Casino is nice. They seem to be expanding and doing some work so I’ll be interested in seeing how that goes. I love greyhounds and highly recommend adopting one from there if you get a chance. They are terrific low maintenance pets and great companions. Slot machines were good and we were able to play a long time and the drinks were very reasonably priced. It’s in a bit of an odd location but a lot of fun

I am here in one of there rooms right now. I would suggest spending the night in the local area and take an Uber to bring you to the casino. We paid way too much money for this room. It is just a standard room. It was supposed to be a riverview, which you can barely see the river. There is one big bath towel, the rest are a child's sized. They give us one little bottle of shampoo, body wash, and conditioner for a couple. No place to hang a towel or washcloth. The room has a gross smell to it. The ice machine was broke. A coffee bar was on the 3rd floor, which we are on the fifth. We went to get coffee, no creamer, and barely any coffee left. This is the only thing you will receive free. Not worth the almost 400.00 I spent for a room. Never again!

We went to Wheeling Island on our first girls trip reunion with childhood friends. Two of us are experienced with casinos and 2 were not. I think now we have 4 Wheeling Island fans. The buffet was absolutely amazing. The slots were plenty and had most of my favorites and the dog races reminded me of trips there with my dad so many years ago. We had so much fun that we are making it an annual trip.

Always a blast and there are a wide variety of games and machines. Staff are very helpful. The atmosphere is very beautiful and comfortable. I think my favorite part about it honestly is the beautiful waterfall and the escalator is pretty badass too. Definitely be prepared to spend money tho… as for parking there is tons of parking. Also features an expensive buffet and hotel which I’ve never attended yet. Environment is very clean and for the most part people leave u alone and let u do ur thang. Valet parking is available

This has to be one of the absolute worst casinos that I been to. The layout is very strange. The selection and variety of games here is terrible. Anyone who believes Wheeling Island Casino has a good variety must have never been to any other casino. The payouts are disgustingly bad. $20 bet with a $1 denomination and only winning less than $100 feels like theft. Anyone who knows anything about slots knows that is practically unheard of. $1400 lost with not even being able to come close to even getting half of my money back. All of the jackpots are very, very low. Maybe this place is just for small spenders and low betters. I will say, the Friday buffet was very good. I have certainly walked out of casinos down money before, but never an experience like this without being able to win a single reasonable bonus. Thankfully I live over an hour away from this location so there will most likely never be a reasonable reason for me to return. Staff, however, were accommodating when I was setting up my first time player at this location. I always wait at least 24 hours to leave a bad review to see if my mood and outlook has changed, but it hasn’t.

Im not even sure how this place affords to leave the lights on, wait there not on. Its the darkest casino I have visited. Lots of the machines are off dont waste your time driving here its a ghost town, nothing worth seeing here, they havent even tried to make this place worth your time. Very disappointed. Get with the program offer people the crab legs again, some good music or at least turn the games on. When you offer people willing to come nothing there going to find somewhere else to spend there money.

Kiosk only when ordering food. It was a very bad program. Food was precooked and cold. Rooms lack basics like coffee,fridge and microwave. You have to fight for coffee in the morning on one floor. Service was very 🥶 cold. Was better before the remodeling.

WesBanco Arena offers a solid event experience with a few notable pros and cons. On the positive side, the seating layout ensures excellent views of the action from nearly every seat in the stadium, making it easy to enjoy the event. However, there are a few areas for improvement. The lack of cup holders in the seating area can be inconvenient, especially for those juggling drinks and snacks. Additionally, the seats themselves offer limited legroom, which might make longer events less comfortable for taller attendees. The most significant downside, though, is the post-event parking situation. Exiting the parking garage was chaotic, with no personnel directing traffic. This led to long delays and frustration for many attendees. A more organized approach to managing traffic flow would make a significant difference. Overall, while the arena has its strengths, addressing these logistical and comfort issues would enhance the overall experience.

Fun atmosphere older building with renovations outside. Super garage next door. Good selection of local favorite foods plus chain food chik-fil-a. Pepsi products. Some seating seems odd for hockey at least. Great crowd. For sensory sensitive very very loud acoustics.

Went to see Disney on Ice. The seats were great and the kids got invited to be part of the show. The kids loved it. I would highly recommend this smaller venue for these types of events. We'll be coming back!

What fun, small arena but nice as you can see everything going on. The bathrooms were always clean and food in drinks in close proximity. Saw the Miners play, box office staff were super friendly and helpful in choosing my seats.

Sat pretty close to the stage, on folding chairs. It was extremely tight, especially when all the seats were filled. I could easily imagine situation turning dangerous because of how the seats were connected and everyone was so packed in. Also, the sound of the arena wasn't great for a concert. I gave 2 stars because the refreshments were cheap and the employees friendly.

Very nice arena, went for a nailers hockey game. Family friendly and lots of fun. Great good options. Clean and lots of history on display. They really get the crowd involved and make it a fun experience.

I've been to multiple wheeling nailers games and I have never had a bad experience.you do have to buy tickets outside and then go in, they do have a wheelchair accessible entrance but there are multiple flights of stairs once you get in and I believe that there are no ramps. The arena itself is very clean and organized and I have never got lost. They also have multiple score boards so you can see the score easily. Also the very back row seats are cheaper and I actually prefer them because you can get a good view and they do have bars where you can drink and watch the game. There is also plenty of parking outside and if you ever get a chance I highly recommend a hockey game for a family or personal experience. I guarantee you will have fun!

My initial impression of the restaurant wasn’t great, but it grew on me a little. When I entered, it took a while to get seated, and the interior felt somewhat small. However, the unique decor was definitely a positive aspect. I ordered a lemon drop cocktail, but it had very little alcohol and tasted more like water—so I didn’t order a second one. For my entrée, I chose the Wallie because of the many options available. I was thoroughly impressed and ended up finishing the entire dish. It was a fantastic recommendation from my waitress.

This is my favorite restaurant in Wheeling. Everything on the menu is great, especially the crepes. The Smores Latte is phenomenal.

We all had a different crepe but sadly I didn’t get other pictures. I had the Blueberry Hill, and it was phenomenal. My friend really enjoyed the Lox crepe. We also enjoyed the focaccia and potato salad. The atmosphere is so adorable and unique. Even my 1 year old enjoyed this restaurant!

The menu had a variety but was not overwhelming. The server was fanatic. The food was delicious. The experience was spectacular!!

Was part of a wedding party and we had our check covered by some unknown party. That was a very welcome surprise. The crepes were absolutely fantastic. If I return to Wheeling any time soon, I will definitely be patronizing this restaurant again.

This was a great find on the first night of our weekend in Wheeling - it might be one of the best dinners I've had. There was a bit of a wait to get in, but down the street was a little Friday evening festival so we spent the time listening to the music and window shopping. My husband and I split 2 savory crepes (the Crepe Escape, and the Crepe Shoot) and one sweet crepe (Blueberry Hill). I would be hard pressed to pick between the two crepes, the flavors on both were amazing. For the sweet Crepe we substituted honey instead of maple syrup because I am not a maple fan - it was absolutely amazing. The whipped cream was not too sweet and was a great compliment to the brie and blueberries. Delicious. We will definitely be back!

Visited the Candy Store. I have been to many candy stores in other states.. this one stands out because it serves ice cream as well... Nice bonus!

What a charming little hidden gem. Had a fabulous day here. We went for lunch, then stayed for hours looking at all the treasures in the nearby shops. Highly recommend.

This market has a lot of history in the city. You’ll find a combination of small businesses between food and crafts as well as homemade goods for sale. It has a unique blend of an open-air market, though it’s all under roof and behind glass except for businesses with window panes that open to outside. It is non-smoking, and there are several seating areas as well as restrooms.

We love this place. It’s wonderful to mix well thought out grocery items with locally grown produce. The added art and curated goods are lovely too. It’s truly a wonderful place that communicates well with their patrons and has a genuine interest in providing groceries and items their customers want. The market skews toward more healthy, organic, and locally produced items which is a huge positive and should be applauded. But with that comes less wholesale and large box purchase options that bring prices down, so it’s a more expensive way to shop for groceries and something our family can’t afford to do very often despite wanting to support this fabulous place. We hope to continue to try and visit the Wheeling Centre Market for local produce, gift items, and more as we can! More people should visit and purchase great items from the Wheeling Centre Market and that may help ensure affordable prices alongside great products for all and support a place that is thoughtful and intentional with the curation of their products.

Went on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Most of the street shops were closed which was disappointing. Centre Market itself was also pretty disappointing. First off it was filthy, the dining tables appeared to be left dirty from 1979, the floor was so nasty my Service Dog wouldn't lay under the table and I didn't make her!! We had lunch at Colemans Fish Market. Another loser!! It too was filthy, the floor had not been cleaned in weeks!! They had not been open long so no excuse for that. Coleman food was worse than the appearance of the establishment. 18.75$$ for 2 greasy fish sandwiches on smashed, stale, wonder bread.. Really Colemans?? We ended up trashing that nasty lunch!! I will not be back!!

We were so very proud to offer Vocelli Pizza from Wheeling WV to our guests this evening at Benwood Pool. Everyone loved it. It was a successful and fun-filled event. They delivered 13 large pizzas, breadsticks and Cannolis which made it easier for us. Can’t thank them enough for the friendly service and truly delicious home style pizza. My family & I have called in orders for pick up and delivery. The staff has always answered the phone promptly and they are always friendly. Mrs. Marcy is our favorite!!! She is absolutely so kind and patient when filling our large orders!!!! The restaurant is always clean which we appreciate and the staff seem to stay busy working which is nice. Orders are completed in a timely manner! We appreciate the delivery service as well. The delivery drivers get the pizzas to us nice & hot. Pizza is always a 10/10 and the chicken pesto pasta is surprisingly very good! I’ve never had a disappointing meal here and also had a wonderful catering experience for my baby shower as well.

We ordered an order of alfredo and a large cheese pizza. I'm a member of the rewards program and have ordered pizza here for a long time, and part of why we like it here is that the staff is generally nice and the pizza is so yummy and very cheesy. We noticed the pizza we received was definitely smaller than usual, and very bare. You could see more tomato sauce and bubbles than you could see cheese. We measured it with a ruler and it was 12" in some spots, 13" in other spots. Large pizzas are supposed to be 14". It was given to us in an xl box, but the tape measure showed it didn't even measure up to a large. Maybe if it was otherwise stellar and cheesy like normal vocellis, we would have shrugged and been ok with it, but it was so dry and scarce with cheese, that we tried calling the restaurant. We spoke to a lady and told her what happened and then asked to speak to the manager, and then they hung up the phone. We called back multiple times immediately and they would not pick up. We drove all the way down there, and the manager told us that we are "seeing it wrong because it's in an xl box." We told him we measured it, but he didn't care and ignored us. We also told him that this is much less cheese than normal. Again - this pizza was only like 50% covered by cheese. He said "that's the normal cheese that we always put on" and then when we asked "well can we have some more, because this is never what our pizzas from here look like," he grabbed a handful of cheese with his hand, threw it on our now-cold pizza, closed the box, and said "look now you have EXTRA CHEESE" and scoffed at us. Super unprofessional and honestly really disappointing, because we have always had good experiences here, but now we'll just go somewhere else and have others do the same because the staff couldn't even be remotely respectful. We are not stuck up Karens by any means, some of us literally used to work in pizza shops, and just honestly wanted them to remake it, but they treated us like they thought we were idiots for asking. It was embarrassing. I have pictures of the pizza with a tape measure for size, and I have pictures of what it looked like when the manager angrily threw cheese on the pizza and gave it back to us raw.

For the simplicity of the fish sandwich, it was pretty good! If they added some seasoning or fancied up the bread it would be even better. You do have to purchase the fries and tartar sauce separately.

The best fish sandwich I’ve ever had - my parents are from Wheeling and ate here their whole life, as have I. I always come get a sandwich when I’m in town! Perfectly fried to perfection.

I finally made it out to Coleman's. I had the fish sandwich, deviled crab, and clam boat. They were very good and made the trip definitely worthwhile.

Coleman's is absolutely INSANE for the price. Definitely follow the advice of others + order your fish sandwich with the bread on the side so it stays crispier + allows you to keep some for later munchies. 🤭 The alligator soup was okay, but I don't think I'd get it again. Ditto on the cole slaw. Sweet + not super memorable for me. Mac + cheese was very soft in texture, but the taste was on point. I couldn't stop eating it. Would get the mac again. 👍 Fries were a solid side too. The deviled crab had a lot of filler/flavors, but it tasted pretty good. It's worth splitting with someone or getting for yourself for later. All-in-all, Coleman's is definitely worth a stop if you find yourself anywhere in the area. 💯💯💯

I don't normally eat sea food but my aunt tricked me into eating here and honestly it was super good. Everything was fresh and hot and super delicious. The environment is so friendly as well. Best part about it is the fact that there a bunch of small stores around it so once it done eating u can check out all the other lil shops. All together was pretty good experience

Coleman’s Fish Market is hands down one of the best spots in Wheeling, WV! Their fresh fish sandwiches and hometown service are unbeatable. Love this place as they always have a great selection of fresh seafood. I'm not crazy about their fish sandwich though. The white fish is good and they are not at all stingy on tgeirportions, but their breading is very lacking in flavor. Pretty bland but my husband, like thousands of others, loves it. The building is absolutely adorable. It really draws you in. There are other food stands in the building as well and I am dying to try one of them sometime. An absolute must for your fresh seafood needs, such as cioppino.

Food was great. Service was not. I wouldn't even consider them that busy, but waited 30 minutes for a drink. If this were the first time, it wouldn't be a big deal, but it's consistent here, unfortunately. Always the last choice when I'm in Wheeling for a game, and that won't be changing tonight.

Food isn’t good anymore, it’s just your local frozen bar food now. My wife was served rice that was hard enough to break your teeth. The steak I had didn’t taste fresh and was chewy. My daughters fish basket was just frozen fish tenders and the coleslaw tastes like it came out of a tub. The service really sucked as well, our waitress was completely absent even to where the kitchen had to bring our food out at first to the wrong table. It wasn’t busy either, so there wasn’t a good excuse. Aside from this, the bar is still legit and the bartenders are really great. Overall, I just hate seeing a once fantastic restaurant in downtown Wheeling on such a steep decline. I hope they can reinvent themselves.

We were looking for some food about 130 PM on Wednesday afternoon. We walked into an almost empty dining room ( there was only one person eating at a High-top table. It looked like a couple employees were at the far end of the area. We. Peered around the corner and stood at the front entrance a bit. It was as if we were invisible.. no one around.... webpage said you were open, but evidence does not support. Good service needs to be managed, bad service happens all by itself.

What a fabulously adorable place with amazing fresh dishes! First three items on the lunch menu sounded perfect, so along with trying all of them, had to add a blueberry cheese danish too. Everything was delicious and made perfectly.

Sarah’s On Main is such a wonderful spot! The food is delicious — the sweet potato hash with chorizo was amazing, and the Quiche Lorraine was fluffy, dense, and perfect. The lavender coffee was such a unique and comforting touch. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and Sarah herself is so kind and sweet, which makes the whole experience even better. Truly a place that makes you feel at home while enjoying a special meal.

I love this place. I don’t even consider myself a salad person but oh my gosh their salads are so good on every occasion I’ve had them that I crave them. Genuinely delicious food. My only small complain is that sometimes the espresso (I usually get a cappuccino or latte) is hit or miss. Maybe it depends on who makes it. Overall I really love this place and employees are very nice. I like spending time in there.

Seeing how high this establishment is rated, I made the 180 mile round trip to Sarah's On Main with pretty high expectations. Regretfully, I just don't understand what all the hype is about. I will say I've never had French toast in the form of sliced breadsticks before, and I appreciate the attempt at a unique take on the dish. The appreciation ended though when the dull knife provided couldn't cut through about half of the French toast because it was so tough even after soaking in an entire container of maple syrup for a while. The egg was just your ordinary egg with no seasoning whatsoever, which left the three little sausage links as the sole redeeming part of the meal. At least the wait staff were all friendly and the quaint establishment was in a nice part of town with ample street parking.

To all my fellow road warriors still choking down those sad, shrink-wrapped hotel muffins: I've seen the light. It's emanating from Sarah's on Main, specifically from their breakfast sandwiches and perfectly brewed coffee. Consider this your intervention. You deserve better.

We stopped on our way through Wheeling, what a lucky find! The grinder sandwich was amazing! The focaccia was perfect, this was one of the better meals we have had in a while! Stop here, you will not regret it.

Sarah’s On Main was recommended to us by a real estate agent while looking for coffee and breakfast when first in town. He mentioned the homemade bread was incredible. We have since been multiple times and always leave fully impressed by the food, service, and atmosphere. We’ve enjoyed pastries, sandwiches and lunch specials. You really can’t go wrong with any order here. And the coffee is easily one of the best in town. Love the outdoor garden with mural and back yard area. Would be grateful for more gluten free options and longer hours but completely understand the costs and staff challenges associated with both.

Overall, we liked it. We stayed in the Byrd Wing in the Lodge and it was very dated. The toilet was so close to the bath tub and carpet in the bathroom areas aren't the most sanitary. Super confusing layout and honestly, not very kid friendly. No kids menus at any of the restaurants or highchairs/kids cups. We went down to the lake for the Fall Nights and beware there is zero lightening on the walking path down. We used our phone flashlights. Cars do fly around so be very alert! This place is nice for adults, kids I would take elsewhere next time. Also, no fridge or microwaves in rooms. Ice machines and most vending machines did not work properly. Staff was very friendly though! I think the property just needs a good upkeep/overhaul.

First time at Oglebay and won't be my last. Great, very spacious room with inside and outside access which I love. Plenty of amenities and super friendly staff. The fig and pig pizza at Skyline was worth the stay alone but the staff in the bar were excellent. Kyasia made killer old fashioneds and Tyler and Emmy kept things lively. Definitely will return.

Chalets are musty, no microwave, no frig, have to go into lodge and walk down long halls to just get ice. Front desk would not accommodate and switch rooms. Night staff was helpful. Housekeepers were very sweet & helpful. Food was delicious from Skyline especially the fish.

I called their customer service for a future booking for my big family of 10. Call customer service for some information on the five connecting room not only was she Super rude but also hung up on me when I tried to clear a question. I will definitely be taking my $7000 vaction somewhere else. I see why you have 3 star customer service is everything.

The staff is friendly BUT. There where bed bugs in the cabin. It was a whole scramble on their side which ended with improper treatment. They treated the cabin but the bed bugs were back the next night. We did not get to use the room all day so we had to eat at their restaurant which is incredibly overpriced, any there are not many free activities onsite. We got 50% of the cost comped, but that doesn't cover the fact that we now have to deal with the "did we bring them back" issue and we couldn't eat the food we bought to save money. They initially said we would be comped 100% of the price of the room but then on check out there was all of a sudden protocol and because we did not move to the smaller cabin that did not fit our needs, we only got a 50% comp. This trade off was by no means communicated to us at any point until check out. The onsite coordinators for the wedding we were there to attended also barely coordinated, and its internal resources. -Added note on 10/23/2025 to respond to the businesses comment. It was a cabin reservation for a group. Reservation was under my friend. He has only received "Sorry that was your experience" platitudes. It is very clear that bed bugs are expected by management.

Had a great anniversary. Room was spacious and everything was nice. They even gave my hubby and me a complimentary bottle of wine for our 27 th anniversary. Will be back again!

My review is about the Oglebay website. It is so outdated. It is not easy to navigate. It does not provide photos of each room in the cottage or home you are renting. People would like to see what they are paying for and not have any surprises when they get there. Your website is not mobile friendly. My recommendation is to reach out to your website company 'FINE' and come into this century.

The collection focuses on glass made in Wheeling WV, which is highly reputed for glassmaking. The quality of the collection does not disappoint, as they have many impressive items on display. The glass museum is part of a larger estate, which can keep tourists busy for a little while. While the museum has excellent collections, it lacked explanations or interactivity. Cases after cases of glass: nice to look at, not sure I learned much. Instead of devoting half of the building to a gift shop, perhaps the museum part deserves more space and a revamped approach to engaging visitors.

How neat! I have a love for glass. Especially carnival glass. We learned a lot about glass making in the area over the years and we got to look at absolutely beautiful pieces. We visited during the festival of the lights so we also walked the grounds and checked those out. They are beautiful! We bought the tickets that included the Mansion tour and that was interesting also! We definitely enjoyed our visit from Michigan!

We have been going to Oglebay for many years now around the Christmas holidays. We have always loved shopping at what used to be the Oglebay Carriage House and now the Oglebay Institute Glass Museum. They have some nice Christmas items there, however just not the same shopping experience. We definitely miss what Oglebay used to be compared to what it is today.

We were surprised that it cost $15..00 to visit the house and museum. There's no discount for seniors or vets. But once we got into the museum we were very pleased with the displays. The light and the color that were reflected was super. The historical information posted on the walls about Wheeling being the glass factory capitol for so many years.

Beautiful exhibit of locally made glass. Gift shop items were a little pricey, but definitely a worthwhile trip. We went during the Christmas festival of lights and it was very nice. The lodge is beautiful and the price for an overnight stay is very reasonable.

Wonderful little zoo for children. My 1st grader LOVED IT! Not so big that you feel like you’re missing anything & the animals were all so active during the day we were there. We got to see the cheetahs run & eat! While on our trip I lost my prescription sunglasses… they not only found them for me but mailed them to my house! We will be back very soon!!

This is a great zoo! We have been here several times and we enjoyed it every time. The kids favorite is of course the 3 red Panda's. The pens are clean and are nice environments. Must see the albino Alligator, the Snow Leopard, the Maned Wolf, and the Kangaroo display.

This zoo is so cute and it's a great retirement home for the animals! I went with some friends to do the behind-the-scenes golf cart led tour and it was fabulous. Brin was our guide - she was so knowledgeable, funny, and nice. Excellent people skills! The facility is so well maintained and we got to tour the animal hospital as well. They take really good care of the animals here, even if it is a smaller zoo. The larger resort surrounding the zoo was also so beautiful! I hope to visit the resort for their holiday lights in the future.

My mom used to take us all the time in the 80s. Now I take my daughter and we both love going! The staff is friendly and informative. One young lady stopped and told us all about the personalities of the Tamarins. I appreciate the zoos efforts to grow, evolve, and offer better experiences for the animals.

So many unique animals, particularly the rare maned wolves and red pandas, that you can see up close and learn about. The zoo has a fun and vibrant atmosphere and also has plenty of educational opportunities about animals, nature and conservation. I can't say enough about how knowledgeable and friendly all the staff are. They are truly passionate animal advocates and everyone I met seem to love their jobs. Try the animal encounters for an in-depth experience.

Extremely kid friendly! The animals meet you at the windows! There are tons of play stations available for smaller children inside and outside! We are from Northern Ohio and the second I seen the zoo map I thought we wasted our time and money. I am so glad I am able to say I was wrong!

Loved it here, myself and my family had a great time. My hall had a picnic here it was great they do birthdays and other events. The pool is the biggest I've been in, they have gold paddle boating and much more. Had a great time

My sister and I had a very pleasant afternoon sitting in the shade overlooking the big pond. We took our own folding chairs so we could sit anywhere. We could not see any ducks nor geese anywhere near the big pond. The big pond is located near the putt putt golf. Fun paddle boats are available

Wheeling park is a great place to get in a hike! We did 5 miles it was a beautiful day!

Nice 9 hole short track that was in town. The fairways were in decent shape. The greens seemed to be well maintained. Plenty of parking there and greens fee with cart was reasonably priced. There were vending machines but no snack bar in operation. Also has a pool, tennis, part, band stand, skate rink, playground, and put-put golf.

A gem in Wheeling!! Lots of friendly staff, beautifully kept grounds and lots to do with the family. Golf, tennis, rollar skating, playground, swimming, and funfest. Wheeling is so lucky to have this place!!

Very poor customer service. The person taking our order wasn’t helpful at all . We asked if they had any specials on their roast beef sandwiches. The employee said “yes”... So then we had to ask “Well what are they?” I would think if somebody is asking about the specials you should probably just tell them, but that’s just me. She also sounded annoyed that we were asking questions. The food was bad quality. The curly fries were cold and all broken end pieces. I would just say don’t ever go here. They don’t seem to want customers. We’ve also had problems with them closing early, or turning off all the lights to make it look like they’re closed.

They seemed understaffed. While I was in there, there was a door dasher complaining about her pickup order from last time in a pretty annoying tone. The staff handled it great and were very courteous. Which was nice because I would have definitely made that lady sit and wait a while if she spoke to me that way. Anyway, food was as expected. The steak nuggets were likely not beef, but repurposed deer ankles.

Unbelievably bad experience, especially considering it's harder to have lower expectations than at an Arby's drive-thru to begin with. But... Wherever you have set those expectations... Prepare to be disappointed. Management is still riding the covid excuse wave so the restaurant is understaffed and the bathroom is closed. Spent 20 minutes in the drive-thru. Staff was rude. Had to ask for napkins. Discovered that there was no sauce for the very beaten up roast beef sandwich in the bag... At that point, you have no options because it's not like you're going to sit in the drive-thru for 20 minutes to ask for sauce. If you can possibly avoid this stop by the freeway, do so. Eating one of your own limbs or possibly one of your young is likely a better decision than going here.

Stopped by to try the Wagyu Burger, the sauce was good, the burger was a bit charred and on the dry side. Not what I expected out of the best meat in the world but it's not the meats fault it was over cooked. The flavors were good but was disappointing because of the over cooking. Crinkle fries and chocolate shake were good. I went through the drive thru so I was all the way home before seeing the cook on the burger, otherwise I would have returned it.

I'm not impressed with my most recent visit. Half the sandwich was smashed and the cheese all over the wrapper instead of on the sandwich. I didn't get a Pic of the fries but I got the curly fries and they were ALL end pieces, not one curly q fry! Very disappointing 😞

Donuts were stale! They should never have sold these donuts they were stale. Cannot recommend!

Double cheese burger with bacon beautiful smash burgers cooked to perfection. Chicago dog in all its poppyseed covered glory. I can never find them anywhere so Very excited. Chili cheese fries had killer chili on them, loved the beans! Cold beer and a warm fire what more could i ask for!

Fragile Bun Steals Fun I would gamble that there’s not a prettier setting in WV to eat a burger. Rolling hills, Ski Slopes and unobstructed views for miles. But the burger bun should hold up emotionally and physically. RT88BB got recommended as the best burger in Wheeling and in a sea of frozen patties laced with soy, they may be right. But if you pick up this burger you can’t put it down because the bun disintigrates in your hands. I had to ask for a second top bun which also split the second I touched it. I got a double “all the way” and the bun made it “some of the way.” Don’t order the triple unless you plan on using a fork. If this burg gets a sturdy potato bun in the future it’ll be list worthy, today its just wish worthy. Fine burg, keep it to a single.

Do not eat here! Very expensive for a small burnt dry burger. Burger is so thin you can see through it. The view is great. The hotdog was actually good but huge bun. Fries are good. Save your money and go to McDonald's.

This is a great place to grab a burger, hot dog, or fries and a drink. Live music on weekends was cool. It is a very rustic joint but ended up sharing a table with a fun couple and had a good evening learning about Wheeling / Bridgeport area.

Burgers are the best. Ended coming back for a second time for the burgers. Ended up getting triple burger and their daily special, Tater Tot pile up which were really good, too! Nice selection of beer, IPAs, and sours. They have Country Roads Trust Lager as well. Nice view and balcony with seats to watch skiers/snowboarders or just enjoy a beer!

Clean, friendly place. We got there and there was a live band playing. We waited a little bit for our food, but it was worth it. Our only complaint was that our fries smothered in cheese sat on the counter for a good 10 minutes and got cold. The rest of the food was really good.

The food was pretty good, the dessert was great. The historic building is unique to eat in and there are several different dining areas and a bar. Reservations and collared shirts are recommended. The dining room is in the basement.

Cozy place with friendly folks on both sides of the bar, great food, expansive menu and fantastic service (Corrie was awesome). Had the tasty tuna salad and calamari. Free pool tables. Will return here next trip to Oglebay.

Thru the toughest circumstances in years, Charlie and his Top Hand Jeremiah/ staff have brought The West / Stratford Springs back from closure to a thriving Special Occasion, Dining Room and Sports Bar second to none. The menu has such a variety that everyones taste are satisfied. This only works with a cooking Staff with pride,drive and respect for each customers dish . The West has an extensive Salad menu that I order from weekly. My personal favorite is the Greek Salad with Blackened Chicken topped with Charlie's Greek Dressing but there are literally over a dozen choices. Our Weekends are often highlighted by The West Breakfast menu with choices from French Toast to Mexican specialties that are phenomenal. Its not hard to tell by reviews who have actually been to The West.

The West at Stratford Springs hosted a corporate dinner for my team. The experience was wonderful from start to finish. Jeramiah went above and beyond to accommodate our small group and made planning a breeze. Our servers were great and everyone enjoyed their meals. I definitely recommend!

The newly renovated West is nothing short of amazing! My sister is getting married there very soon, and Jeremiah is wonderful! He has left no detail uncovered. Very pleasant experience. Highly recommend.

My husband and I attended the Christmas Eve Eve event. It was very nice with a free buffet and live entertainment!! We had a lovely time. We have been to The West several times for various things and we always enjoy ourselves. The staff is exceptional and are always attentive to their guests. (Jeremiah and Corey are awesome!!)

The food was excellent! Staff were so helpful and accommodating! They certainly go above and beyond to make your event special. Our only complaint was that the chairs are overdue for an upgrade.

Wings, perogies, all beef hotdog. Hotdog was spicy, came with chili sauce, shredded cheddar, and was way bigger than the bun. I had not ordered them before ands did not realize the size. After eating 5 wings and sharing the perogies, I could only eat 1 of the 2 hotdogs I ordered. Very good

Generations is a vibe and whenever we pass through West Virginia, you know the boys are stopping in.

We had an amazing experience at Generations Restaurant and Pub! The perogies and boneless chicken wings were absolutely delicious — full of flavor and cooked perfectly. We also tried the liver and onions, which were done just right, and topped it off with one of their lava cake desserts — rich, warm, and decadent. Our waitress was outstanding — not only was she attentive and friendly, but she also shared a quick history of the restaurant and gave us great recommendations for places to check out while we’re visiting Wheeling. Her hospitality truly made the experience memorable. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area!

It was our server's first night out of training, and she did phenomenal. This came out in conversation and we were happy to be able to build her up. She was personable, thorough, and attentive. The menu had changed some since the last time we were there, and everything sounded appetizing. We usually love the Buffalo chicken dip here, but tonight it was lukewarm. There was an abundance of pita bread, which was a pleasant surprise. My husband enjoyed the flavor of his burger. The WV dogs were a miss. They were overally wet, and I needed a knife and fork to eat them. I've had them in the past and really enjoyed them. The salad was fresh and plentiful.

We stopped here for lunch while passing through to Gettysburg National Military Park and had a wonderful experience. The food was really good, our server was better than excellent and the proces were quite reasonable.

From someone that has worked in a sports bar for over 17 years, this place is fantastic. Everyone from the host to the owner were very inviting. TV's were all on different college football games and the place was energetic. Props to the owner and the staff!

It was an interesting stop while in WV. Unfortunately the trees and greenery were over grown and blocked most of the view of the valley and river. I thought we were going to have to hike up to get to the look out point, but there is a small parking area. The graffiti is interesting and apparently ever changing

Mount Wood Overlook is such an awesome place to explore. It is in the shape fo a castle that has graffiti all over it which makes it look really neat. There is also a scenic overlook looking over the town below. There is a small parking area right in front of the structure. It is a great spot for photography and even photoshoots.

Nice stop if you are driving though here. Beautiful view. I didn't want my kids to read the graffiti but I couldn't stop them. Obviously there are some inappropriate words here. No bathrooms here. Worth a stop

This place was amazing. It was a literal dream come true. Had so much fun made some good friends and hung out on the hill for a minute. Love you all definitely visit this place.

Very cool overlook. See nearly everything in anout 2 miles. Kind of tricky to find. Hairpin turn right, uphill! Parking is limited to maybe 6 cars. Not crowded during our visit. (Only one other visitor.)

Pretty cool to place to check out. Graffiti art was cool and fun to explore. Great views!

I just like seeing suspension bridges. This was a very nice stop on a PA to OH and back road trip on Labor Day weekend. There is a road closed sign in front of the bridge but that’s just for vehicles. You can walk or bike across it. It was a beautiful day. We really enjoyed walking across and seeing the river. There is no fee and no ticket required. We parked on the street a half a block away. This is on the National Road heritage trail - there is a little info sign about the history of the bridge and the trail right there too. If you are parked on the side where heritage port is, you are crossing over to Wheeling Island and vice versa.

The Wheeling Suspension Bridge is a nice local landmark and great spot for a walk. The bridge was built in 1849 and has so much history to it. Near the entrance, there’s a sign that gives a lot of helpful information about the history and construction of the bridge. They were actually doing renovations to the bridge when I was there, but that didn’t hinder the experience. When walking across the bridge, there’s great views of the city of Wheeling, the Ohio River, and Wheeling Island. It’s a cool landmark to visit if you’re in the area.

A great historic site in the midst of an historic town. Easy to walk to everything, lots of small shops to visit, and a lot of great architecture.

It was the largest suspension bridge in the world from 1849 until 1851. The Bridge is a suspension bridge spanning the main channel of the Ohio River at Wheeling, West Virginia. The bridge was a very interesting engineering piece of history. We wanted to see the bridge but it was under renovation. They were doing bridge repair, so the bridge was closed to motor vehicles. We could only walk on one side of the street near the bridge and get some good pictures. Hope it reopens.

Very interesting stop to make if you can. Couple of nice restaurants and pubs close to the Wheeling side.

Magical theater! Canada in 3 more years, the Capital Music Hall will be 100 years old. This stage is legendary to country music, artists and fans. There were two live shows every Saturday night which were broadcast on the 50,000 watt station WWVA 1170 to 18 states and 9 Canadian provinces. Shows of all types are now held weekly. A Must-see!

Nice theater. The staff is wonderful and the seats are comfortable. Only issue was too much ambient lighting during the concert, which tended to wash out the stage lighting. But we really enjoyed our experience and will definitely return.

Incredible venue. Was our first time there and we will definitely be going back. Staff was Incredible as well. Fantastic evening. Parking garage was closed, but there was a lovely lady next door with inexpensive spaces. Definitely recommend.

Been here a few times now, every dish we have had has been exceptional. Steaks are amazing, short rib was delicious, desserts were the perfect end to the meal (affogato and gluten free chocolate cake!) Drinks are always great. We love having a nice place to get dressed up and celebrate special occasions here in wheeling!

We are visiting from out of town for an extended period and have tried All The Restaurants in Wheeling - and this is the best. We’ve been a few times now and it’s consistently awesome: great drinks, great food, great people. I particularly enjoyed the Jamaican shrimp curry - it was very well spiced though not at all spicy (which would have made me like it even more truth be told). We’ve gotten the wedge every time, it’s that good. The meatball appetizer was also delicious - I loved the little garlic confits on the toasts. The roast chicken was great. The steaks and short rib were great … we really have worked through most of the menu! Everyone who we’ve encountered there has been really gracious and attentive and accommodating. We sat in the bar area and had a wonderful time.

Husband here for a work trip and we have been here at least 4 times for dinner this week! Once we are set on something we love we just have to eat it as much as possible. During the week days it was not crazy busy but the atmosphere is great! Our favorite dish is definitely the cacio e Pepe chicken the normal is great but replaced the roasted potatoes with the risotto and you won’t be disappointed! Our week is ending and we are so devastated but we will have to make a trip back one day!

I stopped in here Friday evening before going to the Capital Theatre around 5 pm. I would probably recommend calling and getting a reservation if you were planning to come here much later on a Friday evening. It was getting quite busy by the time I was finishing my meal. The lamb shank was delicious and cooked well. The risotto was good but I feel like it could be improved. I got the bananas foster bread pudding for dessert which was good. I’d recommend stoping here if you are in the area.

Nice atmosphere and good food. The charcuterie board had a good variety of choices and the drinks were just right. We did ask for extra bread for the charcuterie board. The burger was huge and the rosemary fries were tasty. My salmon fish had very good flavoring. The steak was good but cooked over the requested medium rare, it was more medium.

Probably my favorite restaurant in Wheeling. The food is always amazing and they have great specials each week. My wife loves the cocktails and the service has always been great. Outdoor seating is nice in the summer. I’d recommend getting reservations.

We were site seeing and this place had the best view of the Suspension Bridge! The bar tender was very nice and the servers recommended places to go see in the area. The food was really good and well priced. The outdoor patio and ease of parking were a huge plus.

Nice downtown location with a great view of the suspension bridge. We were here on a Thursday afternoon, it wasn’t too busy so parking was easy. The server greeted us quickly and was very friendly. I enjoyed the fried pepper jack cheese appetizer. I had the club and even though it was huge and put together as I expected I felt it could use some bacon or maybe some bacon jam. Just needs a bit of flavor. My husband had the turkey cranberry wrap- it was a unique blend of flavors, kind of like thanksgiving in a wrap. It was tasty! I liked the decor and the history of the area.

This is a hidden gem! Cool atmosphere and attentive service. My food was delicious. The cheese balls incredible! Hot and crunchy on the outside and melted cheese on the inside with just a little spice! My burger was excellent. I got a side salad and it had more in it than most I get. If I’m back in Wheeling I’d go back!

Bridge Tavern & Grill in Wheeling, WV is one of those places that never disappoints. The steak salad and chicken wraps are excellent, and I’ve got a soft spot for their onion rings and fried pickles — all tasty, all at a fair price. The atmosphere has that classic local feel, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. As part of Remax Broadwater: Team WolfePack, I enjoy pointing folks new to the area toward spots like Bridge Tavern because it’s the kind of place that makes Wheeling feel like home.

A great food spot next to the iconic Suspension Bridge! The cheese bites, turkey club and the suspension smash burger were all delicious. The owner Doug and our waitress were super informative of the area and friendly! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful! I cannot say enough about this place. They were having Octoberfest and we stopped in. Bratwurst and kraut was excellent. Potato pancake and German potato salad was like my mom's. So delicious. Cold beer. The servers and management made us feel so welcome. Can't wait to visit again. Forgot to take pic of my food but my sister and brother in law let me take this great photo!

A Must-Visit for History Buffs and Foodies Alike! What a fantastic experience! This historical building is an absolute gem, boasting awesome architecture that truly transports you back in time. The hospitality was top-notch. I had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, who was incredibly hospitable. We had a great conversation about the business and the town's rich history, which really added to the personal touch of my visit. And the food? Simply great! I highly recommend their smash burger with their signature sauce – it was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. To top it all off, I was pleasantly surprised by their impressive variety of bourbons. The staff's knowledge was exceptional, and their recommendations were spot-on.

Loved this place! We were out site seeing and found this place. The service was top notch! The servers were very friendly and recommended other places to go see on our visit. The food was great and I highly recommend the fried french toast sticks with handmade cream cheese dip! The atmosphere is very friendly. Parking was a breeze and the place was very clean. Highly recommend.

The truffle fries were delicious. I had the BLT and my husband had the hangover burger. They were pretty much your basic all American dishes. We will try something more unique next time. We also dined in on a Sunday for brunch and the service was not great either.

Had a great time here! We arrived right when they opened and were seated in a nice booth in the window. They had great local alcoholic ciders that my partner and I tried. The gluten free breakfast I had was good.

The atmosphere looks nice on the inside. The customer service was ok. I ordered the frog legs and I was highly disappointed. These were the smallest I have ever seen in my life. The honey lemon pepper seasoning I had on it was delicious. So we asked could we get some of the sauce to go and that we would pay for the sauce. The chef told the waitress that he didn't have time to be making a sauce if we were not placing another order. So I do not plan to go back again.

Been here many times since its beginning, through all the changes, and I’m always excited to see the growth of this restaurant. Super creative and tasty menu. Constantly keeping things new and fresh. Lots of exclusive food events through the year as well. A must-stop spot in the Ohio Valley! Staff is always super friendly and quick as well.

We were looking for a different place for brunch and this hit the spot perfectly! Seeing where everything is sourced from on the menu showed that community is important. It also did not disappoint. We loved everything… coffee with cream , farmer Eric’s eggs Benedict, and the lemon and blueberry waffles with sausage…. All delicious! How does someone make eggs this good???

Probably the best wings I’ve ever had, the tater tots and hot pepper cheese balls are also good, the cheese steak had to much bread and not enough meat and cheese. But all around I would recommend eating here.

We were just passing through on our way back from a road trip and Pickles was the best meal we had on the entire trip. The service was fast even though they were busy, staff very friendly, and the prices were more than fair for the amazing quality of the food. We got the garlic parmesan boneless wings, pulled pork nachos, killer steak sandwich, and reuben fries. Everything was absolutely delicious. If it wasn't so far from WI, we would be regulars. If we ever pass through again this is definitely our go-to. To the owners- you are doing something right. Your food was fantastic and your staff are super nice. Not even my experience but another girl was grabbing pickup and your staff noticed one of the containers leaked all over the bag and replaced the bag and the appetizer that broke open without question. If you aren't already, be proud of the service you provide. You guys rock and thank you for being a part of our trip!

Road trip to Wheeling Island brought us to this little bar. We're always on the lookout for unique menus and local digs with great reviews. Pickle's did not disappoint. We ordered some wings...ranch, pb&j, bourbon bbq, ozzy, maple garlicand mild ranchero. Dude! We will definitely back even if only for the pb&j wings!! Fantastic. Ozzy was good. Bourbon bbq good. The ladies liked the house made ranch. Mild ranchero and maple garlic weren't bad... just underwhelming. Not a whole lot of flavor. The capn crunch chicken tendies were both flavorful and juicy. The jam burger was also very good. SIL said, "Yeah, I like it. Tastes like a bacon and onion burger. " LOL Atmosphere... little local dive bar. Actually... we love those quite frankly. They always have great food. Service... the waitresses were all so very nice! Having said that we were constantly looking for one and always seemed to have an empty drink at the table. I think I spent over 15 minutes myself with nothing to drink while eating my wings. Prices were very good. Food was hot and ample quantity. They weren't huge portions, but they were "enough." I would recommend giving this place a try. Be adventurous. They have a cool menu and I think I counted over 30 wing flavors!!

The waitress was great but the Philly cheesesteak was awful. There were no onions or peppers that I could tell, There was no cheese, and it was so dry. Just terrible. My husband has the BLT which was good but he said at lunch it's been made better.

We stopped here after a football game one night and it ended up being one of our favorite bars anywhere near! Bartenders are so nice and fun and the food is awesome. The pickles can’t be beat and the Buffalo wings are amazing! There are so many other awesome looking things on the menu, but since I’m only in town several times a year, I can’t help but order pickles and wings! I can’t wait until the next time I am near this place!

Atmosphere- located on Wheeling Island in an old neighborhood (probably not the best area of Wheeling). This restaurant felt compact. Tables were too close together and there wasn’t a lot of them. Looks to be two floors but never went upstairs to see if there was more room up there. Had to wait about ten minutes for a table even though they didn’t seem busy. Just a weird layout. Service- 4 stars- our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Food- 4 stars- enjoyed the fried dumplings and the Kung Pao Chicken. Large portions! Also got the Chicken and zucchini with garlic sauce- was supposed to be spicy but wasn’t at all- still decent but wish it had some kick to it. Overall a pretty good Chinese restaurant.

There were four of us and we all got seafood. They gave you plenty of shrimp, crab, and scallops. The entire portion of food was huge. We all took some home. I thought the food was actually better the second day. Usually parsley does not have a taste but this parsley tasted really good. I even ate the decorative radish flower. It was good too. Brooke was our waitress and she did a fantastic job. Always there when you needed her and very attentive. We will definitely go back.

Some of the best Chinese food I’ve had to date is for this really great restaurant! It doesn’t look like much on the outside but the food more than makes up for it! We tried several dishes and all of them were very tasty! A cozy and inviting atmosphere but it can be a little cramped if the restaurant is near capacity. The decor is tasteful, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Overall, if you're looking for a great Chinese meal in Wheeling, WV, you can't go wrong with Golden Chopsticks.

Not Golden anymore. I have been eating at Golden Chopsticks ever since Martin opened this place. I worked with Martin when Peking Gardens was in Wheeling. Jimmy too bless his soul. However, the quality is not what it once was since Martin sold this place and the customer service I received while ordering takeout was terrible. I miss Jimmy. He was the best!. I was told that they don’t make sweet and sour pork. Only chicken, beef, or shrimp. and the ginger salad is no more. This was one of my faves! As I was inquiring about Singapore chow mei fun the girl told me to”hold on.” After waiting for a few and being a little frustrated I hung up and called back hoping to get someone else. Another person answered and I asked him what was in the Singapore chow Mei fun. He told me veggies, egg and a protein of my choice like chicken, beef, or shrimp. I am familiar with this dish and know what goes in it. I just wanted to make sure they made it this way. So I ordered this dish with the chicken as well as the sweet and sour chicken. When I got home and opened the containers I was very disappointed at what I saw. The sweet and sour chicken is what you would get a a cheap fast food Chinese takeout. Heavy breading with very little meat and hardly any veggies. Chow mei fun did not have one sliver of chicken or veggies or egg. So sad to this place turn out the way it has. Who would have ever thought that some of the best Chinese food I've ever had in my life would come from an unassuming building located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Wheeling? Trust me when I tell you that if you are anywhere close to this restaurant you must stop! The food is excellent! Freshly prepared and delicious. Everything we ordered was delicious. It's absolutely wonderful!

Another Excellent lunch fresh hot and flavors perfect w/Billy as our waiter. Billy is a exceptional waiter, he never missed a beat! He has heart a great personality knows the menu well and has a charming way about him! Golden is a classic Chinese American restaurant in Wheeling that I have visited for decades. Food is always fresh, generous servings, efficient service, kind and gracious management, comfortable dining room, and tops in Wheeling. Our family enjoys their sushi, hot n sour soup, steamed dumplings, mapo tofu, Chinese eggplant, sesame chicken, Young chow fried rice, kung pao chicken, Chinese angel hair pasta, moo shu pork with Asian pancake wraps, bok choy with shitake mushrooms, sauteed string beans, orange beef, and steamed whole fish. You will not regret and walk out happily full.

Very cool place to just chill, take a break and contemplate life. Parking nearby is free on the weekend but you have to pay during week. You have to use a parking app and bring up the zone you are in that's on the meter.

Very nice park, and pretty clean. Oly issue is one area I wouldn't walk by myself. A guy puking and shaking. Sorry, but facts. Mostly felt safe, patrolling officers went by twice in an hour. Wesbanco Arena , (hockey) is right there too.

This is a nice waterfront park in downtown Wheeling. Lots of seating and a beautiful view. There a several options for restaurants nearby. The park is well maintained and clean. The only negative is there are always a number of homeless just loitering, although we have never been harassed.

Avenue Eats in Wheeling, WV is easily one of my favorite burger spots in town. Their roasted jalapeño and smoked gouda burger is packed with flavor, and the hand-cut fries with gravy are a must-try. The atmosphere is fun and laid-back, with a cool interior design and a beautiful river view that makes it stand out. The staff is always friendly and helpful, which just adds to the experience. I even did a full video showcasing them recently because it’s the kind of local gem I’m proud to share. I got the poutine burger, and it was delicious. The fries were fresh cut and crispy, not one bit soggy. The cupcakes were a bit boring for 4 bucks a piece but tasted fine. It's an open area atmosphere and kind of loud at times but not bad. I'll definitely be going back.

Loved this place! Right on the river and excellent food and service! Super friendly to this out-of-towner! Burgers, salads, everything all really good and fresh. Local beers on tap! Highly recommend!

Having never been there before, we were slightly confused about the seating/ ordering process at first. We were told to seat ourselves and did, but soon realized we would need to order at the window before seating ourselves, lol! So, if its your first trip...order at the window, all beverages at the bar, then seat yourself. Staff was incredibly friendly, food was delicious and very laid back atmosphere. The place was clean and inviting. Loved the river view as well!

Beautiful building and atmosphere. I ordered the Caprese chicken salad and my husband ordered the poutine burger. You order your drinks and food separately. And pick up your drinks at the bar. Then they bring your food out to you. The food was decent we both felt that the dishes were lacking flavor though. Overall a decent spot.

Great food, great service, never disappoints. Personal fave is sloppy Joe (add cheddar) and Classic Burger. I like to grab a soda from the bar and eat outside by the river. An absolute local treasure & generous business often giving back to the community in quiet & profound ways. Highly recommend.

Nice, but I liked it much more when it was on the 2nd floor. We hoped to also stop at The Prodical Daughter right next door to the Wheeling Artisan Center. But despite being listed as open (on the Prodigal Daughter's website), it was closed.

I just love the shops. Prodigal Daughter is unique and edgy. The art center supports local artists and crafters. Great gift shop especially for all things West Virginia.

I really liked this store. Lots of neat things practically all from West Virginia. Jennifer was very nice and informative and even offered to help my girlfriend who uses a cane exit the store because the main elevator was not in service due to the renovation taking place. I highly recommend going there even with the renovation happening. You won't be disappointed.

Great Italian style bakery/ deli/ winery! The place is adorable and very well stocked with so many delicious looking items, so much more then wines! Perfect place to find Christmas gifts for your foodie friends! I purchased a few almond croissants and I've been thinking about them ever since! Check this place out for real!

Wheeling is one of the most subtly beautiful places. I was born here and love returning to spend time with family. Wine is also a passion of mine. Good Mansion Wines combines the two in perfect fashion. The shop itself is a treasure. I don't think I have ever bought wine in a prettier place. This of course makes the browsing and ambience incredible. The selection is terrific - real care and intentional curation were taken in the varieties you'll find here. Echézeaux Gand Cru next to Côtes du Rhônes (my most recent visit had me purchasing a great bottle of Chateau de Saint Cosme "Les Deux Albion" which was great (and a great value)), a great selection of Barolos and other treasures of Piemonte, and Italy in general, and just a tremendous and well-selected variety. I could peruse and hang out here for a very long time. I like how they have their wine organized, separating Old World from New, but since the old house is so wonderful to wander through you get to experience different and wonderful rooms full of shelves of some great wine. I truly think this place a real treasure. When you are in this wonderful city, make sure Good Mansion Wines is one of your stops.

It's like stepping into Italy when you walk inside. Well, kind of! The smells are amazing. I had the flan and some coffee. Both were excellent!!! And the amount of imported products from Italy is amazing and interesting. It's definitely worth checking out if you haven't been.

Before our trip to Wheeling yesterday, I did a quick Google search to find a bakery and saw a listing for Good Mansion Wines. It sounded cool, so we added it as a stop for our visit. Imagine my surprise when we pulled up and there was a literal red carpet stretched out from the building! The inside of the house (yes, it's inside a house) is exquisite, very classy and inviting. When you first walk in, you're greeted immediately with a very large wine selection. If you keep moving toward the back of the building, you'll find an amazing cheese selection. They also sell condiments & jarred/tinned items like jams, jellies, peppers, anchovies, mustards, etc. Beyond that, a small yet might bakery offers delicious desserts, homemade bread (that they use to make sandwiches) and fresh pasta. There are numerous imported items also available for purchase. Good Mansion Wines is an absolute must as a place to stop if you're visiting Wheeling. We will definitely be back!

This place was a gorgeous gem! They have actual French chef's and the food reflects this fact. There literally isn't anything I wouldn't recommend. Good Mansion Wines not only has a massive selection of great wines, but an amazing grocery, deli, and bakery selection. If you go any where in Wheeling, go here.

I was the only person touring, and the staff were very nice and friendly. They asked if I wanted to watch a 15 minute documentary, made sure to let me know the layout of the building with elevators/bathrooms/what each floor had, and stopped to explain the history of the main rooms. My favorite part was the documentary, learning about the court room area, and the make your own flag room! I bought postcards from the giftshop.

I'm passionate about history. I despised it in primary school, but now, I cannot get enough. When I go to places like Independence Hall, it warms my heart. The people who have taken such time and care to restore and preserve historic sites such as this one deserve great accolade. This is the site of West Virginia's birth, and they do a great job of telling the story. In addition you will find beautiful antique pieces throughout. This building is beautifully restored. The museum is FREE. The staff were very friendly, and the gift shop is definitely one of the most affordable. Travel tip: there is free parking in a small lot next to the building if you are visiting.

This place is a fantastic museum and it is free! Unbelievable, but true. Four floors of jam packed History. The woman who greeted us was welcoming, pleasant, and fun to talk to. We especially enjoyed her made up British accent.

This place is filled with history! The receptionist was very knowledgeable about the building and could answer just about any questions we had. This is a definite must if you are visiting this area!

Place is clean and nice inside. Lot of newer slot machines. Unfortunately NO machines were hitting or even giving play time for the money. Quick way to loose an easy few hundred dollars in 2 hours. Probably wouldn't go back for quite a while, long while. I like places that even if you're loosing at least you get some free spins or win a few coins to keep playing. That didn't happen here, more taking than giving.

A nice casino with reasonable table games and plenty of slots. Sports betting are is nice. Dog racing is onsite as well

Staff is amazing, buffet is very good , But the machines are extremely tight. When you come to the casino you definitely should not expect to win. When a person can put $1500 in 1 machine and not get any kind of bonuses there something wrong. I have been to a lot of casinos and I have never seen where you absolutely cannot win anything.

The maintenance on this place is severely lacking. Wallpaper peeling off the walls, paint coming off, fixtures broken in the bathroom, stained carpets. Sink and bathtub don't drain, so you're taking a shower in dirty water. Can't brush your teeth and wash your face at the same time because the basin will overflow. This is in a lot of review, so they just don't care. Casino is dirty. Ashtrays overflowing, thousands of empty drinks laying around everywhere. This is the stingyest casino around in terms of comps. On the bright side the staff is helpful and friendly and overall just great. But this place wants to take your money and give you nothing in return. I can't recommend wheeling island and i won't be back.

The chicken mashed potatoes, and coleslaw was good , but the mac and cheese was really disgusting couldnt even taste the noodles , can't talk about the biscuits couse the cook was bitching about make more because it was 9:20 at night so the cashier said don't worry about it I'll take care of it and gave us a b.s reason and told us we could just have an extra side. Didn't really want an extra side but wasn't given a choice really.

Worst experience at this location I've had. Overdone nugs, they gave us 0 sauces for the 20$ box! Called the store,it rang the first time someone picked up and then hung up, then tried several more times and no answer. Will not be back. Probably will just make my own fried chicken from now on. Waste of money, time, and gas.

Got food there on 8.4.25. We went through the drive thru. No customers in the store. Placed our order, paid for it, went home. At home I discovered that my order was wrong and stale. My fries had to come from the very bottom of the last batch, fried the day before. The biscuit was hard and I got crispy, instead of original! There was confusion at the checkout, but a young lady came to the window and settled the issue! The only thing that was done to satisfaction was the coleslaw! Better off going to Chic Fil A!

Food was good people were good I really enjoyed it last night I ate the 4pc dark with mash and gravy with Mac n cheese and food was great the lobby is cleaned bathrooms cleaned really is a good restaurant to eat the service was perfect I will advise to eat here and try it out.

Classic pizza shop with a unique style of pizza. Great service ordering at the counter with the pizza served in boxes. Plenty of parking in the lot or on the side of the street out front. Good value for delicious pizza. The crunch of the crust is so satisfying as is the freshness of the grated cheese served cold on top.

I was visiting my daughter today at OSU & happened to walk by this pizza shop! The same pizza shop “Di Carlo’s” that I ate as a child when visiting my grandparents in Wintersville. Was curious to see if anything had changed over 30+ years and it was exactly how I remembered, even better! Everything fresh & the crispy crust is so Delicious!!! Got it as a take & bake since I had a 2 hour drive with it. Thanks Nick ! I’ll be back for sure!

Sauce was tasty and dough were pretty good. Non-melted cheese is not my preference. Might be good for other, just not great for me.

Stopped by for a tray of take n bake on the way home from New Jersey. I called in the order and showed up when they told me. I stood in the store waiting for about 15 minutes. I asked another person and they pulled it from the refrigerator, it had been ready when I got there.🤨 good thing the pie is so freaking tasty!

Love this and the St. Clairsville location. I guess there is supposed to be some major differences but I don't notice them as I think they're both delicious and SUCH a local traditional favorite.

DiCarlo's Pizza is a local favorite for good reason. Their pepperoni rolls are absolutely delicious - perfect for a quick lunch or snack - and everything is very affordable. Plus, it's conveniently within walking distance from my office, which makes grabbing a bite super easy. Beyond the food, the staff is friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit a great experience. I also appreciate how they've supported my Air Force Recruiting efforts by allowing me to share information with their customers.
