Every dish is so delicious and awesome!
Especially chili relleno, so good that I placed another order of it!
The guacamole is so smooth and fresh.

The service was friendly and our waiter had a great way of anticipating our needs. The food was delicious!! The beef taco is my new favorite anywhere!!! Wow!! We had the small combination plate and the chicken quesadilla we fantastic. The sopapillas were hot and fresh. So crispy and delicious. The Jalisco margaritas are superb!!

Driving home to Tucson after a long road trip, I decided to stop by Silver City for some New Mexican food. The primary variety of Mexican cuisine in southern Arizona is Sonoran, and the one New Mexican restaurant near my home closed a while ago. So, I really wanted some great red and green chiles.
Upon entering the restaurant I was greeted quickly and politely. After a brief wait I was seated and my server promptly arrived and offered a drink. When she returned to take my order, I requested the beef enchiladas Christmas style, shorthand for the popular combination of both red and green sauces. Her response surprised me; “They won’t do that,” she said. “They don’t like the way it looks.” I found that quite bizarre, but begrudgingly ordered the plate with red (reportedly spicier) and added a side of the green. She also offered the usual chips and salsa which, despite being listed for purchase on the menu, were included with the meal at no added charge.
The chips, freshly made, were very good. This may seem trivial, but I’ve had some really lousy chips over the years. The salsa was a bit bland and watery for my taste. The main event, the enchilada plate, was just a bit disappointing. I found the red chile rather bland, lacking both the complexity of flavor and the heat that a mature red sauce should offer. The green was actually more flavorful but entirely burn-free. The rice and beans were fine.
In the end, I left a bit dispirited. The place has charm, and the service was very good. But the food should be the star of the show and, sadly, fell short of my expectations given all the glowing reviews.
We went to this restaurant on the recommendation from a worker at the hotel we were staying at. The service was superb. The staff was all very friendly and welcoming to us. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was absolutely delicious. Their prices are very reasonable and the portions we got were very generous for what we paid. If I am ever back in Silver City again this definitely is a place I would visit again. If you visit it is a great place to grab something to eat. It doesn't matter if you are by yourself or a while family coming you will not he disappointed.
Best Mexican restaurant in Silver city! There was a 20 minute wait to get in at 6:30 in the evening and we closed the restaurant down and left around 9:30, which is why the dining room looks empty in the pictures. But trust me, the place was packed just 30 minutes earlier.
The service was outstanding! At no time did they ask us to leave as they were preparing the dining room for close.
We had the chips and salsa, small combination plates, and a couple of margaritas. The food was fresh and had excellent flavor.
If you’re in downtown Silver city and you’re hungry for some good food, you cannot go wrong with Jalisco Cafe! A must try!!!
Obviously, the highest ranked and best Mexican place in Silver City. It is turning into somewhat of a Tourist trap, and can get ridiculously crowded, but deserves the accolades.
I dislike the parking, awkward spots up the hill, not enough spots on the street.
Kinda annoying they dont take reservations, considering they can get very busy with crowds in the waiting room.
The food was really good. The wait wasn't too long and the service was great. Highly recommend.
I have been to this place multiple times and I love it. The food is great and the staff are very nice. I have ordered the double meat mushroom burger, taco plate, burrito plate, and tostada plate. The only downside is that the food takes a little longer than usual to be served.

During Mardi Gras, the options at Little Toad Creek Brewery & Distillery were limited to New Orleans cuisine, which was exceptionally tasty. The establishment offered a diverse range of their own brewed beers, served in a flight of six 5 oz glasses for $9.50 or pints for $4.50 during happy hour. The bar area filled up quickly at 4:30 due to the festive atmosphere, but the servers managed to keep up with the demand and provided excellent service.
Visited this historic eatery with my brother not really knowing what to expect. Overall experience was incredible! The food was really good!
We ordered the Irish cowboy nachos as an appetizer and the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich, and Silver City Burger with chips and fried an an entree.
The food was portioned well, I made It about half way through before I was too full to take another bite. I especially like that they use a brioche bun preventing the sandwiches from getting soggy.
The waitress was very kind and attentive (Tamires) making sure numerous times we were content while dining.
I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something a little different to eat than the traditional things you find in silver city.

Good location in downtown area, close to two hotels. Decent food and friendly service. I had the dry rubbed fish tacos with chips and salsa. Some homeless people were hanging around outside but police frequently drive by.
Had the ribs. They were great. I'm bias being from South Texas so they weren't Texas ribs but they were good none the less. Wife had the silver city burger and thought it was ok.
She had the brownie sundae and was in love.
Food is priced right and tastey. Remember that food and service are on a curve tied to the price.
This place is a great accidental find on a long road trip.
Our experience at Little Toad Creek Brewery & Distillery - Silver City in Silver City, New Mexico, exceeded our expectations. Located in the historic Isaac Cohen Building, built in 1881, the restaurant offers a unique blend of history, charm, and modern amenities.
The spacious interior features two dining areas, a bar, and a game room, with cozy couches in the secondary dining area. The decor is a thoughtful mix of eclectic elements, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Our server was exceptional, delivering outstanding service with a smile. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to share her expertise about the menu and local area. The food was outstanding, with generous portions and each dish expertly prepared. We were impressed by the quality, value, and presentation of the cuisine.

What we ordered:
1. Cowboy Irish Nachos
Thick homemade potato chips with white queso, green chile, ground beef, diced tomato & onion.
Substitute chicken or tortilla chips for no extra charge!
2. Bangers & Mash
Two beer cooked bratwurst over creamy house-made mashed potatoes topped with cheddar cheese, grilled onions, and sauerkraut.
3. The Hungry Hippie
Marinated grilled portobella mushroom, bell pepper, onions, Swiss & cheddar cheese, lemon-thyme cream cheese, mixed greens & balsamic glaze.
Little Toad’s Beer would certainly encourage Mr. Toad to spend less time at Toad Hall!
Particularly fond of the Grumpy Old Troll, a fresh but earthy IPA, nothing grumpy about it. The Hop-A-Long pale ale is lighter but similarly hoppy.
Service, especially from Mike, was timely and fun. Had the ribs which were ok )but not fall apart great) and the sauce is kickin. Fish and chips has tasty batter, but a lot of it.
Giant place, with bar area, dining area, pool and darts area and outside beer garden.
Overall great fun.
2nd trip to Silver City this year and 2nd stop at this little gem. Stopped by Friday afternoon and it was packed! I had a flight and then 2 beers at the bar. Nice mix of families, couples and singles, like me! Bartender was nice and attentive. I'll definitely be back. Big fan of the blonde ale.
The food was bad.
My wife ordered the strawberry salmon salad. I guess they WERE TECHNICALLY right when they makes it a strawberry salad and not a strawberries salad -- it had ONE MEASLEY strawberry in it. ONE!! No exaggeration whatsoever.
I ordered the half rack of ribs. They were cooked in a steam oven. They were super mushy with no flavor. Then the coleslaw... The coleslaw literally had no flavor. I don't think it was dressed at all. It tasted of just cabbage with nothing on it at all. I had onion rings with my ribs and slaw. The onion rings were thick and seemed homemade but there was no seasoning. We split the pretzel which was pretty tasty and came piping hot!
My wife ordered the Smarte Blonde beer which was flavorless. I ordered a flight that was pretty decent.
Overall we spent $85. As we were driving away discussing how awful it was we joked that Applebee's would have somehow had better tasting food.
We were EXTREMELY disappointed. :(

Revel is a charming restaurant with a lovely back patio that overlooks Pinos Altos Creek, creating a delightful atmosphere. The food is consistently delicious, and the staff are incredibly friendly. Visitors can expect interesting and tasty dishes, such as lamb ragu pasta and braised pork shoulder. Diners rave about the sourdough bread with artichoke dip and the mouthwatering pulled pork dish.
Staying I n Silver City for a few days for some hiking in the Gilas and came by for dinner. Service was great and it was nice to find a restaurant here with interesting dishes. My wife had the lamb ragu pasta and I had the braised pork shoulder. Both were really good.

It was our 1st time here and the service was great.. We had the 3 Mac n cheese, silver city & margherita pizza, plus we tried a dish with some of the best pulled pork we've had.. everything we had was amazing we cleaned out plates! Will have to come again when we are in town.

I've lived in NM for 18 months. Hands down the best food I've eaten here. The Lamb ragu is amazing, wife had the unicorn sandwich. Got lemon cake for dessert. Fritter appetizer didn't last long enough for a picture.
Third time here and we always enjoy it. The back patio is very nice and backs up to pinos altos creek. Creates a very nice atmosphere. The food was delicious as always and the staff were super friendly. First time trying the sourdough and really enjoyed it with the artichoke dip. Will happily be back for more.
Nouvelle cuisine in Western New Mexico looks like this. I had cioppino which is a spicy fish stew, a bit too spicy for my taste so I had a Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar to equalize my taste buds. My partner has fish tacos inexpicably listed at Market Price. We are used to eating fish tacos off a food truck in El Paso so I think Market Price us pretty pretentious. Still the tacos were tasty if overly spicy. Fortunately we also ordered a bread selection which was a perfect antidote. Revel strives to cook with local produce so they extra points for that, and the warm, art filled space made for a romantic evening topped off with a delightful carrot cake cheesecake.
First time here and the host and waiter are super friendly and helpful when you asked about the size and food ingredients, the food was super delicious would totally recommend this place to eat.
Ooh wowza! The brunch here is surprisingly creative and good overall, not just for Silver City. I had the green chile biscuits and gravy. The gravy had a cheesy and savory nature, well complimented with the New Mexican green chile.
Our meals were fabulous and made to perfection. Staff was friendly & efficient. Dining is available both indoors & outback. Looking forward to visiting again.

Just had to unexpectedly visit Silver City, and have to say, this place was the highlight of it all! The cafe is beautiful with several different areas to sit including outside! The coffee and chicken empanadas were incredible! I rested very comfortably to eat, drink, and read a book here. I can’t wait to return!

OFF THE CHARTS! The decor is antique western/artist woodsy AWESOMENESS. Feels like Grandpa's cabin! The drinks and food were delicious- try the quiche and OMG, those potatoes! For the win, they had my favorite- Big Train Chai! Oh how i wish there was one in Bend, OR so I could be a regular! Please come to Oregon!

Probably the coolest coffee house I've ever visited. Very peaceful and well designed atmosphere inside and out. It has an outdoor patio with a coy fish pond, handmade wooden furniture, and other tasteful decorations throughout. Also has live music at times and morning meditation sessions on Wednesdays.
And of course, great coffee. Highly recommended.
This place is an absolute vibe, kind like a coffee house in the Harry Potter universe. Coffee was good staff was friendly.
Stopped in at 11am on a Saturday and was immediately happy to see the coffee came from Picacho Coffee Roasters. Delicious, and great to see them supporting a New Mexico company.
The shop itself is in an old artist’s studio, converted into a cozy coffee spot. Inside is quirky and fun, and outside there’s a patio plus a small building set up for gatherings.
Sadly we had to hit the road, but they were just about to kick off a poetry reading and live music at noon. Definitely wish we could have stayed!
The ambience of this place is wonderful — thoughtful decor and a cozy spot to hang out. Unfortunately, my latte was disappointing. It was extremely hot and had a burnt taste, which made it hard to enjoy. This might be an easy fix with some additional training on temperature control when steaming milk. I’d love to come back because the atmosphere is great, and with a bit more attention to drink preparation, this café could be fantastic.
This place is should be treated as a national treasure. Not just great coffee, but incredibly friendly and relaxing to spend any amount of time here. This coffee shop has what no amount of money could ever buy or replicate – soul. You feel it from the moment you walk in.

Delicious sandwich. Great customer service. Efficient and good. I got the Trigger. They added a generous layer of yummy bacon. Ingredients are great. I would recommend. My reson for the 4 star was solely due to the prices,but it's 2024.
The gluten-free options are salads; they don't offer gluten-free bread. That being said, as sick as I am of eating salads, what we ordered was out of this world! I was even more impressed when I found out that they make their own honeymustard dressing!!!

One of my top favorite restaurants in Silver City! Consistently delicious and affordably-priced large sandwiches that come with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The Classic, Trigger and Grass Grazer are favorites. Eating in, tables are small but clean and service is professional. To go, orders are accurate and prepared quickly. We find ourselves looking forward to Chaos Sandwiches every time we visit Silver City!
Chaos Sandwiches changed my life. After eating the Hacksaw sandwich I went back to school, got a good paying job, and bought a new (to me) Honda Civic. I am about ready to put a downpayment on a new home and am seriously looking into the laws in New Mexico as they pertain to marrying a sandwich.
Crazy high prices only for the bread to have more flavor than the rest of the sandwich. Also got coleslaw that was brown and tastes old. Also took them 15 minutes to throw a half sandwich together. Never going back. Food is not worth the price. $17 for only half a sandwich, small side that was old, and a bottled soda.
I should have taken a picture if the sandwich but instead just ate it all 😀. I tried the "Turkey Run" it was one of the best sandwiches I ever had. Very big also, I didnt think I would be able to finish it, but I did
I thought subway was my go to sandwich until two months ago when I first tried this place ! I shake my head no no no when eating it cause it’s too good to be true ! Tried to replicate at home and couldn’t ! The owner and staff are amazing on top of the one of a kind sandwiches are 5 star all day! Thank you for giving this little town even more treasures ! Try them you will not be disappointed!

Incredibly helpful folks here! Very knowledgeable about what to do in town and around the Gila! Definitely worth stopping in to chat with the locals. Lots of brochures with helpful information for you to help make your decisions on what to see. I stayed in town for 3 days, in that time I was only able to scratch the surface of what this wonderful community has to offer. Will be back!

Knowledgeable staff are kind and helpful here! There is a large display of information on the CDT, community murals, local artist exhibits, and local history.
I love the history of Billy the kid so if you do it's really cool even though it's not the original house but still the same location.
Worth stopping in to get the local deets; but if it’s closed temporarily based on a one person show; and you’re desperate for a restroom - then go over the foot bridge on the right for the city restrooms. The Visitors Ctr was closed when we arrived so we walked around & found the replica of Billy the Kid’s childhood log cabin, Silver City Main Street & Little Toad Brewery. We returned to the Visitor’s Ctr. parking lot & we’re able to enter at that time. It was worth the wait; the person at the desk is local & knows the great trails & things to do if you have only a few hours or a few days to explore Silver City, the Continental Divide hike & the beautiful, Gila Mtn area.
Very helpful volunteers guided us to a treasury of local businesses on a Monday, when many shops are closed.
Due to Covid the small shops were closed BUT the overall atmosphere was very nice. They even had a reproduction of an 1870 log cabin donated by Ron Howard (producer and star) that was used in a movie. It was on the site of the original cabin that Billy the Kid lived with his mom and brothers. Walk the downtown and feel the history.
Really pretty lil town it would have been nice that on the weekends everything was open or had more displays for people to see they had a nice Museum

Mi Mexico Viejo is a Mexican restaurant that offers delicious burritos filled with chorizo and egg, accompanied by red chili. These burritos provide good value for money, although it's not possible to customize them by removing the potatoes. Despite this, the restaurant is known for its high-quality drive-through service that rivals even five-star establishments. The four taco deal is highly recommended, although customers are unable to choose different types of meat for each taco.

Best $10 burger in Silver City! Cooked to perfection every time with delicious toppings of fresh melted cheese, peppers, onions, and mustard. They take cash.
This place is actually equipped to provide drive through Mexican food that is 5 star quality. The 4 taco deal is great despite the fact that they won't let you pick different types of meat for each. The salsa and fresh guac that came with was excellent and the price was totally reasonable. Will go again for sure.
We liked this stop. We ordered the tacos. They were small and soft with plenty of meat. Cash only as was already stated. You can walk up and there is seating nearby where you can eat outside. I'd like more flavor in the meats but overall I like it. Next time I think I'll try the quesadillas.
Went there with my dad a few times since we do like being fair with places like this. They have food on their menu but when you go order the food you want. They say the same thing to most of the food on their menu " we don't have it " it's now make sense why they're never busy. And the food we did get was extremely greasy and gave us upset stomachs.
The burrito was excellent, seasoning was on point. The ladies inside were super sweet. I truly enjoyed my visit and will continue to visit!
I had three chorizo and egg burritos with red chili. These burritos are a good value. I asked if I could get the burritos without potatoes, and she told me that the potatoes were already in everything. I know it's customary to get potatoes in breakfast burritos in New Mexico, but I prefer sans potato. I would have liked the burritos to be a little spicier.

Food is ok and portions were plentiful…really enjoyed the chip and salsa bar for spicing my food just right. While the restaurant was clean inside it felt a bit greasy at the tables. Friendly owner but probably not a repeater for us.
The first time I went here the food was fantastic. A little pricey, depending on how much you order I suppose. My big issue here is, the second time I came here, the beans in particular tasted funny and, my wife and I got food poisoning. We were both sick for almost a week. I'm not sure what happened, if this was a fluke or not but, we won't risk going back after that. Be forewarned... I really wanted to give this place a good review because the food was spot on the first time.
The potato taco were delicious, needed a little salt, I guess the green salsa made up for it, the only concern I had the toilet seat was very loose and you could lift up the lid,bi told the young girl but no one was in a hurry to fix i it, I almost fell off I found the plastic but on the floor near the toilet, the other one was gone, the tables needed some wiping and the dirty dishes near the trash needed to be picked up, if you have a restaurant first impression is what people look at!!! Other than that food is delicious !!! Thx, I hope the owner sees that!!!
I ordered a burrito, a horchata a two ride pudding which one I received with fuzzy mold, I sent my cousin in for a refund and they told him they could refund he pudding but not all of it. So I ended up having to go in a demanding a refund because I will never eat here again.
Just had their super burritos today. So big we each only ate half. Leftovers! They were excellent. Loaded with beans, meat and rice. We are from out of town and will definitely come back. So glad we chose this restaurant to get our burrito fix

We were driving through town and saw the good reviews so decided to try out the Jumping Cactus. What a great little place! My wife tried the Dirty Hippie and a gluten free Ginger muffin and I had the hot chocolate and a bagel sandwich, all were high quality and tasted great. Owner was very friendly and shop, although small, was very nicely done.

The staff are helpful and friendly. The inside is cozy and bespoke. The outside patio has a great shaded bar to sit at and watch the city leader by.
This place is Nirvana and like therapy. Get a refreshing beverage and sit out on the bar facing the street and watch the world go by in slow relaxing Silver City style. 😍
The waitress was very helpful in assisting me to find a dairy-free option. She took the time to concoct a new combination of items to make it work, and the result was delicious! The portions were small but priced appropriately. Coffee was hot and delicious. I will be back the next time I am in Silver City.
Ray and Brooke deserve more than 5 stars! They are both so friendly and make delicious coffee and smoothies (and ginger flax bread!). Came in two days in a row and met amazing local folks both times. If I'm ever even close by again I'll be coming back through Silver City to try something else here and have more fantastic conversations! This was a definite highlight of my entire trip. Thanks guys! :)

I got a delicious drink called the Dirty Hippie, a sumptuous confection with melted chocolate on the bottom, a shot of espresso, and chai with cream and cinnamon on top. I tried to recreate it at a Starbucks back home and it wasn't as delicious. This place was so beautiful and cute. Ask about the student discount!
Good coffee and very friendly, but they definitely serve frozen Lenders brand bagels from the supermarket. C’mon folks, contact a local bakery and get them fresh!

Penny Park is a beloved community playground located in downtown Silver City. It was initially built by volunteers in the late nineties and later reconstructed with fire-resistant materials after a fire in 2011. The park features various play structures, swings, slides, and picnic areas set amidst shaded surroundings. It is a popular spot for families with kids under 10, offering a safe and enjoyable environment for children to play while parents can relax or have picnics.
Nice park with excellent play structures for kids. Overall clean and mostly graffiti-free. Pretty tile mosaic murals. Good for young people to have somewhere to go and be outside! There are tables with benches and other places for sitting to eat and/or watch your children. Good vibes.

We absolutely love Penny Park. We have been driving to Silver City for years (about an hour and 15 min from our house) to take our kids there to play. I started as a single mom going, and then when my husband and I got married, we took the whole brood up there and are still going!! Over 15 years!! Our oldest is 26 and our youngest is 6. We have lots of good memories and a really neat park.

Silver City Dog Park is a fantastic place for both kids and dogs. The playground offers various activities for children, including climbing structures, swings, slides, and a climbing wall. For dogs, it's a safe space to run and socialize with other pets and people. The park provides separate areas for small and large dogs, along with water stations. Visitors appreciate the cleanliness of the park and the availability of shovels for cleaning up after pets.
Great! Clean and spacious facility maintained by Western New Mexico University. Two sides separated by a fence, one for small dogs and one for large dogs. Shade structure on each side. Chairs to sit down on while your dog plays. Closed one morning a week for maintenance. Issues with owners can occur at *any* dog park. Our pug from Tucson loved the Silver City Dog Park!

My dog had a great time! Lots of space, clean area, chairs and pickup bags for owners, water and containers available. The 'airlock' entry is a great feature.
The dogs are watched well by the owners and all play well with each other. The smaller or older dogs are left alone if that's what they want. Most of the dog owners have become good friends.
My pup loves this dog park! There is plenty of grass, although, there are large dirt patches which the sprinklers obviously don’t reach. All the dogs are friendly and so are the humans.
Passing through town on a road trip we stopped by to let the doggos run. Very large open park with 2 areas. Also has a gazebo with some seating and shade. Only a couple dogs and very friendly owners. A few dog bowls and water access. As well as dog bags and garbage cans. Clean and lots of room to run the pups!
A lovely place to take your dogs to socialize with other dogs. What a bunch of characters! Dogs and their owners. A nice cover has been erected so that the owners can sit in numerous chairs in the shade and watch their dogs covert about! Very entertaining!
My dogs had a blast running around..this park is very clean and a large area. Two sides nicely separating small and large dogs! There are shovels so one can clean up after their pet. What I found very cool, there is a box where you can donate toys for dogs to play with, it was on the large dogs side. I'll definitely use this park again now that I have relocated to the beautiful silver city!

It houses the largest and most comprehensive collection of Mimbres artifacts and pottery globally, offering insight into the ancient inhabitants' life and customs. The museum's main focus is on Mimbres pottery, known for its intricate black-and-white designs depicting animals, people, and geometric shapes.

Well displayed collection of Mimbres pottery and other artifacts from private sites (admittedly plundered, which is an authentic acknowledgement). Would be helpful to have associated dates if that's possible. New items have been added and are in the process of curation. The museum building itself is early 20th century and well preserved. Well worth visiting. Glad to see the initiation of tribal consultation under NAGPRA.
One of the most expansive collections of ancient Southwestern pottery l have ever seen qas housed inside this museum. My only disappointment was that the pottery was not dated, specifically, to pottery trends of the "time" they were created, nir even "best guessed" about the date(s) of creation. Many Native American tribes across the SW region were making pottery as far back as 200-300 A.D. The dates "assigned" to the pieces in this museum were dates that collectors found them, literally hundreds, and possibly tens of hundreds, of years after the pottery was made and used, so that aspect fell very flat for me. Nevertheless, the collections is amazing, and again, quite expansive!
If you are a Native Amerucan pottery buff, this is a museum worth seeing.
One can't beat the price of admission either - FREE!
Curated in a former gymnasium and classroom building, this collection of pottery is extensive and beautifully displayed. We had not allocated enough time to do the display justice and I hope to return soon to rectify that mistake. A small but classy gift store offers great mementoes. Accessed through the WNMU campus, with modest but free parking.
A bit difficult to find but worth the visit
Though not a large collection such as one would find at the Museum in Deming, it is all presented with very good lighting and accessibility. Worth the visit if you are in Silver City. The young woman behind the desk was quite helpful.

An overall amazing museum. Beautiful ceramics and restored buildings on the campus. As an archaeologist, I am concerned about the display of ceramics with ceremonial kill holes and artifacts available for public interaction. Were tribes consulted for these display decisions? If so, that should be an element of the display interpretation. I fear the artifacts available to touch may be pocketed by unscrupulous visitors. If they have been scientifically exhausted and the tribes consulted, then that's fine, though another opportunity for interpretation on the issues of consultation, black market antiques, and curation crisis.

Gough Park, situated in Downtown Silver City at the intersection of Pope and 12th Street, is a charming urban oasis adorned with oak and pine trees. The park features a central gazebo for performances and hosts various events like the Mimbres Region Arts Council Blues Festival and the Copper County Car Show. Visitors of all ages can be seen enjoying the well-maintained grassy area, engaging in activities such as picnicking, basketball, biking, and frisbee.
My late partner and our son called this Grass Park because of the silky smooth grass that covers the park. They have a lot of cool events here and some wicked cool trees. Seriously though..... Look at that grass!!

Great intercity park with some fantastic events. My favorite is the Blues Festival every Memorial Day weekend for 30 years. The bathrooms could be upgraded but otherwise a nice park where you can always find some shade.

Great vendors! We weren’t able just passing through but are so glad we made it to the market. The bread and cheese was delicious and reasonably priced and we’re looking forward to trying the meat we bought. Such a good selection of food.

Love the Silver City Farmers Market! It's a community hub with great offerings from local vendors. The new location seems to be working out! The guy who sells bread from Tin Cat Breads has the most AMAZING green chile or gruyere cheese rolls and potato or tomato focaccia. Live music brightens the atmosphere! Good place to get eggs, tamales/empanadas, or produce.
Nice selection of baked goods, canned jams and pickles, fresh baked breads, chocolates, sprouts/ microgreens and house plants. Other vendors had meat, fresh veggies, hot foods and eggs. Open every Saturday from 9-noon thru December.
I've heard good things about farmers market in Silver City however, I was not impressed at all. Vendors were extremely expensive. They were very friendly though.

Open May through October with sometimes a "special" pre-Thanksgiving Day exception, the Silver City Farmer's Market is a delightful Saturday morning event (starts on the bell at 9 AM and no sooner!) ending at 1 PM. Go there. See the tomatoes, asparagus (til June end), organic meats, many beautiful vegetables depicted in my photo, and great art, music, and a generally happy community. All in the shade - sort of.

The Big Ditch in Silver City has a fascinating history, with a devastating flood in 1895 creating a deep trench that has since been turned into a city park. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely hike along the creek, encountering remnants of the area's past and informative signs along the way. The trail offers surprises and is being revitalized with businesses near the old roller rink. Despite some concerns about encountering homeless individuals, many visitors have not experienced this issue.
Secure parking in Silver City. Take the trail south and soon you'll be in a nice hike along the creek. You'll experience ruins and remnants of items from days gone by. Various information signs also exist which add to the experience. I was informed that along the Big Ditch trail I would encounter and be approached by homeless people which might be uncomfortable for some. So far this has not happened.

Interesting history and neat area. A lot of trash and tagging by vandals or I'd give it five stars. However, the fact it was an ecological sister turned into green space is fascinating.
Very interesting story behind this big ditch park. We sat and had a picnic lunch on a bench. It’s beautiful when you look beyond the trash.
Very amazing trail and bridges next to a small stream that often bulges into a river during floods. Was once the main street, and today may be revived with rear-facing businesses, especially near the old roller rink soon to be a brewery and tasting room.
Real nice walking next to the river, a lot of trees. Nice little city Silver City . Good for the people living there to have a family day and have a picnic

Sadly, I'd recommend staying away from this place as there are several large homeless encampments up and down the trail now. There are far better places to hike on outskirts of town or farther afield. Sad.... it's hitting everywhere.

The Silco Theater, originally built in 1923 to symbolize the prosperity of silver and copper mining, has been renovated and is now a popular attraction. Visitors can enjoy classic movie experiences with a retro feel, including a traditional sidewalk ticket booth and basic concessions. Great little small town theater with history. Currently showing the newest blockbuster movies on Fri/Sat/Sun, older film buff "art house" selections on Mon, and free family matinees on Wed/Fri.
Reasonable priced tickets ($9 adults, $8 students, $7 child, $8 senior/military). Clean. Snack bar line takes a a looooooong time, recommended to arrive early so as to not miss the beginning of the show. Can get stuffy inside during the summer. Overall, a valuable venue also hosting live music and other events. Silver City is lucky to have it up and running.
I have been to the Silco several times and always had a great time. Not tonight!! My daughter and I have waited years for the great musical Wicked to became a movie. We went to the Silco tonight and a family sitting behind us had two young children that kept talking…LOUDLY! One of them kept kicking my daughter’s chair. I turned around and looked at the parents many times. They did NOTHING. We eventually left to complain to the employees…we waited in the lobby at least 15 minutes and never found an employee. We called the theater when we were there, we heard the phone ringing but no one answered it. Silco, you are better than this and we expected more.
Silco Theater is the only movie theater in the Silver City area. Silco is located right downtown in Silver and is a beautiful art deco gem from 1923. A mix of vintage and current movies play there throughout the week. The theater is much smaller than modern theatres, so I would recommend purchasing tickets online if you're planning on going, especially if it's a current hit movie. The theater does have a concession stand, and I found the prices to be lower than normal theaters. The seats are cushioned, but the arms are not, which was a little uncomfortable. I was very impressed with how clean the floor was when we were finding our seats! Other community events are held at the theater throughout the year. Did you know you can rent the Silco for your event? How about a birthday party and a movie of your choice?
We left the movie 40 minutes into it
because of the family behind us being loud and very disruptive. Then we waited for an employee in the lobby for 10 mins but no one showed up. I’ve been to this theater before and it has never been this bad, silco do better!
Have been waiting for awhile to see a movie at the Silco Theater since its renovation. Got to enjoy 'Joker' and also some great popcorn. This is an old theater that through donations and hard work is once again entertaining film goers. You have the classic sidewalk ticket booth instead of the megaplex maze of traffic, parking, Indiana Jones search for you movie on screen 18! You pay, walk in. Turn right and you get the basics: popcorn (layered in butter), candie, drinks, etc. The basics to enjoy your movie, no need for a restaurant heavy menu. Perfect. There looked to be stairs to a balcony that were marked employees only. Through the doors there I as a quarter moon wall which has two bathrooms to your left. Walking in you see the old Indian art on the walls. Very nice sized screen and the sound is great. The theater has just enough seating to find your spot, not too big, not too small. I very much enjoyed my Silco Experience. Very friendly staff. Treat yourself and visit the Silco Theater in Silver City, New Mexico.
Love this place. They usually rotate the movies well so we get a chance to see good ones. I'm from a town with 30 + movies showing in theaters so just one was a shock. But I haven't missed a movie yet I wanted to see. Good job silco
People here are funny though. Never seen so many people applaud for a good movie. Like huge clapping. And of course there is always the one person who has to chit chat or turn her phone flashlight on to find something . Seriously. A flashlight.
We didn’t have an opportunity to catch a show here unfortunately, but it is such a great concept! The exterior is old school, as is the rest of the sleepy town.

I am not sure who trained the front of the house, but they are unreasonable. It appears that they would rather check the square than to service a customer. I was seated. The booth seat was too soft and the top of the table was almost at my chest. So I picked up my glass and moved to an empty table next door. The waitress came back to admonish me. She said that if I wanted to move again I needed to ask permission. I said of course. I totally understand. She sat me at a small table and as she walked away I realized I I was sitting right under an AC vent. I was cold. So I walked to the counter and said do you mind if I have another table? Because this one's sitting right under the vent. Once again I was admonished. She said, I'm sorry we can't keep moving you
because it messes up our rotation. It was 11:00 a.m. Besides one other family, a five top, I was the only other customer in this big restaurant, I felt she was ridiculously unreasonable. I would never recommend this place. I'm very upset. Not customer service friendly. Rude. No people skills.

We had breakfast, and it was so good, we went back for dinner the same day. Highly recommend the hot red chile if you like it spicy. Green was tasty as well, but not as hot.

Very happy to see biscuits & gravy on the menu. Portions were good size, enough to take some home. I started w chips n salsa and ended up getting the ultimate breakfast. The service was good also.

We went to this restaurant while visiting from Phoenix, AZ, we got there at around noon on a Sunday. It was a little busy but that’s to be expected. The food and drinks were a great price and everything was delicious. I would highly recommend dining here.
My daughter and I went in for lunch on Tuesday. We both ordered the green combination plate. Omg, everything was absolutely delicious! In my opinion they have the very best chile rellanos in town, puffy, crunchy, and absolutely filled with the best cheese!! Diane is such a sweet woman and is always so helpful and friendly. This was the first time my daughter and I had been out to eat together in such a long time, I'm so glad we chose La Familia!!! Beautiful people, clean restaurant, and delicious food!! Amazing service and amazing food! They were full when we arrived and at first we thought we would not get a table. However, the quickly found a two top that they added another chair to to fit all three of us. The hostess was on top of everything, the server was very friendly, and they had live music. We arrived at 9am for brunch. The setting was calm, romantic, and soothing. A perfect place for a sit down meal or a date! The staff, the we're friendly and working together to accommodate each guest. The coffee was great! They did have great food but the wait was longer than desired if you want to eat quickly. The place was clean and accommodates children in the restaurant and the bathroom had a changing table for baby's🤗 great place! Worth a try!
I had the lemon caper chicken, it was quite tasty! My Brother in Law had the surf and turf pasta which looked a little like a leftover dish, and my sister had the pineapple stir fry, very good as well. Service was great!

Food and service was wonderful! I've been there before and had rib eye steak...it was very good. I have also had the clams...there were seasoned to perfection. But this time I had Creamy Bolenese....... the best I have ever eaten. I'm 71 years old and had eaten in different parts of the world....Diane's has the very very best. Everything is top shelf. Try it ...I'm sure you will be as impressed as I am. Thank you Diane for all your hard work and your wonderful food.
Fun atmosphere, friendly staff and big menu. Lots of things to choose from, each room is kinda its own vibe. Food came out pretty quickly. I really enjoyed the coconut curry. Plenty filling and quiet tasty. Yum!

This used to be a great Pizza Hut. Unfortunately, it's been slipping in quality for years. But after today, I don't think I'll ever come back. The girl was extremely rude. Didn't want people doing Dine-in. The fountain was broke. Wanted you to buy way more expensive drinks from their vending machine. The tables were a mess. She did "let" us dine in, only because we sat down before she told us. But we got scolded for it. We could only order from the counter. I guess they also don't do the very popular buffet anymore.
If whoever owns this wants their people to be courteous and not so frazzled, they should hire and train more people.
Save your money and get pizza somewhere else until this place gets their act together. If they don't close first.
It was 6:35 and my husband and I went out to eat dinner . No service was available and we were told that there was indoor dining , which no one payed attention to or responded for 15 minutes , due to the strong smell of weed coming from the back open door. We got up and left at 6:48 due to our neglect and hunger . I addressed the manager in the back and explained that previously I had been told by the waitress that they had indoor dining and , the manager stated he would get someone there right away and I said no and left .Upon leaving inside I thanked them for the service sarcastically due to my frustration and the waitress glared at me upon leaving .
Just a bad experience overall. Ordered online and went to pickup when the tracker said my order was ready. The guy at the front says it'll be another 8-10 mins for our order. I go back to sit in the car and come back in 8 mins later. He says my order is ready. No bread sticks are with it so I ask and he said oh we're out. I had to ask what my options were (irritated this wasn't mentioned when I first came in) he said a dessert. I picked a cookie and he said it'll be 10 mins. At that point my food was going to be cold by the time I get back to eat it so I ask if I can just get a refund. When the girl there was informed of this she snapped at me and said "well we already put the cookie in" I said okay well now I have to wait even more and she just kept yelling over me that I asked for it to be remade so she remade it. I didn't ask for anything to be remade, y'all didn't have breadsticks. She was extremely unpleasant.
THEN.... We get back and our order is even more wrong!!!! The pineapple pizza is actually pepperoni and the chicken bacon Parm melt was made with thick cut ham instead of the bacon that is always on pizza. No one wants straight up ham on pizza, it wasn't even Canadian bacon style! Save yourself the hassle and just go to dominos or papa johns.
Walked into this place to pick up an order I placed over the phone and was greeted with the most unwelcoming stare down by a female employee. She didn’t say nothing and walked to the back. I stood around for about 10 minutes till she finally decided to ask if I needed anything. When she finally found my order and handed it to me and just rudely walked away. Something told me to checked everything. The wings I had ordered had no sauce. I asked a male employee to walk over to check them and he ended up taking them to the back to add the sauce. As he walked back up to hand me them the female employee walked from behind him and rudely suggested i needed to pay for the extra sauce he just added. I laughed as if she was joking. I didn’t end up paying for the extra sauce but had to put up a fight for something I was clearly right about. I will never order again from this location. Worse customer service from any Pizza Hut I’ve ever visited.
We were in Silver City for a volleyball game on Saturday. We called to reserve and give time to the store to prepare for a group of 25 players and parents. We were told that we could not eat in. I was told that we were too many and that we could not eat there. The store is plenty big but they did not want to deal with us because there were only two people working. We took out business elsewhere. Wonder if the owner would be happy to know he/she lost a sale of 25 people.
My husband and I were passing through and stopped to order a pizza for dine in service. Asked what we were there for by gal with purple hair and glasses. Stated we were there to eat pizza. Reluctantly handed a menu at the counter and asked if it was just the two of us. I said yes (not sure why that question was asked as restaurant was empty but for one table). Was asked again if just two, once more answered yes. At that point, was accused of being rude. I told her I was not being rude at which point she said she was denying us service. We left (who would want to stay with that kind of attitude) but my husband went back in to ask for the manager. Same gal said she was the manager but declined to give her name and instead threatened to call the police. Avoid this establishment at all costs!
Put a pickup order online at 710 and when I got to the store I told my order didn't go through even though I had a confirmation number.the worker was rude and informed me she couldn't give me a refund till Monday and it would take an additional 4 days for it to go through.i ended up having them make my order only to have the wrong pizza made, this was at 830 when I asked to speak with the manager she told what for I helped you already. This place has really gone down hill.

Did our order online. Went to pick up, was not greeted when went inside to pick up order. Stood at counter for 5 minutes before was acknowledged. Then took another 10 minutes before our food was ready. Ordered 1 burger meal, 1 chicken sandwich meal, 1 6 piece strip meal and 3 blizzards. The blizzards where not the correct sizes. Employees argued about the sizes. And they did not turn one over. Was not handed a receipt with order either. Then the cherry on top, all the employees looked higher then a kite and one of the cooks took off and left the other cook to fend for his self. Not at all satisfied with the overall experience. Only reason for 2 stars was the food.
As someone who has worked at a DQ before and knows how good that toast can be. It was severly disappointing to open my meal to see what looks to be microwaved pieces of bread due to the lack of grill marks. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt, I took a bite of it, and it tasted like I just pulled a slice of bread out of the bag. How they looked at this and thought it would have been qualified to give to any customer is baffling.
Made me a very yummy blizzard that we made up, it was awesome , Thank you 😊

The Silver City Museum is housed in a charming circa-1881 Italianate home and former fire station, offering a glimpse into the town's rich history. Located in the historic Gospel Hill area, it features exhibits and artifacts that showcase the town's evolution over time. Visitors can explore historical properties dating back to the 1880s nearby. The museum also offers interactive activities for children, including a scavenger hunt and opportunities to try on Flamenco costumes for some lighthearted fun.
A must see to gain a better appreciation of the area. There's so many items packed into a beautifully restored firehouse. The gift shop always has a terrific selection of jewelry, clothing, books & other New Mexico souvenirs. Friendly docents completed a pleasant visit - Olé!

Great small museum that has interesting photos and items from the history of the area, with lots of interesting info. It's not a huge museum so it's a nice stop while walking around town without tiring you out. There is a scavenger hunt activity for kids. A cute gift shop. Be sure to go to the top floor if you can, the view is great. There's also a nice little area to sit and enjoy the weather, and even more pictures with captions, and a great mural, on the left side of the building. Definitely worth the visit!
Lovely little museum in the historic area of Silver Springs. Lots of information about ecology, history, politics, and everything else having to do with the settlement and history of the town. The people who work there were absolutely lovely. I got a lot of questions answered. The gift shop is also very nice. To the right of the entrance slightly behind the house there’s a lovely little garden where you can sit and enjoy the day.
Dia De Los Muertos festival was amazing ! So many beautiful & wonderful costumes ... It was fantastic ! There was music, food and lots of fun !
Beautiful restored historic home built in 1800s. Interesting displays and cute gift shop. Stairs to 2nd and 3rd stories are steep. Garden is terrific.
The ladies here are sweethearts!! They will chat with you about the town & are happy to make suggestions about where else to visit. The gift shop is well stocked with lots of local treasures. The museum itself is small but still really interesting & the house itself is charming. No bells n whistles just an authentic look into this towns past. Beautiful exterior mosaic mural was still under construction but WOW!! The ladies said the local magnet school kids were helping with it! What a wonderful lil museum ♥️

Originally from southern Appalachia, they bring their warmth and creativity to Silver City, New Mexico. The studio features functional and decorative ceramics with a lively sense of humor and love for animals, as well as upcycled fiber art, silk screened cards, and painted walking sticks made from desert-sourced yucca.
Absolutely delightful couple that runs this beautiful studio! Their handmade plates and ornaments are so unique and vibrant! I was lucky enough to take home a one of a kind roadrunner with flowers in bloom. Make sure to stop by this awesome shop next time you pass through Silver city!

Animalia Studio opened shortly after our move to Silver City,NM. Todd and Karen’s warmth and creativity immediately captivated us; reinforcing the positive feelings we have of our new home, Silver City. We have a deep appreciation for art and craft, animals and nature. Combining the artists’ warmth, their whimsical expression of their love for animals, nature, and tongue-in-cheek humor, how could we not add this expression to our collection? These past 8 months we have added 4 of their pieces to our collection. One of these pieces was a housewarming gift to us. As much as we enjoy their art, it’s a close second to our enjoyment of being in their company surrounded by art that brings a smile to our hearts.
The art in this shop comes directly from the owners/artists’ loving and playful hearts. My first transaction with Karen and Todd was impressive in every way, from their friendliness and accommodation of my timeframe, to the craftsmanship of their product. My second encounter with Animalia could probably be categorized as marketing, but their outreach touched me in a way I’ve rarely been touched. Animalia is forever at the top of my gift wish list — and my heart.
We really enjoyed our visit to this wonderful little workshop and gallery. The husband and wife team create and sell a range of interesting art - we particularly loved the fun and tongue-in-cheek pottery, which has a great South West feel to it!
Wonderful little shop run by friendly people. Everything is handmade by the super talented owners! Great place to pick up locally made gifts and greeting cards with price points for every budget. Definitely a must see in Silver City!

This is a super cute and fun little shop! We had boba and vanilla caramel lattes and the lattes were the perfect blend of espresso and sweetness. We also tried their muffins and cookies and they were fresh and delicious! We had our kids with us and it was kid friendly. They had checkers on the coffee table and we played for a while and had our muffins. The staff is very friendly every time we go by and the shop is always very clean.

The most creativity museum I’ve seen in New Mexico. All colorful around with a hint of joy put into this gem. We did the 'Art on a Stick' art assemblage for $15 and it was super fun. You can spend any amount of time on your piece and you can make anything you can imagine! The owner is very helpful also if you have questions or need extra tools. We actually came back to do it twice during our one week visit!

This place is a crazy, fun fairy land of delight. Jean’s art is one of a kind and unique And his studio is a blast. I have gone back over and over for art-on-a-stick, It’s a chance to quiet my brain and fill my soul with art. I highly recommend this place. I can’t wait to go back.
We came across this fantastic space on our recent trip to Silver City. The owner Jean Robert P. Be’ffort is an artist himself and displays both his own work as well as other local artists. We found the gallery very interesting and spent quite some time browsing, as well as chatting with Jean Robert about art and life. Jean Robert went out of his way to source a piece we were interested in, so we did not leave empty handed. We highly recommend checking this space out!!
Incredible. We did the "Art on a stick" experience for our two girls, 4 and 6. This was an opportunity to create 3d collage art from a truly vast collection of random stuff. The girls loved it, and even learned a bit about art and artists in the process. I would rate this as a can't miss experience!

Established in 1893, Western New Mexico University boasts a beautiful campus and is home to the Western New Mexico University Museum, which houses an impressive collection of Mimbres pottery from the Mimbres Mogollon Indians who once inhabited the area. The university offers fantastic facilities including a newly built football field and softball field. With its small campus and friendly atmosphere, it's a great place to pursue higher education or even obtain a Master's degree.

I didn't know much about the university until we moved here and I started working them. I'm genuinely blown away by the commitment of staff and faculty to students, and to the SC community. The university has gone through some hard times lately, but is springing back. It's a boon to the students and the surrounding community.
I started an online Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Western and it was, overall, a terrible experience. You do the same assignments over and over with professors who can’t seem to answer questions via email (and there’s no other contact method). While the program is inexpensive, I find education too important to deal with this level of disfunction and frustration.

Biggest mistake of my life was coming here. Professor moved away putting my graduation on hold for years. When I switched majors to avoid this I was prohibited from getting anything but Fs by a biased individual despite another professor telling me I was the best writer in the entire university. Really ruined my life with debt and nothing to show. This makes me feel now that they leeched away any potential future I had which was of course the opposite of my intention going in.
Only a few good professors, no rigor in the curriculum. Most students have to take remedial English and Math in the first year. Only decent department may be nursing but no guarantees. Howie Morales and others on the staff are leeches on the gov't payroll; nepotism runs rampant. 24% graduation rate - what more do I have to say?

Situated at an elevation of 6,000 feet above sea level, it offers stunning views and features bent grass greens and bluegrass fairways. The course caters to golfers of all skill levels with four sets of tees. Additionally, visitors can enjoy delicious food and drinks at Bogey's Bar and Grill while overlooking the beautiful greens.
Course is in beautiful condition!! Kudos to the entire maintenance team, you guy's are the best! Greens are speeding up and the traps look really good, play well everyone!

Nice place. Beautiful man - made fields. Limited bench seating so bring your lawn chairs if you expect a crowd.
Staff and City are doing the best they can with the resources they have. Short challenging course, shots off the fairways will cost you several strokes. Course has many trees and great elevational changesl throughout the golf course.
After living in big cities and paying big money to play at other courses it is exceedingly obvious that Scott Park is the best value per dollar of any course around
Astro turf is nice, and the outside track is good for running and letting your dog burn off some energy.
Clean, lots of parking. Fields are so nice. Just wish there was more shade.

Great food, awesome employees, this was my first time visiting this establishment and I will definitely be back again! I had the Fry House Burger with blue cheese and seasoned fries. This burger was huge! Really tasty, the bun was buttery and soft, the bacon was crispy, the burger itself was seasoned just right. Now the fries, wow! Those were so good! I like loved the seasoning that was on them. Definitely check this place out for lunch, on Monday thru Thursday they have lunch specials as well!
Great food and great staff. Only thing I don’t like is the fact that the bathrooms are outside the building but that can’t be helped. My friends and I loved it there and next time we’re in Silver City we plan on going back.

Sat down at for about 30 minutes and the one waitresses that worked today on 8/19/22 around 6pm refused to even greet us or even get us drinks. It’s my parents favorite place to go and my mom was just trying to celebrate her birthday early and didn’t feel welcomed there at all. But we love the wings there!
To be fair I've only tried a handful of other restaurants in Silver City, but I can say that this has been, without a doubt, the best experience I've had in Silver over the past 3 months. The wait staff is friendly, the food is good, the portions are huge, the beer is cold (and fresh) and everything is priced fairly. I'll definitely return. My favorite so far is their nachos with seasoned ground beef. Know that you're going into a small friendly sports bar and you won't be disappointed.
I have always been pleased with the food I've ordered here. I usually eat healthy, and even though this is a fry house, you can still get a delicious salad with grilled chicken on it! Some friends of mine recently got the nachos supreme, and it was a huge plate of food with a lot of delicious toppings. Three people shared it, and there was still food left over! I like that customers have the choice of eating in the restaurant or at some tables outside. It is a kid-friendly place, too.
I don't normally like to leave bad reviews but we waited for over an hour for our food had to cancel some of our order just to get part of it after waiting for so long and our children were starving but we had to go in several times to see what was going on and although the waiter was kind and doing her best something was up with the cooks. By the time we got our food we were sitting outside and it started pouring rain and we had to rush and grab our food and put it in boxes and leave. The food was pretty good but not worth all of the wait...no discount or anything for our troubles..

This was my 1st time here, and the sandwich was very good. The service was great. The only problem was I ordered a ham and cheese kids sandwich and got a turkey and cheese but it was still good.
I was dreaming of a turkey and Swiss sandwich; it was perfect. I like how they carefully build each sandwich that doesn't fall apart when you bite into it. Delight!
My family and I were visiting the gorgeous Gila Wilderness and stocked up on sandwiches for one of our hikes. The cheese sandwiches we ordered were delicious and filled with fresh fixings, and the green chile cheese bread took them to the next level. We also ordered a blueberry pie to celebrate my sister's birthday–I loved that the filling wasn't too sweet so that you could actually taste the blueberries. And the crust was perfectly done.

However, my perception changed when I visited Grinder Mill, a Mexican restaurant with an exceptional reputation. Their huevos rancheros exceeded all my expectations and were enriched with flavorful red and green chile that added a delightful heat. The staff at Grinder Mill were attentive and remarkable, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Just so you know, the taco salad is made with chips. I guess I consider that nachos. Most disappointing “taco salad” ever. The chicken isn’t seasoned, it’s just boiled chicken. This is just school cafeteria level food. I’m surprised this place is still in business and I’m embarrassed I paid for this. Absolutely disgusting. I can’t stress this enough: go somewhere else.

It's the only golf club in Silver City, so....no options here. People seemed very friendly, course looked ok, not lush and green, but not a dirt patch like others. Some locals I spoke with said the course was acceptable.

I have played this course a few times now with my husband and we have really enjoyed it. We feel fortunate to have such a good course here in our little community. Don’t expect a groomed private club fairway. Go elsewhere if you want that. This is a public course with challenging holes and fast greens, nice people and management that cares. It’s a fun course. I highly recommend for people who just enjoy playing.

Worst golf course ever played. From the golf pro to the service. I take the time to visit golf courses that are slated for future tournaments and I'm glad we visited this course prior to the tournament, submitted my withdrawal and notified the governing body of the condition of this course with a recommendation to cancel future tournaments at this location. The University needs to take a hands on approach in this establishment or cut its losses and shut this course down. Out of site and clearly being mismanaged. Driving range is literally a field going down the slope of a hill where someone has to pick up all the balls with a ball shagger, they use Easter baskets for range buckets. Asked for paper towels in bathroom, 5 hours later, no paper towels. Trash cans on course were overflowing from previous days tournament. Some tee boxes didn't have tee markers. Greens were highly infected or not cut at all. Practice green looked like a sand trap, pin locations were not refilled, just left open or filled with sand. The baseball fields across the street had better grass than this course. Don't waste your money or time at this place, you will be highly disappointed.
After driving 2 hours to get to this golf course I was really, really disappointed. Let's start with the good stuff. Everybody that I interacted with there was absolutely awesome. Very friendly and informative. The young lady that checked me in was super nice. The golf course, well let's just say that was pretty disappointing. I see the potential but I didn't travel over there for potential. Lots of bare spots in the fairways all around the course. A lot of the greens were in good shape but some of them had tough damage to them. The layout was kind of funky and there was no signs telling you how to get to the next hole. If you're a local you know if you're a visitor, well let's just say I got lost three times.
Also there was no water jugs on the course. And what made it even more difficult as you don't come back by the clubhouse after the front nine to stock up on liquids. The driving range is not what you would expect. It's a downhill, barren, Rock covered brush covered area. The post round lunch was awesome. My server was super nice as well. The chicken wings that I ordered were good size and tasted really good. Do not make a trip to Silver City to play golf. This is not a golf destination. If you just want to go hit a golf ball and Chip and putt then yes an okay place to go. But don't make a 2-hour drive like I did. There was a lot of work going on around there so hopefully they can get it turned around and back into a really nice facility.
We had a great lunch at Chef Shevek Barnhart's restaurant here. The food is outstanding; the Reuben is exceptional! We'll definitely be back!

Billy the Kid Homesite

Historical place museum
The Billy the Kid Homesite, located just outside the Silver City Visitor Center, is a replica of the log cabin where Billy and his family lived from 1873 to 1875. The original structure was torn down in the late 19th century, but visitors can now see a reproduction of an 1870s log cabin that was featured in the movie The Missing. This historical site offers insight into Billy's early life before he became known for his adventures.

A reproduction of the actual cabin actually used in a movie and than donated to Silver City. The Memories Cemetery in town has the remains of Billy's mom. But the actual Silver City is cool to walk around.

The shop offers a nice selection of books, including old and interesting items, as well as photographs framed by Dennis. Visitors can enjoy browsing through the collection while sipping coffee on the sunny patio outside. The owner, Dennis, is known for being generous with his time and knowledge about Silver City. Customers appreciate the quaint atmosphere and often find themselves engaged in delightful conversations about books and life with him.
I found this store which is right down Broadway from the gallery in which I hang my artwork. There was a charcoal portrait candidate speaking with the owner outside the door. After shooting my picture I went inside and found a lot of interesting items, including the photographs framed and hung by Dennis. There are some great images and books as well. I purchased a wildflower field guide and plan to return. A photo purchase may be next on my agenda!

Popped in to browse the books, ended up staying for a while chatting with Dennis. Great collection of books, especially if you’re interested in New Mexico/western US history. I left with 3 books. But the best part was meeting and visiting with Dennis. What a delight it was for my husband and I. He’s full of knowledge, local history, and other stories. Overall really great guy! We’ll definitely be sure to stop by again next time we’re in Silver City!

Art gallery
Light Art Space, located in a former hardware store on 209 W. Broadway, is a vibrant and spacious gallery that opened its doors in 2018. Representing nine local artists, the gallery also showcases juried and curated exhibitions. Visitors can participate in workshops for printmaking, drawing, photopolymer gravure printing, and other alternative photographic processes. The owner, Karen Hymer, is a fine art photographic artist who has brought a sophisticated level of art to this small town.
We were so lucky to meet the owner of Light Art Space, Karen Hymer. She was extremely friendly and we were fortunate to get a private tour of her art gallery. She was even so kind to give me constructive feedback back on my own business. Karen is kind beautiful and extremely talented and must stop in Silver City. Thank you Karen for your time, you were the best thing about Silver City for me. :)

This gallery is an unexpected art space for a town of this size in my opinion. It has a sophisticated level of art that is mostly found in more metro cities. The owner of this Gallery, Karen Hymer is a fine art photographic artist herself. I not only attended an opening, I attended a weekend workshop on Platinum Paladium printing that was taught by Michael Puff. Small but worth visiting, in the hills of the Western New Mexico University on the West edge of town, this had an exhibition by faculty artists in October 2023. Gallery owners downtown suggested I visit and that WNMU has a great art department. They were right! If you love art, check it out.

Adobe Springs is a top-notch eatery with an exceptional outdoor seating area, allowing patrons to enjoy the bustling Main Street traffic. The extensive menu, available until closing time on weekends, offers a wide variety of delectable dishes. Notably, the cheese sticks are highly recommended. Despite occasional weekend crowds, smaller groups can usually be seated promptly.
Visiting Silver City NM. Was told Adobe Springs was a great choice for breakfast on Sunday. It was so good.
The restaurant was super busy, and it took a while to get a table and service. Expected.
Our server was excellent. The breakfast was delicious with lots of great choices. Also, the atmosphere is very cool.
The experience was very good.
I will definitely return. Recommended.

Wow! We’d never eaten there before and it was outstanding!!! We can’t wait to go back. I had the turkey (John’s) sandwich with fried mushrooms and hubs had the “rattlesnake” burger with sweet potato fries. Definitely go there!!!!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Adobe Springs forth a large tasty breakfast, good coffee, and actually opens at 07:00 so you can eat and head into the mountains!
Friendly service, ready coffee pours, quick kitchen and good groceries. In a nice, without being snooty, environment.
Looks like the outdoor space might be nice for evening dining and cocktails as well.
Good food real friendly staff, food prices are about average, roughly $14 for a plate. The Philly was delicious and a good size.
We had a wonderful breakfast at Adobe Springs! Service was friendly and quick. I loved the Southwest Breakfast--hashbrowns with green chile, cheese, and bacon. The coffee was the best I have had in New Mexico. I want to try their lunch and happy hour!
One of the best breakfasts ever in the USA and that's saying something because on my travels I had a 150 plus breakfasts. Food is so tasty, the hashbrowns simply incredible. Staff very friendly. Sure, I read the reviews about taking some time before you're served, but why always the rush? Sit back, enjoy your coffee and just wait for the food. Cause believe me, it's worth the little wait.
Best food and patio in town! Love sitting outside where you can see the traffic on Main Street go by. Menu is huge and breakfast served until close on weekends. But the best thing we had was the cheese sticks…holy moly! It can get busy on weekends, but they can usually seat you right away/quickly if it’s a group of 4 or less.

An abundance of food, well prepared and full of flavor.
I had the Southwest breakfast, Hashbrowns, eggs cooked to order, green chilies, and bacon served with a large tortilla!
Server was attentive and friendly.
Establishment was clean and tidy when i visited.
I will eat here again, and you should too!

With an almost forgotten, low-traffic intersection as its backdrop, Corner Kitchen provides an enjoyable dining experience for those looking to indulge in delicious breakfasts and lunches.
I was fortunate to interact with some Silver City locals who recommended the Corner Kitchen for breakfast.
This restaurant was an unexpected and wonderful surprise!
Walking in, you order at the entrance, and there is indoor and outdoor sitting available.
The staff was so great, BUT it was my meal that was incredible. A simple omelet with greens, but such a well-balanced, delightful, delicious, unexpected breakfast. My hat is off to the chef!
I walked away so content and satisfied.
Note: Hours are limited, and this business is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Bakery items SUBLIME. Breakfast food was good. Nice ample outdoor seating, many vegetarian friendly dishes. Limited coffee selection. Overall cute place. I would go back to enjoy a conversation over some fresh pastries.

Got the smothered breakfast burrito in red sauce with chorizo added. Got it ordered to-go.
Overall, the burrito is very pretty, but very underwhelming in flavor and value for the price. I found a couple speckles of chorizo, that were barely detectable in flavor. I am pretty sure they made their own red sauce…. And it’s okay. Nothing to write home about. Pretty bitter. The majority of the burrito is just the tortilla with big chunks of potato. Like I said… it was very prettily presented, but it didn’t hit the value and flavor marks at all. I can tell they try really hard on quality of preparation and presentation, though. And the people working there are super friendly!
With a 15% tip (to-go), I paid $19.25 for just a burrito. No sides or drink included. That’s kinda crazy considering I was also left not entirely full. The photo I included makes the burrito appear a little bigger than it really was. I had a hunch this would happen when I picked up the to-go box and it was pretty light weight. Ya live and ya learn. Can’t recommend unless you want something a little off the beaten path and cute atmosphere, and are willing to pay extra for that.
I had finished some tests at the Silver City VA clinic and needed some nourishment. The ladies suggested the Corner Kitchen, so I went. Excellent coffee (bottomless) and the Taco with egg, mushrooms and squash was not only beautiful, it was a perfect balance of flavors, texture and satisfaction. The staff is charming and kind and the outside patio was just what I needed to wind down. Price may seem a little high to some, but the freshness, presentation, and quality made it worth the while for me.
I have been only twice as i live elsewhere. Excellent backyard space. Dog friendly. Kid friendly. It seems there's always spicy and flavor-packed options so if your palate is more bland, it may be "too much" for some. Coffee, baked goods, bottled beverages. Lovely and simple casual dining!
Corner Kitchen is delicious! Don’t let the unassuming front entrance fool you, they serve up some awesome food. We had a large party of 8 and Howard immediately accommodated us and seated us first to make sure we had a table to seat all of us. Howard is amazing! We ordered almost all of the specials on the menu and although they were all delicious, our faves were the Silver Pancake special with cardamom sugar, berry compote and lemon whip cream. So good! Everyone here is so friendly and we loved the outdoor seating. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Silver City!
This was such a cute place! The menu changes daily but i got their Christmas Chilaquiles with over medium eggs and it was so yummy! I thought i took a photo but i cant find it. The eggs were slightly underdone as they were over easy but the beans and sauce were delicious over the tortilla chips.
We enjoy a fabulous meal and great vibe outside with our little furry buddy weekly. The farm to table quality of the ingredients and the skill demonstrated by the chef makes every meal a delight. We always leave raving about the lovely experience. The staff is fabulous, the environment is unpretentious and welcoming, and it is obvious the kitchen is passionate about their craft. We love this place and recommend it to whomever we can!

La Cocina Restaurant is a delightful gem that offers an extensive menu filled with mouthwatering Mexican dishes. From their flour-shelled tacos, which come grilled and oozing with melted cheese, to hearty options like ground beef, chicken, roast beef, pork, or beans served alongside rice and beans—there's something for everyone. Guests rave about the delicious menudo featuring a perfectly spicy red chile and the in-house pressed cheeseburger paired with crispy onion rings.
The food was great and so was the service. The menu is HUGE…so many things to choose from. We all enjoyed our food and the creamy green chili sauce was delicious. Red was really good too and it’s spicy :)

We ordered menudo, cheeseburger with onion rings and quesadilla tacos with roast meat. The food was amazing. The hostess that seated us and the waitress were the absolute sweetest. The restaurant was very clean and inviting. The red chile in the menudo was a good hot. The burger was in house pressed beef and the quesadilla tacos were toasted to perfection and the meat was tender and juicy. The burger and onion ring picture posted brought us in to the restaurant but we will definitely be back.
The food was absolutely amazing! If you’re in the area, this spot is a must-try. The value is unreal — a full dinner plate at this quality for that price is crazy. On top of that, the service was even better. Highly recommend!
Outstanding food, outstanding service, large selection, and fair prices is what you can expect from this cozy little Mexican restaurant.
The menu is large in terms of offerings and size. The tacos are excellent both the roast beef and ground beef. The cheese enchiladas, Chile Relleno, and tamales were just as excellent.
The first thing you notice is the outstanding service and the chips and red sauce that are delivered upon your sitting. The red sauce is a little on the spicy side, but addicting.
Overall, the restaurant offers great food at reasonable prices. If you decide to give them a chance, I’m sure you will enjoy the dinning experience.

Ordered on line. It was easy. Picked up food no problems. Got home to eat… it was delicious! I will definitely order the chicken tacos again. Hubby liked his pork burrito and the green chili on the side. Best Mexican food we’ve found in Silver City.
