Craylee's is a charming, family-owned diner nestled in Downtown Utica, New York. The bustling eatery offers a cozy dining experience with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Known for its traditional breakfast and lunch dishes, the menu features classic items like pancakes, omelettes, sandwiches, and salads at reasonable prices. Guests can expect generous portions and friendly service from the attentive staff.
Wow ! What a beautiful place. Visiting relatives in Utica and we always look for a local restaurant to try new dishes. We found a great one in Craylee’s. Intimate dining room with a great atmosphere. They had a few specials on the board so I decided to try one. Stuffed French Toast $11.75. Really? I’d would have paid double. It was delicious. The only thing better was our service. “Andrea” is the best. She had that personal, friendly disposition along with a Central New York attitude. ( It was a good thing) even though she is originally from Orlando. Thank you to Andrea for taking such great care of me and my family. I like the added touch of a deck of cards on the table. My brother and I had time for a quick game of Pitch. Great restaurant you have there Craylee’s. Thank you!

Came in for breakfast on Saturday at 9:30am. Seated promptly, despite being fairly busy. Very friendly service. Free parking on the streets outside. Decent selection of options. Coffee was good. The pancakes were good, wish they had real maple syrup. Irish Benedict was good, highly recommend their hash Browns. The steak and egg combo was very good. Overall good experience. The only down side was their entrance has no wind break or double entry, so the cold wind comes rushing in whenever anyone enters, and it's a busy place. Installing a double entry or a heated wind curtain fan on the door would be tremendous for overall heating/comfort.

Great food and superb service. It does get loud in here but it’s a cool vibe. The mushroom omelette was great tasting and cooked perfect just as was the eggs Benedict.

I love a good hometown restaurant where you're inclined to run into someone you know every time you visit. This was my first visit to Craylee's and I don't know anyone in Utica, but I was still treated as though I'm "one of them." Our server, who I believe is the owner, was friendly and conversational. I loved that I could stay on keto while eating at this place and told her that. She mentioned that her husband had also done keto and lost a lot of weight, so they understood the importance of having choices when you go out to eat. It was a snowy, crappy day in the midst of Covid, so the place wasn't as full as I expect it normally is. My husband and I enjoyed our visit, though, and will definitely be going back. Note: This review was written in 2022. I am sharing them from my Yelp account so that Google users can also find good places to eat. The photos were also taken then, so please do not judge today's prices by 3-year-old photos.

Enjoyed a fantastic breakfast atmosphere in downtown Utica. Opted for Hannah’s Special; though tasty, the portion was smaller than expected compared to other places. Reasonable prices overall. Highly recommend this spot! 👍🏼

Great place, great food, awesome service! A must if you're in the area.
Ozzie H — Google review
The food was delicious and the staff was super nice! My only regret was that it took me so long to try it out! There's a nice size bathroom with a changing table and everything in there is 100% handicap accessible. Truly one of the few assets Utica has!

This is a great place to eat the service was friendly, patient and thoughtful. Their food was delicious and came in large portions. If your thinking about trying this place just do it if your passing by and they are open stop in you will not be disappointed.

Very delicious food, we had breakfast here and will definitely go back. Very busy, so dont expect to get very fast service. Very nice servants

First time coming and the food was good. Walked in the place was extremely busy. Some of the waitresses were a little frustrated with each other trying to organize the situation of who is taking which table. I tried their stuff French toast with bacon.

Listen!!!! The food is awesome. I had the banana split French toast. The bananas were fresh. No butter nor syrup needed. My eldest son had the giabotta... if you have a palate for rich flavors, your taste buds will be in heaven!
Patrice P — Google review
The food was prepared and presented wonderfully. Very good I enjoyed it large portions had enough to take home. The atmosphere was a little stale maybe if some easy listening music was playing it would have charged the atmosphere a little more overall thumbs up 👍

Our family stopped here for breakfast while visiting the area. The diner was friendly and busy on a Saturday morning. We were seated right away. The service was great and the whole menu looked delicious. We chose specials from the board and were VERY pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic. We would highly recommend Top of the Morning. See pictures!

Disappointing Experience Despite Good Food We found this restaurant while camping nearby and were encouraged by the positive Google reviews—unfortunately, our experience didn’t match the hype. We were seated promptly, but after that, it was a long and confusing wait for service. Eventually, a server came by, surprised that no one had helped us yet, and said it had “been a day” before disappearing again. When she returned with menus quite a while later, she seemed overwhelmed and distracted while taking our order. While waiting for our food, another staff member randomly came over and dropped off a plate of toast crusts from another table, calling it “more toaste,” and asked if we needed anything else. We told her we were still waiting on our actual meals, but she just smiled, left the crusts, and we never saw her again. Later, the manager delivered a single dish from our order and seemed puzzled when we told her the rest hadn’t arrived. We also mentioned the toast incident—her only response was a confused look, and suggested the girl 'just had surgery'. Eventually, our original server brought the rest of our food and apologized. She candidly said the toast-giving staff member was “on drugs” and called the whole thing “ridiculous,” encouraging us to speak to the manager (who never returned). Despite the chaos, the food itself was pretty good. That said, they had a printed sign noting a $1 surcharge on meals with eggs due to pricing. Ironically, those of us who ordered eggs were served more than we could eat—portion control could have offset that cost better. As a final odd moment, a woman dining with a “service dog” left while the dog urinated on the carpet—no one addressed it. If we weren’t unfamiliar with the area and far from home, we likely would have left before ordering. There’s potential here, but the service was slow, disorganized, and frankly bizarre. Hope they get things under control.

Every time I visit my home town, I go to TOP of the Morning! This diner style, small Cafe in North Utica, has the most delicious home style breakfast you will ever taste. People like waffle house, but me? the food is every time I go to have breakfast. Where can you get that fantastic hot big breakfast? that's under 10 bucks! Guaranteed! Right off the thruway! I just wish there coffee was stronger ☕️
Laurie D — Google review
A couple of months ago my friend and I started going to this Cafe and now we go there once a week even though we live in Rome. No matter what time we show up the place is always packed with people. You might have to wait a few minutes to get seated but it's well worth the wait. The Waitresses are constantly moving to clean off tables, take orders, deliver our food and make sure our Coffee Cups are filled. Compliments to the other staff who are in the kitchen. On our last visit my friend who was a waitress in her earlier years was so impressed that she wrote a note on the back of our check thanking all the Waitresses and telling them that they were doing an awesome job. The Waitresses and Staff are Friendly and Courteous and the Atmosphere is Warm and Cozy. Thanks to Everyone at the Top of the Morning Cafe

Utica Coffee Roasting Company is a bustling cafe located in downtown Utica, offering a vibrant atmosphere filled with the rich aroma of freshly roasted coffee. The company has been sourcing high-quality coffee beans since 2005 and roasting them on-site, committed to providing ethically sourced products. In addition to an array of espresso drinks, iced coffee, and tea, they also serve light breakfast fare and delectable pastries.
When you think of a great coffee shop Utica is one that comes to mind. Zero complaints, everything was on point and they also have 32 oz sizes. Wanted to go here for a very long time and I'm extremely happy that I finally did. Prices are very reasonable and there is close parking. Definitely one of my top 5 favorite coffee shops not just in the state but in the country.

Luv, luv, luv everything about Utica Coffee Roasting Company located in Historic Bagg's Square West. Excellent coffee and service. You have to try the Wake The Hell Up blend. So good. They also have the best bagel breakfast sandwich. Equally important is the experience. It was truly a very welcoming environment.

This coffee shop has a fantastic atmosphere with an amazing aroma and welcoming feel. I visited on a busy Sunday morning, and the line was quite long, keeping the staff moving efficiently. I really enjoyed my coffee—though most options were light roast, and I personally prefer a darker one. Just something to note for fellow coffee lovers! Still, the coffee was delicious and well worth the visit.
Dan H — Google review
Everyone in Utica knows that this place is awesome, but I wanted to highlight an additional way in which they go above and beyond. We wanted to show off the best of Utica to our wedding guests so we worked with the Utica coffee team on custom bags for favors! They came out so good, and it was very easy to work with their team to design a bag! And, of course, our guests raved about how delicious the cannoli and half-moon flavors were after the wedding.
Claire P — Google review
Staff was very efficient and friendly. Patrons were also very friendly. I found it to be a very comfortable place to sit and have a cup of coffee. The French roast was not quite as bold as I would have wanted. I'm not sure if they gave me the right kind. But I drank it and enjoyed the atmosphere. I'll probably stop in and try again. I did not ask for a porcelain cup, but it would have been nice to have one. I'm not sure if that's an option there. I'll find out next time.

You guys. I just met my new BFF Cori. She and her husband bought a farm during Covid, but she's a people-person & needed to get back to work, and her former boss brought her back on at Utica Coffee Roasting. That's one of the things I learned on our first friend date. By "friend date," I mean she is the amazing barista who served me this morning and chatted with me as she made my drink. I ordered my usual - an iced breve latte. This time I asked for some honey in it, though. Cor (we are BFFs now, so I can call her that) asked if I had ever tried the lavender with the honey. Hold. The Front Door. LAVENDER? She added some of that floral deliciousness to my honey and Shazam!! It's so good! I also ordered up a pound of beans to go, but then C (we truly are besties, so she doesn't mind that I call her that) told me I could save a buck if I went with two pounds. I'm pretty sure that's a deal anyone can get even if they are not best buds with the best barista in Utica. I've said before that I love this place & always leave feeling like I've just made a friend. That's still the case. So WAKE THE HELL UP & go to Utica Coffee. Note: It might be Kori or Korrie or Corey or Cory. I will need to get that straight before I send her birthday card.
Jen P — Google review
Great coffee and I love the food options. My husband was able to get a bagel sandwich and I could get a scone. My latte was well made and really good, he got the blueberry coffee and loved it. Atmostphere wise, the vibe is laid back and chill but it can get loud as it is a smaller space. He was still able to log in and do the work he needed to get done.
Kaitlyn ( — Google review
We travel regularly from Ohio to MA and stay in Utica overnight, in part so we can have Utica coffee the next morning. We love their mugs (Wake the Hell Up) and their scones. I miss being able to get oatmeal. Forget the muffins; they are not muffins but huge blobs of oversweet cake. The staff is very organized and efficient and kind. The new mural is nice; the one in the back is a hoot. Love you guys.

Caruso's Pastry Shop is a delightful gem that has been serving up homemade Italian treats for over 60 years. This small family-run bakery boasts an impressive array of cakes, cookies, and pastries that truly stand out due to their freshness and quality. The cannolis are particularly noteworthy, featuring super fresh cream and crispy shells that melt in your mouth. Their assortment of cookies is equally enticing, making it easy to see why this shop has become a beloved local institution.
My family been coming here for years. We never had a bad experience. The cakes are always the perfect balance of being sweet without being too sweet

My grandparents have been ordering here for decades. Finally, I had a chance to revisit and order all the best tasting pastries I ate as a kid. After 20 years of missing out, it was like I was brought back in time again. Now my family gets to enjoy the same wonderful deserts I used to enjoy!

I always visit this pastry shop when I come back to this area. Their true, authentic pastries are second to none. Their Cannolis, cakes and pastries are outstanding.

Caruso's made a cake for our wedding. I'm so glad we picked them! They did an absolutely amazing job with our cake and it absolutely exceeded expectations. We wanted just a simple white cake with kind of rough edges. Mike absolutely wow'ed us by taking some artistic liberties and make a custom cake to fit our enchanted forest/woods theme. Cake looked great and tasted even better. Thank you so much!

I love this place. This year we ordered a cake and told them we were heading over and would be there just at 2. It was 203 and they already locked up and left. No cake. I understand it was our fault but come on we literally talked to them. Not that they need it but will sownd my $60 someplace else.

Bagel Grove is a beloved gem for bagel enthusiasts, known for its warm and welcoming atmosphere. Many patrons return time and again, drawn by the friendly staff who consistently provide excellent service. The bagels are celebrated for their freshness and delightful variety of toppings, with the cream cheese being a standout favorite—rich and creamy! Whether you're stopping in on a busy Sunday or making a special trip from afar, Bagel Grove promises deliciousness that keeps customers coming back.
I stopped by for the first time while they were open. Every other time they are closed. I haven’t been in years so I got the maple bacon bagel. It was absolutely delicious.
Jerry A — Google review
Bagel Grove is an absolute gem in Utica! The bagels are fresh, soft on the inside, perfectly chewy on the outside, and packed with flavor. I tried one of their bagel sandwiches and it was loaded with fresh ingredients—crispy lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and deliciously seasoned meat, all in a perfectly baked sesame bagel. It tasted amazing and felt super satisfying. The staff is friendly and quick, and the service is excellent. I also loved that my meal came with chips, making it a complete and filling lunch. The place itself has a cozy local vibe, making it the perfect spot for coffee, breakfast, or a quick lunch. If you’re in Utica, Bagel Grove is a must-visit. Highly recommended for anyone who loves fresh, high-quality food at a fair price!
Dan G — Google review
Everything bagel itself was great, but let me tell you…. The chive cream cheese was nasty. I would say I am a bagel snob, and love a good NY deli bagel with chive cream cheese. This was nothing like I’ve ever had before. It almost tasted like spinach instead of chive? It was so gross, I don’t know if I just got a bad spoiled batch, but next time I come, I definitely will not be getting that. Stick to sweet bagels/cream cheese or plain. Turkey bagel sandwich was AMAZING though. Super fresh. I am very familiar with homemade cream cheese, and have ate at plenty of bagel shops that made their own cream cheese. I appreciate the response, but it doesn’t change the fact that the chive did not taste good unfortunately. Thanks for the response though, I will be back!
Kenna K — Google review
Ordered food, didn’t know pickup window was in the back. Stood 5feet away from the pickup window told can’t stand there like your in a TSA line to get a bagel. Lady behind me leaning up to the window wasn’t told to move. Also if it was busy and I was in the way I would understand but there was 2 people there one was me waiting for food and the other was as the lady that was ordering and came up to the window behind me and wasnt told to move. Will never be back lady was RUDE. Also if you don’t want people to “watch” you make the food then put the prep station in the back and close it off. Asked for a refund was given that promptly by the manager. She was nice employee however needs a lesson in manners.
Admin B — Google review
My mother got me hooked on this place. She has been going here for many, many years and she loves it. Now I love it too. Their bagels always taste so fresh, but what's even better is their cream cheese. It's to die for! (and really creamy) :)
Hailey W — Google review
The cashier was great, very pleasant and polite but my order was absolutely Horrible! Literally everything I ordered was burnt and disgusting.
Alyssa S — Google review
The cream cheese has a very bold flavor. Even the plain cream cheese. Unlike any cream cheese I've had before.. Staff, bagels and professionalism is the reason for the stars. I appreciate the professional response from your establishment, and clarify the taste of your cream cheese. Thank you.

I discovered Castlewood Cafe, a hidden gem tucked away in an offbeat location. It proved to be a delightful discovery, offering a delectable seafood combo. However, I was slightly disappointed when they substituted haddock with a more robust-tasting fish without prior notice. This might not sit well with avid seafood enthusiasts. Nevertheless, the staff, including the hostess and waitress, were exceptional in their service delivery.
Excellent food, great portion sizes. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. A cast menu with something for everyone - breakfast and lunch! Thanks for taking care of us on Easter. Can't wait to go back.
Marshall — Google review
Breakfast: There are a couple of Southern-influenced items on the menu and plenty of super sweet breakfast confectionaries. We had the turtle stuffed french toast (which was too sweet to finish, unfortunately), and the florentine benedict (which had eggs cooked through, rather than poached with a soft yolk). Both were good besides the small issues. They were nice enough to make the eggs with the english muffin on the side. I see that they're hiring for many positions, so perhaps this isn't the best measure of their capabilities. The staff were all very nice, and the restaurant is comfortable. We paid $32 for the french toast, eggs benedict, and two coffees.

Food was great as always. Our waitress was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was a bit louder than normal, there was a very large "party" of more then 10 ppl. My husband and I have been coming here for years and now we bring our kids! Another great experience.
D B — Google review
My wife had the mild chicken riggies & I had the beer batter fish fry with home fries and I put gravy on them & I chose broccoli. The food was good. They're open until 9pm on Fridays. Both of our waitresses were good. The only thing we didn't care for was the use of a loud vacuum cleaner for several minutes. All customers kept looking around during this time waiting for it to stop.
Michael P — Google review
We go out to breakfast every weekend, we seen the news article on WKTV that they were opening up a 2nd location and we never heard of them so we wanted to try. Here's how it went: 1. My husband had lipstick on the side of his coffee cup. 2. We waited 45 minutes for our food. The person dropped it off and immediatetly turned around. Even with us having empty cups on the side. 3. Took 20 mins for waitress to come check on us after getting our food to get drinks and syrup for my husbands now COLD pancakes. 4. We paid for pancakes he took 2 bites out of because they were cold. I was done with my food way before the waitress finally came over. I hope they re-evaluate their waitresses and how they run it before opening a 2nd location. We came, we saw, we tried it, we wont return!!
Melissa M — Google review
We stumbled on this out of the way place and it was a good find we had the seafood combo it was good except they switched the haddock for a stronger flavored fish without informing us! That was a bit of disappointment for big seafood eaters . The hostess and waitress were exceptional the food was good and plentiful. The atmosphere was was nice you could have a nice dinner conversation without competing with loud music and obnoxious staff. We really enjoyed it. And are looking forward to returning 😊
Paula S — Google review
Service was very friendly and efficient the food not so much ordered a veggie wrap and the mushrooms were so old they were tough and woody flavor. Told the waitress so they knew so they could check them out and was basically dismissed . I would hate to have anyone get sick.
Chris D — Google review
The food is as mediocre as the plain red lettering above the cafe. The decoration is disjointed and old, the seats are torn, but it all lacks any retro charm. The bright spots: The service is very good. Our server was prompt and thoughtful. The prices are mostly fair. The bread is very tasty. The food is certainly edible. If you go, you might be better off sticking with the sandwiches. Keep your expectations low (lower than at a diner) and you won't be disappointed.

Great little bakery coffee shop. They sell a variety of breakfast items, like breakfast burritos or tacos, pancakes, etc. As well as baked goods and small cakes. Everything looked really good, and the place has a really nice vibe to it. Very busy with local crowd. I ordered the breakfast burrito, which was phenomenal. Highly recommend. Started at 5 stars with the best cup of black drip coffee I've had at a restaurant is a very long time. Enjoyed the vibe, and the gentleman taking orders/ coffee was friendly and prompt. Food was excellent when it came out but, there must have been an issue with the kitchen because it took 55 minutes for food to come out, while it looked like they were making pick-up orders. Post Reply: If it routinely takes 45 minutes for food to come out on weekends, there is an opportunity there for improvement.

Perfect breakfast spot. The food was delicious. We had Love m Berries Crepe and Chocolate Chip pancakes and they were both fantastic. The employees were friendly with bright smiles and the sunshine coming in the windows made the little front table spot my daughter chose a cozy, friendly place to enjoy our breakfast.

Kneed to Eat is a fantastic breakfast spot that you simply can't miss! The menu features a great variety of dishes, from fluffy pancakes to hearty breakfast burritos, all made with fresh ingredients. It’s hard to pick a favorite but chocolate chip pancakes!! What truly elevates the experience is the excellent service provided by owners Jay and Doug. They create a warm, welcoming atmosphere and genuinely care about their customers, making everyone feel valued. If you're looking for a great meal to start your day, I highly recommend Kneed to Eat. You won't be disappointed!

My husband and I are visiting from out of town and stopped in because it was located close to the hotel. This was a mistake. We hadn't looked at any reviews before going and now I wish I had. We ordered two grilled cheese sandwiches and waited over an hour for our food. I see the owner's responses to other reviews so thankfully we have timestamps. My husband's card was charged at 10:05am, and our food came at 11:10am. 65 minutes for mediocre grilled cheese sandwiches and bagged chips on chipped plates. Meanwhile Doordash orders were being made and sent off at twice the speed. The major issue though was the bathroom. There was water leaking through the wall adjacent to the kitchen and running across the wooden floor before pooling under the garbage and running into the next wall. The restaurants idea of "fixing" this was to put down a black rubber mat, which audibly squished whenever you stood on it. I've attached pictures of this as well. Save your money and support a more deserving business.

Highly recommend the Banana fosters Cinnamon French toast! I had breakfast here and everything was so delicious and fresh. I also ordered a grilled cheese sandwich to go for my train ride. The sandwich comes with a hearty tomato onion soup that is just so good. I can’t say enough great things about this Cafe, and the service was fantastic. Next time I’m in Utica I will definitely be coming back here!

In a world of mass-produced baked goods, Knead to Eat stands out as a beacon of artisanal excellence. Whether you’re looking for a quick treat or needing a custom dessert for a special occasion, this bakery is a must-visit. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Knead To Eat, a charming locally owned bakery which has quickly become my favorite when I visit Utica. Each time I have walked in, I was greeted by the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked goods that immediately set the tone for my exceptional experiences. And yes, when I am there, I always eat dessert before my meal. They look (and taste) too delicious to wait until after. The selection of pastries, desserts, breakfast and lunch options are nothing short of impressive. Each item is crafted with care and attention to detail, showcasing the bakery's commitment to quality ingredients and traditional baking methods. I sampled several items; each one was a delightful testament to the skill and passion of the bakers. What truly sets Knead to Eat apart is the owner, Doug. Of the 10 plus times I have been there, Doug has been very present as well. It has become uncommon to see restaurant owners have such front end involvement. His dedication to the restaurant and his craft is evident in every aspect of the bakery, from the warm customer service to the meticulous presentation of each plated item. Doug takes the time to engage with customers and ensures that everyone feels welcomed, valued and leaves full. I highly recommend supporting this local gem and indulging in the delicious offerings that the team at Knead to Eat creates with such passion. I can’t wait to return to Utica simply for this adorable gem of a restaurant. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options too

Welcoming entrance with a bustling clientele I just stopped in for a coffee and was able to get quick service. While waiting, I decided to grab some macarons for my daughters and had the pleasure of chatting with one of the bakers (maybe the owner?). He was incredibly friendly and humble while graciously accepting my compliments on his pastries. Such a great guy! Thank you for a truly enjoyable experience.

Denny's, a beloved casual diner chain, is your go-to destination for classic American comfort food. Located in the vibrant city of Utica, New York, this eatery boasts an extensive menu that caters to every palate. Whether you're craving all-day breakfast favorites like hearty omelettes or looking to indulge in juicy burgers and flavorful steaks, Denny's has you covered. The welcoming atmosphere and attentive service make it a perfect stop for travelers seeking a satisfying meal before hitting the road again.
My wife had a burger and Fries off the 2/4/6/8 Meal menu. I had the chicken fried steak with a double order of redskin potatoes, country gravy and dinner toast from the 55 plus year old menu. The staff were very polite. A staff member asked if everything was OK and thanked us for coming in.

We waited twenty minutes for our food to be ready, and upon its arrival, we found that our order was incomplete. The cook appeared unconcerned when the waitress informed him of the issue. The cook placed the blame solely on the new waitress. The waitress apologized for the inconvenience. It is essential for the cook to be knowledgeable about the menu. The manager rectified the situation by reducing our bill. Nevertheless, the manager should have also addressed the issue with the cook. Our waitress received a minimal tip.

I'm on the road a lot so finding a good place to eat becomes difficult, this Denny's definitely hit the spot. Our waitress was great on top of everything. The food was amazing. Exactly what we needed before our long drive back home. Definitely recommend this. Denny's we were in out. It was quick delicious and the prices were good too.

Typically I come to this Denny's as a washer picking up orders, but the other day I stopped in for a bite. Service was friendly and prompt. My pot roast sandwich was tender and filling. Amd the servers, Courtney and Cheyanne, were fantastic hosts! I look forward to eating there again.

3/4 of the restaurant was empty. I stood waiting to be seated for almost 20 minutes before I finally decided to walk out. I and many others had walked out and many others after me walked out there was maybe four or five booths being used out of everything in the building. If I could get a blessing one star I would. would not recommend.

The restaurant was very unstaffed. We had to walk up to the counter to get refills for our drinks. My husband didn't receive his full order. Another family waited about 10 minutes at the register to pay his bill because no one was working at the counter. The food came out hot and fresh. The food tasted good. The service was poor.

Everytime I order from this place on door dash they either don’t send the stuff that’s supposed to come with it or add the whole damn bottle of ranch to ur salad. Always something messed up. No matter who’s working. And btw the chocolate pancakes with banana never comes with the damn bananas. Below is the side salad with ranch. It’s not a salad anymore it’s now considered ranch soup.

Never will go here again. Our waitress was still training but giving the customers their check before they get their food very rude. My best friend ordered the Lumberjack breakfast and I got an omelet with bacon, mushroom and tomatoes and cheese. Which came with hash browns. Our food sat up in the window for at least 30 minutes. And when the food came she did not bring everything. His came with pancakes , and we had to say something. The cook gave the waitress an attitude. He should of known better since he was the cook. He finally got them and they were gross. We said something to the guy in charge and he gave us a discount. So to say we both had upset stomachs from the food. Horrible

Tramontane Cafe is a funky and cozy neighborhood spot located in Utica's Baggs Square. The cafe offers a variety of coffee drinks, wine, and craft beer along with a menu of sandwiches, salads, and light fare. It's known for its live music events like open mic nights on Sundays. The decor is whimsically eclectic and the menu includes inventive twists on familiar dishes as well as vegan and gluten-free options.
All the food was absolutely amazing as well as the service. We tried the Rachel and the Holy cheese apple and ham Batman sandwiches. Both phenomenal. They have trivia events, a vintage store, a used book store, all the proceeds go to a cat rescue. The music was old timey in the best way, it had lots of warm light, and overall had a homey ambiance.

Really gorgeous place. Love that there's a big book and game selection. I feel like the customer service was top of the line, very intentional and kind! For me personally, the music was too loud, and because of that it was really hard for me to find a spot where I felt like I could breathe a little better, but I did eventually find one that worked. Food was great! Matcha was quite well done! Would definitely go again given the opportunity, even though I'd probably use some headphones, lol.

What a wonderful cafe and coffee house. The inside is hodgepodge in a really delightful way, with its various seating options and wide variety of knickknacks all around. The iced coffee is tasty, as are their muffins, and their tuna melt with chopped olives is delightful. And SO much happens there: readings, open mics, game nights. You really have to keep up with their Facebook page to get a sense of what they have to offer. It’s an embarrassment of riches.

McDonald's is a timeless fast-food institution that has captured the hearts of many with its iconic burgers and fries. Recently, I stumbled upon their breakfast sandwich, which was a delightful surprise! Made with fresh ingredients, it truly sets the tone for a great day ahead. Additionally, I couldn't help but notice their fish fillet sandwich; it's been receiving rave reviews for its perfectly seasoned breading and tender fish.
OK so the main restaurant looks as if nobody has cleaned all day, 8 people waiting for orders. It says they are serving them but they haven't even started them just trying to keep these wait times low in the computer. Bathrooms have not been cleaned all either by the look and smell of them. The employees have also not acknowledged a single in restaurant customer. They are catering to the drive through and forgetting about the in-store people. Parking still has an excessive amount of ice past an acceptable amount of time from the last snowfall. My food was lukewarm at best, my BIG was falling apart and I had to reassemble it. And I got like 7.5 nuggets even with the box being labeled 10, but then again the don't pay them to read I guess.
Zachary M — Google review
Helpful and pleasant staff took my order, rude girl gave me directions on how to eat a burger patty with a spoon, minus a star. quarter pounder patties were a little pink inside, I hope we don't get sick. Sricky floor and paper debris on the floor, yuck. Bare ones, no napkins, no catsup ... Weird.
Jen B — Google review
Crazy how nice that people were in the Drive-Thru. thinking it's a pleasant experience. My daughter opens up her Big Mac, and there was a bite taken out of one of her patties. I usually don't try and call the place because I've worked in restaurants and fast food and I know how it goes but I tried calling and didnt get a answer at all. It's frustrating I don't know why somebody would take a bite out of a Patty and serve it!!!
Ashley A — Google review
I was waiting for a half hour in the drive-thru, and this is what I get? You call this food? This quarter pounder smells like burnt meat. Unacceptable…
David D — Google review
This McDonald's not only took $10 from me (despite paying with two $20 bills, they falsely claimed I used one $20 bill and one $10 bill), but my chicken sandwich also had mold on its bread. Furthermore, the service at the drive-through was extremely disappointing. Sadly I can’t give them a zero star or I would as they don’t even deserve a 1 star.
Mikah H — Google review
Years ago it was ok. Now you always have to wait. It’s not fast food, but slow food. Writing this while waiting 30 minutes for food, and still didn’t get it. I’m inside hungry and annoyed. Don’t come here until they have new management or ownership.
Alex Z — Google review
I went to this location to use the internet while in town. I was shocked by the state of the place. We weren't offered assistance, so we used the kiosk and chose dine-in. When we received our food it was bagged. Not such an issue. The place was filthy though. Garbages were overflowing, there was food and garbage on the floor, tables and windows were dirty (didn't get many photos of that), yet I saw some employees just hanging around. A toilet in the women's room was full of a mess, and while I was in there an employee came in to fix her hair. She must've seen it, but an hour minutes later it was in the same condition. It was about 4:30pm on a Saturday and the place was not at all busy, nor was the drive-thru. I will try to avoid this location and you should too.
La R — Google review
Steer clear of this McDonald's location. My recent visit was a masterclass in how not to run a fast-food establishment. The issues began with the restrooms, which reeked of urine and lacked trash bags in the bins—a clear sign of neglect. The lobby trashcans were overflowing as well, giving the entire dining area a dismal, unkempt feel. As for the staff, out of the four employees I observed, only two were in uniform, and none seemed to be paying any attention to the front counter. This lack of attentiveness became painfully clear when my partner and I received cheeseburgers without cheese. While I take partial blame for ordering through the kiosk, it’s inexcusable that the staff didn't warn us about the missing ingredient until we brought it to their attention. The absence of cheese was particularly frustrating because it might have salvaged the lukewarm, dry burgers, fries, and nuggets that had clearly been sitting for far too long.Thankfully, I was just passing through and won't be returning. Believe the other recent reviews—this place has earned every bit of negative feedback it's received.

We dropped in an hour before closing, halfway on our road trip from Toronto to Boston. Can't say enough good things. Messed up my entire order. The only thing I was able to eat was the homemade potatoes. I ordered loaded potatoes. I asked the young girl at the register twice if they were loaded potatoes. She said yes. They were not loaded at all. Dunkin' is a beloved chain known for its signature breakfast offerings and an extensive range of coffee beverages. While some patrons have experienced slow service, particularly during busy times when staff may seem preoccupied, many others have enjoyed their visits. For instance, on a chilly Sunday night, one customer was thrilled to find fresh and delicious coffee just before closing time, praising the friendly staff who brightened their evening.
I got 9ff of I-90 on a cold rainy night to buy coffee. I barely made it to this store before they closed on a Sunday night, but the coffee was fresh and hot and very tasty, staff was sweet like Sunday morning, tho they were ready to close. I am eternally grateful to have gotten this big giant cup of Love! Will eat here again for sure

Awful! Waited in line for over 10 minutes to be told rudely when I ordered a bagel with bacon n cheese “it's gonna be a long wait” so I decided to get my husband and I just 2 Boston Cream donuts since it was faster and these were the worst Boston Cream donuts we ever saw and tasted !! look at the picture !!this is how their donuts look like ( back had custard coming out , and it’s not their typical style Boston cream donut) and they tasted awful. How can a place this bad still be open?
Anna D — Google review
If I could give zero stars, I would. The service at this Dunkin’ was ridiculously slow, and the staff didn’t acknowledge us at all. I thought using the kiosk would make things faster, but it seemed like they weren’t even checking the orders. When I asked about mine, they just pulled the sticker from the receipt machine like they had never seen it before—meanwhile, there was a huge backlog of stickers, meaning tons of orders were probably being ignored or delayed. Clearly, from all the other bad reviews, this place shouldn’t even be open. It’s completely disorganized and a waste of time.

Came here the other day (10/4/25) looking for the munchkin Halloween bucket, but they were out of munchkins when we asked for it. Came back the next day (10/5/25) and ask for the bucket with munchkins. We were then told they are not for sale while they are openly displayed on the display case. The service is also really slow and they always seem to be backed up. Also got assorted munchkins and they gave us all glaze….If you are wanting a quick breakfast don’t stop here. Really disappointing. Won’t be coming back

A nice shop, clean and decently maintained. I went in at the start of the morning rush when it was busy, but the crew worked quickly and efficiently whilst remaining in high spirits. This shop made me hopeful that young people can still be excellent workers.
Joe ( — Google review
The workers at this location are literally trained to ignore you if you’re in the walk up. I’ve never experienced this at any other location but have had this happen multiple times here where you walk in and there will be four or five workers all backs turned avoiding any eye contact and acting like there is not a line of people with messed up orders waiting for any worker to turn around. It’s such a bizarre thing to see in person because they know you’re standing there and they don’t even give a “just one second” or “I’ll be right with you” they just pretend not to see you and if you’re lucky you’ll get a little side eye glance. Absolutely hate getting food from this location because if they mess up at the drive through you’re better off getting back into the 10 car pile up line that backs into the road than parking and walking inside to fix your order.
Gravitys R — Google review
Food order is always incorrect, service is nonexistent, and they make you feel as if the customer is an inconvenience to their personal conversations. Don't ever go here. Especially not if you're expecting to get anywhere on time afterwards. I waited 10 minutes for a black cold brew. Being a franchise, you would think that management might have a bit of a grasp, but unfortunately, the pace is determined by the 15 year old employees with no motivation to work. As problematic and expensive as Starbucks is, at least they've got it together and can turnover a drive through line.

Sheri's Eastside Diner is a cozy breakfast spot with generous portions and friendly service. The diner offers a variety of dishes, including cornmeal pancakes that may not be for everyone but are loved by many. The owner, Sheri, is known for her fair prices and accommodating nature, often willing to customize orders to meet customers' preferences. The staff provides quick and personable service, ensuring that coffee stays hot and refills are readily available.
5 Stars all the way! Yes that's right... We ate breakfast so let's stick to that. It is only a breakfast and lunch place. The food( eggs, pancakes, bacon, sausage, home fries and coffee), all were excellent! And I mean cooked just as if homemade. This is not something I could say these days about most places, but yep the eggs were cooked just as ordered( over medium no loose white) the pancakes were thin and flavorful ( not dry and tasteless), bacon was crispy as ordered, sausage browned, juicy and tasty, home fries just yummy good, and oh the coffee, I saved the best for last The coffee is such an important part of a good breakfast and it sure past the test at Sheri's and our cups was kept full, there were so many servers working keeping everything moving nice and smoothly throughout the restaurant. Even Sheri was running around working hard! It was a real pleasure to watch and even more so to find a place that hit all the boxes ( a rarity)! We'll have to return, maybe for lunch too.
David S — Google review
It's a diner with semi-conversant and pleasant wait staff. Food was very good and priced affordable. The waiter brought me more beverages than I ordered and didn't comp. Wraps were delicious. Tough to get back on I-90 if you are heading East.

Great little diner over on the east side. Lots of room inside and quick to get a table. The coffee is hot and constantly refilled, and the food was tasty. You can’t go wrong with bacon, eggs, home fries, and toast and it came out quick. Sheri was our server and she was fast, polite and welcoming, definitely will be going back!

On a long drive up to Niagara Falls we saw all the positive reviews about Sheri’s and decided it was the place to stop for breakfast break. Best decision ever, food was amazing (we were so excited to eat I forgot to take pictures beforehand), and we even got to meet Sheri! Highly recommend stopping by this diner, very accessible from the highway and an absolute delight.
Emily B — Google review
I have never failed to clean a plate in my adult life. Then I met Sheri today. Her service as she waited our rather lively raucous table was second to none. The food was delicious. I could not finish. Nor could my rather large long time professional lunch partner. The amount of food and taste was just nothing I ever imagined. While Sheri won by serving us meals we could not finish, we also won for having the experience. I will be going there every time I go back to Utica. The price was so reasonable we could not have gotten a quarter of the food at a fast food place for the price. 10/10. Great good. Great portions. Sheri herself is an absolute treasure.
Joseph G — Google review
Went to breakfast and everything was very good. Service was ok. They just need people to show up for work. The portions were pretty good, and the pancakes are the size of a plate. The pancakes were made of cornmeal, I personally did not care for them. On the other hand, my wife loved them! Toward the end of our visit, the owner came over and spoke to us, asking us how everything was. She was very pleasant and genuine. The prices are pretty good too. We will definitely be going back, the wife suggested, "Let's try lunch!"

Absolutely love the whole team. The taste of the food is impeccable. Local. Great prices. Treated my boyfriend to breakfast when he got out of work one morning and it was just a great atmosphere so friendly he was able to relax and take the load off after work and talk about it without it being too loud in the diner. The staff was not to pushy. They let us have our time and only came when they felt they needed to help us out with refills. Two big breakfasts, two coffees, I left a $10 bill for the waitress as a tip. All around came out to $50 . ( Without my adding the $10 tip, the price was originally about $40 ) I go often and I WILL BE BACK A LOT MORE.

Taco Bell is a fast-food haven that specializes in Mexican-inspired dishes, offering a delightful array of options like tacos, quesadillas, and nachos. One standout item is the cheese quesadilla, which strikes the perfect balance between crispy and tender without being overly doughy. While some menu items may occasionally miss the mark—like forgetting extra sauces or having too much lettuce in a chicken bowl—the overall experience remains enjoyable.
I have been to Taco Bell hundreds of times, all across the country. I don't know if this is the usual experience. But I just left there. The food was all there. It was all perfect and quick and ready. It was unbelievable. The best meal and experience I have ever had at any taco bell. Please for the people of earth keep doing the Lord's work. Thank you. I hope the people of Utica appreciate you. I know I do.

the serving is just not it. flattest burrito, no rice in my burrito, just few stuffs and a very light chicken got this order from drive thru today, around 7:30-8:00 in the evening. cashier didnt inform me that there was no rice in my burrito before he gave me the order. last picture is the photo reference of a”tacobell chicken burrito” how it should be

The crunchwrap that I bought had less than an ounce of beef in it. They tell me it was supposed to have 5 oz in it being a restaurant owner I know what 5 oz is supposed to look like. Next time I'll spend my $8 elsewhere.

I feel like it's a loss every time I stop to this location. My order is rarely accurate, it's also absurdly expensive for the quality of ingredients. Credit where credit is due, the cantina chicken quesadilla is top notch. I don't think I've ever been given nacho chips, sauces are hit and miss but it's obnoxious when I've paid for them. Other wins include missing items, uncooked nacho fries, and undrinkable sodas. Shoutout to the staff at the window that are almost always very friendly and personable

Food is good, price increase like every . The dining room at this location (North Utica) closes at 9 p.m. on the dot!! They will NOT let you finish eatting there if it's closing time! They will ask you what you need to pack your meal up to leave. Most establishments will lock the doors and allow you to finish and then let you out of the building when your done, but not at this location. The establishment was clean.

DOES IT LOOK APPETIZING TO YOU MR FRANCHISE OWNERS???!! I asked for extra beef so they flopped some extra beef on top of an older made burrito. Next time you might get this nasty burrito thrown at your drive through window.

I go here all the time because it’s closest to home. My order is always slapped together and it’s ALWAYS mostly bread….… I had to get a refund a week ago because I got tired of the problem and began to document my issue. Fast food is only getting worse with the pay going up….. first photo of my triangle chicken wrap, that bad boy had about 3 pieces in him, threw him right out, not even the neighborhood cats wanted anything to do with him. Next up is lucky number 2, this bad mama had 3 pieces in the back and 1 in the front, she was hollow mostly but dam did she love being slapped up againts my trash can. I’m gonna go pick up the 3rd tomorrow, hoping she can stick around for the ride and offer me more to eat, unlike her 2 siblings who were belimic and unhealthy. Poor homely things.

Nestled in the heart of Utica, Goldens is a delightful gem that captures the essence of a classic diner while offering an innovative twist on breakfast and brunch. The culinary mastermind behind this charming spot, Jeff, not only whips up mouthwatering dishes but also creates a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes every visit special.
I can’t tell you what you’re missing until you step in to get a feel and taste. It’s a small joint and and this guy engages in conversation, makes your meal in front of you, and you get to enjoy the the experience. Definitely a place I’d go for lunch if you need a new spot, or every Tuesday kinda place. Love this place and the pic is a Utica Burger with garlic fries

These are the places I like to find. This little gem will not disappoint unless you want takeout, which they don’t have from what I’m told. Jeff is the owner, chef, prep guy, server and dishwasher all in one. I gave him 5 stars across the board including atmosphere. It might not be a 5 star restaurant atmosphere that you’re paying $100 a plate but it’s great for this little place. I had breakfast here and I’ll be going back later today for lunch. To many things that I have to try in the short two days I’m in town. The food was delicious and it was like my mom or day was in the kitchen cooking it for me. This is a must try. Open Monday thru Friday 7-2. Come get you some good food cook fresh daily.
Ken S — Google review
Best burgers in town. I mean like nothing comes close. Jeff makes other stuff too which the wife loves, but I never get past the burgers on the menu. The good stuff: the chef and owner is a world-class chef who got tired of making hundreds of five-star meals every night, and focused his locally sourced foodie genius on the most humble of dive bar diners. He grows or forages much of what he serves, and is a damn interesting guy on top of all that. The bad: it's SMALL. A counter that sits 8, and two small tables. Come during off hours if at all possible. But... come.

This place is great! Owner/operator is a cool and kind cat, a retired chef with lots of great stories if you ask him. He slings delicious eggs and will get you in and out quickly if you need it! The atmosphere of this little triangular hole in the wall diner is, true to form, golden.
Adrian E — Google review

Golden’s is a favorite spot for a classic diner vibe. In addition to the atmosphere, the owner cooks food on the spot and with great intention and passion. For example, yogurt is homemade, pickled ramps foraged locally show up in a simple tomato salad side with smoked gouda. It’s the attention to detail that sets Golden’s apart from many businesses today. It’s hard not to be present with what you’re eating, which makes for a Golden experience (pun-intended 😋).

Roso's Cafe Catering is a delightful culinary gem that offers an impressive array of mouthwatering dishes at fantastic prices. Whether you're indulging in their hearty breakfast sandwiches, fluffy omelets, or decadent French toast, each bite is a celebration of flavor. Their lunch menu boasts a variety of unique sandwiches and salads, like the Downtowner with roasted turkey and Swiss cheese paired with cran mayonnaise—perfect for those seeking something filling yet delicious.
Diane catered the soft opening event for our new retail store on September 25, 2025. She and her wait staff were well-prepared and friendly, passing hors d’Oeuvres in our busy store without missing a beat. We were very pleased that Diane and her staff were organized and able to accommodate moving our event inside at the last minute due to rain; and we heard great things about the food from our guests! Diane is professional and easy to work with, we will definitely call her again for our next event!

12/11/24 delivery via grubhub took over 35 minutes due to other deliveries, this is such BS! The breakfast burrito was delicious. would order that again. The Bahama mama salad ( my favorite salad here) was not fresh this time.. most of all ingredients were old & mushy. These old items Should not of been included in a salad costing $12, the cucumbers were old, the purple lettuce was slimy & gross. Most of strawberries were old as well. Very very disappointed in the salad this time. I'll attach a couple pics, sometimes it's hard to see the oldness in pics. House balsamic Dressing was tasty. Coffee was good. Hope this was just an uncaring employee & will not be the norm for salads.

You guys!!! This is a gem of a place! I was on my way to Saratoga Springs and I was starving so I made a pit stop here after googling “best avocado toast in Utica.” Roso’s is located on the 2nd floor of the Adirondack Bank Center. It’s super cute and inviting inside. Theyre known for their catering, but you can also come in for a sit down breakfast/lunch or order out! I could tell this is a local favorite because the waitress knew the customers by name. Love it! I ordered the California Breakfast Sandwich which is eggs, spinach, tomatoes, onions, avocado, pesto served on your choice of bread. THIS SANDWICH was easily one of the most delicious breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. And I make a MEANNNNNNN breakfast sandwich. Go here! The prices are also great. I would definitely come back on my way through Utica.

This place has so many delicious-sounding items that it's so difficult to only order one every time I go- everything is my favorite! If you like variety and trying new flavors and always in the mood for something different but super tasty and filling, you'll love Roso's. Even if you like consistency and order the same thing each time, you'll love Roso's. The specials are so imaginative and unique, the food is super fresh and always hot, and the beet salad is my favorite to order on the side. I keep coming back because I'm determined to try everything on the menu! And they're FAST! I recommend calling in a take out order instead of ordering online, their variety isn't completely captured using the online menu.

I ordered the 2 full trays raspberry pork tenderloin as an appetizer for a party. They were a hit. People kept coming back for more. Unbelievably delicious. They could very well be seved as an entree. And they were delicious cold.i "caught" people going into the fridge and helping themselves. Also the raspberry dressing is not overly sweet. Just perfect. I wish I had a photo to post.

I had a catering order, so stay with me. Food looked great, people seemed to enjoy it. Price on food items was very reasonable but here is where you lost me. On a $130 bill, I had $46 worth of charges that did not pertain to any food.. $10 delivery, perfectly fair and acceptable, a 20% gratuity charge. What exactly am I leaving gratuity for ? I’m not being served, it’s a delivery and you already charged me for delivery. Plus a $7 credit card charge which I think if you want my business the cc charge is ridiculous.

Ordered platters for Christmas Eve, got bagels breakfast sandwich platter and a muffin platter. Food was delivered to our house on time, the food had large portions and price was reasonable. Everyone was very happy. Surprised that even though the sandwiches looked heavy they tasted fresh and light. The sausage and bacon were not greasy and the muffins were fluffy and large. No left overs! Would recommend and order again.

Love their breakfast! Breakfast sandwiches, omelets, French toast: all out of this world. Lunch is great too. Their menu is super varied and is filled with tons of different interesting ingredients and flavor combinations. And on top of that, their menu is pretty big, which is a great change. Very excited to try different things from here. Everything has been great so far. Love that their prices are so reasonable. Definitely has turned into one of my favorite places for breakfast or lunch. Anytime the tiniest mistake happens, the owner is fantastic about making it right, whether I ask for her to or not. Great customer service. Give them a try! You can order delivery right from them or their website now too! The only thing I wish was different is that they were open later and on weekends!

McDonald's is a timeless fast-food institution celebrated for its iconic burgers and crispy fries. During my recent visit to the McDonald's in Utica, NY, I was particularly impressed by the professionalism of Manager Jarvis. He skillfully managed a challenging situation with an unruly customer, showcasing remarkable composure and respect. It was refreshing to see such dedication to customer service in action! After witnessing his adept handling of the incident, I couldn't help but shake his hand in appreciation.
Excellent McDonald's!! They had pretty good (friendly) employees working the counter when I arrived at 3:15. I especially liked the male manager (who was having a team meeting when I showed up). He emphasized team work and accountability!! He sounds like an excellent manager, and definitely an asset to McDonald's!! Well run McDonald's!!
Billy R — Google review
So I show up and it's a 24 hour McDonald's with 2 lanes. 1 lane has a car in it, so I pull to the other and wait. We're waiting for a while and finally the one car orders and I assume it's my turn. Nope the car behind it orders and I'm waiting. I notice a guy on foot standing behind the car and they get to him first. So I decide to pull back and pull into that lane. And they take the guys order who ordered on the app who is also on foot. So I order and worst mannerisms for a McDonald's. I imagine there's a more customary way to take an order but that's out the window. No ask if I want a different size and no total cost or no double checking the order. So I pull up the window and I pay and get my food in normal time but my drink was missing ice and 75% full. There was no one behind me so I don't understand the lack of customer service. The food. Fries were double salted which I couldn't finish and the burger was normal. Give them credit there. Because it's late does that mean the decline on service?
Elliott T — Google review
Worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. How you have the worst attitudes on a normal day and this particular night have all the lights on menu’s on in the drive thru machines on and no one is in there?! At night drive thru seems impossible to get through because no one answers the speakers anyway. Should be shut down or get new hires because what you got is absolute trash! There’s no customer service here! Supposed to be 24/7 but they leave when they want to.

This store is crazy i had a door dash all they do is play arond i would of fired everyone in this place. Or have them straigthen there act cause this mcdonalds is going down like dunkin in onieda square.
Michael H — Google review
Got DoorDash and most of order was missing. What arrived was not correct. Drinks 3/4 full or less. Wrong sauces. 2 drinks but 1 straw and it was open? That’s crazy. I understand late nights are hard but please read your tickets, verify what’s in the bag, and definitely do not send open straws to guests. I have pictures from DoorDash complaint but don’t see where to post them here. Please do better. Some of us work late and occasionally depend on late night McDonald’s for dinner as they are the only place open on DoorDash.
Sara E — Google review
If I could give it 0 stars I would. 12 minutes to go through drive though with 1 other car there. That was it. The cashier took off for 3 mins and said she had to help make the food too. This is EVERY time I come here. I would love to shout out Kaden for her professionalism, courtesy and kindness. She's amazing.

Great restaurant!! Well run restaurant by Mgr Jarvis!! I had a great experience at this McDonald's in Utica, NY! I was in line, and Manager JARVIS handled an irate, and unruly customer in a respectful and professional manner!! He diffused the situation quickly even though the irate customer was clearly and totally at fault! I was so impressed with Mgr. Jarvis that I shook his hand afterward (after the unruly customer left)! The customer service person (at the counter) was equally professional during the time that Jarvis took care of the unruly customer!! Great McDonald's location!! FIVE STARS!!! I wish I could give more!

ATTENTION:Tom Jr !!!!! THIS PLACE NEEDS ADULT SUPERVISION....Where do I begin? OH MY GOD! FILTHY! Employees on cell phones when cleaning desperately needed to be done. Black male employee filling a French fry cooler with no gloves & every time he turned his head away his dreadlocks would fling inward into where the french fries were being stored. The french fries were not in bags they were loose. So if anybody complains of black hair in their french fries you'll know where it came from. Areas where drinks are poured Etc with soaked napkins and other items they are not being cleaned up. French fries everywhere, papers everywhere, soda Lids everywhere. The floor had muddy Footprints coming in from outside. The front hallway was muddy footprinted .Tables with garbage left from people who had eaten and not put their stuff in the garbage can. Garbage cans not emptied. 1 male youth sleeping at a table. People hanging around in the parking lot listening to music and their vehicles full blast.

This place is so dirty (the pictures do no justice) that I’ll never be there again. The bun was hard and the meat over cooked. There were fries all over the service area floor and the attendants didn’t obviously care. I wonder if the owner of that location go visit and see the mess that store is in. The employees were messy and the girl that serving food needed to brush that hair badly. I asked “don’t you ppl clean?” and I was told “nope, we don’t have time.” Lastly, the soda machine didn’t have soda and I had to ask for a straw, napkins and ketchup. They just don’t care. Never again! 😑

Disgusting Experience at McDonald’s on Mohawk Street, Utica I’ve been to McDonald’s locations all across the tri-state area, and I can confidently say that the ones in the Mohawk Valley—especially this location on Mohawk Street in Utica—are by far the worst I’ve ever encountered. This visit was an absolute nightmare, and I’m beyond disappointed. The kitchen was an outright mess—floors covered in fries, random receipts, and who-knows-what-else scattered everywhere. There were paper towels just sitting on the counter, and the overall state of the place looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in hours, if not days. I get that fast food can be hectic, but this level of filth is unacceptable. It made me seriously question the hygiene standards here and whether my food was even safe to eat. Compared to other McDonald’s in the region, the Mohawk Valley locations are consistently subpar. I’ve never had an issue with cleanliness or service at spots in Albany, Syracuse, or even smaller towns, but every time I visit one in this area, it’s a gamble. This location takes the cake for being the most disgusting fast food spot I’ve ever stepped foot in. Save yourself the trouble and drive a bit further to a cleaner, better-managed McDonald’s. I won’t be coming back here anytime soon.

I will never go to this McDonald’s again. I went to order some fries so when I got the fries they was cold so when they gave me fresh fries you couldn’t even eat them because it was so much salt on them. No wonder why they was laughing. Sept 12, 2025 at 7:15pm. I don’t know if this girl was the manager or supervisor but the way she talk to the employees she needs to go or get retrained.
Sabrina J — Google review
The worst McDonald's ever RAW quarter pounder cold unsalted fries! They never have any of the special menu items the shake mechanic is either broken or they never got the items to make the new grimace shake. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE EATING FROM THIS MCDONALD'S....

Just went to order a sandwich and they have a new girl by herself working the counter and trying to prepare food while the manager and cook are outside passing a joint. Unreal!!! Is this the new advertisement for McDonald's? I'll be going out of my way to Burger King in North Utica.

Staffs could do better in being friendly and helpful to people who go in to the Cafe to enjoy their time with friends... The last time I was here... Last Saturday, i stand in line for 5 minutes... I was in line right behind my friends who just ordered... I thought they'd take my order since I was standing right there... But nope. All the staff looking straight at me and say nothing... Just going about doing their things.. And no one say to me "we will be right there with you".. Nope. No greeting or say anything. I stand there for a few minutes, another customer came in... Then she said to me, "I'll just order on the app"-... But anyways, a café like this should do better with welcoming and being friendly. Prioritize customers that go inside.

Ordered a Strawberry Creme Frappuccino Blended Beverage. They got the order wrong. No strawberry puree even though I ordered it. I usually order this exact same thing at other Starbucks and it is nothing like the one I got today. Tasted terrible. Not going there again. I guess they don't really care. On top of that, the staff gave of a totally entitled vibe.

Went one time to pick up my mobile order and the employee (a young female) was very rude at the window and didn’t make our drinks correctly, then got upset when I asked her to add cold foam when I payed for it and told me they didn’t have it there. The next time I had this same employee she was again very miserable and made our drinks wrong again, one even being the wrong size. She didn’t give us our food at the window so I went inside and asked for it, she looked right at me and ignored me. The other worker was also right there and ignored me. Worker was clearly making a drink with bad milk and had to go back and fix it. I was standing for 5 minutes in the front with no one in the store in front or behind me with two workers and what looked to be manager all pretending I was not there and not acknowledging my presence, I then asked again and then was told to wait. After a bit of time went by the manger finally asked if I had been helped and told them I went through the drive thru and didn’t receive my food which was clearly sitting near the drive thru window in a bag. I was just at the window and she clearly knew she just saw me as she said my name and all she had to do was stop and give me my bag. Drinks were made with dairy milk instead of oat milk, one was the wrong size, and didn’t seem to be shaken. The employees seem miserable and have terrible customer service.
Dom S — Google review
Atrocious service, refused to serve a paying customer because a former employee verbally abused me last year. That former employee recently made the news for having been arrested, so I thought it would be safe to come back, but nope. Other former baristas and managers have told me that the N Utica store cannot keep staff because "all the good people left." Maybe you, yes YOU, shift leaders and store manager should look at yourself and consider that this is a YOU problem. I get it, you don't like me but that's neither here nor there. I've never had this problem in all the Starbucks across the US and Canada I've visited. SHAME ON YOU.
