Altaria Mall is a capacious and upscale enclosed shopping center that houses multiple international retailers, a cinema, and a food court. The atmosphere of the mall is welcoming and the staff is helpful and friendly. Additionally, it offers diverse services such as a hair salon, optometrist office, and an excellent coffee shop named "light house." One can pay with credit cards at all stores which makes shopping experience more convenient especially for foreign travelers who may not have enough local currency on hand.
It's a gorgeous mall and you have to pay for parking. A lot of high end stores and a movie theater to enjoy.

The environment of this shopping center is welcoming and the vendors I had spoken to were friendly and helpful. This place also has a great variety of food and service offerings, inside you can find a hair salon, optometrist, and a nice coffee shop "light house", which I recommend.
Also, for the foreign travelers, all the shops I stopped at accepted credit card and this made my shipping experience all the more simple since I didn't have very much Mexican currency on hand.

This is the mall for Aguascalientes. Has a lot of clothing, sneakers, shoes etc… lots of shopping selections and a casino.. a few good restaurants and nice environment to walk around and hang out
The tree looks nice and lovely. Christmas vibes have set in.
Great place to visit, great stores and prices have gone down from previous years with great stores like Miniso, H&M and Sears. Good ambient with good AC. The food court has decent variation, unfortunate their Burger King has deteriorated quite badly. Loving the addition of Best Buy as well.

I came to Cinépolis Altaria VIP and the movies were great. You can order food and drinks. I ordered the burger and wings special for the day. The wings were extremely small (baby wings) but they were delicious and the burger came with curly fries. I would suggest you give them a try.
Also, the seats are recliners. They can almost lay you down. But they do not rumble and move to the movie.
I would recommend them.
Comfortable place to enjoy the movies. Clean theaters. Comfortable seating. Excellent sound and projection. The VIP theater is probably THE best movie-going experience in Aguascalientes...while double the costs it's worth it for the really great movies. Decent concessions, but sometimes short-handed when lines are long. Air conditioning well controlled. Plenty of Mall parking. Buy tickets online...saves a lot of time from long lines for the most popular movies.
I constantly come here as it is the most nearby Cinépolis theathre. I am tired of the constant bad service at the VIP theatre. They take your order after about 20 min, by then the movie has already started, and then they bring you the order easily during half the movie through. To find that the popcorn is old, and many times the drinks too. Anything cold such as ice cream is literally melting. They are constantly having issues with the seats not working, and the screens. Today it even made us miss about 5 min of the ending of the movie, while someone decided to finally fix the screen issue. I do not recommend this place at all.
Today we want to the VIP - it was excelent, as usual. The Altaria, AGS Cinepolis is clean, organized and offers great value.
I loved it so much especially the VIP it's so nice my wife loved too! She is from US and she never went to a movie theater like that one , and he have been on movie theaters on 3 different countries. Totally worth it!
Clean and courteous personnel however, there was only one person selling ticket at 2:15 pm on Sunday! There are 6 registers, one sales person is just bad scheduling.
Must pay for parking and machines do not accept new 100 pesos bills. Attention is slow and the entrance and exita were not really well planed. Everything else is just normal mall, nothing special

Plaza de las Tres Centurias is a historic and cultural space with old railway buildings, beautiful gardens, and monuments that honor Aguascalientes’ railroad heritage.
Ome of the best places to just have a chill moment and be in touch with the culture of AGS.
Every Sunday you can find stands of different people selling fruits, food, and a variety of products.
Is also a greater place to spend time with your familia and kids. I love that is one of the few places where you can find that many trees.
Very nice place to view old classic trains. If you take the kiddy train tour, you can learn about the location and the train they have. They also have a museum but we left a little early and didn't go inside. It's a nice relaxing place.
Probably the most photographeable spot in town. It has gorgeous buildings from an old train station complex built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This complex includes museum, park areas, fountains, fast food, real ancient trains, etc. But the place lacks of activities all around the place that engage the visitors or heritage inside its historical buildings. Anyways... This is an obligated stop in town.
Nice area to chill with family, friends, or a significant other. Weekends there are vendors where you can purchase food, trinkets, souvenirs and more.
Great place to visit, cultural, relaxing. It has a small but very interesting museum.

This place is the best!!! The food is great and the shopping is what you would expect in Mexico. There a lot of little trinkets and typical Mexican clothes and toys etc. And the people are just so welcoming! We went for the food and the guys were such hams hahaha they kept flattering us.

Restaurante La Estación is a traditional Mexican restaurant located in the historic area of Aguascalientes. This is a quaint destination known for its breakfasts. This has a country decore and has ample room for large groups. The food is a bit pricey but portion size make up for it. The food is tasty and the service is excellent. If you don't like your order they will gladly take it back. Overall an excellent option when visiting the old train station.

This place is a nice Mexican restaurant serving a variety of Mexican dishes. I went here with office colleagues for a lunch and we started with Guacamole with chips, queso and tortillas while our food arrived. And then for my main dish I tried tamale which is a steamed cake made of maize flour, nopal con panella which is a type of cactus quite used in Mexican cooking along with panella cheese - a type of cheese whose texture is quite similar to cottage cheese and Chile Relleno - Chilli stuffed with cheese and then deep fried. Overall a good place with nice Mexican ambiance in the town.
Your experience starts with coffee or juice quickly followed by sweet pastries of several varieties. Breakfast is served hot and delicious with yet another choice of fresh baked breads. I tried a locals suggestion of cheese and chicken enchiladas. Several fresh salsa options are available with your meal from basic to a little spicy. I got a little excited and took a bite of the chicken enchilada before my photo. It arrived looking and smelling so delicious I couldn't wait to dig in. You should expect this restaurant to by busy on the weekend.
Worst service ever, we visited from abroad and we were used to bring friends and clients to this place and then visit the station. We will never come back. The service was not good at all. We had a service dog and we they refused service, even if we provided all the documentation. I would not recommend this place at all.

We had excellent service from our server, but unfortunately, the attitude from the owner/general manager was disappointing. This was our first visit, and we were hoping for a more welcoming experience.

Very beautiful and upscale restaurant with a large menu. Our party of 10 tried many different items on the menu, which were all delicious. The dipped shrimp, roasted, octopus, San Carlos fish, the fillet in its juice, and guava-topped cheesecake were especially good. The staff was friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in Aguascalientes.

West side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the west side side of town. Start the day off with Jardín de San Marcos, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to Plaza de Toros Monumental de Aguascalientes. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Very beautiful plant life, a lot of birds and even a squirrel or two, got to visit during Feria de San Marcos, so it was packed, but it was a very enriching experience.
Good sized enclosed park, full of tall green, beautiful, luscious trees and plants of all kinds. Very unique place to listen to birds, see squirrels waking around, listen to relaxing music or reading. I've seen people jog around the perimeter. You definitely have to visit at least once in your life, it's worth the journey. All around here are fancy restaurants and fast food options with some of the best desserts too! While you're here, stop at the church right in front, it's also gorgeous😊

This is a very nice garden near the center of Aguascalientes, MX. Full of trees and singing birds. At night it is beautifully lit and many activities take place. A peaceful break from the hubbub of the city.

The Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption of Aguascalientes is a stunning Baroque-style cathedral, completed in 1738. It is built with elegant quarry stone pillars and features a blend of Neoclassical elements in its design. This place has been in the same location for over 300 years. The breakfast is excellent and very reasonably priced family of 10 ate for less that $120 usd.

Very disappointed with this place. It is falling apart! The food is just ok, nothing extraordinary. The waitresses were great! I hope they can take care of the building and better the food.
Beautiful old Mexican house, great location and delicious breakfast. Loved that they make everything fresh, on the spot in the kitchen in the back. Great café de olla too. If you get a chance visit the bakery next door.

Nestled in the heart of Aguascalientes, the Plaza de Toros Monumental de Aguascalientes is a stunning arena that first opened its doors in 1974. With a seating capacity for 9,000 spectators, this venue has undergone significant enhancements over the years and became part of the Expoplaza complex in 1992.
We attended a bullfight here. The spectacle and tradition was beautiful. We didn't love the killing of the bulls part, but we certainly left with respect for the skill, history and pageantry of the event.

Excellent! If you're into La Fiesta Brava, you must experience it at least once in your lifetime...
This is a historical tourist spot. Traditionally, bullfighting is the main show, but many concerts and theatrical acts have made their way here. Food and drink prices are higher inside the venue (like many places). The views are amazing.
I went during the 2023 Feria, Its an sport that is native to Spain and losing it popularity due to the cruelty to the bulls and horses that get gored.

Features excellent bull fights during the Feria. The event organisation is a bit iffy so actually finding a srat even with a ticket depends on arriving early.
As a Canadian I was never exposed to Bull fighting and did not know what to expect, that being said If you find yourself in Aguascalientes, you must take in the bull fights. You can not begin to understand the Mexican culture without experiencing its most belove traditional sport.

I visited here in Saturday and if you are looking for good pizza and wings, beers and live DJ's music, it is a perfect choice to go with your love one or friends.
I loved their menu, it looks different and it shows a lot of pizza flavors and also a good variety of drinks.
I tasted Dorito's pizza and buffalo's boneless pizza with regular size pizza (thin-crust); it was delicious!!!!
Also I tried Michelada of habanero (which is spicy as authentic Mexican Habanero taste) and Michelada "La Más Fresa" )
(which has natural strawberry) , both were fantastic!!!
Dj was too nice, then it feels like a party atmosfere here!!
The attendance was very good, all was served in less than 20min; it was really quick.
Prices also were reasonable, it was not too expensive.
About how to arrive here in car, we used the San Marcos Parking and it was too close, then, i strongly recommend the same.
After take your food and drinks you also can walk for Carranza street and come back to your car on the parking spot.
If you travel on taxi or Uber you also can walk from Lopez Mateos to this place and it is too near.

The bad - Mexican - restaurant I have ever gone. The waiters are very late.
I waited for an hour the food, and once I finished my tasteless drink I waited for more than a half hour for a limonade.
But when I asked for the bill, they were so fast to bring me the bill. And they demanded a minimum 20 - porcent tip from us
Pizzas are different than the typical ones, they were good, they made a mistake on the order and were very nice making it correct

Unforgettable experience from start to finish! I ordered the steak and shrimp, and watching it all cooked right in front of us added such a special touch—everything was perfectly seasoned and delicious. It was my birthday, and the staff went above and beyond: they surprised me with a free dessert and even brought out a sparkling firework candle that I got to hold! It was a very nice surprise. Haven't been in this place in a while, but the food was amazing, possibly the best cuts I ate in this visit to Ags. We were a party of 6 and ordered mollejas asadas and chorizo as entrees, then vacio, lomo, and churrasco to the center, with grilled vegetables to the side. Everything was cooked to perfection!
Service was superb. We were the last table to leave but never felt rushed.
Compared with other "top" meat restaurants in Ags, this was by far the best.

Semi-formal Argentinian steakhouse. The steak was phenomenal. Generous cut, cooked to order. Fantastic flavor. The appetizers were great as well. Portions were big enough that dessert was not a possibility.
Taste was good, menu options were also many, but service in the Smoking area was slow. Server was not having a good day and you can feel that when ordering. Quiet evening so there wasn’t a crowded group interrupting. Would come back but too many options in the same area.
It is way overpriced, there are many better options even around the same area, the steaks where edible but not great, you can easily skip it, nothing memorable.. I wont eat there again
