The manager came to figure out the request about juicing and apparently that was scratched off the menu altogether. By the way, the manager looks like a bouncer and behaved that way too.
As with the previous bad review, the service was the same for us. It was not at all busy there was just another family sitting outside and one more family sitting inside, yet we had to wait and wait. I did mention that the manager was unprofessional. None of her demeanor was appropriate
Other than the location, there is nothing left to come back to at this restaurant. Quite disappointed

KFC, a renowned fast food chain famous for its buckets of deep-fried poultry and a variety of combo meals and accompanying dishes, came to the rescue when a child experienced an unfortunate accident at FSK mall. Although lacking spare pants in the car, there were fortunately extra diapers on hand to prevent any intervention from Child Protective Services.
On Daddy's day, my daughter ( in her 30's) treated me to a KFC lunch! I absolutely love the coleslaw! 😋😋😋 We got a small bucket of Crispy fried Chicken to go! *Haven't had fried chicken in a couple years! It was sooo good! Great job KFC!

I got the party pack and they did not give me the 6 Doritos locos and gave me the soft tacos. All soft tacos, the gave me bottom of the barrel nacho fries, they didn't put my food I ordered into the takeout bag. I had to manually do it myself. The cashier couldn't understand the menu but confirmed my order by price. The cashier didn't relinquish the large cup until I paid completed by Machine pos. I paid by credit card so I doubt I will get a refund or return to this location that is not available on the app to order from. This is a half kfc half taco bell with bottom of the barrel workers that shows favoritism to customers as everyone else had their meals in their takeout bag.

Absolutely the worst $28 I’ve spent in a long time. The drink order was wrong. The chicken strips were so tiny. The drumsticks and thighs were tasteless and way too fatty. The most edible parts were the biscuit and the Mac n cheese. It’s been 20 years since Ive had kfc. Someone will have to pay me big bucks to ever ponder returning to one, ever.
We actually ate the Taco Bell side not KFC but food was not good. Food was cold, soft taco shells were hard or stale. Each soft taco supreme was barely a table spoon of meat. I would not recommend. Dining area closes at 9pm, we got there a little after 9pm so not sure of atmosphere inside.
Currently KFC has the vegan Beyond Chicken. It’s very good! Crispy, without being greasy. It is cooked in the same fryer. Hope they keep this product on the menu!

Came here last week for a car meet. A lot more showed up than I thought since the few years since I’ve been to this specific meet.
My only negative was I swiped my card when I ordered my Slush and when the server came out he asked for my card as if I didn’t pay. He said they were having a problem with it. So he proceeds to take my car and put in on his tray right in the middle of some liquid. I asked him multiple times to not get stuff all over my credit card. He seemed to have a hard time understanding what I was saying as he asked multiple times.
I went here yesterday and the lady couldn't hear me and I had to yell loudly what I wanted. The onion rings some were good, some were mushy, and others were hard to were my husband could hear me crunching slowly. We kinda just laughed it off. Unfortunately, I was gonna treat myself to a blizzard but she said her machine was down. Every time I come it's always a hit or miss for me sadly. I used to come almost everyday after work for a quick bite. Now I rarely come. Tried to enjoy it again this time. I don't think we'll be stopping by for awhile.

Love coming here for the Alive @ 5 on Thursday nights! If you haven’t been its from 5pm to 8pm every Thursday night. You can pay $6 to enter a big area that has a great area for chairs to sit and watch whatever band is playing that night. Also they have different food trucks every Thursday! You can also purchase alcohol tokens at one tent and then use those tokens at the tents of the breweries that are there for quick and easy alcohol purchase! Also a great place to bring your pup!

This is my favorite spot to chill and people watch in downtown Frederick. Smack dab in the middle of everything interesting going on downtown. Very well maintained with lots to do on either side. Super dog friendly. Readers Digest just ranked Downtown Frederick as the best historic downtown in 2025 and I’m sure this park had a lot to do with scoring the honor.

Lovely autumn morning walk along the bank of Carroll Creek. The lotus were still pretty, especially the purple flowers with colorful leaves, which is why we visited. Will be back late next summer to see more blossoms.
A lovely place for a walk in downtown Frederick. Sidewalks on both sides of the canal that has water gardens in its center. Easy access to the library and downtown shops and restaurants.
This park is the perfect spot for a casual walk, jog or run. Also a great spot to take the kids or go for a bike ride. Very lively on weekends and a ton of restaurants and shops to explore. Large parking garages nearby help make the area super easy to get to. Long path and very safe, definitely one of our favourite spots!
In town visiting Frederick MD, and had to stop there. Garage parking costs us $4, but it was doable. Vendors, beautiful walking paths, great weather. The live music was a plus as well. Prices at the booths for food were fair. This would be a great venue for a walking date or stroll with the kids

Nestled in the heart of Historic Downtown Frederick, the National Museum of Civil War Medicine offers a fascinating glimpse into the medical practices that shaped wartime care during one of America's most tumultuous periods. Spanning over 7,000 square feet across two floors, this museum features five immersive exhibits that vividly recreate scenes from Civil War medicine. Visitors can explore life-size dioramas depicting field hospitals and dressing stations, as well as military hospital wards and camp life.
An unexpected gem!
Gore. Appendage amputation reenactments. Mummified body parts. Walls oozing with the blood of soldiers.
I don’t know what I was expecting! But all of that was basically what I envisioned; so maybe a chamber of horrors! And yet, there was only one limb, a few human bones, and one room about amputations. For the most part, it was a Smithsonian museum style presentation. Filled with large amounts of information, educational placards, sound effects, and ambience. Not what I was expecting!
We spent a good three hours. So make sure if you enjoy reading everything, to leave enough time for about four large museum rooms.

This was one of my favorite stops on our whole trip. The volunteer guide was friendly and knowledgeable and I wish I had more time to spend with him talking about hospital architecture. The book selection in the gift shop rivals any other museum bookshop I’ve been to. Absolutely stop here if you’re in the area.
Side note: there is a parking garage out back which is better than street parking.
This museum is well laid out and informative. The exhibits were fun and educational and did a great job at eroding the belief that surgeons during this period were butchers and primitive. The only change i would like to see is a larger display on the adaptations and advances in medical care during g the time such as more on prosthetics than what is there
I loved this place and found it very informative. The people working were very informative and made sure to follow up if you had questions. Lots of information packed into this space.
Interesting museum. The volunteer guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Only took about 45 minutes to see it all. On two floors with elevator access. Parking on street may be difficult but there is a garage to park. The street its on is absolutely charming. Would recommend if in the area, but maybe disappointing if coming from far away.
Ask for a private tour with Rich Parker! Very knowledge, worth every penny and then some. We learned so much! A lot of incredibly interesting historical information packed into this museum. Well worth the visit and leaves you wanting to learn more!
Smaller, but really interesting spot. Our docent, James, was super knowledgeable and a good speaker. It was helpful that he explained the layout of the exhibits, and the development of the standard procedures for caring for those injured in battle. He was also great about taking questions from visitors. Really worth a visit.

Wow! Going to see a show here is almost like stepping back in time in the absolute best way. The large crystal chandeliers, older floor tiles, lush carpeting, crown molding all speak of days of old. This place just takes my breath away. It is absolutely stunning and a sight to behold. I went to see "A Christmas Carol" and had the best time. The lower level was packed and the balcony wasn't being used for this show however I love the balcony very much. The performance was so we'll done and captivating. The singing, even the children singing, was incredibly beautiful. It's obvious that these are professional and seasoned performers. This was my son's first play and he was captivated. What an incredibly special day it was for us. Do not hesitate even a mere moment in deciding whether or not to attend. It is worth it in every way.

We bought tickets online and it was seamless, and inexpensive compared to resell prices. We saw Cinderella performed by The World Ballet Company. It blew my expectations. The theatre itself was very organized, multiple bathrooms up and downstairs. Definitely handi-cap assessable. I also want to note that they do sell beer, wine and cocktails for the show. Highly recommend!!! ✨
I want to like the location. But the seating is not the best. I heard from a speaker series that it used to be a theater? Ironically enough, she was talking about how the theater was segregated and they were required to sit in the balcony where the seats were not that good. Nothings changed in half a century lol you still can’t see the stage over the tops of peoples heads- thankfully there’s no large bonnets.

This is a beautiful building and a step back in time. They kept most of the original decor which is stunning. Even the lights for the bathrooms are cool. They have a few displays that showcase some of the memorable events and people that were here. I would have loved to have seen this place in it heyday. I was glad to get the chance to finally get to see it.
The FSO was having a concert and I was lucky to get a view of the backstage. The prep rooms are below the stage and you can see all the autographs left behind over the years.
Great theater, have been a few times. Seats all have a good view and are surprisingly large and comfortable given the age of the theater. Production is always good. There's concessions and a bar insight but no food service and the restrooms are undersized so plan accordingly. Bonus, the attached garage charges a whole dollar and hour!
My second time at the Weinberg, both times to see 1964 The Tribute. An older theatre, but was packed with fans of all ages. It does have 2 bars, and water and coke products for sale, some snacks but no "food". Onstreet and garage parking ($3.00). Ladies room is small. Get there early!

Went to see the 1947 version of It's a Wonderful Life and absolutely loved the old theatre charm and atmosphere. Enjoyed a live performance by The Catoctones - made the evening very magical and put me instantly in the Christmas spirit! Will be returning to see more live shows and movies presented by them!

It was very easy to park at Eveready Square. The selection of shops was amazing. Not only did they have some large National chains like Talbots, but they also had small independent shops including quilt and knitting stores, a specialty tea shop, cute little boutiques with handmade items including jewelry and home decor.

Celebrated downtown Frederick’s annual Fire &Ice show at Everedy Square this year. We sold my husbands paintings @paintedbyawildling (Etsy), and he talked with guests about his time being in Game of Thrones. Great turn out and people so nice and genuinely excited to meet him. Event coordinator so welcoming. Strongly recommend visiting the the square for that yearly event and year round to eat, shop and get your hair done at Unique!
Amazing coffee and breakfast wrap! The line was long, but the workers knew how to keep the line moving. Very kind and also loud but chill vibe. The decor is exquisite, and the parking could be better, but granted it's a corner lot at a five-way so it's fine 🙂

Sour beer lovers, rejoice! Yummy! My new favorite east coast brewery! I have found a few idiom brews at different shops and restaurants and when I discovered the mothership was driving distance, it was a great launching point to explore Frederick. Large inside, pizza, seats along the canal / creek. Super friendly staff. Can’t go wrong losing a few hours here.
Great beer, amazing ambience, and most importantly, kind people. A severe thunderstorm was rolling in, and when I asked if I could bring my wife and two dogs so we wouldn’t get stuck in the storm, they said “absolutely” and added that they loved dogs. This meant the world to me.
Right next to Steinhardt Brewing Company is Idiom Brewing Company. The share a common Beer Garden area that is quite large. Here I sampled the You Belong American Amber/Red Ale, Crash the Party Festbier, and the Off Your Gourd Pumpkin/Yam brew.
We love this place! Great drinks, plenty of options and friendly staff. We also really enjoy the trivia on Tuesday and Wednesday! Highly recommend!

Stopped in at Maxwell’s on Main and tried their BLT with bacon jam — absolutely incredible! The bacon jam takes the classic BLT to another level, giving it a sweet, smoky flavor that pairs perfectly with the crispy bacon and fresh lettuce. The bread was grilled to perfection with a nice crunch, and every bite was packed with flavor.
Friendly service and a laid-back vibe made the experience even better. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re in Frederick and want a sandwich that goes beyond the ordinary. I’ll be coming back for sure!
Excellent burgers. Kale typically is healthy, and who really wants them more than fries? You NEED the kale at Maxwell's. Braised with bacon it is perfection. The staff is also helpful and quick with service.
Loved the vibe of the place in downtown Frederick. My husband and I both ordered burgers well done, one wagyu and one black Angus. His came pink. The service was phenomenal as they quickly remade him one, cut it half to double check that it was cooked, and offered us a free dessert as an apology. He loved his burger and so did I! We stopped after some shopping for a snack, splitting a shake (that the crew split into two cups), a Hawaiian hot dog, and some crispy Brussels sprouts. All were wonderful, and the staff was very friendly and efficient. The Brussels sprouts included orange pieces, and both the Brussels sprouts and hot dog had some tasty pickled red onions on them. I would definitely stop in to Maxwell’s if in Frederick!
I’d give 10 stars if I could!! This was my first time ever eating here and everything was amazing. Rubie took my order and brought me out my food with exceptional manners and was very polite and nice to be around. The rest of the staff was also awesome and friendly, making sure to check on every customer. You can definitely tell these people like what they do and from my short time in there, it seemed to me as if they enjoyed working with one another. The burger was hands down the best burger I’ve had in downtown Frederick. Typically I’d rate wags one of the best in town but this place seriously has them beat by miles!! Don’t miss out!!
Really good burgers and friendly staff. They have a creativr menu of burger types but you can also make your own with any of the toppings available. I like that they ask how you want your burger cooked and then serve it cooked the way you asked. I had the steakhouse burger; it was fantastic.

I recently visited Maxwell's Burgers & Shakes and had an incredible dining experience! The **service from Frank the waiter** was top-notch – attentive, friendly, and made sure every need was met.
I ordered the **Wagyu burger** and **hot dog**, and they were both absolutely killer! The Wagyu burger was juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection, while the hot dog was a deliciously messy delight. The sides, including the hand-cut fries, were equally fantastic.
Maxwell's truly offers a fantastic combination of great food and excellent service. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

What I would call a rustic bakery. Somethings are awesome and others just OK. I like the beef empanadas. Pepperoni rolls not so much. Chocolate croissants are Ok. Breads are good with great variety. If you’re traveling on I70 it’s definitely worth a little detour.
Went in around 8:45am on a Sunday morning. First time. Bought 2 chocolate eclairs, two raspberry turnovers and 1 chocolate croissant. The eclairs were still frozen from them being thawed the night before (cream had ice crystals, the whole pastry was very cold and still thawing out) and lacked any flavor, the raspberry turnovers were just ok, and the croissant was as hard as a rock (like you could use it as a hammer type hard) - completely inedible. $22 for pastries that you could purchase at a grocery store for less and the same or better quality. I would be ashamed if I sold these to a customer. I get that fresh baked pastries expire rather quickly, but that isn’t a good enough reason to sell them to unknowing first timers. And if these eclairs are shop made (which I doubt), why would you freeze them!? Blimey, I feel like Gordon Ramsey in kitchen nightmares, just full of British disappointment.
I haven’t tried their bread so maybe that’s what they are known for, but I would expect any legit bakery to bake all of their goods fresh everyday.
Went the other day and was absolutely shocked when all I got was (2 cannolis) and the bill was almost ($17 dollars!!!) Absolutely ridiculous! Said they accepted Apple Pay so I just did that, handed the lady my phone not knowing what the total was going to be, so I guess that was my fault for not asking but definitely felt tricked almost. Just because I didn’t want to seem stupid I went to my car but if I could have returned them I would have. Will never go again! I could have gone to the cafe right down the street to get a coffee, breakfast sandwich and a pastry for the same price!! GO to Frederick Coffee Co. & cafe instead you will not be disappointed there.
Wonderful bread. Great little authentic bakery filled with wonderful smells and delicious baked goods. I tried several loaves of homemade bread and it was Worth driving out of the way to pick up more.
The people are great don’t get me wrong but it’s TOO pricy for the frozen tarts and jsut making lime curd on the morning there’s no way that should be costing 8$ went there for 3 things ended with almost 30$ and it’s not a high end bakery just q local one
Bought a loaf of bread and it molded over within two days. Not worth it! I even tried to talk to them about it they didn’t care horrible customer service.
First time at this bakery. There are no labels or descriptions in front of any of the desserts. I was asking the lady working what the different desserts were. I decided on one and was asking about another. She seemed to be annoyed or frustrated. She asked me if I wanted anything else. I said no and left with nothing. Customer service is very important. It doesn’t matter how good a product is if the staff is rude.

Voila! is a wonderful tea store located in Frederick. If you're a fan of tea, this is the ideal place to visit. Recently, I attended a tea party and discovered their unique 'blue eyes tea.' Intrigued, I searched online for local tea shops but was met with disappointment at each one. However, my experience changed when I called Voila! and spoke with Mike, the owner.
I LOVE this tea shop! They have small canisters of all their loose leaf teas on the wall (organized by type) that you can look at and sniff. Our favorite is their namesake tea Voila (black tea). They also will ship the tea to your home if you don't live in the Frederick area. Owner is lovely and very helpful.

I stopped into Voila! in Frederick, MD during a day trip from Washington, D.C., mostly because my friend wanted to check out their tea selection. I'm definitely more of a coffee girl and wouldn't call myself a regular tea drinker, but I'm so glad I went in! The shop is small, charming, and the staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.
On a whim, I picked up 2 oz of their Mango Strawberry tea, and I’m hooked! It’s the perfect fruity blend... Refreshing, smooth, and absolutely delicious! I ended up placing another order via email after I got home to D.C. about a week later, both for myself and to gift some teas to friends who are big tea lovers.
I only wish I lived closer so I could explore more of their blends in person. Voila is truly a Frederick treasure, and I’ll definitely be stopping by again on future visits. Highly recommend!
What an amazing place. I remember when I was given my first tea as a gift. I was hooked. So many to choose from caffeine to non caffeinated. Herbal and so many that they can special blend. I myself have a special blend of Chocolate and Orange. I just recently went to restock and tried several that I never tried before. My favorite now is Black Rose ...I love the rose tones ...They sell different amounts and if you bring your can or bag back you get a discount. On the main street in Frederick....street parking or lot parking. Worth the visit you cannot choose just one
Stopped in this adorable shop on a recent trip. My friend and I love tea and we were so excited to see so many flavors offered. It was hard to choose which ones to pick, but I went with Watermelon & Mango Party. Both are amazing and I’m pretty sure I will be calling in to order more of both to be shipped to me! 100% recommend!!

Stopped in for the first time while stopping around downtown Frederick. There is another tea store nearby that I enjoy but it was closed so I was excited to see another tea store. The shop is FILLED with teas, cups, pots, storage tins, honey, and probably some things I missed. They were immediately friendly and welcoming, explained without being overbearing, we're engaging and helpful. So many teas and such unique combinations. I have over 50 teas at home but I grabbed 3 more that were different from anything I have or have seen. I've only opened one so far but you can SEE the quality of the ingredients. Whole bits of fruit and floral, large aromatic leaves, lovely aroma - I have a cup brewing now! You browse the tins on the wall that you can open to smell and are labeled with the ingredients and then they package your choices for you - no prepacked, sitting on the shelf for who knows how long nonsense. They've got a great thing going and I can't wait to come back to buy some more. Lovely shop and best wishes on continued success!
I've been doctor 'sentenced' to drinking tea and was TOTALLY overwhelmed at the whole thing. After floundering through choices online, my husband suggested (OK... Insisted) we make the trek and go to a real tea store. I've never been in a tea shop before, I can't compare the number of kinds. They had a HUGE wall with hundreds of samples you can open to see and smell. Their customer service was amazing. I walked in nervous and clueless. Mary Gene was simply lovely. She listened and asked questions to help guide me to find what would best fit my needs. She talked me through the tea making process complete with suggestions on ways to extend the life of the leaves. This grateful Newbie will be a customer for life. Thank you!

Those are the only things I have to base this review on, as we just popped in for a snack, but having discovered this pizza (that and the down-home friendly service), I would drive the 45 minutes just to have this pizza, and then turn around and drive 45 minutes home.

My husband and I have always loved the restaurant, so when we were planning our courthouse wedding + small celebration, we knew it had to be at Cucina Massi! Lianne was great to work with, Trish who worked upstairs during the party, was phenomenal. We had 50 guests for an open bar and dinner. The space was tight--it does sit 50 people although not super comfortably--but it was a perfect night. Everyone loved the food and the drinks were great! Our face hurt from smiling and laughing so much by the end of the night.
Two constructive pieces of feedback: They offered to set up the place settings, which included place cards, before everyone got there. Unfortunately, the place cards were almost all incorrectly placed, which resulted in some family drama that I had tried hard to avoid with the seating chart I made, but it happens! We also had drink napkins made with our puppy's face on them, in hopes the bartenders would give them out with the drinks, as it's pretty usual to also give napkins. We have nearly all of them left because they weren't handed out.
With those two things being the "critical" parts of the experience, I'd say we're very lucky!
10/10 would recommend for any rehearsal dinners, small wedding celebrations, birthdays, etc.!
Mix review. After our somewhat disappointing experience, I did speak to The leader on duty, and the MOD did apologize and invite us back. So I don’t want to give the restaurant a completely negative review.
But I will say that the hostess and server were both lackluster. Neither of them seem to enjoy what they were doing, nor did they seem very efficient in their operation. Remember, courtesy is just as important as efficiency.
The food has a lot of sauce. If you have bread to soak it up, great! The food was good. I had the veal; I’ve had it in other places that was more crispier, which I think I preferred. We also had the crab lasagna, which was very good.
The drinks were not play while we were expecting.
I again, we’ve been invited back; I’m hoping that the second round will be better.
All around excellent service by all the staff , excellent food and drinks. You will not be disappointed wish I could do more then 5 stars definitely will be repeat customers 😀♥️🍽️♥️😃
Visited Cucina Massi in September with some friends. Interior was very neat and cozy. Service was on point. Food was incredible! Linguini with clams was full of flavors with fresh clams and a brothy, slightly salty white wine sauce that I could have eaten all day. Portion was filling which is good because that meant I wouldn't be entirely hungry during work that evening. Overall a great experience in a neat little Italian place nestled nicely on the busy streets of Frederick. Looking forward to returning to try a new pasta dish and some appetizers.
Cucina Massi definitely strives for a more authentic Italian experience as opposed to some of the more Italian American-skewed places in the area. I tried the lasagna and the pasta was overcooked. The antipasto board tasted a bit gamey. The beef carpaccio was excellent and my wife enjoyed her Brussels sprout salad. Good service and nice atmosphere. Not bad, but there are better options in Frederick County.
We decided to give Cucina Massi a try for our anniversary. We went last Thursday and opted for an early dinner. We were the first to arrive at 4:00 so we were able to get a pleasant table outside. Although we were the first it did not take long for other guests to arrive. All of the staff were very nice. We were not rushed to order and meal timing was perfect. We have never had grilled calamari so we decided to give that a try. It is a great alternative to fried and had good flavor from the grill and the texture was perfect. The mussels come in red or white sauce. We both enjoyed our main dish. They were well portioned. I tried my husbands shrimp and his dish definitely had some spice to it. We agreed we will go back to try more of the menu.
I can’t say enough positive things about the staff and management at Cucina Massi! I recently hosted my bridal shower there for about 30 guest. Lianne, the manager, was extremely attentive and helpful. Made sure we had everything we needed. Very responsive from the time we booked until the end of the shower! Irvin was bartending for us. He not only made sure everyone had a drink, but also made sure to walk around to make sure I always had what I needed and my family members did as well! I think he made about 30 espresso martinis in an hour! Oh, and the food is DELICIOUS as always! They even made sure my vegan guest was taken care of! Our out of town guest loved everything! We had such a positive experience that we decided to host our rehearsal dinner there in July! Huge THANK YOU to everyone at Cucina!!

Gambrill State Park is a beautiful mountainous location that offers the perfect opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts to enjoy a range of activities such as hiking, biking, and horse riding. Additionally, visitors can indulge in fun-filled activities like camping, picnicking or fishing at the park. The area has an extensive network of loop trails with varying lengths that were built by the Civilian Conservation Corp and offer breathtaking scenic overlooks; however some may be overgrown during foliage season.
We recently hiked Black Locust Trail (3 miles) at Gambrill State Park with our kids (8 and 6). The trail is rated difficult, and I’d say that’s accurate—especially for younger kids—but it was a great adventure!
Scenic Views – The overlooks were stunning, and the forest was beautiful.
Good Challenge – It pushed the kids but in a rewarding way. They felt proud of finishing!
Well-Marked Trail – Clear blazes helped us stay on track.
Rocky and Steep in Sections, Not Stroller-Friendly but definitely a hike where kids need to walk on their own.
A great hike if your kids are up for a challenge! If they’re used to easier trails, I’d recommend trying a shorter loop first. But for families who love hiking, this was a fun and rewarding experience.

Gambrill State Park is an absolute gem nestled in the mountains just outside Frederick, Maryland. The scenic overlooks—especially the one at High Knob—are a must-see. On a clear day, the panoramic views stretch for miles, offering some of the most stunning vistas in the region. It’s a fantastic spot for photography, a picnic, or just sitting quietly with your thoughts. The park is beautifully maintained, with clean restrooms, picnic areas, and well-kept facilities.
It’s also a great place for families, with plenty of space for kids to explore and enjoy the outdoors. We loved the peaceful atmosphere and the chance to reconnect with nature. Highly recommend for a weekend getaway or a day trip—Gambrill State Park is a true Maryland treasure!
Took my dogs here recently and they had a blast. So many easy to follow hiking trails for them to explore. The overlooks are beautiful. Really worth taking your dogs there for some much need exercise and fun time. Great place to release some stress and enjoy the out doors.
Great park with nice trails for every level of hiker. Overlooks were nice and right by parking so you don't have to walk far to see them if you don't want to really hike. Lots of picnic tables and grills to cookout. Green trail was nice but had some steep inclines and declines, definitely not dog friendly. Area was nice and quiet and a good escape for the day. It took us about 2 1/2 hours to do the green trail loop. White trail is stated good for families and is only a mile. Few players areas for kids including some swings and a seesaw.
Nice hiking trails, although they are a little overgrown. Some of the lookouts no longer have a view because the trees have gotten too tall. That’s still some good hiking.
There are multiple parking lot areas. Don't just stop at the camping area, drive up the mountain a bit, find the higher lots and see the awesome sights.
Great park! Well marked trails, dog friendly, has bathrooms, different parking options for if you want to hike to an overlook or just drive there.
It is a nice park to visit in the fall. I hope they get the Tea Room opened soon.

Emporium Antiques is a treasure trove of vintage finds and period furnishings located in the heart of historic downtown Frederick. Housed in a beautifully restored 1912 brick building, this 55,000-square foot space features over 130 antiques dealers offering an extensive range of products.
Love this place, they have such a good selection of items. I always find things I've never seen before. The selection of items and prices is amazing. I have made several purchases here. In fact my kitchen light came from there. I don't live close (which is probably a good thing) but stop in whenever I'm in the area.

Great place to walk around and see many different types of things. Like a museum. However it’s very hard to find something to actually buy - almost everything is over priced. Vendors are not reasonable with prices.
That being said you can sometimes find a diamond in the rough on sale.
Large variety from large couches, glassware, silverware, paintings, chairs, art, knickknacks, books, lamps and so so much more.
Relatively clean - some vendors take better care of their stall than others. And some parts of the ceiling are falling apart.
It’s also a really large building - so you can go back and forth for a good walk.
Feels a bit like an estate sale, mostly furniture, china, and paintings. You would be pressed to find much more. Gotta be careful walking around cause the ground is uneven.
Towards the very back it is connected directly to Revival Consignment Exchange.
It’s clean and the staff are very friendly and they are very helpful if you ask about anything. This place is mostly Vintage store than antique. Also it’s over priced. It’s not meet the antique prices in the area need to be logically prices.
First time there. The store is immense and filled with quality goods. Found a dish ware set for eight of Homer Laughlin Virginia Rose that I’ve wanted for years for only $100. What a deal!
Emporium was the best antique store I’ve ever been to. It’s basically “The Neverending Story” in antique store format. Everything is very reasonably priced, and it’s heaven if you love crystal and brass like me. I went in search of brass candle sconces but ended up leaving with crystal coasters! They had several beautiful sconces either in pairs or singles but none was *quite* what I was looking for. I spent 3 hours of pure wonder strolling around. I can’t wait to return! Couldn’t recommend more.
Fascinating! It’s like walking through history - home decor history anyway. The prices are from low to very high for some gorgeous vintage items but I believe this store is attached to Revival Consignment which seems to carry more lower end items. I found the staff and vendors to be very friendly. Both of the vendors I purchased from offered very generous discounts without any prompting from me. There are so many unique items to discover & admire and I would have stayed longer but my parking meter maxed out at 2 hours.
Amazing selection! They even have a section for new books. 3 stars because we had a rather strange experience with one of the staff members (she was older and had blondish shoulder length hair). However disclaimer because the man at the counter was very friendly! She told us to go to the back of the line when we were in line right behind our friends and the people behind us just got there. I ended up leaving my purchase because I didn’t want to support her, she followed us outside to see if we had stolen something, she even kept looking at our friends baby stroller to see if we had taken anything, even though they had just purchased almost $100 worth of merchandise. We even said thank you and have a nice day while we were leaving and she kept glaring and said nothing back. Weird experience but awesome antique store!

The North Market Pop Shop is a place to indulge in a wide variety of bottled sodas and locally made ice cream. In addition to their vast selection of sodas, they also have a diverse range of root beers and delicious ice cream options. It's a perfect spot for those who appreciate classic soda pop and enjoy exploring different flavor combinations while satisfying their sweet tooth.
What a shop! It is amazing how many different soda flavors are carried here. If anything is out of stock or the quantity on hand isn't enough, you can request they order and you'll be contacted when it comes in. In addition to the sodas, there's also a candy shop with equally as interesting choices. Last, but not least, there is ice cream and a limited menu of hot items made to order.
The staff is courteous and professional. My Family loves this place and we will surely return again (and again) soon.

This was such a cute little novelty store. I loved it. I bought a 6 pack of nasty sounding sodas that we haven't tried yet. Im scared to try them lol.

Was a great experience for a lazy Wednesday afternoon! So many exotic flavors of soda, candy, and chocolates from around the world! It was a little overwhelming trying to pick a flavor that would appeal to my tastes, but the staff was very helpful in assisting me in narrowing my search! Warm and friendly environment with polite employees! I was quite surprised however when my bill came up to almost $75 for a bag of chips, 1 soda, 1 juice box, 2 chocolate bars, and a jelly candy... it was a happy and fun filled experience even though it lightened my wallet!
Holy cow what soda don't they have? If you have a favorite soda and can't find it here I'm pretty sure it's not made. They have an awesome selection of candy to boot. But, the ice cream is what I came here for. The coffee milkshake is delicious!
The staff is super cool and really outgoing. You have to visit the North Market Pop Shop you won't be disappointed.
As a downtown resident I’m very disappointed in what the pop shop has become.. just went in there today and each time I go in staff just becomes worse and worse. Not sure who the owner is but you should stop in more often and check on who you’re hiring and having run things, everyone in there is rude and acts as if they don’t want to be there or service people. Not to mention I paid for two scoops today and was definitely ripped off by the portion. Should’ve just saved my money and gotten one scoop, probably would’ve ended up being the same amount anyways.
We visited during the Fire & Ice Festival, so I can't speak to how it normally is, but they handled us without much delay and were friendly. My wife and I got milkshakes, her's was vegan with vegan oat milk whipped cream. We aggreed that both were good but not as punchy a flavor as we've had in the past. Not sure exactly what it was, maybe lower cream content than other brands. They use local ice cream. I got blueberry cheesecake, which was a nice flavor, just kind of mild and not as sugary as I normally have had. Massive selection of sodas, lots of weird ones, and tons of candies you've never seen. Very cool place, felt like a time capsule.
I Came in here to look for the very hard to find and Amazingly tasting Specher Root Beer specifically and I was greeted by the Friendly and helpful staff that work at this place. They not only have all kinds of drinks/soda pops but they also sell and stock many different kinds of Candy, Chips and Sweet Treats Including Ice Cream, Milk Shakes, Soda Floats, Sundaes and many, many other good stuff! I literally felt like a small kid at a Candy Shop! LoL

Old Mother Brewing Co is a must-visit in Frederick! We stopped in and tried the El Matador Mexican lager and the Florida Seltzer—both were super refreshing and full of flavor. El Matador had that smooth, crisp finish you'd want from a great lager, and the Florida Seltzer was light, fruity, and perfect for a sunny day.
The ambiance is laid-back and welcoming with a cool, local vibe—exactly what you want in a craft brewery. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, making great recommendations and making us feel right at home.

Great little downtown brewpub. No frills, order at the bar, a local restaurant out back handles the food, but I really appreciated the selection and the overall quality of the beers. The altbier was great, and the sour was very well balanced. Good old fashioned West coast IPA did the job too.
Prices were good, Tuesday has 1$ off pints.

This was the perfect place for my friends bachelorette party to come to after our hike at Gambrill State Park. There were lots of great beer selections and they had cocktails, mocktails and wine for those who don’t drink beer. The burger place inside had the best chicken sandwich I think I’ve ever had. I love the logo art and they had a really cool open art market going on. This is definitely the place to hang. Can’t wait to come back!

Pros: The decor was fun. LGBTQ flags abound. There is a rack of games you can play during your stay. There are beavers of all kinds incorporated into the decor. You'll see a photo of my favorite with rainbow sunglasses. We found a table/chairs and checked the QR code for what to order. My spouse walked to the bar to order the drinks - no line, no wait.
Cons: This is a cement box of an establishment. As soon as we arrived, the noise from the Loud Talkers at the bar boomed through the place. It did not get quieter. I got a tequila drink, my husband got a glass of Zinfandel. My beverage was UNDRINKABLE. It was as if someone poured a cup of lime juice into my glass and added triple sec & tequila. I drank a third of it and went to the bar to get some simple syrup added. The bartender explained that they make the mix for the cocktails daily and they didn't have anything behind the counter to change it's taste. No offer to make something different, even after I said that it was undrinkable. I ended up getting the "swamp" something-or--another with rum and drank half of it. My spouse said his Zinfandel was "meh."
Between the LOUD conversationalists, the unsupportive bartender and the below par drinks I cannot recommend this establishment.
On the other hand, the food we got from Fifty-Fifty located in the same building was *fantastic.* See my review of Fifty-Fifty for specifics.
Went in to get a few beers for myself and a colleague. It's always tough shopping for others, especially men with different tastes than I have. ERIK helped me tremendously by explaining the different options and giving me a few samples to help me decide. Best customer service one could ask for, one of the best two interactions I have had with a bartender. Erik loves his job and it shows through in his fantastic service to customers, including patience with someone who is taking quite a bit of time to decide. Kindness comes back around, thanks OMB Staff! This establishment is clearly well-managed. 5 stars!

This was my first visit to Frederick Health Hospital, and I’ll admit I was nervous after reading some reviews. That’s why I want to share how positive my experience actually was. Even though I waited about two hours in the ER while in pain, the care I received made it worth it. From triage to discharge, every staff member I met was kind, professional, and attentive. Despite being alone, I felt supported—nurses kept me informed, made conversation, and never made me feel like a burden. I stayed in observation for almost 48 hours, and that same level of care continued throughout. The food was surprisingly good, the doctors were thorough, and the nurses were consistently thoughtful—asking smart follow-up questions and truly listening. One nurse was a bit short one night, but overall, the team’s warmth and compassion really stood out. After visiting several hospitals in the DMV, this was the first time I left feeling both cared for and emotionally at ease. Thank you to the Frederick Health team—I’ll be recommending you to anyone who’s hesitant like I was.

Some nurses are absolutely not qualified to be there. In the begining I had horrible experience in the ER. If they just did their job I could have been helped hours earlier.. But when I got up to a room my nurses and doctors were extremely kind.
Food is hit or miss, and it tastes very similar to what you’re served in the public school system. Tip, order a side salad so you know you’ll have something fresh.
Would much rather travel to Rockville shady grove hospital, but can’t really choose when you’re in an emergency.
I want to take a moment to say how incredible the emergency room staff has been. The nurses were absolutely amazing — attentive, compassionate, and professional. The doctors, too, were not only skilled but also deeply caring and gentle in their approach.
The longest I had to wait in the lobby was just 10 minutes, which speaks volumes about the efficiency and dedication of this team.
This is my second visit to this emergency hospital, and both times, I’ve been met with the same level of care and comfort. They made a difficult time feel a little less heavy — and for that, I’m truly grateful.
My best friend was recently hospitalized at this facility, and I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to the entire team. From the moment we arrived, we experienced an exceptional level of care. Although the wait time was between 10 to 20 minutes, a nurse came to check on her every five minutes—reassuring us with genuine attentiveness and compassion.
The doctors and nurses were incredibly patient, taking the time to listen to every concern we had. Their empathy, professionalism, and heartfelt dedication made an overwhelming situation feel a little lighter. It’s rare to encounter such consistent kindness and concern from every single staff member, but this team truly went above and beyond.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for treating my best friend not just as a patient, but as someone deeply cared for. This experience reminded us that healing begins not only with medicine, but with humanity.
They took care of my broken foot on 1/19 and when I had to come back less than 24hrs later to have the same foot cast corrected - they opened a new acct and charged me again $850 for ER help correcting their previous mistake. Had they placed it as the original acct it would have been picked up by insurance. I am appealing but finding nobody who understands and is willing to work with the miscoding. A hospital has to be pretty cold to deliberately bill people just to get money from them instead of helping the situation. I will go anywhere but that hospital now.
If you want to waste your time and get the minimum amount of care then this is the place for you. The nurses don’t check on you or give any effort. I would go hours without being seen or checked on. Had to wait an extra day to get discharged because it was a Sunday and the ONLY doctor on the floor decided she wanted to go home early. I had to ask them to change sheets and gowns even though I was there for 5 days. Unless I’m actively dying i would not return to this hospital. The staff and the doctors don’t care and treat patients as an inconvenience. If you can be seen somewhere else that would be the better option. I am NEVER coming back here.
I went to this hospital for an emergency C-Section. From the moment we arrived, we experienced an exceptional level of care. All the nurses, doctors and other staff members were very professional and showed a great concern for my well being. I had an amazing team of nurses Kristen, Karen, Claudia, Maegan,Taylor, Kayla, Morgan, Anne, Daylee, Jessica and Kryste but I was extremely impressed by my night shift RN Taylor. She was amazing and took really good care of me and my baby. I would love to thank the entire staff of Frederick hospital 🙏

This was my second visit to the Emergency Department at Fredericks, and I have to say — this hospital truly stands out.
From my previous experiences at other hospitals, I can confidently say that the level of care, compassion, and attentiveness shown here is unmatched. The doctors, nurses, and every member of the staff treated me with such genuine concern and kindness. They took the time to listen carefully to what I was experiencing, and I felt truly cared for every step of the way.
During my first visit, I waited in the lobby for about an hour, but a nurse checked on me every 10 minutes to make sure I was okay while a room became available — that kind of attentiveness meant a lot. During my second visit, I was taken back within 10 minutes and had my IV ready to go almost immediately.

Rose Hill Manor Park & Museums is a 43-acre history park centered around a 1790s manor house. The museum showcases interactive exhibits that offer insights into the early American way of life, with a particular focus on Frederick's agricultural and transportation history. Built by Thomas Johnson, Maryland's first elected governor and Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court, this grand Federal mansion boasts an impressive two-story porch supported by Doric and Ionic columns.
A little hidden gem! Location is more or less build as a children’s museum. However, adults can enjoy the experience as well! Because it is aimed at children, it is hands-on. You can touch! Which is actually quite fun even for an adult to be able to touch the furniture pieces.
It is from the family of the first governor. It is not his house. It is his daughters.
There is a carriage museum - with a beautiful collection of restored vehicles, an original log cabin, and more!

Came from Winchester to visit as I found out that I was related to Ann Johnson (nee. Jennings). I was delighted at how inviting and friendly everyone was! Went on a tour and my guide, Vicky (I hope I got it right!) was an absolute gem! She was warm and very knowledgeable. I had a great time talking about history and how the house had had quite an interesting story. Very kid friendly. The carriage house is full of really neat artifacts. The Victorian hearse was my favorite. The grounds are well kept and it was peaceful for being in the middle of town. I’ll definitely be back!
As someone who enjoys exploring historical houses, learning about the people who lived them and the history that surrounded them. I found this trip very pleasant. It was only $5 for admission which is not bad for all that you get a multi-room house with interactive displays in a beautiful garden outside.
So glad we stopped by here! The staff/volunteers are so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Every staff member we came across engaged our 6 and 8 year old in a fun lesson with hands on activities. We were told to check out the creek behind the dairy barn and the kids ended up spending a good hour or so trying to catch crawfish. Would definitely come back again to visit!
Absolutely excellent! Well worth the $5 admission. Beautifully maintained and extremely educational as well as child friendly. We couldn't have had a better time, check it out for sure!
A beautiful home and grounds very paint worthy if you are an artist. The interior of the home is beautiful and is accessible to all who enter the staff was very nice and accommodating.
This is a nice park to walk around in, learn about local history, visit the gardens. It’s nice in any season and they have lots of events for kids.
The WWII event at Rosehill Manor was really wonderful. The soldiers took young and old visitors on a trip to the past. The UFO show gave us Laurel and Hardy skits, big band singers and entertained everyone. Seeing the old trucks, cars, tents filled with only that era's communication tools made one realize that the lack of computers, cell phones and gadgets still enabled our men and women the ability to put a stop to Hitler.

Visited Fifty Fifty on a Friday afternoon and enjoyed a fantastic burger accompanied by a generous portion of fries. The lunch deals offered at this establishment are impressive, and it is conveniently situated within olde mothers, providing the opportunity to enjoy a beer while waiting for your order. The burgers here are excellent and reasonably priced, making it an ideal spot for lunch. Additionally, their special Old Bay fries are highly enjoyable.
I can’t believe we’ve never been here before. Suppose is such Hidden gem. We came hungry and left full and satisfied. Start our order off crispy onion rings, and the best seasoned Old Bay that I’ve ever had. I got the old-fashioned burger and added candied jalapeños, which were surprisingly very tasty and not too spicy. I think the key to the burgers are there half bacon and half ground beef, which takes the taste of the next level. We arrive right at lunchtime and we were the only people in here for a while before the lunch rush came in, but don’t worry there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.

Interesting concept. 50% beef 50% bacon. You can taste the 50% bacon. I would almost say it’s too much bacon. Now don’t get me wrong. It was still delicious and would recommend a stop. But not your typical burger. Reminds me of an elevated 5 guys. Got the build your own and Oklahoma animal and sweet potato fries.
Really enjoyed our first visit here. Really good bacon/beef burgers. Had the make-your-own, Waffle burger, and chicken sandwich. Everyone was happy with their meal. Canned drinks? Talk about a hidden gem. Had a superb burger, fries and onion rings at Fifty-Fifty recently. These are smash burgers done right! I know some reviews have suggested that these burgers are similar style to five guys, which is true, but personally I found it to be better. Juicier, tastier patties and the sauce was outstanding. Not only are the burgers great but the atmosphere was buzzing. Really reasonable prices also. Great place to watch some college basketball while enjoying outstanding burgers and brews. Definitely coming back.
Good but not worth all the hype. The Peter Piper was delicious, highly recommend adding carmelized onions and tomato but that poblano cream cheese is the star. The old fashioned burger sounded better than it tasted. Just odd they choose to put the carmelized onions in the bottom of the bun cuz we took ours to go and it started to get soggy quickly.

This place is hands down one of the best burger spots I’ve ever been to! The burgers are not only delicious but also super creative — every bite has something unique. The staff are all friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. The owner, Jonathan, is such a cool guy and clearly cares about both the food and the customers. I also love that they have fun merchandise you can grab to remember your visit. On top of all that, there’s plenty of seating, so you never feel cramped. Highly recommend if you’re looking for amazing burgers and a great vibe!
It was amazing. I got the burger titled "I Can't Feel My Face"...I could feel it. For the next two hours. Im not complaining. I wanted hot, and for once, I got it. Delicious, but damn it's hot.
My wife, daughter and son got regular burgers and they were also delicious. The Old Bay fries and sweet potato fries were perfectly crispy.
***Additional thought...If you would like to lower the prison population in this country, we can start using the ghost pepper sauce on the burger I bought as a form of punishment. It will correct the direction of the hooligans!!! Just joking....but it is that hot. Be safe.

Love the food. Talk about 7 layers of flavor! Delicious. Huge portions ( we took home 2 “doggie bags” for lunch the next day. Reasonable prices. Perfectly spiced!
My ever lovin’ and I tried Bloom for the first time last Sunday and we will definitely be back!

Very nice vibe and ambience. The waitress was very attentive. The appetizers and tapas were the highlight for sure. The bar is beautiful to drink at. Definitely recommend the plates are presented beautifully.
Amazing atmosphere the space was clearly well thought out and detailed, I did wish the vegetarian options had that same level of care. We split the dumplings for the table which were good and the vegetable tempura which I enjoyed. The food was all large proportions but I would’ve loved an option to switch out meat for a meat free alternative.

Stopped in here somewhat on a whim. Most of the restaurants we passed served little to no vegetarian options. We came upon Bloom and liked the menu but once we looked inside we HAD to go in!
Its one of the most uniquely decorated restaurants I've been in...it was a Saturday and it was almost empty but they greeted us warmly and were extremely attentive.
I'm no expert on Asian food but my Bao Bun was delicious, though the basic BS fries they served with it were confusing & not good...and my girlfriend got a great looking & tasting ramen.
Maybe I need to go back a few times but everything on the menu sounded delicious and we couldn't help thinking that it should've been busier.
My family and I were in the area and decided to check out this restaurant. It’s a mix of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Thai cuisines, and it’s amazing how they blend all those flavors into unique dishes. We tried two different dumplings - one Thai and one I think Chinese-based. Both were really tasty, although my family preferred the Chinese dumpling. The ribeye steak appetizer was flavorful, but I wasn’t a fan of the fish sauce and dry chili dipping sauce that came with it. All of our entrees were delicious, though. I got the fried rice, my wife got the garlic crispy chicken bowl, and my son got the Beef Bulgogi bowl. We ended up finishing everything! One thing I did notice was that the menu was a bit confusing, and I wasn’t sure what the appetizers were. Overall, we’d definitely go back again!
The food was great and fair for the price. Very unique flavors and options. Everything we got was very delicious and felt food we is great!
Amazing experience! The food was absolutely delightful and delicious. My wife got an amazing tonkatsu ramen! She absolutely loved it and the little she gave me to taste made me know I had found the best ramen on the east coast. I ordered bulgogi bowl. Fantastic dish which had so much flavor. We also had the Chor Muang as an appetizer which was a dumpling in the shape of a flower. How else can I describe it but out of the world presentation and otherworldly taste. I will 1000% be back and hopefully sooner rather than later.

Absolutely delicious! Super cool place to eat at. I love trying local restaurants while I’m visiting a different town. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with potatoes. The service was excellent as well🙂 I highly recommend trying Beans & Bagels if you’re nearby!

I’ve been coming to Bean & Bagels for close to 20 years now. The owner always remembers me, my Family, and my favorite drink. The bagels are Excellent!!! My personal favorite is the sun-dried tomato bagel BLT with a mocha breve. Pure indulgence. There is pleasant seating outside and the inside has oodles of neighborhood cafe charm. Places come and go in Frederick all the time but if you want to experience a real institution of the city m, then you should definitely visit Beans & Bagels!

No cortado on the menu so I ordered a cappuccino. It was not as creamy as I would prefer, but I did enjoy all that fluffy foam on top.
I also ordered a tuna salad on a bagel. The bagel was amazing, but the salad was a bit watery. There were many options for bagels to choose from.
Enjoying life one cortado/cappuccino at a time. 😉
Its like eating breakfast at grandma's house. The crew is friendly, the food is tasty and the people are friendly. Love downtown Frederick!
First time here for a phone order (breakfast) for carryout. I had the 2 eggs, sausage, home fries with toast, my co-worker had a bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese. There are lots of choices for each of the breakfasts we ordered and plenty of sides to add on. We grabbed some drinks from the cooler and I ordered a black coffee. Love the atmosphere and the menu selection. The servers/employees were very kind and helpful. Parking on the street in the early morning (we went around 8:15 AM) is easy and plentiful since it's not a busy time of day. We didn't feed the parking meter, we were able to go right in and get our order. The food was fabulous and the serving sizes were pretty decent. The black coffee is superb! Def. will go back, we highly recommend them for breakfast. Next time we will try the sandwiches. :)
Very cute inside, friendly staff, really good bagels. Make sure to come before noon, bagels sell out fast but are very good. The cream cheese is also amazing, and homemade. This is the best bagel place I have tried downtown!
Great lunch and breakfast spot in downtown Frederick. Bagels were tasty and almost everything we had was homemade. We could taste the freshness and quality. A nice stop off route 15, 70 or 270 if your passing through town. We will continue to stop here for the friendly faces and the great food.
I moved from NY to Frederick a few months ago. Every New Yorker immediately looks for a good bacon, egg & cheese on an everything bagel when they move and almost always is let down. This place however delivers. Great bagels, kind service, chill atmosphere. People seem to know each other here, a real gathering spot I love this place and can’t see enough praise. I’ve been there several times and it’s always consistent 👏

Located in an ideal spot on the north side of downtown Frederick, it offers authentic Italian pizza cooked in a brick oven. The portions are generous, the service is welcoming, and the food is delightful. Visitors can enjoy their meal in a beautiful outdoor seating area and top off their dining experience with delectable desserts like mint chocolate chip gelato served with a delightful wafer.
Lunch menu is the best.
I ordered 4 different pizzas.
Bianca is the best to me.
Calabrese is a little strong to me.
Napoletana and Supremo Italiano are good.

This pizza spot nails it! The vibe is fun and cozy, and the pizza is seriously delicious—crispy crust, loaded with fresh toppings, and packed with flavor. Portion sizes are no joke—one pie easily feeds 3–4 people. Don’t sleep on dessert either—the ice cream and treats are just as amazing. A perfect place to eat, chill, and indulge! 🍕🍨
This is the best pizza I have ever had outside of NYC. Wood fired is the only way to bake a pie. Their pizzas are AMAZING! And the decor is something to behold. This is a next level authentic Italian pizza place. It won’t disappoint!

There are plenty of spaces with big long tables inside, so you may have to share a table with others.

You walk into this space and the aroma of pizza is fantastic! My wife and I came here on a Saturday afternoon. We had tried previously(a Friday night)but there is pretty limited parking and we went someplace else. This space is nice and open, big band music sets a great tone. We had the ham, mushroom and artichoke heart pizza. It was great! I love char on my pizza crust and this was perfect. A pizza is 8 slices and I was satisfied after 3! I saw someone get a salad that was huge! I’m excited to try the coconut gelato! On a hot day it looked popular! Definitely coming back!
We were greeted with a smile and did not have a long wait for our food. We ordered the caprese salad and Bianca pizza. They were delicious! Great food for a great price. Just be aware that the inside seats are long cafeteria style benches and tables. There are not seat with backs and if you have a small party you will most likely end up sharing a table.
My boyfriend and I shared a pepperoni pizza and it was large enough to have leftovers! Cooked to perfection, not over sauced or over baked. Can’t wait to come back. Oh and not a long wait time either. Super in love with this place and service.
Hands down the best pizza in Frederick. Their pizza is made in an authentic brick oven, wood fired. All of their pizzas are great, they have options for people with dairy allergies too. They serve home made desserts, gelato, and beer. You can even take home some frozen pizzas when you’re done.
