Shopping
Welcome to Rio, a vibrant waterfront shopping center that promises an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages. This bustling complex is a hub of activity, featuring an array of shops and delightful dining options alongside recreational facilities like paddle boats and scenic walking trails. Following a recent renovation, Rio has become even more popular among locals and tourists alike. The atmosphere here is electric, especially during the lively events held throughout the season.
This is a great place! Always popular and bustling with people from all walks of life. It's a fairly large complex offering numerous facilities, including shopping, dining, casual spots, walking areas, and recreational activities. A renovation a few years ago made it even more popular among locals. There are frequent live events during the season. Come and visit!

This establishment is excellent for families and children, offering numerous restaurants and a Disney-esque atmosphere reminiscent of Downtown Disney in Florida, conveniently located near Washington, D.C.

What a wonderful haven in Gaithersburgh! Perfect for the entire family. Clean and inviting and everything you might need in one place. Loved staying around here and the wild life is extraordinary! Multi-cultural, safe and fun! I'll be back I'm sure!

Nice large outdoor mall. Beautifully built and looks luxurious. There is even a hotel in the mall. Lots of restaurants to choose from and plenty of stores. They have lake where you can paddle boat and a feeder that you can feed the fish! On the other side of the lake there is carrousel and a large playground. They do have parking garages but the layout of the one I parked in was confusing because it’s not all one way that I am used. It’s one way on some and two ways in other parts and you’re all over the place. Almost missed the exit on the way out since there wasn’t a sign pointing the exit out. Other than that it was a great visit and I would I return again
Adam Z — Google review
Excellent location plenty of attractions for kids and families. The lake and boardwalk make this location unique! There’s few hotels and theatre nearby and there’s even a small IKEA store near the bridge.

Rio Town Center is a great place to walk with the family, shop, and eat. It has a playground for the little ones, a carousel, and paddle boats for rent. It is clean and has many good quality restaurants!
Ed C — Google review
You know what, Rio was pretty fun. There is so much to do in terms of dining exploration and simply having a relaxing time I enjoyed having a nice stroll through the park. All the food smells delicious and I think I really appreciated the amount of diversity that I saw in the area people of all kinds and walks of life overall, it was a good time and I’ll definitely come back again.
Nigel Y — Google review
Whether you want to shop, dine out, go on a walk, or just be in a vibrant area, the Rio is worth a visit. They have big stores (Kohls, Target, Dick's, Barnes & Noble, IKEA), smaller stores, many restaurants, a playground, a carousel, and the lake with a path for nice walks. It is one of my favorite shopping centers in the DMV.

Brought my family here and had a great time! Reasonably priced and no wait time. They also have an arcade, laser tag, food and amazing combo prices. We had a great first time, the place was clean, kid friendly and the staff were very polite.

Great spot! Brought my family for some fun. The man in glasses was kind and explained how things worked since it was our first time visiting. We decided to order some pizza some issues occured, but The manager was transparent and managed to Take care of the situation. The mini golf was fun the games were fun. Would definitely recommend. I will say we went during a time where most families already left so we basically had the place to ourselves. When it was time to go then people started to pile in. If you can time it like we did. You'll have bounds more fun! Thanks Monster Mini golf team for taking care of us!

My son and I had a blast playing mini golf and the video games. Priced well and no wait.

It’s a great place to spend time with your children, especially when the weather is cold, there are many arcade games.
Samuel T — Google review
Nice, place for a party or summer activities. Cool variety of online activity packages. We used the family package for $125+ taxes, which provided 1hr and 45min of summer fun. The pizza was good. Joe, a manager, was really nice and informative and a great host! Tammy, at the food bar, was nice and helped consolidate all points onto one card to make it easier to pick prizes for our group. Haven was patient and gave great customer service to help our kiddos pick our prizes. Overall games are updated for all ages starting at 3. The bathrooms were super clean and smelled good. We will go again. The games start at $1, a little high, but there are games that if levels are achieved quickly, then more time is given. So there is a balance. There is only two lanes for bowling, but it was down when we went. Next time, we may do the virtual thing, Lazer maze, and arcade. Check it out!
Èl C — Google review
Really is fun for the whole family. We took my partners family in their 70s and they enjoyed it. Might be a new family tradition to play mini golf every visit back. Great way to escape either the heat and humidity, snow, or the rain depending on what time of year it is.

Went to monster golf on a rainy day and it was a perfect spot for my kids and i to unwind. The course was fun and we even enjoyed the bowling lanes in the back by the grill. This is a cool place

Everything was on time, the prices were even good. The communication was excellent as everything was well organized. All of my party guest had a blast! Monster Mini Golf + has this party thing on point…. true party professionals. I will be back to try the games and activities we didn’t get a chance to try. Thank you for everything! Martrelle

A Game of Rooms in Rockville hosted a 12th birthday party in their 'Escape Detention' room. It was the first time for most of the large group to try an escape room, and there were concerns about whether they would succeed. However, the guide named Andy was extremely helpful and kept the group on track with useful hints throughout the experience. They managed to escape successfully, leaving everyone feeling accomplished and triumphant.
Had a great time completing both of these rooms with my partner! Both rooms are great! Puzzles all well thought out and made sense. Ran into some unique puzzles too in both rooms. Ren was our game master and she was so nice and helpful. Can’t wait until their 3rd room opens up!
Catherine C — Google review
Ranger Ren was the best!! Our family had the best time. The puzzles were hard but we toughed it out!! We may have had a few clues but no shame! I highly recommend this escape room!
Veronica S — Google review
Did an escape room here with my large family today and it was an excellent experience! Ren was our ranger and she was an amazing help. I highly recommend dropping in for a family or friend outing!
Shannon S — Google review
AWESOME time! We did the ski cabin room and it was really exciting. Two of our teammates were doing a room for the first time and Ren was super helpful in explaining it to them. She also gave good hints (which we used a little too much) that nudged us in the right direction without giving away the answer. 10/10 experience and I will definitively come back to try another room.
Keyan B — Google review
We were visiting the Rockville area from SF and wanted to show my mom and brother what escape rooms were to have some quality family time. We did the detention themed room and it was so much fun! Rodd was super friendly, helpful, and patient with our questions (no matter how strange) 😂. The puzzles were interesting and clever and this was a top notch quality escape room situated in the suburbs or Maryland. We definitely will be coming back for the camp themed one (which we heard is even more challenging!)
Crystal W — Google review
My group had so much fun! The detention room was definitely challenging but only required a few hints. Our substitute teacher Ren was very helpful if we required assistance. Definitely recommend if you need some entertainment!
Lauren A — Google review
We were a little lost at first so Ren gave us a fair amount of clues, but as we progressed, we got the hang of it and she let us take the reins. Our 7-person team was a mix of people who enjoyed escape room games (but never won) and newbies. The game consisted of different types of puzzles so everyone could participate. Best of all, we Escaped from Detention!!

We did the cabin puzzle and had a great time! Ren was awesome, she gave us a great balance of puzzling it out and giving the right amount of help when we needed it. The puzzles were fun and a good level of challenge.

Dawson's Market is a large, upscale grocery and natural foods store located on Washington St. in Rockville. The market prides itself on being the heart and soul of the community by offering a wide selection of local and organic foods. In addition to locavore produce, meats, and wines, Dawson's Market also provides special menus for holidays like Hanukkah, featuring a variety of entrees, sides, desserts, and drinks including kosher wines.
I'm giving Dawson's 5* in memoriam. I would come here while my kids were at swim practice nearby..... came here for pastry and coffee when they opened, or salad bar stuff and a beer during the day. staff always very nice and knowledgeable. they had a great selection with the earth-friendly and health-conscious customer in mind. organic produce, fresh meats and fish, amazing salad bar, beer and wine, 4-stool bar, eating area, book area, a coffee shop..... this place had it all.
Dominick A — Google review
Been coming here for 5+ years, unfortunately, won’t be returning. The owner racially profiled me and my cousin visiting from Switzerland, with intense following, circling around, and pointing at us with a colleague, the customer service that rang me up was not surprised by this behavior. Completely unacceptable. These stores don’t belong in the DMV or Montgomery County. They should take their business elsewhere cause they clearly don’t value diversity.
Hilario M — Google review
Fantastic family owned grocery! I just moved to Rockville and have found the staff at Dawson’s to be very friendly, showcasing fresh produce and a variety of brands similar to Whole Foods. It makes Rockville feel like a home. I hope they stick around.

Go grocery shopping here and find healthier options as well as fresh baked goods and a great beer or wine as well! These folks are also wonderful to work with if you want to host a morning work conference or seminar for the community. We love Dawson’s!

i came here to buy muffins before, they were good each time. however, the prices were dang too high. i have a job in the area but stopped going to dawsons for food mainly cause of the prices. i had some canned coffee latte or whatever it was, but it tasted almost expired. the food you could grab at that bar for lunch and take with you were okay, but some days the food tasted cold. not much taste to it.

One of the best organic and healthy grocery stores in all of the DMV! Particularly, I really love the fact that they carry Susosu Water, a local premium water brand! Highly recommend you guys try it out! Best quality water I've had!

Fast food restaurant
Five Guys is a popular fast-food chain known for their customized burgers, fries, and hot dogs. They have been consistently delivering high-quality food for many years. One of the highlights is how they generously serve overflowing portions of fries, making customers feel special. This attention to detail sets them apart from other establishments. Many people appreciate the convenience of late-night visits when cravings strike. Five Guys' dedication to their craft shines through in their phenomenal burgers that are made-to-order with precision.
Loved the sandwich and the location is quite convenient in Rockville.
Mayank P — Google review
The staff is sometimes apathetic and doesn't pay attention to you. This order took 25 minutes to wait. Time must be respected, and for us who offer delivery service, time is crucial. While your employees have a fixed salary, delivery drivers only earn money per delivery. In other words, if you take too long, this driver doesn't earn money and the chain breaks. Not only that: WE ARE THE FACE TO THE CUSTOMER WHEN PICKING UP THEIR ORDER. CAN YOU IMAGINE BEING THAT CUSTOMER and seeing the apathy and long waiting times? Anexo video se certifique abril 25

I found toenails in my burger! Toe nails! And to top it off, it tasted like urine, and yes I know what that tastes like. Never come to this five guys, I would like a refund. 40$ for me and my brother to eat, yet the cashier was spitting in my face while talking while I was handing him the cash.
Rayyan H — Google review
We found HAIR in our food and when we tried to get a refund and order, the lady at the counter was so rude and had a lot of attitude towards both of my friends. One found hair in her burger and the other found it in her fries, they both paid 16 dollars to get bad service and hair in their food. DO NOT COME HERE!
Lia — Google review
If you haven't eaten at Five Guys yet, borrow some money from your friends or your parents and run there. The fries alone are worth the trip.

Place was nearly empty when I arrived just past the lunch hour. I tried something new - the hot dog with bacon and cheese, a small order of fries and a water. SHOCK- IT COST ME JUST UNDER 20$.

5 guys rockville says free delivery. Dont do it. They send it out through Uber. I order at 5pm. Estimated arrival at 5:37. 630 rolls around. Nothing. No way to call, cancel or ask about status. Uber text is not responsive, cancel link doesn't work. I call the store, they know nothing. Then they say food is being picked up at 6:42 and delivered at 7. Food is thrown at the doorstep and driver runs away. Food is 2 hours old, ice cold with receipt saying 5pm. No mechanism to ask about status, call or cancel. Im ok if its late or if there are issues, but this is terrible. EDIT: added screenshots and photo of stone cold sealed bag headed for trash. called credit card company to dispute the charge.

Italian restaurant
Fontina Grille is a neighborhood restaurant in Rockville's King Farm Village Center, offering Italian entrees and brick-oven pizza in a family-friendly setting. After reopening following a fire, the saffron-walled trattoria has been bustling with diners enjoying its Cal-Ital inspired menu of pastas, pizzas, and classic dishes like chicken marsala. The restaurant is known for its authentic Italian cuisine and reasonably priced house specialties made with attention to detail.
Came on a Sunday evening, not dressed up or anything and sat at the bar. The bartender was directly very nice (a tall beautiful blonde gal). She made me a great margarita. They have summer specials and I came wanting a steak and ended up getting one of their specials - the bronzini. It was very well cooked and delicious! It reminded me of Europe right away - no grease, no extra stuff. For desert I had the tiramisu and if you are a fan of this dessert, make sure you come here to try it and see how it’s actually supposed to taste 😉. All in all a great vibe and a great place whether you feel like dressing up and be fancy or just show up in he most casual of outfits! A+ , totally recommend, the food is the best.
Claudia C — Google review
My boyfriend and I went on Sunday, and our waitress was very attentive. Although she was busy, she consistently checked in on us to ensure everything was to our liking. The food was delicious!- definitely try the Meatball Fradiablo and Lobster Ravioli! My only suggestion to the restaurant would be to inspect their tableware more carefully, as two of ours had broken edges and some felt greasy and dirty on the sides.
Andrea N — Google review
Love this place! Fontina Grille is always a hit. I usually get the salmon salad and lunch-sized penne vodka—so good every time, and there’s always enough for leftovers. I ordered from the parking lot and got my food super fast. The salad comes with feta and red onion (not in the pic), which I gave to my sister—she’s all about it. Definitely recommend!
Ursula — Google review
Great atmosphere and plenty of seating. Melissa is a wonderful server- so attentive! Took friends here and they loved it. Both had pizza and blackened chicken alfredo. I get the shrimp and crab aurora but i switch out the aurora sauce for alfredo-- freakin amazing. We had the bomba dessert too and was enough to share;) Has a chocolate shell that will take you back to your childhood along with good ol' vanilla and chocolate ice cream. Even a surprise cherry inside the dessert. Go Now friends. You won't be disappointed! Also the foccacia in the bread basket with the olive oil/parm is delicious. Sorry no pix- we had just gone apple picking and we were all so hungry! lol

This is the kind of place you wish every neighborhood had, great food, amazing ownership friendly staff, and a warm charming atmosphere. I live in VA, but regularly go to this area for family. Whenever I can I get to go and drive it 30 minutes to have with my family at home. The mushroom appetizer is awesome, the lasagna really good, and the Veal dishes are fantastic. To top it off the tiramisu is creamy and not overly sweet. It’s the kind of place you could go regularly, and not get bored because you know the food is good, the informants are quality and they operate with care. The one time I had a chance to eat in I ate at the bar and the waitstaff/bartender was great!
Lou K — Google review
Food was good, but I did find a hair in my dish. Our waitress was delightful, though overall table service staff felt a bit unfriendly by tossing bread onto our table without a smile or greeting. Cleanliness could definitely use more attention, dusty chair rails and dividers. With a little extra attention to cleanliness and consistency in service, this place could really shine. The friendly waitress is a great foundation, and I’d love to see the rest of the experience match that same level of care.
SMS 4 — Google review
This is the fourth time I've been to this restaurant. I've only eaten in the dining area once because the service is terrible, but the food is decent. I always try to order takeout. This last time I ordered lasagna and chicken marsala. When we tried it, it had a strange taste. Sadly, I got food poisoning from this meal(undercooked chicken). It's not the first time. My husband had previously ordered chicken parmesan and was unable to work for a week because his intestinal flora was destroyed (thanks for the week off), first we thought could have been something else. After this, I called to inform them of what had happened, i didnt want any refund just to tell them to be more careful. The manager, Carlos, simply ignored everything I said and put me on hold. He never returned my call. It is very unfortunate what has been happening lately at this restaurant.

Came for the Wednesday buy one get one half off pizza deal. I felt it was very worth the price. My favorite was the Steak House. It was very tasty without being oily. I thought the Pizza Ala Vodka and Wild Truffle were good too but they were definitely more on the oily side. Will definitely come back for this deal in the future and also plan to try the Monday pasta deal sometime. Recommend!

Small plates restaurant
Botanero Restaurant, located in the King Farm Village Center in Rockville, offers a globally inspired menu featuring Cuban sandwiches, Caesar salad, traditional Spanish paella dinners, and hamburgers. The restaurant's laid-back atmosphere allows diners to enjoy their meals without feeling rushed. It is known for its seasonal Spanish tapas and sleek wine bar, making it perfect for date nights or happy hour drinks.
Everything we ate was good to great, my favorites being the Shrimp Tempura, Deviled Eggs and Brussels Sprouts. Hard to say what was reasonably priced or overly priced but the total was definitely more than I thought it would be as the tapas/small plates really add up. Our server did a great job and gave great suggestions on what to order. Probably not somewhere I would want to come all the time but nice place for a special occasion or get-together with friends.
Yiran L — Google review
The server was very friendly and attentive, quickly resolving a mistake with our order. We especially loved the flaming shrimp — it was both entertaining to watch and packed with flavor. The braised beef short ribs were wonderfully tender, with seasoning that hit all the right notes. The crab dip and croquettes were tasty, though they didn’t stand out as particularly memorable. I really enjoyed the seasoning on the fish, but unfortunately, it was overcooked and had a bitter, burnt taste. The seared scallop fell short as well — the texture and flavors didn’t quite come together, so I wouldn’t recommend that dish. The dining space felt quite small and a bit cramped, which made it less comfortable. On a positive note, they do have a bar with a good selection of wines and cocktails.
Rosie Y — Google review
This is a good place to hang out with your friends. The place is small but comfy enough. Food is delicious. We ordered Thai Chicken Spring Roll, Chicken Croquette, Fried Calamari, ShrimpTempura, Fried Mozarella and Skirt Steak. All of them are good! Their service was excellent too. We didn't wait for too long for the food. Would love to come back here!
Sita A — Google review
So we ordered to go while at work...Paella Del Mar, Seared Scallops, Ceviche, Fried Mozzarella, Beet Salad w/Shrimp, Bourbon Wings, Chicken Croquettes and Basque Cheesecake. Items that we were not enthused about: Seared Scallops, the scallops were great but the Risotto was watery and not because of the condensation either, I know a watery risotto when I see one. Missing some salt/seasoning so it had the creamy element attempted but did not drive it home with the flavor and consistency. Basque Cheesecake, this must be where the salt was placed that was missing from the Risotto that came with the scallops. It was very salty although they nailed the creamy/custard inside and caramelized outside it was just too savory and not at all sweet but the berry compote was OK. Beet Salad w/Shrimp had burnt shrimp which was super weird being that shrimp should never be burnt, but they were successful in doing so. Everything else was really good especially the Paella, could taste the saffron and everything, Chef's Kiss 🤌🏾 Being the self declared foodie that I am, I would still try this place again being that I think their menu is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I just feel like because we did pick up we got the short end of the stick and that shouldn't be the case. If a restaurant can't deliver the same quality food for pick up then they shouldn't offer it.
Sandra R — Google review
My first time here was with a group of 12 for a birthday dinner. Service was excellent including making sure the right people got the right food, answering our questions about the ingredients, accommodating vegan options, and providing separate checks. Pictured: shrimp flambe and a beautiful lavender drink. Every drink and dish we ordered was delicious!

Krispy Kreme is a well-established chain that offers a wide variety of donut flavors and shapes, along with coffee and frozen beverages. The store itself is impressive, with a large and clean dining area. The staff are friendly, resulting in short and efficient lines. Although there have been minor issues with sticky floors on occasion, this does not impact the overall positive experience.
Got donuts for national coffee day and also got 3 free ones with a purchase. The churro donuts were really good! Not very surprised by the creme ones. Glazed ones never disappoint. Definitely fulfilled the donut craving for me and my friends! The A/C was not working very well so it was really hot. I felt bad for the workers because we could barely stay and eat the donuts there 👀

We've been going to Krispy Kreme at this location for years, which is the best in the DMV! The staff are helpful and friendly, despite the number of customers, and the lines are rarely long, except on National Donut Day. The company constantly offer promotions, so if you like donuts, download the app.

3 stars for 3 reasons 1. Donuts are pretty good. Free original glaze when the red light turns off 2. Price is ok for todays economy. Better if you had coupon or something like that. 3. Nice variety of donuts to pick from! Minus 2 stars for 2 reasons 1. Red light was on but I received old original glazed donuts 2. Slow service! Super slow! Waited in line for almost 15 mins. They gotta figure a better system.

When I stopped in for fresh warm donuts this morning, one young man immediately stood out. Riley greeted every customer with a genuine smile and warm welcome—it was clear he truly enjoys his work. Between serving customers, tidying up, and even troubleshooting the AC, he was constantly on the move, giving his all. I want to give a big shoutout to Krispy Kreme for hiring such a dedicated employee. Riley, you represent the company exceptionally well—keep up the great work!

Placed online order days ago for 930AM pickup. Line out the door when I arrived, dozens of people with online orders who still haven't been served. One lady says she's been waiting an hour and a half. Manager yelling at everyone and walks out of the store. Total chaos. And no, I never got my donuts.
Sadiq A — Google review
I have been going to this location for a long time and have always had a wonderful experience there. Donuts are always wonderful and when the red light is on, it is almost always warm. Service is really great too, always welcomed with a nice smile. Thank you Destiny for helping me recently with my purchase!

This is my first time visiting this place to pick up an order that was placed yesterday. The order was not ready, and they did not want to try to get my order done. Instead, they wanted to give me a refund. I explained to them this is for an event tomorrow. Then I was told to wait 20 minutes but actually waited 40 minutes. I asked to speak with a manager to get to get at least free dount for my son who was waiting with me. The manager on site denied the request and told me that I had been refunding everyone today and had to ask my employer to stop doing what she was doing to get your donut done. I will not be coming back.

Nature & Parks
Rock Creek Regional Park is a vast and well-kept park with various regions to explore, including a golf course. There are multiple hiking trails and lakeshore areas for wildlife watching, as well as playgrounds and boat rentals. The park contains many different picnicking areas, canoeing opportunities, and open land for outdoor activities. It is ideal for walking and cycling during all seasons of the year. Additionally, kids can learn about nature by observing bugs and streams in the park's ample vegetation.
Lake Needwood is a gem of a spot in Montgomery County. If you avoid the obvious areas, fishing can be awesome. The park itself is great. I've been fishing there for many years and finally decided to try the opposite shoreline and caught these beauties using a new lure called scat cover in green and blue fleck. The bass love it. There's also great crappie fishing here.

We stumbled across this state park on the internet and glad we did. We drove 1 hour to get there from Hagerstown. There was plenty of parking. The trails were easy to follow and clean. Loved there were stops to get off the trail for the dogs to play in the water. The lake was nice. Defintly would visit again and tell others.

This place is honestly beautiful. Fishing was alright, no big fish. Place is optimal for hiking I want to say. Lots of roots that help you on your way up and down. There's parking and it's pretty clean.

It’s perfect hike around the lake. It has kayak launch. And boat ramp. Beautiful area with Lake view. Got some nice colors right now. 2.5-3 miles lopes. Parking are in many places. Dog friendly!

Love this place. Really fun trails that definitely throw some challenging roots and gullies near the lake but certainly not too difficult. Fun to see and hear the animals all over the place.

Very quiet and clean. Nice place to go with family. We took the kids boating. Definitely a work out so you may want to have folks in your boat that know what their doing, don't mind switching shifts or are ok with rowing the whole time. They also have pedal boats, tours, kayaks and canoes. They have picnic areas that are really cute too for parties.

Fun & Games
Sports Complexes
Rockville Ice Arena is a top-notch facility with three full-size rinks catering to figure skating, ice hockey, and community skating activities. The arena offers various in-house programs including skating lessons for all levels and beginner hockey instruction. It serves as the home to three prominent hockey teams and hosts high-caliber youth hockey programs. Visitors can enjoy a clean facility with helpful staff, although some suggest the need for improved accessibility features like ramps.
I hosted my daughter's 9 year old ice skating birthday party here, and it was a fantastic experience. Brian and his staff were responsive and professional. Prior to our ice time, staff laid out the skate helpers and several staff members went out on the ice to supervise. Everything couldn't have run smoother. Highly recommend this rink!
Gina P — Google review
My son-in-law and I took my 3 year-old grandson to the skating rink for his first skating lesson. It was so cute with 7 toddlers on the ice mostly falling down and trying to get back up. The rink has a snack bar and a pro shop with a large variety of clothing and equipment for hockey or figure skating. The skates were not in great condition and didn't follow standard sizes that would match shoe sizes well. Also, there should have been 2 instructors for the class but there only was one.
Ida D — Google review
Really nice three sheet facility, locker rooms were clean and in good condition. The ice was good and set up nice after the zam cut.
Daniel M — Google review
Nice rink. Parking area not well lit. Really nice lounge area upstairs to watch a game in a warm setting. Snack bar was good. Good options there for a drink and a quick snack. Saw a speed skating club getting ready to skate. Haven't seen that before so I guess it's the place to go for speed skating. The bathroom had an odor that I'm not sure could have been human. Hold your breath before you go in there but other than that a nice rink.
Maggie B — Google review
I play hockey in every Rink in the DMV. This place checks all the boxes. 3 sheets, decent pro-shop with a profiling machine (*bonus), decent size locker rooms and showers with pressure and automatic entry doors. Double bonus, the parking lot is flat which makes for level surface to park your RV on tournament weekends. There'd bigger ,newer, more trendy rinks around.... this one just does everything right.
Mike N — Google review
Nice and clean facility with helpful employees. Although I figure skate occasionally as a hobby, my review is not for using the ice here (because I have not) but for visiting as a spectator. I come sometimes with a dear childhood friend whose daughter plays hockey. One critique I have is that a ramp to the bleachers in Rink 1 would be so helpful to my friend who is walker dependent due to a neurological disease. How much would it cost to install a ramp by those stairs? I can only imagine there are other spectators who would benefit from better accessibility as well. It pains me to see anyone struggle with basic accommodations in public places this day and age.
Sophia C — Google review
My daughter recently started a skating class from here, and we started going for public skating too. Their classes are efficient and instructors are great. I can see all the kids really enjoying to learn and having fun. Their public skating time can be crowded but I have never seen any injuries so far and they make sure to clean the rink every hour or so. They have total 3 rinks and have ice hockey teams playing as well. They have nice and sturdy beginner holders so that kids can still enjoy skating even if they dont know how to skate or scared. They also have generous sitting benches right next to the rinks and outside. Inside benches get real cold but it is nice to sit and watch your little ones learning. Parking can be little tight and they have nice diner style restaurant and snack/ coffee bar. Renting skating system is extremely efficient and overall service is good. I really like this place and my daughter loves to skate. I think I will continue to come here for classes and public skating as long as she wants to come.
Yeajin S — Google review
It’s good rink and all but I am giving them one star now just to blow off steam. We missed our game today because their reception repeatedly told us our game was moved. The receptionist and his manager (?) were insisting that the game was supposed to be three hours later than scheduled. Pretty angry at the moment

Rockville Civic Center is a vast expanse of greenery, dotted with outdoor artwork and shaded paths. The park's well-maintained grounds are perfect for hosting events like weddings, while its staff is always on hand to offer useful information and assistance.
This place is HUGE. It took about five minutes to walk from the entrance to where the playground and picnic tables are. Because it’s December on a typical cold day, I have this huge place almost to myself (I did pass by a few people while walking). I came for the promise of trails and still haven’t found them because this place is big enough you can almost get lost without gps! So I’m happy because I have a nice long walk just trying to figure out where the mean for people to take nice long walks!

Was part of a private party at an event held in the mansion. It was nighttime so I i didn't get to see the exterior. The inside was pretty cool though, various pieces of art were on display. There is a rotating exhibit of donated art always on display it seems.

Not far from downtown Rockville, the RCC is another hidden gem in Rockville. This place is breath-taking with the Mansion in the middle of a beautiful scenery. Take a blanket and have a picnic, enjoy the nature beauty and take some amazing photos by the Mansion or in the gardens. The kids can run around, play at the playground and the you can visit the nearby nature center. If you are up to tennis, this place has four courts that are waiting for you to hit the ball. If you are still not tired, you can hike in the woods. What’s more than such a perfect day in the nature?

Nestled in the heart of the neighborhood, Jonathan's Sports Bar is a beloved local gem that embodies the spirit of community. This inviting hangout serves up classic pub fare alongside refreshing cocktails and ice-cold beers served in frozen mugs, making it an ideal spot for unwinding after a long day. With its warm atmosphere reminiscent of "Cheers," where everyone feels like family, it's no wonder patrons return week after week.
Such a cute place. Go back to dining room. Great service! We ordered the pizza and it was really good. The crust was homemade and good! Good prices too. Might seem like hole in wall it’s not inside! Give it a try!

A Five Star bar all around!!! Decided to stop in and check out Jonathan’s and man was I blown away! I love the “local, no frills” feel of this bar! It’s a bare bones, just amazing place! The service here is phenomenal, the lady who bartends was born to do it! The drinks are generous and potent (you will get your money’s worth), the food was good, I had a bacon cheeseburger with fries and it was amazing (the fries were especially crispy and hot), plenty of tv’s to watch whatever sporting event is on, and just when you think you’ve seen everything, the place explodes and all the locals show up and the party gets started! Everyone was super friendly, and what started as me coming in just to grab a beer, ended up being one of the best times I’ve had at a bar ever!! I can’t wait to get back to Jonathan’s!!
Joe T — Google review
What can I say about this place. My friends brought me here because they said it was a good place to grab a good bite and a good drink. The atmosphere was terrible, the food was worse. Not only did they get my friends the wrong food one friend found hairs in his Philly cheesesteak. I ordered a burger and after a couple of bites it meat tasted off. I took a third bite and immediately spit it out. The meat was completely rotten when I let the bar tender know she took it back to the cook who just shrugged it off like it was not a big deal. They didn't offer an apology for the rotten food, offer to replace it, or any kind of customer service. Instead the bartender avoided talking to me the rest of the time. This place is a menace and the cook is going to get someone seriously ill with their lack of care for their dishes. Avoid this bar at all cost, your bowels will thank you!

A great family place with a lil bit to everyone. It’s kind of a “Cheers”, where everybody knows your name :) If you like bars, there is a large separate place with friendly servers. If you like a quiet restaurant with comfort food, there is a nice separate area as well. People that goes there have been going almost weekly for years! It’s my safe place to eat dinner alone as a young woman, love the servers!
Janie R — Google review
Best place to get lit for cheap. Bartenders are some of the most friendly ever. Good is surprisingly delicious too. They have a nice full bar, anything you need. Their single shots are like double of all other places. Update: Their shots of 1800 went from $8 to $13 so that kinda sucked of but at least the shots are still healthy
AA-Ron — Google review
Went there for a late dinner on a Wednesday night. Started out with an appetizer sampler that was extra over-fried, to the point that the mini tacos snapped in half like a cracker. Then, main courses came out. Mine was decent but my partner ordered a burger. They spit out their second bite and tried a third. That's when they realized the burger meat was ROTTEN! Not only by taste but it smelled like rotten meat too 🤢. Really despicable and should be shut down for food safety issues. My other friend, who's familiar with this place over the years, said they have new management and that it has really gone downhill. It's unfortunate but the quality and safety of the food was so poor I don't know how this place continues to get 5 star reviews. I live nearby but I, nor any of my friends, will ever be returning. But hey, the beers were ok lol. We expected bar food and would have been happy with that. This was x1000 tiers worse than normal bar food.

Italian restaurant
Nestled in the Rock Creek Village shopping center, Ema Rossi Pizzeria is a delightful spot just a stone's throw from RHS. This charming eatery boasts a cozy outdoor dining area perfect for small groups, though be prepared for potential wait times during peak hours, especially on weekends.
For starters: Make a reservation. Even an early dinner on a random night poses a gamble to walk-ins. The vibe attracts a family dinner feel; the food speaks to a much higher standard of quality. Tucked away in an unassuming shopping center off 28, this independently-owned Italian gem is not to be missed. The boutique wine list is beautifully curated with Italian selections that each seem to have a story to tell. Regarding the food: the pizza is a MUST; the brick oven producing a thin, crisp, and delectable pie. We ordered a Margarita but the shrimp scampi pizza stood out as one of those most unique options! The watermelon strawberry gazpacho was a standout summer special that could not have been better executed. This is the kind of place that surprises you in all the right ways- especially when it comes time to pay the check. The prices are unbelievably reasonable. Looking forward to another dinner visit soon!

I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately the pizza we got had raw dough and was super wet on the bottom (which is probably why the dough didn’t bake all the way.) The service was good, the gnocchi was ok. We ordered grilled olives which were good but the dish they serve it in is super hot and with the small tables my finger hit it and got a burn. They need to address that before it becomes a lawsuit. I would’ve overlooked my little burn if the pizza was good but the raw dough gave my husband a stomachache. I don’t know if this was just our bad luck but it was our experience and that’s unfortunate because I was looking forward to trying them.

Food is okay, little over priced for mediocre quality, service is great collective and responsive, ambience is lovely. However ordered salmon with asparagus, it didn't have any asparagus, I didn't want to complain, service as mentioned was nice. Brussels were damp not crunchy, cauliflower were steamed without much flavor. Their pistachio cake needed some fruit to balance texture.

My favorite Neapolitan style pizza I've had in the area. I liked the doneness level and the taste was great without being oily. I also really liked the cauliflower and Brussels sprouts although I would have liked a bigger portion for the price. I think overall, everything was worth the price. Service was friendly but a tad slow some of the time, as the restaurant was quite busy when we went. Will definitely be back in the future. Recommend!

Pizza restaurant
Ledo Pizza in Derwood, MD, has been a beloved local establishment since 1955, renowned for its distinctive flaky rectangular crust and classic Italian dishes. Recently, I decided to try their carryout service after hearing so much about it. The online ordering process was seamless, and I appreciated the rewards program that offers enticing deals via email. I arrived just after they opened at 11 AM and picked up a large cheese pizza along with a medium sausage pie.
First timer here! After moving to maryland 5 years ago I have finally eaten Ledo pizza. Jumbo wings Are Jumbo 😋 crispy and delicious. I ordered the veggie and my souse got the Hawaiian. Both came out quick, crispy and cut in little rectangles. It reminds me of the pizza from Stained Glasss, we now refer to this as Maryland pizza. It is def its own type, but really good. The bread is a little flaky with a hint of sweetness. 🍕🔥

I tried the pasta salad as a side for a sandwich combo. Not a good decision. There was way too much dressing and filler. The pasta had no flavor. Whom ever made the salad needs to learn that you don't just dump one thing on top of another onto the serving plate. This would have been better if the filler (green pepper, chunks of red onion, feta cheese crumbs, finely grated parmesan) had been mixed with the pasta and just a small amount of dressing. The customer can always request more dressing, but once it's in, there's no going back. The sandwich, hot italian, also had too much dressing. It was dripping from the sandwich. In general, the dining room needs a refresh. It looks like it's ouut of the 60s.

Apparently, my in-laws have been going here for a decade or longer. Their steak and cheese sub sandwich is by far the best thing in their menu. They just do it right. The family enjoys their regular pizza but I don’t. They hardly put any sauce on the pizza so ask for extra if you like more than a few tablespoons. However, I noticed they had hamburger pizza and taco pizza which made me give them another try. Ordered the hamburger pizza which was better than expected and a funky change that I would order again, with extra sauce.
Breana M — Google review
Ordered for carryout. Arrived within minutes of the pick up time to find my pizza box on the pick up rack and not fully closed! Was not greeted by anyone at the counter or the restaurant, not even a thank you when I left. Drove back to home (5 minutes away), sat down to dinner and the pizza was lukewarm. We all had to reheat in the microwave, which is not ideal. I had ordered meatballs as a topping and there were crusty-almost burned-dark pieces of meat, scattered on the pizza. The bottom of the crust was not fully baked. I would have called and complained but my family was very hungry, so we just ate it. Very disappointed, to say the least.

Got carryout over the weekend. I ordered online! They have their own rewards program and I get a few offers via email. They open at 11am so first time available for pickup was 11:30am. Not sure if going at 11am would make it any faster, but I was ok with time. Got a large cheese and medium sausage. Both were cooked well. The right amount of sauce! The crust was great and even all around! Plenty of sausage on the medium! Family was happy. Looks like I'll be ordering from this location more often!

Pretty damn good. Got the med Hawaiian pizza, buffalo canzone, sweet tea & mt dew. Thinner crust.(which I personally prefer) As a previous reviewer said the crust has a sweeter dough undertone, which complimented the Hawaiian impo. My fiancée had the buffalo calzone, he liked it a lot. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star was because I hardly ever do. it has to be especially out of this world for me to do so. would definitely recommend stopping in. worth a try.

I’m really going to miss this place! This is my go-to place for pizza and feeding a large group of people who know how to eat. No complaints on their pizza. When I arrived there the pizza wasn’t ready so I waited in my car. The dude at the cash register was generous and brought the 3 pizzas out to my car. The parking can be full up front but there’s parking in the back of the restaurant. During rush hour (making a left) good luck. It’s finding a needle in a haystack if you get lucky doing that. Thanks for being the memories!
M T — Google review
The pizza from this Ledo’s Pizza location is horrible. Not only did they not include all my topics, but they also substituted them for topics I didn’t ask for. And the topics they did include were placed in the middle of the pizza instead of being distributed evenly all over the pizza. Plus, the crust was soft and soggy. This shop doesn’t take pride in making pizza and providing quality pizza to their customers. I’d avoid this location like it was the plague.

Good Peruvian restaurant. Excellent customer service offering well prepared Peruvian classics. The red meat does lack a little bit of flavor but everything else was delicious. Don’t forget to order Lúcuma ice cream for dessert.

Anthony was amazing as a server. He was very attentive & 5 star quality service. The ceviche mix & the pastel choclo with meat was spectacular. We ordered the lomo saltado & a pizco sour. Everything was great, we will definitely come back!

We happened to come to this Peruvian restaurant by chance since we were in the area looking for Halloween stuff. I have to say, this place was a great find. From the moment we entered the restaurant, the vibe, the energy and attention to detail was immaculate. They even had amazing Halloween decorations which my kids were so excited to see! Miguel was our server and he gave us the best recommendations for food! He was very courteous yet friendly! So delicious and tasty! My family had a great time and felt right at home! Safe to say we will certainly be back to try their variety of delicious dishes and hospitality! Thank you La Limena! See you again!

Highly recommend La Limeña! The food is delicious and the portions are perfect. The service is great and we are very excited to come back again with family and friends. If you are looking for Peruvian cuisine highly recommend coming here.

Our go to spot for special occasions! Food is always on point and the atmosphere is always great. The only thing with our visit for today was that we had a longer wait for the food to come out but every other time the food always comes out quick. Darianna was also very attentive, as well as the other servers made sure we had everything we needed! Looking forward to the next time we’re back to try another delicious dish!

Movie theater
Regal Rockville Center is a theater complex that offers multiple screens showcasing the latest films. Its plush seating and concession stand add to the overall experience. The venue stands out for its cleanliness, newness, and pleasing aesthetics, featuring interesting architectural elements. Visitors can park in either an open-air colonial parking lot or an underground parking lot at Cambria Suites. While the theater validates parking, after 2 hours, there is a maximum charge of $12 in the underground lot.
Honestly thought from looking at the Google photo of this theatre that it would be super old inside and have crappy chairs. We had the best time together with the kids here and enjoyed our movie. Only thing was nobody checked our tickets and once you get comfortable amd into the movie people staryed getting up to sneak people in. Pray for this generation! Honesty is not in their dna people started sneaking in..thats a no for me! Overall it was great

7NOV.2024 First time in this morning theater and it is spacious and clean. Nice reclining seats in the upper area of theater. Concession area is clean and nicely decorated. Julien who want d on us was friendly and displayed wonderful customer service. Nice experience her and will probably visit again.

My wife and I were at the Regal Rockville theater to see a movie this afternoon. This was our first visit to this theater though we have been to many other theaters nearby in both MD and VA. The theater seating was excellent, comfortable and spacious. The refreshment stand had very friendly staff and we had a wonderful young man Alex help us out today. We plan to come back many more times in the future.

Regal Rockville Center is a solid spot to catch a movie. The theater is clean and well-kept, and the recliner seats are comfortable enough for a long film.

The BEST theater in the area. Super friendly staff, well maintained, old school theater experience in all the best ways, but with comfy modern seats, great sound and a wonderful theater experience in the clean theaters. Great to have a theater that actually cares about the customer and the experience!
Robert T — Google review
Very accommodating staff. The young man helped us find an appropriate movie with seating for my entire party. We saw Superman. The refreshments were VERY BIG (even the small) and the seating was comfortable (reclining seats). The way the seating is built, it makes it difficult to see behind you and in front of you, offering privacy while you watch the movie. We really enjoyed our time! BONUS: Although there was only available parking in the garage, it was only $4 until midnight and there were plenty of eateries within walking distance.
Ariel C — Google review
When I took the pictures one guy who sells the popcorn ( he is probably the boss there :-) asked me why I'm taking pictures. I politely explained, even though I didn't have it. By the way popcorn and snacks are good! We didn't expect the slushies to be so big.
B. D — Google review
Very nice place, very clean and new. All staff interaction was pleasant. This place is very aesthetically pleasing. There are a lot of interesting architectural features. I would park in the colonial parking lot across from the theater, which is open-air. We parked in the Cambria Suites underground parking lot. Although the theater validates, after 2 hours your charge to maximum rate of $12 in this parking lot.

Gym
Movement Rockville (previously known as Earth Treks Rockville) is a local chain establishment that offers various terrains for climbing and a space for strength and cardio training. The staff is diverse, knowledgeable, friendly, and inclusive. The gym features a range of bouldering problems, lead-climbing specific areas, weight room facilities, and an equipment shop along with snacks. It follows strong COVID protocols and is family-friendly.
this gym is a staple in our community. If you climb, you know, movement Rockville, or maybe earth treks, which was the gym that this was before movement purchased it. personally, I'm happy with movements acquisition because I feel as a Jim member. I now get more out of my membership. I love visiting the other locations and having gyms nearby when I travel because movement is such a big company. I've also noticed improvements in the climbing areas as well as the other areas of the gym even the bathrooms got renovated at this gym. The setting is fun here and it's a good spot for beginners or advanced climbers.

We had an amazing time at Movement Climbing! I came with my two daughters, and we all had such a great experience. What made our day truly special was our instructor, Rafael. He was absolutely the best — kind, encouraging, and super professional. Thanks to him, my kids felt confident and had a lot of fun. We’re definitely coming back!

Awesome place to rock climb! This place has literally everything you need to have a blast. This place also has a gym to workout and to work on your grip. They also sell cloths, climbing shoes, harness and energy drinks. 5 stars for 5 reasons 1. Great customer service is also provided by the staff! Everyone is literally friendly and nice. 2. Climbs that accommodate all age range from easy to difficult! Different section have different heights. Super fun climbs! 3. There is a gym that is under renovation but they literally have dumb bells, bench press and many more machines. There is also grip strength equipment as well. 4. Bouldering is awesome as well and super fun. Every so often they switch it up and it’s fun. 5. Price is relatively decent for what you get. I pay 108 per month and i think it’s worth it if you go often.
T B — Google review
Hey Movement, Time for a little of tough love. I’ve been a member since 2012. The last few month I’ve been bringing to your attention that the lead ropes are in a poor shape. Every single visit I had to ask for a rope in a “better shape”…today my replacement rope (pictured) didn’t meet a basic check either. Your membership isn’t cheap but regardless of the price those ropes are what keep us safe. Today, two other parties also asked for better ropes. Are we waiting for an accident before you guys do what we’re paying for? I hate to be posting this but my repeated feedback seems to be falling on deaf ears. I don’t remember having this issue when the gym was EarthTreks…
Dominik L — Google review
Great experiences climbing here! The staff is great, the vibe is chill, and facility is clean. It is safe and people are courteous. There are a variety of different climbing paths for different skill levels. The bouldering is fun as well. It's not the largest climbing gym in the area, but definitely offers a great space and nice facilities.
Leah H — Google review
I visited Movement while on a work trip to Washington. Came in the evening after work commitments, and asked about auto belays. The guy who worked there was AMAZING: Said, no auto belays but there's a group meeting every Wednesday at 6:30, in 10 minutes, who buddy partner for belayers. So if you wait 10 minutes, I can add you to their group booking and get you half price AND pair you with a belayer. Sure enough, I joined the group, the leader asked everyone's grades and experience and paired me with an outstanding and incredibly nice climber who knocked off 5.11 after 5.11 for 2 1/2 hours. Awesome to be made so welcome on a random turn up to a gym.

--- EDIT June 2, 2022 --- Management has raised prices TWICE in the past few months.. since they changed to Movement. They are now $100 for no new legit services or perks and they have awful guest pass rates of 6 PER PLAN PER YEAR. The air conditioning barely, if ever, seems to work. Very disappointing. Will most likely be canceling or at least freezing. -- OG post -- It’s great all around. Friendly staff, lots of climbing routes for both bouldering and top rope / lead climbing. Not bad for their membership price either.

Our family had a book-a-climb today. Basically a coach will help you put on the harness and guide you to different rock climbing sites. Brian was a very good coach. He accompanied us the whole time, patient, and focused, and made sure we were safe and had fun. Overall a very good experience!

This establishment is frequently visited and has a consistent beer selection with suitable choices. It welcomes dogs and kids, but if you prefer a different environment, try finding a more secluded table. There are two restrooms available, which is very convenient. The seating may not be comfortable, so it's best to spend only about an hour there. This may be intentional to promote circulation. Usually, there is only one person serving, resulting in a queue of around three to four people deep.
We recently held our Cheers for Change event at 7 Locks Brewery, and it was a fantastic experience! The staff were friendly, helpful, and easy to work with, making the planning process a breeze. Our guests had a great time, enjoyed the brewery tour, and loved the beer. One guest even inquired about hosting her own event there because she had such a good time! Rockville is lucky to have a small business with such a quality product that supports the local community. Highly recommend!

Great brewery. Good beer selection and great service. Not busy and quiet. Highly recommend checking 7 Locks out!
Nicolas K — Google review
For some reason this place turns out to be our most frequently visited. Beer selection is consistent: there is always 2 suiting our choices and 1 meeting the expectations. Dogs and kids are welcome, so if this isn't your preferred environment try to find a remote table. Not always possible, but worth a try. 2 restrooms, which is REALLY handy (!!) Seating isn't comfortable, so an hour is the most we have spent there. Maybe that is done intentionally to increase the circulation. Usually, there is a single person serving, creating a queue of 3-4 deep. Enjoy your visit! Hope this helps.

Really nice place to try a variety of beer. Chill ambiance, would be a fun place to hang out! The staff were polite and the bathroom was clean. Cool interior. It's hard to notice the place the first time because it's so tucked away

Excellent place to hang out with the crew. There's a food truck outside that u can get food from. The options on the food are not that extensive on the truck but doable. U r also able to bring in ur own food to hang out and play various card games with u and ur friends or family.

Giuseppi's Pizza Plus is a casual, family-run pizzeria that offers outdoor seating in addition to its counter-service area. Located near a bustling business district, it provides a wide variety of options including subs and pizza. While some patrons appreciate its unique style of pizza, others find it to be nothing out of the ordinary. However, those who prefer authentic New York-style pizza consider Giuseppi's to be the best in the region.
Giuseppe’s Pizza is such a great family-run place! We’ve been coming here for years, sometimes before a movie, sometimes after. Highly recommend their Greek pizza—it’s my absolute favorite! The service is always friendly, and the atmosphere feels like home. Definitely a spot you don’t want to miss!
MariTere — Google review
NY style, but without NY flavor or texture? Flavorless crust, crunchy but without chewiness. I've had better twice-baked pies. Cheese was good, sauce is lightly flavored, sparse, but needs a little more 'something.'. Decent for a quick fix, but nothing I would venture out to get. I had their pizza by the slice and I don't know if the full Pizza is any different. My NY friend said she likes Papas John's crust better, and that's not NY style either. I'm really surprised by the shop quoting Wash Post about their pizza review, but maybe their full pies are better. Online fact check shows they may have had NY style in 1986, possibly 2007 (Different name?)... But trust me, times have changed... Or the Wash Post reviewer got fired. 3/4/4, but food quality and flawed advertising drags it down to a 3. At least put the year of a writeup you're quoting, unless you're intentionally trying to mislead people.
Charles R — Google review
The pizza was worse than frozen. The crust was underbaked and tasted like flour, the sauce was underseasoned, and the cheese needed a mountain of Parmesan and oregano to be edible. We had 4 people sharing 8 slices and we couldn’t finish it. I gave 1 star because the fries were incredible. I won’t be back.

Friday night is Family Pizza Night at our house and we normally order delivery, but since this place is in the Rockville Town Square right next to our Regal movie theater, we decided to walk. So glad we did! Very friendly staff behind the counter who paid me a compliment. I’m amazed how far that simple thing goes in customer service. Being nice to customers is free. I love that they get that here. Anyway, we waited a few minutes for our custom pizza to be made and watched other customers treated with the same kindness. Refreshing to see in this day and age. We walked the pizza back home and it was delicious. Can’t say how authentic it is to New York style pizza (and don’t really care). This is our neighborhood pizza joint and we will be back!
Joie R — Google review
This is a great place to come for a decent slice of NY style pizza before a movie. The food is good, but not great. They advertise as having the "best" Philly Cheesesteak ever, but don't be fooled, again, it's good, but not great. All the food I've tried is a bit on the greasy side. If you like pools of oil on your slice, you'll dig this place. Add some parm and let it soak it up, or do as I do and dab your slice with a napkin.
Tom P — Google review
Literally, the best pizza I could find in the region that feels like authentic NY pizza! Drippy cheese with fresh ingredients and dough that folds as you eat it… They don’t deliver to my area, but I’ll drive a ways for this pizza! And the service has always been great. Worth it!
Kara C — Google review
A couple of friends recommended this place so figured why not. Must say, for a pizza joint this place was clean, friendly, and delicious. The prices were fair. Their pizza was thin and wasn’t doughy. It was just enough grease but it was all proportionate. The crust was crunchy and not thick. The wings, are crunchy and not spicy. This place was very good and full of flavor. I recommend trying this place for a quick bite. 5 stars for a pizza joint. Would be back!

Taco Bell is a beloved fast-food chain that specializes in delicious Mexican-inspired dishes, including tacos, quesadillas, and nachos. Many fans rave about the generous portions and friendly staff at their local Taco Bell locations. While there can be occasional hiccups with order accuracy—like missing items or incorrect orders—the overall experience tends to be positive. Some patrons reminisce about enjoying Taco Bell after years away, finding the flavors still delightful despite some surprises in portion sizes.
I went through the drive thru at 10pm on a week night. They got my order right the first time. The staff were fast and polite. The food is delicious. The parking lot was clean (I ate from my car). The neighborhood looks safe, I would feel completely fine going in if I had more time.

I think this is the best Taco Bell in the area and they tend to make good food with good portions. And the staff is pretty friendly. However I sometimes have issues with order accuracy - for example today I ordered a two piece chicken tenders and got one tender and my order was also missing a burrito. And the chips I got today were crumbs instead of whole chips. That’s not common here though - overall this is usually a good experience.

Delectable. Scrumptious. All ingredients were super fresh. Beef in my tacos was still hot. Nachos and cheese were both great. Ordered with the app and had no issues. No wait time either.

I haven't eaten Taco Bell in over 15 years but I enjoyed the tiny tacos that looked huge in the advertisement. I mean it was tasty I guess, considering I had to chew the little things with my front teeth like a mouse, and had to go to Wendy's for a sandwich because I was still hungry and unwilling to spend more money for a Taco Bell hors di vour...but I digress. It was tasty.

Fast food restaurant
If you're on the hunt for a delightful fast-food experience, look no further than Roy Rogers, a regional chain that pays homage to the legendary American cowboy actor. Known for its mouthwatering burgers and crispy fried chicken, this spot is a must-visit when you find yourself in the DMV area. During my recent trip to Rockville around 4 PM on a weekday, I was greeted with prompt service from an incredibly friendly cashier who made me feel right at home.
The restaurant and the food is exceptionally clean, well prepared and the Manager(dont remem his name) is very professional and clearly knows how to amplify the ff dining experience! Briana and all the employees we have met there are very friendly and attentive to guests. They go out of their way to make dining in this 'fast food' restaurant mirror any chain restaurant on the Pike~ a good model. The cook, Scholastique, remembers what we order even down to minor details, eg: extra sauce etc and we've only eaten there maybe 4 times in 2025.

Still, love this place even back when I worked for them in the late ’80s. Get the burgers, fried chicken, or any other sandwich (Gold Rush). Things have changed, and they are for the better. The food always hit the spot. I can't get used the register set up it feels odd to me.

This is not a favorite restaurant, as you can tell. I came here just to give it a try last year. The food was not very good, the service was basic at best (not particularly friendly, no eye contact, etc), and it was not a welcoming or comfortable atmosphere. Unless you like their food, probably best to avoid.

I love Roy Roger's chicken, biscuits and sides. Unfortunately, their restaurants are few and far between in the DMV so when I had business to conduct in Rockville, I HAD to stop here! I stopped in about 4pm on a weekday (no drive through) and was waited on promptly and the cashier was super nice. Got a 2 piece combo and loaded up my chicken box with fixings from the Fixins Bar. Can't forget the BBQ sauce! So yummy!

La Brasa Latin Cuisine is a delightful gem nestled in Rockville, serving up an array of Pan-Latin dishes that transport your taste buds across the vibrant cultures of Latin America. Since 2006, this cozy eatery has been a beloved spot for locals craving authentic flavors from countries like Mexico, Peru, Cuba, and Argentina. The menu boasts mouthwatering options such as quesadillas and Peruvian rotisserie chicken, alongside standout items like shrimp burritos and grilled salmon.
The food is good, with reasonable price. They did a great job with grilling. Friendly staff. Free parking at the back of the restaurant.

We tried the guacamole, pupusas, carne asada, enchiladas, horchata, and passion fruit drink. We liked the food, it was well seasoned and fresh. The service was good too, the waiters were attentive and friendly. I didn’t enjoy the ambiance as much, the space is very dark, outdated m, and not well-maintained nor welcoming. It was also very hot in there, not sure if they had the A/C on. I would give it another try for take out only.

Let’s just say I will not be returning. I stopped in earlier today for lunch and ordered the 1/4 chicken with two sides. Unfortunately, the chicken was undercooked. This restaurant looks like a hole in the wall, but try their food and you will like it. The spirit of a good restaurant starts with its owner, and the owner of this place loves his restaurant. Just look at the cleanliness of the kitchen which is visible to customers, spotless. It says a lot. Try their shrimp burrito or grilled salmon. Delicious.

Il Pizzico is a renowned Italian restaurant located in Rockville, MD, known for its authentic cuisine and cozy ambiance. Since 1990, this popular establishment has been serving up homemade pastas, seafood dishes, and an extensive selection of wines. The name "Il Pizzico" reflects Chef Enzo Livia's philosophy of using just the right touch of herbs and spices to enhance flavors.
It's the best Italian restaurant I have had in DC/MD area! Everything was absolutely delicious! They do require a casual formal dress code. Highly recommend!

Good...very proud of their Italian authenticity. I would not say it is the most or best, but they are proudly focused and a great place to tuck away for dinner. A little $$$ for the portions. It is likely due to specific ingredients....and clientele. Ps. Olive spread for the bread is a must!!!! I've ordered it to go it's so good.

Granted, the lots are small so I recommend making a reservation and coming in early if you can. Otherwise, if you’re looking to expand your foodie pallet, then please give Il Pizzico a try. My family and I came here to celebrate my dad’s 60th birthday and it was worth it. 😊 🎂 🎉

By far the best fine dining restaurant in MoCo. List of specials changes regularly and the regular menu is varied and on point. Wine list is diverse and very well priced (especially for Montgomery County where the government controls distribution). Dining room is very well run with all staff knowing their job and often their customers. Make a rez! Update 5/9/25 - Fab dinner last night from the food/wine to our server Angela who works hard, has humor (and is Italian of course) … everything really great, which many restaurants can’t do on a weekend night. Enzo/Sandra/Milton… keep up the good work!

Oddly nestled between a Psychic and a Mandarin Express in a strip mall, Il Pizzico makes up for it when you enter inside. They do their best to make it an elegant and welcoming experience, even if it's a big short on the actual dining outcomes. My daughter and I enjoyed our dinner overall. Their crostini rotates in terms of toppings and likely worth a try, ours was a decent one. We both really enjoyed their Arancine rivisitate (traditional Sicilian rice croquettes, filled with meat and mozzarella with Taleggio cheese fonduta), they were the standout. For my entree, I had the much lauded Ravioli di funghi al pistacchio (Ravioli filled with mushrooms and ricotta served with pistachio-cream sauce) and it was good but a bit underwhelming as the sauce lacked any memorable flavor. My daughter had some of their house made pasta with an Alfredo sauce and she enjoyed it quite a bit. Dessert was completely forgettable unfortunately. Our server was friendly and courteous. It would have been nice if the bussers cleared our plates and tidied our table between courses, things just sort of piled up for a while. Overall, a nice entry in the area and worth a try.

So , this is just a wonderful place, and you will be soooo surprised if you are willing to pass the gas station and street mall setting. This restaurant shocked me. I would never expect what I found. The location is not so extravagant, so you are not expecting much, but as soon as you cross the front door, the dream begins. The table clothes are the whites and most crisp, the service is wonderful and the atmosphere is very nice. The restaurant is very quaint. Food is super tasty and very well presented. Every single dish we ordered, I was super happy with. We started strong and finished strong. It's one of those places you just walk on, and you want to keep coming back. I very much recommend it if you are up for nice Italian food.

True Respite Brewing Company, located at 7301 Calhoun Place Suite 600 in Rockville, was known for its award-winning beers and community events. The spacious interior and large draft menu made it a popular spot for beer enthusiasts. Despite the busy atmosphere, visitors found the staff to be friendly and the atmosphere comfortable. The brewery also offered a shaded outdoor area with a pour station.
A good brewery in the area ! Loved the options and choices of beers they offer. Ideal for people who love IPA beers. Personal favorite is garden a must try hoppy and haze. The food options are limited but can bring your food here. Should try if you are a beer lover. Have new beers every couple of weeks

Very comfortable atmosphere. The brews they had available were all pretty good. The stout wasn't as strong as I typically prefer, but it had some good flavors to it. I ended up taking home a growler of it. The location is easy to find, and there's plenty of board and card games available to play. Food trucks will be available in the coming weeks with a rotation of tastes, and I'm looking forward to that. Overall, an enjoyable place that I'll be visiting often.

This place is ok if you live locally, but I wouldn’t travel far for it. Over a quarter of the beers are unavailable for flights. The beers themselves were okay, but I’ve tried other breweries that were better in my eyes. I’m not sure if I just made a bad selection, which is why I’m still giving 4 stars. The atmosphere is decent. I like the decorations on the wall and how you could see the tanks; it adds a nice touch to the dining room.

A nice cross selection of beers to suit all tastes, with some unique brews. The plunge was my favorite of the two flights I had. Kid friendly and busy but not crowded when I visited. Definitely worth a visit when you are in the area.

I went here a few months ago for the first time. It was a beautiful day and packed. The inside space is large and lots of room to sit including bar seating. There was a large draft menu to choose from. The staff was nice but it was busy so they weren’t very chatty. I did not like how the staff did not explain that the live music I heard was in the back and how to access it. They pretty much acted as if it didn’t exist. There was a huge shaded tent out back and even a pour station. There was a decent amount of to go beer too which I like to see in breweries.
Jesse P — Google review
What’s wrong with this place? Nothing!! the staff is great, very friendly, helpful and just all around great people. The beer selection is fantastic too. If you want to just chill and have a brew this is it. Mike drop!
Chris M — Google review
This place looks to be HUGE in the MD craft beer scene. They had 5 beers when I stopped in, so they are still ramping up. Looks like they will be running 12+ taps when they get to full production. The place is still a little rough around the edges but the beer was great as well as the servers. My favorite is the Grisette Vin Blanc today. They also had another Grisette, a New England IPA, a Stout, and a collaboration beer with Saints Row. All very good. Can't wait to taste all the great beer they will be pumping out soon.
M B — Google review
Excellent customer service. We were served our beer in a fashion that took in to account how each beer would compliment the following beer we drank. This brewery understands the importance of providing customers with knowledge not commonly known about craft beer. Every sample of beer in the flight was exceptional. Personally I prefer the “Bobcat” over all others. This is a place worth making a drive to if you’re not close by.

Park
King Farm Park is a verdant area with a play area, pathway, and amenities for various sports like baseball, tennis, soccer, and basketball. Springtime is particularly cherished at this park as it radiates vitality. The atmosphere bustles with people engaging in volleyball matches, children frolicking around the playgrounds, bustling basketball courts, and families enjoying picnics.
Lovely, well maintained neighborhood park with pavilion, tennis courts, basketball courts and two playgrounds. Impressed with the interactive playground and adapted swings
Sandy S — Google review
I love spring especially coming to this park on the weekends. It’s full of life. People playing volleyball, kids at the park, basketball courts full and picnics. I wish the kids playing ball would clean after themselves. There’s empty bottles everywhere. Keep it clean

It is a good park for kids to play and it is visible from houses across the street

It’s a cute little neighborhood park. Enjoyed an impromptu picnic with my ‘slider rider’ burger and fries💯

This is a really nice public park situated at the center of King Farm. There are 2 tennis courts and a basketball court, as well as 2 playgrounds which have recently been remodeled and a covered picnic area. It's great to see that Montgomery County cares so much about recreational facilities! I go to this park when on walks with my dog nearly daily because I live close by. To reiterate, this is a great park that's in walking distance for most King Farm residents and I highly recommend that you get out into the fresh air with your friends, family, children and pets. All are welcome here!

Beautiful Park! Great Atmosphere! People are very nice and inviting not to mention everything is free and there is plenty of room to do whatever outdoor activities you or a bunch of friends and family would love to do! Soccer! Basketball! Tennis! Also they have a beautiful playground for the kids you name it! God Bless! ✌️❤️💫🙏🤲🥛🍯🌻🌼🌸🌹🌺🌷💐
TrainingWithZayan! — Google review
Nice smaller sized park. I like it most for the four great quality basketball courts. There is a small playground for the children and a couple good sized fields to run around in also a walking path around the park as well. Couple nice tennis courts too.
RON S — Google review
We love this park, but don't come here often because they have the shaded playground blocked off for a camp during the morning and early afternoon hours, which is when most kids go to the park in the summer. It's frustrating, because they aren't on the playground most of the time but they have caution tape all the way around it. I don't understand why they get to use it and everyone else has to just go somewhere else. We play a lot in taxes to be able to use the parks here, and I don't feel it's worth it when we don't get to use them. That being said, when we do get to use the playground, my girls like it. The fields look nice, though, as is common in this area, people often let their dogs poop there and don't clean up after them so we usually don't play in them. The other facilities look nice though we haven't used them. The bathroom by the playground is only unlocked for the kids at camp to use it.

Chicken restaurant
Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen is a fast-food chain known for its zesty fried chicken, biscuits, and side dishes. While there may be some challenges with ordering and wait times, the restaurant's popularity speaks for itself. Many people are drawn to try their famous chicken sandwich, which consistently receives high praise. Additionally, Popeyes is commended for serving fresh food.
The food is always fresh! Would recommend although it is busy during lunch workers are always seen working very hard. This place is amazing and the employees and staff are always so nice! Delivery is also great when I order food through the app it is always hot and fresh.!

It wasn't even busy and I placed a mobile order. They were rude, gave my son all of 12 fries with his meal not in a sleeve. Food barely hot bit the lady temper was on fire 🔥. I ensured not to match her and still received horrible service. 😑 I shall NOT go back you should turn around now. My order was just wrong all together smh. My son and nephew are hungry after practice this didn't help at all as it normally would from another location

There were not clean but the sandwich and chicken wings my friend and I ate were the best! I love Popeyes!!! I hate the employee tho

Literally got ignored for 15 minutes while standing at pick up area. 30 minutes for 2 chicken wraps that were ordered in advance is nasty work. Even nastier work is the wrap in the picture where the pickle is thicker than the single chicken tender.

I ordered food for my family and received moldy bread. The lady at the register was nice but said "oh! And we just go this bread in today." You all have to do better than this.
Luke C — Google review
We had a smooth experience of ordering online and picking up at this store. The dining area was small, but the pick-up experience was efficient.
Bo — Google review
Had the worst meal experience today here! Chicken pieces were not temperature hot, skin and bones very little meats. Confirmed with cashier for spicy taste before leaving counter but got mild. Ahhhhh, those minimum wage workers! Will not go to this store.
Ken C — Google review
Extremely rude & racially motivated. they didn’t even look me in the eye as i was ordering and i had to ask for honey and a straw TWICE before she assisted me still without looking me in my eye but when a person that was the same ethnicity as the worker spoke with her she got her full attention??? Definition of racial bias. But all of that was fine until i looked in my bag and my order was wrong. I will never be returning here and im not even sure how they have a 4 star rating. I don’t remember the big backs name but she needs a lesson on customer service.

Restaurant
Z&Z Manoushe Bakery in Rockville is a delightful culinary gem that specializes in the art of manoushe, a traditional Levantine flatbread. The bakery's signature dish features a perfectly balanced crust that is both chewy and crisp, enhanced by a generous drizzle of olive oil and zaatar. This family-run establishment, operated by brothers Danny and Johnny Dubbaneh, offers an array of toppings reminiscent of artisan pizza but with its own unique flair.
Incredible food and a cute story behind the business. I don’t have a car and live in DC so it was a journey to try but worth it and I will be back. I ordered the Lebanese bride and a chai. Both were delicious. Weather was nice so I sat outside but I love how the inside was decorated, they also sell nice spices for cooking at home. Highly recommend.
Philip B — Google review
Z&Z Manoushe had been on my radar for a while, thanks to their vibrant Instagram presence and mouthwatering manoushe photos. But what made our visit extra special was the personal connection—my boyfriend Chris went to elementary school with one of the owners, Johnny. They reconnected years later at the gym, and Johnny, with the same warmth he brings to his restaurant, invited Chris to come check out the place he and his family built. Once I realized I was already a fan from afar, it felt like fate was nudging us toward a visit. And let me tell you, Z&Z didn’t just meet our expectations—it exceeded them. We ordered the Harissa Chicken and the Lebanese Bride, and both were unforgettable. The Lebanese Bride was a fresh, flavorful masterpiece. The za’atar base was aromatic and perfectly toasted, topped with chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, mint, and creamy labneh. It was light, refreshing, and incredibly authentic—like a trip to a family kitchen in Beirut, all wrapped in warm, handmade dough. The Harissa Chicken was bold and smoky, with a little char that added depth to every bite. The harissa delivered a gentle heat that didn’t overpower, and the creamy drizzle balanced it out beautifully. Fresh herbs and a squeeze of lime on top sealed the deal—it was one of the best flatbreads we’ve ever had. On top of the incredible food, the customer service was outstanding. Johnny, his sister, father and everyone who worked there gave great hospitality and pride in his family's food shone through in every interaction. The atmosphere is casual, colorful, and inviting—down to the floral-and-citrus tablecloths that somehow make the meal feel even more vibrant. Z&Z Manoushe isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a family story, a cultural gem, and a delicious love letter to Middle East street food. Whether you have a personal connection or not, you’ll walk away feeling like part of the family. We’ll definitely be back probably countless times. - Thanks for such a great place. 1000/10 Chris and Nathaly

Z&Z Manoushe is an amazing family-owned business that truly makes you feel at home. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. The dad was especially nice and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. I’m already looking forward to going back!

Very quaint cafe with limited seating and menu. Solid vegetarian options. They were able to make the hot honey Manoushe vegetarian. The chai was very good as well. Great place to stop by for a snack. A little pricey but worth it.

Z&Z – Manoushe Bakery: A Culinary Portal to the Heart of Middle East - ( Halal ) I first stumbled upon Z&Z – Manoushe Bakery on Instagram, and as fate would have it, I happened to be in the area not long after. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I knew I’d found a hidden gem. The intoxicating aroma of fresh herbs, warm dough, and za’atar instantly transported me back to Middle East. The walls, adorned with vibrant art and cultural accents, made the space feel like a beautiful intersection of tradition and community. As I took it all in, I was warmly greeted by Danny, who walked me through the menu with the kind of passion you only find from someone who truly believes in what they're serving. He broke down the popular picks, and you could tell everything on the menu had a story behind it. While I was still deciding, I met Michael—the owner’s son—who just happened to have an extra Lebanese Bride flatbread and kindly offered it to me. It was the perfect introduction to the flavors Z&Z is known for: a soft, chewy manoushe layered with creamy labneh, fresh mint, tomatoes, olives, and a sprinkle of za’atar. It was simple yet elegant—a taste that brought the Levant to my fingertips. Inspired by that first bite, I ordered the Hot Halaby Honey—and wow. The balance of spicy Aleppo pepper and warm, golden honey drizzled over a bed of za’atar and melted cheese was nothing short of magic. Sweet, spicy, and savory all in one bite. Each chew was like a love letter to Levantine street food with a bold, modern twist. Z&Z isn’t just a bakery—it’s a vibe. It’s a cultural experience. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel seen, welcomed, and fed—heart and soul. Whether you’re Arab or just Arab-adjacent, Z&Z makes you feel at home. By way this place is Halal... This won’t be my last visit—and next time, I’m bringing friends.
AJ C — Google review
Z&Z is a favorite local spot I have been enjoying for the last couple of years. They hit my big three in a restaurant; great food, welcoming community, and cultural celebration. The manoushe is excellent. The fresh ingredients highlight the flavor profiles of each of the diverse manoushe on the menu. Every menu option celebrates the long history and local ingredients of this middle-eastern street food. Additionally, the counter displays a selection of seasonally rotating delicacies that will further cause the taste buds to rejoice! Embracing the community is part of the package of this family run restaurant. Don't be surprised when the team remembers your name or your favorite order as a demonstration of loving acceptance into the family and broader community. Our area is one of the most diverse in the country. This diversity fosters a celebration of traditions, customs, and foods of our neighbors. Z&Z is quick to share their Palestinian and Jordanian heritage through delicious food and demonstrated hospitality. Z&Z have earned the high star rating, and I encourage others to check them out and enjoy the entire culinary experience.

Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever tried! The flavors were amazing. The workers were very friendly. My BF got the seasonal pie (spinach, onion & feta pie)——SO flavorful and gives a lemon zest taste as well. I got the hot halaby honey—delicious!!!! I also got a lemonade that tasted wonderful. Definitely stop by and bring your friends. Support this beautiful family business and the Palestinian community while you’re at it!

The ZavaZone Rockville amusement center is an enjoyable facility for entertaining children. However, it would be preferable if the opening hours were extended, especially during summer vacation. The staff members appear to be young, possibly high school or university students, and often engage in personal conversations rather than attending to customers. Even when they do assist customers, their level of care seems minimal and they only fulfill the basic requirements.
Great place to celebrate kids' birthday or just go to have fun with kids. There are several areas for parents, a comfortable sofas and massage chairs. Love the little store for quick snacks and good hot coffee. Staff was very productive, professional, helpful, and welcoming, as it was the first time here.

Was looking for a fun indoor place to take my youngest (9 years old) to burn off some energy. Did a search and Zavazone popped up. I purchased the tickets online for the time slot that we wanted to go. You can buy tickets for 1-3 hour admissions. It was a Saturday and we got there around 1:30pm and there were a lot of kids there and a few parties going on. My daughters don't like places that are too crowded but inside there were lots of different sections and we found an area that we could jump around. Inside there were a number of areas that included dodge ball, trampolines, ninja courses, basketball and others. My daughter and I particularly enjoyed the battle beam area where you stand on the beam and try to knock the other off. She was not into the ninja courses so we did not try that. There is lots to do here. If you have been to an Urban Air location, it's a scaled down version of that. We did find that the place started to clear out around 2:30-3pm. The only downside is parking is limited. Overall we had a great time and would definitely recommend.

Awesome venue, with lots of exciting things to do. Staff are really friendly and the place is spot. Great for birthday parties. The new Interactive walls are awesome, such fun to play on. If you like climbing, jumping and Sport in general, this is the best place to go in Rockville
Rob M — Google review
To help celebrate our daughter's seventh birthday, we booked three tickets for two hours at ZavaZone to use the ropes course. It cost well over $100, but we had a blast. However, our daughter was not tall enough to do the ropes course (kids have to be at least 52 inches tall), so that was a bummer. Their website doesn't clearly note that so if you book tickets purely for the ropes course like we did, be warned. Despite the ropes course hiccup, we had a blast. There are lots of trampolines for jumping, basketball, dodgeball, and more. There's a ninja course, a parkour course, rock climbing, and other equipment. There are lockers for rent or free cubby holes for shoes. Hand sanitizer stations are throughout and a "Parents Zone" on the upper floor. There's a small store with snacks and a strategically placed ice cream freezer at the end of the Ninja course. The parking lot outside if large and free.

Nice time, dont have to do it again. Came for the high rope course personally. It was fun but takes less than 40 mins for adults. They have trampolines, rock climbing, parent zone for some quiet. The parking will be gone on a busy day.

First time visitor and fell in love! My kids loved it and were wore out after. Things for all ages to include adults who aren't participating in any activities. Definitely recommend intrusive parenting to ensure safety of the little children. Also, at no fault to the facility staff, there were a few rude or inattentive parents. But thankfully encountered way more friendly people then not. Overall, great atmosphere and family friendly. Would recommend for a last minute weekend plan or rainy day activity.

If you’re looking for a lightly used spot where you’re probably alone or nearly so for part of your visit then this might not be it, at least not right after school lets out on a beautiful early spring day. Tons of kids and supervising adults today (March 2025), which is why I don’t include as many photos as I would like today because it’s hard to get a shot without unconsenting people in them. But you do get paved paths through the woods—not bad even when the trees are bare and probably gorgeous when the leaves grow in. There’s a bridge across a shallow creek, a few picnic tables, playground etc.

The F Scott Fitzgerald Theatre hosts the annual Rockville Lantern Festival Celebration Event, a cultural extravaganza filled with traditional performances and activities. Attendees are treated to a diverse range of entertainment and have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a culture-rich environment. This event fosters an appreciation for great traditions and allows participants to establish a deep connection with various artistic expressions. Additionally, the theatre showcases exceptional productions like Gilbert & Sullivan's 'H.M.S.'
Quaint, comfy, uncomplicated, and nestled in a cozy neighborhood that's two quick stoplights away from several dozen delicious food venues. The full size theatre stage hosts so many interesting events without having to wade through the swamp of special interest advertising that bombard you during every step taken to and from your theater seat. Flanked by simple pantry space and modern restrooms, it's a surprise how the parking lot is so small. But speaking of the parking lot, there could be more signage and better handicap access from the back. Other than this slightest critique, this is probably the most effortless way to soak in art & culture.

Indoor playground
Children's amusement center
Badlands is a fantastic venue suitable for children of all ages as well as their caregivers. The facility boasts exceptional cleanliness, an amazing staff, and an array of activities to keep everyone entertained. These include a climbing mountain, slides, building camps and forts, building stations, a cinema room, and science exhibits. While it may seem more geared towards older kids, even toddlers can have a blast here. In addition to the fun-filled play areas, Badlands also offers party rooms for special occasions.
We were recently here for a birthday party and our son had so much fun! The divided areas for each sit down table are gave off a cute modern camping vibe. As I parent I was thrilled to be at an indoor climbing kids party where I didn’t have to take off my shoes. Staff was friendly and prepared with lots of clipboards and waivers so that the front sign in desk didn’t get crowded or backed up, that really made a difference. We’d love to be back!

I took my two-year-old son here on a Tuesday morning during spring break. Surprisingly, even though there were quite a few kids around, the place never felt crowded or overwhelming. The staff we're all incredibly polite and my son had a blast. We purchased discount admission through certificate and well be purchasing more vouchers to return for future trips. I especially love that the entire area has something for kids of all ages. We enjoyed the toddler storytime and sensory bins in the back room, and he loved running through the trees and exploring the slides and tunnel.

Great spot for kids of all ages and the adults that care for them. Facility is incredibly clean, staff is wonderful and there is so much do! Climbing mountain, slides, building camps and forts, building stations, cinema room and science exhibits. It sounds like it's geared more towards older kids but I took my 2.5 yo and everyone had a great time! Also have party rooms. They have a great little cafe that serves decent food for a decent price. Also serves beer, wine and coffee drinks. Entrance fee is inexpensive and parents are free! Highly recommend to anyone with kids looking for a place to play indoors!
Elizabeth S — Google review
Update after a few more visits: if you buy a membership then kids are $10 and adults are free. I did this for the month of December & we have come multiple times this month. My original review below is still pretty valid for a non-membership weekend visit My 4 year old loved it, but I thought it was over priced, $25 for two hours. If we lived near by and it was raining we might go back, but a lot of local parks have more amenities. The cafe is a nice idea, pretty good food, but very unorganized.
Joshua — Google review
Expensive but worthy. The kids will have so much fun on this indoor playground. Mountain, LEGO room, music, fake trees and beautiful rooms for private parties. They even have a coffee shop where the parents can hang out while their kids play nearby. Clean , staff is friendly. Weekdays are the best.
Sheila M — Google review
Nice big squishy place for the kids to run on AstroTurf. Fake rock mountain to climb and slide down. 4 private party rooms. You can do building and experiment activities in the workshop & there are even classes for a fee. Tall fake trees to run in between that separate the learning "amphitheater" area. The space feels like stepping into the Teletubbies show without the flowers & bunnies hopping, although there is a small area with a few small caged animals. The have a cafe that offers a variety of adult salads, sandwiches & pizza for the kids. Wonderfully they also have a wine & beer license so you can relax while you run around with your preschooler. There is about 20 staff members keeping busy. Preferably they should all wear the same bright colored tshirts so it doesn't appear random strangers chasing your child. Overall a great place to come when the weather is cold or raining. There's enough space to add some more climbing so the kids don't get bored too fast as really this is for a 5 and under crowd. The place is a little overpriced but with all the staff, maintenance and insurance, I'm sure the money takes care of the place. You'll have to sign a waiver on the way in. Expect to spend about $50 for 1 adult and child for entry and buying lunch. There needs to be hand sanitizer in the workshop and the cafe, or some kind of hand washing right there with the food and drinks.
Sylvia T — Google review
My 5- and 3- year olds have a great time here and go home tired. Aside from the climbing areas, they offer activities throughout the day. There have food, coffee, wine, & beer for purchase. They've also added seating areas. We visit during the week when it's not too busy. It's can get expensive, but a good option when it's too hot, cold, rainy outside. My feedback is that it was a bit warm inside and they could maybe offer less expensive entrance fee options once a week.
Monica A — Google review
This place rocks. Very clean, fun for a wide range of ages, lots of different rooms and activities to keep them engaged and a nice food and beverage option for a long day. The toddler time during the week is awesome with a really fun staff and things for smaller ones. It's on the higher end price wise for play places we visit but I think worth it for the sort of upkeep and staff they have. Thanks, Badlands!

Ethiopian restaurant
Sheba Ethiopian Restaurant is a cozy, family-owned establishment that serves generous portions of Ethiopian cuisine in a relaxed setting. Located in Maryland and Washington DC area, it is highly regarded as the top Ethiopian restaurant in the region. Whether you're a fan of trying new foods or simply seeking delicious fare, Sheba offers a diverse menu featuring dishes such as yellow split peas, cabbage and carrots, chickpea stew, and brown lentils.
Without a doubt, this is the best Ethiopian food in town! I loved every dish I tried, each combination was incredible. The service was top-notch, and the value for such delicious meals is unbeatable—honestly, they could be charging a premium. I highly recommend this spot for an authentic, mouthwatering Ethiopian dining experience. I promise, you’ll fall in love with it!
Adefris T — Google review
Sheba is one of our best “food discoveries” since moving to the area - freshly-prepared and delicious food, attentive service, and a variety of options both meat-based and suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Many drink options including refreshing lemonade and teas. Highly recommended!
Christopher B — Google review
My first Ethiopian food experience was at this restaurant and it was a great one! I loved the food, the Injera bread was perfect (AND it’s gluten free). The taste of the food was flavorful and the flavors were on point. I got a mixture of chickpeas, lentils, chicken and lamb (sorry I don’t know their exact names). For non-spicy eaters like myself, you’ll find a large variety of foods to choose from. My friends got the honey wine and they said it tastes good. The service was amazing. It’s a family business and I love that. Definitely coming back here again!

The food here is AMAZING!!! Came here to try Ethiopian food for the first time with my boyfriend, and we both were amazed! Light and flavorful dishes, seasoned to perfection! Food presentation was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant! We both had a wonderful date night, WILL BE RETURNING!!!

Sheba is the best! Food, hospitality and ambience was wonderful. Highly recommend the family platter, the tiramisu, the injera crisps and of course an Ethiopian coffee to finish off after an amazing meal!

OMG! This place is AMAZING! ♡ When you walk in, it's all fancy with pretty decorations, marble tables, and nice table set up, and the cheerful waitress at the front is super friendly. The kitchen smells are incredible! The tea is perfect. We got the Doro Tibs - it was so good with the injera. The seasoning and spixes wre perfectly made! We loved it , can't wait to try every other dish! Next time, we're getting an extra order of injera (sourdough bread) Seriously, the food, the waitress , the decor, everything is impressive! Even the pumpkin with the snake!- I wish everyone could try this Ethiopian food. You HAVE to go! ~ from your favorite customer, so far!

Chinese restaurant
Bob's Shanghai 66 is a no-frills restaurant located in a strip mall, offering a variety of regional Chinese dishes including noodle soups, dim sum, and dumplings. Despite the diverse menu featuring Cantonese, Szechuan, and Taiwanese cuisine, one of the standout items is the simple yet delicious plate of snow-pea leaves.
Hands down the best chicken soup dumplings I have ever eaten. The eggplant stir fry with garlic sauce was a stand out too. The veg dumplings were mid. Had a 20 min wait on a weekday afternoon. Service was good and food was out quick. I understand why all the hype. Totally worth it.
Arthi K — Google review
This place has officially ruined all other Chinese restaurants for me!! The food is some of the best Chinese food I've had and the service is very quick once you get seated... There was a 10 minute wait when we arrived on a Sunday, but it wasn't too bad considering how goo the meal is... We've tried the spicy pork dumplings, the original soup dumplings, the scallion pancakes and my picky son had the Shanghai noodles with shrimp. Everything was delicious and came out hot and quick.
Fatin A — Google review
Great experience. Smallish restaurant so some wait if crowded. Love the name Bob as a Chinese restaurant. Lots of vegetarian options. No carts for dim sum but you mark a menu with what you want. Went on a Saturday and prompt service and short wait to get table. Lots of selection, good energy and menu had salt and pepper version of tofu which is awesome - my favorite style from when I wasn't plant-based. Ok value.
John K — Google review
crispy beef:it was very crispy flavorful and sweet although I thought it was a spicy dish. B leak pork dumplings cooked well not enough flavor B- spicy change du chicken- my friend had this i took a couple of bites. this dish is so spicy. the chicken was tender. my friend says B- spicy chicken wontons remember they were ok nothing spectacular give B-. too spicy for me. nice texture overall I would go back to try other dishes. its a big menu so plenty to try and explore.
Maria M — Google review
Place is a little overrated in my opinion. The XLB were decent…the spicy ones tasted better than the original ones. The skin is a little thicker than what I would prefer. We also order pan fried steam buns and the meat to bun ratio wasn’t very good. I could hardly taste the filling because the bun was so thick. Lastly, we were also disappointed about the wonton noodle soup. The chicken wontons were flavorful but the noodles were unexpected. Wontons are traditionally served with wonton noodles (thin egg noodles) but they served theirs with regular flour noodles, making them bland.
S. F — Google review
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and the incredible aroma of authentic Chinese cooking. The menu offers both classics and regional specialties and every dish we ordered was a standout! Mapo tofu is as perfectly balanced __ spicy savory and comforting. The pork wonton soup was amazing! Unreal!! This place is a gem! Thank you chef
Josè C — Google review
Good taste and portion is reasonable, especially Spicy Pork Wonton, it was delicious. I only tried Dim Sum, mainly the food was well-balance and savory, even though there are not many choices Dim Sim Menu but I can say they all are quality selection. The service was fast and smoothly. When you look from outside, the restaurant look like small and hide in the corner of the building, but after you get inside, it is plenty of space dining room and nice ambient. No worry about parking is spacious and free. p.s. One thing I have learned is Shanghai's dim sum style is a little different from Cantonese's dim sum style that you can see more often in Chinese restaurant. Cantonese dim sum tends to be lighter and more delicate, while Shanghai dim sum has bolder, more robust flavors.
Ketsanee P — Google review
This place is always busy, we ate here a few times in past few years. The food are pretty consistent, their soup dumplings are pretty good, or one of the best for Maryland standards, versus NYC or Toronto. We ordered the pork XLB and crab pork XLB, beef and Tendon noodle soup and Taiwanese pork chop over rice. Beef and soup was avg but the noodle was chewy and pretty good. The pork chop over rice was slightly on the dryer side. Over all with tips was $68 outta the door for two ppl.

Vietnamese restaurant
Nestled in a cozy strip mall, Pho Nom Nom is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine in Maryland. This delightful eatery, located at 18509 N Frederick Ave in Gaithersburg and with another spot on Rockville Pike, offers an inviting atmosphere filled with natural light. Chef Than Nguyen takes great pride in serving up the finest pho and banh mi around, ensuring that each dish is prepared quickly without compromising quality or flavor.
Enjoyed special lunch time here 😋 by myself after rough morning with kids from school! Loved to spend my relaxing time here and enjoyed good foods! For some reason, I kept going this place when I feel tired and hungry! ❤️!
Christine L — Google review
I recently dined at Pho Nom Nom, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! We ordered the pho combination and fried spring rolls, and the overall meal did not disappoint. The pho broth was outstanding—rich, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Each bowl was filled with a generous portion of tender noodles, fresh herbs, and a well-selected mix of meats. It was comforting and satisfying, making it clear that a lot of care went into crafting this dish. As for the fried spring rolls, they were tasty but a bit tougher than I expected. While they had a good flavor and a satisfying crunch on the outside, the texture could use a little improvement. However, this minor quibble did not overshadow the overall enjoyment of our meal. Overall, Pho Nom Nom has earned a special place in my heart, and I have no doubt that it will become my go-to Vietnamese restaurant from now on. If you're in the mood for delicious pho and authentic Vietnamese flavors, I highly recommend giving Pho Nom Nom a try!
Jessica M — Google review
Had the pho and the banh mi, both were really good. The portions were generous, but what surprised me more was just how good everything tasted. Honestly, where I live in Maryland, there just aren’t any pho spots that hit this level in both flavor and value. The pho broth was light yet rich — not too salty, which I appreciated, since I could adjust the flavor with sauces just the way I like. The banh mi bread was super crisp; I do wish there were a few more veggies, but it was still totally satisfying. Also, the guy who served me was really friendly — it made the whole experience even better. I’d definitely come back with a friend.
P — Google review
The bun bo hue was pretty standard. Pro: they used actual bbh noodles. Con: the noodles were "broken" and I really didn't have to chew at all cause they were really short. Also it was quite loud in the restaurant they had an ice machine (or maybe someone hacking ice) every 5 minutes. I recommend ordering take out.
Lisa M — Google review
First time here and will definitely be back! I had Shrimp Spring Rolls and Pho (don’t remember which number) and they were delicious. Will definitely trying the Banh Mi next time.
Kristina — Google review
This little Vietnamese pho shop has tasty food, but unfortunately, the dining environment was very uncomfortable during our visit. We came in June on a nearly 90-degree day, and it felt like there was no air conditioning inside the restaurant. By the time we finished eating, we were literally sweating — not ideal for enjoying a hot bowl of pho. That said, the pho itself was quite good. The broth was flavorful, the noodles had a nice chewy texture, and the side garnishes — fresh Thai basil and bean sprouts — were crisp and clean. Portion sizes were on the small side, but you can ask for more garnishes if needed. Overall, the food was enjoyable, but I’d suggest coming during cooler weather for a more pleasant experience.
Sweet K — Google review
Hands down, best pho in the DC metro area! The broth is rich and flavorful and the service is quick. Ive been coming to this place for almost 10 years. Its just that good. Typically there's seating available, however, the place isn't that big and people tend to flock in during rush hour (lunch, dinner).
AshaKosha — Google review
I will describe this restaurant as a semi-hole in the wall place. With mediocre service, not the warm and fuzzy type but efficient, maybe a little too efficient LOL. There is nothing stands out regards to the interior decoration of the restaurant. Very intimate in space and the building is old. BUT…. They have some of the best Vietnamese sandwich here and pho soup base. And for the price they charge, these dishes came in great value. Parking is tight. Limited with many businesses in the same shopping center share them. Highly recommend to check this spot out if you are looking for authentic Vietnamese pho.

Restaurant
Villa Maya Restaurant is a casual Mexican eatery that offers a lively and inviting ambiance. It boasts an outdoor seating area and a well-stocked bar serving delicious margaritas. Guests can enjoy the unique experience of having guacamole prepared right at their table. The restaurant also features a tortilla making station at the entrance, adding to the festive atmosphere. The service is friendly and efficient, catering to both small and large groups.
Went to Villa Maya for brunch and it was amazing. The service was fantastic and the food even better! Topped it off with some passion fruit margaritas which were also very refreshing. I will definitely be back soon!
Rachel D — Google review
Foood was delicious! Salsa tasted homemade. Frozen Mango margarita was good balance of tequila and ice. Some places go overboard with one or both. Service was ok. But ultimately I didn’t say anything so it wasn’t that upsetting. They forgot my order of pork enchiladas, came back to confirm but placed the wrong one (seafood). Was delicious but not correct. Seemed like they got every table in their section wrong or forgotten. Only one server and one section opened. Max 4 tables at once, 1, 2 or 4 people tables. Upside is Alcohol eases the service issues. In my and other table’s experience, if not paying attention & asking multiple times, mistakes can easily happen. Timing and lots of back and forth it’s worth all the work though
Kathy N — Google review
Very mid-tier Mexican food - the chips were too oily and the sopapillas were soft and old with no cinnamon and the ice cream half-melted by the time it arrived. My friend ordered a burrito bowl and got a burrito by accident. The mahi mahi tacos were okay though nothing special. The restaurant was absolutely packed and the service was having a hard time keeping up with everything. The best parts were the portion sizes (too big for me but good value for the money) and the tortilla making machine which was fun to watch.

We had a wonderful experience this weekend at Villa Maya. We had a large lunch group. I loved the atmosphere. The decor and design of the place put me in the mood for great Mexican food. The service was excellent. The food was very tasty. Our group ordered Mahi-Mahi Tacos, Huevos Rancheros, Pork Rib Fajitas, Chimicagas and Chille Rellenos. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. I had the Chille Rellenos and I was pretty jealous looking at the plates of others in our group. I can't wait to go back and try other dishes. There was also a very cool machine (a tortilla maker?) See attached video.

Had a family get together here and everything about the experience was great. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was awesome, and the staff were the best. The keep the fresh chips and salsa coming while your waiting for your food. The margaritas are really good. Can't wait to go back!

We went to Villa Maya on a Friday night. The bar area is extremely cramped. The bar selection is limited, pretty much marg/tequila/beer. The food was good and there were lots of healthier options. Unfortunately they combined our bill with the table next to us for some reason. Took a while to get it sorted out.

This is a nice place for Mexican food in the area. The restaurant atmosphere is very festive and welcoming. There is plenty of seating and is good for large groups as well. The have a tortilla making station right at the entrance 😊 The service was prompt and friendly as well. They have a decent selection of food items to pick from. We have been here a few times and have liked all the dishes were have ordered. Their kids menu is decent as well. Our favorites are the fajitas, chimichanga, and seafood dishes my kids likes the chicken fingers. Desserts are good here are well. We like the Tres Leches cake, Sopaipillas, Flan. A great option for Mexican food in the area.
