The Museo José Guadalupe Posada, located in the heart of Aguascalientes next to the El Encino temple, is a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts. This extensive gallery showcases over 600 pieces including original plates and prints from the iconic artist's collection. Visitors can admire Posada's famous macabre lithographs and learn about his profound influence on Mexican culture.
This place is a must for anyone who enjoys Mexican culture. You get to see first how Mexico was forged during the revolution. The staff is super nice and friendly. The price is 2 USD. So that is an amazing price for what you get.

Beautifully organized and displayed is the profound récord of Posada’s unique and profound achievements
David G — Google review
The museum was closed due to a religious event (the administrator told me that they weren't notified previously)
Marco S — Google review
Loved reading the articles and learning about the imprints of the late 1800s. Would definitely revisit to see more. Came with my child so reading was a challenge but they did have a "make your own imprint" section that is interesting for both.
A. G — Google review
Awesome history about Jose Guadalupe Posada the creator of La Catrina and lots of pictures he had carved on 1800s, excellent attention from the staff and special services !!!
Alpha H — Google review
I don't know who it is, but I went to see it because I'm a Mexican art painter, and it's an interesting place. This is also 10peso
Seung N — Google review
Very interesting museum with many examples of Posada's print work and the original stamps used. There was also a Goya exhibit with his usual intense social commentary--great for historical study. Highly recommend this museum. It's in a beautiful park with other things to check out nearby.
Julia T — Google review
Lots and lots of plates and newspaper/postcards/bulletins by Posada. Also has a workshop for artists to make their own prints (I think). For fans of Posada, this is a must-see!

The Regional History Museum Aguascalientes, established in a 20th-century house, showcases the historicist architecture of the time. It offers a glimpse into the history of Aguascalientes through various exhibits and artifacts. The museum features limited but intriguing displays, including a temporary exhibit on pre-Hispanic civilizations from the area. Visitors can explore four different rooms dedicated to the local history and marvel at a giant dinosaur skeleton.
Very entertaining ,very friendly people seniors go in for free
Maria F — Google review
Beautiful building, old and has history in itself. There is a charge of about $100 pesos which is a lot for how little art there is. There are about 4 different rooms devoting the history within Aguascalientes which is very beautiful. They have a giant dinosaur skeleton which is super cool! There are also other offices within the museum which is odd. There is no flash photography (standard museum rules). I would recommend this museum.
Humberto J — Google review
It was a pleasant experience. At the time of my visit it was $20 pesos entry and there was only one exhibit spread across three large rooms.
Eric B — Google review
Horrible service. I’m not sure when they started with a program that has septuagenarian neighbors as security guards but they do now and they turn your visit into an unpleasant trip. They kept following me and making hand gestures, as warning gestures whenever I went to different areas of the building. I mean, come on, I had my camera and was just there to take photos, how was I a treat? I got so fed up that I cut my visit short. I’ve been to the most important museums in the country and has never been treated in such a rude way. In addition to that, almost all of the artifacts are replicas. I don’t like talking bad about my own state and it’s services, but that was horrible.
Jesus L — Google review
Limited but interesting exhibits. The old building is wonderful and worth the visit.

The National Museum of Death, located in Aguascalientes, offers a distinctive perspective on the concept of death. It presents various representations and images related to Mexican traditions and beliefs about death. The museum showcases a diverse collection inherited from Mexican painter Octavio Bajonero Gil, featuring traditional and contemporary manifestations of death such as papel picado and sugar skulls.
The best musuem of this kind, about death, skulls, corpses, graves, momias, ghosts, vampires, killers, tortures. They have bones and skulls, so much art displays, pictures, sculptures, ceramic, masks, figurines real size and miniature, interactive. I didn’t expect that I could spend 2 hours wandering there. Besides it’s a very Antigua building. It's a gem, must visit.
Connie W — Google review
Death becomes us. The National Museum of Death located in downtown Aguascalientes is a must visit. First of all, its free. Secondly, the collections are amazing. Sugar skulls, to film, to print to MesoAmerica artifacts to paintings and drawings. There was even a special event today that we got to partake in. The gift shop was closed but overall a great way to beat the heat and see how Mexico embraces death.
Charles F — Google review
This museum is like Dr. Who's TARDIS, much bigger inside than it looks on the outside. There are many sections with tons of fascinating artifacts and artwork. Just when you think you've seen everything, you find more galleries. My favorite was the pre-Colombian room, wish they had more of those ancient artifacts actually.
Casey — Google review
The first experience is to walk (carefully) down a dim staircase to a sort of catacomb, which sets a tone for the entire museum, and where one gets a sense of the archeological finds in Mexico. The above-ground galleries feature various art media and cultural artifacts related to death, the devil, angels, and the afterlife. The art evokes multiple adjectives: striking, provocative, humorous, troubling. The totality can be overwhelming; I do wish there were benches in the galleries to allow a visitor some time to sit and reflect a few moments or just to clear one's mental palate for the next room.
Sissima S — Google review
A necessary visit to understand the relationship of Mexicans with Death. Numerous objects collected from different time. Some panels explaining what were/are the beliefs about Death. Some analysis of the treatment of Deaths in newspapers. You will see many skulls and many representations of the Death. It did relax my view on the matter.
Xavier P — Google review
Highly recommend to visit this wonderful museum near centro if you have the time. It's filled with beautiful art spanning hundreds of years. The folks who work there are helpful and kind as well.
Mara H — Google review
As Mexicans we are pretty aware of death, we embrace it, we celebrate not death perse, but life to live and death as a final stage of our existence on this world.Athos museum is certainly a collection of feelings, life stories and people portayed through history, definitely a place to visit and envision the art and work from Aguascalientes and Mexico. I'm putting 4 stars as there is no English translations on the articles.

Jardín de San Marcos is a serene oasis nestled in the heart of Aguascalientes, offering a peaceful escape from the city's vibrant energy. This green space features winding pathways, charming benches, and a picturesque gazebo near the Temple of San Marcos. Visitors can explore diverse plant species, beautiful flowers, and intriguing trees while enjoying the garden's tranquil ambiance. The park also hosts public events around its central fountain and provides an ideal setting for leisurely strolls or quiet contemplation.
Beautiful large gardens, very tranquil. Church outside, plaza del todos. Restaurants, cafes and shops across the road. Perfect spot to spend a few quiet hours.

Very beautiful plant life, a lot of birds and even a squirrel or two, got to visit during Feria de San Marcos, so it was packed, but it was a very enriching experience.
Gabriel G — Google review
Good sized enclosed park, full of tall green, beautiful, luscious trees and plants of all kinds. Very unique place to listen to birds, see squirrels waking around, listen to relaxing music or reading. I've seen people jog around the perimeter. You definitely have to visit at least once in your life, it's worth the journey. All around here are fancy restaurants and fast food options with some of the best desserts too! While you're here, stop at the church right in front, it's also gorgeous😊

Museo Espacio is a contemporary art museum located in Aguascalientes, Mexico, housed in the historic carpentry workshop of the Tres Centuria railway complex. The museum showcases temporary exhibitions featuring diverse contemporary artistic expressions and works by both local and international artists. With its stylish and modern building, including glass-paneled floors and sleek interiors, it offers a cool collection of exhibits. Visitors can also enjoy the museum's living room and a cafe that serves affordable yet delicious food.
Arguably the largest museum venue in the state, features temporary expositions of high level at affordable costs, for instance recent expositions featured works from Dalí. It also features a living room and a coffee shop offering great food at accessible prices too. Its perimeter is a urban museum by itself, featuring the remainings of a large railway industry venue now reimagined into a public park.
Javier R — Google review
It's a great building. However, it is rare to find a great exhibition, and there is little promotion to know when there are new exhibits. Much of this great space is often simply empty. Someday maybe a contract can be made with an entrepreneurial enterprise that can bring in great exhibits. A big missed opportunity in Aguascalientes.
Byron C — Google review
This place is enormous, but it is missing exhibits. Beautiful area around it... like the public library
Fabiola D — Google review
Definitely one of the best museums in Mexico, a lot of art exhibitions from different artists and artisans, and Sundays they have cultural activities for the whole family, in every room they have people immersed in the work being exposed.

Instalaciones de La Feria de San Marcos is a significant cultural and recreational event in Mexico, drawing millions of visitors from around the world. The fair offers a wide range of activities and attractions for people of all ages. It's known for its vibrant atmosphere, organization, and security measures. While there are affordable options available, some visitors have noted that prices can be on the higher side. The fairgrounds provide an excellent setting for families to enjoy various entertainment options and delicious food offerings.
(Translated by Google) The atmosphere is pleasant if you like band music, and there's a wide variety of food and drinks (many people bring their own). There's a lot of security, so we never felt unsafe. It's busy until 8 or 9 p.m., but after that, it gets too crowded, making it difficult to navigate. With the crowds getting a little more lively, you just have to be a little more alert. There is an impressive variety of restaurants, bars and clubs, so there is no shortage of nightlife. The Monumental Bullring gives it a unique style. I definitely recommend the visit. (Translated by Google) It is full of police officers who keep the place quiet and although many people attend the FNSM the disturbances are few and added to the security of the place you can easily stay until dawn and have a great time. There is entertainment of all kinds from free concerts (every year they bring different artists of all genres so check the billboard), shows for children, exhibitions, food (affordable prices), games, stalls of all kinds (jewelry, makeup, perfume, etc.) and obviously alcohol (at a very good price), but depending on what you are looking for the FNSM will not disappoint you, since what it offers adapts to all tastes. Tip: I recommend that you NOT use the taxi service from the best place in the application because usually the costs in the taxi bases are very high and although the price is also raised in the app it is still more affordable compared to taxis.
