This is perhaps the most beautiful temple here in northern Bali. It's a bit hidden away from the beaten track, and that makes it so much more special. It's definitely worth the time to come here, do some prayers, and experience the oasis of serenity that is surrounding this religious place.

The vibrant offerings, the soft sound of the breeze through the trees, and the distant chants created a mesmerizing atmosphere. One of the best parts of visiting Pura Melanting was the journey itself—driving through quiet roads surrounded by nature before arriving at this hidden sanctuary. Whether you’re looking for a spiritual experience or just a peaceful retreat away from the crowds, this temple is definitely worth a visit. If you’re in the Pemuteran area, take the time to stop by Pura Melanting. It’s a place that stays with you long after you leave.

This is one of the most stunning temples I've been to in Bali, and by far the best value. We rocked up and made sure our shoulders were covered as per normal regs. As we approached the entrance we were approached and told we would need sarongs - previous experience here has told me someone is going to charge a fee or try to sell me an unwanted item. Nope, not at all, he just popped them on us in a friendly manner and shooed us towards the steps telling us to make a donation when we came back down! This friendliness and lack of asking for money is such a rarity in Bali - and to top it off, the temple is stunning. So many colours and decorations and dragons, and it's open - you are free to explore almost everywhere! When we came out we had questions and the same friendly gentleman answered them all and we were free to donate as well felt comfortable. It's a temple well worth visiting for the atmosphere and to see the beauty - or if you have a business you want to thrive (the speciality of this particular temple).

Underrated temple, go there ! We went there and just had to give a donation to get in, no fixed price. It was by far my favourite temple in Bali. No fake picture spots for insta girls, no tourists, only locals taking care of the place. Very authentic but still big and beautiful. Some monkeys and dogs are walking around but they are absolutely not aggressive, it's rather nice. I recommend going there for sunset, the colors are beautiful!

Beautiful temple and friendly people. They ask you for a small donation, but how much is completely up to you. The temple is quite the sight and is great for taking pictures. There are monkeys, but they are not the aggressive type that follows you. Just don’t get too close to them and they’ll just play around the temple.

Amazing clam place. Lovely to watch local Balinese people in the ceremonies and also to watch the cheeky monkeys try to come and steal the food being offered!

Clean ,serene temple in the west part of Buleleng . I found quite a bit different architecture compare to other Pura in most part Bali island

A stunning temple located at a cliff side near the ocean. The decoration mixes Balinese and Chinese influences. A lot of monkeys are roaming around so watch out for your belongings. You make a pay as you wish "donation" (average donation I saw was around 20-30K IDR/pax) and get a sarong and sash. You can take pictures in the temple. Me and my girlfriend we escorted by two Balinese kids with stick to protect us from the monkeys. The temple itself is very nice I highly recommend to visit it.

A must come & visit temple 🛕. It is right on the ocean/beach, so has a very special atmosphere. A few monkeys, but they were not interested in tourists 🐒 . Worth to vor here!

First time visit this temple even I have been to Pura Pulaki many time, Pura Pabean has very interesting location on the ocean in front of Pulaki, unique symbols inside and mysterious. I think I will visit this place again when I come back to Pulaki. Now we finished the visit to Pulaki and Pabean and going to visit Melanting.

Pulaki Temple is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit, right along the northern coast of Bali. What makes it really special is its location, which is set between the ocean and the hills, with lovely views of the water on one side and lush greenery on the other. The temple itself is impressive, with detailed carvings and a calm, spiritual atmosphere. There are also monkeys around the temple, which adds a bit of fun, but as always in Bali, it’s best to keep your belongings secure just in case. It was not crowded when we visited, which made it feel extra peaceful and easy to take in the surroundings at our own pace. Obviously it's also important to make sure to wear respectful clothing when entering the temple (like covering your shoulders and legs, or wearing a sarong), as this is a sacred place of worship. Dressing appropriately shows respect for the local culture and religious traditions, and is expected at all temples across Bali. Definitely worth a stop if you are exploring the north of Bali. It's a beautiful mix of nature, culture, and history in a really scenic spot.

An absolutely beautiful temple nestled into the cliffside. It really complements the environment around it rather than dominating it. We gave a donation to the priest and left our helmets with him to look after, then went inside for a look. It's truly stunning, maybe my favorite temple I've visited in Bali. The ambience is really special and you have 2 statues in a bit of rock jutting out into the water. The sunset was spectacular here.

Too many monkeys! They're aggressive. Be careful, keep your distance! The temple is nice.

Beautiful temple Beware of monkeys Secure your belonging, these monkeys are not friendly. You can hire local boys to secure your belonging when visit the temple, cost of 10k/person. Parking is not secure, most monkey loves to play on the car roof. Dont bring your luxurious car unless it insured. You may have scratches on your hoods or roof car. nothing you can do about this, they are wild animal. Be smart Parking cost 2k-5k its donation.

Great temple facing an amazing beach view 🏖 I felt like going through an attraction! #somuchemotion Those monkeys are no jokes though!! So be careful of what you bring when going there. Also, Park your scooter away from the temple if you don’t want them to mess with it.

Avoid this place... Ripped off big time. Flyers for Happy hour on the tables. Warm beer too, and when I went to pay instead of 35k the price was 45k, I was then told that there is no happy hour. They could clearly see I wasn't impressed. Instead of honouring the happy hour price, the staff just basically said tough luck. Most other bars down the street are all 35k for ice cold beer so why even bother coming here. Better service and they might have got 3 stars max. No wonder I was the only customer.

Our absolute favourite place to eat in Pemuteran. Not only the food is tasty, healthy and nourishing but the staff is just fantastic. They always greets us with smiles and excellent service. We’ve been coming for their delicious juices & smoothies, their great bowls and curries but also because is genuinely so nice to spend time in the restaurant. Brilliant place for breakfast lunch or dinner, or anything in between. We ate here several times during our stay in Pemuteran, each time the food was delicious, the service friendly. The vibe is also lovely. We tried a whole range of dishes, loved the poke bowl, burger and were blown away with a serving of local food for two: balinese beginning.

The smoothie bowl is absolutely delicious! The base is creamy and refreshing, with the perfect balance of natural sweetness. Topped with fresh fruits, crunchy granola, and a drizzle of honey, it’s not just healthy but also super satisfying. Each bite feels like a burst of flavor and nutrition. As for the salad, it’s a true winner! Fresh, crisp vegetables paired with a light and flavorful dressing make it so enjoyable. The ingredients are clearly high quality, and the portion size is just right. It’s the perfect choice for a light, healthy, and tasty meal. Highly recommend both if you’re looking for something fresh and nourishing!

So good we ate here each of the 3 days we were in Permuteran. Food is super fresh, drinks are delicious and the staff are friendly. We tried a variety of the bowls between us and also the chicken schnitzel burger, all were delicious. Lots of gluten free and vegetarian options too!

This place is the best we have had in Bali. Karin, the part-owner, is so kind! The food was delicious. We stayed in Pemuteran for 5 days and ate here 8 times. One of the best parts about the menu is that they cook high quality classic Balinese and other food from around the world. A great variety to choose from! The atmosphere is also amazing, and we loved coming to the Sage every day of our visit.

Pemuteran is the north west village that punches above its weight with culinary/food quality. I have not had a bad meal in this town. I’ve tried at least half a dozen places so far, and everyone is putting love and care into the preparation and presentation of the meals they are serving, from the small Warungs to the western style restaurants. And in spotless venues. The Sage particularly is world class standard, for westerner focused cuisine. Not just good food, but great food. In my home town of Sydney Australia, a place as good as The Sage would get rave reviews. Order anything you want off the menu, you will not be disappointed. Also, they can home deliver, if you call them via WhatsApp. They’re really quick and efficient.

We ate here3 times during our holiday, and every single time was amazing. The only things that i would change is that it is besides a very busy road. We tasted a lot of things and liked everything. We recommend everything with tuna, especially the avocado stuffed with spicy tuna!

Stunning food in a roadside warung. Some might grumble about the road noise, but you come here for food, right? Exceptional food, and not always the usual favourites. The Shrimp and Pomelo Salad is so good, we came three nights in a row, and I ordered it each time! The Mushroom Crispies are a perfect partner, though one night I ordered the Mushroom Sate, which was almost equal. Nasi Campur Fish to die for. Tempeh/Tofu curry, Kang Kung… and there are great desserts! Honestly, I'm sure this is the best food in the town, up there with the best on the island.

We had the best food here and it was unbelievable cheap!! The ceviche, tuna and prawns were of very high quality and we really enjoyed the meal. The ambience was very nice as well, so I really recommend the place!

We tried Warung Setia because it is located near our place. Surprisingly the taste is so good and the price is fair enough. Their sashimi is a top notch! it is so fresh! My husband ordered fish and chips and I believe their chips are homemade, the cut and the taste of it is amazing. You should definitely try this warung when you visit Pemecutan area.

Stunning food - the best we’ve had in Bali so far. Beautiful fresh fish and the pork ribs and satays were absolutely delicious! The staff are attentive and gracious, providing excellent service. A pick up and drop off at our villa just topped off the evening. We cannot think of a single thing you can do to improve the dining experience!

We did an Indonesian cooking workshop at the Frangipani restaurant. Putu picked us up at our our resort (very) early in the morning to go to the market for the ingedients. After explaining all the ingredients at the market, we went off to the restaurant and started cooking. After hours of preparing and cooking, we had a delicious (well deserved) lunch. Highly recommended! Thank you Putu.

The food was excellent and fresh with lovely sauces. Staff very nice. Location in side street from main road so no noise of traffic passing buy. Very reasonable prices. 1 dish was totally different from what I expected from the menu and I could change it for something else. Was even taken back by their car to my hotel , because it was raining. Really a place to go back to

The seats upstairs are very nice, the breeze is much appreciated. Despite their being only one other family we had to wait almost an hour for our food - but it was worth it! The chicken skewers were fantastic. Definitely worth a visit, just make sure you bring enough time.

Lovely setting. Very friendly staff. Good range of meals and drinks. Main meals were nice but not that different to quality to nearby places but the black rice and snakefruit dessert was hands down best dessert ..and possibly best dish.. have had in Bali.

Went there because of the smoothie bowl option. Not the cheapest place in town but a nice backyard that was great for a dinner experience. Once in the place we also had some tomato pasta which was totally fine and a grilled fish (tuna), that could have done with some shorter grill time. Smoothie was certainly nice! Dinner for 2 for 170.000 RP was ok, but we have had dinners for less than half of that. Definitely recommend though!

german-styled bakery which we accidentaly found in pemuteran. the place seems small from the outside, but it has a spacious backyard. the cakes are delicious and not too pricey. they also offer gluten-free menu, for those who wants to keep their healthy lifestyle whilst stay here. :)

Delicious fresh cakes, food, and refreshments… large garden seating space behind, with lots of nice lunch and dinner options too! A great place to stop at the heart of Pemuteran. They have very nice accommodation options. Very helpful and welcoming team. Conveniently located near ATM and many nice things to do nearby. Thank you Ibu Ketut and Pak Ketut. Highly recommended !

I had the best coffee in Pemuteran here. An owner even opened the cafe earlier so I could get some breakfast before my trip - much appreciated!

We had coffee stop here, we ordered cappuccino 2 shot because the quantity of coffee is very little and they charge us 60k for eatch cappucino, thw coffee was nothing special and even withput water. This the prices are to much for the place it is.

Coffee is really good but it seems a bit expensive compared to the other place around (167000 for one cappuccino, one latte and two pieces of cake)

Really beautiful setting. Nice and spacious, really green ( full of plants). I got a margarita pizza but asked without cheese to make it vegan and got onions and garlic on top as it already came with Basil, turned it into a marinara. Really decent wood fired pizza. They have really nice chilly oil on the table. Full of good heat. The group liked their pizza too ( margarita and pepperoni)

We are from China. Usually, I leave reviews in Chinese, but it seems like most people here are friends from Western countries, so I'm using English to inform everyone. The restaurant is a bit dirty. We ordered a pizza and a serving of grilled pork ribs. The lighting in the restaurant was dim. When I took a bite of my ribs, I found a roasted fly stuck to the bone. It was even brushed with sauce, and I could vaguely see its wings still spread out—indicating that the fly must have flown into the sauce and ended up being brushed onto the ribs! That's why my table is empty now. I was about to take a photo, but the server quickly took the ribs away as soon as I picked up my phone. I can only share these few photos to warn friends here about the hygiene issues in this restaurant!

The staff were very nice — great service, just like everywhere in Bali. The food, however, was only okay. The pizza was fine for Indonesia, but we still miss the pizza from Europe. I think I’ll stick to Indonesian dishes while I’m here. The seafood skewers were grilled too long, making them quite dry, and the squid was very chewy. For my taste, there was also a bit too much garlic. And the Röstis weren’t crispy unfortunately. This review doesn’t sound all too good, but we still had a great time here. Maybe we just ordered the wrong dish. 🙂

La Casa Kita is one of my most favorite restaurants. The fish is especially fresh and my favorites include: seafood kebab, La Casa Coco Tuna, lasagna, pizza, and anything up on the special board…especially the seafood platter. It’s my go-to for pasta, pizza, and fresh fish cooked to perfection. The portions are generous and it’s one of the few restaurants that offers a choice of starches with mains. The staff is always friendly, helpful and well trained. It’s always a nice experience to eat here and we choose it regularly.

My favourite place in Pemuteran! Great food and very fast service! Cap cay was best I ever had in Bali. Delicious pizza as well, stone baked. And I love the relaxing atmosphere, so much greenery!

We just had a super tasty lunch at this lovely little family-run spot. The owner was really warm and friendly, and the beers were ice cold! We started with lumpia, then had mixed satay and grilled prawns for mains. Everything was delicious. Really happy we stopped here!

Super nice staff and very cute warung off the main road (so no traffic noise). We got the mixed sate and Kare ayam (chicken curry) and went back a second time to have it again.

Super cute and tasty restaurant off the main road, with a typical Bali atmosphere. We had the chili garlic shrimp special, which was awesome!

The food is fresh and very delicious, good potion, especially the steam fish! They also dealt with my friend’s special dietary request very well. We came back the next day for lunch. The family that owns this place is so sweet, it’s sad to hear that we were the first customers since they reopened one week ago...hope they get more business soon!!
