Restaurant
The Boathouse Eatery, a cozy and rustic establishment located by the water, offers a variety of delicious fare ranging from classic pub dishes to delectable seafood specialties. With its warm ambiance and wood accents, this Midland Ontario eatery provides patrons with picturesque views as they dine. In addition to their extensive wine and beer selection, The Boathouse serves up refreshing cocktails that are perfect for enjoying on a sunny summer day.
This restaurant is a gem! The outdoor patio is full of good vibes—with beautiful views of the harbor, plenty of seating, and lots of umbrellas to keep things cool and shaded. The live music added the perfect touch to that laid-back summer atmosphere. The food was just as impressive. We had the braised brisket sandwich with fries and the chicken avocado sandwich with sweet potato fries—both were delicious and satisfying. Highly recommend if you're looking for great food, a scenic patio, and a fun, summery vibe!

We didn’t have reservations but were able to sit on their gorgeous patio. The patio is very large and accommodates a lot of people, small and large groups. On this day, they had a musician playing which was nice as it made the ambiance lively. Our food was really tasty! We tried their Margarita Pizza and Chicken Bacon Avocado Sandwich. We were able to watch the sunset from our table which was special. I would bet this restaurant has the best views in town… We would definitely return to try other things on their menu.

Absolutely incredible experience at The Boathouse Eatery in Georgian Bay. The food was amazing! The esquites were delicious, the brisket was melt-in-your-mouth perfection, and the peach salad was fresh, flavourful, and perfectly balanced. They also carry local beer, and the chocolate mousse and the crème brûlée are 10/10! The service truly made our visit special! Azael and David were both outstanding, warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome and pampered from start to finish. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for top-tier food, a great atmosphere, and unforgettable service. We'll definitely be back.

Great dinner experience yesterday. Patio was full so we sat inside. It was lovely service. Place is expensive. We paid $300 for 8 mains, no starters and no desserts. After 10 there was live country music on the patio which enhanced the dining experience.
Shelly S — Google review
Very busy but once we were seated the service was quick and excellent. All the food was tasty and they even made my drink half sweet on request. A nice summer meal for all.
Mark K — Google review
The servers, kitchen and all staff did an exceptional job on a very busy night! Service was timely and food came out quickly. Food was served promptly and hot. Phenomenal job by everyone that was working and able to pull off an extremely busy Wednesday night for the Snowbirds!
Carolyn H — Google review
I visited here for the first time with my girlfriend for lunch. We shared a seafood ceviche, and we each had the fish and chips. The ceviche we good, but I would've liked it if the cod was also mixed in with the other ingredients instead of sort of added after. The fish and chips we good overall. The chips were cooked and seasoned well. The batter on the fish was crispy and tasty, but I found the fish to be a bit thin and undercooked. I think they go with a hit-and-fast cooking method. The service was fast and friendly, and the view outside was lovely (even in the wind)!
Darwin V — Google review
Seated promptly inside as the patio was full with live music on a Thursday night. Acknowledged immediately and given coasters and asked for drink order before we even got to look at the menu. Then waited minimum 10 minutes before he came back for the order, even though inside wasn’t that busy and staff will milling around and chatting. Someone else dropped off the food. Had to remind that I didn’t get my glass of wine. No one asked for initial thoughts on the food. Plate finished and had to ask for bill as we were on a time limit. Got the fish and chips which were excellent but wouldn’t order the lamb appetizer again. Said 2 3 oz ribs but probably only 3 oz total. One rib looked to be half a rib. Lamb overcooked, well done and not even hot when served. A little bit of tzatziki sauce and a few olives with 6 mini naan breads. Not worth $25. Wasn’t our first trip, but our first inside and felt ignored. Will wait for an outside table next time as the service seemed better there.

Little Lake Park, the largest park in Midland, has been a central spot since before the town was named. The park features mature trees, gardens, and sitting areas, offering activities for everyone. It includes play structures, beach volleyball courts, a baseball diamond, disc golf course, skate park, rowing club, tennis courts, tobogganing hill and more.
This is a lovely park for a short walk! My girlfriend, her son, and I visited recently for the first time, and it was very enjoyable. There are two playgrounds for different ages/abilities, beautiful lake views by the beach, and lots of birds and small wildlife. We noticed a lot or lighting and are hoping it will make for a beautiful, snowy nighttime location for a stroll. We will be going back again soon.

Was passing by, December 26, 2024. Lots of snow on the ground, still a cool place to walk, the lake was frozen, we saw lots walking with their dogs and there's a hill where kids go toboganning.

Very big lake, although "little" in comparison to Lake Huron of course. Very active in the weekend with children, families and people playing light sports. Good for walking around. Has a diner. There's parking available but can be hard to find during busier times, there's more parking near the recreation center 2 minutes away.

Nice dog park. Not too busy but our dog found a new friend. Good size, nice grass surface but as you will see in the photos, it was covered in fresh snow. Came back later in summer and added more photos.

Great park to visit in Midland. Has a small beach and playground. Also there is a big covered picnic area which is good for big gatherings or reunions. It also has a skate park. Finally if your hungry ,there is a take out restaurant which offers hamburgers, fries and hot dogs.
William P — Google review
Beautiful park, lots of benches and tables, not too busy. It’s overrun with geese right now, so there is lots of poop currently on the beach, however I’m sure it’s much nicer in general.

Dry nice lake view park, a huge park and lake. Best place for walk, hike, picnic and gathering too. Lots of parking available and picnic tables. Kids play area also there. Lake is silent and calm. Rest area was open after COVID but swimming in the lake was not allowed due to Covid. Place is full of birds and few flower beds. On the whole nice park and lake.

The Home Depot is a well-known chain of home improvement stores offering a wide range of tools, appliances, and other products. Some locations even provide truck rentals for added convenience. The store's exceptional staff members are highly praised, with many customers commending individuals like Peter Mceachern, Alexandra, Jamie, Darrin, Dennis, Dave, John and Michelle for their outstanding service.
The staff here is so nice, helpful and knowledgeable. I really mean it. All three of things are a combination for success. My experience at this location has always been nice and the employees seem like they have an amazing working culture.

I bought a fridge from our Home Depot in Midland. The saleslady was awesome. However, the delivery guys damaged my front door while taking old fridge out and putting new one in. I complained to Stacey Dion, who asked ne to send her an email with damages, which I did, but never heard back from her not even an acknowledgement of receiving my email. Then I talked to Peter, the store manager, who knew about my complaint as he was listening the day when Stacey asked me to send her an email. Nevertheless, he didn't care to do anything. On my next visit, he took my contact number giving the impression that something would be done. He didn't bother get back to me, either. Obviously not satisfied with my experience but also not happy to be treated that way? Is it because I'm not originally from area? Did my accent bothered Peter and Stacey? Or maybe, they would consider a man talking to them rather than a woman? After all, it is not their front door that got damaged to care.

I have a cottage in the area and come here maybe a dozen times during the summer. Every time it is always a pleasure. They always have an abundance of staff on and all of them are so friendly and helpful. I am always greeted with a Warm smile and asked if I need any help with anything. Good old fashioned customer service. Very well managed store and great employees. Well done and thank you!

Went in this morning looking for a part. I stopped a big guy in a uniform (probably 6'6" if management cares to train him better). I asked if he knew where the part was. He pointed to a button he had on his vest that said "in training". Said I don't know. And walked away. Not, "I'm still training but let me find someone to help". Unfortunately the full time staff are no better. I was clearly looking for something up and down the aisles. I passed 4 staff and not one asked if they could help me find something.

I had a wonderful experience at the pro deck. I ordered 73 bundles of Rockwool insulation for delivery. Rylee was professional, friendly and efficient at her job. My delivery got changed to another date and she called me to keep me informed. Customer service is important when scheduling work at job site. In my business I meet a lot of people. Only a few stand out from the crowd. Rylee is one of them. She should be manager of that store. A true leader and Home Depot is lucky to have her

Last evening I went to Home Depot Midland to buy a few things. When I was in one of the aisles, a staff member asked me if I needed any help. When I explained that I had just run out of white clover seed and needed three more bags but couldn't find any, he went out of his way to bring them down from storage. Giuseppe was personable, professional and very helpful. Excellent staff like Giuseppe who go above and beyond is the reason I keep coming back to Home Depot Midland to shop.

Placed a fairly expensive order online for delivery to my home and had such a difficult time getting answers from the online customer service. It was a really frustrating and stressful month, with still no order and also no refund. I happened to be in store picking up something else and inquired if they could help at all with my online situation…. Expecting I would have to deal with calling into the online centre… but Stacy at Customer Service was so great! She resolved my online order issue and is always so knowledgeable on any order inquiries I have had. Thanks Stacy for going out of your way to help, I had been losing sleep about this missing order and the money I was out, much appreciated!

My family came here last week during the heat wave and we spent $190 + on a 3 in 1 fan. We didn't think to grab a cart, so my husband picked up the large box, carried it over to check out with our kids, and we paid at the very first cash register. I even know the woman's name whom we paid with, and she provided us with a reciept. I had my 6 month old baby in my arms and I noticed another worker stating at us and I just assumed she must be looking at the baby, so I smiled as we continued to walk towards the exit. This woman was staring down my husband, ran over to him and demanded to know if we paid. She did not ask for a reciept, instead she acted so frantic and flustered she yelled to the workers "who took them?!" To which the ones who obviously didn't check us out, said "not us" she then started grabbing at the box and saying "I just need to see something" to which now my husband is rightfully pissed off and we both tell her to go talk to the lady at checkout 1 and we walked out. Disgusting customer service, I placed a complaint minutes later to the manager but I truly don't feel any action was taken. This was infront of my children and we were made to be a spectacle. We decided we did not feel right supporting this company, she we returned the product the next morning and we are officially done supporting Home Depot. Not apology whatsoever for how this worker treated us, she simply just stormed away like a child. I truly hope the fact my husband is black is not the reason he was the only person in the store who was treated such a way.

The Walmart Supercentre is a large retail store that offers a wide range of products, including clothing, electronics, home goods, and groceries. It is located in a former mall space that used to house other stores like Kohl's and Filene's. The interior has been transformed into various sections such as Burlington, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Planet Fitness. Customers can also take advantage of convenient services like curbside pickup where friendly and helpful staff members like Colby provide excellent assistance.
Clean and well stocked. Had more pics but I avoid images with people's faces. very clean, well stocked and I found friendly staff.

Very disappointed with the staff and management at this location. Poor customer service skills and unwillingness to accomodate for customer's disabilities. I ordered groceries here every week, might have to reconsider. Other walmart locations are alright - great customer service and never a single issue. On the bright side, the staff that help load the pick up orders are usually a blessing to interact with.

For sure the cleanest most stocked organized Walmart I've been in. Nice to see a big box store care about it's customers. Management should be very proud of the staff they have at this location and how they seem to actually care about the customer.

My go to grocery store. Cheapest prices I've found. Usually a great selection. I get my groceries curbside pickup but will be stopping as i keep getting substitutions that don't measure up to what I purchased. Shop inside on your own to get what you pay for.

Shop here all the time the one greeter\cart guy is a real problem and people including myself have put in complaints about him nothing is done. Still rude to customers and makes people feel uncomfortable. The guy that talks about its going to snow Christmas is here?! Told my elderly mother to get out of the way if he wanted to help put a mattress box out of the cart for her. Very derogatory and demeaning!! Very Lazy doesn't want to help customers. Made my mom and the cashier uncomfortable being rude. Asked me for a tip once. Also was rude loading a BBQ for me. Goes on and on bad experiences everytime anyone encounters this creep. Do better theres people who want that job and can do much better! Give this location alone, a lot of business!

Just got the True Value ground coffee in the new 907gram pack. The coffee is the normal great tasting brew but the package requires a safe cracker to open it. This is the absolute worst packaging ever. Once we got it open we had to transfer it to an old can that has a top that actually closes. Hope that they go back to the tried and true packaging soon.

Had the rudest interaction with a staff member at the photo counter while paying. Left me speechless. As if it wasn’t real. This young man should not work in front of people. Period. Put him in the back or get rid of him.

Nestled in the picturesque town of Midland, Martyrs' Shrine has been a beacon of faith and history since its establishment in 1926. This stunning Roman Catholic church is dedicated to the Canadian Martyrs, commemorating their profound impact on the nation over four centuries. Visitors flock here annually for pilgrimage, drawn by its breathtaking hilltop views and serene atmosphere. The shrine features beautiful stained glass windows that come alive with candlelight during special events like First Light.
Our family had the blessed opportunity to visit the Martyrs’ Shrine Church, and it was truly a peaceful and spiritual experience. From the moment we entered the grounds, we felt a sense of calm and holiness. The church itself holds deep history — dedicated to the Canadian Martyrs (Jesuit missionaries) who gave their lives spreading the faith. Being in a place with such strong spiritual heritage was humbling, and learning about the relics and their significance made the visit even more meaningful. We were fortunate to attend the Holy Mass during our visit, and afterwards, we received blessings with the relics. Standing there, in the presence of such sacred treasures, felt like being embraced by the grace of God. Spending time in prayer at the feet of Mother Mary was another beautiful highlight. It was a reminder that in her care, we are always safe and loved. it was a heart-touching experience for our whole family — peaceful, faith-strengthening, and unforgettable. We left with renewed hope, joy, and a deeper closeness to God. 🙏
Shiji G — Google review
We had just gone up to visit and see the church and the overall shrine together as a family. It was recommended to us by another family member who had gone. There was a pilgrimage and they were celebrating the Virgin of Guadalupe. The space itself was magnificent. Big open fields and lots to do. We didn’t realize we could have a picnic there. We were able to bring our dog along (keep in mind, pets are not allowed inside the actual church) to walk around the overall shrine. There was lots of parking space and accessible bathrooms. The only complaint I guess I had was that entry fee was $10 per person. I know that’s not a lot but especially with a big family it got pretty costly. Otherwise beautiful place.
Tamika B — Google review
This is such a beautiful and peaceful place. The church is located on the highest hill in the area and is beautiful inside and out. Relics of the martyrs are inside and can be viewed. The grounds are well kept with several shrines and an area called "Brebeuf's Prayer Garden". What impressed me most was the canes and crutches on the walls of the shrine left by people who claim to have been healed here.
Dan T — Google review
Martyrs’ Shrine is a truly special place. The church and grounds are peaceful, beautiful, and full of history. It’s a meaningful site where you can reflect, pray, or simply enjoy the serene atmosphere. The architecture is inspiring, and the staff and volunteers are welcoming and kind. Whether you visit for spiritual reasons or to learn more about the Canadian Martyrs, this shrine leaves a lasting impression. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Midland area.
Martin J — Google review
Beautiful place of worship. Many friends and family have indicated their prayers have been answered when praying here. I am not of Christian faith however after visiting here for the first time I can definitely feel the energy. They have a casing of Father Brebeauf's skull which is also very unique.
Niro T — Google review
Remarkably stunning and memorable, the Martyrs Catholic Church Shrine is a testament to the history and religious faith of the Canadian Martyrs. Will leave you astounded at the two reliquaries where preserved bones of the Martyrs lie and surrounding canes, crutches & others ex- votos adorn the area as witness to the healing and graces received. Beautiful and expansive grounds with parking available. On site is visitor information chalet, restaurant with optional outdoor patio and gift shop with religious relics, gorgeous rosaries, holy water and books. Suitable for young children however, access to the shrine is via stairs only and somewhat steep/ lengthy. Admission also includes “Sainte -Marie among the Hurons”, Ontario’s first European community & headquarters for the French Jesuit Mission to the Huron-Wendat people. Amenities on site. Enjoy the walk to the Sainte-Marie among the Huron through the guide footpath or by car ( across the street) with onsite parking. Enjoy a full day of history, gardens, food & exploration of both ensuring lasting memories!

We just happened to find this shrine to attend a holy mass during our short trip to attend a wedding of my cousin who lives in Canada. The shrine had disability Access. Ambiance was very peaceful and calming. Everybody at the premises was kind . I was able to do confession and attend the evening mass. After visiting this place I gained a lot of confidence in doing my PT therapy . I’m blessed and happy almighty God gave me a chance visit here even being on a wheelchair. I saw a lot of crutches there . People who couldn’t walk might have promised to offer after they got healed . I believe one day I will out of my wheelchair and walking without any walker or be dependent on wheelchair . Amen 🙏

McDonald's is a timeless, well-established fast-food franchise recognized for its tasty burgers, crispy fries, and creamy shakes. The employees are exceptionally amiable and provide top-notch service, making customers feel like valued individuals. Whether it's at their Wal-Mart branch or any other location, McDonald's is often the go-to option for families of four seeking an affordable and expedient dining experience.
We had breakfast there today! I honestly have to say with only two workers my service was quick but the hash brown because they were making them fresh. They were nice and hot thank you! Cathy was apologizing for the wait, but she can’t make the deep fryer faster. Thank you for your hard work! Have a good day!!!

This is one fast food Restaurant I'm sorry I can not give a good review about, it's never been a good experience either your waiting forever even after you've orderd the order is usually just a coffee. Or your order is wrong. The quality and prices are ridiculous at one time the food and the atmosphere was pretty decent now it's made to be some high end Restaurant with a horrible costly menu and patties you could cut your lip on they are so thin. Bring back the McDonald's that it use to be. When the atmosphere was geared for kids.

Cheap people running the place. The extra large tea is supposed to have 2 tea bag. They only put one. Coffee is very weak, don’t recommend. The food is good tho, but take forever

Ordered a cold drink on a weekday evening. One lady was working at the cash register but it wasn't that busy. My drink was ready for a good TEN minutes before she brought it over to me. When asked about the status, she said she had to go by order. Which made sense except a few people ordered after me already got their food while my prepared cold drink was sitting there and melting. She seemed very unhappy about my question for status. As a result, the cold drink was no longer cold and didn't even taste good.
Em — Google review
It's hard rating these situations, but when you see a "crew trainer" (Owen) wearing jeans behind the counter, then a piece of chicken is stuck in the cooking tray so he takes it out with his hands and puts it in the food tray. Then goes over and salts fries, and immediately after that goes and puts someone's order through on the POS. All the while not washing his hands or having proper hygiene in a multi-billion dollar company that strives to have great service. That's my piece.
Joseph B — Google review
Walked in waited did not get served as the employees were chatting, then an older woman walks up to counter, immediately gets served then after the colleague was done with her they walked away. Not impressed at all

Bad experience at this location. I had a young man tall was not friendly at all. Will not be returning any time soon. Would it kill you to smile?
Lindsay — Google review
I would give zero stars if I could. First off, their kiosks NEVER have recipt paper, so you don't know what your order number is, nor can you prove that you ordered it at all. They are slower than molasses, even when not busy. They give you the wrong items in place of things you ordered because it's not in stock, but they don't even tell you about the substitute - you find out completely by surprise. Honestly, considering the price of the crap they sell, I am amazed that McDonald's is even still in business. Moreover, how is THIS McDonald's still in business with horrible service, sub-par cleanliness and a crew that has zero care about the product they are serving or the guests that they serve. Never ordering from here, ever again.

Food is fantastic with perfect portions for the money. Restaurant is pretty dusty (be careful if you have dust allergies). Waitress didn’t offer a coffee top up until the end of the meal. Extra Napkins must be asked for which is always a minus. All in all, terrific food.

Stumbled into Stacked @ Midland after visiting the beach. Having tried it at different locations already, the kids knew exactly the pancakes they wanted to get. Staff was friendly and helpful at this location, and the food came very quickly even on the weekend. First time trying the pulled pork with eggs Benedict and highly recommend this.

Enjoyable breakfast, pecan pumpkin spices waffles and a deluxe Western omelet, both were tasty. Coffee as usual, like in most breakfast places is weak but passable. Love the fact the real maple syrup was given at no extra charge for the waffles.

This is our go-to breakfast spot. Food is delicious, always get the meat omlette (no sausage) with mexican style homefries (covered in jalapenos & onions) + tried the clubhouse sandwich and its so damn good!

Absolutely amazing. I was pleased to have discovered Stacked today while stopping through Midland. With great staff, a nice atmosphere and top notch food, this has now become a must do staple whenever I am in town. I was blown away by the flavours of the cowboy hash (I ordered it with hollandaise on the side and poached eggs). The mix of flavours complimented itself perfectly not to mention the serving sizes! We also ordered the NY strip loin Benedict. This has a delicious peppery flavour and was cooked to perfection. Finally we could not leave without trying the waffles. We ordered the strawberry Nutella waffles with sweet cream and oh my God it was delightful!!!!! I ended up ordering a second order of both the hash and the waffles to bring home hahhaha!!!!!!

I was a little disappointed when I visited this location, because I usually enjoy Stacked & their endless menu! But this was not a great experience unfortunately. Our waitress was lovely, but we waited a while to be seated, to be seen, to get our food & then especially long to get our bill. It was quite busy, so understandable of course. But what was upsetting was our food came out, pretty cold, like our plates have been sitting for a while, and didn’t make it to us. The hash browns were not cooked through at all, and the eggs (scrambled) were dry.. The French toast was delicious (as expected!!) but we won’t be revisiting this location as the cost certainly did not match the experience

I'd love to be able to review the food, but we never had the opportunity to try it. Visiting Midland for the day, we (60-something couple) were looking for a nice lunch spot and I had been wanting to try Stacked. We were seated promptly, given a menu, and then waited. And waited. And waited some more. We couldn't get anyone's attention and were never offered even a glass of water, much less an opportunity to order from the menu. We were one of five tables of (would-be) diners at the time. After about 20 minutes we gave up and went elsewhere, where we had a very nice, but late, lunch.

Subway is a casual counter-serve chain that allows customers to customize their sandwiches and salads. The establishment offers health-conscious options for those looking for nutritious choices. This particular Subway consistently maintains high standards, ensuring that their items always look appealing and taste fresh. Although there may be occasional difficulties in communicating with the staff, it is not a significant drawback. The restaurant also caters to large gatherings, providing platters of cookies and subs that are exceptionally fresh and well-prepared.
Staff here are phenomenal. Very friendly and efficient. The place is always kept clean and care is put into making sure everything is fresh!

I ordered online to pick up in store as I was unable to use the app coupon in store. They used the wrong bun on one order and on my sub (chicken teriyaki) and there was almost no chicken on it. (See pictures) Not to mention that 8I couldnt eat half my sub as it was rock hard. Yes I had it toasted but in all my years I have never had it so hard to the point I couldnt bite into it. Very disappointed in the value of the sub considering how much I paid for them. I wont be supporting this business again!!! Do better subway!
Andi S — Google review
I've been eating at subway all my life and have never had a bad experience. Just tonight I went to this Subway and waited about ten minutes to place an order. The one guy in front of me ordered a steak and bacon sub. The Indian girl at the counter barely spoke any English and the guy had to repeat his order 5 times. Made his food and forgot the bacon. Put the bacon on and didn't pre cook it first. The guy asked her how much the cookies were and she had no clue. Then another girl comes out from the back without washing her hands first and starts swapping out vegetables with her bare hands. I ordered a Sub and a rice bowl with Avacado. The one girl made the entire rice bowl and forgot the avocado. She then goes in the back and comes out with a single scoop of avocado and puts it in my bowl. I asked where that came from and she just smiled. She made up my entire rice bowl first and let it sit at the cash register without a lid on it and started to make my sandwich, at this time there were about 5 people waiting behind me and a fly sitting in my rice bowl. Once my sub had been carelessly made I was asked if I wanted it warmed I said sure. The sub was then wrapped in wax paper and put under the grill. She opens the grill and the paper is all burnt. Then she quickly pulls the wrap off the grill with her hands and throws it like a hot potato on the counter and wraps it up again. I was speechless so I just paid and left. I will never go back. What a joke.

Pizza delivery
Dominos is a popular pizza delivery and takeout chain that offers a wide selection of pizzas, as well as various other dishes and sides. It is known for its consistently well-prepared food, competitive prices, and convenient central location, making it a staple in the community. The owners of this Dominos location are highly regarded for their exceptional commitment to the community and customer service. If you're looking for a decent pizza at an affordable price, I highly recommend giving this Dominos location a try.
So, my girlfriend ordered a medium pizza and 2 things of this cheeses garlic bread thing online. I went in to pick up the order and one of the employees told me he cut the pizza wrong and was making me a new one. (I guess my girlfriend wanted it cut in squares for the kids) but he cut it normally. I told him it was a big deal at all but he insisted he’ll make another pizza and cut it in squares but it’ll take an extra 8 minutes. I told him it was totally fine and went to wait in my car. He came out with both medium pizzas and the 2 garlic breads and said he’s giving me both pizzas for the wait and added 2 extra garlic dipping sauces. I was blown away at how nice this guy is! I shook his hand and thanked him for the incredible costumer service. I didn’t catch his name, which sucks but he was wearing glasses. Either way, he is the nicest man I’ve ever met and I wanted to write this review to show my appreciation! The food was amazing too! 10/10 on the food 100000/10 on the costumer service!!

Third time in a row ordering and very cheap with quality snd quantity of toppings. To pay extra for philly steak and get barely any and heavy mushrooms instead. To also pay for extra alfredo and get dry noodles isn't acceptable. I also added a drink to my order after and they forgot it. Which took transferring me between two different people when I called because the first guy didn't understand what I was saying. Apparently neither did the woman he transferred me to, even though she told me it would be "$2.88" at the door for pop. Unfortunately the only pizza place that delivers to trailr park. But NEVER AGAIN.

Sainte-Marie Among the Hurons, located on the Wye River near Midland, was a French Jesuit settlement from 1639 to 1649 and served as the headquarters for the French Jesuit Mission to the Huron Wendat people. It was Ontario's first European community and housed the province's first hospital, schools, and farms. Today, it is a living museum that offers a glimpse into 17th-century mission life.
Fantastic experience!! Highly recommend watching the intro film before explore, it is ingenious! You’ll feel like you’re going through a portal in time into the village. So, much to explore and learn between the village and the museum. Kids and adults both have lots to engage. Will definitely be coming back yearly. Thank you for a memorable and beautiful experience.

2nd time visiting. My children and I came the first time. Great historic living museum. 20 yrs ago I was most impressed by the blacksmith and bellows. This display still remains impressive w Adrian. Incredible that the mission lasted only 10 years yet they created all these buildings for the Jesuits, the donnés, soldiers and Wendats. Definitely worth the entry fee. Brings 1640 Canada to life. These early Canadians believed in Canada, Christianity and its people enough to give up their lives for their beliefs. It was an enjoyable and instructional 3 hrs going thru the movie that sets the context and experiencing the structures. We'll worthwhile.

My daughter and I came and experienced a beautiful few hours here. It was great to walk around and see and hear perspective shared. My children are Indigenous and it was interesting hearing and visualizing how things were at that time through the European perspective. And also to see how indigenous and European peoples lived and stayed. I personally hadn’t been here since my own grade 5 field trip 30 years ago. :) a bit of nostalgia

Located near Midland, Ontario, Sainte-Marie among the Hurons is a fascinating step back to the 17th century, showcasing Canada’s early history. Originally built in 1639 as Ontario’s first European settlement, this reconstructed village was the French Jesuit mission to the Huron-Wendat people. It blends immersive reenactments, authentic settings, and rich history, perfect for anyone passionate about history tourism. The experience starts with ample free parking and a warm reception. Clean, well-maintained washrooms add to the comfort. A 15-minute documentary introduces the settlement’s founding, its cultural role, and its burning in 1649, with the site faithfully rebuilt in the 1960s as a living museum. The self-guided tour, aided by a clear handout and numbered exhibits, is a highlight. Explore longhouses, a church, workshops, and barracks, with wooden huts featuring cots, hearths, and period tools that vividly recreate 17th-century life. Costumed interpreters share engaging insights into daily practices like farming and fire-starting. The Sainte-Marie Museum, with over 750 artifacts, dives deeper into the fur trade and cultural exchange. At $15 per adult (prices may vary; tickets available onsite) This immersive village is a must-visit for history lovers, offering a deep look into early settlers

A must see! Fascinating and interactive, this mission site is steeped with relics and “true to life” village/community of the French Jesuits mission with the Huron-Wendat people in 1639. Admission price included with the Martyrs Shrine & definitely plan to visit both! Don’t miss the complimentary 15 minute film and be amazed at the end! The kids will be awed and delighted by the surprise as I was. On site parking, amenities & gift shop. Recommend comfortable and weather appropriate attire as entire village outdoors:) Plan to watch the historical demonstrations of fire starting & indigenous games at noted times. Really enjoyable, informative and entertaining!

We had a wonderful at the marsh. Staff were friendly and helpful. We walked the trails which were well maintained and beautiful. At the marsh we saw turtles, frogs and lots of birds (3 lifers!). After walking, we took the canoe tour which takes about 20-30 min. it was fun to enjoy the waters in a different perspective. The highlight for me was watching some Sandhill Cranes flying above the marsh - magical! We loved it here, definitely a must see for nature and bird lovers.

We had a fantastic time visiting Wye Marsh with our toddler. It was the perfect mix of nature, wildlife, and space to explore. Our little one loved spotting turtles, frogs, and a wide variety of birds along the trails. We even got lucky and saw some migratory cranes flying overhead, such a special moment. The marsh is peaceful and well maintained, with easy paths. It’s a great spot to slow down, breathe in the fresh air, and connect as a family. Highly recommended for anyone with young kids looking for an accessible nature experience.

We went to see the show at MacMillan’s and truly enjoyed the music and the band — very talented performers and a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, during intermission, we returned to our seats only to find that a group of older attendees (around 70 years old) had taken them. Since our tickets had no assigned seating, it created confusion. We waited politely, hoping they would move or that other seats would be available, but none were. With no staff and no lighting to help, we were left with the choice to either confront them or leave. Sadly, we chose to leave. It’s disappointing that something as simple as seating etiquette disrupted an otherwise enjoyable evening. Maybe next time, clearer guidance or ushers could help avoid this kind of situation.

First live show I’ve attended at MCC. Forever Seger is a great band and their musicianship is top notch! Extremely high energy performance! I chose to see/hear this group based on Forever Seger’s online demos, which were a mix of live and studio productions. Unfortunately, the mix for this concert, in my opinion, was poor. Drums and bass severely overpowered the rest of the band. I don’t know why a drum shield was not used, nor why the bass could not be balanced with the rest of the band. The solo vocals and backup harmonies were completely negated throughout the evening, to the point where I could rarely make out the lyrics. I’m assuming that it was the MCC’s in house sound techs that were responsible. Hard to imagine, based on the YouTube videos, that the band’s personnel did the mix. I wish I could have broken my rating down in to categories. The 3 star rating in no way reflects the quality of the band. They we’re fabulous and I’d like to see them again, but in a different venue to compare the sound.

Grounded Coffee Company is a well-regarded coffee roaster located in Midland, Ontario. This establishment is known for its delectable pastries and exceptional coffee. The bakery offers a variety of local desserts, including vegan cinnamon rolls and maple-filled cookies that showcase true Canadian flavors. Customers can pair their treats with a cup of coffee or purchase some beans to savor at home. The market where Grounded Coffee Company operates is situated in the parking lot behind Subway and across from the café itself.

This coffee shop is a long-standing member of the Midland coffee scene. It's previous location had a different, more intimate vibe, but the expansion with the new location certainly has allowed more seating and the incorporation of the roasting right in the building. I usually like a darker roast of coffee than Grounded produces, however, the espresso based drinks are on the whole wonderfully crafted. Seating is often busy and especially at peak times in the mornings, it can be difficult to find seating. There is a small addition of an outside patio, which has a great summer vibe! Last time I was in we both ordered Cortados and they were strong, hot, and beautifully executed. Grounded is certainly committed to a grassroots, organic and locally produced menu. Many of the food and bakery items for sale are locally produced. This business obviously strives to be a responsible member of the local community. This definitely is a must stop if you're in Midland for a coffee!

I come to midlan every year and i think this is going to be my new stop everytime im in the area I ordered an iced coffee bombon which is a take in a Spanish latte using condensed milk and it was nice and strong but didn’t have a lingering aftertaste which is a good sign of a good roast Also wanted a treat so i added on one of the scones which the girl at the counter recommended since they usually sell out early. And it was awesome. Sweet but not overly sweet and hit the spot. Service was on point. The girl recommended the scone and it was a perfect reco. She was very friendly and made the experience that much better. They also have some indoor seating and outdoor seating available so there is enough spots of people dining in. Parking can be hit or miss. They have many people that park in front when there’s space, but enough street parking is available in and around the surrounding area Great job overall!

A coffee shop that nails a simple drip coffee knows what it’s doing, and this place delivers. I had a smooth cup and it was exactly what I needed to wake up and get going. The interior has a rustic feel with plenty of seating, fresh-baked goods, and pantry items for sale, including their own bagged beans (which I grabbed to take home). A steady stream of people came through while I was there which says a lot. This spot will definitely satisfy the coffee aficionados. Worth a stop if you’re in the area.

We have been patrons of King’s Wharf Theatre before and always enjoyed our visits, but today was disappointing. We took a walk down to the theatre to take in the sights and asked the shuttle driver if she could take us back to our vehicle. She asked if we were seeing a show, and when we said no, she responded that she couldn’t because of insurance. While we completely understand if there are rules in place, it was the way she said it that came across as very rude and dismissive. The driver was a young woman with long blonde hair with pink in it. It really left a poor impression, which is unfortunate because we’ve always had positive experiences in the past

Pub
Restaurant
The recent change in ownership at Cellarmans pub has brought about a pleasant surprise for customers. The business now boasts an exceptional staff and the quality of their fish & chips is truly impressive. After being away for more than a decade, it's clear that the welcoming atmosphere remains as strong as ever. While tonight's menu may have been slightly limited, there is confidence that the new owners will soon bring it back to its former glory.
I’d give this place a 5/5, not based on it being the ‘best place ever’, but rather ‘hitting the mark’ exactly, given what we were looking for and walked in expecting. Definitely not a fancy experience but if you’re looking for a solid pub lunch in an ‘eclectic’ looking place then look no further! I’m British originally and my wife lived there for 10 years before we moved back here. This is exactly what you’d expect of a small pub, tucked away in a small-ish town in terms of ambiance and decor. That said, the service is definitely 100% Canadian - our server (also the only bar tender) was amazing and couldn’t do more to help us, including our 3.5 and 1 y/o girls. There are no kids meals on the menu but she suggested a perfectly sized appetizer and brought us a plate of veggies to snack on while the food was being prepared, as well as giving us crayons and a colouring book as soon as we sat down. We’d just been for a brisk autumn walk along the Tay Shore trail and the hearty ‘pub grub’ we ordered hit the mark perfectly. Hand made burgers were just that. Guinness was spot on. We’d definitely come back again

First time returning after the new ownership/renovations. Its not bad. But its not good. Food was ok. Nothing spectacular, so a bit pricey for what you get. But a decent serving size is good. The look and feel is very different from before the renovations. Looks nice. Is sleek. But has lost the charm it had before. Service was ok. Need to pay a bit more attention to customers, especially if it is not busy. Staff were friendly tho. NO GUINNESS ON TAP!!! So sad... Happy we tried it out. But unfortunately wont be returning. Wouldnt recommend.

$17.95+ tax for 7 pieces of calamari on our plate. OVERPRICED. I felt insulted as a costumer to be paying that much & served that little. When I asked the waitress if that was it she said "yep" with laugh. Would have made sense if this was a fine dining restaurant but it’s not. I’ve been to pubs in different places and not once was I served like that. Went here with family & colleagues before, but today I went with my friend that’ll be the last.

Cozy pub stationed at the back lane. Very friendly server good fish & chips but fish sandwich salad wasn’t fresh calamari was so so. We love the chicken wings though.

My boyfriend and I dined out at Cellermans Ale House pub for lunch. Our waitress was very friendly and comedic, was great. I ordered the spinach goat cheese salad. The texture of this salad was simply divine. The flavours went together very well. Their menu is full of Irish classics. Very hearty meals however if your looking for something light I highly recommend their specialty salads. For the value, they are by far the best in town. I love the atmosphere for Cellermans Ale house, its very quaint but cute and has a homely vibe feeling. The only downfall is that the bathrooms are located upstairs. And the bathrooms are quite small.

Cellarmans! What happened ? Normally receive great chicken wings from you but decided to order something else instead. Big mistake. Husband ordered fish and chips..Ok fish pretty good and chips but coleslaw was advertised with this meal. We are still laughing so hard at the portion. A mere tablespoon or could it fill the spoon? You are kidding , right? The house curry? worst I ever tasted...what is the bitterness added to the curry? I can still taste it in my mouth after eating and diced up chicken in it like soup, omg.Not good. Normally I don't do bad reviews but I felt strongly in this case. Not impressed.

This charming spot offers an impressive array of vegan dishes that are not only fresh and flavorful but also thoughtfully crafted to cater to various dietary needs. The welcoming staff enhances the cozy atmosphere, making it a perfect place to unwind. While it may be slightly pricier, the quality of food and service makes every penny worthwhile.
Our first full.vegan meal. Delicious 😋. The portions are on the more generous side. Smoothies are so awesome tasting! You have to have one. A must-try restaurant that is locally owned by a wonderful person. We will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu.

Went with 3 friends for the first time and we all ordered different things to try... every meal was 10/10! Amazing delicious food, with friendly staff and beautiful local art. I had the black bean burger with sweet potatoe waffle fries, a mango lemonade and a big bowl of tomato basil soup of the day! It was all so delicious.

Absolutely loved this place! The vegan food was excellent—fresh, flavourful, and thoughtfully prepared. The staff were incredibly sweet and welcoming, adding to the warm, inviting atmosphere. There’s a wide variety of options on the menu, which makes it easy to find something for everyone. It is a little on the pricier side, but totally worth it for the quality and experience. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cozy spot with great vibes and delicious plant-based meals.

I came to this place today Sept 17 morning and have the Best experience with the Staff and very impressive Manager Who delivered the food to my table (one of the lady told me her name is Alma) hope I spell her name right. Very Delicious Vegan I ever have. Beautiful Atmosphere right at the BAY of Midland. Will come back and Thank You to all Amazing staff here

Wonderful restaurant! The service is absolutely top notch, and everyone is so friendly. The food is delicious, but the drinks are unbelievable. Best cocktails I've had in a super long time - the drinks are made of real ingredients, for example the strawberry daiquiri has real strawberries; not a syrup. The drinks are also very beautifully presented. The Margarita menu looks so interesting and I can't wait to go back and try them all.

I visited for lunch this past Saturday during the butter tart festival. The place was nice and inviting. The lunch was okay overall. The sweet potato waffle fries were awesome and I highly recommend however the chicken wrap was quite disappointing. There was not enough chicken in the wrap and it was quite salty. I was also charged extra for a gluten wrap and I was not told before the extra charge was added. I don’t recall seeing extra charges for anything for dietary needs. The atmosphere was nice, with local artwork decorating the place.

Absolutely amazing menu and vibes. Crazy inclusive menu for a lot of dietary restriction. Super friendly staff. Had the black bean burger and pickle chips, both were stellar and the burger has to be the best and most unique tasting burger I’ve ever had. I’d choose it over a meat based burger any day. If you are looking for a cheap good and fast place for lunch or dinner. This is an amazing place to try. Desserts are also amazing.

Delicious and fresh. Dog friendly patio. Also I love a vegan resturant that isn’t closed on Mondays (thank you!!!!!), made our stay in Midland way better, ate here twice! Family restaurant
Nestled near the Midlands Cultural Centre, Mom's Restaurant is a delightful homestyle diner that has been serving up comfort food for over 25 years. This charming eatery, founded by the Corson family, offers a warm ambiance with wood accents and a cozy fireplace, making it an ideal spot for weekend brunches.
I've been to Mom's restaurant twice now, and I only have positive things to say. Not only is the place cleaned meticulously — a sight which I witnessed as my party were the last people there one evening — but it's also a beautiful, warm and comforting atmosphere, aided by 20+ years of service and delightful staff. On our evening visit we were served by Elsa, and on our brunch visit we were served by James. Both of them were very attentive, kind and watch out for their tables diligently. As well, James gave me a chuckle when he practically pulled tea bags out of thin air for my morning cup. All in all, absolutely superb staff who really make you feel welcome and appreciated. For dinner, I had their "AAA" Prime Rib. In fact, three out of four at my table had this dish, and all of them were done to perfection. They were perfectly cooked to our requests and preferences, while still being juicy, tender, and magnificently flavourful. Paired with their Yorkshire Pudding which is very light and fluffy, their au jus, mashed potatoes and vegetables, it made for a delicious experience. As for breakfast, I had their Greek Omelette. The omelette was a good blend of vegetables and had a nice sprinkling of feta which wasn't overly salty — a quality which I appreciate — but the most wonderfully surprising thing was how good their home fries are! I've gone to many restaurants and had many potatoes, but Mom's has delectably seasoned fries that pair perfectly with their milder omelette. The meal balances quite nicely. Definitely a gem, I would absolutely go there again and again. Their restaurant's longevity is a testament to how many agree with me on this as well.

Food was tasty and fresh, service was great, and everything felt very clean; which is personally important to me when at a restaurant. Tables are also pre-set with cutlery, coffee cups, milk/cream, sugar, peanutbutter, jam, etc.. so you don’t have to keep bothering your server if you need anything. Super convenient! Everyone is very friendly, and the owner even came over and checked in how everything was. We came here twice on the weekend while we were visiting the area. Highly recommend!

Very great restaurant in Midland that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The portions are greatly sized and the food is delicious. Breakfast has great options, but they don't have real maple syrup. Dinner is also very good, and the food comes quite quickly. Overall, a great restaurant to visit if you're in town.
Julian K — Google review
We stopped here for lunch and ordered mom's hot burgers, burger plater, and fettuccine alfredo pasta. Foods are so bland, specially mom's hot burgers totally disappointed. It's just the burger with two slices of bread and gravy and nothing special. Same goes with pasta and other burger as well. 45 minutes wait time for foods which was not acceptable. The place is not even busy.. Not worth of hype that's my opinion.
Dhei S — Google review
Disgusting shoe leather served disguised as pork schnitzel. I returned it and they tried to charge me for the side salad that came with the meal! The side salad that literally had 3 pieces of lettuce because they were too lazy to make more salad so the server took 1 salad and divided it into 3! Honestly it tasted like vomit! The only reason they are still in operation is because of a few signature dishes ie prime rib. Wow and Wow!
Lisa L — Google review
Mom’s lives up to its name. It feels like stepping into your mom’s house in the early ’90s for dinner. I ordered the prime rib dinner, which is one of their specialties. It was hearty and satisfying, though nothing particularly exceptional. The service was friendly and efficient.
Patrick — Google review
This is a nice place, but I wish the quality of the meal is better. The full-rack ribs and the fish-and-chips we ordered leaves much to be desired. The soup was okay; the burger was good. But for an establishment with 4.5-star on Google map, I would have expected much better food quality; unfortunately, it falls short by a long shot.

Update #2: Was invited to breakfast (see pics). Once again fantastic service. James took great care of us. They attention to care and detail makes this place a true #1 place to go. Thank you James for the unbelievable service and care to make the experience even better. Update: Back again with friends and have to say 2nd time in 5 days and they truly impress. Our server today was Elsa and she also took fantastic care of us. Look at the added photos and you'll see why. A classic diner feel from the 50's. A HUGE menu selection to choose from, so don't come to hungry 😜 The Prime Rib dinner is a hit. The horseradish is sure to hit your sinus 🤣. If you are looking to find a place that is a change from the norm, you've found the right place. Ask for Sabrina as the meal will blow mind.

Fast food restaurant
Visited World Famous Dock Lunch for breakfast and tried their WFDL sandwich on a kaiser. The food had a fast food vibe but was healthier. Menulist is an acclaimed platform for restaurants, offering comprehensive menus with images, prices, reviews, and more! This place is a must-visit if you're a boater or visiting Penetanguishene's harbour. My spouse and I relished their foot-long hot dog served on freshly baked buns.
Stumbled upon this great spot. Friendly staff, quick service, and food was ready within 5 minutes. I hear this place is crazy busy, but I might have got lucky doing at 4 pm on a weekday because I was the only one there. I ordered the one-piece fish and chips ($15) with a manitoulin craft beer ($10), which was great! Self-serve gravy made this a 5 star for sure! Other condiments like jalapeños, onions, sauces, etc. were also self-serve in a refrigerated table. Ate outside on a picnic table over looking all the boats. Great spot!

The food is not great at all. Have tried a few different things on the menu and was not impressed, but last one was the worse! The gyro looked like plastic strips and did not taste or look like a gyro at all. If it wasn't for the salad and fries, I would have been starving. The service was good and friendly and the restaurant has good atmosphere but was empty every time I go. Please do something to improve the quality of food! I have added another picture to let you know what a gyro should look like.

Not happy with the village salad. Very little feta cheese. 20 bucks for one small skewer of chicken and a little bit of village salad. I thought this place used to be reasonable.

Overall nostalgic from when I was a kid. We were in the area and I wanted to take my spouse there as I spend many summers in Midland area growing up. We got fish & “chips” and an ice cream after. The fish is actually really good!! I would order just fish next time (I don’t love fish generally) but I would get this again. The chips were super disappointing. They were essentially undercooked McDonalds fries and they barely give you any, for 24$. The garlic bread was good but would eliminate that for real Chips (thick cut fries). Not enough tartar sauce either. 1 small container to split between 2 pieces of fish. The coleslaw was delicious as well as the pickle! They had lots of seating you could sit inside or outside. They even had a dog patio, which was really nice. Tables were clean and some were in the shade some in the sun. The ice cream was ok, had some freezer burn to it / ice chunks. I got 2 flavours and the top scoop of the second flavour was about a tablespoon big. Overall I will go back to this place for just the fish and pickles. Also they did have local food inside like butter tarts which I like seeing that! I will have to go back and try them next time!! They looked delicious!! Beautiful scenery around the dock with small boats and the cruise boat.

In one word DISAPPOINTING ! Way too expensive for the quality. No condiments available in the dining areas so you have to carry your meal back to the order area. After ordering and receiving meal we have to walk through the parking lot to get to the dining area. The double arch restaurant is way better.
Lawrence Z — Google review
We ordered their “famous” one-scoop ice cream in a waffle cone and were really disappointed by how small it was. The same Kawartha Dairy ice cream elsewhere is served in a much more generous portion. Very disappointing experience.
Gulmira M — Google review
My husband and I have visited Dock Lunch countless times. The food is exceptional and the atmosphere is welcoming. The staff are always friendly and the service is very quick. We love the choice of sitting inside or using the covered patio outside, especially with our toddler. We recommend the Grilled Salmon Bowl, Souvlaki or the poutine.

Step back in time and immerse yourself in the 19th-century British naval and military base known as Discovery Harbour, located in historic Penetanguishene. Originally built to safeguard the area after the War of 1812, this harbor served as a crucial storage location for British ships destined for northern ports. Visitors can explore replica tall ships, view a 200-year-old shipwreck, and wander through period buildings. The site is home to notable vessels like the replica H.M.
I arrived before the doors opened at 10am, so when they did, I had the place pretty much to myself. Staff are peppered around the grounds in costume. Almost every area has knowledgeable workers enthusiastic about sharing the history of their assigned location. Although there are trees, make sure to out in sun screen in the summer because there are a lot of open areas too where you need to stop and read and talk to the workers. To improve, they could display the opening hours right at the gate. Parking is available on site and free.

We stumbled upon this place but total accident by using google. We were visiting my family who live in Thorold. As a serving member of the Royal Navy, this was amazing. However we were not offered a military discount, only Canadian Forces, which was the only let down. Other than, lovely few hours of history!

Thought it just had two war of 1812 era ship replicas but was happily surprised to find they had buildings to explore and an excavated ship wreck housed in a museum. The very small extra fee for a guided tour was well worth it. Very affordable and very informative. Our guide had a great sense of humour and encouraged questions. Looking forward to returning.
Ang E — Google review
The museum itself is generally well-curated and has great potential. However, I’m giving 1 star because of a very disappointing and disrespectful interaction with one of the staff members, which left a negative impression on our visit. At the first ship we visited, the young woman overseeing the exhibit was openly rude and dismissive. When I asked her a simple question about the ship’s route, she immediately frowned, avoided eye contact, and acted as if I had inconvenienced her. Her tone and body language were cold and clearly showed that she did not want to engage. Throughout the brief interaction, she sighed, rolled her eyes, and made it clear that she was irritated simply because we asked a question. Instead of trying to help or show even basic politeness, she distanced herself and went back to reading her book in the corner—clearly uninterested in speaking with visitors. To make matters worse, she didn’t even know the answer and had to ask her colleague, who was polite, professional, and actually took the time to explain things clearly. We appreciated his help very much. Whether the young woman is a volunteer or paid staff, it is not acceptable to treat visitors this way—especially those who are genuinely interested in learning. I strongly suggest assigning this role to someone who is more welcoming and better suited to working with the public. I hope this feedback is taken seriously to improve the visitor experience.
Nesli K — Google review
Interesting place to visit. Parking can be hard to find if there's a theatre performance. There are two replica ships you can come aboard. And lots of houses to visit. They aren't clustered together, so there's a bit of a walk

It was 40 degrees when we visited and nearly empty- and still the staff were courteous and attentive, lol. They must have been impossibly overheated! The place was definitely worth a visit.

Visited Discovery Harbour while hinking at Awenda Park and it was such a cool experience! The historic ships and buildings give you a real feel for what life was like back in the early 1800s. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable, and some even dress in period costume, which makes it feel even more immersive. They even had the ancient live gun shooting and blacksmith work The setting on the water is beautiful, and it’s an easy, laid-back spot to explore for a couple of hours. Great for families, history buffs, or anyone looking for something unique to do in the Midland/Penetanguishene area. A nice change of pace from hiking and camping!

Georgian Spirit Cruises, a new addition as of autumn 2021, offers narrated tours on the open waters of the Georgian Bay. The cruises showcase the best landmarks around Midland and Penetanguishene, including Giants Tomb Island and Beausoleil Island. With options for sightseeing, dining, or specialty cruises lasting about 3 hours each, guests can enjoy breathtaking views while having a unique and romantic experience.
Beautiful afternoon on Georgian Bay. The weather was fabulous. The information told personally, of the history of various places was most interesting. The sound system wasn't working great so we had someone come to our table and offered some narration. Drinks were reasonably priced at the self serve bar. I recommend this cruise. Also if you need a narrator, don't be shy to ask at the wheelhouse.

My family and I had a great time on the Georgian Spirit! The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Lots of food and drink options at a reasonable price. Captain Muhammad was great; we were cruising around for the full three hours. We would have enjoyed some prerecorded narration on the tour, but this is not currently offered.

Had an amazing boat trip on Georgian Bay! Bill, the cruise director made sure we were well looked after from start to finish—super organized and welcoming. Peter was just as great—friendly, upbeat, and full of interesting facts about the area. He pointed out landmarks and hidden gems along the way, which made the whole experience even more memorable. Highly recommend if you're looking for a relaxing and scenic day out on the water!

My co-worker and I took 3 people who all have varying degrees of mental/physical disabilities on this cruise today… if I could give more than 5 stars I would! I’ve done this cruise twice before, but never under these circumstances and the entire crew, even before we boarded, treated all of us with respect and dignity. They offered to help get us and our wheelchair loaded on the boat and situated comfortably. They offered to help us navigate the boat, should we want to move spots, and they showed more than just patience to all of us, equally. They were kind, they were thoughtful and they were understanding. They never made us feel like burdens or unwanted and treated every single one of us as equals, regardless of our differing needs and abilities. Not only is the cruise beautiful, the scenery can do that for itself, but what made this outing memorable and special for all of us was the crew. Thank you so much, from the bottom of our hearts.

Bill you are such a kind gentleman man. I work for a group home, bought my person supported for the cruise. We both enjoyed your hospitality very much! We had a very disappointing experience with Midland Boat Cruise. We booked a ferry appointment for our delivery people in advance and even got confirmation. We traveled all the way from Toronto to Midland just for this cruise, only to find out on the way there — after we called them — we got to know that our booking had been cancelled. They never informed us in advance about the cancellation. No email, no phone call, nothing. It felt like our time and effort didn’t matter to them at all. Extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate. We wasted a whole day, travel costs, and energy — all because of their lack of communication.

Kittyhawk is a cafe during the day and a brasserie after 5:30pm called Nighthawk. Amazing coffee... And elevated experience at night. You can feel the love and the pride they take in the food and delicious wines, imported from France. The cocktails are also stunning. Try the clarified Negroni. We loved the fresh East coast oysters, the beef carpaccio and the sinfully buttery and delicious escargot. We also felt very well taken care of. This place is a hidden gem.

Wonderful spot for artisan sandwich and shell fish (oysters). Great atmosphere and bright. Staff is very pleasant. Lots of parking on the street. Small patio off the side of the building. Our meal was tasty and timely. My only constructive criticism is that there should be clear direction as to the seating and ordering procedure, otherwise absolutely perfect 👌

Stopped in here for dinner. The menu is extremely small, but everything is done beautifully. The desserts were a low point, but that's not what we came for. I was impressed with the plant wall and plants for sale 👌

Wonderful place! Creative and fresh menu options and friendly service, they do a good job here! The buratta was wonderful as was the tuna. The Rueben bites wrapped in pastry (won ton rollers I believe) were tasty. The kitchen kindly let my sister (not a fish lover) order off the day menu and her mortadella sandwich with warmed honey and pistachios was to die for! My drink, the Penicillan (spelling??), a scotch based drink of wonder, came with a slice of candied ginger, alerting me to the creative adventure this place seems to pride itself on. Give it a try, everything we had was wonderful!

Second time we've been here, and this is now one of our favorite places. The atmosphere, cocktails, food and staff, Evan and Denise are all wonderful. Best oysters, love the Irish point. Very generous charcuterie board,. Delicious escargot, genius serving it on crossaint. Excellent and reasonably priced french wines and great cocktails.

A hidden gem just off of the main strip in beautiful Penetanguishene. Whether you are looking for lunch, dinner, or drinks before a show at the King’s Wharf theatre, this is just the spot. The ceviche was fresh, the drinks mixed in house, and all served with a smile!

Last night we stopped by to try Kitty Hawk We had heard positive comments. Let me just say if oysters are your thing you must not wait any longer to experience this amazing venue. We also tried the escargot and the shrimp. Everything was over the top amazing and served with care and a smile. Staff very attentive and knowledgeable. Thanks for a fantastic evening. Can't wait to come back.

Great lunch spot. Big delicious sandwiches available. Had the smoked turkey and brought 1/2 home for tomorrow. My husband had the antipasto sandwich and it was loaded with meat and cheese. Curried carrot soup tasty but not overly spiced. A good blend of flavours using homemade stock. Sandwiches made with tasty homemade bread.

Coffee shop
Tim Hortons is a Canadian chain known for its premium-blend coffee, light fare, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches. Customers have shared mixed experiences, with some encountering errors in their orders but expressing willingness to return due to loyalty. Others have praised the cleanliness of the locations and the friendly and helpful staff. The food quality has also been commended, with one customer particularly impressed by a perfectly made breakfast wrap.
A Shining Example of What Tim Hortons Should Be! ★★★★★ I make it a point to stop at this Tim Hortons whenever I'm in Midland, Ontario, and it consistently stands out as one of the best I've ever visited. The first thing you notice is the exceptional customer service. The entire team, from the cashiers to the kitchen staff, is incredibly friendly, efficient, and they clearly work together like a well-oiled machine. They are always eager to help and genuinely do their best to get your order right, making every visit pleasant. The location itself is excellent. The hours are convenient, and the restaurant is always impeccably clean. I especially noted that the bathrooms were well-maintained, which is always a mark of a good establishment. Now, for the most important part: the food. The baked goods are consistently fresh, soft, and delicious. The Timbits are a perfect treat, and the sandwiches are always made well. It's clear they focus on quality and freshness. Finally, what truly makes this location special is its vibrant and hardworking team. It's wonderful to see a diverse group of local Canadians, including many enthusiastic young people, working together with such pride and dedication. It really adds to the positive, community-focused atmosphere that makes this Tim Hortons a true hot spot in Midland. This store is a gem and a credit to the Tim Hortons brand. Highly recommended

Oh well I guess I will have to get used to the fact that Tim's has a lot of work to do. This is what my last visit got me . I didn't notice it until I had guzzled about half of my coffee and then I wanted to vomit. I realize that this isn't policy but I'm not going back. Can you blame me 😱

Absolutely the best Tim’s I have been too…in and out in less than 5 minutes!!! Order was completed exactly as I ordered. Muffin was soooo fresh,

Honestly the service over the last year I haven’t received here has been horrible. Especially after today. I waited in the drive thru for about 10 minutes to get my daily caramel ice coffee… only to see after I pulled away already running late for work that it was made with oat milk which I’m highly allergic to and I had to throw away my $5 ice coffee. Not very impressed. Normally little mistakes I don’t care about but even after specifying exactly what I wanted in my ice coffee it gets messed up and I waste my money and time in this drive thru.

Doing a drywall job nearby. Probably the best tim hortons I've been in, in years. Around 8am, it's been busy and friendly every time I've gone in. Everyone is friendly, including customers. There's a real sense of community here. Bathrooms are always clean too.

A few wrong orders, confusing and when it is drive through you don't know until it is too late. Mention it on return and not good enough. Convenience; drive through. To have them "fix" it, you have to stop and call immediately. I drive through as I am in a hurry. Double| check at pickup what the order is.

Restaurant
During a delightful Saturday road trip to Midland, I stumbled upon Fish N' Fry Inn, and it was the perfect coastal stop for fish and chips. The welcoming owners serve up fresh fish alongside hand-cut fries that are simply irresistible. Priced at $13.95, the generous portions come with ample tartare and hot sauce—no hidden fees here since taxes are included in the menu prices!
Great food here, always try to stop in when passing through town, give it a try!

Honestly super disappointed in this place, got fish and chips yesterday, the lemon slice they gave me still has a sticker on it which tells me they don’t wash their produce, also I got a side of gravy and when I dipped my fry in the gravy I found little fruit flies in it…. So gross I tossed my meal and went elsewhere …. Quality is not there for this fry truck. Gross

I went and I ordered fish and chips halibut and it was excellent Service was absolutely fantastic. Very friendly people and the weight was worth it maybe 15 minutes but you have to remember they need to cook it which was done excellent my hats off to their chef
Paul P — Google review
I have been in the area for about a year and a half now and was looking for a good fish and chip spot, i have definitely found it. I ordered a haddock dinner with a piece of halibut on the side, the fish was hot, crispy with the perfect amount of batter to fish ratio, the fries were fluffy on the inside and had a golden crunch to the outside. All the food was fresh and when i asked for a few extra tarter sauces on the side, i received them without issue. The gentleman that was working, i would assume was the owner was very friendly, apologizing for the wait though i was only there for maybe 20-30 mins with 5-6 people infront of me, 10/10 service, 10/10 food. I would absolutely suggest this spot and i will be back.

I stopped by here during my Saturday one day roadtrip to Midland, because how can you not have fish & chips when you’re in a coastal Ontario town in Summer? Very friendly owners, fresh fish and fresh cut potatoes for the chips. For $13.95, the position size seems fairly generous and they did not stinge with the tartare sauce and hot sauce. A very impressive point which you may not agree with me: Their menu prices include all taxes! So yes, the price you see is the price you’ll be paying.

Amazing food amazing service amazingly fast! The new owner has definitely stepped his game up adding tacos to the menu which were some of the best tacos I've had in a long time. As a chef myself I enjoy trying new places and new foods and this was just as good if not better then any food truck around here. Also the owner took the time to ask me how I enjoyed my food and took time to come out and talk to my wife and I made for a great atmosphere thanks guys.

History Museums
The Huronia Museum and Huron Ouendat Village in Midland is a historical and cultural attraction that offers indoor and outdoor interactive displays. The museum features art, history exhibits, and a life-size replica village showcasing the pre-European contact lifestyle of the Huron/Ouendat people. Visitors can explore the village to learn about the traditions and cultures of the Wendat people.
If you like to learn about our great Canadian history, you must see this place. I loved it. It might be a little bit boring for toddlers since they don't have the passion for letting you read the signs at the museum. I enjoyed it so much, thanks to my husband, who kept our toddler occupied while I was exploring the museum.
Sama A — Google review
Why do so few people visit museums in winter? Everyone should visit this one. This is the history of Huronia, this is the history of the area and many exhibits in the museum tell about life 150 years ago. There is a store, collections of toys, furniture, dresses and clothes, models of ships and history about them. Be sure to treat yourself to such a useful trip. We came in a very cold weather, at the beginning of January and did not regret it.

Loved our visit yesterday! The person working the front desk was lovely! They were funny and so welcoming. Made extra effort to engage wih our kids and was so patient with us as we lingered until the very last minute before closing. Great variety of artifacts. Wish I would have has more time to spend in the gift shop! So many books!

The museum gives a general overview of Huronia. The exhibits are, no pun intended, a bit dated. The village is an ongoing labor of love. It really gives a sense of what life was like for this particular area.

Festival
The Midland Butter Tart Festival, held annually since 2013, is gaining popularity each year. This local festival occurs during the summer season and features about 200 vendors and food trucks in downtown Midland and at the marina. The event offers a wide range of homemade treats, including butter tarts. Considered one of the best festivals in Ontario, it takes place every June over the second weekend.
It's happening right now. One of the best festival in Ontario. Varieties of butter tarts. Lovely atmosphere. Great festival to enjoy with family and friends 😃
Harsha P — Google review
I visited this past Saturday on June 14th, 2025 and really enjoyed my time there. There was a great crowd there with great vendors selling different items. I especially enjoyed the vendor that sold their winning maple syrup and another who sold their gluten free butter tarts. Kudos to those who organized the event. I enjoyed my time walking around and looking at the water to decompress myself. There was singing on stage, food vendors and bouncy castles (paid admission) for children to play in. Family friendly, for everyone.
Carms — Google review
The festival was great. So many butter tarts to choose from. Would definitely recommend a visit to anyone who enjoys a good butter tart. Used the remote parking with the bus service. It worked great and saved the hassle of finding a parking spot. Had some good entertainment as well. Suggest getting there early. Enjoy!
Jay M — Google review
Opens at 9am but need to show up no later than 10am. By 11am the streets were filled and line ups to buy buttertasts stretched long. Huge selections and lots to buy, some wild flavours you'd never consider.
Amanda — Google review
It was pretty good, my feedback is, why are some vendors leaving their tarts out in the hot sun? They didn't get my business. Also, knowing how crowded it would be, why bring dogs + strollers to this? I didn't have to worry about parking thank god, as hubby dropped me off, parked somewhere, then picked me up a while after. I didn't buy much due to the cost. Didn't see where they were judging. However enjoyed what I did buy, + only bought from vendors where there were no line-ups.

Amazing food! Wonderful people! I would like to thank the beautiful Human who gave me their hair tie!...It was very hot that day and I forgot mine...desperate to put my hair up, I asked two lovely humans running one of the booths if they had one to spare but they only had what they were using...a lovely Human who was walking by heard my request and gave me theirs!! So very grateful 🤗 If you are reading this , Thank you for your kindness! It may seem like nothing but your kindness no matter how small, reminds me that there are still decent Humans out there, who care about other Humans! Sending love! ❤️ I had a terrific time and will definitely return!
Chickklette Z — Google review
I can't say enough good things about this festival except that I wish it was longer (2 days would be good). Between the food vendors and buskers, it was a perfect mix. It was better than many street festivals in Toronto.
Ulyana F — Google review
We went to the buttertart festival for the first time this year, and we drove up from the city. We arrived at about 9:15am parking was a bit difficult to find we had to park on a side street a bit of a walk away, which wasn't a big deal. Just definitely don't expect to get a spot in one of the lots unless you get lucky & get a spot when someone is leaving. It was VERY busy, packed with people, hard to get a good look at the booths, it was crowded. It's all along one street. In my opinion, they should have occupied some of the side streets a bit more to spread things out a bit. I think this would allow for better flow & give people the opportunity to check out the stands a bit more. There was one lot that they had completely closed off, not allowing people to park that could have been used for more vendors to spread out, giving much more space for people. But other than it being crowded, it was good. The tarts were all fabulous, and it was definitely not easy to choose what tarts you want to buy. We were able to get two packs of the competition tarts, which I was happy about. We noticed that those sold out very quickly. I didn't see any more after 11 am. I know it's a bit difficult, but I think it would be a good idea to get the competitors to make many more tarts to be able to be sold. To allow more people to get the option to buy them to try. Overall a great experience & we enjoyed it.

We had a wonderful high tea here. The staff were super friendly and the tea room was very charming and authentic. Loved all the British decor! They had TONS of tea options, we all four chose 4 different flavors and they were all great. The finger sandwiches were delicious, the scones lovely and fresh, with plenty of jam and clotted cream to accompany. Even though we were quite full after gorging ourselves on this feast, we had a taste of the assorted sweets, which were also light and tasty. All in all, I would come here again and I highly recommend others to try.

Cute little store and tea room in one. Scones are delicious and fresh - made daily. Great selection of gifts for friends and family: from treats (including our family's favourite Walkers short bread) and tea, mugs, beautiful Victorian style night lights, dragon fly charms to wool scarves, including some gifts for kids. Also open when other stores on King were closed. The owner is very kind and has a detailed map of nearby attractions in a little basket at the entrance. Would love to come again.

Burger Barr is a highly recommended American restaurant in the area, known for its delicious burgers, generous portions, and quality ingredients. The fries are crispy and the prices are fair. It is considered an institution in Midland, offering great prices, wonderful service, and tasty food. One must try their burger and poutine to truly appreciate the flavors.
If you ask anyone from this area "what's a good place for lunch" they'll only ever come up with two names. This is one of them. Burger was delicious, large, and they don't skimp on ingredients. Fries are crispy. Prices are fair. The plate pictured was about $20 with drink and tip. Highly recommend.

Place stinks like sewage (you know that old washroom smell), over priced for a sausage and who puts toppings underneath the sausage or hot dog? The smell of the place alone should have told me what to expect but trying to be nice always burns me. Update: Tasted the sausage and it’s not good. The people saying the food here is good makes me feel like they have no taste buds or, are friends with the owner here. Smh. Below a guy gave five stars and showed pics but the poutine cheese curds aren’t even melted why are you lying?

Dillon's Wood Fired Pizza offers Neapolitan-style pizzas cooked in a wood-burning oven, with a variety of toppings to choose from. The small dining area initially raised concerns due to the close proximity of tables, but these worries were quickly dispelled by the exceptional service provided by the staff. The food itself was truly outstanding, surpassing even the high standards associated with Italian cuisine in Sault Ste Marie, where the restaurant originates from.
We found ourselves in Midland hungery and tired after cycling the Tay Shore Trail on a Sunday afternoon. Everything was closed or closing for the day but found Dillon's open and inviting. Sitting outside enjoying the patio we soon moved inside to listen to the fantastic live music. They had a fine list of wine choices and interesting cocktails. We were so impressed with their pizza. They do not skimp on toppings, with loads of decadent meats and cheeses. Peach on pizza??? Yes!! Amazing!!! Their pizza prices are a bit higher than average, but well woth it. We each ordered a gelato but didn't realize the portions would be so huge - it was so good that we somehow managed to finish it all. We will definitely return next time we're up in Midland

Let’s start with the New Yorker PIZZA, it was delicious and tasty with loads of toppings. The Caesar salad.was good too, next time we would ask for extra no Caesar dressing but it was still good. The meatball appt was alittle tasteless.and we wouldn’t order again. Overall it was a good dinner for a little pizza place in midland. This place is not cheap, the pizza alone was $32 with are bill coming to $91 with 1 drink each. FYI: if your looking for a fruity alcoholic drink ask the waitress for her homemade fruity drink “ she just made up”😁

Food is of good quality and would like to give 5 stars however given the quantity of the food and the price I found a little ridiculous. We had the Classico and Margarita. Both pizza were quite small. Also ordered the small caprese salad which was honestly mind blowing to look at given the price. Again good quality food but way over priced especially when you factor the portions.

Guys, you need to visit this place!!! One of the best cheese dip that i had for a long tine, and the wood fired pizza was excelente :) On top of all the amazing food, the service!!! Omg kudos too the staff, I felt l like I was back home with friends!! Thank you for the amazing dinner to end the butter tart festival day trip!!!

We had a lovely lunch on the patio, and we're able to bring our dog. Food (chop salad and Pizzas) was amazing, and service was excellent. Highly recommended

It was fine while I was there, but I noticed the Caesar salad was super garlicky, like overly garlicky The pizza was good. But afterwards, the garlic taste from the Caesar salad was overwhelming and made me and my guest feel uncomfortable for most of the night. I think you need to revamp your recipe for that one

Absolutely amazing in all aspects. The food was incredible. Both pizzas we ate were excellent. The desserts were excellent as well. The place is beautifully decorated and is bright and clean. All the servers are very personable and provide excellent service. This place was worth every penny! Edit: Came back a year later; just as delicious as last time! Amazing quality.

Fish & chips restaurant
Seafood restaurant
Midland Fish & Chip & Seafoods is a charming eatery that offers delectable fish and chips. Located on a road trip, it is the perfect spot for a quick and satisfying meal. The prices are reasonable, considering the generous portions. The 2 piece haddock with chips and gravy is particularly scrumptious. The friendly lady working there adds to the welcoming atmosphere of this cute little fish and chips place.
Cute little fish and chips place. Loved that they sold butter tarts at the cash since I was craving it! The lady making the fish and chips and that was at the counter was super super nice. Absolutely love her. Come here if you are ever in the area!
Hayam B — Google review
My family's visit to Midland Fish & Chip & Seafoods was a delight. The haddock fish and chips were top-notch, a perfect blend of crunch and succulent fish. I was impressed with the range of kid-friendly options on the menu, from tasty poutine to crispy chicken fingers and cheeseburgers, satisfying the younger members of our party. What truly elevated our experience was the excellent customer service. Not sure whether the woman serving us on July 20 is the owner, but she was kind and efficient. Her warm demeanour and prompt service made us feel genuinely welcomed. After our inquiry about the tarts on the menu, we were pleasantly surprised by her sharing about the local Butter Tarts Festival. It was a thoughtful touch that added to our experience. In short, with reasonable prices and fantastic service, this spot is well worth a visit whether you're a local or just passing through.

Absolutely delicious! Stopped in here on a road trip for a quick bite to eat and we definitely made the right choice. Prices were fair, especially for how filling it was. We both got the 2 piece haddock and chips with gravy. All of it was scrumptious. The lady working was extremely welcoming and friendly. All around great service!

First time visit to this little gem. What may appear as a tiny place actually packs a big punch. Greeted right away as soon as you walk in. My wife and I inquired on types and sizes of fish and were shown in each case. We ordered lightly battered fish and chips. What was impressive was the fact that the effort was clearly made to lightly batter the fish. They were not over done and they were not greasy. We made a request not to add salt to the fries of which we were happy that she had no issue. Taste of everything was on point. Will definitely come back to this location as it has been one of the best we have been to in ages. Great service, great food.

What a gem. Great halibut, great fries and home made tartar sauce. Made us Arnold Palmers with their home made lemonade and iced tea, delicious. Then we finished off the meal with the deep fried butter tart, highly recommend. The two women working were such a treat. We will be making this a regular spot to hit!

Was the worst Fish and Chips I've ever had. Fish was ok but batter was soggy with an over powering heavy grease taste, not like other places I've eaten that were good. Chips were small ends, flavorless and dry. Terrible lunch. We returned our food after eating some of it because we were really hungry. The server was nice and said she'd tell the owner but that did me no good after paying over 50 bucks for a lunch that was awful. Do not recommend this place, go somewhere else.
Lynn P — Google review
The Halibut was good. Really greasy though but its fried food. The fries were soggy to the point we threw them into the air fryer at home. I did not pick the order up but my wife said the lady was really nice. Honestly i would not recommend take out. The portion of fries was sad and the box left puddles of grease on the table. The burger was given a thumbs up. This is not what I expected. Over priced. This was the first and last time eating here.

I had dinner with my family for Thanksgiving, and we all ordered the Thanksgiving special. It was amazing, in my opinion. My family and I enjoyed this 3 course meal. We got soup, a main course, and dessert for $28. Definitely will dine here again.

After discovering Explorers Bistro and how amazing the food is, I’ve been working my way through the menu whenever I go there. The place is clean, staff is friendly, food is a must try experience- and once you do you’ll be back for more! Especially if you try the Bruschetta!! Beautifully decorated! All spices, marinades and sauces created in house by the chef! For cocktails/mocktails they use fresh squeezes limes and lemons. Food cooked fresh- not from frozen. Great place to sit down and enjoy a meal or they do takeout as well as listed on Uber Eats! Must try if you live or stopping by Midland, Ontario area!

We come to Midland quite often in the summer and were happy to visit this place! Most of the places offer deep fried stuff and here everything is made from scratch. The interior of the restaurant is charming, they have a nice patio as well. Portion size is on the bigger size and everything tasted delicious. Our waitress was wonderful and very attentive, especially to our children. We loved everything and will definitely be back.
Natalie D — Google review
We had a nice experience the other day at the Explorer's Bistro, but I was a bit disappointed that several menu items we wished were unavailable. Also, I found that, for a place with very traditional Greek cuisine, the Greek Salad wasn't the most authentic. I had really hoped to try their lamb, but it wasn't available. I will give it a try again, as the place was very nice, and the service was very good. I'd say the price was fair, if maybe a little expensive for what was served.
Carl W — Google review
The decor of the restaurant is fantastic - it's light and comfortable, with beautiful pictures of locations all over the world on all of the walls. It seems that they change their menu periodically to be from one part of the world at a time - when I visited, the menu was all Mediterranean cuisine. The food was absolutely delicious, and my favourite was actually the appetiser, Spanokopita. It's like a small pie stuffed with cheese and pita, and I could have eaten that as my full meal.
Zacchary D — Google review
Cozy place on a quiet winter evening. Lovely, creative atmosphere. I bet the patio in the summer is the place to be. Souvlaki and lamb cooked to perfection, seasoned well. Would have preferred some veggies with the Souvlaki instead of triple carbs, but all tasty.

Been eating at different restos for the last five nights, this has been by far, the BEST one. Delicious food, made fresh to order, NOT FROZEN, prices are great for the quality you get. Thank you so much Explorers, for your phenomenal service and flavour ⭐️🤩⭐️

Where do I start… The food is simply divine, the service is beyond amazing and the decor is on point. I’ve eaten here a few times, in house and for take out. Unfortunately I had forgotten to take photos while dinning in, but the Mushroom Risotto was perfectly made, the Lamb Shank was absolutely mouth watering, and the Truffle Burger and Truffle fries are a favourite of mine. Autumn was my server both times, throughly enjoyed her service and her dedication to her customers. For the price, you get what you pay for. Will be back more often! Thanks again

Park
David Onley Park, located in downtown Midland, is a charming waterfront park named after a former Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. The park offers stunning views of the harbor and is a popular spot for watching century-old tugboats. Despite some wet spots, it's a great place to visit, especially during events like the boat show or BBQ/Beerfest. Visitors can also enjoy a leisurely cruise on Miss Midland and learn about the area's heritage while taking in the beautiful sights.
Back again for the festival and the sights. Incredible views. Added pics this time. A really neat place to go. Town of Midland was all over getting it right. Terriffic boat show. Cool sight watching the tugboats, some approaching a century. And the stories ..... Considering the rain, David Onley Park was a great place. Just had to avoid some wet spots.

Sainte Marie among the hurons

Sainte Marie among the Hurons offers a fascinating glimpse into Ontario's first European settlement, reminiscent of scenes from the film Black Robe. Established by Jesuit missionaries, this site aimed to introduce Christianity to the Indigenous people. Visitors can explore authentically recreated buildings where knowledgeable interpreters, fluent in both French and English, engage guests with hands-on experiences. You might learn how to bake delightful lavender cookies in a traditional wood-fired oven or witness metalworking techniques at the blacksmith shop.

This hidden gem offers an array of mouthwatering chocolate confections, homemade fudge, and refreshing ice cream. Glen, the passionate owner and chocolatier, shares his journey from a casual truffle enthusiast to a master craftsman whose artisanal chocolates are made in small batches to guarantee freshness.
We came up to Port McNicol for a team getaway weekend, decided to go downtown Midland to wonder and was advised by a local gentlemen we had to make sure to visit this little chocolate place around the corner! So how could we say no? We were not disappointed the Fudge was absolutely amazing we also got their fresh hot cider and another drink I cant recall but it was great!!! If we ever make our way up there again, we’ll be sure to make another visit!!! Thanks!!

My family and I went in today for a little summer afternoon cold treat, and we were pleasantly surprised! I asked for an iced matcha latte, with a shot of vanilla syrup. The owner recommended for it to be blended and I am happy I tried it because it was delicious!!!! He even let me keep the leftover drink in the blender to refill my cup, so I won’t waste any. This was truly such a welcoming atmosphere with a nice owner, I HIGHLY recommend!!!

My girlfriend and I stopped here looking for ice cream. We left with $100 worth of goddies (including ice cream) and a wonderful chat with the owner, Glen. He was so kind and cheerful, and he happily told us about his story and about making chocolate (he makes almost everything he sells). It was really nice talking to him. He helped us pick out a bunch of treats (which, again, we didn't even initially have the intention of getting, but everything looked so good), and gave us some great big soft serve ice cream cones! This place is definitely a treat!

Was looking for coffee on a recent visit to Midland and stopped here not expecting to be so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the espresso, the helpful and knowledgeable service and incredible selection of chocolates and treats made in-house. Lots of variety, great quality and the service is just as amazing as ever. What a lovely place!

I've been attending this quaint spot for several years now, and I make a habit to visit every time at my family cottage. The atmosphere is terrific, and the owner is always approachable and respectful. He's great to talk to. The fudge options are unlike anything I've witnessed before, and we always grab a coffee to go. That, or a matcha beverage. Everything about this little shop is exquisite. I'll be going back every chance I get.

Lilly's Italian Eatery provided a perfect setting for a memorable night out, free from the responsibility of caring for a baby. The server was both courteous and efficient, ensuring that our dining experience was uninterrupted while periodically checking on our satisfaction. The delectable cuisine showcased freshness and homemade goodness in every bite. The wine selection complemented our meal perfectly, and the post-dinner cocktails were equally delightful.
We come to Lily‘s at least once a year with our friends while visiting. We have never been disappointed. The food is delicious and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. We love the changes in the menu and the specials they have with different wine pairings as well. It’s a great place to go to celebrate an occasion or just to go have them an amazing meal.

We made a reservation the restaurant was about half full when we arrived. We got seated and waited for about 15 minutes till a staff member asked us for drinks. Waited another 45 minutes for our food to come out. The food was great and warm when it arrived, but it was just not worth the 45-minute wait.

We've been here a couple of times now. Everything was fantastic the first time. The second time, we were waiting a long time to be served, for our food to come, and to get our bill. Server was friendly, just didn't seem to be in a rush. Redeeming this was the food, which was amazing. Our son and his girlfriend got the gnocchi and loved it. I got the chicken parm which was huge and probably the best I've ever had.

The food was excellent, and the portions were large. The entire salad order can be easily split among three people as an appetizer. We had the stuffed chicken, chicken Parmesan and mushrooms ravioli were all delicious and we had leftovers to take home.

Nice place for a quiet evening out with great food. Be sure to make a reservation as they are quite busy all nights. Be sure to inquire about the daily specials as while the menu offerings are diverse, they'll often have additional options that are well worth it.

Fine dining atmosphere in the heart of Midland. The mushroom risotto was amazing and can’t wait to go back!
Brittany B — Google review
Our first visit to this restaurant was a mixed bag. The food was fantastic and easily the highlight of the meal. The atmosphere, however, was just ok—some simple fixes, like removing the tape from the entryway windows, as well as adding some curtains to help absorb the sound, would make a big difference. The service also didn't meet our expectations. Our waitress, Ebonee, was friendly, but seemed to lack experience. She brought our main courses out while we were still eating our appetizers, and we had to hold up our plates for her to set the new ones down. It was a clear sign that a little more training would go a long way. Despite the service hiccups, the excellent food guarantees we'll be back. We're hopeful for a better dining experience on our next visit.

Crazy prices for good food. Asked for a pasta with no meat, they removed the meat and didn't add any vegetables or anything to make up the volume of the plate( compared to two others who ordered the same thing). Just lazy. Would've been nice to have some chickpeas or something.

Most of the food is homemade!! Homemade fresh fries was delicious with my 2 pieces of fish. Fish had a crispy batter also serve with homemade coleslaw. My wife had 1/2 rib rack (fall of the bones & very tasty) with homemade fries. Both meals included a small fresh salad. We felt welcome especially our first time there. Calamari was ok. The Greek salad dressing was good, but the salad was mainly lettuce with a couple pieces of tomato and a but of cucumber. There were 3 olives on top. It did have a good amount of feta, so overall not bad. The hamburger in the hot hamburger was not good - it was a frozen patty, and not a good one. The fries and gravy were good. My husband got the steak special and said it was OK?

Went there at 9pm hoping to get a meal on a Saturday night as all the other restaurants on King were closed. My husband ordered a philly cheesesteak with fries, I ordered a burger and fried. Both the meals were disgusting, except the fries which were decent. Atmosphere is ok but not the greatest, and it smells like cat litter in the restaurant. I guess its really just a bar, and dont expect more for food. We wont go back there to eat.

I was delighted by the prospect of visiting Stackers Pancake House after a long time. As a server, the staff seamlessly coordinated their efforts, ensuring that coffee and water refills were graciously offered to all tables rather than just their own. This attention to detail was something I greatly appreciated. Moreover, the friendly greeting I received upon entering the restaurant immediately put me at ease. In terms of food quality, I had no complaints whatsoever; everything exceeded my expectations.
Earlier in the year we visited Midland and sought out a local restaurant. We found this one. We were greeted by staff very quickly and seated efficiently. The menu was diverse. We ordered chicken fingers, grilled cheese, club house and a toasted western. All food came out quick and freshly prepared. Service was polite and quick. Seemed to have a lot of local residents attending which is a good sign! If I am ever in Midland again I would return. The food was good, came out quick and price was very reasonable.

Popped in for a brunch with Silvio & T after a night at the card table. Place puts together a nice classic breakfast.. could use a coat of paint but bacon was crispy and blondie had a nice smile.

Good food as always ate very light but good.Servers good friendly and always have time to say hey how are you. It is clean some of the seating like the booths chairs are ripped.. need to be replace. It was painted not to long ago. Freshen up. Go have fun and breakfast is our time to go but we go for lunch as well.

Service was great! Food came out quickly and was delicious. Heads up, portions are large. I couldn't finish everything. Gracias Emma!!

I went with a friend for breakfast on Sunday June 29th at around 10 a.m. and it was not very busy at the time. Ordered a poached egg medium (wanted my yolk runny but not super runny) and white toast. I have to say my compliments to the cook that day the egg was perfectly cooked. I am just starting to get out and about and eating again since I’ve been going through some things and I have to admit I really enjoyed my breakfast. I would recommend this restaurant as the staff is very friendly and helpful when you ask questions. Our waitress was amazing and attentive. Can’t wait to go back again.

It started out great. Coffee and water are delivered quickly. Order placed simultaneously. 30 minutes later, there was no sign of our waitress, food, and 1 coffee refill. I asked another server about our order. Within 5 minutes, our food arrived along with a sighting of our waitress who promptly returned our bacon for a little crip up.. hashbrowns were delicious. We have been here several times and have never had such slow horrible service. Will contemplate a return visit

The service was good, and the overall restaurant atmosphere. When it comes to food, my eggs were ordered as poached and very soft. When I got them they were harder than I liked and my peameal was very tough. I’m not sure if the cook was having a bad day, or just didn’t read the order. It’s not a deal breaker for me, but I’ll be a lot more cautious when ordering.

My wife ordered FrenchToast with a side of Bacon ($3.99) Turns out the waitress (owner) decided to add the side of bacon from the other part of the menu ($5.99). No customer clarification needed. I ate there about 6 months before we were served by an older women and she forgot we were in the restaurant. This time we waited about 45 minutes for our food. I would suggest you eat elsewhere. Oh right my wife ordered Pancakes according to the owner who knows what my wife wanted...
