Shopping mall
Riverside Center, located on Horatio Street, is a bustling retail park that caters to various interests. From well-known retailers like Walmart and Lowes to specialty stores such as Adirondack Furniture and GameStop, there's something for everyone. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the selection of fishing gear, camping equipment, and outdoor apparel available. The store also offers a range of boats and kayaks for water sports enthusiasts.
Good products, very good selection. Helpful staff.

Went to get a gift card, I don't shop here much, a bit over priced

I visit often, as they have some of my favorite store there, but they REALLY need to replace the driving areas around the property as the potholes are getting outrageous.

Love this place! We went for some fishing lures, and Columbia causal pants. I purchased a sunscreen shirt for extra protection outside. We checked shoes, they sell Merrell and Keen two of my favorites for comfort rugged shoes. We checked out the big fish tank,it's always cool to see the wild fish. The staff are so pleasant and helpful, I want a rain coat, but they didn't have my size in the store, the staff ordered it right on line for me right there by rain coats, it was delivered to home. I wish I had taken some photos for my review. I highly recommend a visit.

Stopped at BJ warehouse. Good selection of items. Pricey. Staff is wonderful.

This store is always very clean and has the biggest selection of t shirts. My daughter is always looking for cool graphic tee's and she likes the ones from here. The customer service is always great too!

Great place, everything you need in a one stop shop.

People treat the parking lot here like a demolition derby site. Everybody drives like they have good insurance, but I know the 2002 Pontiac Sunfire screaming down the aisle is barely covered.

Ocean Blue Restaurant & Oyster Bar is a sophisticated seafood destination located in the heart of downtown, offering an elegant and spacious setting for patrons to enjoy. The chic decor features a striking copper-topped bar, perfect for savoring craft cocktails and fresh oysters. Guests can also relax in comfortable leather booths while indulging in exquisite dishes such as lobster mac + cheese, jumbo scallops, or filet mignon.
We had a fabulous experience at this restaurant. However, we tried to have our server taste our champagne. The manager did not allow that and I think it was a bit anal on their part. As a result, their star dropped to 4 overall. Let the server take just a taste and you move up a star.
Sheldon K — Google review
Love this place. Tend to celebrate friend’s family birthdays. 🎂 Always so well taken care of, Zach our server this past visit was on point the whole time. Food is always so good. My only wish is for a broader fresh fish menu, salmon, sea bass, tuna and Haddock are on the menu. Would like some other choices, such as halibut red snapper, grouper, swordfish to name a few. But otherwise it’s a great restaurant. You forget that you’re in Utica, New York and feel like you’re hanging out in New York City.
Patrick S — Google review
Was there with another couple. Sat outside and had nice views and vibe out there. Waitress was great. 3 of 4 dishes we ordered were excellent. Could have made the calamari appetizer just a bit bigger but quality was excellent. The one weak dish was the lobster Mac and cheese. It was far too heavy and rich. They need to lighten it up. The heaviness obscured the lobster and pasta. The other dishes were fine and good job adding some lobster pieces to the lobster ravioli. Would go back.
Owen — Google review
Absolutley fantastic experience. Food and atmosphere were truly incredible. Loved being able to celebrate date night here. The only piece of feedback is that the food is possibly a bit overpriced. That said, you know the cost of food when choosing this place, and you get the quality that you pay for. Fantastic gem in Utica.

excellent place for drinks and dinner. The rooftop dining area was great, except the chairs very uncomfortable. The bartenders were great and very knowledgeable. It was excellent sitting at the bar and conversing with them, made you feel comfortable. Service was a touch slow but sitting on the rooftop I didn't really mind. The service was good just different. The food was okay. the appetizer was very good along with the lobster bisque, even the salad that my wife and daughter had looked fresh and pretty good. my daughter had the filet mignon which was cooked to perfection and she enjoyed it. My wife and I had the stuffed haddock it was good just seemed a little boring with nothing jumping out on the taste buds. Yes upper scale restaurant, but not bad just not exceptional. Yes I would go there again to have dinner
Michael M — Google review
Great atmosphere and good food! I dined here for dinner in mid-September and my overall experience was great! The appetizers were amazing as well as the dessert. The only reason I am deducting a star is because of my entree. I ordered the scallops and they were fine, nothing special. The brussel sprouts that came as a side were soggy but still tasted okay. Overall, I would return but I wouldn't order the scallops.

American restaurant
Restaurant
Located in a historic building on Genesee Street, The Tailor and the Cook is a popular farm-to-table American restaurant in Utica. It is known for its fresh, locally-sourced dishes that change with the seasons. The restaurant prioritizes sustainability and offers a warm and contemporary ambiance for an unforgettable dining experience. Run by childhood friends Tim Hardiman and Chris Talgo, it consistently ranks as one of the best restaurants in Utica, NY.
Nicest restaurant in town with an upscale rustic vibe. Easy parking when we arrived. Had the friendliest waitress who was genuinely kind and great at connecting with ppl. Food was good but not super memorable. Flavor was a bit bland especially this salmon. Maybe if they offered salt and pepper after it’s served then may have be tastier.
SEE C — Google review
It was good but service was very slow. They offered us free drinks to make up for that which was very generous. The food was a bit hit or miss — amazing potato soup, excellent chicken but stringy spring peas, and flourless chocolate cake that was way too sweet. Others enjoyed their meals
Irina — Google review
This is a stunning restaurant and it was simply an amazing experience. Pictured are some highlights! We had the sparkling cherry limeade (non-alcoholic), the beets & feta salad (oven baked feta/blueberry puree, candied hazelnuts/pea shoots); the crispy smashed salt potatoes; the pan seared steelhead trout, and the crispy pork belly macaroni & cheese with house-made elbow macaroni. Our food was spectacular - hot, tasteful, and attractively presented. Our waiter Sebastian was a gem - and even the general manager was on site and attentive. Don’t miss the experience for the world!

Went for brunch with my family, and had an overall positive experience! We love Tailor and the Cook dinner, so we thought we’d try out their brunch. Pictured are: Breakfast Skillet, Blueberry Pancakes, Biscuits & Gravy, Pizza Fritte, Bloody Mary, and Seasonal Mimosa. Breakfast Skillet: 9/10! Had both sausage and bacon in it, along with eggs, potatoes, onions, peppers, and cheese. Blueberry Pancakes: 8.5/10. Pancakes were good but a bit too well done. If they included blueberry jam on the side or in between pancakes that would be a hit! Biscuits & Gravy: 6/10. Underwhelming, and not what we were expecting. Gravy had an Italian/pizza sausage taste, as opposed to a typical southern sausage gravy. Biscuit itself was fine. Pizza Fritte: 10/10!! Perfectly done. Piping hot when they arrived at our table; so fresh! Blueberry jam was a fantastic addition. Bloody Mary: 8/10. Unique addition of furikake and sesame seeds, but overall very good! Seasonal Mimosa: 10/10! The blood orange liqueur made this drink! Very very delicious.

We were genuinely excited to try this place for a special night out, but the experience was disappointing from the start and resulted in cold meals that were then microwaved into mush. The host greeted us with a frustrated, dismissive tone, “Well, that’s not really a real reservation,” simply because we had booked earlier that evening. He was condescending, instantly making us feel unwelcome. We asked to sit outside and he resisted, claiming it might rain (it was a beautiful evening with 0% chance of rain in the forecast). Sadly, the food didn’t redeem the experience. Our meals arrived completely cold. The flavors of the chicken riggies and pork belly over parsnips were very good, but both dishes were cold to the touch. When we quietly shared that the food was cold (something I’ve never done or had to do before), there was no explanation or apology or choice for how to rectify. The plates were grabbed without communication and returned as microwaved, mushy versions of what we ordered. The pork belly came back rubbery. It took over 20 minutes to receive a single beer. And a table nearby was delivered the wrong meal. This was a Sunday quiet night with a mostly empty restaurant. This was the first time I’ve ever left $0 for a tip, and I say that as someone who always tips generously. A special occasion ruined by poor service, cold food, and zero accountability (no acknowledgement or apology or reduction on the bill).

The ambiance and lots of separate seating areas make this a very comfortable eatery. The food is unique, tasty, presented well and made from fresh ingredients . Put all of this together with an attentive and friendly waitstaff and you have a WINNER!
Nancy T — Google review
Amazing Utica has a restaurant this nice! Great vibe, relaxed atmosphere, very friendly and helpful service. The fried onions were super tasty. Smoke brisket mac & cheese came piping hot, packed a lot of flavor with the bbq sauce and crispy onions. Portion was too large to finish. My partner loved the shrimp tempura.
Charles Z — Google review
Atmosphere and service were great. I also enjoyed my cocktail. But the main draw, the food, while fine, was not worth the cost. I ordered the fried chicken katsu sandwich. It looked great, but the bread overwhelmed the chicken, which meant that every bite was like 85% bread and 15% chicken; and the thickness of the bread made the sandwich too hefty to bite easily. The dish could be improved by replacing the bread with something smaller that better accommodates the chicken.

Utica Coffee Roasting Company is a bustling cafe located in downtown Utica, offering a vibrant atmosphere filled with the rich aroma of freshly roasted coffee. The company has been sourcing high-quality coffee beans since 2005 and roasting them on-site, committed to providing ethically sourced products. In addition to an array of espresso drinks, iced coffee, and tea, they also serve light breakfast fare and delectable pastries.
When you think of a great coffee shop Utica is one that comes to mind. Zero complaints, everything was on point and they also have 32 oz sizes. Wanted to go here for a very long time and I'm extremely happy that I finally did. Prices are very reasonable and there is close parking. Definitely one of my top 5 favorite coffee shops not just in the state but in the country.

Luv, luv, luv everything about Utica Coffee Roasting Company located in Historic Bagg's Square West. Excellent coffee and service. You have to try the Wake The Hell Up blend. So good. They also have the best bagel breakfast sandwich. Equally important is the experience. It was truly a very welcoming environment.

This coffee shop has a fantastic atmosphere with an amazing aroma and welcoming feel. I visited on a busy Sunday morning, and the line was quite long, keeping the staff moving efficiently. I really enjoyed my coffee—though most options were light roast, and I personally prefer a darker one. Just something to note for fellow coffee lovers! Still, the coffee was delicious and well worth the visit.

Everyone in Utica knows that this place is awesome, but I wanted to highlight an additional way in which they go above and beyond. We wanted to show off the best of Utica to our wedding guests so we worked with the Utica coffee team on custom bags for favors! They came out so good, and it was very easy to work with their team to design a bag! And, of course, our guests raved about how delicious the cannoli and half-moon flavors were after the wedding.

Staff was very efficient and friendly. Patrons were also very friendly. I found it to be a very comfortable place to sit and have a cup of coffee. The French roast was not quite as bold as I would have wanted. I'm not sure if they gave me the right kind. But I drank it and enjoyed the atmosphere. I'll probably stop in and try again. I did not ask for a porcelain cup, but it would have been nice to have one. I'm not sure if that's an option there. I'll find out next time.

You guys. I just met my new BFF Cori. She and her husband bought a farm during Covid, but she's a people-person & needed to get back to work, and her former boss brought her back on at Utica Coffee Roasting. That's one of the things I learned on our first friend date. By "friend date," I mean she is the amazing barista who served me this morning and chatted with me as she made my drink. I ordered my usual - an iced breve latte. This time I asked for some honey in it, though. Cor (we are BFFs now, so I can call her that) asked if I had ever tried the lavender with the honey. Hold. The Front Door. LAVENDER? She added some of that floral deliciousness to my honey and Shazam!! It's so good! I also ordered up a pound of beans to go, but then C (we truly are besties, so she doesn't mind that I call her that) told me I could save a buck if I went with two pounds. I'm pretty sure that's a deal anyone can get even if they are not best buds with the best barista in Utica. I've said before that I love this place & always leave feeling like I've just made a friend. That's still the case. So WAKE THE HELL UP & go to Utica Coffee. Note: It might be Kori or Korrie or Corey or Cory. I will need to get that straight before I send her birthday card.
Jen P — Google review
Great coffee and I love the food options. My husband was able to get a bagel sandwich and I could get a scone. My latte was well made and really good, he got the blueberry coffee and loved it. Atmostphere wise, the vibe is laid back and chill but it can get loud as it is a smaller space. He was still able to log in and do the work he needed to get done.
Kaitlyn ( — Google review
We travel regularly from Ohio to MA and stay in Utica overnight, in part so we can have Utica coffee the next morning. We love their mugs (Wake the Hell Up) and their scones. I miss being able to get oatmeal. Forget the muffins; they are not muffins but huge blobs of oversweet cake. The staff is very organized and efficient and kind. The new mural is nice; the one in the back is a hoot. Love you guys.

Arena
The Adirondack Bank Center at the Utica Memorial Auditorium, also known as "The AUD," is a historic entertainment venue located in New York. Built in 1959 along the old Erie Canal, it has become a premier destination for a diverse range of events, from family shows to concerts and sports. The venue has hosted renowned performers such as Kenny Rogers, ZZ Top, Bruce Springsteen, and many others.
We're new to NY, and some friends invited us to a Comets game—so glad they did! We had a blast! The stadium is clean and well maintained, with tons of vendors and great staff. The drink options were impressive (though a bit pricey), and I really appreciated the heaters—I was comfortable the whole game! Big shoutout to the mascot being out and about for photos—who doesn't want a pic with Naudie? Looking forward to coming back next season!

On the road for an away game for Rochester Americans…First game at the arena since the 2012-13 season…nice place to see a hockey game 🏒 🥅 except some of the seating behind the net prevents fans from seeing all of the action.
Jeffrey C — Google review
Adirondack Bank Center at Utica Memorial Auditorium is one of the greatest small town arenas anywhere to watch a hockey game. The “Aud” as some locals call it was built in the 1950’s. Take a look at the dual cable roof design of the stadium and you’ll notice it is very similar to Madison Square Garden. The arena is home to the Utica Comets. Capacity for a hockey game is a little about 3,800. The arena has a horseshoe design to it. Most seats have very good views of the ice. Even when you’re sitting far away you’re still pretty close to the action. Some seats on the corners have partially obstructed views as it is hard to see over the handrails and down to the ice. Avoid these seats if possible. There are many great concession choices in this arena. Prices aren’t too bad and the food is good. The Oriskany Street Grill is a nice restaurant located inside the stadium. Of course, you can’t miss the chance to have a Utica Club Beer. This is probably the only stadium anywhere that sells it. If you’ve never had one try it. The atmosphere in this stadium is also very good. The mascot “Naudie” is highly energetic and entertaining. There is also a dance team that is stationed around the arena. It can also get really noisy in there when the game gets going. Tickets for events are easy to find on the arena’s website. You can also purchase them at the box office for most events. Parking is fairly easy and free. The arena was built as a war memorial so make sure you see the panels in the concourse dedicated to those who have served. If you want to see a small historic stadium or watch a great hockey game this is the place for you.

I grew up in Utica and went to the aud for SOOO many awesome shows. Pantera, Korn, Type O Negative, White Zombie, etc. Now they have a much better parking situation since they tore down the scum hole behind it. Just wish they'd have metal shows there again 😪 . Not to mention; my Dad made and installed the duct work 60 feet above. RIP

the Rodeo was awesome! We had great seats.. Section 102 C. we were just close enough without eating dust from the horses lol! Seats are pretty small tho. I couldn't eat my winter coat and sit in my seat comfortably.

Great place. I have been here for concerts, fight events, and other events. The staff are wonderful and the venue ensures everyone has a good view. The only problem we have every time we attend, the awful and absolutely horrible parking. There isn't enough room for everyone. Really need a parking garage.

Nina's Pizza is a cozy restaurant located at 100 Genesee St Utica, NY 13502. It offers a relaxed atmosphere with booth seating and serves a variety of Italian dishes including pizza, pasta, subs, and wings for dine-in, takeout or delivery. The restaurant pays attention to special requests and provides ample utensils and sauces for its customers. Visitors have praised the polite and professional service provided by the staff.
I stopped in, as a first time customer while visiting Upstate NY. Two huge slices, a veggie and a cheese and it was definitely amazing. I haven't been back to NY since we moved in 2010 and I am so glad it did NOT disappoint. This is why NY is known for the BEST pizza. Thank you or the hospitality and amazing slices.
Jamie T — Google review
Have had the pleasure of eating at Nina’s twice, and definitely plan to continue eating here for as long as they’re around (hopefully a long time!). I have a wheat allergy and everyone there is so kind and knowledgeable about what is/isn’t gluten free (GF), and also explained *why* anything was not GF which is such a reassurance. My first visit I had the gluten free pizza, and my husband (has no allergies) had the CBR slice and Buffalo chicken dip riggies. It was definitely in the top two gluten free pizzas I’ve ever had, and my husband raved about the riggies and says the CBR is the best he’s ever had. My second time eating there, I learned they have gluten free pasta! I was thrilled and again, everyone there was extremely knowledgeable and we decided on a gluten free shrimp alfredo. It is *hands down THE best* shrimp alfredo I’ve ever had - sauce was light and flavorful, shrimp were seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the pasta was high quality. My husband also had their garlic and upside down slices (again, not GF) and is adamant they are a 9.4 and 9.8 out of 10 respectively! Parking is easy and free, so next time you’re looking for your new favorite authentic pizza joint, put Nina’s at the top of your list!

Had three pies delivered this past Friday and it was quick and pizza was still warm. Pizza itself was adequate but nothing to write home about. Size of pizza slices were very small and not adequate. Sauce and cheese were good but dough itself was meh.
Michael F — Google review
I have been here multiple times and have enjoyed it. Tonight I ordered two large pizzas after my son’s baseball game game. We arrived to pick it up and observed a cook outside the front entrance smoking. When we entered he came in and did not wash his hands. We received our pizzas and the pepperoni had hardly any on it…the pizza was salty and not very good. First time I was not happy, used to be good.
William J — Google review
This is the pizza that dreams are made of. The slices are ginormous, the crust is very thin but somehow cripsy and chewy simultaneously, it is just a perfect fold and eat slice.
Jerome P — Google review
This is my new "2 Slices and a Soda" spot. If you're old school. And even if you're not. Sometimes all you want is "Two Slices and a Soda." Like back in the day.😀 Their wings are great also. I moved up here from the Baltimore/ D.C. area. And I finally found a spot that makes a Great Slice.
David T — Google review
Awesome, amazing pizza. We're vegan and you knocked the jumbo pies out of the park. Thank you and we'll be back.
Craig L — Google review
I stopped in and ordered a slice of cheese pizza for my toddler daughter. The staff was incredibly friendly, even when she accidentally spilled her chocolate milk. They wouldn’t let us clean it up and insisted on taking care of it themselves. We’ll definitely be going back to try their wings as the pizza was a hit with my daughter!

Trackside Restaurant is a unique dining spot located in the historic Utica train station. The setting itself adds to the charm and character of the place, making it an exceptional experience for diners. The service provided by staff members like Elmina is attentive and friendly, ensuring a pleasant evening for guests. The food served at Trackside Restaurant is absolutely wonderful, with dishes like steaks, lamb, and halibut scampi cooked to perfection.
Wonderful experience dining here. Expected the noise level to be awful as we were seated in the section in the train station and there was a banquet in another room. We were pleasantly surprised with how easily we could hear one another. The service was excellent, and although it took a long time to get our entrees, it was well worth the wait. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. Steaks and lamb were cooked exactly as requested. Halibut scampi, a special for tonight, was delicious. They serve an unusual salad included with all entrees. Lemon sorbet afterwards before the entree. For the quality of the meal, the prices are better than similar restaurants. Will definitely go back.

The restaurant is very nice. It is on the more pricey side, but it is well worth it. They were very friendly and the food is amazing. This is a great spot for a special night out, but it is only open for dinners on Friday and Saturday. On weekdays it is open for lunch. Every dish was delicious, cooked perfectly, and looked amazing when they came to the table.

The food was fantastic, all the way around, everyone was very happy with their food. The atmosphere is pretty mixed; It’s in the middle of the old train station which is gorgeous, but with all the doors open, it’s a bit loud. The staff was very friendly and we’d definitely go again.

Beautiful restaurant with great food. Our server was pleasant and efficient. I had the Treasure salad, a lemon sorbet to cleanse the pallet, and very delicious chicken riggies! The only thing I noticed was the bathroom could be updated ... They were fine for a luncheon but I don't think they'd be sufficient for a big party or wedding but maybe there are different larger ones located somewhere else

We ordered the appetizers of the calamari and coconut shrimp which both were amazing. We all ordered the chicken riggies which were also delicious and was served with an edible orchid. For dessert I ordered the amaretto cheesecake which was amazing. I highly recommend trackside.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Trackside Restaurant in Utica, NY, and it was an exceptional experience. Our server, Elmina, was truly spectacular, providing attentive and friendly service throughout the evening. The food was absolutely wonderful. The highlight, however, was the setting itself. Housed within the historic Utica train station, the restaurant exudes a unique charm and character. I highly recommend Trackside Restaurant for anyone looking to enjoy a fantastic meal in a cool and historic setting.

Bar & grill
I had a great time at 72 Tavern & Grill. The place was spacious and had plenty of room with numerous TVs to watch various sports. It's conveniently located near the Utica Comets game, making it a perfect spot to visit before the game. However, the service was a bit slow and their draft beer selection wasn't very impressive. Nevertheless, their Monday night wing deal for only $0.10 is fantastic!
Best meal had in a long time in this area. Awesome atmosphere, family friendly, large and comfortable seating in booths. Lots of sports games on. Food was phenomenal- had to leave a review. Fried fish dinner was crispy and the fish was so tender. Fries were coated and delicious. Tartar was great and the coleslaw was the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Seasoned so well and only $16. Pizza was so good, we got the Buffalo chicken wing pizza. It was thin, crispy, and the toppings were cooked perfectly. 16” pizza for $16? Can’t beat that price, most pizzerias charge at least $20 for that. Got the spaghetti dinner that came with meatball and garlic, portion was huge. Also got the grilled chicken dinner and it too was cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. Everything tasted so good. It was a super busy night and packed as it was right before a Comets game but we were able to get a big booth. Our waitress was super kind and attentive, but wasn’t annoying and hovered. She was great. A great, fun place to eat with awesome food!

Food was very fast and prices were reasonable. Appetizers were delicious. Stuffed Fried zucchini blossoms and sweet potato fries! We each had a cheddar bacon burger that was pretty good. Their fries were very good! Unfortunately there were things I found really annoying about our experience. The ceiling light was a little bit disorientating at the angle we were sitting. Then when we asked for silverware and napkins, we were given one napkin each !!! But it being so close to the arena it is worth a stop if you don’t want venture far from the game or sports plex! I am not sure if we would dine again.

First time there. Really nice on the inside. Appetizer came really quick. Boneless wings were great. The 72 Burger was really good with crispy fries too. Took a bit longer than expected to get the food. Was worth the wait.

I have driven past the "72 Tavern & Grill" many times in my excursions through the city of Utica, but never took time to stop. This evening I was invited to meet some family members there for dinner. I accepted. Now I can say I regret I did not discover the place sooner. The atmosphere is definitely sports orientated with large screen TVs circling the entire establishment with a huge screen behind the bar. The staff is ample and efficient, our wait times were very short. The menu is surprisingly diverse, even featuring children's choices. Four meals were delivered to our table, all nicely prepared with fresh ingredients, and nicely presented. The 72 staff is attentive and quite friendly. And yes, the restaurant is clean! At the end of the meal, the staff presented us with coupons good for $5 off our next tab. Thank you 72. But it's safe to say, I'll be a return customer! Well done guys and gals.

Really enjoyed this place. Roomy, lots of space. Many TVs to watch a variety of sports. Awesome location to hit up before a Utica Comets game. Wait staff was a little slow and didn't have a very good draft beer selection. The $0.10 wing deal on Monday nights is amazing though.

Wonderful staff, very attentive. I had fried Calamari and Haddock sandwich for lunch. Big portions served hot. I recommend 72 Tavern & Grill to my family and out of town friends.

Some great food and plenty of options here. Portions are fine and most items are easy to share. Some decent vegetarian choices too. The draft beer selection needs to improve but that is about it. The staff has always been great. I would go again.

Erika our server was phenomenal the 1st off!!!!! And her food recommendations was spot on with the coconut chicken..I was loving the 90s alternative music vibe that they were playing too. This place was awesome for a Saturday afternoon. It was chill . I am sure in the evenings it gets turnt up. But food, drink, and vibe were all nice. Looking forward to going here again. The wings were tasty as well.

The ambiance is charming, making it an ideal spot for both casual outings and special occasions. Guests rave about the exceptional service, whether enjoying a specialty cocktail at the bar or indulging in mouthwatering entrees such as Chicken Milanese and Blackened Salmon.
First time guests, having dinner and cocktails. Everything was OUTSTANDING! Promptly greeted and seated. Our server was very sweet and took great care of us. The bar staff is fantastic as well! Everything from apps to dessert cocktails was PERFECT! Highly recommend and will definitely be back! Well done.

Okay, so from the jump, this place had a good vibe. But our server, Rachel, took it to another level! Super friendly, knew the menu inside and out, and was always one step ahead of what we needed. Seriously, top-notch service! Now, the real MVP: the chicken sandwich. Forget everything you think you know about chicken sandwiches. This was next-level stuff. The chicken was juicy and packed with flavor, the sauce was on point, and the bun? Perfectly toasted. Every bite was a flavor explosion! Basically, this place nailed it. Rachel's awesome service and that mind-blowing chicken sandwich? 5/5, no question. I'm already planning my next visit!

Both the waitress ( Erin) and bartender (Rachel) were so helpful, kind, and over all attentive! Utica Zoo, located in Roscoe Conkling Park, is a year-round zoo that houses over 200 animals from various native and exotic species. Accredited by the American Zoological Association, the zoo offers guided tours and kids' programs for families to enjoy. The zoo was established in 1914 on an 80-acre lot with 40 acres dedicated to developed animal exhibits.
Small but beautiful. Enjoyed seeing the animals and also enjoyed how clean and tidy the place was. Also, this is more of an opinion, as an animal activist I appreciate that all enclosures had a separate room the animals all had access to just in case if they were stressed or overwhelmed. All zoos should have this.
Chris O — Google review
Fun day,but some exhibits were closed. We stopped on our way to Old Forge it was worth the leg stretch, but we wouldn't purposely make it a trip to go as adults. We'll worth it for families though.

Don’t be fooled, there is plenty to see here! You can definitely get your steps in! They also have the ride ons but some areas restrict them so you’ll have to walk or not go through those areas. There are various places to sit throughout and food and snacks available on site. I can say the food was very fresh and it was good, which surprised me. We ordered cheeseburgers and cheese fries. The price is reasonable and tickets can be purchased online. They have experiences available too but you need to book in advance be ire to check their website!

We spent a really great few hours at this zoo in July. The otters were really putting on a show for everyone and I couldn't help but stick around to see what they would do next. So many great animal exhibits, minus the red pandas. The setup made it very dark and impossible to see in at all. Overall great way to spend part of a day. I would suggest visiting the concession stand at off hours though. At lunchtime the line was impossibly long with limited staffing and we opted to eat elsewhere instead.

Very fun and the fact it's all year round, besides 2 days; is awesome. Some animals were asleep but nonetheless it's a great experience.

A Wonderful Experience at the Utica Zoo! The Utica Zoo is a fantastic place to visit for families, animal lovers, and anyone who enjoys spending time outdoors while learning about wildlife. While it is not as large as some major zoos, it offers a very personal and welcoming experience that stands out in its own way. The exhibits are well maintained, and it is clear that the animals receive excellent care. Some of the highlights included the red pandas, primates, and the reptile house, which had a wide variety of interesting species. It was also nice to see animals native to the region, which added an educational aspect to the visit. The staff and volunteers were very friendly and helpful. They were happy to answer questions and provided interesting facts about the animals. The zoo grounds were clean, with shaded walking paths, picnic areas, and a playground that children will definitely enjoy. The gift shop had a good selection of items, and the café offered quality food and drinks at reasonable prices. The experience felt calm and enjoyable, with plenty of space to explore at your own pace. It was not overly crowded, and the parking was free and convenient. Overall, the Utica Zoo is a hidden gem in Central New York. It is well worth the visit and provides a meaningful and enjoyable day for visitors of all ages.

Roscoe Conkling Park, located in Utica, NY, is a historic recreational area that offers a variety of attractions. The park features the renowned Utica Zoo, which is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and houses over 200 animals in natural habitats. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the Valley View Golf Course and explore the woodsy trail system within the park's 625-acre green space. South Woods hiking trails provide picturesque woodland settings for hikers to explore.
These are well maintained gravel trails that weave through the golf course. They have different exercise stations along the trail with pull up bars, etc I was looking for more of a rough trail to hike, but these trails are stroller friendly. All in all it was a pleasant experience and I will return.

(This review is mainly for bikers or skateboarders, etc.) It was pretty nice, but lots of sharp inclines which, god, did make it extremely hard to bike. The downhill ride, down the entire mountain though, was f a s t and pretty worth it to be honest. Just, sometimes I'd find dead ends and the zoo entrance where admittedly I went face first into the metal fence. lmao But yeah, overall a pretty good experience. And, yeah; basically, for anyone biking or going down the hill on some sort of vehicle, please be careful, there's a golf course in the middle of the trail, lots of sharp inclines/downhills, and just extremely bumpy and extremely hard to ride your bike up the hill even if it's an electric one (mine wasn't, but I bet it'd be hard for those too). So, in conclusion, lots of walking even with a bike. lmao

Fast food restaurant
Tony's Pizzeria offers a cozy atmosphere with a small seating area, making it a bit challenging to move around. The fries are described as crispy and delicious, while the large pepperoni pizza is considered good but not exceptional. The cheese is mostly layered over the meat, providing an interesting twist, although the pizza can be messy to eat due to its doughy crust. Despite this, the cheese and sauce are highlighted for their flavorful performance.
I’m a regular I love my everything wings . Great customer service. I’m a healthcare worker so a lot of times by the time I get out of work I’m too exhausted so I call and place my order and they have it ready for me I never end up waiting when I place my order typically 25/30 minutes .

Tony's is certainly above average. It features a tight little seating area, so it's a bit of a challenge to maneuver around other customers. The fries were crisp and delicious. The large pepperoni pizza was good, not great. The cheese was layered mostly over the meat, which seems like a nice twist. The pizza was hard to eat without making a mess, as everything sort of slid off the crust, which was a tad doughy for me. As for flavor, the cheese and sauce performed quite well. The fries, pie and four drinks came to less than $33. Great value there.

My wife ate chicken riggies and bread. I just had six meatballs with sauce. We both had Diet Pepsi. I didn't take pictures but my wife ordered a large cheese pizza some wings and a salad to take home. Everything was very good the only thing that I didn't care for was that the girl brought us our food to the table and didn't bring us anything to eat it with. There were no utensils available near The Fountain drink machine where the napkins are so we figured they would bring them to us, but my wife had to go to the counter and get utensils. Other than that the food was good

So I was in town visiting my Mom who was in the hospital at the time. She recommended this place and said they have the best wings. Everything was ok as far as the food but it was the service for me. They completely forgot about me and I was sitting right in front of them the whole time.I was there for almost an hour for 3 slices and ten wings.

This place fell off. Don't know if it is new owner or what... but I will skip this place for anything. Even bathroom use. A 3 hour wait for a bad pizza, that was cold and wet is not worth the price for the box. Do better!

I'm not one to complain however, stopped in and picked up two fish frys tonight 3/22/24. What I received in no way resembled a fish fry. Instead of being breaded and lightly fried, it was in a batter that formed a hard shell around the entire piece of fish. Honestly it wasn't enjoyable at all and the 2lbs of French fries (not exaggerating) didn't make up for non edible fish. I apologize for being blunt but I will not be a repeat customer.
Justin G — Google review
Ordered a Calzone w/ sausage, peppers and onions. It was massive and I could only eat half. The service was great.

I am not one to complain, I always order from here, l love Tony’s however today I did the special 2 lg cheese pizzas for 22.00, I have to say, very disappointed, the pizza is hard as a rock the cheese is burnt and hardly any on them, extremely greasy, looks like we won’t be doing anymore Tuesday specials, there’s a whole pizza and a half left the rest is in garbage, I have NEVER been disappointed here, but today was really bad, how do you mess up two, anyway I’ll probably drop off the pizza to one of the many homeless ones standing at the corners!!!

AMF Pin-O-Rama Lanes is a well-established chain of bowling alleys that offers a fun and casual atmosphere for all. With 48 to 52 lanes available, the facility provides automatic scoring, flat-screen monitors, and various amenities such as food and drink options, pool tables, arcade games, and a sports bar. They offer open bowling at reasonable rates on different days with equipment rentals available. The center also hosts league bowling and special events like rock & bowl on weekends.
52 lanes of fun! Great deals on different days of the week check out their web page for further details or give them the call. Open bowling on different days and times at reasonable rates. Don't worry if you don't own a ball or shoes, they have a wide selection of house bowling balls & shoe rentals. Rock & bowl on the weekend. Plus league bowling. Snack bar, pool table, & digital games at the bar. Digital score keeping & boards with fun graphics, tips, & advertising for some specials. Great staff that quickly service any of your needs. They do have bumpers that pop up on any lane for the little ones, they do book birthday party's. Great fun for all ages.

Only complaint really was that our ball would be delayed in coming back. We would have to use another ball for our second throw before our ball would come back. It's probably not a big deal if you use the bowling alley balls, when there is a difference when you have your own that you use. They had several lanes and the place was very spacious, so it was nice. There were limited drinks and the snack bar was closed already when we got there close to 8, so I look forward to checking them out next time we have another bowling outing.

We had my daughter's birthday party there yesterday and it was a great time, everyone had a blast and kept commenting what a great party it was. The food was good and all the staff was very pleasant and helpful, especially our Party Hostess Katie. We couldn't have had as nice a party as we did with out her help. It was a great place to have a kids party and when you do, definitely ask for the dedicated party host/hostess, it costs a little extra but very well worth it. We will definitely go back again.

Been coming here for their Monday special weekly for the past 3 months with no complaints. We used to like the place. Our last visit the attitude and hospitality of the staff was very poor (2/17/20). The bartender rolled her eyes and sighed when I asked for a cup of water and had done this to other members of our party. The regular concession stand had been closed all night but usually isn't. We had an issue with our lane and when brought up to staff it was brushed off and never fixed. We also have bowled alternate lanes at every one of our visits before but was told we couldn't this time because it was apparently never allowed. We were very disappointed at our last visit.

Great place to enjoy some bowling! We had a double birthday party here and it came off without hitch. It was fantastic! While the lanes lack some modern tech and amenities, (can't set bumpers up/down automatically for individual players, scoring computers are very minimal,) the lanes themselves are in fantastic condition, and the mechanicals a worked flawlessly. Highly recommended.

The Stanley Theatre, a stunning Baroque-style venue with a lavish gold-leaf interior and grand staircase, is an iconic historical landmark designed by renowned architect Thomas Lamb. Originally opened in 1928 as a movie palace, it has been exquisitely preserved and continues to host a variety of events including concerts and plays. Despite its historical charm, some visitors have noted that the seating can be tight for taller individuals.
This theater is beautiful. For it being in Utica it truly is gorgeous. The alcohol is around $11 which isn't bad. I recently went to the dirty dancing show and it turned out it was a movie with some occasional singing 😂 not the Broadway show I expected. I need to read things before I buy tickets. If you are looking for a fun night out in a beautiful theater this is the place. It's also next to a cute little bar that also has food. I've been to the Stanley around 15 to 20 times and loved it. This last time no one said you couldn't go outside and smoke and no one stopped a few of us. When I got out there I got my head bitten off by someone so I will not ever go out for a smoke during intermission again. Other than that it was fantastic. I'll post a snip from the dirty dancing show we seen. WE LAUGHED SO HARD when we realized I did not read this show properly and got us expensive tickets to watch a movie with a little bit of singing. Still a great show just not what I thought I was going to 😂

What a beautiful theatre! Went with some friends to see the Bored Teachers - The Struggle is Real Comedy Tour. Even sitting way up in the balcony was a good view of the venue. The decor and architecture were beautiful. The seats were pretty comfortable which was a surprise. We had one octogenarian with us and she struggled a little to get to our seats up the steep stairs so be mindful of your group's physical limitations and contact the venue with any questions about accessibility. My wife and I enjoyed an Getty's Irish Christmas Concert at The Stanley Theater. Wow, what a beautiful venue! By far the best of the many we've been to over the years. Such a historical venue, glad we got the chance to visit. Given the time in which it was built, the seating is very tight, too small for taller patrons. Hopefully, improving that will help. Can't wait to make another trip.

Too difficult to get to on that dangerous highway. City needs to fix downtown so it's safe to be an actual person there. It's dangerous to drive in that highway, let alone park, bike or walk into a business. Inhospitable.

Such a beautiful venue. We went to see the Getty’s Christmas concert at the Stanley Theatre. We loved it. The only complaint was from my husband who is 6’ 1 1/2”. He could barely fit in the row where we were sitting . Thankfully he had an aisle seat and could put his legs out there . Otherwise it would have very uncomfortable. If they come back to the theatre, we would try to find seats at the very front of the balcony

I went here with my mom when we went to see a play at the Stanley. Making reservations was key to getting a seat. It was our first time here, the atmosphere, service, and food they were point on!! My husband and I decided to order the shepherds pie via DoorDash. We haven’t been to Swifty’s in years because of the disappointing experience we had then. Didn’t think too much of it since it had been years so maybe it would be better. We love shepherds pie and have ordered it many times at authentic Irish pubs. What we received was absolutely awful. It was mostly greasy cheese and very little mashed potato. The beef tasted like ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. The description made it sound like traditional shepherds pie. If they think this is what shepherds pie should be, it is not. We will not make this mistake again.

I’m in town for the afternoon and stopped in for lunch and a drink. This place is freaking amazing. I would have give negative if possible! We got fish and chips, i can swear that you could get a cup of oil from it. Horrible horrible horrible. Never going back to this place anymore.

Came on a recommendation from a vendor we use at my workplace. I can't believe I've never been here before. Great food and service. Fries are hand cut with seasoning and so good! Have options for vegetarians and prices were reasonable. Will be back for sure!

Greek restaurant
Stathis Greek Restaurant & Gyro is a delightful family-run establishment that has recently made its debut in South Utica, quickly winning over the hearts of locals. This charming eatery specializes in authentic Greek dishes, featuring beloved classics like gyros, souvlaki, and moussaka. While some diners have noted that menu prices can vary unexpectedly, leading to occasional surprises at checkout, the overall dining experience remains enjoyable thanks to the attentive service from the staff.
My wife and I both had the Gyro Plate. This has lamb meat, seasoned rice, Greek salad with olives, tomato, onion, pita bread and then they give you Greek salad dressing and yogurt sauce. It was very good. I had Pepsi Zero and my wife had Mountain Dew. The waitress was pleasant.

Delicious food, lovely people. Great service every time I visit. My go-to dish is the salad.

Today was the first day of What The Truck Utica , and I always get a lamb gyro 🥙. Today I got it and as I was leaving my friends just arrived and I directed them to Stathis. They both got a lamb gyro as well. Definitely great food, and great customer service from both employees and the owner. I’ll be here next week!!! Food truck

Best Greek food in town! Homemade not generic like some other places locally.

Best gyro I have ever had! The portion of meat was so nice and satisfying. The onions sliced into perfection. Yogurt sauce is on point full of flavor, excellent for jumping into summer ! Wonderful service and wonderful people I highly recommend this restaurant and food truck.

My uncle was obsessed with this place. As he would always say how delicious everything was here. My brother suggested we go to lunch here. We all tried the specials of the day & we weren't disappointed. We all tried little of each other's plate. Each was delicious. I usually try something I am familiar with but I tried thier mix of eggplant & ground beef. Wow!! The portions were huge! The service was terrific!! I'll definitely be back!!

Very nice little place with excellent service and great food. The portions are on the larger side and they have very good prices for the quality and quantity you receive. We had a hummus appetizer which was very good. I had a gyro and a side order of fries which was more then enough for 2. My wife had the gyro platter which was large with a very generous portion of meat and a very nice Greek salad. I will make the journey back again to enjoy a good meal and would say if you are in the area stop in and give it a try.

My wife and I had Gyros from their Food Truck at the Chenango Blues Festival this past weekend. Best food at the Blues Fest. Totally awesome. Fresh, cooked properly, and the taste was amazing. Will be searching for that food truck at other festivals and events.
