Caverns & Caves
Inner Space Cavern in Texas offers guided tours through a well-preserved cave with thousands of stalactites and stalagmites. For the adventurous, there's the Challenge Course featuring wall climbing, ropes, and rappelling. This extensive cave system, around 25 million years old and uncovered in 1966, showcases interesting rock formations, narrow passages, and cathedral-type rooms. The hour-long tour includes ample parking and restroom facilities at the entrance.
Title: A Truly Unique and Thrilling Experience! I recently visited Inner Space Cavern and had an absolutely amazing time! From start to finish, the tour was well organized and the guides were incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating details about the history, geology, and formation of the cave. One of the most memorable moments was when the guide turned off all the lights deep inside the cave. It’s hard to describe the feeling of being in complete darkness—absolutely pitch black, with zero light and only the sounds of the cave around you. It was both peaceful and awe-inspiring, giving a sense of how early explorers must have felt venturing into these hidden spaces for the first time. The cave itself is stunning—beautiful stalactites, stalagmites, and unique formations everywhere you look. The temperature inside is comfortably cool, so it’s a great escape from the Texas heat. Highly recommend this experience for families, adventure seekers, or anyone curious about nature’s underground wonders. If you haven’t been, put this on your list!

My family and I visited the Inner Space Cavern today and had such a great time! Everyone we interacted with was very friendly and helpful. A special thank you to our guide Tristan, who made the experience so memorable. The whole tour was filled with smiles, stories, jokes, and interesting facts. He guided us so well that we didn’t want to miss a single word. The cave itself is stunning, and an hour felt like just the right amount of time to enjoy its beauty. We left very happy with our visit and would definitely recommend it.

Beautiful, we had such a good time. We took two tours today and the second one was so good. It was just our group 9people. Our tour guide Dennis created such a wholesome and lovely experience for us all we where laughing and enjoying every aspect of the tour. He kept us on pase but never pressured us or made anything feel rushed. We had plenty of opportunities to take any photo we really wanted and it was so peaceful and knowledgeable.
Shelbie A — Google review
Nice and clean. The staff were knowledgeable of the caverns. A great tour of the caverns (about 1 hour long for the basic package). The staff didn’t miss a beat at each stop along the route. They made it interesting enough for all ages. It can get muggy in the cavern and the uphill back up can be daunting but not impossible. FYI. Going uphill out of cave can be difficult. They got different tours for the more adventurous.
Josue D — Google review
Honestly this is one of the more memorable things we did on our trip to Austin (technically Georgetown). Definitely worth the ticket and the trip if you’re nearby. There are 3 packages that you can choose from. Since we were new, we chose the basic package (if you want a little more physical activity and adventure you can choose the others but I think most other people in this review section did the basic package. Don’t worry—the basic package is entertaining and worth your money.) Our guide was very knowledgeable and talked about the cave’s history, geology, and everything in between. It is damp and wet inside the cave so they do recommend closed toe tennis shoes so you don’t accidentally slip but there are strategically placed carpets and handrails in various inclines and declines. There is a photo opportunity at the very beginning of the tour that’s available for purchase and pick up later on at the gift shop for I believe $16. You do walk about 1 mile round trip and the biggest hurdle is coming back from the tour and tackling that huge incline that was previously your decline. The tour is very organized and the sights are beautiful. There is a gift shop, small concession stand like food booth, and a mini zip line outside that’s $10 regular price. It’s scarier going backwards in the ride and it’s not your typical zip line where you go individually, it’s more like an amusement theme park ride where you go 30 mph backwards and forwards on this 2 seater.
Jade M — Google review
Very informative tour with a great touch of story telling along the way thru the cave. Our tour guide did a great job at taking care of his group and explaining things. Would highly recommend this tour for all especially families. There are many beautiful sites to see and if you like caves you will love this one.
Cj P — Google review
We recently took the Basic Adventure Tour at Inner Space Cavern in Georgetown, and it was a memorable experience for the whole family. The tour lasted about 90 minutes and went deep into the cavern with a knowledgeable and friendly guide. The tour is kid- and toddler-friendly, although keep in mind that strollers and wheelchairs aren’t allowed, and you may need to carry little ones through some parts. There are a few places where you have to duck down, but there aren’t many tight squeezes — just a couple of moments where you wait in small areas while the group regathers, which might be uncomfortable for anyone with claustrophobia. Physically, it’s not overly intense, but if you're out of shape, it might surprise you with the walking involved. One huge plus — kids 3 and under are free! And the staff were super kind and patient, which made a big difference. Overall, it’s a great family activity if you’re looking for something educational and adventurous. Just be prepared to walk and carry the little ones!
Nadeem N — Google review
We are from Houston and came to Georgetown for a long weekend just to visit these caverns. Great experience. We did the normal tour which was about an hour long. Easy pace walk but it is very slippery so make sure to wear appropriate shoes. Can be a little claustrophobic but most of the “rooms” you visit are very large. It’s dim inside but there’s lights all over the place so you’re never in complete darkness. The tour does end in a room were you can sit and take pictures and the guide will ask if you want to experience full darkness. I would suggest yes even if you are scared. Amazing to see how dark it can get. Overall a very worthy experience and our guide Olivia did a great job.

Breakfast restaurant
Sweet Lemon Kitchen is a charming daytime cottage cafe located in the heart of downtown. The restaurant offers a cozy and vintage interior with indoor seating featuring Victorian details, as well as outdoor picnic tables. It focuses on serving organic food made with local ingredients, including gourmet pastries and delicious organic fare. Guests can enjoy a variety of menu items such as fresh pastries, from-scratch cinnamon rolls, kolaches, scrumptious sandwiches, and fresh salads.
Great little restaurant near the Georgetown square, the cinnamon roll was delicious. I also recommend the portobello and goat cheese panini. Serving size is generous and I think the pricing is fair. Food tastes fresh! The lavender lemonade was super refreshing and atmosphere is so cozy. Can’t wait to come back and try out their dinner menu!

Food was absolutely delicious. Steak was tender and moist and perfectly seasoned. Coconut cream pie was so good, just moderate sweet, which is perfect for me. Pumpkin patch latte was better than I expected. It didn't have much cinnamon taste. Ask for their seasonal drinks. I loved the view of the street from sitting outside. Recommend this place!

Perfection in an adorable town! Wonderful iced lattes to start off (we loved their signature lemon lavender and the maple one) and a delicious lunch (croissant sandwich was my favorite and got a croissant to go for later 😋). The blueberry cheesecake for dessert was SO good and a highlight of our whole trip to Texas. We enjoyed sitting outside and even though it was a 90-degree summer day, with the shade trees and mister they have going, we weren’t sweaty or hot at all. Super staff and fast service. Perfect all around and we’ll be back on our next visit!

I have been in search for good cinnamon rolls for the longest and I finally struck gold! This was my second time stopping by Sweet Lemon Kitchen, the first time I went they were sold out of the cinnamon rolls for the day. On my second attempt I decided to come earlier and thankfully the cinnamon rolls were fresh and hot. The cinnamon roll was so good it had me questioning if I’d ever tasted a cinnamon roll so good. It took 3-4 minutes before anyone acknowledged me, but outside of that the visit was pleasant and worth the drive. The price was reasonable and I look forward to coming back to try more items on the menu. The location was easy to find, parking was also readily available. The decor was warm and inviting and felt very welcoming. This location gives small town vibe and I loved it.

I booked a private tea party for a baby shower of 12 people. Sweet Lemon was very easy to work with. I was able to choose from a variety of different sandwiches and desserts. The service was wonderful and the room they provided was lovely. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend Sweet Lemon to someone looking for a unique special event.

We really wanted to enjoy our first dining experience with Sweet Lemon Kitchen. I had heard so many great things online and was really looking forward to eating here. I tried to make a reservation for lunch on a Saturday a week in advance and noticed that they only take reservations after 3 pm each day. I thought this was a little odd but hoped for the best. We arrived at 11:30 and were told it would be an hour and a half wait. We walked around a bit and were called back within 15 minutes, which was a nice surprise. The host hadn't asked if we wanted indoor or outdoor seating. We would have preferred indoor but were sat outdoor. The first thing we were told by our waitress was that they were completely out of cinnamon rolls. Bummer since that's the thing they are known for and what I was looking forward to! I do understand running out, but if it's your most popular item, you should definitely plan for more and then can do more business! 3 people at our table ordered French toast, and it wasn't until after the third person ordered that she also informed us they were out of that. They were also out of most scones. That's a lot of things to be out of by lunchtime on the weekend. I guess it was really busy, we never once had our waters refilled the entire time we were there, so most of us sat without any the whole meal. She didn't come back for long stretches of time and we actually had to go find her to pay since we sat there and were ready to go for 15 minutes after finishing. I think being a little more attentive would really go a long way. Half of our to-go order was missing but the party was ready to leave at this point. This is a really cute place and I hope they can work on making more food portions correct so we all can enjoy what the menu offers!

Sweet Lemon Kitchen is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the staff is so friendly, and the food is always fresh and delicious. But the real star? Their coconut cream pie — hands down the BEST I’ve ever had! Perfectly flaky crust, creamy coconut filling, and the right amount of sweetness. It’s worth the trip every single time!

We had an amazing experience at the winery, and it was all thanks to Patricia! Even on a very busy day with crowds all around, Patricia made our group feel like a top priority. Her warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail were unmatched. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, well-served, and enjoying every moment of our visit. From remembering our preferences to recommending the perfect pairings, Patricia truly made the day special. She’s a gem, and we’re so grateful for the incredible service she provided. Cheers to Patricia!

We stopped by the Grape Creek Vineyards location on the Square in Georgetown recently. We stopped by to pick up our quarterly order from the Heath, sparkling wines, vineyard, which is in the same family of wineries. It was very convenient for us to pick up in Georgetown instead of driving almost to Fredericksburg. It is a nice little shop, and we landed a chair by the window in the member’s area upstairs. We enjoyed a couple glasses of bubbles and some snacks, all was good. Patricia was our server, and she was delightful! Recommend this location for grape Creek. The Heath sparkling wines are very good! :-)

Today while walking the square, I popped in just for a glass of wine with no intentions of joining. Mary was so helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional that she completely won me over—I ended up signing up for a membership on the spot! The atmosphere is beautiful, the service is excellent, and the people are welcoming. I can’t wait to come back, enjoy more great wine, and spend time in such a wonderful environment. Thank you, Mary! I’m so pleased to now be part of the Grape Vineyards community. 🍷✨

I visited Grape Creek on the Square – Tasting Room in Georgetown for the first time today, and it was such a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is calm, the staff is very friendly, and it feels like the perfect stop if you’re visiting this charming town. This is a members-only tasting room, which makes it feel more exclusive, but definitely worth it. I tried the Adoration Sparkling Wine made with Pinot Noir, and I truly enjoyed it. It’s not sweet at all, very clean and refreshing, with a nice balance that makes it easy to drink. As a Pinot Noir lover, I find this grape to be soft and approachable, making it an excellent choice not only for enthusiasts but also for people who are just starting to explore wine. This visit turned out to be a great plan, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone spending time in Georgetown and looking to enjoy a good glass of wine.

Me and my husband have been members here for over a year now and absolutely adore everyone at the Georgetown location, especially Patricia she’s the best!! So happy to come in and spend time with her every week! She also convinced us to join yet another membership (we have 3 now haha) we love it!

I absolutely love this place! Everyone who works here is incredibly kind and knowledgeable—it makes you feel like family. Mostly recently, Mary expertly guided our table of 4 on the best wine choices for each of us, and she let us sample the new reds (which were delicious). Grape Creek’s tasting room is the best in Georgetown, and their Heath Family Brands Club membership is a great value!

We had the pleasure of doing a tasting with Patricia Flenniken over the weekend. This was our first time at the square tasting room but not the first time trying Grape Creek wines. We have experienced many tasting at different wineries and Patricia was top notch. We enjoyed it so much that we signed up to become members and looked forward to future experiences. The hostesses were great as well. Friendly, inviting and made you feel welcomed.

Blue Corn Harvest Bar & Grill in Georgetown offers a relaxed and airy environment with a heated patio, serving Southwestern fare with a touch of Caribbean flavors. The menu features dishes like artichoke, spinach, and bacon gratin dip, spicy Jamaican salad, chicken rellenos, and chicken diablo pasta. Visitors praise the friendly service and efficient staff even during busy times. The modern country decor creates a positive atmosphere for families to enjoy brunch cocktails and unique twists on classic dishes.
Our first time here and we really enjoyed it. We sat at the bar and ordered dinner. Jill provided excellent service and food was delicious and fresh. The restaurant has a relaxed vibe with very friendly staff. Prices are reasonable and it’s definitely a new favorite spot. We ordered chicken fajitas and grilled jerk chicken salad. Both dishes were delicious.

Decklan was fabulous! Gave me a vegetarian menu when I mentioned I didn’t eat meat and recommended the Avocado Nachos, which I highly recommend. The salsa, as he bragged on, was indeed delicious! Go visit and if Decklan is at the bar-sit there and he will take great care of you❣️. The staff and manager visited and also was incredibly attentive! Great food and service. Highly recommend!

Everything was great. It was very comfortable which allowed us to be ourselves and have many laughs. Our server was spot on. The manager came over and introduced herself. We had a 1-year-old in our party and they still provided tremendous service. The only issue was the wait time. But the restaurant was full. To be expected.

Saturday during brunch. I have been before and had a better experience but this time everything was just average. Chicken and waffles were ok, waffles were cold and coffee was warm at best. Probably will try a different place next time in Georgetown. Hopefully this was just an off day.

This Blue Corn harvest Bar and Grill is located W 7th Street just off the main downtown square in Georgetown. There is free parking around the restaurant, opening hours are 11am - 10pm (weekdays) and 10am to 10pm (weekends). There is a nice indoor seating area and menu features a nice selection of home-cooked, traditional Texas and Tex-Mex dishes. Had an early lunch here recently, found the Chicken fried chicken lunch to be very good. Chicken was nicely crispy fried yet still succulent and flavourful. Mash and gravy tasted perfect, as did the grilled vegetables. This was a very good lunch, good portion size and rightly priced as well. Would gladly return for another meal at Blue Corn Harvest based on this recent experience.

Our local Wolf Ranch Town Center is very nice but it seems as though the new owners are hiking up the rental fees for some of our long time beloved small business owners which is causing undue and unnecessary financial stress and burdens. As a devoted customer to quite a few of these smaller businesses, I would like the new owners to take into consideration the years of dedicated serve provided and find ways to help in this area of need.

Fish loves delight!! Scratch kitchen. They have a special treat for first time guests. Loved all the food. It’s fun to hear the wait staff all say hi as you walk in, and of course bye when you leave. Nestled in the heart of Downtown Georgetown, Black Sugar Caffe is a spacious and inviting coffeehouse that perfectly blends comfort with style. With its modern decor featuring purple accents and captivating artwork, this independent café offers an ideal setting for everything from casual meet-ups to focused study sessions. Guests can indulge in a diverse menu that includes expertly crafted espresso drinks, light bites, refreshing smoothies, and even a selection of wines and craft beers—making it a versatile spot for any time of day.
This place is awesome! The vibe is incredible. From the ambient music to the decorations to the old cartoons on the tv, it’s an awesome experience. I will come back for that alone. And then there’s the coffee. I got an iced vanilla sweet crème latte. So delicious. Easily want to order other drinks and try the variety that they have. I loved it. The food was delicious. The only complaint I could make about the visit at all was the food wasn’t all the same temperature. However, we ordered four things all at once and they only had two people on staff that I could see. I’m sure the food would have been warmer had we not ordered so much and it tasted incredible. Highly recommend this spot. So delicious and the best vibes in Georgetown!

BRAND NEW coffee/tea/smoothie/dessert/pastry/tapas/beer and boba spot in Georgetown square! If you're familiar with the area, it's where Cianfrani's used to be, but once you walk in, you won't recognize it at all. The vibe and decor is completely different. It now has a modern, chic and elegant black and purple color way. This place has the most relaxing ambiance. Huge space, lots of seats including sofas and couches and small patio for seating, fast WiFi and an assortment of food and drinks to choose from. New store so had to try a lot of things. They have amazing coffee including standard drinks and even speciality coffee drinks that can all be ordered hot, iced or blended. I got the vanilla sweet cream latte and it was a perfect balance - not too sweet. Also had their spinach feta puff pastry and meat potato puff pastry which they warm up so it's crispy and flakey on the outside and warm and moist on the inside. A new item they added are personal "savory pies" (pizzas) that come in Italian meatball, Thai chicken and caramelized onions. This is embarrassing, but I've tried all three now. Italian has a hearty serving of juicy meatballs on top and caramelized onion comes with cheese and arugula and Thai chicken has a sweet peanut sauce drizzled over. All delish and perfect for a lunch or light dinner. They have ice cream that comes in a scoop Or you can buy in a donut ice cream sandwich. Also coming soon, craft beers and wines!!! Can't wait for that! Needless to say, I'm really excited about this place. I'm stuffed to the brim, caffeinated and can't wait to come back again. Check this place out when you're in the area!!

We've been so excited for Black Sugar to open and it was as good as I was hoping! There are soooo many types of pastries that I had a difficult time deciding what to get. I decided on the nutella croissant and it was absolutely perfect! I also got the cloud latte and it was soooo fun! And tasty! The ambience was super chill and the staff were amazing. I will definitely be back in the near future!

The lady with the god awful pink hair was fighting with her employee at the register. She was raising her voice and putting her employee down while she was trying to complete a transaction. The pink hair lady was on her phone for about 2-3 consecutive minutes whilst a line was forming in front of the register (she would look up and see people and continue back on her phone). Completely unprofessional. The lady at the register was very professional and kind, but the pink haired thing needs a new place of employment. You can see that she was making customers uncomfortable when she was fighting and raising her voice with her employee at the front of the register. We also waited for about 20min before my wife went back up to ask about her coffee. It was never made so we waited even longer to get it. The only positive of this place was that she ordered a regular and the pink haired thing gave her a large as compensation for waiting longer than expected. Service only received a star because of the lady at the register was very kind.

We stopped in for coffee drinks and i must say Black Sugar does a much better job of making frozen blended coffee drinks then the previous coffee shop at this location. My wife and only remaining el jefe loved her mocha frozen drink and i enjoyed helping her drink it. I enjoyed a quality hot cappucino. We shared a jumbo sized chocolate chip cookie that was slightly smaller than a dinner plate.

Came in this morning for breakfast. First time here after recently moving to Georgetown. Loved it and will be a returning customer. I had an iced coffee, Topo Chico, and a sausage kolachi. The iced coffee was delicious and the kolachi one of the best I've had. It had a kick to it (jalapeno) and the bread was warm and soft. Staff were very friendly and quick with getting the order out. I highly recommend this place.

600 Degrees Pizzeria, located in Georgetown, is a popular spot known for its creative pizza pies and variety of craft brews. The cozy eatery offers a bustling atmosphere and a range of topping configurations to choose from. Customers can enjoy the option of ordering two different types of pizza on a single pie, making it an excellent choice for groups looking to share beer and pie. The ambiance is enjoyable, with the option to sit at the bar even if you don't drink alcohol.
Amazing pizza, beer, and wine selections. Atmosphere is amazing and community feel where everyone is friendly. All I would add is water misters to the outdoor seating to keep us cooler during these humid days. 10/10 regardless, will def be back soon!

It was a beautiful day in Georgetown so we sat outside on the covered patio, where it was much quieter than inside. The pizza was delicious, crust was nice, toppings were nice and we added mushrooms and the beer choice was excellent, I had a Shiner Bock.

Great experience! I dined alone in the middle of a Sunday. I was very surprised by the huge pizza slice- I guess that’s a specialty. I will absolutely be back with family. Excellent quality. It’s one of those places you want to be a part of often. Really enjoyed my chat with the gal who seemed to be the manager.

We absolutely loved the pizza it was delicious! However, the freshly baked garlic knots were quite dry. Overall, though, the pizza made for a great experience.

Finding this place wasn't hard after looping around to get parking, as I looked for the entrance as there were two, but once I got to the right one as the place was a little busy but the staff was amazing and got a table inside on the second entrance where the bar was at. I started off with the meatball as well as the gourmet cheese bread. The meatball was very seasoned as the sauce was nice and chunky. The herbs were fresh as the bread with the dish was delicious as the parmesan just gave it the extra hit. The gourmet cheese bread definitely surprised me as I saw they used Tillamook cheese, I would have thought they would have used something locally or something from Italy giving with the majority of the high-quality ingredients but Tillamook is one a great quality choices from Oregon to use as well that cheese pull left a smile on my face. I got a slice of the four cheese pizzas to give it a try as the big slice was a nice take of New york style, and the crust was cooked just right as it had a wonderful crunch and it wasn't chewy. I ended up taking home two pies. One was the pirate, and the presidio just without mushroom as both pizzas were amazing, and the next day, the crust not rubbery or chewy, still with that soft chew and crunch with the outside layer. This place took me by surprised as it can be costly and not in everyone budgets for many visits through the week, but with the high quality of ingredients, it's definitely once in a while visits to enjoy it and savor every bite. I know this will be on my list, and the names for the dishes of each pizza are California inspired. It did give me a little California vibe from the Bay Area. This East Bay guy definitely enjoyed the little details.

Beer, pizza and tv, what else could you want? Many creative curated pizzas or build your own with a nice list of toppings. I was hungry and ate a bite or two of salad before I remembered to take a photo.

This place seems to be the most popular pizza place in Georgetown. There’s a lot of positives for sure. The beer on tap menu is awesome and our server Noah was great. We sat outside because there was no room inside left. It’s a pretty small dining area inside. We were there at 1 PM on a weekday. We each got a slice of pizza. The slices are really large, so you likely won’t need to order more than that. we got the San Jose and Presidio. The biggest critique I have is the slice was so large. it was hard to eat it even when I folded mine. The crust was good. I wish they would’ve used fresh jalapeños instead of pickled ones. Seems like the only parking is street side. We walked there and it’s located in the downtown area, which is such a great spot.

The staff and people were all very friendly, had good vibes for a small place. The pizza (slices are huge!) wings r wings(meh) a great beer selection as well. My SO liked the place also.

If you're in search of a relaxed yet vibrant evening, Barrels & Amps is the perfect destination. Nestled in Georgetown, this lively bar and taproom showcases some of the finest local talent with live music that spans country and folk genres. Sip on an ice-cold beer or indulge in one of their signature cocktails while enjoying a diverse lineup of entertainment that varies nightly—from DJ sets to karaoke and even dueling pianos.
My husband and I stumbled upon this place by pure coincidence and we are so glad we did! We arrived on a Saturday around 11p, there was a nice crowd but nothing too crazy. The drinks were fairly priced and the dj played some good music. We greatly enjoyed it and had a wonderful time!! Will definitely be coming back!

Disappointed. Second time at Barrels & Amps…first time was awesome…came back and unbelievable. Food was good but service really sucked! As you can see the bartender (Bethany) spent most all her time sitting at a table. Had to literally get her attention just to get service. When she brought the food out, she didn’t offer silverware or condiments. Even after you get her attention, it would take 5 to 10 minutes just for her to get to you. Terrible customer service. I won’t be back.

I went on a Friday night for Dueling Pianos and it was SO fun! The artists were great with the crowd and very talented. The mocktail I got was delicious! And the fried pickle fries were yummy! The Caesar salad was pretty good and my date enjoyed the Baja tacos, but the sliders, while yummy, had too-soft buns (they would be better if stuck on a griddle for a few minutes).

Stopped by for a quick meal while in town. Great service and great beer. The atmosphere was good, they have lots of events. The deviled eggs are an acquired taste so watch out. The Chicken Sandwich was good but the breast was lacking in volume. I would come back and recommend.

We needed a place to throw a private party on a Thursday evening. Most places quoted us double what Barrels & Amps quoted us… One place even quoted us 13X more!! Barrels & Amps provided a closed off section of their bar that features a stage, plenty of lighting, seating, bartenders, and food menus for our party of 30-40, all at a reasonable price. The owner, Dina, was extremely communicative, kind, respectful, thorough, and transparent. She was a class act and said/did everything that she promised. Our party was a success! We were able to hire a Karaoke KJ, he was able to set up on stage. We were allowed to customize the lighting (they had so many options) and the service was IMPECCABLE. I mean, the bartenders, & bar hands were extremely friendly, kept the venue clean as we ate/drank, they even remembered many of our names. I would not have chosen another place for this event, & will be sure to keep them in mind for future events. If you’re looking for a private event, they are fantastic. (And the covered Well makes for an intriguing conversation starter!)

Taco Cabana is a vibrant chain restaurant that offers a wide array of traditional Mexican dishes. Known for their flavorful and diverse menu, they serve up delicious classics such as salsa and tortillas made from scratch. Recently, I had the opportunity to try their chicken Cascadia, which proved to be satisfying. It was my first time dining at this establishment, but based on my experience, Taco Cabana demonstrates an expertise in delivering tasty and authentic Mexican cuisine.
We just moved here from out of state and new to the area. We decided to give this place a try despite the negative reviews. We were pleasantly impressed! We were very happy with the service and the food. We placed our order “to go,” but next time we will opt to dine in. The restaurant is very clean with very cute decor! It felt warm and inviting the minute we walked in and it also smelled like delicious Mexican food. Marilyn took our order and she was very sweet and helpful with regard to menu options, especially helpful since it was our first time ever dining at a Taco Cabana. Our “To Go” order was ready quickly and they packaged everything to keep it warm for our trip home. The food was delicious! They allowed me to order the chicken tacos with one hard shell and one soft shell since I was having trouble deciding. My husband said his beef burrito had good flavor. The chicken fajita quesadilla was also very good.

I am writing to express my significant dissatisfaction regarding an experience I had at your Georgetown, Texas location on the evening of October 2, 2025. As a customer residing in Jarrell, Texas, I made a dedicated 20-minute drive to your Georgetown establishment to place an order. Upon my return home, I discovered that the order I received was prepared incorrectly. At approximately 9:20 PM, I contacted the Georgetown restaurant to report the error. I was informed by the staff that the only option for a correction would be to return to the location that very evening. Given the considerable distance I had already traveled, this would have required an additional 40-minute round trip, which was neither feasible nor a reasonable expectation for me to undertake again that night. The staff were unwilling to offer any alternative solutions, such as arranging a credit or allowing a correction on a subsequent day. I was profoundly disappointed by this lack of practical resolution and the general unhelpfulness of the staff during my call. This experience left me feeling that my patronage and inconvenience were not adequately considered. Consequently, I intend to escalate this matter to your corporate office to provide a detailed account of the service I received from the night crew on October 2, 2025. I believe this incident warrants review to ensure that such customer service experiences are addressed and improved upon.

I have no idea what entices people to eat from here. It claims to be a Mexican restaurant, but they have no idea what an enchilada is. So very disappointing. I ordered food very early this morning, had to wait 1.5 hours for it to be delivered, and then I pulled out these gross folded tortillas that were supposed to be enchiladas and a paper bag of sauces pouring out of it (I had to throw all of the sauces away, since i was in a rush to leave for work by then). This was NOT AT ALL how anyone should have to start their day! I'll NEVER order from here again, and I'll be calling for a refund.
Monica G — Google review
This location really needs some help. Even when it's empty, you’ll be waiting at the counter for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledges you. The service is consistently slow, whether you're a customer or a delivery driver. For a fast food restaurant, you should at least be able to eat the food you pay for, but that’s not always the case here. Portions are tiny, food is often a mess, and things spill inside the bag, ruining the rest of the order. The quality doesn’t come close to justifying the price. I am not happy paying for that and I don't like delivering those messes to people that order. I’ve given this place multiple chances, but it’s always the same experience. Plenty of other locations don’t seem to have these issues, but unfortunately, this is the only one in town. Definitely needs improvement.

I had to order 11 boxes of the dozen breakfast tacos and they absolutely did a great job! I called the number listed and went through the catering number like it advised but they never called me back after reaching out 3 separate times and leaving a voicemail. So I decided to call the store directly and spoke with the manager and she made sure that all the tacos were ready for pick at 6:45 AM to feed the HS football team for the very next morning! The manager was very professional and she made sure we were taken care of. She was absolutely incredible and deserves recognition! Thank you again to the manager at this store.

I have been coming to this location for 10 years now at least 4-5 times a week. I also have been getting the eggs mexicana breakfast plate at Taco Cabana since the mid 90's. I just want to say that Domacio and his team are very dedicated and passionate to give the best service possible. They have treated me nicely every time I visit. I highly recommend this location.

I went in today, waited 5 to 10 minutes and not one person greeted me. They never planned on assisting me. This became abundantly clearer the longer I waited. I could tell they were busy with drive through. That’s also why I came inside, to skip the drive thru line. I could also tell they were making the drive-thru priority and poo-pooing dine-in customers. Many in the back prepping the food and the one with the head-peace looked at me, direct eye contact, and still said nothing to me. Not even a “we’ll be with you in a minute.” I went in around the 10am to 11am O’clock hour. They were just going to keep letting me stand at the front waiting for someone to take my order. I confronted what looked like the lead and she suggested I take my butt, place myself in my car, and go through drive-thru. (This is just my own paraphrasing, but it is the gist of what she basically said.) I left. I’ll never go back.

I'm surprised I have never been here before! It's got a 50s theme. I shared a Cinnamon Roll, ended up taking one home with me. Highly recommend this restaurant. Our server named Sky was just adorable and a great waitress. We'll be going back soon with my ladies group.

What a great diner experience! You get your moneys worth, the food portions are huge. Even the lemonade is meant to be shared. Highly recommend the chicken fried steak with onion rings and corn beef hash. The chicken fried steak and onion rings are coated with light batter. They are really tasty but a bit salty for me. Nevertheless, they are still tasty. You will need to wait for a table for large parties, but for 2 people, we were able to seat at the counter with very little wait time. The biscuits are delicious and must try their coconut cream pie! Highly recommend this cafe with great service and food!

5 Stars – A Must Stop in Georgetown! Monumental Cafe absolutely lives up to the hype and then some. We stopped in after hearing great things, and every bite proved the praise was well earned. We started with Anna’s Granola: Greek yogurt, fresh berries, crunchy granola, and a drizzle of honey. It was light, flavorful, and right up my alley. The biscuits with sausage gravy were rich and comforting, and the eggs benedict were perfectly cooked and seasoned just right. One of the highlights was the mimosa flight. Every juice was squeezed fresh in-house and you could taste the difference. The strawberry and watermelon were muddled to perfection, and the pulpy grapefruit and orange mimosas were bold and refreshing. We also had the pearl sugar waffles (phenomenal), the egg taco, and a side of sausage and over-medium egg, all delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We will definitely be back the next time we’re passing through Georgetown!

We make it a point to stop at Monument Cafe whenever we are in Georgetown. This is one of the best cafes in central Texas. The menu is fairly small but that allows Monument to focus on getting everything on it right. Breakfast is the star meal here. Everything from standard eggs and bacon to stuffed breakfast burritos (I love those) , breakfast tacos and migas. Coffee is smooth and kept full. Lunch is mainly sandwiches and burgers. They look delicious but I can't ever seem to not order breakfast here. We usually take a cinnamon roll with us for dessert later. They are so cinnamony ( I know that's not a real word). Make sure you check the board next to the hostess on the way in for specials of the day. Plenty of parking in the lot next door but street construction makes it a little challenging to reach the restaurant. Definitely worth the trip for breakfast or lunch. Monument Cafe closes at 3PM.

Great spot for weekday brunch! My grilled chicken and fries were amazing and our server Leia was very kind and attentive. The chicken comes with an herb butter that enhances the dish without overpowering it and the fries are Whataburger size and shape but with a much nicer crisp. We were sat immediately as it was a Monday around 11 AM and our food came out hot under 15 minutes after we ordered it. Come early for the coveted cinnamon rolls, as they are gone by 11 AM!

Founded by Chef Jorge Alcocer, who honed his skills at Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, this contemporary eatery offers an array of delightful dishes inspired by various regions of Latin America.
My daughter and I went for lunch to spend some time together. The interior is a very nice setting, and it’s in a perfect location. The menu looked so good online, so I wanted to try the yucca fries. Server wasn’t very friendly, and the food wasn’t anything to go back for except the yucca fries, and the chicken and goat cheese empanadas, which were pretty good.

I have been meaning to go to this restaurant since we moved to Georgetown 5 years ago. I can’t believe I waited this long. The place is brightly painted red with red chairs which is very welcoming. The owners, Jorge (also the cook) and Aracely (his wife) were fantastic. They were friendly and nice. Their son also helped - so it’s a family affair…. The food was fabulous- we had appetizers: empanadas, salad and the 3 ceviches served with fried plantains and chips which were amazing! The flavors of the ceviches were delicious and all 3 were univque. I would go back and order this every time. This restaurant is definitely a gem in the GT square - highly recommended.

Wow! This food is soooo good. We grazed on four different appetizers and didn't even make it to entrees on this visit. The people are so friendly and the food came out hot, fast, and perfect. Great job! We are definitely coming back to knock out some of those entrees!

Great place! I loved the mood of sunday brunch, you can take from the buffet with fruit, eggs, bread... plus 2 options a la carte. The portions have perfect size, you don't feel hungry once you finish, yet not too big as often in Texas, the menu is pretty concrete, not too much options, but with enough for different preferences, pet friendly, you can go with your pets if you seat outside. All the staff was so friendly, warm, educated, high standards of service! in special our server ANA.

What an amazing dinner we had! Service is great. It’s a small place but there was no wait. Went around 5ish on a Wednesday. They have a full bar and nice beer selection. The yuca fries are great! The seabass was out of this world. So good. Hubby had the Beef Arepas and they were good too but don’t think we will get those again. Parking is pretty tight since it’s in the downtown area but not bad. Highly recommend.

Update: June 2025 They are moving as the lease was lost. We hadn't been back in a while. Everything looked the same. However it appears the portions are smaller. There was a lot more decorations on the food covering the main proteins. The scallops were good. The beef ribs were very small. The chicken was small, dry and overcooked. Update: August 2023 We haven't been in a while. We took the lady there for her birthday. The service was great. The food tasted wonderful. The food presentation is beautiful. The atmosphere is nice. Update May 2021. 2nd visit. Delicious again. We started with a ceviche mix with plantain chips - very tasty, really like the whole corn kernel crunch. Next was the shrimp croquets, soft inside with a bit of fry on the outside, with sauce on a slaw (ate all of that too). Very nice. Then we had the beef empanadas, which my lady and son liked, but I have never been a fan of anywhere. Then there were some pork sliders with avocado and slaw - cooked perfectly. Finally some pork chop Milanese. We thought we would see pork chops, but instead it looked like a schnitzel. Very good and topped with some amazing vegetables. We realized that Latin food is not Mexican or TexMex again. I had a craving for some hot sauce or salsa, but this is a different kind of food. We didn't ask for any. We will go back. Late 2020: We visited Fuego Latino Gastropub in Georgetown for the first time last weekend. They opened some time during 2020 covid. We didn't know they came to time, from Round Rock as I recall. They are right on the square on Austin Ave. We were seated up front near the window so we could people watch. There was enough space between the tables and the servers wore masks. The restaurant is a family run business with the lady running the front and the gent running the kitchen. We met the owner Araceli. She was friendly and informative of their venture to Georgetown. A few of her sons were also cleaning tables. The food style is some what unique. It is not Tex-Mex or Spanish. It is more a fusion of Brazilian Mexican and Spanish I suppose - Latin. The three of us shared food. We started with a salad of kale and slivered apples. It was great and tasty. The next starter was chicken croquets. They were on a slaw with some dollops of red and green sauce. My lady got a taste of heat but my son and I didn't, again tasty. We had three entrees - pork ribs crusty skin but tender on a slaw, a long plate of scallops with some fancy sauce, and an amazing arroz con pollo that I have never seen before. There were three pieces of chicken topped with a vegetable, bean, rice and sauce mixture. Very good. Each plate from the appetizer to the final chocolate cake desert was presented beautifully. We were impressed. We are glad they are in Georgetown and hope they keep up the quality and do very well. We will go back again.

Love this place. Small spot with great food, drinks and atmosphere right on the Georgetown square. The food is so flavorful and always will prepared. The staff which largely consists of family members of the owner are always very friendly. It's well worth a visiting is always great! ***Update...*** On our most recent visit we were a little disappointed at the food. Two of us opened our duck enchiladas to find little to no meat inside. The prices have also climbed. While we still like this place, the last meal left room for improvement. Hopefully it was just a bad night and not a sign of cutting back quality and raising prices to make more money.

With its charming patio, fancy cocktails, and high-end liquor selection, it's an ideal spot for enjoying drinks and bites.
We celebrated our son's birthday here, I reserved a table in advanced. The place and the ambiance of this restaurant is unique and we loved it! Food is quite nice but for me who loves to eat out and cook, I'm expecting more flavors. I hope they will add more food selections for dinner. In addition, the customer service is great. It was a pleasant experience hoping to go back with more food choices. 😊

The atmosphere was both vibrant and eclectic, creating a lively dining experience. Our server was not only joyful but also energetic, making our first visit memorable with her excellent recommendations. We began with the whipped honey goat cheese, which was absolutely phenomenal. My wife’s salmon was cooked to perfection—flaky and flavorful. To top it all off, we indulged in the Bourbon Blondie for dessert, and it was pure sweet delight. This place is truly a gem, and I can't recommend it highly enough!

I think I ate at Golden Rule the week it opened years ago but I never went back. No specific reason, I just prefer going out in Austin when I’m in town. But I’ve recently been back on several occasions. It’s hard for me to give it 5 stars in comparison to other spots in ATX but when considering options in Georgetown, this would be my go to. The ambiance couldn’t be better. Really cute place, great bar, very inviting. The food is more like a 4.5 but, again, compared to other Georgetown establishments, it’s my favorite. The service is generally good. Sitting at the bar one time by myself, I had a not so stellar experience but, all in all, can’t complain. Had a lovely server when we went in last night. If you’re looking for a hang out spot in GTown with decent food and fun, eclectic atmosphere, I would suggest Golden Rule.

We had our rehearsal dinner at Golden rule, and they were absolutely amazing from the staff, to the food, to the atmosphere it was absolutely beautiful and we could not have asked for better. We booked the private event, space, and they gave us the entire day to decorate because there wasn’t another event. that was beyond helpful, and they provided table cloths and napkins, and honestly everything we needed. The food came out so swiftly, and when we needed it, and staff was consistently walking around getting any extra plates, and just being amazing for the event. The bartenders were absolutely awesome, and the drinks were quick, delicious, and exactly what we wanted. I absolutely loved their death by 1000 berries mocktail, but people could not get over how awesome the Lavender Haze was 10/10 recommend. We will absolutely be returning again, and highly recommend anybody in Georgetown to come by or host a gathering, reception, rehearsal dinner, etc. The prices are great, it’s definitely a Georgetown staple!!

This place is the best!!! I had the Life’s a Peach, it was perfect. For dinner I had the Wagyu Beef Stroganoff. The pasta was home made in Texas somewhere, very good. We brought our giant dog who was allowed outside. My boyfriend had a steak with seasoned butter. It was all terrific. Highly recommend.

Ended up getting their burger after my buddy swore it was his absolute favorite and the best he has ever had so I had some high hopes. Honestly it was a damn good burger. Only critique is it was smaller than I expected for the price but the flavor made up for it. Super juicy and the pepper jam or sauce they put on it was phenomenal. Had a nice little kick that worked perfectly with the cheese and elk meat. Fries were solid too — crispy shoe strings with that perfect crunch. We also grabbed a couple appetizers. The brussels sprouts were perfectly crispy with a nice sweet glaze and the shishito peppers had great crunch and just the right amount of heat with a chipotle sauce that tied it together. Cool little spot with a laid back vibe that’s perfect for a low key lunch with the bros.

Wanted to eat downtown. Very lively area. This spot looked promising. I was very disappointed. Was initially seated inside and it was dreary. There were people at the bar but there were zero televisions and very low music. I quickly changed my mind and decided to sit outside. There were people with dogs and there was a hint of some pretty good music (ie. Fiona apple). Thats a good vibe but that’s about all I got here. Service was painfully slow. The server was inattentive and forgot to bring staples such as water and neglected to check in after food arrived. I’m not looking for a doting waiter but how about some basic service? Appetizer was okay. Drinks were interesting but just okay. I ordered a turkey club which came in around $17. It was toast with lettuce, tomato, bacon (tasty) and processed turkey. I could have made this at home for much less. Come on man! Plus they were stingy in the turkey. It was a sad sandwich. The inattentive waiter was quick to bring the bill and ask for an undeserved tip. Not coming back here. Lots of potential but lots of pretentiousness as well.

From the beginning our hostess, Bri, was very accommodating. Things happened that were beyond her control however she gave us updates and made sure we were comfortable going as far to secure us private seating next to the bar while we waited for our table. Our Waiter Jackson was equally as amazing. Very personable and hella funny. There is a bit of a wait for drinks and food. However I had to remind myself that everything is made fresh and quality takes time. If you are wanting a quick drop in dinner this might not be the place for you however if you are wanting excellent food made with quality ingredients provided by personable staff this is a place for you. With prices of everything going up it matters how and where we spend our dollars. I suggest coming and enjoying the atmosphere but not when you have a strict timeline you need to stick to because it’s worth the wait.

Bar
Nestled in the heart of Georgetown, El Monumento is a delightful haven for lovers of traditional Mexican cuisine. This spacious restaurant boasts an inviting interior courtyard and patio, complemented by an open kitchen that adds to the vibrant atmosphere. With a focus on home-style dishes crafted from scratch using only the freshest ingredients, diners can indulge in favorites like Queso El Mon and guacamole while enjoying stunning views of the San Gabriel River.
What a fabulous restaurant! Every little architectural detail has been thought of so this building will really impress you. Some of the coolest things are the clerestory lighting and another really cool thing is the overhang on the back deck has light coming down from above also. I think the architecture is the coolest part of the experience but the food is amazing too. It is basically upper end Mexican food and the service is really good. Everything on the menu is cooked to perfection and you won't be disappointed!

Very nice building, landscape, and views off of the deck. The drinks were very flavorful and had many neat options of different types. Cucumber/jalapeno was good. Loved the chips and most of the different salsa's. The steak was cooked perfect, the chicken tacos were tasty. Everything was good. However, almost every dish was missing something and was blah on the Texmex season side. It seems odd that we salted everything. But were putting salsas or cream on food to give it "something more". Our waitress was great with suggesting gluten and dairy free items for my wife. We would come back to try more items.

I had high hopes for this place but was sorely disappointed. If you’re in the mood for authentic Mexican, this is not the place. Typical items that you would expect to be included, such as salsa and chips, rice and beans, are all an up charge. We ordered fajitas for two but only received 4 very small street taco sized tortillas, so we had about half of our meat left and had to eat it plain since the waitress never came back around for us to ask for more tortillas. The flavor of the fajitas was underwhelming, there were not many vegetables, and the rice smelled, looked and tasted like uncle Ben’s microwave rice. We ordered the salsa flight but our bowl of chips was half-filled with the broken tiny pieces you’d find at the bottom of your chip bag, and since our waitress didn’t come back around we weren’t able to finish the salsa we paid extra for. Will not be returning.

Great service from our waiter during Sunday brunch. Salsas very good esp the tomatillo. Black bean dip good but needed salt. Nice touch in guacamole with fresh fruit and pepitas. Chips warm and crunchy. Food was fresh and presented well but needed salt. Prices too high, though, compared to other restaurants.

We have passed this beautiful establishment multiple times, however had never been able to make it in due to their hours. We finally got the chance, and strolled through on a day out on the town. The environment and service were amazing. It’s a beautiful location with lots of photo ops, and chances to interact with nature on a great day. Being from San Antonio, I was looking for more of a casual menu and the one they have is slightly upscale. We settled with drinks and the homemade salsas which we tasty. The frozen margarita wasn’t the best. I would recommend getting it on the rocks because the way it’s blended is super watered down and icy. If you’re looking for Mexican food with a twist, you’re looking for the right spot.

This is the crown jewel of Georgetown. Their ambience and decor is simple and perfect. If you are lucky you can eat with a riverside view. Their menu is small but well crafted. Everything tasted amazing starting with tortilla chips. They are amazing. We ordered Chicken fajitas and tres leches cake. El Monumento is the best!!!

Beautiful inside and outside seating! Service was great! Went in with a group of 5 and we all loved our dishes for the most part! Was a little pricy at about $25-35 a person but would definitely come again :)

El Monumento is a beautiful restaurant that serves good Mexican food. They have seating inside and outside in a courtyard or on a patio. This place looks incredible. The decor and layout is authentic and beautiful and the design aesthetically looks amazing. Definitely top notch! The food is good and we had the barbacoa street tacos, tortilla soup and the kids had the quesadilla and an enchilada. The barbacoa tacos were way too greasy and were a different type of barbacoa from what I’m used to. The tortilla soup was good, but less soupy and very hearty. The margarita was ok, but could remove or lighten the syrup. The place was nice and clean and they clearly take care in its appearance which is great. The staff was also excellent. Ashley was our server and she was very friendly, attentive and accommodating. Overall the appearance and experience of this restaurant screams high end food, but the food fell short. I would totally recommend this place for someone to visit. It’s beautiful and inviting!

Despite having sampled only a fraction of their extensive menu, I can confidently say that Galaxy Bakery is well worth the detour, even if it means an hour's drive out of your way.The star of the show, without a doubt, is their Boston cream croissant. It's not just a pastry; it's an experience. The croissant's flaky, buttery layers perfectly complement the silky smoothness of the cream filling, striking a harmonious balance that dances on the palate. Each bite is a testament to the bakery's commitment to quality and craftsmanship, making it clear why this particular treat stands out. What sets Galaxy Bakery apart isn't just its exceptional offerings but also the warm, inviting atmosphere that makes every visit a pleasure. This place is it, y'all! Galaxy Bakery is the BEST bakery in Central Texas. Located just off the Square in Georgetown, this cozy family-owned bakery offers the best baked goods. From their pastries and cheesecakes to their cookies and cupcakes, Galaxy Bakery dishes up a spectacular treat. Nothing compares. They offer a variety of goodies: cookies, pies, scones, many croissants, cheesecakes, cupcakes, cakes, cannolis, cinnamon rolls, quiches, and muffins. Here, everything is homemade, and I've tried almost everything they offer. I'm not kidding. I've had it all. It's THAT good, y'all! All their goodies are baked to perfection and are almost a sinful delight. I have so many favorites at the bakery that it's difficult to pick their top treat. They rotate the flavors of many of their items, so they always offer something "new." I stop in and grab a few goodies once a week. The cheesecake offerings are the most scrumptious. They prepare them perfectly, creamy, and bursting with flavor. They offer a variety of cheesecake flavors full of deliciousness. The Coconut Cheesecake is one of my top favorites. Another top favorite of mine is their Boston Cream Croissants. Oh my goodness... it's absolutely a delight. Drizzled with chocolate and full of out-of-this-world creamy goodness, it's to die for. The bakery also offers coffee, tea, and sodas for your beverage choices. They offer outstanding customer service, and treat you as if you are part of the family. Everyone there is absolutely wonderful. It's just a terrific place! Five Stars to Galaxy Bakery for exceptional customer service, a wonderful cozy establishment, and for their outstanding baked goods. Stop in for a visit and grab yourself a little treat, but be careful, you may become an addicted customer as I have 😊. It's simply the best.

Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Georgetown's Historic District, Roots Bistro is a vibrant hangout that perfectly marries craft brews, artisanal coffee, and mouthwatering American cuisine. This family-owned gem has been delighting locals for about a decade with its homemade pizzas, sandwiches, tacos, and fresh salads. The airy two-story venue not only serves up delicious food but also hosts live music almost every night of the week.
Roots is in the downtown square of Georgetown in a building that is over 100 years old. Parking is challenging around the square, but it is worth finding a spot. The restaurant is a large open space with a second level balcony with additional tables and seating. We stopped by on a Thursday afternoon and there was only one table occupied, so plenty of open seating. There is a small stage by the front door, and I can tell that this place can get crowded, especially when they have live music. The menu has a great variety of choices, salads, appetizers, tacos, sandwiches, burgers, and pizza. I got the El Cubano sandwich, and my wife got the California Tacos with slow braised pork and a side salad. Wes, the restaurant manager, was friendly and talked with us about the food and history of the building and restaurant. We enjoyed talking with him and he is also clearly great in the kitchen because both meals were excellent! The Cuban sandwich had slow braised pulled pork and was topped with Swiss cheese, pickles, horseradish aioli, and Dijon on a Cuban roll. The pork was tender and juicy, and the Cuban roll was pressed, so the outside was slightly crunchy, perfect to hold in all the juiciness of the sandwich. I would definitely get this sandwich again. My wife loved her tacos. The salsa gave the right level of spices to take this taco over the top. She gave me a bite and I almost didn’t want to give it back to her! A lot of restaurants out there are making some type of taco plate, but this is one of the best tacos that we have tried. Even the side salad was excellent, and the ranch dressing was great. Wes told us that the dressing, like almost all items, are made in house. We can’t wait to come back and try the pizza, and also bring our entire family. If that is not enough to convince you to try Roots, let’s talk about price. The El Cubano sandwich was $12.00 and the California Taco plate was $10.50. This place is excellent value for your money, especially compared to other places in the Georgetown area. My wife and I spent more money on two subs at a sandwich shop than we spent here. I really give credit to Roots for working to keep prices reasonable while providing fresh and delicious food! Go to Georgetown square, find a parking spot, and go to Roots. Based on our experience, you will not be disappointed. Highly recommended.

Roots on the square in Georgetown had some good BBQ chicken pizza. The queso was okay, same with the burger. The live music was a little too loud (didn’t know he was going to be there) but overall pretty good spot.

The food tasted great. But it took forever to get to us.. we ordered a pizza and the cook got it wrong so it had to go back and we had to wait for a new one to be made... the salad was ok, not the best.
Cherish S — Google review
This place has a beautiful ambiance. The live music makes it the perfect spot to unwind on a Sunday evening. The pizza was amazing—the bread was soft, and the flavors were spot on. I personally would have preferred more veggies on the pizza, but overall, the beer and pizza combo paired with the music made for a truly enjoyable experience. Definitely a great spot for a relaxing night out!

Stopped in for a couple of 3 dollar tacos. Stayed for 4 hours. Staff was great, fun and personable without being intrusive. Tacos were fantastic and one of the best Cuban sandwiches I have had since leaving Florida. Definitely on our future rotation.
Craig A — Google review
the food is impossible to order as there are no servers you have to scream at a bar-tender for that because they over crank the tiny stage where they have a live band destroy everyone with massive amounts of hearing damage, not clean, not friendly, very cramped, only out of towners that don't know the risks and hearing damage cased here would ever go here. Highly recommend

I love this place! West and Vicky make this place thrive. Tuesday’s are karaoke with DJ Gavin! Plus $2 tacos. Wednesday is open mic night! Great for the whole family with an upstairs and back patio. They always have the beer I like and the staff know you’re name. I am bringing more and more people here to meet some of the amazing people that I’ve been so Lucky to meet. This small town place has made me believe in restaurants again! Ok I think I come here too often. Y’all there is an upstairs and a back out door seating area. DJ has changed but super great time. If you get the pizza you must try the kitchen sink!!!

Goodfolks, a newly established restaurant in Georgetown, offers a delightful dining experience with its array of Southern comfort food. The menu features starters like white pimiento cheese and Bacon Wrapped Andouille Lollipops, as well as traditional dishes such as Shrimp and Grits. The establishment is known for its warm hospitality and classic Southern dishes like chicken & waffles and the Southern Comfort Burger. Located on the square, this airy restaurant serves breakfast and lunch, specializing in fried chicken baskets.
Had a really great experience today. We’ve been here multiple times, but we finally had our “oh damn” moment. Shanna was our server and she was manning the entire floor so I was insanely impressed with how attentive she was. She gave us great recommendations and we went with them. Holy hell we are glad we did. The food was amazing (chicken tenders are a little comically large, but I’d rather that than comically small). Dipping sauces were SO good and yes, we ordered pretty much every sauce available. Shanna was also delightfully funny and kind. We had a great time today.

This was a nice restaurant in downtown Georgetown. The food was pretty good and if you want fried chicken, this is your spot. I have different types of meals, but I think they mostly revolve around chicken. We got the fried pickles went great too! I wish they offered a barbecue or hot sauce, dipping sauce. Similar to what you would get on hot wings. I really like the layout of the restaurant and it was nice and clean with a really cool design. I feel the service was pretty good and overall we gave the food a thumbs up.

Love this place! We had a terrific experience here when we came for lunch on a Thursday. The space — a lovingly preserved corner of the 1896 Lockett Building on Georgetown’s square — is inviting, bright and airy, with a central room surrounded by a wraparound balcony. Our server greeted us warmly and brought our drinks promptly. The full bar has a nice choice of craft beers on tap, cocktails, and wine. The menu also has lots of enticing choices; so many things sounded good! We ordered the chicken salad sandwich with sweet potato fries and the Fried Chicken Salad (pieces of fried chicken breast on mixed greens with bits of bacon and blue cheese crumbles), and both were absolutely delicious! We couldn’t resist the dessert special, Strawberry Buttermilk Cake with fresh berries, crème anglaise, and ice cream, and oh my goodness gracious, it was divine! We told the server it needs to be on the regular menu and she said that’s the plan. From the lunch crowd that was there that day, this is a very popular place, and based on our experience, it certainly merits that. We will be back again and again.

This was our first stop at Georgetown. We were drawn to the inviting interior and the mouthwatering food photographs. Our experience was thoroughly positive. The staff was friendly and attentive, making our dining experience enjoyable. It was a Thursday evening, and the restaurant wasn’t overly crowded. We opted for the made-to-order fried chicken, which arrived after a 20-25 minute wait. However, the wait was worth it, as the chicken was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant for a delightful lunch or a casual catch-up with friends or family. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area. All the food we ordered was tasty, and we managed to finish everything on our plates.

A really cool spot for dinner in a historic building on the square of Georgetown. The sandwiches were really good and there was a solid drink selection as well. The sidewinder fries were also a nice surprise. Service was a little slow to start, but it got quicker after our drinks were eventually served.

Went to the restaurant for a birthday celebration on Saturday afternoon. The brunch menu only being served was a disappointment. I had the weirdest BBQ shrimp I've ever eaten. Not sure where the recipe came from but it was sweet not savory. The shrimp were good but served on a toast with mayo ??? Bizzare and not to my liking. Expecting a completely different dish. If you go get the chicken apparently that is the restaurant's best dish. Abby our server was delightful. Make a reservation! The line was to the door. This is not a large group place the 6 of us were wedged into a booth too small . The biscuits were hard and dry served with compote and honey did not make them any less tuff or dry. They do have drink specials at brunch. Breakfast was probably a better choice.

El Charrito is a long-standing Mexican restaurant that has been serving up delicious meals since 1992. The unassuming setting and prompt, accurate service make it a favorite among patrons. The Chile Colorado pork tips in red chile are particularly recommended for their consistent quality and amazing flavors. Even though the dining area is closed on Sundays, customers can still enjoy their tasty breakfast tacos through the walk-up window.
El Charrito has now been serving great Mexican food in Georgetown for nearly 30 years. They have a simple place along South Austin Ave with casual, indoor seating along with a few outdoor tables if weather is favourable. You can do take-away as well. Menu features your expected range of Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes. Service is very friendly and accommodating, prices very reasonable for what is served. Met friends for dinner here recently. Everyone enjoyed the meal. Salsa and chips served with meal were great. Enchilada and fajita dishes were all very good as well. El Charrito is a simple place that gets the important things right when it comes to a casual, great Mexican dinner. Look forward to eating here again when next in G'town.

Delicious, flavorful, and maybe the best Mexican food in town — especially the salsa and frijoles. Highly recommend. Breakfast is served at the window. The breakfast tacos are great too! Lunch is served inside.

Depending on what you get, the food is okay. I see the breakfast tacos is the way to go. The regular beef enchiladas was pretty good. It’s oily, they need to drain the meat. Rice and beans are good at least. The tomatillo sauce has a kick so be prepared for that if you order the shrimp enchiladas. They use very small shrimp. We did not enjoy the dish. The crispy chicken tenders and fries is a big NO for the kids meal. Don’t know why my child would order that at a Mexican restaurant. The red salsa is REALLY good! Make sure you get chips & salsa! The queso, is a no as well. I’m looking forward to coming back to try the breakfast tacos. But as of right now, I would not recommend this place unfortunately.

Enchiladas and one taco carbon and one taco guisada. The rice and beans were bland and flavorless, the enchiladas were just ok. The taco carbon was absolutely gross and flavorless. The guisada meat tasted overcooked and was extremely salty but lacked any other flavor. I did not taste any chilis what so ever. No garlic, cilantro, onion or lime in anything they cooked. There was a small hair in my salsa. The server was very nice and she was doing a good job but the food was just soooooo underwhelming that it was hard to ignore. I probably won’t be back. The food looked amazing but once I tasted it I was just so sad but it wasn’t horrible. It was just ok. Probably won’t return as there are so many amazing spots in the area.

Good salsa, had the two tacos and loved the slightly grilled flour tortillas. Charro beans were fantastic. Steak fajita meat was great; didn’t prefer the barbacoa but probably a personal preference. Bathroom had a smell that was leaking into the restaurant. Overall very authentic flavor, kind staff and definitely worth a visit.

Tried this restaurant for the first time a few weeks ago. I walked up to the window and ordered a few tacos. A breakfast taco and a chicken fajitas taco. The chicken taco was literally just chicken. A bit of flavor but underwhelming. The bacon in my breakfast taco wasn't edible, just fat. I had to pick it all out. Tasty salsa/sauce. The service was nice.

Came here for breakfast tacos while visiting friends in Georgetown. It was a Sunday and they only have to-go food as the dining area is closed on Sunday's. There's a walk-up window on the side to place your order. Ordered many different tacos to get a taste of everything. Ordered the Machacado, Chile Colorado, Chile Verde, Barbacoa, Chorizo & Potato, Bean & Cheese with Bacon, Bacon & Egg. There were a few people in line, but tacos were ready in about 15 minutes. You can sit at the tables outside, but took the tacos home to eat. All the tacos were generously stuff in the fresh tortillas. They were all good, but I specifically enjoyed the Chile Colorado and Chile Verde as they're not served everywhere. The red salsa in the bag was very mild, not sure if they had a green salsa or anything hotter. Overall good place to grab some breakfast tacos, but didn't get to try anything else on the menu.

My wife and I stopped in here for lunch. The staff is friendly and helpful, service was attentive. Decor is basic and relatively low budget. I ordered the beef fajita salad and she ordered a Mexican plate with a cheese enchilada, taco, tostada, rice and beans. We also had two soft drinks. I liked the salsa with the chips. Unfortunately, the rest of the cuisine was rather bland. I prefer a bit more heat or oomph. Good value for the money but only adequate TexMex in my opinion. Total cost before tip was less than $29.

This is a beautiful place to go spend the day with your family to swim and relax in the water. It has a deep area to swim in or float on behind the dam, and then where the water flows over the dam. There is a nice shallow part that is flowing where you can just set your chair in it and relax.Definitely recommend going.

Awsome place to go to. The environment is always friendly. The water is wonderful! There is no alcohol "allowed," but you can bring anything else as well as a Stanley cup.😉🤫 They have police to ensure rules are followed. you can bring your own grill. They provide trash cans for hot coals. Floats of all sizes are allowed prepare to walk them to the water😂 dogs swim at the bottom.

Fun park, especially after it’s rained a bit so there’s some water flowing down the little waterfalls. Parking is limited at the park entrance but there is plenty of street parking near by. Restrooms are available for public use. This park has a great little trail, Pickett Trail - a fun hike with a few rocky steps to climb and descend. You can bring your dogs, please keep them on leash. Our senior pup loves the park and all the fun smells/sights.

Awesome place to come for a swim. Mid June the water was perfect temperature to cook off on a hot day. Fairly busy around 5pm.

I had a blast here! It can get crowded but it's such a nice place to take family and friends to for a dip and a picnic! Definitely recommend wearing water shoes of some sort, bring a picnic blanket or a folding chair, some snacks and a drink and you're all set! I jumped off the bluff, it was great!!

If you all love supporting local bookstores and coffee shops I would definitely recommend this cozy, quaint and cute little bookshop in Georgetown. It’s one of my favorite places to go to. I visit here often and I just love the vibes and atmosphere in the bookstore. One of my favorite local bookstores and their coffee shop is amazing. They have a wide variety of books and I love their fiction section. If you have kids you will fall in love with their kids section. Such an adorable spot for little ones to sit, relax and read. They also have so many gift items that are really unique and you can’t find anywhere else. I would just love if you all would support this amazing bookstore because when you support local you are supporting small business ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Loveliest little book store! Love the set up and the coffee shop as well is so adorable, unfortunately we stepped in like 14 minutes before they closed so we didn’t get to spend much time inside but we will definitely be back soon and many times I’m sure.

We have lived around here for a few years now and never stepped foot in this store! How did we miss this place?!? It is such a cute and intimate bookstore. There is a lovely reading nook for the kids as well as a small cafe in the back. Parking can be tricky- at least it was for us today- but well worth the effort. If you are a book lover, don’t miss out on visiting this place.

Cute little bookstore near The Square in Georgetown! Parking was easy to find on a Sunday afternoon. This bookstore offers a unique selection of books, trinkets and gifts. They also have a cafe to sit at and enjoy a drink and pastry. Although the book selection is pretty small, I thought that the prices were fair, with some being even lower than retail because they do sell used books as well. For items other than books, prices are pretty high. My kids enjoyed climbing through Storybook Landing and drawing on the chalk walls. We shared a piece of pumpkin bread and it was yummy!

My wife and I love this bookstore! The staff are incredibly friendly, the books are specifically chosen, and the vibe is eclectic and fun. We love book shopping here whenever we get the chance! The cafe attached to the store is also adorable and delicious. My wife has participated in the monthly book clubs and it fosters such a welcoming, inviting space for the community. We love Lark and Owl!

This bookstore is super cute! They have great books and cute decor, candles, and coffee mugs. It’s adjacent to the Monument Cafe. There is plenty of parking. I can’t wait to go back!

LOVE this bookstore. A very clever arrangement of books and cards and gifts. We spent about 45 minutes wandering around and need to go back to sample the cookies at the little coffee stand at the back. 10/10 recommend

My favorite bookstore in the Austin area. Such a wonderful & caring staff- they also have everything you'd want in an independently owned local book store. Not only books/novels from every genre (and an adorable kids section), but they also sell a plethora of cards, tote bags, bookmarks- really, any gift for anyone you could imagine. But my favorite part is that L&O hosts a wonderful selection of classes, monthly book clubs, and author events- you can go and listen to your favorite author, and grab an autograph after. Grateful that Georgetown supports a local spot vs big box chains or online formats.

Mesquite Creek Outfitters is a unique destination that combines retail therapy with a cozy bar experience. This spot offers a wide range of outdoor apparel, from boots to hats, making it a haven for both visitors and locals. The bar boasts an impressive selection of over 30 wines and craft beers, along with light bites to complement the drinks. With its inviting atmosphere and ample seating options including rocking chairs and leather sofas, this place has become the living room of Georgetown.
Mesquite Creek Outfitters is one of my favorite spots in town! I host multiple candle-making events here throughout the year, but I also love stopping by whenever there’s something happening on the square. It has such a welcoming, community-driven vibe, and they always have fun and diverse events going on. Whether you're grabbing a drink, meeting up with friends, or joining in on one of their many events, it’s always a great time. Highly recommend!

Hard to argue with the idea behind this place. Its essentially a bar that also has a shop with all sorts of clothing and other stuff. You can get a drink at the bar and either lounge around or shop while you drink. Best part is, they have a really good selection of craft beer.

The place has rustic look with Friendly and welcoming staff. The place has open standing area outside. The area is just perfect in Georgetown downtown. There are some good beer options including some 0 proof beers. I could stay only for fee minutes. Lot of parking spots around the downtown area. Will surely return here.

STAY AWAY!!! Not a very welcoming place. We walked into the store and weren’t greeted w/ the friendly southern greeting. Instead, we caught an eye-roll from the female bartender. From that point on, she just kept giving us the side eye. All good, message received. We will not be coming back. The rest of the stores in the square is very friendly.

Won’t be walking into this store again. Came in to show our visiting family the quaint shops in our square. The store was not busy and we came in with our 5 kids (mind you, there were kids already in there). We were greeted with an up and down look and an eye roll from the woman behind the counter. Everyone we have met since moving to Georgetown has been kind until this place. To the owner- based on some of the other reviews I’ve read, looks like there’s a common theme. Maybe a course on customer service is needed. I will be passing this review on to others.

Very cute and unique place! Not a lot of food options so definitely eat before as they were sold out of the one thing we considered ordering. Love the rocking chairs at the tables, and they have lots of fun seating as well like leather sofas in front of a fake fireplace. Beer was good and reasonably priced ($7). They also have non diet sodas, white claw, and ranch water and some non alcoholic beer options as well.

Nice place to have a drink with friends. Inside and outside seating options. Rotating beers on tap

Beer is good, however wouldn’t buy any women’s clothing here after watching a bartenders friend “try on” a sweatshirt and laugh about how cold she was while sitting at the bar directly under a fan. I’d prefer my “new” clothes to not be worn for extended periods of time by a person drinking.

Georgetown Palace Theatre is a charming vintage art deco theater located in the historic downtown district of Georgetown. It offers a cozy and restored setting for a year-round season of live theater productions, including musicals, comedies, and dramas. The venue was formerly a movie house that underwent renovation to become a live theater in 2001. Visitors can enjoy delicious food and live music at nearby eateries like Sweet Lemon Kitchen before or after catching a show at the theatre.
Every seat has great sightlines, and the climate control works very well as I was neither too hot nor too cold. The staff was very friendly and the concession stand was well stocked and very fast. I was impressed with the number of actors and the stage sets. It is no match for full Broadway show but it is much better than some of the off Broadway shows I have attended. Bravo!

I have enjoyed coming to see shows here. Recently, I saw Beautiful, the musical about Carol King and I was beyond pleased. I appreciated the way they cast the show. The actors were not what I could consider a conventional approach for some of the roles and test they told the story so beautifully (no pun intended). It brought to light that theatre is meant to tell a story and gives us a glimpse into the past. It’s to educate us through song and dialogue combined with the skill of an actor. This cast was so spot on and I enjoyed every minute. As an actor who has worked with this company in the past, I appreciate the thoughtful way they stage and cast shows.

We saw a fantastic production of "In the Heights" there tonight. The cast and crew were so talented! It's amazing what they did on this quaint stage and older playhouse. Bravo! There isn't a bad seat in the house and there are adults beverages too.

Came here for opening night of the Sound of Music show. The staff was all friendly and the seating while, tight is better than most older theaters. Saw Fiddler on the Roof here the other night. It was a great show. The music was great, as was the performing cast. I was in the balcony seating and it was not bad at all. I saw and heard everything I needed to. They have a small concessions booth and they moved as fast as you would expect. They had sodas, snacks, and alcohol. It did get a bit warm inside towards the end of the show. Overall, a really great place to catch theater.

I saw Beautiful and the actors and music were top notch. The restroom stalls are limited so due to the 95% of the movie goers are geriatric, need to expand the size f the restrooms. Interesting older people — a lady asked if I knew someone in the show since I was there……

Have had seasons tickets to the Palace for years. The Springer Stage is the larger venue with more elaborate/professional productions. Have enjoyed almost everything we’ve seen on the Springer Stage. The Playhouse, around the corner, is small and intimate. In years past they have put on some very good plays. This past season we’ve noticed a discernible decline in quality and actually walked out of two productions at intermission. Not sure what’s going on there, but will give it one more shot.

Steak house
Wildfire is a classic steakhouse and saloon-style bar located in Georgetown. The restaurant is housed in a beautiful historic building and offers a relaxed fine dining experience. The menu features a variety of meats and wild game grilled over an oak fire, including elk, duck, lamb, and ostrich. The food is artistically presented yet hearty, appealing to both adventurous eaters and those who prefer traditional dishes.
Have wanted to go to Wildfire for quite some time and finally went for a friend’s birthday. The lamb chop was delicious and would get this again! Shoutout to McKenna for the great service and recommendations. The steak unfortunately was lacking flavor but the kitchen took care of that and made a peppered steak instead which was much better! Make sure to save room for dessert!!

The green chili pozole soup is a great start to the meal. Tender pork, hominy, beans in a light, slightly spicy tomato based broth. Topped with a bit of cabbage and cilantro, very yummy. The chicken and dumplings is traditional with pillowy, tender dumplings covered in a white, very creamy sauce. Be sure and ordered some rolls to help get every last bit of sauce and chicken from the bottom of the bowl. Another hearty option is the beef pot roast. Fork tender with a bit of smoke sitting in a heaping helping of mashed potatoes. Too much for one person!
M V — Google review
The restaurant was upscale but quaintly decorated. Our server Brent was phenomenal. He gave us the perfect amount of time to review the menu, offered his opinion when we were indecisive on an appetizer, and came to check on us regularly. I never post what we ordered but it was absolutely noteworthy to share for first time diners like my friend and I were. We started with the Maple Glazed Crackling Pork Belly then shared the Veal Loin Chop Piccata and Flame Kissed Agave Chicken Breast. We both are huge chicken piccata fans, their veal picatta was to die for! Perfectly cooked and the sides were better than described on the menu. The chicken was cooked beautifully but a little on the sweet side, which we weren't upset with considering agave was used in the description. First time but definitely not the last dining experience here! Thanks Brent for making our experience memorable and we hope to see you again soon :)

Went to this restaurant on a business trip. At first wasnt seated right away but its true good things comes to those who wait. After ordering the food it came back instantly and the taste was great. Great sear on the steak and Mckenna the waiter was nothing but polite. Would definitely visit again and the price was amazing for this type of steak.

We sat at the bar...excellent service from Jacob, Liz and Angela. I had the Jerk porkchop, delectable and hit the spot. The feature was the carrot cake. I love carrot cake and have had a lot of it...this by far the best! Really carrot stripe on the plate. Also pictured was the cowboy Riley and pecan green beans. I would be wrong in not mentioning the collard greens...superb.

The hostess seated us right after arriving; we did have a reservation. The waiter was very attentive, had good suggestions for the meal and was able to answer all our questions about the food and the restaurant; this was our first visit to Georgetown and the Wildfire. We had an appetizer of tortilla soup, steaks (bacon wrapped fillet and ribeye), baked potatoes, and shared an order of green beans with pecans. The meal arrived right after finishing the soup, having soaked all the broth with the dinner rolls - didn’t want to leave any left over! The steaks were juicy with good flavor, especially the ribeye, and the green beans were very tasty as well! After finishing the wonderful meal we decided to try a dessert. The most difficult part of the evening was trying to figure out which dessert to choose. We finally decided on the Blueberry Cheesecake Bread Pudding with vanilla ice cream. Oh My Goodness! Every bite was delicious! Can’t say enough good about the Wildfire. We will definitely be back!! Thank you to all the staff and chefs for a great experience!

Mikey V's Tacos On The Square and Hot Sauce Shop is a versatile dining spot that caters to breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Nestled on 8th street with a view of the Historic Williamson County Courthouse, this eatery offers quick service in a laid-back setting. Their menu features classic Tex Mex favorites like Al Pastor and Carne Asada alongside innovative creations such as beef birria quesadillas and Hot Cheeto tacos.
This place is a wonderful veteran owned business. The young gentleman named Ash really knows his stuff. Ask him anything about hot sauces? And if it's in there, he's gonna know it, and he's probably going to know if it's not. They make a whole lot of the hot sauces that are available. They also have shirts and several other little novelties, but they focus on their hot sauces. Then in the back, half of the building is a little restaurant where they have some incredible Tacos, we both had, the Gringo and I had a Birra taco so tender and moist with the dip. The lady running the place was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and was totally up on everything about their tacos, and the chef nailed it. Amazing, If you're in Georgetown, this is a must try..

Hot sauce in the front, tacos in the back! We love Mikey V's. If you want a simple spot to get great tacos and a cold beer, this is exactly what you are looking for. The tacos are still priced reasonably, they taste fantastic, the people are awesome, and the beer is great. We will always keep this place on our list for a great stop on the square in Georgetown.

I haven't found better consume or birria in a 100mile radius. It's quick, decent prices and their other food is also great. We recently tried their house made pork rinds and it's another hit. We drive 30 minutes from the Austin area about once a month just to come here. You truly cannot go wrong stopping in.

I wanted to visit this taco place to support a veteran and try out another local taco stand. Wow! I ordered two crispy shredded chicken tacos but I asked them to grill cheese on the griddle and add it to my tacos. OMG! Delicious. The crispy shells are a full on 10/10 because they were cooked in oil that has a great flavor and then they made sure that the shells were not greasy or soggy. They have both a red sauce and a green sauce. Both sauces were tasty, but the green sauce has a kick to it. It will bite back! Cute, friendly place! Enjoy!
Greg M — Google review
Birria tacos and the consume was fabulous! Awesome hot sauce store in front and restaurant in the back! Had a few different tacos and they were all so good! Super nice ladies at both the restaurant and who helped us with buying hot sauce! Now my only complaint and for some is not an issue. But I would skip the Birria ramen noodle. Should have known it was going to be a pre done container. Although the Tapatio spicy noodles are not the best and for $10.95 ( for a $1.77 at Walmart bowl of noodles) with what seemed liked a little birria meat was a let down. Was hoping for same flavor and yumminess as the tacos. Not going to fault them on it, as I should have asked.
Mike M — Google review
This is my sister’s favorite taco place and she really wanted us to enjoy them with her while we were visiting. We all had Birria tacos which were good, but, apparently aren’t my favorite. I’d we go there again I will try something else. 4 of our party of 7 really enjoyed them, so I think it’s personal Al preference. The restaurant is cute with a cute shopping area that sells varieties of hot sauce. They will gladly give you samples 😂 The restaurant has a challenge … the Flame Challenge, enter if you dare! We enjoyed the place and would definitely go there again. This spot is on a town square and it’s Poké Stops galore! (See screen shots of Poké World in the pics.)

There is a taco shop behind the hot sauce store! The sauce store is awesome, so many flavors. We got the fried garlic too, it was surprisingly crunchy and light with great seasoning. We got guac and chips, nothing fancy but tasted fine. The meat tacos were good and had lots of choices. But they do not have anything except one single veg taco option. Mexican cheesy corn was a treat.

Nestled in the heart of Georgetown, Laurie's Cafe is a delightful lunchtime retreat that offers a charming atmosphere and an array of homemade American dishes. This quaint spot features a menu filled with mouthwatering options like their daily quiche, fresh salads, and delectable desserts. A standout on the appetizer list is Bill's Appetizer Plate, which includes Texas toothpicks, potato cakes, fried pickles, and sweet potato fries—perfect for sharing or indulging solo!
We stumbled upon this cafe when all the ones on the main walk were crowded. This is now our place to eat in Georgetown. The waitress was nice, attentive and personable. The old fashion hamburger was large and tasty. Wasn't expecting such a good hamburger from a little place. If you want a small cafe atmosphere with great food at reasonable prices, then this is for you.

I stopped by for lunch on a Friday afternoon. The place was buzzing with customers filling up the dining room. I was immediately waited on by a friendly waitress. I decided on the grilled chicken on one of their soft sourdough rolls. It was so delicious, all I had on the chicken was their melted cheese drizzled with a well balanced not too sweet or vinegary BBQ sauce. The bread was amazing so I brought home 6 rolls. The owners work very hard to ensure that their food and service are well above our expectations.

Great place. Kind of like going to grandmas house. Chicken salad had bacon was good, egg salad was ok, loved the tomatoes cucumber salad, the congealed salad was good. I think they overcharged us a little. Friends loved the lemonade. Kids liked the grilled cheese

We’ve lived in Georgetown for a while and have explored just about every spot on the square—except Laurie’s. We’d walked by countless times and never gave it much thought, especially with so many great lunch options around. Big mistake. Laurie’s is hands-down the most delicious lunch spot on the square. The food is not only fantastic, but the whole experience is just as genuine and charming as it is tasty. We’ll definitely be back!
Thomas T — Google review
An absolute NO. Food was really bad; service was non-existent; it was overpriced. I had not been to Laurie's in years but was in town visiting family and was happy to see they were still open. I am assuming it has changed ownership since I was last there because my experience today was nothing like it had been. This was one of those times when I totally resented having paid any money and wasted any time. I ordered the quiche lorraine, which was NOT quiche lorraine at all! I am not a chef or even a foodie, but I know what a quiche lorraine should be. If you go into a restaurant and order macaroni and cheese or fettuccine alfredo - you know what to expect because these are familiar and basic dishes - as is quiche lorraine. Even for any type of quiche, it was horrible. Just not a good flavor; it also appeared as if it had been sitting out. It had green onions, some sort of spice, and tasted overwhelmingly of either American or cheddar cheese - this is not a quiche lorraine. I am not sure why they even called it that. I also didn't taste or see any bacon or ham. The other quiche for the day was green chili. I thought they had just brought me the wrong one, but two waitresses said it was the quiche lorraine and that they put green onions in their "version." I had the tortilla soup which was served in a glorified shot glass, which was fine because I didn't eat it. It was tasteless other than it had a spicyness to it, as if instead of flavor they just added pepper maybe? Also, it was greasy; didn't really think soup could be greasy but that is what it looked like - grease droplets sitting on the surface of the soup. The lemon poppyseed muffin was marginal but dry. The only thing that was edible was my half chicken salad sandwich. The waitress brought my ice tea - it was a glass of tea with a few melted ice cubes in it. I had to ask for another glass of ice, which my waitress forgot. The waitress for the table next to me brought it to me. This irks me because who brings an ice tea with no ice and sits it in front of a customer. I noticed the table next to me also requested a separate glass of ice. The little packages of crackers on the table where actually stale - I didn't know that could happen with things that hadn't been open. If anyone had paid attention to my plate, they might have seen the only thing I ate at all was my sandwich, which I didn't finish. This used to be a lovely tea-room type place with tasty, light options - just good, fresh food. Not anymore. It was gross and regrettable.

This place may be the most consistently good fast food I’ve ever had in my life. 5 or 6 visits without a single issue. The employees are always friendly. I was picking up an order and a teenager decided to talk back then realized her mistake, never apologized told me to tell my boss how I'm not allowed to be in one " stall" when 2 orders under one name confused her. Smh, then blamed me. Absolutely terrible 😞 our building faces theirs.

This is by far the best Sonic that I've been to in awhile. The staff is fast and friendly. Condiments are always offered and I don't have to wait for them to go back inside to get them. Food is always fresh and tastes great. They don't cinch on the amount of tater tots they give. Restrooms are always clean. This Sonic is on top of their game!!
