Very cool place to see artifacts and learn about Silver City and its early years. Its free,don't money if you wish.

Great small museum that has interesting photos and items from the history of the area, with lots of interesting info. It's not a huge museum so it's a nice stop while walking around town without tiring you out. There is a scavenger hunt activity for kids. A cute gift shop. Be sure to go to the top floor if you can, the view is great. There's also a nice little area to sit and enjoy the weather, and even more pictures with captions, and a great mural, on the left side of the building. Definitely worth the visit!

Lovely little museum in the historic area of Silver Springs. Lots of information about ecology, history, politics, and everything else having to do with the settlement and history of the town. The people who work there were absolutely lovely. I got a lot of questions answered. The gift shop is also very nice. To the right of the entrance slightly behind the house there’s a lovely little garden where you can sit and enjoy the day.

Dia De Los Muertos festival was amazing ! So many beautiful & wonderful costumes ... It was fantastic ! There was music, food and lots of fun !

Beautiful restored historic home built in 1800s. Interesting displays and cute gift shop. Stairs to 2nd and 3rd stories are steep. Garden is terrific.

The ladies here are sweethearts!! They will chat with you about the town & are happy to make suggestions about where else to visit. The gift shop is well stocked with lots of local treasures. The museum itself is small but still really interesting & the house itself is charming. No bells n whistles just an authentic look into this towns past. Beautiful exterior mosaic mural was still under construction but WOW!! The ladies said the local magnet school kids were helping with it! What a wonderful lil museum ♥️

Absolutely loved this museum! Small but so much rich history within. Children loved the activity that was set up for them and we all learned a lot about Silver City. The staff was friendly and informative. Really enjoyed our time here. No fee to enter but there is a donation box available, please don't forget to donate!

Great area for a stroll and just across the bridge from downtown. Good parking and interpretive signs.

Interesting history and neat area. A lot of trash and tagging by vandals or I'd give it five stars. However, the fact it was an ecological sister turned into green space is fascinating.

Very interesting story behind this big ditch park. We sat and had a picnic lunch on a bench. It’s beautiful when you look beyond the trash.

Very amazing trail and bridges next to a small stream that often bulges into a river during floods. Was once the main street, and today may be revived with rear-facing businesses, especially near the old roller rink soon to be a brewery and tasting room.

Real nice walking next to the river, a lot of trees. Nice little city Silver City . Good for the people living there to have a family day and have a picnic

Sadly, I'd recommend staying away from this place as there are several large homeless encampments up and down the trail now. There are far better places to hike on outskirts of town or farther afield. Sad.... it's hitting everywhere.

Well displayed collection of Mimbres pottery and other artifacts from private sites (admittedly plundered, which is an authentic acknowledgement). Would be helpful to have associated dates if that's possible. New items have been added and are in the process of curation. The museum building itself is early 20th century and well preserved. Well worth visiting. Glad to see the initiation of tribal consultation under NAGPRA.

One of the most expansive collections of ancient Southwestern pottery l have ever seen qas housed inside this museum. My only disappointment was that the pottery was not dated, specifically, to pottery trends of the "time" they were created, nir even "best guessed" about the date(s) of creation. Many Native American tribes across the SW region were making pottery as far back as 200-300 A.D. The dates "assigned" to the pieces in this museum were dates that collectors found them, literally hundreds, and possibly tens of hundreds, of years after the pottery was made and used, so that aspect fell very flat for me. Nevertheless, the collections is amazing, and again, quite expansive! If you are a Native Amerucan pottery buff, this is a museum worth seeing. One can't beat the price of admission either - FREE!

Curated in a former gymnasium and classroom building, this collection of pottery is extensive and beautifully displayed. We had not allocated enough time to do the display justice and I hope to return soon to rectify that mistake. A small but classy gift store offers great mementoes. Accessed through the WNMU campus, with modest but free parking.

A bit difficult to find but worth the visit

Though not a large collection such as one would find at the Museum in Deming, it is all presented with very good lighting and accessibility. Worth the visit if you are in Silver City. The young woman behind the desk was quite helpful.

An overall amazing museum. Beautiful ceramics and restored buildings on the campus. As an archaeologist, I am concerned about the display of ceramics with ceremonial kill holes and artifacts available for public interaction. Were tribes consulted for these display decisions? If so, that should be an element of the display interpretation. I fear the artifacts available to touch may be pocketed by unscrupulous visitors. If they have been scientifically exhausted and the tribes consulted, then that's fine, though another opportunity for interpretation on the issues of consultation, black market antiques, and curation crisis.

We absolutely love Penny Park. We have been driving to Silver City for years (about an hour and 15 min from our house) to take our kids there to play. I started as a single mom going, and then when my husband and I got married, we took the whole brood up there and are still going!! Over 15 years!! Our oldest is 26 and our youngest is 6. We have lots of good memories and a really neat park.

Great park for kids. Lots of different age appropriate play structures. Parking is a little difficult to find - park on the west side of the park.

The kids section is closed down due to covid, but it's clearly an awesome park. Just behind it is a really cool skate park.

The bathrooms were pretty rough, but it is a great park! The best part is being across from the barbecue food truck! Wonderful picnic!

The park is clean and balanced. Even has restrooms! Lots of shade and of course the starting place for the Tour of the Gila. One of the most important cycling events in America

Attended the Blues Festival at the park. Beautiful shaded park, with lush grass areas, and nice trees. The festival was awesome. Want to have a picnic there soon.

Good place for events, or just to make coffee. Lots of shade, big gazebo dance floor thing, bathrooms, and a mural wall. Right across the street from Wells Fargo. pleasant place for lunch, too

Very interesting hike. The trail does not end where it says trail closed just look in a different direction and the trail continues

Great intercity park with some fantastic events. My favorite is the Blues Festival every Memorial Day weekend for 30 years. The bathrooms could be upgraded but otherwise a nice park where you can always find some shade.

Came to this park when there was a Blues festive and it was filled with great music and even better vibes!

Market is open year round on Saturdays always something good to find there..plants, baked goods, produce, canned food and great meats.

Never been in Silver City and all the locals were very nice and friendly. I felt like I was with family! I dance with the nice bands that were playing. We had a lovely experience!!!

Love the Silver City Farmers Market! It's a community hub with great offerings from local vendors. The new location seems to be working out! The guy who sells bread from Tin Cat Breads has the most AMAZING green chile or gruyere cheese rolls and potato or tomato focaccia. Live music brightens the atmosphere! Good place to get eggs, tamales/empanadas, or produce.

Nice selection of baked goods, canned jams and pickles, fresh baked breads, chocolates, sprouts/ microgreens and house plants. Other vendors had meat, fresh veggies, hot foods and eggs. Open every Saturday from 9-noon thru December.

I've heard good things about farmers market in Silver City however, I was not impressed at all. Vendors were extremely expensive. They were very friendly though.

Great fresh local grown fruit and vegetables everyone was supper nice the had some neat things I have never seen before! Your local little family owned restaurant.But every once in a while you run into a place like this on your travels and this is a gem! With good old strate up real deal! home cooking like from yo momma! MUST STOP AND CHECK IT OUT! Oh yeah try the sunflower sprouts they are so good!!!

Open May through October with sometimes a "special" pre-Thanksgiving Day exception, the Silver City Farmer's Market is a delightful Saturday morning event (starts on the bell at 9 AM and no sooner!) ending at 1 PM. Go there. See the tomatoes, asparagus (til June end), organic meats, many beautiful vegetables depicted in my photo, and great art, music, and a generally happy community. All in the shade - sort of.

Great gift store with lots of silly items, if you're looking for something funny or maybe a little whimsical this is a great spot.

This is the best gift shop in Silver City! It's filled with hilarious letterpress printed greeting cards and loads of unique, fun items. I've returned to this store many times over the years for puzzles, candles, incense, zines, and New Mexico made beauty products that have made perfect gifts for friends (and myself)!

The service was friendly and our waiter had a great way of anticipating our needs. The food was delicious!! The beef taco is my new favorite anywhere!!! Wow!! We had the small combination plate and the chicken quesadilla we fantastic. The sopapillas were hot and fresh. So crispy and delicious. The Jalisco margaritas are superb!!

To sum up in one line: good, not great. Read on if you want the somewhat long-winded details. Driving home to Tucson after a long road trip, I decided to stop by Silver City for some New Mexican food. The primary variety of Mexican cuisine in southern Arizona is Sonoran, and the one New Mexican restaurant near my home closed a while ago. So, I really wanted some great red and green chiles. Upon entering the restaurant I was greeted quickly and politely. After a brief wait I was seated and my server promptly arrived and offered a drink. When she returned to take my order, I requested the beef enchiladas Christmas style, shorthand for the popular combination of both red and green sauces. Her response surprised me; “They won’t do that,” she said. “They don’t like the way it looks.” I found that quite bizarre, but begrudgingly ordered the plate with red (reportedly spicier) and added a side of the green. She also offered the usual chips and salsa which, despite being listed for purchase on the menu, were included with the meal at no added charge. The chips, freshly made, were very good. This may seem trivial, but I’ve had some really lousy chips over the years. The salsa was a bit bland and watery for my taste. The main event, the enchilada plate, was just a bit disappointing. I found the red chile rather bland, lacking both the complexity of flavor and the heat that a mature red sauce should offer. The green was actually more flavorful but entirely burn-free. The rice and beans were fine. In the end, I left a bit dispirited. The place has charm, and the service was very good. But the food should be the star of the show and, sadly, fell short of my expectations given all the glowing reviews.

We went to this restaurant on the recommendation from a worker at the hotel we were staying at. The service was superb. The staff was all very friendly and welcoming to us. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was absolutely delicious. Their prices are very reasonable and the portions we got were very generous for what we paid. If I am ever back in Silver City again this definitely is a place I would visit again. If you visit it is a great place to grab something to eat. It doesn't matter if you are by yourself or a while family coming you will not he disappointed.

Best Mexican restaurant in Silver city! There was a 20 minute wait to get in at 6:30 in the evening and we closed the restaurant down and left around 9:30, which is why the dining room looks empty in the pictures. But trust me, the place was packed just 30 minutes earlier. The service was outstanding! At no time did they ask us to leave as they were preparing the dining room for close. We had the chips and salsa, small combination plates, and a couple of margaritas. The food was fresh and had excellent flavor. If you’re in downtown Silver city and you’re hungry for some good food, you cannot go wrong with Jalisco Cafe! A must try!!!

Obviously, the highest ranked and best Mexican place in Silver City. It is turning into somewhat of a Tourist trap, and can get ridiculously crowded, but deserves the accolades. I dislike the parking, awkward spots up the hill, not enough spots on the street. Kinda annoying they dont take reservations, considering they can get very busy with crowds in the waiting room.

The food was really good. The wait wasn't too long and the service was great. Highly recommend.

I have been to this place multiple times and I love it. The food is great and the staff are very nice. I have ordered the double meat mushroom burger, taco plate, burrito plate, and tostada plate. The only downside is that the food takes a little longer than usual to be served.

Good location in downtown area, close to two hotels. Decent food and friendly service. I had the dry rubbed fish tacos with chips and salsa. Some homeless people were hanging around outside but police frequently drive by.

Had the ribs. They were great. I'm bias being from South Texas so they weren't Texas ribs but they were good none the less. Wife had the silver city burger and thought it was ok. She had the brownie sundae and was in love.

Food is priced right and tastey. Remember that food and service are on a curve tied to the price. This place is a great accidental find on a long road trip.

Our experience at Little Toad Creek Brewery & Distillery - Silver City in Silver City, New Mexico, exceeded our expectations. Located in the historic Isaac Cohen Building, built in 1881, the restaurant offers a unique blend of history, charm, and modern amenities. The spacious interior features two dining areas, a bar, and a game room, with cozy couches in the secondary dining area. The decor is a thoughtful mix of eclectic elements, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our server was exceptional, delivering outstanding service with a smile. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to share her expertise about the menu and local area. The food was outstanding, with generous portions and each dish expertly prepared. We were impressed by the quality, value, and presentation of the cuisine. Overall, our experience was outstanding, and we can't wait to return before departing Silver City, New Mexico. Little Toad Creek Brewery & Distillery - Silver City What we ordered: 1. Cowboy Irish Nachos Thick homemade potato chips with white queso, green chile, ground beef, diced tomato & onion. Substitute chicken or tortilla chips for no extra charge! 2. Bangers & Mash Two beer cooked bratwurst over creamy house-made mashed potatoes topped with cheddar cheese, grilled onions, and sauerkraut. 3. The Hungry Hippie Marinated grilled portobella mushroom, bell pepper, onions, Swiss & cheddar cheese, lemon-thyme cream cheese, mixed greens & balsamic glaze.

Little Toad’s Beer would certainly encourage Mr. Toad to spend less time at Toad Hall! Particularly fond of the Grumpy Old Troll, a fresh but earthy IPA, nothing grumpy about it. The Hop-A-Long pale ale is lighter but similarly hoppy. Service, especially from Mike, was timely and fun. Had the ribs which were ok )but not fall apart great) and the sauce is kickin. Fish and chips has tasty batter, but a lot of it. Giant place, with bar area, dining area, pool and darts area and outside beer garden. Overall great fun.

2nd trip to Silver City this year and 2nd stop at this little gem. Stopped by Friday afternoon and it was packed! I had a flight and then 2 beers at the bar. Nice mix of families, couples and singles, like me! Bartender was nice and attentive. I'll definitely be back. Big fan of the blonde ale.

The food was bad. My wife ordered the strawberry salmon salad. I guess they WERE TECHNICALLY right when they makes it a strawberry salad and not a strawberries salad -- it had ONE MEASLEY strawberry in it. ONE!! No exaggeration whatsoever. I ordered the half rack of ribs. They were cooked in a steam oven. They were super mushy with no flavor. Then the coleslaw... The coleslaw literally had no flavor. I don't think it was dressed at all. It tasted of just cabbage with nothing on it at all. I had onion rings with my ribs and slaw. The onion rings were thick and seemed homemade but there was no seasoning. We split the pretzel which was pretty tasty and came piping hot! My wife ordered the Smarte Blonde beer which was flavorless. I ordered a flight that was pretty decent. Overall we spent $85. As we were driving away discussing how awful it was we joked that Applebee's would have somehow had better tasting food. We were EXTREMELY disappointed. :(

It was our 1st time here and the service was great.. We had the 3 Mac n cheese, silver city & margherita pizza, plus we tried a dish with some of the best pulled pork we've had.. everything we had was amazing we cleaned out plates! Will have to come again when we are in town.

Eat here. Just do it. I've lived in NM for 18 months. Hands down the best food I've eaten here. The Lamb ragu is amazing, wife had the unicorn sandwich. Got lemon cake for dessert. Fritter appetizer didn't last long enough for a picture.

Third time here and we always enjoy it. The back patio is very nice and backs up to pinos altos creek. Creates a very nice atmosphere. The food was delicious as always and the staff were super friendly. First time trying the sourdough and really enjoyed it with the artichoke dip. Will happily be back for more.

Nouvelle cuisine in Western New Mexico looks like this. I had cioppino which is a spicy fish stew, a bit too spicy for my taste so I had a Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar to equalize my taste buds. My partner has fish tacos inexpicably listed at Market Price. We are used to eating fish tacos off a food truck in El Paso so I think Market Price us pretty pretentious. Still the tacos were tasty if overly spicy. Fortunately we also ordered a bread selection which was a perfect antidote. Revel strives to cook with local produce so they extra points for that, and the warm, art filled space made for a romantic evening topped off with a delightful carrot cake cheesecake.

First time here and the host and waiter are super friendly and helpful when you asked about the size and food ingredients, the food was super delicious would totally recommend this place to eat.

Ooh wowza! The brunch here is surprisingly creative and good overall, not just for Silver City. I had the green chile biscuits and gravy. The gravy had a cheesy and savory nature, well complimented with the New Mexican green chile.

Our meals were fabulous and made to perfection. Staff was friendly & efficient. Dining is available both indoors & outback. Looking forward to visiting again.

OFF THE CHARTS! The decor is antique western/artist woodsy AWESOMENESS. Feels like Grandpa's cabin! The drinks and food were delicious- try the quiche and OMG, those potatoes! For the win, they had my favorite- Big Train Chai! Oh how i wish there was one in Bend, OR so I could be a regular! Please come to Oregon!

There is really no way for photos or words to describe why this place is so perfect, you just have to go experience it yourself. The vibe is just immaculate Great seating inside and outside whether you’d like to gather with friends or take yourself on a solo date. Pro tip: the menu is small and things do sell out, so if you want to eat, get there earlier in the day

Probably the coolest coffee house I've ever visited. Very peaceful and well designed atmosphere inside and out. It has an outdoor patio with a coy fish pond, handmade wooden furniture, and other tasteful decorations throughout. Also has live music at times and morning meditation sessions on Wednesdays. And of course, great coffee. Highly recommended.

This place is an absolute vibe, kind like a coffee house in the Harry Potter universe. Coffee was good staff was friendly.

Stopped in at 11am on a Saturday and was immediately happy to see the coffee came from Picacho Coffee Roasters. Delicious, and great to see them supporting a New Mexico company. The shop itself is in an old artist’s studio, converted into a cozy coffee spot. Inside is quirky and fun, and outside there’s a patio plus a small building set up for gatherings. Sadly we had to hit the road, but they were just about to kick off a poetry reading and live music at noon. Definitely wish we could have stayed!

The ambience of this place is wonderful — thoughtful decor and a cozy spot to hang out. Unfortunately, my latte was disappointing. It was extremely hot and had a burnt taste, which made it hard to enjoy. This might be an easy fix with some additional training on temperature control when steaming milk. I’d love to come back because the atmosphere is great, and with a bit more attention to drink preparation, this café could be fantastic.

This place is should be treated as a national treasure. Not just great coffee, but incredibly friendly and relaxing to spend any amount of time here. This coffee shop has what no amount of money could ever buy or replicate – soul. You feel it from the moment you walk in.

Delicious sandwich. Great customer service. Efficient and good. I got the Trigger. They added a generous layer of yummy bacon. Ingredients are great. I would recommend. My reson for the 4 star was solely due to the prices,but it's 2024.

The gluten-free options are salads; they don't offer gluten-free bread. That being said, as sick as I am of eating salads, what we ordered was out of this world! I was even more impressed when I found out that they make their own honeymustard dressing!!! We will definitely be back!

One of my top favorite restaurants in Silver City! Consistently delicious and affordably-priced large sandwiches that come with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The Classic, Trigger and Grass Grazer are favorites. Eating in, tables are small but clean and service is professional. To go, orders are accurate and prepared quickly. We find ourselves looking forward to Chaos Sandwiches every time we visit Silver City!

Chaos Sandwiches changed my life. After eating the Hacksaw sandwich I went back to school, got a good paying job, and bought a new (to me) Honda Civic. I am about ready to put a downpayment on a new home and am seriously looking into the laws in New Mexico as they pertain to marrying a sandwich.

Crazy high prices only for the bread to have more flavor than the rest of the sandwich. Also got coleslaw that was brown and tastes old. Also took them 15 minutes to throw a half sandwich together. Never going back. Food is not worth the price. $17 for only half a sandwich, small side that was old, and a bottled soda.

I thought subway was my go to sandwich until two months ago when I first tried this place ! I shake my head no no no when eating it cause it’s too good to be true ! Tried to replicate at home and couldn’t ! The owner and staff are amazing on top of the one of a kind sandwiches are 5 star all day! Thank you for giving this little town even more treasures ! Try them you will not be disappointed!

This gallery is an unexpected art space for a town of this size in my opinion. It has a sophisticated level of art that is mostly found in more metro cities. The owner of this Gallery, Karen Hymer is a fine art photographic artist herself. I not only attended an opening, I attended a weekend workshop on Platinum Paladium printing that was taught by Michael Puff. The workshop was invaluable to me and the space and people were an inspiration. Thank you, Barry Shapiro

A constantly rotating journey into the local and affordable art scene, lit well. Rooms abound with textiles, wood, precious metals photorealism, intense paintings. Hands-off/passive approach to sales (very little hovering).

A bright light of additional fun activity art and culture in SC has arrived. Enjoyed my visit immensely. Just a nice space to enjoy beautiful pieces of all kinds of creations.

This is a really lovely gallery that always has something new to see. The building is beautiful and the show receptions are definitely worth checking out!

Great little small town theater with history. Currently showing the newest blockbuster movies on Fri/Sat/Sun, older film buff "art house" selections on Mon, and free family matinees on Wed/Fri. Reasonable priced tickets ($9 adults, $8 students, $7 child, $8 senior/military). Clean. Snack bar line takes a a looooooong time, recommended to arrive early so as to not miss the beginning of the show. Can get stuffy inside during the summer. Overall, a valuable venue also hosting live music and other events. Silver City is lucky to have it up and running.

I have been to the Silco several times and always had a great time. Not tonight!! My daughter and I have waited years for the great musical Wicked to became a movie. We went to the Silco tonight and a family sitting behind us had two young children that kept talking…LOUDLY! One of them kept kicking my daughter’s chair. I turned around and looked at the parents many times. They did NOTHING. We eventually left to complain to the employees…we waited in the lobby at least 15 minutes and never found an employee. We called the theater when we were there, we heard the phone ringing but no one answered it. Silco, you are better than this and we expected more.

Silco Theater is the only movie theater in the Silver City area. Silco is located right downtown in Silver and is a beautiful art deco gem from 1923. A mix of vintage and current movies play there throughout the week. The theater is much smaller than modern theatres, so I would recommend purchasing tickets online if you're planning on going, especially if it's a current hit movie. The theater does have a concession stand, and I found the prices to be lower than normal theaters. The seats are cushioned, but the arms are not, which was a little uncomfortable. I was very impressed with how clean the floor was when we were finding our seats! Other community events are held at the theater throughout the year. Did you know you can rent the Silco for your event? How about a birthday party and a movie of your choice?

We left the movie 40 minutes into it because of the family behind us being loud and very disruptive. Then we waited for an employee in the lobby for 10 mins but no one showed up. I’ve been to this theater before and it has never been this bad, silco do better!

Have been waiting for awhile to see a movie at the Silco Theater since its renovation. Got to enjoy 'Joker' and also some great popcorn. This is an old theater that through donations and hard work is once again entertaining film goers. You have the classic sidewalk ticket booth instead of the megaplex maze of traffic, parking, Indiana Jones search for you movie on screen 18! You pay, walk in. Turn right and you get the basics: popcorn (layered in butter), candie, drinks, etc. The basics to enjoy your movie, no need for a restaurant heavy menu. Perfect. There looked to be stairs to a balcony that were marked employees only. Through the doors there I as a quarter moon wall which has two bathrooms to your left. Walking in you see the old Indian art on the walls. Very nice sized screen and the sound is great. The theater has just enough seating to find your spot, not too big, not too small. I very much enjoyed my Silco Experience. Very friendly staff. Treat yourself and visit the Silco Theater in Silver City, New Mexico.

Love this place. They usually rotate the movies well so we get a chance to see good ones. I'm from a town with 30 + movies showing in theaters so just one was a shock. But I haven't missed a movie yet I wanted to see. Good job silco People here are funny though. Never seen so many people applaud for a good movie. Like huge clapping. And of course there is always the one person who has to chit chat or turn her phone flashlight on to find something . Seriously. A flashlight.

We didn’t have an opportunity to catch a show here unfortunately, but it is such a great concept! The exterior is old school, as is the rest of the sleepy town.

Good location to meander for an hour or two. Easy trails with minor elevation.

Accesible to most anyone of any ability. Not steep at all in my opinion and we wandered around to the top over an hour or so. Trail markings are oddly disparate and sparse but it’s fairly obvious what you’re doing. I have lived near Boulder CO open space (IMHO the epitome of what open space can be) and traveled widely and this is as nice an open space thing as you’d want and a pleasant side adventure in a town as anti-complex as Silver City.

Fantastic trail system with any level of difficulty you're looking for. Trailheads are accessible from many points in town.

Found this place while researching rockhounding in the area. Really a unique little place - and found some fun rocks for the kids. No real clear signage, but trails are pretty evident. Only saw a couple other people, including a really nasty older couple who yelled at us about staying in trail and masks. We wear masks - it was just odd they did a 180* to come at us - while we were alone and social distancing. I’m sure they’re local and walk around the area.

A good park for hiking or trail running with views of the city, some small natural arches, old mines/quarries, and benches.

Wow! Amazing avocado hummus crepe with a fantastic salad on top. So much food I couldn't find the crepe for about 5 minutes. Delicious and highly recommended.

Really awesome burgers. Freshly made ! I didn't care for the salad to much but everything else was good.

This place was a wonderful experience and quick for our group. We ate outside and each of us ordered something different. They do have vegetarian and gluten free options which we had trouble finding on Monday. I would definitely come back again. The burgers are a little small like slider sized but each of us was happy with our order. Everything was fresh and homemade. The desserts looked great as well but we did not get one.

This is a really great place! They serve savory meat filled and veggie filled crepes, sandwiches and sliders. They offer a really tasty side salad in place of chips if you want it and have very flavorful sliders. To top it all off the service is above and beyond. Really worth it.

I drove all the way from Tucson, AZ to eat here, and it was definitely worth it! I had the Banh Mi sandwich, and it was delicious. Lots of meat, and the bread was perfect. Great service, too. Very friendly staff.

It's the only golf club in Silver City, so....no options here. People seemed very friendly, course looked ok, not lush and green, but not a dirt patch like others. Some locals I spoke with said the course was acceptable. Pricing is absurdly low compared to larger cities (Dallas, Phoenix, etc)

I have played this course a few times now with my husband and we have really enjoyed it. We feel fortunate to have such a good course here in our little community. Don’t expect a groomed private club fairway. Go elsewhere if you want that. This is a public course with challenging holes and fast greens, nice people and management that cares. It’s a fun course. I highly recommend for people who just enjoy playing.

This is the restaurant at the golf course! The chef made his own corned beef! The chef made the soups from scratch using family recipes! At the GOLF COURSE!!! This is the new Silver City must try!! Come for the corned beef and stay for the view or come for the view and stay for the corned beef!

Worst golf course ever played. From the golf pro to the service. I take the time to visit golf courses that are slated for future tournaments and I'm glad we visited this course prior to the tournament, submitted my withdrawal and notified the governing body of the condition of this course with a recommendation to cancel future tournaments at this location. The University needs to take a hands on approach in this establishment or cut its losses and shut this course down. Out of site and clearly being mismanaged. Driving range is literally a field going down the slope of a hill where someone has to pick up all the balls with a ball shagger, they use Easter baskets for range buckets. Asked for paper towels in bathroom, 5 hours later, no paper towels. Trash cans on course were overflowing from previous days tournament. Some tee boxes didn't have tee markers. Greens were highly infected or not cut at all. Practice green looked like a sand trap, pin locations were not refilled, just left open or filled with sand. The baseball fields across the street had better grass than this course. Don't waste your money or time at this place, you will be highly disappointed.

After driving 2 hours to get to this golf course I was really, really disappointed. Let's start with the good stuff. Everybody that I interacted with there was absolutely awesome. Very friendly and informative. The young lady that checked me in was super nice. The golf course, well let's just say that was pretty disappointing. I see the potential but I didn't travel over there for potential. Lots of bare spots in the fairways all around the course. A lot of the greens were in good shape but some of them had tough damage to them. The layout was kind of funky and there was no signs telling you how to get to the next hole. If you're a local you know if you're a visitor, well let's just say I got lost three times. Also there was no water jugs on the course. And what made it even more difficult as you don't come back by the clubhouse after the front nine to stock up on liquids. The driving range is not what you would expect. It's a downhill, barren, Rock covered brush covered area. The post round lunch was awesome. My server was super nice as well. The chicken wings that I ordered were good size and tasted really good. Do not make a trip to Silver City to play golf. This is not a golf destination. If you just want to go hit a golf ball and Chip and putt then yes an okay place to go. But don't make a 2-hour drive like I did. There was a lot of work going on around there so hopefully they can get it turned around and back into a really nice facility.

We had a great lunch at Chef Shevek Barnhart's restaurant here. The food is outstanding; the Reuben is exceptional! We'll definitely be back!

Nice place. Beautiful man - made fields. Limited bench seating so bring your lawn chairs if you expect a crowd.

Staff and City are doing the best they can with the resources they have. Short challenging course, shots off the fairways will cost you several strokes. Course has many trees and great elevational changesl throughout the golf course.

After living in big cities and paying big money to play at other courses it is exceedingly obvious that Scott Park is the best value per dollar of any course around

Astro turf is nice, and the outside track is good for running and letting your dog burn off some energy.

Clean, lots of parking. Fields are so nice. Just wish there was more shade.

I didn't know much about the university until we moved here and I started working them. I'm genuinely blown away by the commitment of staff and faculty to students, and to the SC community. The university has gone through some hard times lately, but is springing back. It's a boon to the students and the surrounding community.

I started an online Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Western and it was, overall, a terrible experience. You do the same assignments over and over with professors who can’t seem to answer questions via email (and there’s no other contact method). While the program is inexpensive, I find education too important to deal with this level of disfunction and frustration.

Biggest mistake of my life was coming here. Professor moved away putting my graduation on hold for years. When I switched majors to avoid this I was prohibited from getting anything but Fs by a biased individual despite another professor telling me I was the best writer in the entire university. Really ruined my life with debt and nothing to show. This makes me feel now that they leeched away any potential future I had which was of course the opposite of my intention going in.

Only a few good professors, no rigor in the curriculum. Most students have to take remedial English and Math in the first year. Only decent department may be nursing but no guarantees. Howie Morales and others on the staff are leeches on the gov't payroll; nepotism runs rampant. 24% graduation rate - what more do I have to say?

Stephanie was fantastic! She listened carefully to what I wanted and checked in throughout the process to make make sure everything was to my liking. I was just passing through town, and originally, New Direction was all booked up, but they took my number and actually called me when they had a cancelation. I highly recommend them!

Ladies if you want spectacular Nails you have to make an appointment asap! I'm beyond happy with my first set, put it this way I wish I would have found them sooner! I will never go anywhere else.

Animalia Studio opened shortly after our move to Silver City,NM. Todd and Karen’s warmth and creativity immediately captivated us; reinforcing the positive feelings we have of our new home, Silver City. We have a deep appreciation for art and craft, animals and nature. Combining the artists’ warmth, their whimsical expression of their love for animals, nature, and tongue-in-cheek humor, how could we not add this expression to our collection? These past 8 months we have added 4 of their pieces to our collection. One of these pieces was a housewarming gift to us. As much as we enjoy their art, it’s a close second to our enjoyment of being in their company surrounded by art that brings a smile to our hearts.

The art in this shop comes directly from the owners/artists’ loving and playful hearts. My first transaction with Karen and Todd was impressive in every way, from their friendliness and accommodation of my timeframe, to the craftsmanship of their product. My second encounter with Animalia could probably be categorized as marketing, but their outreach touched me in a way I’ve rarely been touched. Animalia is forever at the top of my gift wish list — and my heart.

We really enjoyed our visit to this wonderful little workshop and gallery. The husband and wife team create and sell a range of interesting art - we particularly loved the fun and tongue-in-cheek pottery, which has a great South West feel to it!

Popped in to browse the books, ended up staying for a while chatting with Dennis. Great collection of books, especially if you’re interested in New Mexico/western US history. I left with 3 books. But the best part was meeting and visiting with Dennis. What a delight it was for my husband and I. He’s full of knowledge, local history, and other stories. Overall really great guy! We’ll definitely be sure to stop by again next time we’re in Silver City!

A reproduction of the actual cabin actually used in a movie and than donated to Silver City. The Memories Cemetery in town has the remains of Billy's mom. But the actual Silver City is cool to walk around.

This a replica but the history along with the views make it worth the drive if you are in Silver City. The chapel used to house a statue of the Virgin de Guadalupe which brought in pilgrimages to view her. After the statue was returned to Mexico the chapel was abandoned and fell into ruins. The city rebuilt the chapel, the views from above look over the city and more.

Just got into the sport and it is challenging and fun!

Small art and wood shop consisting of locally crafted wood products. The sell live edge wood slabs which was a big win for me. Prices were fair. Plenty of parking in a dirt lot. Owner was very helpful. Location is great situated along a main tourist drag.

Knowledgeable staff are kind and helpful here! There is a large display of information on the CDT, community murals, local artist exhibits, and local history.

I love the history of Billy the kid so if you do it's really cool even though it's not the original house but still the same location.

Worth stopping in to get the local deets; but if it’s closed temporarily based on a one person show; and you’re desperate for a restroom - then go over the foot bridge on the right for the city restrooms. The Visitors Ctr was closed when we arrived so we walked around & found the replica of Billy the Kid’s childhood log cabin, Silver City Main Street & Little Toad Brewery. We returned to the Visitor’s Ctr. parking lot & we’re able to enter at that time. It was worth the wait; the person at the desk is local & knows the great trails & things to do if you have only a few hours or a few days to explore Silver City, the Continental Divide hike & the beautiful, Gila Mtn area.

Very helpful volunteers guided us to a treasury of local businesses on a Monday, when many shops are closed.

Due to Covid the small shops were closed BUT the overall atmosphere was very nice. They even had a reproduction of an 1870 log cabin donated by Ron Howard (producer and star) that was used in a movie. It was on the site of the original cabin that Billy the Kid lived with his mom and brothers. Walk the downtown and feel the history.

Really pretty lil town it would have been nice that on the weekends everything was open or had more displays for people to see they had a nice Museum

Awesome space! We did the 'Art on a Stick' art assemblage for $15 and it was super fun. You can spend any amount of time on your piece and you can make anything you can imagine! The owner is very helpful also if you have questions or need extra tools. We actually came back to do it twice during our one week visit! The gallery space has much inspiration if you're not sure what to make. I love it!!

This place is a crazy, fun fairy land of delight. Jean’s art is one of a kind and unique And his studio is a blast. I have gone back over and over for art-on-a-stick, It’s a chance to quiet my brain and fill my soul with art. I highly recommend this place. I can’t wait to go back.

We came across this fantastic space on our recent trip to Silver City. The owner Jean Robert P. Be’ffort is an artist himself and displays both his own work as well as other local artists. We found the gallery very interesting and spent quite some time browsing, as well as chatting with Jean Robert about art and life. Jean Robert went out of his way to source a piece we were interested in, so we did not leave empty handed. We highly recommend checking this space out!!

Incredible. We did the "Art on a stick" experience for our two girls, 4 and 6. This was an opportunity to create 3d collage art from a truly vast collection of random stuff. The girls loved it, and even learned a bit about art and artists in the process. I would rate this as a can't miss experience!

One of my favorite places in New Mexico. A concentrated source of creativity and inspiration. Jean Robert is warm and welcoming and the space remains familiar while constantly evolving. Art on a stick is the best!
