I had such a great time at Red Hawk Casino! The atmosphere is lively, clean, and full of energy. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the casino floor had a great variety of slots and tables. The new hotel and restaurants make it a perfect weekend getaway. Loved the view and the food options—definitely coming back soon! The Apex is kid friendly, our children had so much fun bowling.

I have mixed feelings about Red Hawk. The casino staff is awesome. Game selection is decent. My only negative experience is management with the coffee shop and the food in Apex. More than once I have been getting food and there is a line of customers and only one person ringing up people's orders. Other employees seem lost while the manager is doing other things instead of directing their staff or jumping in to provide great customer service. At apex I stood and watched my order sit there for almost 15 min. I asked the manager who was more intErested to beginning the closing duties if I could get my order and her response was "yeah. In a minute." Not great service. Overall ok casino.

I absolutely love how close Red Hawk is to home but the beautiful scenic location makes it feel like a real getaway. The rooms are super clean and newish, definitely recommend booking a sunset view room, the views are stunning! One of the best parts is how kid friendly this resort is. Honestly, the kids quest alone deserves 5 stars. My husband and I love being able to drop our kids off there while we enjoy a relaxing dinner date. And when we pick them up? They never want to leave! Its such a fun, safe place for them. Also, the games at the arcade, especially the claw machines pay out well. My kids always win great prizes there. The service here has always been top notch. Every staff member we've interacted with has been friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend Red Hawk for families, and couples or anyone looking for a local escape that feels like a vacation.

We stopped by Red Hawk on the way home from Sly Park. My friends first time there. She loved it. We played some slots and walked around. The place is filled with good vibes. They have self serve coffee and soft drinks.Heard from someone in the elevator the rooms are amazing. Great hospitality. We will be back.

Absolutely love Red Hawk Casino! The dealers are awesome super friendly, fun, and keep the energy high at the tables. Service is incredible; staff goes out of their way to make sure you’re having a great time and never waiting long for anything. The whole place is spotless, beautifully maintained, and has such a vibrant, exciting vibe. Tons of game options, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay all night. Easily my favorite casino can’t wait to come back!

We actually came up on a bus casino run so I can't speak about the rooms, but the service was excellent during my time there. The place is large and spacious. I didn't feel crowded at the slots or tables. The noise was "excitement inspiring" but not so loud that it would become irritating after being exposed to it for hours on end. Looking forward to the next trip up. PS: I found an old 1940-S wheat back penny there. 🙂

this is a overall fun place with free drinks, many slots and card games. Also many amazing restaurants. The kids arcade is a fair price and incredibly fun, I've enjoyed all of the 263 times I've been here. Plus there's a newer resort with bowling, another arcade, a bar, pizza and go carts which are just terrific. Would recommend for a family attraction.

Well don't go on a holiday weekend...it would be much better on a week day, I have and we enjoyed ourselves

I've been going to Apple Hill for 30+ years. There are bake shops, crafters, fresh fruits and vegetables, food, wineries and so much more. The atmosphere is refreshing, fun, happy, exciting and peaceful. The Fall/Winter time is the busiest time of the year. Some places are closed during the Spring and Summer, but the ones that are open offer lots of summer fruits and you'll always find great Apple pie and other fruit pies. Apple Hill is an amazing beautiful experience. You definitely will be taking a lot of pictures.

Like visiting family. This is a great place, just don't come on Saturdays, they are closed. They have THE BEST cream cheese apply pie YUM!!!

We visit on the first Sunday of September, always. There aren't as many apple varieties available at this time, but there are certainly enough to make the visit worthwhile. They also have pears and berries available. The Bakeshop is magical, offering so many unique treats (slice of Dutch sour cream apple-berry pie, anyone?). We've also visited in October and bought plenty of specialty frozen pies and served them for Thanksgiving. Whether you're visiting for fruit or baked goodies or beautiful scenery and a picnic, you won't regret a stop here.

One of my favorites in the apple hill area of growers. I always get a 3lb bag of honeycrisp apples and Bartlett pears. Delicious. They have a bakery/restaurant that serves excellent lunch combos and apple pie slices with tasty cinnamon sauce. Plenty of seating is available out of the sun. A wonderful day trip for the family

What a wonder time. Only made it to a few farms as there is so much to see and do. Will definitely be making this trip again. Also, thank you so much as we came on Nevada Day not knowing it is celebrated there, and was so welcomed as we are from Reno. ❤❤

Always a great little get away from the bay area. Larsens' is always a good go to. Apple donuts, cider juice and pies are amazing! Covid has many of these places closed, but few remain open. Support these small businesses in these unprecedented times.

Definitely a nice experience. The volunteers are always super helpful and the bathrooms are clean. Sometimes it can get really crowded but if you know when to go it's not too bad. Try to go when the Moon is not halfway or full so you can get much more viewing experience if you're trying to look at stars and always pack a jacket or a light blanket just in case if you're going to be out there. Stargazing in that round seating situation

Love this place. I came here the night of my birthday and it was such a treat. The volunteers were friendly and very informative, and it was amazing getting to see images of nebulas and sightings of stars through the telescopes!

A neat and fun experience for sure. Telescopes were provided to see Saturn, the Moon, and other stars more clearly. The volunteers talked about different stars and constellations in detail. It was all fascinating and it’s all free. Fridays and Saturdays volunteers are there currently from 9-11pm. They are friendly and will answer your questions. For the best star sightings visit around the time of a new moon.

Had an excellent time. No moon on this night made for better visibility to see Saturn and the Milky Way. Friendly guides.

Love this observatory! The dedication of the docents and staff is inspiring. I've seen a lot of incredible views through those telescopes. "Sky theater" presentations are a really nice addition. Small but mighty observatory.

I love this place! Great place for adults and date nights. Probably not a good place for children as this is done late at night and could be pretty boring for little ones. There are no tickets to buy. Check their listings for event nights and times. A great place to relax and look at the stars and planets.

I'm kind of shocked to see how busy this location despite the small portion size and kinda gross eating area. It seems quite well staffed so I'm not sure why the bathroom is rough and the dinning area is not clean. The girl who took my order did follow with welcoming me in, but she seemed to just be in a bad mood. Maybe she isn't a people person. She even had the same attitude when making food for a fellow worker. The portion size here is horrifying small. Sure load up on the cheese and sour cream but nothing else. And why is the carne asada cold and you rang it up as a burrito and not a bowl. W.e kids

Firstly I love chipotle and some but few of the people who work here are kind, patient and hardworking. Unfortunately it seems like those kind people never last long there. Instead those peoples spots are filled with rude, inpatient, and pushy crew. Today around 6 ish I got two bowls. I come in here often and I've never said a thing but unfortunately the service today was VERY pushy and dismissive. There is one person in particular who has always been like this. Square glasses lady(I'm sorry I don't know your name), please stop telling your staff not to do normal portions. If I'm paying nearly 40 dollars for two bowls and you're giving me 1/4 of a spoon per ingredient that just straight ripping not only me but A LOT of other people off. Not only that but when you ask for "extra" is not even a little bit more it's more like a piece and you get charged EXTRA...... Look at your views. The service and portions are sad. And to the manager, poor life into your employees. Give them a reason to actually want to come into work that day. I've been coming here for years and it's just gotten worse as time goes by. Please do better we are grateful for you guys and would love to support but not don't expect that if you're doing the opposite all the time.

This Chipotle is the most convenient for us, so we visit here regularly. If I remember to, I try and order online as it can get pretty busy. When you order online you don’t have to wait in line, just go right to the cashier and boom, done. Today I ran in around 5pm. Nobody there. Super fast. Parking was easy. Staff is usually courteous and helpful. I have picky eaters and it’s nice to be able to custom tailor everything, even if it’s just the basic rice, beans and cheese in a bowl. They even add extra rice or beans if asked. Restaurant is usually kept pretty tidy. We love Chipotle.

The food is really good. The service is courteous and prompt. It is usually busy, but the line moves at a good pace. The atmosphere is decent. Im guessing things get a little backed up during busy times, so the restock process happened after I left. The bathroom door in the far corner could use some help.

So I work directly across the street from this location but I will NEVER go there again not once but twice have I been behind someone that ordered the EXACT same item as me and I was served a kids portion for the same price of the person in front of me who received a KINGS portion. I’m done I work hard for my money.

Went on August 31. Worst Chipotle I’ve been to as far as food goes. My burrito bowl was basically all rice and had maybe five pieces of chicken. Chipotle is supposed to be my safe food, but I can’t go to this location anymore because that was disgusting.

Always quick and the restaurant is usually clean and tidy. Only bad part is that the protein is never enough. Double protein is needed but costs extra.

Fantastic fish tacos, great salsa with a nice spicy kick to them, small cozy place inside a store. Must go for all Mexican food lovers.

I really like this place but you can’t charge $3.50 a taco as carne asada and be putting ground beef. Half the meat in the taco is ground beef. I can make that at home for a fraction of the price. I’m trying to buy steak tacos. There’s two pieces of steak at the top of that and rest is ground beef.

I forgot to take a picture bc the food was so good but every time I travel from Fresno I have to stop for the best Mexican food in California. 20/10 recommend. All the meats are marinated and seasoned the best you’ll ever taste and cooked perfectly.

Awesome Mexican food. I had carne asada tacos 😙🤌🏼. I can't wait to go back and try the Menudo. Another thing about this spot, I can pickup some groceries. Talk about killing two birds with one stone 🤣. Oh and they have a quality meat department👍🏼. I guess you all know where I'm buying my meats for Supper Bowl,cook outs, and really anything that has to do with cooking meats. 🤪🔪

They've got everything you need for a Mexican kitchen. Their meats are averagely priced, boarding on cheap, but some of their other goods are a bit more expensive, like their cheeses. The overall vibe was a little cluttered and crowded, but the service was quick.

Great place to Eat! We had breakfast burrito and eggs with carnitasl. Both excellent. Burrito was stuffed with everything- it's huge.

What a beautiful day we had! Boa Orchards was packed on the gorgeous Sunday. I walked out with some amazing goodies. Then we went to Pine O Mine and relaxed in the shade on a nice picnic bench under the pines. Listened to live music and had tasty food, cider and wine. We sat until the place closed. Awesome day!

Have been coming to Apple Hill for close to 30 years now, it is an absolute must-do in the fall!!! Highly recommend going wine tasting, there are some incredible wineries throughout the area!! High Hill Ranch is probably our favorite, but Rainbow Ranch, Boa Vista Orchards and Able's Acres are also must-visit places for us to get cider, apple donuts and fritters, plus all of the amazing crafts. It is busy in the fall so pack your patience and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Great place to bring the kids and get some great pictures.

We had such a lovely time at the farm! 🍁 The donuts were warm and delicious, the coffee was great, and the pumpkin ice cream was amazing! 🎃 The pumpkins were beautiful and the whole place felt so cozy and festive. Definitely coming back next fall!

At Acres they have gold panning, a maze and good food! Not to busy today, Sunday Sep. 14th. But word to the wise, it gets ridiculously busy up here most weekends during the summer. Plan wisely.

Such a fun family day. Pricey but families can picnic and explore for free.If you can afford it support the vendors.

Wonderful hidden gem in the Sierra Foothills. Knowledgeable staff and patio with a view, best of all? Their wines are amazing. They are consistent medal winners for good reason. So happy being a wine club member here.

All around this was a good winery great views and atmosphere. We did come in an hour before closing so 4pm we arrived. We had two tastings but were rather rushed out of there by 4:45. With the amount of money that you spend at these places it's odd to be rushed out. I reassured the waitress that we would be out before closing. Changed the way I thought about my first experience here.

Love this winery but it’s a huge turn off to come here for wine tasting because most places waive the tasting fee with a bottle purchase. A lot of my friends feel the same, we’d come here a lot more if they did this as well.

We joined the club last year after attending a birthday party for a friend. It’s very reasonably priced and we can’t say enough great things about the winery. Cute, down to earth and the staff is amazing. Their wines are amazing and we love the monthly membership only party. Visit them, you won’t be disappointed.

Absoultely beautiful! Wine is so good! Great views of the landscape and Tahoe. The staff was super sweet! The tastings are only $5 for 6 wines and a glass is $7.50! You can also bring your own food and picnic. It’s perfect!!

Another great visit, sunshine in the valley, started snowing when we got there! Super service moving us into their barn for the first time ever! Great folks making great wine!

Excellent patio to enjoy some wine. We did the wine tasting and had a great experience with Jeff. The tasting is $15 but waived if you buy a bottle. You are able to see the vineyard almost all the way to the river. Clean bathrooms. They did have boxes food. The tasting includes white and red, east for everyone to find something they like.

Visited on 11/21/2023 around 3:00 PM and there until close. Upon arrival immediately had a friendly greeting with the hostess and a welcome glass of white wine. We were lucky and had a seat available on the front with a perfect view. John was our sommelier and he was an absolute pleasure. We had such great conversation with him. My husband and I did wine tastings with some cheese and crackers. Each of the wines were delicious- not one that we did not like. It’s not often you come across a tasting where you love each wine. It was also great the tasting fee would be waived if you decide to buy bottles, which is a wonderful deal. We did get two bottles of wine (their Syrah and Merlot- both so good!). We did not know we would be catching one of the most beautiful sunsets I have ever seen. Born and raised in Roseville, Placerville has always been a quick getaway to enjoy the peace, quiet and views. I’ve seen plenty of beautiful sunsets but something about this location, the grapevines and mountains surrounding the cotton candy skies was breathtaking. The hospitality of this winery is what initially impressed us (after coming from Starfield- see my review there as well). Overall, the hospitality, kind nature of all employees, wine, snacks and view, 10/10 would recommend. You will not be displeased; just disappointed you can’t stay there all day and night to soak up the wine and beauty. Thank y’all for such a great time!

Such a beautiful and serene winery. I love everything here. Chris my somm was such an easy going guy and welcoming. I love how he was knowledgeable and warmth. Lots of great wine here and I ended up becoming a member because I can definitely see myself and my friends hanging out here on the weekends. A good stop if you are in Placerville area. We brought our group of 50 people to this lovely winery, nestled in the sierra foothills above Placerville. It was beyond amazing! The patio overlooking their beautiful vineyard, the staff was so attentive and the wine was perfection. Thank you Lava Cap, we can't wait to come back! Patty's Tours

Second time here had a pretty great experience. Their wines are good, not perfect but hovering somewhere between 88-92. A couple of them - for example, the Mourvedre, are really good and I'd give them a higher score. I want to rate the winery on the experience and not just the wine though. Having good wine in California isn't enough to make you a 5 star winery. So, while this may very well be one of the best producers in the Placerville area, let's talk about the winery itself. Tastings are generous, and staff is friendly. The atmosphere is top tier. Me and my partner felt comfortable enough on our second visit to bring charcuterie makings, a blanket and a picnic basket. Their 6 complimentary tastings wine club benefit is premium and the 15$ tasting (waived if you buy a reasonably priced bottle) is also a refreshing contrast to the 40-70$ they're charging in Napa. A few wines are what I like to fall recipe wines but there's quite a few hidden gems on their roster so I encourage you to taste as many as they let you and buy a sampling of their other bottles if you can afford it. I hold a very high standard for 5 stars for winery and restaurants so the 4 I'm giving Lava Cap is very good. Their snacks are priced very fairly and I didn't feel bad about buying a few to compliment the snacks we already brought. They're dog friendly and very accommodating. Bernie ushered us through the tasting and that was great. Unlike some of the more top tier experiences they don't hold your hand through the tasting process and give you backgrounds on each of the wines. For some this is a positive and others enjoy the more hands off tasting experiences. All in all - a very pleasant experience. I'd love to see a "blind taste" flight option as I find those extremely fun but it's a rarity in today's scene.

Wonderful family and Winery. The wine itself is bright and refreshing due to the unique soil found on the mountain. If you’re looking for small bites they have a quaint selection of meats/cheeses/crackers. You can also bring your own picnic. Many fruit vendors can be found along the road to the winery to take with you as well!

The wines are wonderful and the service was excellent. As the weather was bad, the lady at counter (she is married into the family), allowed us into the backroom where we could sit to taste and enjoy our food!

Today was my third or fourth visit to Starfield Vineyards. I missed their custom of greeting you with a glass of sparkling when you enter their tasting room. I was also disappointed to hear that the kitchen had been closed as a recall, how incredible our meals were in the past. That being said, atmosphere, environment and views cannot be beaten. I love that there’s walking paths to explore their vineyards, and of the lake with the lily pads. We enjoyed the charcuterie plate however were charged extra when we asked to add the Manchego cheese which we’d had on the last visit. Joe was our server and he seemed well educated with all the wines. My favorite wine of the pouring was Big Canyon. When we reached the lake we learned it was National Grenache Day (who knew?) so were each poured a nice taste of their Grenache.

Visited on 11/21/2023. This winery is truly a gem and one of the most beautiful wineries I have been to. The owners plan for this is stellar. I was there in the day time so unfortunately did not get to experience the night views which would have lightening everywhere. The trails are unique and gorgeous at this time of year with the color changing of leaves. Everywhere you look there is a gorgeous view 365 degrees around. It feels so calm and refreshing. Although the winery itself I would give 5/5, I am giving a 3/5 stars due to the lack of hospitality and feeling they cater more towards wine club members than those of us who are not. I’m also comparing this to other wineries in the area. I arrived at the winery around 1:30 PM. No tasting availability although they did not seem too busy to do a tasting. We were asked to sit anywhere we would like outside, no restrictions given, so we sat on the sofa patio furniture. Host stated he would come bring us water. It was 19-20 minutes after did we receive water. He did say he was sorry but got busy with others. There were two individuals working. 1 group outside, 1 tasting being done inside, our group, and maybe 1-2 other couples and group of 3- I’d say this is a manageable. We must have been sitting outside for ~ 30-35 minutes when the host comes to us for the second time (first time to give us water) to let us know we had to move seats because our seats were for wine club members only, so had to move to the patio table and chairs. Again, host stated he was sorry he didn’t tell us earlier- which tells me he was aware since 1) we were there for ~ 20 minutes and then he brought water and 2) did not tell us to move at the time water was brought. Moving was not an issue but rather the lack of care or hospitality felt- again catered towards wine club members. This was a Tuesday afternoon and not busy. Again, this place is gorgeous. Photos do not do it justice! Truly a place to visit because it is a unique winery and a favorite of mine in terms of what it offers, but if you are looking for a welcoming feeling as most wineries in Placerville provide, do not expect that. Just enjoy the views and you will not be disappointed!

What a beautiful place! The wine wasn't my favorite, but for a $10 tasting I'm not complaining. I did really enjoy the Barbero and the Spirit of the Gods dessert wine. We also ordered the charcuterie plate which was pretty good. But honestly you need to go walk around the property, that's where Starfield shines. Ellie was super knowledgeable and fun 😁

Beautiful new winery that has stunning landscaped grounds. The tasting room is brand new, and has extensive outside seating - it is stylishly done but understated compared to the other design aspects of the winery. The pavilion on the lake, the amphitheater and walking trail through the pines are all impressive. The wines is good with the red blend Miners Inch an easy drinking option and the rose is pretty exceptional, especially on a warm California day. Lunch options are now available and the food was really fantastic, utilizing fresh produce ingredients from 24 Carrot farm shop just across the road. Dog friendly. Happy that we are members!

Everything was perfect ! Wine ,pizza, and music! Starfield is gorgeous and the weather was perfect! The staff were very nice and friendly! We will definitely be going back!

Excellent views from their serving area that looks out over the hillsides. Steven was very informative and the cheese pairing were a nice touch. Five wines with decent servings in the tasting. Had lunch under the tree . Three of us had the French dip, very tasty. I got the peach mochi donuts. Voted best dessert at the table.

An absolute must-visit! Gorgeous views, decadent wines (don't miss Spirit of the Gods if you enjoy dessert wine) and a very friendly dog-loving team.

Went there for the you pick flowers. They were priced 7 dollars for 10 stems and although the sun flowers were gone(it was just the end of the season) there were still lots of other flowers to choose from and get a nice bouquet. The flower garden was smaller than I expected. They also had pick your own pumpkin in a patch and tomato picking in the summer. Very cute but small farm. I recommend going earlier in the respective picking season since it isn't that big.

After tasting at Starfield Winery across the road, it was a must to revisit this sweet farm stand. The property is lovely and includes a frog pond. One can select & cut 10 stems of their beautiful garden flowers for $7. We love the colorful zinnias. Their rosemary bread is delicious so I definitely purchased a loaf. I also selected some perfectly ripe tomatoes. The staff are helpful and friendly.

Had such a great time picking pumpkins with our 9 month old. Loved the oversized wagons, it was great for him to ride in with the pumpkins. I do recommend bringing a nice comfy blanket for your littles to sit on in the wagon. Can't wait to make this a new tradition.

Was there today and was very pleasantly surprised! The strawberry patch isn’t huge, but there is A LOT of strawberries, so do not let the size turn you away. All strawberries are ripe and very sweet and aromatic - a lot better than what Whole Foods currently has. The size of berries is small to medium, but you get no white (unripe) middle at all! They also have fruits and plants for sale at the stand. I highly recommend and will be back 100%. Also, the U-pick strawberries look different from what they have for sale at the stand, and I only tried the u-pick ones, so can’t say anything about the already picked ones.

Amazing produce and grocery items at the cutest spot with the best staff and owners. I come every week and stock up! They have really cute gift options too.

Great produce, friendly knowledgeable staff. If your out that way skip the busy Boa Vista and get super local produce, veggie starts, honey and breads just off the beaten path. When we drive up to Apple Hill from Sacramento we get off 50 at exit 49 (not HWY 49) and 24 Carrot is right there on our way to Carson Rd and other Apple Hill favorites.

I haven’t been to the vineyards around Placerville for about 25 years- I just moved back from NYC - my Father wanted to show me around Boeger and it did not disappoint. The grounds are amazing - I truly did not understand why my father was so excited about a fig tree until I saw the 125 year old fig tree. Wade took care of my father and I for two wine tastings and it was an incredible experience (as well as the rest of the staff). They were very knowledgeable, understanding of high end hospitality and the experience people are expecting. I would let Wade or any staff member guide you but the Barbera is a must. We will definitely be back and look forward to events in the future!

Great winery with some good wines. Love how this winery is some where you can have a picnic, bring your own food but purchases bottles from the winery. On a gorgeous day sitting outdoors and watching bunch of different groups drinking wine play games, doing trivia was fun. Service is great, the whole team is spread out through the venue with happy to help attitude. Great vibe with great wine.

Really great winery. Went to Boeger after a hike with family right before Thanksgiving . The setting is gorgeous. We really enjoyed the wine. Our recommendation is that you pair a bottle or a few glasses with a charcuterie tray and make a picnic of it.

I recently visited Boeger Winery as part of my holiday to Northern California, and it was the perfect place to relax and unwind. I was feeling quite stressed out from my travels, but the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings at the winery really helped to calm my nerves. Even though I didn't sample any of the wines, I did enjoy a delicious hot chocolate that I brought from home. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and they gave us a fantastic tour of the winemaking facilities. The tasting room was cozy and inviting, and I appreciated the opportunity to relax and enjoy my hot chocolate in such a lovely setting. The winery also has a picturesque garden and patio area where you can sit and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

I've utilized village square for everything from food to fashion however what i enjoyed so much more as a young man was the hundreds of stonings i witnessed and participated in the hangtown village square...ahh "the good ol days".

I used to proudly bring people in for family dinners or dates here but something has majorly changed. Lately I've had several lackluster experiences and I don't think I'll go back. This most recent time we came in between lunch and dinner and there really wasn't a lot going on, so while we anticipated waiting a little bit (we were not in a hurry, and notable that they literally have signs posted saying you'll wait 30 minutes for sushi...) we were watching the sushi guy talk with friends instead of making sushi. Picture it dwindling down to one other party in the whole place and we can literally see that they're not making any sushi. When it finally did come out, the salmon nigiri was NOT fresh tasting - yikes. While our waitress offered to correct the part of the order that they had misread/not made correctly, which was appreciated, at that point we didn't want to wait longer (who knows how long) for the quality of fish. So, while the waitress was very nice and apologetic for both the wait and the error, there's not much that can salvage the rest of the experience. I can understand being patient but not when the sushi staff is just, not working, for an extended period of time? I feel like the quality issue is new, however - prior, service fluctuated, especially when it was busy, but quality was not questionable. I understand there are off days but it's been 3 not great experiences in a row and the not-fresh salmon sealed the deal unfortunately.

Worse experience ever! I used to love this place. Food was thrown together, took 40 minutes. Asked the male member of staff for soy sauce, he decided to ogle a female in front of her boyfriend instead. Even when I walked passed him to get what I needed from another area and said, dreadful service he didn’t flinch! Not bothering with place again. Such a shame, it used to be good.

The food never disappoints, and the server was friendly and on point. The lunch rush is usually pretty busy, but this visit was low key. I liked that my coworkers and I didn't have to shout to be heard when talking to each other.

We enjoy sitting at the sushi bar and talking with the sushi artists. Sushi is always good, and they will make whatever you like. Our go-to sushi place in Placerville.

Best Sushi we have ever eaten. The price is great and the rolls not only have beautiful presentation but they taste unbelievable. The staff is amazing right from the owner to the chiefs right down to the waiters/waitresses all are amazing.

Absolutely HORRIBLE! Took my baby and Mom for Mother’s Day lunch. When we walked in we were not greeted by any of the service members. Once seated we waited 10 min to be acknowledged. Then the waitress ANSWERED HER PHONE while taking our order. Super weird vibe with “Gangsters Paradise” blaring from the speakers. The chef was just hanging out with buddies at the Sushi bar. Clearly not working, messing around. He even was using a walkie talkie to loudly communicate with the back of the kitchen to turn the music up. There was one other table and they were complaining that their order wasn’t correct. The hostess/waitress was aloof. After an HOUR I asked to cancel the order while I was walking my fussy baby around the restaurant. The chef said my food was ready (which was a lie) and quickly through it together while I paid. After paying the food still wasn’t done. When we got home it was OLD DRY RICE with sketchy smelly fish. Our stomachs hurt with it 15 minutes. Clearly we will never go back.

First time here for brunch, and we were super excited to try it out. The atmosphere is definitely incredible. Charming and comfortable. We arrived and were seated at 12:46pm. I was excited to try their brunch, but they didn't come by our table for anything until after 1pm and they'd stopped serving brunch. No problem. I had a backup. I ordered the sourdough bread basket with the tomato butter. Yeah, no. Apparently that's a misprint on their lunch menu, and they didn't have any bread baked. Fine. I ordered the Caesar salad. But the romaine lettuce was old and slimy, and I found a hair in it. Yes, technically the salad was still edible, but if I'm going to a nicer place I have higher expectations. Partner ordered the jalapeño burger and fries. The burger was fine, nothing special, but the fries were oily and floppy. DEFINITELY not worth $24, I can get a better burger at Carl's Jr. for half the price. Lady at the table next to us that had a dog in a stroller that barked anytime anyone got close. Will say, server was kind throughout, and removed our drinks from the tab. But the bill still came to about $50 before tip. I don't know how the $24 burger and $12 salad comes to $50, but whatever. Really disappointed in our overall experience and in the quality of the food. If you want to market yourself as a more upscale experience, then you need to follow through.

As a Placerville resident, you want to support local businesses and one that has a good reputation in the community. Tonight was utterly disappointing. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and made reservations at 6:30pm. Our server didn’t engage with us or ask if we were celebrating anything. We ordered drinks and food promptly, and then proceeded to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food (salmon and a steak). My wife’s steak came out well done even through she ordered medium rare. Our waiter seemed to be purposely avoiding us and never came to refill our drinks or check on us. I voiced my concerns and received a very lackluster response from the waiter. Then to add more insult to the night, when we finally got the check, the waiter proceeded to fill up my glass of water and left my wife’s empty…. Very disappointed in the service at Smith Flat House. Not a great way to celebrate an anniversary. Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

We had our wedding rehearsal luncheon at Smith Flat House and the event was a huge hit! The ambiance, food, bar and service was outstanding. We are so happy and grateful to have our special event go so well and smoothly. We are very thankful for the excellent service.

My fiance and I ate here for the first time tonight. We will absolutely be back! One of the best meals we have had! We both got the filet and it was incredible. The spinach artichoke dip is also divine! The food, service and atmosphere make this one of the best spots in the area!

One of the areas' best restaurants. Great food excellent service. Large and beautiful outdoor patio seating, and a historic stone cellar dining room with a real well from the 19th century. Loads of history, this was a pony express stop and has been running in some format over 150 years. Also Great live music selected nights. A favorite for weddings and large events.

Odd place. I went to see my friend's band play. All seating in the courtyard. No bar to get a drink and just enjoy the music. Had to put my name in for a table. Fortunately, after a while, the hostess (didn't get her name) was extremely kind and sent the bartender out to get a drink for me. Bartender made a good Manhattan. When I did get seated, Maria was awesome and the food was good. Loved the wedge salad. Crab cakes were a bit dry, but still good.

Smith Flat House was the venue of a wedding I recently attended. Everything was incredible, including the staff. I'll definitely get back there for a dinner and sit next to the haunted well. Can't wait!

I’ve always driven by this place but just recently decided to try it out. First thing to say.. They have the BEST COUNTRY GRAVY! I always try ordering biscuits & gravy for brunch & am often disappointed. However this place has the tastiest gravy I may have ever tasted. I tasted like it was made in bacon grease (which is a good thing, & maybe how they actually make it!) The teriyaki chicken was delicious, as well as their bacon. On top of that, There staff is really nice & helpful. They are definitely running this place with their customers in mind. Of course the VIEW is beautiful. We thought the food would be mediocre because they emphasize the view at this restaurant, but both were great. Looking forward to coming back 🥓🍳🍽

1st time here. Great view outdoors. Friendly staff. Stopped by for lunch after camping. Ordered the pastrami reuben w a fried egg. Good amount of pastrami and sauerkraut. The eggs made it a little messy but worth it. My friends enjoyed their chicken fried steaks and omelettes.

Wednesday lunchtime my Apple Lady sandwich was quite tasty, and so was the Mid-western Chili. My wife's Clam Chowder was seriously lacking clams. Her choice, I usually avoid Clam Chowder this far inland. Server was friendly and efficient. Beverages arrived promptly but wait time for food seemed a bit long with so many open tables. Dog friendly patio service appreciated. Upon arrival we waited next to the entrance door by a sign which, IIRC, indicated "wait to be seated." After a few minutes my wife went inside to announce we're waiting while I stayed outside with our 10-pound pup. I could see the patio with a chain baring entrance and behind it a waitress or two saw us standing there. Finally someone removed the chain and we were seated without having to go inside. This establishment needs to improve the on-boarding process! While doing that consider buying and using a leaf blower on the patio. I know it's Autumn but the debris on the patio floor had been there awhile.

This place is great for breakfast with an amazing view of the mountains, looking out to nature is my favorite part. I drive from Sacramento to here for a taste of greatness. The perfect combination of food, Nature, live music on Sunday and customer service. I myself go for the Steak sandwich, which in my opinion it has being one of the best ones I tasted so far. Everything I had tasted here has been great, customer service is always great. Service must be on its best if im driving from Sacramento. Coffee wasn’t good, but not terrible. It would be nice if there was a different coffee available! Overall it’s always an great experience. Thank you. Ill be back soon again.

I had the Apple Lady sandwich.Toasted bread, sauteed apple slices, sweated white onion, pairs nicely with melted Swiss, pastrami and turkey. I had clam chowder instead of Fry's. Hubby had club sandwich, huge sandwich, tasted great ! His steak Fry's we're nice also. Waitress was friendly, service great !

We visited Apple Bistro because we knew it was under new ownership. The place is clean & tidy. Lots of renovations to the patio. Great scenery. And the food came out hot (as it should), the portions were the right amount. And the food has a great flavor! On Monday 11/4, I ordered the City Scramble & my fiance had the Veggie burrito. We enjoyed our food so much we brought his parents the very next day. Attached are pictures of our 2nd time there.

We were so disappointed with this place. When we walked in it took about 5 minutes for someone to greet us and seat us. After we were seated it took our server 30 minutes to come and take our drink and food order which was absolutely ridiculous considering there were only 4 other tables with people at them. The presentation of the food looked very unprofessional too. The whole experience was disappointing but the views from the patio were nice.

Lovely little diner. Good food, great service. Not fancy, but we were looking to get fed, not entertained.

There's a sign over the cash register area with a funny saying regarding Take it or Leave it! Definately Leave It! Downtown Placerville is a little tourist spot so I wanted to find a breakfast place locals would go to. Google has Golden Waffle Cafe as a 4 star, $ (single $)! It is Not! It is (most) 2 star and $$! They offer a common diner menu. Unfortunately, they over charge for poor quality food. Ex...the BLT had two (2) strips of bacon for $11+. Grilled chicken & cheese sandwich was @$12+ for a Where's-the-chicken sandwich. The fries were So Bad my tweenage grandson, who's in his food frenzy years, Didn't Eat Them! Scrambled eggs are scrambled, then fried hard on a grill and chopped up. For the price they charge I could have gone to a nice touristy spot with better quality for the price! Picks were posted for reference. It's definitely a Leave It!!!!

The food was very good. The wait staff are friendly but not well trained on the basics of being a server. Took a long time to get our coffee, forget a refill. Took a long time to order. Forty minutes to get our food. Tables were left not bussed all around us. None of our empty plates were ever taken. When raising some concerns, we were met with a lot of excuses and blame on the kitchen. We will not be back.

I would not recommend eating here at all What a rip-off your fresh fruit topping is frozen preserves my order meal to go came with burnt bacon Topping the waffle on the side but I did not order. Dirty napkins from syrup being spilled are the topping that was in an additional dish rather than being served as ordered $32 for one person I had the most horrible experience the food was horrifically terrible and I would advise not eating here. The service pathetic In addition if you like having your food served to you cold go for it.

We had a really great breakfast here. So many options! This place has an oldschool look and feel. The service was extremely prompt and very friendly. Looking forward to returning

I walked in to the establishment, tumble weeds could be seen, the sound of the old west could be heard as I entered (imagine a john Wayne bar scene) I was staring at people left and right, they stared at me... I sat down with a grim stare and asked the waitress "I'll have the strongest drink you have". She replied "ummm sir, I think you're in the wrong place, this is the Golden waffle cafe, I can bring a coffee if you'd like?"...I stared menacingly and replied...Ok! That sounds delicious! Anyway, Awesome place to come and have a good waffle, eggs, and just plain good ole classic breakfast. Give them a try!

Not really sure how to rate a County Fair. It was crowded, expensive, and fairly filthy. That said, where else can you see mutton busting, watch your 2 year old granddaughter be infatuated with petting goats, stroll through rooms of handmade quilts, and eat some incredibly good ice cream. It's a good little County Fair. I knocked it down a bit because they seemingly don't even try to clean the tables. Hard to find a decent place to eat.

Malicious Monster Trucks!!! That was such a blast event! I brought my two kids and my husband, and the joy the light up their faces was pretty amazing! We lost most of our voices by the end from all the cheering, but we had a blast! Spitfire was our favorite and by far the best, and Skeletor had an awesome driver!! Oh and hell ya for T'd off was wicked cool and extremely loud! Every bit was worth the money!!

This morning my dog and I were here, as we are most day and we noticed a couple of guys. They were suspect looking. I watched them for a minute cause they were at my garden. I saw Tristian also watching. He called for someone else to come with him to check on these guys. He arrived within seconds. Also arriving quickly was a sheriff I think. We left. I knew my garden would be safe. I just want to Thank Tristian and Eric for their quick response. I never feel unsafe walking here. There are workers all the time and they keep a watchful eye. I also wanted to acknowledge the ladies that clean the restrooms. They are friendly and do an amazing job. I don't think I have ever seen the restrooms dirty. This is a wonderful place to have in this area to walk with or without a dog. Its very safe and very clean. Placerville does lack in parks so this is a gem. Thank you everyone

It was okay. The parking is definitely limited and it's a weird location geographically speaking. This causes the layout to be rather confusing feeling and not so easily accesoble across the grounds. Not as good as the grounds in Roseville or Discovery Park, but it was still lots of fun! We will be back for the door next year. ☺️

Jun 12, 2025. Seniors and kids under 12 free. My husband and I had two 8 yr olds with us. Took the shuttle from Ray Lawyer at noon. Arrived at fair at 12:15. Lots of seniors in line of about 150+ and kids. They had 1 person searching every purse, fanny pack etc. We were probably around the 100th in line. It took an hour + to get to the search table. It was horrible...in the heat, no shade. There has to be another way to feed people thru your security line that is faster. It was a horrible experience and we could only stay for 2 hrs after that because we were exhausted. I needed to rant.

Always have a blast during Labor day weekend here(2 years now and will keep coming back)! Good Vibes, making new friends and enjoying some great music! What a great atmosphere and good people.

My family and I have been enjoying the productions of Imagination Theater for many years now and continue to appreciate all their efforts in bringing high-quality live entertainment to the stage. They clearly put a lot of time, energy and creative wizardry into every production, resulting in professional-level performances on a very small and limited budget.

Our family just watched Matilda last week. I don't normally enjoy musicals. This was a huge exception. Totally enjoyed the entire show. Very well composed, entertaining, excellent singing, great sound and lighting. Bella Milton was phenomenal. Great acting and singing. Played the role with full enthusiasm. Go Bella. Here younger sister Anna did a great job as well.

It's so fun to help support local theater. They do a great job. The seats are comfortable. Please go see a show so they can continue to give back to the community by give kids and adults a place to show what they got!

This theater is fabulous and we've never been let down. The actors are great! Always a treat to see a live performance! It's in a building on the grounds of the Fairgrounds. Lots of parking available. Small theater, but makes for a great time with family and friends. Very quaint and just wonderful! Great shows! Treat yourself!

Took a friend to see Grapes of Wrath this past week. It was incredible. I heard Lanny made it rain on stage, but I never expected a deluge! One of the very best scenes I've seen during a live performance - ever! I am always impressed with the caliber of the shows at IT, and they just keep getting better. I'm an IT fan!

I have been to a few shows (new in town). I am always amazed at the professionalism, stage decoration, costumes, & the spactacular local acting talent. Totally superb & enjoyable. Very proud of our tiny community theater! Love it thoroughly. I just wish there were more productions available to see.

If you want to experience and enjoy some really great local talent...Imagination Theater does not disappoint. Cast and crew of all ages join together to present to you their absolute best...each and every time!! Sit back enjoy the show or better yet... jump in, try out and be a part of it!!

We saw multiple classes of cars racing at this dirt track, sprint cars were our favorite. Really loud and fast, dirt flying everywhere. They moved through the classes very quickly and efficiently, pretty much non-stop racing. Food and drink available for decent prices, the popcorn was a bit off however. Leave your pocket knife in the car, they won't let you in otherwise. Great fun for racing fans!

It’s been about 5 years since I’ve been to P-Ville. The improvements they’ve made to their facility to improve the fan experience are awesome. Also, every employee I interacted with was great, from the front gate to the snack bar. They made my 4 year old happy. Great Atmosphere. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

My home Town Track. The best track to go watch some bada-- Dirt track racing. The drivers take time to see the fans for Autographs, pictures. Great Promoters, Happy hour with live bands. Great fun for the whole family. And very yummy food. I'd recommend the Polish dogs

Some Of The Companies At The Event Fair Had Training YOU Could Sign Up For To Become An Advocate Either Online ONLY or In-Person ONLY or Both. They Also Had E-Mail Sign Up Sheets To Learn More About Their Companies. They Had Help For Paroles, People On Probation or Having Court Issues or Referrals To Go There For Legal Help For Lawyer/Attorneys & The Police Officers Who Were Their Helping To Bring Awareness To The Community. We Loved Learning About ALL Of Them & Gaining Much NEEDED & WANTED Resources.

ASTHMA SUFFERERS BEWARE. PARENTS WITH SMALL KIDS BEWARE. How does this place have such high ratings? THERE IS ONLY A SINGLE STALL FEMALE BATHROOM. Not only is that apalling, you CANNOT escape the cigarette smoke. Tonight, a mother in her 50s was posted outside the female's bathroom chainsmoking while her teen son held up the whole bathroom line. Smoking in the stands? Yup. Smoking under the stands? Yup. Smoking in the bathroom? Yup. Smoking in line for the food stand? Yup. Its the smell of freedom, y'all.

I’ve been shopping at this TJ Maxx from nearly the very beginning when they first opened. It’s one of my all time favorite TJ Maxxs. The inventory from clothes, kitchenware, linens, beauty products have been excellent; almost always a good selection. They carry quality products at discounted prices. Luv that. The store has a modern decor, comfortable shopping vibes, clean, and organized. Some staff are more helpful and outgoing than others. Plus I know the cashiers have to ask the customers if they want to open a credit card but can’t they just ask once.

Enjoy finding items that I usually buy but deep discounted. There is a " gourmet" condiment isle that is interesting. All sorts of kitchen tools that are interesting + new to market. I always check out the dog aisle for my Maltipoo.

I loved T.J.Maxx. Every time I’m off I always visit the store to check what’s new. My stress reliever place 😊

Regina wouldn’t let my daughter use a gift card I was FORCED TO be reimbursed with and proceeded to tell her she’d let her IF she signed up for a credit card. AFTER SHE SAID NO TWICE. Shame shame shame. I’ll never shop at tj max again.

Love riding motorcycle from the San Francisco Bay area for lunch at the Old Town Grill, browsing old and large hardware store, antique shops and art stores! Town is a bit touristy but has lots of history and atmosphere. Lots of picturesque back country, and winding roads. Large public parking garage that is free for 2 hours.

Great variety of shops, definitely something for everyone. Dining is, as expected, a table on the pricey side but well worth it. Weather is always great and people are always smiling and waving.

We absolutely loved our trip to gold bug park, gem panning was super fun (though the water was absolutely freezing… keep in mind for children) but the mine tour was amazing! Pop gave us such a good and memorable tour, made me feel comfortable because I’m very claustrophobic but was able to do the tour! Prices are great! And there’s a lovely picnic area too.

7-15-25 limited free parking lot with a rough estimate of 10 place, including, roofed pavilion , small clean gift shop with a small room size museum, to get a taste of gold rush era since 1880s. Mine entrance look cool with a mandatory 12 bucks ticket. Also there is a trail going up the hill which I was in hurry and couldn’t go.

Brought our 4th grade daughters to experience the gold mine since it’s a part of the history taught about California. The mine was a super cool experience even tho it is a short mine (you will probably only Spend 10-15 minutes inside). You listen to a pre-recorded audio as you slowly walk through which gives good info. It is very cold inside and wet so keep that in mind. The girls really enjoyed it!! Adults must wear a helmet as the mines ceilings are very low and you will hit your head if you’re not paying attention. The people working there were very nice and taught us a lot. Also, we visited the stampmill & blacksmith up the hill from the mine. A man I stampmill explained the process for getting from rock to the gold. The blacksmith showed us a demonstration to make a spoon from horseshoe nail. Pretty cool piece of history and the folks working there are really knowledgeable and helpful.

Staff were amazing and friendly, lots of jokes that were fun for all ages, had to wear a helmet if you were over 5 feet tall for safety reasons which was also appreciated! Great place for kids!

A nice smaller historic park with a few short trails to hike, an old stamp mill, and a smaller mine you can explore for $10 for a self guided audio tour. The rest of the park is free except for the mine, which is really the main attraction. The mine is a cool feature to see, and is worth doing the audio tour, however I wish it wasn't $10 per person. A $5 fee for the self guided tour seems more reasonable, or even a $5 fee for anyone to tour the park seems fair. Worth a visit if in Placerville, and if you have children.

Amazing experience. My favorite part was going into the mine tunnel. It was chilled, dark, and dripping with water. IT WAS GREAT. Tour guides (Stamp Mill/Black Smith Shop) were excellent too! I definitely recommend visiting this location. The fee is $12 per adult, $10 for veterans.

All the staff were very enthusiastic, love their job, and were really nice. Every staff member we talked to gave us tips on local travel. The mine and details were interesting, but the best part was the staff!!! So fun! The mine is nice and cool on a hot day!

Whether you're a Thai food lover or just curious, this place in the nice small town Placerville , right on the main st corner is a worthy try. No wait time on a Sunday , this place served quick and the service was prompt. We tried the Pineapple Chicken fried rice ( could have been a little more authentic better ) and red curry, both tasted good.

I order pad Thai with chicken. It literally taste like fish. Do you guys use the same pans/pots for all meat? Why does it taste so fishy…? This isn’t normal

The waitress that was behind the counter was lovely. This is a perfect place for someone who is gluten free/celiac. The portion size was great too. The place was clean and the prices were extremely reasonable. This is by far the best Thai food I've never had. Too bad we are were only visiting the area but this food was one of the highlights of our trip.

Our first time here and we will look forward to returning. Ordered the Chicken Thai Salad and the Yellow Curry "Hot" with Chicken. Perfect level of spice! Nice veggies, fresh lettuce and not too much dressing. Also got the Thai iced tea with boba- yum and very cooling after the spices.

One of us got our pizza the other had to be redone. So either a cold pizza to eat together (the reason we went out) or we ate alone. One pizza dry and hardly any cheese the other almost soupy with cheese. Round table in Cameron Park no one acknowledged us so we walked out. Just wanted pizza and salad and a lunch to visit

Dani was super helpful and friendly. She helped me design a pizza and offered me a discount. The store was clean, the service was fast and the food was great!

Now I understand why this place has raving reviews! They are 5 stars all around:) The staff were friendly and attentive, bathrooms stayed clean and the food was sooooo good! I love crab Benedict’s and this place had hands down the best I’ve ever tasted. Other places make it cake style but this place was just crab and surprisingly the tomatoes went really well with it. Also of course had to try the mimosas. We had the guava and pineapple passion :) definitely worth the drive to come here for the food!

Honestly, I loved everything about this place. Me and my buddy went here for breakfast, and it was great. We ordered Mimosa's and I ordered a churro waffle breakfast with a side of eggs and bacon. It was really good, and the food didn't take long to get out to us. They had plenty of seating options, and flat screen TVs to enjoy while eating or waiting for food. Parking is good but seems like they're popular so it may get full fast around breakfast and may to try and get a spot.

What a delicious treat: Annie’s Mimosas hits all the necessary must to make any customer happy. As a first time customer, and future customer as well eating here was just what we needed. Customer service was top notch, from the minute we walked IN to the minute we left the restaurant. The food was delicious, and unique in its away, the cook prepares the food as a collage of Mexican and American style cooking, putting in their own spin on it. In short words we love the food. My only complaint is the coffee, they need a coffee that brings everything together properly. The Mimosas was great, it was perfect according to my wife. I can’t believe I never been here. We will be back soon!!! A huge Thanks to the servers.

This place is amazing! The service was great and one of the workers brought out a bowl of water for my dog. (It was really hot outside) the drinks came fast and were served in chilled mason jars! The food came quick and it was DELICIOUS. The hash browns were perfectly seasoned and the French toast was amazing! I highly recommend this place! DEFINITELY GOING BACK💕💕

We often come here for breakfast but recently found out that Annie's is now open for dinner! We had to come over here to try dinner and we were not let down at all! It’s such a nice place to have breakfast. The outdoor sitting is huge and you can easily get a table. The menu is huge. A lot of choices. We got the skillet and the omelette. The service was nice and very fast. Highly recommend the fried potatoes. They are so good. And portion is big enough. The place has the good vibe that everyone is nice! Btw, easy to find the parking also.

The hamburger pattys were barely warm the cheese was not able to melt on my burger. Not like like in the pictures. The fries were alright a little warmer than the hamburger not much. But i ate it, while staring at in n out across the hwy. In n outs line was too long but next time we'll know ittl be worth the wait.

There was literally mold on the bottom of my bun... tried to call in and get someone on the phone but it doesn't seem like anyone can pick up. It tasted funny when I took my first bites and boom there it was. Make sure to check your food!

Just picked up an order for my family and they were super nice and quickly fixed a mistake on one of the burgers. Though after fixing this mistake they ended up forgetting my criss cross fries which I didn't notice until I got home. Thank goodness all the rest of the food was there, but only got fries for myself and left empty handed. 100% not worth it to go back but the turkey sandwich I just made isn't over priced and won't make my stomach hurt :) P.S. Still can't argue with the fact their service was top tier today!

I ordered delivery for my son & I through the Carls Jr app. I had ordered extra toppings on one of the burgers & you guys didn't put any at all, not even what would normally be on the burger. You guys messed up on the order and I have been trying to call and speak to someone since. I had immediately called when we received our order & saw the mistakes, but no one answered & no one has called back, & no one answered when I called earlier today either. It states on the receipt and I was charged for the toppings/extra toppings. I explained in my voicemail. How many times do I need to attempt to call before I can speak to a human to have this issue fixed?

They are usually pretty quick with your order. I have never gotten an order that was wrong. The staff is friendly but seemed rushed because of the rush of orders sometimes.

I was all ready to give 5 stars after giving out a lot of 1 star reviews to local fast food places. They were quick and friendly, burger looked good... until I went to move the wrapper after taking a few bites and noticed the bun is moldy... bleh.

A very nice park but there's a major safety concern with one of the slides on the play structure. There is a gaping hole with sharp plastic edges precisely where one's rear goes. Nothing here to stop someone from running up the stairs, located opposite the damaged slide, and sliding down. Anyone, adult or child who uses this slide WILL get hurt! I reported this issue to the City of Placerville. Hopefully it will be repaired soon.

Lions Park in Placerville, CA, is quite a gem. She's a beaut! The park was dedicated in 1968 by the Placerville Lion's Club. 24 acre park with two tennis courts, four pickle ball courts, two softball fields, frisbee disc golf course, children's play area, restroom, walking trail, and picnic tables and bbqs. The courts are locked though. City residents can purchase a key from the City's Parks and Recreation Office to access the courts. The park was extremely clean and well maintained. On my weekend visit, I was surprised to see a groundskeeper working on a weekend afternoon. He was no slacker. No wonder this place was so neat and tidy.

It was fun 4 adults and 3 boys under 7 3 Babies 👶... the photographer 📸 did great with all of us.. i even git a same day appointment.. it was a weekday though..

Lovely park with pickleball and frisbey golf. You will need to use the pickleball courts when someone else is there because they lock the courts. You can pay $10 for a lifetime key to use the courts. You go to city hall in downtown Placerville to get it!

I hesitate to write a bad review since I've been coming out for nearly 10 years. The staff is all great and amazing HOWEVER one RSO made all the difference in creating a horrible experience. Dale was blatantly prejudiced (I hate to say, racist?)... he was doing his job and then some. A shooter two lanes down shot a few rounds at rapid succession, less than one sec per trigger pull. He was commended! The whole time I was there I was helping my kids and I shot one clip. One shot every 2 seconds. I was yelled at in such fiery distain that all the lanes looked and stopped. What was the difference? I shot slower. I shot safely. My group was the only minority in the shop. In this current state of the world, it's not a good look. Or maybe it is? Even my kids asked what was wrong considering the other shooters firing off rounds faster than I. And it was their first time. Dale doesn't belong there. The rest of the staff is so wonderful. But they lost a customer and then some.

What a wonderful range to bring new and experienced shooters. As an experienced shooter the staff is really nice to talk to and bounce off ideas and hints that may help your shooting, but never judging. While new shooters get the piece of mind knowing there is a range safety officer there to help mitigate their mistakes or any others on the lanes. Really a great place to shoot.

Dale cleaned my old 22 rifle and generously gave me shooting tips on how best to use it. Everyone was so great! Felt like a true locals place that all were welcome. They also have an Archery range!!!

John has to be one of the most patient and nice humans we’ve had the pleasure of encountering! After chatting about rentals and wanting to learn more, we took the 60min private lesson and was blown away by how much we all learned and benefited from his instruction. Sometimes gun stores can have that stigma of “if you don’t know I don’t want to talk to you” but none of that existed here. They were kind, courteous and patient with us as we asked our dumb questions. Thank you John for the amazing Sunday!

Had a great experience being a first time shooter. Took the 30 mins instruction lesson and the instructor was amazing and made sure that we were at a good starting point. The staff was so friendly, welcoming and inclusive. They answered all our questions without rushing.

Beautiful scenery and wonderful set up for Christmas!! You can buy smores as well as wine taste. Wine was ok just not my type of flavors. Recommend going and experiencing the winery. Staff was very nice! Bathrooms are available ands are ADA.

Great winery! We were greeted by a very friendly staff member who gave us all their tasting options. They offer a full "guided" tasting inside their tasting room or flights that you can take into their outdoor seating area. For their flights (5 wines), you can pick a red, white, red/white, or their special reserve. The flights are $15 ($20 for their special wines) and they will give you credit towards buying a bottle. Since we brought a picnic lunch, we opted for the flights so we could sit outside and enjoy the day. I'm generally more of a red person but I really enjoyed their whites, especially their 2021 Chardonnay. It's not the biggest winery so I could imagine it getting a little packed on the weekends. Give them a visit, I think you'll enjoy it.

This winery is an absolute gem. The wine is outstanding—every sip is a treat. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with stunning views that make the whole experience even more special. It’s definitely worth the drive up for a perfect day out. Highly recommend!

I love this place! Deb in the tasting room is awesome and so outgoing. I've been a wine club member for years (this is the club membership that has outlasted all others). I love that most of their wines have a very distinct "Fenton Herriott" flavor that stands out. They do fun activities and social offerings where the owner cooks the food and everything. Wine club has flexibility. Definitely recommend checking it out. I love to bring friends out.

Wow. Hidden Gem! Great location on top of a hill with a 360 view. Great tasting room with the friendliest sommelier in El Dorado. New owners investing in the winery. The difference between this place and the appointment only faux-fancy Star-field next door is night and day. I’ve been coming up here from LA for five years and don’t know why I’ve only found this place now.

We visited this museum while on a trip to Placerville two weeks ago. It’s a small museum but we enjoyed our visit very much. We received a tour from an extremely knowledgeable docent who explained to us the history of the area and its people. A great experience.

We enjoyed a wonderful stop at this little museum on the way home from Apple Hill. A friendly and accommodating docent gave a great tour. Each exhibit was very well put together, informative, and entertaining. I appreciated the spotlights on Native American, Black, and female people in El Dorado's early days, and I really enjoyed the grocery store display. No tickets required - see how much you enjoy the museum and make an appropriate donation on your way out. The outdoor areas felt cluttered and neglected - it would be nice if there was another property where excess items could be stored until they can be properly displayed and appreciated.

The tour is filled with history and facts of the history of Placerville. The ladies are very nice and informative. We enjoyed the step back in time and learning about the history of the town now known as Placerville.

Every time I have gone to the Independent, I have always had exceptional service and food. The drinks and dishes were well spaced out and came out in a very timely manner. Our server, Trevor, went above and beyond to provide amazing service. You must check out this restaurant! I highly recommend the bread pudding.

this is my second time at the independent, and i will say that i love that they use fresh and local produce, and high quality meat and fish. it totally enhances the dining experience! so lets get into the details: FOOD if you’re an app person, HIGHLY recommend the summer caprese salad. i believe it’s seasonal, but wow.. those tomatoes were SO sweet with the perfect texture. i could’ve had a plate of those alone. the mozzarella with the fresh basil and maldon sea salt, topped with 12 year aged balsamic?! if your mouth isn’t watering reading that, go ahead and read it again 🤤 the caesar had the most amazing homemade croutons & the garlic chips are out of this world. the only reason i gave 4 stars is because my salmon was overcooked; it was pretty dry and $45, that’s really unfortunate 😩 the steak was cooked perfect and the mashed potatoes were absolutely divine! SERVICE Jake was our server and took excellent care of us. everyone made sure our waters were never empty, and made sure we were all set throughout the night! SEATING lots of indoor and outdoor seating. great for small intimate couples or large parties! the outside seating area is pretty large, and was perfect for our evening. PARKING there’s a small lot adjacent to the restaurant but plenty of street parking and a big lot nearby! overall, we’ll absolutely be back, and crossing our fingers (& toes!) that the caprese is still around! 😍

Went here for dinner with a group of 12. Food and service was exceptional. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. We sat inside. Great food and wine options. We started off with a salad which was good, not over powering with dressing. Ahi tower was yum perfectly seasoned. Main dish we shared the Hawaiian ahi crust which was a deconstructed sushi on a plate. Concept was good and did not disappoint. Portion of meat vs sushi rice was good. Dessert bread pudding was yummy. Warm and not very sweet. Our server was awesome and fun. He had great recommendations on food and drinks.

Update: food has been solid and I've been a handful of times since the first time. Service is good but can be a little slow when there are large parties (but they are very nice and they have staff who fill water so you're not thirsty!). My partner was stoked that they actually did a rare ribeye and really enjoyed it. Overall 5 stars! 6 years ago: Good service (thanks Maricela, hostess, and other gentlemen!). Glad we had a reservation because it was very busy when we arrived. The indoors was loud - would have tried outdoor patio except it was 104 degrees out! The food was good (rave reviews from group regarding the pork chop entree and ahi appetizer). They accommodated my food allergies and I had very nicely cooked salmon. My 6 year old ordered mac & cheese. He said it was so ugly that he wouldn't eat it, but after the others cannibalized it he tucked in and loved it. I would definitely go back and try it again!

Our family visited Independent restaurant for lunch while traveling back from Tahoe to San Francisco Bay Area. It exceeded our expectations! Service is great, food is crazy delicious. It was 95F outside, and we still chose patio as we were dining with our dogs. And guess what, patio has a separate AC and it was really comfortable even in that hot weather. The dishes were unique and beautiful. We ordered tuna tartar, chicken skewers and kids ordered burgers and fries. Everything was super fresh and delicious. Bloody Mary - perfect! Not too salty, not too spicy, just as it should be in a perfect world. Will definitely visit this place again.

We stopped in for lunch. Bar was full so we made our way to the patio. Server and bus girl were very attentive and got drinks right away. Server spent a good amount of time discussing great options on menu and items not on menu. We chose two top pics, Salmon and a burger. Both dishes came out very good, fresh fair portions. We were happy, mostly for the friendly service.

It seems like the atmosphere would change based upon what you look like. The server wasnt really hospitable, however the female bartender had excellent service. I had the salmon with asparagus and a roce cake. Delicious!! I wish i remembered which drinks i had but both were great, not watered down and you can tell the bartender takes her craft seriously.

Good food & nice time with the family. My server seemed really tired though. They work some tough hours! Went again yesterday for lunch & my server was not very friendly. Even took my soup without asking if I was done. I wasn't. Didn't ask many questions I did the asking but my food was great just not the service. Maybe he was stressed due to it being busy. Sad good food & stressed servers.

Walked in here with some friends and got sat down immediately. Service was amazing and food was quick to come out. I got the all American slam and a root beer and all was fit per my requests. Our server was Raymond and he was really nice and on top of things. Will be coming back, it was definitely worth it.

I pulled up to this magnificent place and right as I walked in I was greated immediately even though it seemed to be busy. They greeted me and sat me in a booth Which was very clean, they got me a beverage and gave me a perfect amount of time to select what I wanted off the menu. They got my order and when the food came out it was fantastic, exactly how I asked and wanted it. The service was great the cookes food was great and even on my way out the manager was very kind and helpful.

My father and I like the breakfast here. But do not go here and order a steak! The steak was like leather and you can tell the cook did not know how to prepare it. The waitress asked if we would like another and we just decided to take it too the dog and cat. The proper thing was to ask if he would like something else or even take it off the bill. The servers were unattendful for as dead it was. We will only go to breakfast here.

Got there about 10:50am, sign on door and google says open at 11am. At 11am we went to the door, locked. Stood outside for 15 minutes. It appeared there was only 1 worker inside, assuming the other staff didn't show up for their shift? The 1 worker could have at least came to the door to tell us they would be opening late due to no staff. We left shortly after 11:15am

My family and I love Jimboy's Tacos. The staff is friendly and always recognized us when we walked in the door. I don't usually like fast food Burritos ( I make my own at home), I love Jimboy's burritos they taste like the burritos that my Mexican friends make. Unfortunately, we no longer live in California and there is no Jimboy's where we live. We really miss it and will definitely visit whenever we are California

First employees are nice, but after that one star is to much. Corporate has the heat so high in the place, it's not safe for customers or employees. I'm a Fire Fighter EMT, this place is ridiculous. Also the price for 6 tacos, with hardly any meat in them is a joke. I grew up with Jim boy's, this place I can't see how they are still open. Quality gone down.

i’ve never thought I’d have to leave a review, but I am shocked right now I got two bean and cheese burritos, and as I’m eating one of them, I bite down on something hard. I spit my food out and see a rock. Like a literal rock as you can see in the picture I just don’t even know how a rock could accidentally fall into my Burrito I’m not trying to be a Karen but seriously please don’t choke if you get a burrito from this location.

First time ever going to Jimboys - I always thought they were in California only but there are some in Reno so I’m definitely going to try to get up there since it’s closer. I was blown away how flavorful everything was. Yeah it’s “fast food” but it’s in a whole other category above Taco Bell or Del Taco. Think of McDonalds and In-N-Out sort of comparison. The nachos were good too!

This place is one of my go to in this area as it is one of the best Mexican food places around. The asada super burrito was tasty and my favorite part is how melted the cheese is, delicious! Only recommendation would be for the chips to be a little more fresh but maybe I just came at a bad time.

Taqueria atmosphere. Clean bathroom, tables, fresh chips, spicy and fresh salsa! Friendly staff and excellent tacos!!

You cannot beat Tijuana Mexican food, and Tijuana Taqueria knows how to make it! I met a very nice young lady tonight working register. I gotta wrap up my review and get back to eating my food!

I'm sad it had taken me so long to try the place out. The food was awesome. Try the quesabirria, it'll change your life. Some of the best salsa in Placerville! The location is super convenient for anyone coming/going east of Placerville. The place was clean, not bad inside - just not my preferred dine in experience, not a great view or anything making me want to stick around when the food travels well. There is a back dining room where you could eat more privately. Just being honest with my opinion, 3 star atmosphere means 'meh' to me, not bad. The staff were great. Cheerful, helpful, and had me chilling comfortably while waiting for my wife. This place is now on the regular rotation and I'm already looking forward to next Tuesday.

I've been coming here since they opened in 2000. I've seen this place expand but their food has remained authentic, delicious, and great portions for the price. Nothing we've eaten here has ever been bad. Tamales, taco salad, quesadilla, tacos, burritos, and carne asada are our typical go to's. The staff are always friendly and happy to see their guests happy. May this place be open for many more years to come, because it's one of my favorites!

Large portions of terrible food that lacks any real flavor. Not authentic at all. Everything taste like it came from a bag, can, or a box at the same time. Just amazing how bad this food really is. Adding this to the growing list of terrible Mexican restaurants in placerville.
