Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
Pura Tirta Empul, situated in the Manukaya Village of Tampaksiring, Gianyar, is a significant Hindu temple in Bali known for its holy spring water used for ritual purification. The temple features a bathing area where Balinese Hindus partake in ceremonial purification processes such as melasti and melukat. Tourists are also drawn to participate in these purifying rituals.
If you’re coming here hoping for a deeply personal or spiritual experience, set your expectations low. This isn’t the serene, slow-paced temple energy you might crave. It’s more of a tightly managed, highly commercialized procession — with ancient roots and modern hustle sitting a little too close together. Here’s the rundown: • You pay at the gate. Then again for sarong rental. Then again if you want a locker. Then again if you want a guide. It’s not the cost that stings — it’s the constant drip of transactions that chips away at the sacredness of the space. • The purification ritual is supposed to be deeply spiritual. But with tourists queuing in wet clothes for photos and GoPros bobbing beside prayerful locals, it starts to feel like a water-themed group tour, not a moment of personal reflection. • The temple grounds are still beautiful. But it’s hard to access that beauty when you’re being ushered, timed, and layered in expectation. What works well: • The system is organized. You’re led where you need to go. No confusion. • The water is cold. Like, shock-you-into-the-moment cold. At one point I felt like I was just another fish in the tank — which, depending on your mindset, could be poetic or ridiculous. • There are locals who come here for real spiritual reasons, and I respect that deeply. But they’re navigating the same tourist waves you are. The takeaway: If you’re curious, it’s worth trying once. Just don’t expect quiet revelation. This isn’t a temple that meets you with stillness. It meets you with a schedule. For some, it might still land. For me, it missed the mark — not because it lacks meaning, but because the meaning feels buried under layers of commerce and crowd control. And the sellers here has a way of ripping you off by overpriced items lol. Going here is so traffic as well

Pura Tirta Empul is one of the most spiritual and culturally rich places to visit in Bali. Located near Tampaksiring, this beautiful water temple is famous for its holy spring water, where locals and visitors come to perform purification rituals. The moment you enter, you can feel a calm and sacred atmosphere that immediately connects you to Balinese spirituality and tradition. The temple complex is stunning — surrounded by lush greenery and traditional architecture that reflects Bali’s deep cultural roots. The highlight, of course, is the purification pool with its clear running water sourced from the sacred spring. Visitors can join the locals in the ritual, washing away negative energy and seeking blessings. The experience feels truly special and peaceful, especially when you follow the proper ritual steps with the help of local guides. The staff and guides are friendly and respectful, explaining the meaning behind each step, so you understand the spiritual significance of what you’re doing. You can rent sarongs at the entrance, which are required to enter the temple grounds. Overall, visiting Pura Tirta Empul is not just about sightseeing — it’s about connecting with the Balinese way of life and spirituality. A must-visit for anyone looking to experience the authentic heart of Bali.
Dikendra G — Google review
A beautiful and culturally rich place to visit. The temple is peaceful, with sacred water pools and colorful koi fish everywhere, which makes the atmosphere very unique. It’s a great opportunity to discover Balinese traditions and spiritual rituals. It can be a bit crowded, but it’s definitely worth experiencing another culture. الحمد لله على نعمة الإسلام ☪️
Mariem Z — Google review
This was a very beautiful temple. They have the option to partake in the purification ritual (you need special tickets for this, and it can be a very long line). It is very nice to explore and walk around the beautiful temple. There is also a number of local vendors as you exit.
Constantine J — Google review
One of the most unforgettable moments in Bali was visiting Pura Tirta Empul, the famous temple of holy spring water. Surrounded by mountains and mist, the air here feels different — calm, sacred, and ancient, as if time itself slows down in respect. Locals and travelers alike come here to purify themselves in the crystal-clear spring water that flows through the stone fountains. Each stream represents a prayer — for health, peace, forgiveness, and blessings. Watching people line up to step into the cold water, one by one, reminded me how universal hope and faith can be, no matter where we come from. Sometimes, travel isn’t just about seeing new places, it’s about cleansing your heart in silence and rediscovering a sense of balance within yourself.
Wayne S — Google review
Beautiful and Sacred spritual place. Known for Holy Water, melukat and pray. Calm, pure, full of positive energy and Balinese culture. You can join water blessing too for Rp. 10K and locker for Rp. 15K. Ticket for Rp. 50-75K. Huge parking lot. Allocate 1.5-2 hours extra time if you want to melukat. Wear appropriate outfit. Would be better if the toilets are maintained and equipped better.

Out of the world architecture of Purs Tirta Empul in Bali. We were told to get the sarong and tie it on our waist in a right way, since that is the way one can enter only. ( I loved following this respect, which needed to be given). It was worth every bit of our time and effort to get to see this place ourselves.
Neeru D — Google review
I visited this famous Tirta place in Bali during my visit in October 2025. I was completely awestruck with this spot. It is believed that dip in this holy spring chill water will relax ones nind body and bring inner peace by cleansing. There are about 13 outlets in the first pond. It's advised that dip in 11 th and 12th outlet is for those who have finished death ceremony of their loved ones only. So travellers are advised not to take a dip in these two outlets in the first pond. After completing first pind one has to step out and move to second poola where there are about 6 outlets and then move to third poola. In the third pool also dip is suggested in only one outlet. For having dip in this holy thirta you have to cover with their green cloth available for rent of IDR 10000. One can see water bubbling out naturally from the bigger pond next to this bathing spot. The excess spring water is flowing out to maintain the level here.Defintely it's a must visit place. Please carry towel and inner garments to enjoy this holy dip. Locker facility is available. Guides are available who will assist in taking your photo while you take a dip in this holy thirta

Big Garden Corner in Denpasar is a must-visit for nature lovers. The beautifully landscaped sculpture garden features a diverse collection of stone sculptures set amidst lush green grass and vibrant blossoms. Visitors can relax at the on-site restaurant offering traditional Balinese cuisine. Families can enjoy various recreational activities, including a playground and a butterfly garden. This tranquil oasis offers shaded walkways lined with tropical plants, life-size representations of Hindu gods, and Balinese icons like Barong and Rangda.
Stumbled upon this spot while looking to fill the day—and what a surprise it turned out to be! We hired a private driver and spent around 1.5 hours soaking up the charm of this tucked-away treasure. The gardens are lush and dreamy, dotted with interactive sculptures that practically beg for a photo-op: sit inside a bird’s nest, swing in a twiggy heart chair, or brave the hanging nest chair hovering over the water—if you’re feeling bold! Staff were friendly, and the place has a few toilets (always a win). Entry was 150K IDR and included a tasting of honey and three tea/coffee samples. The honey, from tiny Sumatran bees, was tangy and runny—very different from what you’d expect from bumblebee honey. The lady was so kind and even offered us two tastes, which felt really generous. Tea and coffee tastings came in dainty espresso-sized cups. I tried Bali cocoa, coconut coffee, and vanilla coffee—the vanilla was my fave, smooth and fragrant. Extra delights? You can hold a snake or lizard with a donation box nearby (pay what you wish), and there’s a small water park plus a climbable treehouse for the kids. It doesn’t pop up often on the usual tourist trail, but it should. I absolutely recommend it for a gentle adventure with pockets of play and nature.

It is a beautiful and peaceful park to go for a walk through. When we arrived they told us the splash park was closed (wasn’t on the website) We decided to still do it. There are some beautiful statues along the way you can get pics in or next too. There was heaps of mosquitoes we all had patch’s and spray on. We had a large family so took 2 prams, it was extremely hard to push with the rocks would recommend a carrier. Our ticket included honey tasting. We thought it would have been more than 1 tasting/spoon however it wasn’t. Overall was a nice park.
Justin K — Google review
Beautiful place to visit we were there for an hour but could of stayed a lot longer. Gardens are full of beautiful statues etc and have an animal interaction. There was a group of kids absolutely loving it while we were there.
Karin R — Google review
A great spot for a quiet and beautiful wander around some beautiful gardens with some fun sculptures, small water park and playground for the kids. We also got to interact with some reptiles. The kids enjoyed it a lot and I would say a must visit if you are in sanur.
Alicia D — Google review
A great place to just walk through if you want a chilled out day. There's a water park great for the kids. Some great places through out to take some really good photos. On the pricey end for something your just walking through, but worth it if your taking the kids for the water area.
Danny H — Google review
Lots to see and has a great splash park area for the kids to cool off in. Don't forget your bug spray as being a garden with water areas there are a lot of mosquito's. Worth the visit

A must try seafood dishes. Seafood Corner, just in the right side of the Big Garden entrance gate. Width parking, aircond room, as well as out door tables. Welldone grill kerapu fish and more. Fresh, great taste, nice serving.
Ida P — Google review
The place was not busy when i visited. Beautifully landscaped gardens. Perfect for a quiet stroll or hanging out with friends and family. I went there randomly and I didn't know that the ticket comes with free drinks and honey tasting. Sounds exciting but it's so sad I was not able to experience that. I just accidentally read it while writing this review. Nobody told me at the ticketing booth. No one bothered to explain what's included. She just processed my payment and handed me the receipt. So I thought it's just the admission fee. There are some spots that seemed neglected and needed attention. Entrance fee was quite expensive at 150,000 Rupiahs. 1 to 2 hours would be enough to go around the area.

Karang Beach is a picturesque white sand beach in Bali, located near Sanur. It offers a serene and clean environment with friendly beachside bars. The beach features daily free yoga classes at sunrise and provides various activities such as canoe and kayak rentals, cycling along the paved beach line, and light swimming in the shallow waters. Visitors can also explore a small manmade island with gazebos just offshore.
I spent several mornings at this relaxing beach. The waters are nice and blue. The beach itself is a little dirty. There were several cute dogs that laze around the area.

Every morning, the sky transforms into a stunning canvas of vibrant orange, pink, and purple hues, complemented by the silhouettes of traditional fishing boats. A truly magical and unforgettable experience!

Beach
Pantai Segara Ayu is a small and charming beach with white sand and numerous outriggers anchored just off the coast. While it can get crowded, especially compared to other parts of Sanur, it's a favorite spot for many due to its constant beauty. Visitors often come in the morning to catch the sunrise or later in the day for a relaxing time by the beach. The area offers various dining options, but parking can be challenging due to limited space on the one-way street.
Best place for jogging, enjoying sunrise, and biking. The beach is clean. Around 5-6pm, if you are lucky, you can see a wonderful view, mountain + beach
Alifa S — Google review
A wonderful experience! On one side, there’s a lively and scenic walking, cycling, and jogging path along Bali’s east coast—lined with everything from affordable eats to high-end restaurants and attractions. On the other side, a calm beach stretches out with views of what I believe are Mount Agung and Nusa Penida in the distance. You can rent a bike, go for a jog, enjoy upbeat beachside music, or simply unwind at one of the quieter spots. Absolutely loved this side of Bali!
Fuda F — Google review
Such a beautiful spot! I love riding my bike along the beach here it’s super chill and the views are amazing. You can rent a bike easily and it’s really affordable. I sometimes come at night too, and it feels calm and magical in a different way. The only downside is that it can get a bit crowded, especially during the day, so riding through can be a little tricky sometimes. But overall, totally worth it!
Cynaravalee — Google review
It was such a lovely beach where a lot of native people go swim or just soak themselves in the water. the wave is not so big on the shore so it's okay. I heard the sunrise is so great here but unfortunately it was cloudy when I went to see it. you can enjoy the lumpia (a lot of fried things from tempe, tofu, and spring rolls with sweet sauce) on the beach because a lot of women sell it there, the price is only 10K IDR. I asked one of the seller and she said she'd go to the beach around 2PM-10PM. there were a lot of food stalls in the area as well. and there was a concrete long path where you can do jogging or a walk (a lot of locals did this too), and you can also rent a bike here.

Today I saw this beach in different way. I discovered this beach different than before. The beach is beautiful with white sand and gently sea breeze. The surrounding is busy with resort and tourist activities yet locals are still welcome to come and sit on the beach and just pay parking ticket for IDR 2000,-. There are some options for food and drink: restaurants or local stalls. The area is very nice for biking. You can rent it from the hotels or local vendors.
N. D — Google review
Great beach to take your friends and family. Many food stands to buy snacks and soft drink. You can rent a bicycle here for IDR 15.000 and ride it along the beach. From this beach, you could also see the great mountain of Gunung Agung. The ticket to enter this beach is only IDR 2.000 for a motorbike and IDR 5.000 for car. It's totally free if you enter the beach by walking.

A fashion shopping center in the heart of Denpasar city, offering a complete selection of items with many choices, ranging from types to brands of clothing, pants, shoes, and even perfumes. It is recommended to check or ask the staff about discounts before making a purchase. Fitting rooms and restrooms are available on each floor. Overall, this place is highly recommended for clothing shopping.

Strategic place, comfort ambience, nice stuff and price. The one that not make satisfy is the staff. Plenty of workers, yet not helpfully. Instead of taking care of the customers, they were gossiping, talking with the others co-workers and no greetings at all.

Absolutely loved the food here. Everything was tasty. My favourite had to be the grilled salmon with hollandaise sauce, sooo crispy and flavourful salmon! Warung Beringin Panti's may not be the most visually appealing place, but its food is bursting with flavor. The Mie Goreng and Nasi Goreng are highly recommended, with generous portions of vegetables and chicken. It's a popular spot, so timing is crucial to secure a table. Despite its unassuming appearance, this local eatery offers delicious and affordable dishes like dry fried noodles and fruit juices made from fresh produce.
I went twice to this place and I was very happy to find this warung with delicious local food. The food is cooked fresh, the fruit drinks are from real fresh fruits and the prices are excellent. This isn't a tourist trap.

What this place lacks in looks it makes up in the flavour of it's food . Have been meaning to come here for years and tonite it was just the place for dinner . Timing is the key in getting a table as it gets busy ongoing. Went for the Mie Goreng , Nasi Goreng and the Ayam Sate. My Mie Goreng was outstanding , plenty of veges and chicken mixed in , it was one of the best I've had , my wife was the same with her Nasi Goreng. Ayam Sate was 10 sticks of goodness with the true sate sauce drizzled over the top with a bowl of steamed rice. We had 2 soft drinks , there was no tax , the you g girls that served us were very friendly and it only cost 110k... outstanding.

Fast food restaurant
McDonald's Sanur is a popular American fast-food chain in Bali, commonly found in tourist areas and malls. The restaurant offers a spacious second floor with ample seating and the option to order using kiosks in English or Indonesian. The menu features an interesting mix of food choices including Indonesian rice dishes, spicy chicken, beef hamburgers, and a lychee tea drink. It's a family-friendly spot with lots of families visiting, making it a bit loud but suitable for children.
McDonald’s Sanur is definitely one of the better McD branches I’ve visited in Bali. Whether you’re a tourist craving something familiar or a local looking for a quick bite, this place delivers on both convenience and comfort. First off, the location is great — easy to find on Bypass Ngurah Rai, with ample parking space. The building itself is spacious and clean, with two floors and plenty of seating. I love that they’ve made the upper floor smoke-free, so it’s nice for families or anyone who just wants a quiet place to eat or work. The air conditioning was cool and refreshing, especially on a hot Bali afternoon. The service was pretty efficient. I ordered using the self-order machine near the entrance, which is a nice touch for tech-savvy customers, though I did notice a few tourists struggling a bit with the interface. The staff were friendly and quick to assist when needed, even if their English was basic. My order came out within 10 minutes, and everything was hot and fresh. What makes this McD a bit special is the local twist on the menu. Besides the usual favorites like Big Macs and fries, they also serve ayam goreng (spicy fried chicken), nasi uduk, and sometimes even bubur ayam in the morning. I tried the spicy fried chicken set with rice, and it was honestly better than I expected — crispy, juicy, and with just the right amount of heat. They also had seasonal drinks and desserts like the Avocado McFlurry and Leci Tea, which felt perfect for Bali’s tropical vibe. A nice change from the usual! There’s also a small kids’ play area and even a few seats shaped like Happy Meal characters, which adds a fun touch if you’re visiting with children. The place was clean and well-maintained, including the bathrooms, which I think is a big plus. Overall, McDonald’s Sanur is a reliable and pleasant spot for a quick meal. It’s not just a fast-food stop — it’s a comfortable place to rest, recharge, and enjoy familiar food with a local twist. I’ll definitely be back!

I tried the spicy fried chicken. Some of the best spicy fried chicken I have ever had. If you’re in Bali the spicy fried chicken is a most try!

The place is properly maintained but the utensils given had chocolate stains. The food is seasoned and coofed well.

The front lobby may seem small but the upstairs seating area is very spacious. I love to option to order and have your food delivered to your table upstairs. As with most international McDonalds there are unique offering and worth popping in especially if you have a kid who has been away from home for months and just wants some nuggets from McDs.

Ordered from GrabFood: I added a note for 3 packets of sugar for my coffee, got 1 instead. My Beef Burger Deluxe supposed to include medium size fries as in medium portion, but got served small portion instead. What a waste.
Aldo S — Google review
Great location in a really architecturally interesting building. The service was good and fast, food was delivered to table using numbering system. They had kiosks to order and all the food came hot. Check out our channel for a full review of our experience: Hungry Two Travel.

As a foreigner, I'm tired to don't have any other choice in Indonesia tobut to get only chili sauce. So hard to get tomato sauce and impossible to get mayonnaise. I have stopped ordering from there as they never complied with my order and never put tomato sauce. Don't you realise not everyone like chili sauce???
Cedric D — Google review
Clean and nice. Faster than usual service compared to Other restaurants. Spacious parking space. Expensive rice 🙈. Good food. “Cool” place—good ventilation. We just hope that there’s an option to order with a person not just digital.

Restaurant
Parisi French Cuisine is a charming restaurant located in Nusa Dua, offering authentic French flavors and a unique menu. The aged steak is particularly flavorful, and the escargots, chicken liver pate, and tuna tartare are also highly recommended. The freshly baked bread served with the starters adds to the freshness of the dining experience. Guests praise the good service and appreciate the care taken by staff members like Ayu who provide excellent recommendations.
Love this cozy restaurant. Delicious, honest French food. Worth every penny. The service staff are always so welcoming and friendly. We look forward to having a meal here every time we're in Sanur.
Freda A — Google review
Potato gratin is our favourite dish despite being a little more sweet than savory, possibly due to the milk or cream. Caserolet de Lemar portion was decent but the prawn and squid didn't taste particularly fresh. Also the tuna was kinda tough. Chocolate fondant has a great lava center and the sweetness was just right. However the chocolate sponge was not moist and fluffy enough.

We are staying in Sanur for 6 nights and this place is a minute walk away from our accommodation, so far we have been 4 times! What a find on this side of the Bypass. We have enjoyed everything we have eaten here, extensive menu with deep wonderful flavours. We have eaten dinner here twice and breakfast twice. Highlights beef bourguignon so hearty, so delicious both husband and I loved this, had amazing desserts too. Breakfast - great variety to choose from Berry Bliss smoothie a highlight as well as the chocolate croissant (which you would expect!). If you are over this side staying we would highly recommend coming for any meal, lovely friendly staff, good coffee too. Nothing negative to say. Options to sit inside in the A/C, out front watching the world go by or at the back in their garden setting. Very well priced.

Amazing French food, simpel but sophisticated delicious ! My starter a salad with warm French goat cheese and oeufs dûr mayonaise, absolute favoriete. Even the homemade mayonaise, was exactly like in Paris, restaurant near Gare St Lazare, took me back to 1974 ! Followed by an absolute great main course and my profiterolles were so fresh, I very much recommend this French restaurant !

Italian restaurant
Ice cream shop
Located in the heart of Sanur, Massimo Italian Restaurant is a rustic, chef-owned eatery celebrated for its delectable homemade pastas and pizzas. The restaurant boasts a charming ambiance with three distinct areas: a garden with lush tropical greenery, a spacious indoor seating area, and an air-conditioned section for maximum comfort. As you approach the entrance, you'll be greeted by an enticing display of homemade gelato featuring an impressive array of 48 flavors.
I had lunch at Massimo Pizzeria in Sanur and tried their Diavola pizza. it was genuinely very good, with a nice balance of spice and flavor. I’d rate it 8/10 for taste. The crust was light and crispy, and the ingredients tasted fresh. Service was a bit on the slow side, especially considering the place was kinda empty, but the staff were friendly and polite once they came around. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, definitely one of the better value options in Sanur if you’re craving proper Italian pizza. Overall, a solid spot for pizza lovers, worth a visit, especially if you’re not in a rush. 🍕🇮🇹
Filippo C — Google review
Stopped by Massimo’s in the afternoon for ice cream and were impressed by the amaretto & tiramisu flavours — creamy, rich, and full of flavour. Note that you pre-order and pay at the register before collecting your ice cream, which keeps things flowing smoothly despite the crowds. Later in the evening, we returned for dinner with a booking. The experience began with complimentary dough balls, which were a nice touch. We shared the Chef’s Selection for our entrée — a generous variety of deli items that paired well together. For mains, we opted for a pizza. The base was beautifully crisp and the flavours worked well, though we found the burrata cheese on top a little overpowering for the rest of the ingredients. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The restaurant itself is very open-air, with plenty of fans but no air-conditioning — something to keep in mind if you’re sensitive to the heat.
Bella B — Google review
A pleasant meal and super professional staff. Even a check back part way through eating to see all was well. The food was very good, but; pizza base a little greasy like a pan fry. The topping (vegetarian) was excellent, but the cheese lacked flavour and the tomato base while fully tomato lacked the subtle Italian flavours of garlic and basil. The vegetarian lasagna was nice, but heavy and claggy. Perhaps interleaving some potato would have helped. Garlic bread excellent. Prices fair. Would still recommend.

Very affordable price in the busy area of sanur. And the taste is good. They have so many flavors, I try 3 of them and all are good 🤤 There are so many gelato in Bali, but Massimo is the cheapest one I guess, but the taste is really good. But unfortunately they have pistachio only on weekend 🙃🙃 Worth to try

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve been to Massimo Gelato many times, and everyone here always does a great job. But this time, I want to especially appreciate Oca (the lady with glasses) because her character really stands out. There’s a way she carries herself that goes beyond good service. She doesn’t just serve, she does it with love, and when someone works with love, you can feel it.. Oca made the experience unforgettable. She’s always smiling in a way that feels genuine, not routine. When my brother asked for toppings, she added them with a full smile and playful gesture that made the moment fun. When it was my turn, she carefully asked if I had any allergies and even explained that one of the flavors had alcohol, making sure I was okay with it. That little extra care might seem small, but it showed how much she loves what she does, and because of that, we received it as more than service, we received it as kindness. These are small details, yet they carry so much weight. Because in that moment, I realized it wasn’t just gelato we received, it was care, attention, and kindness. Everyone at Massimo does a great job, but Oca’s way of serving stands out. She shares an energy that lifts the entire place, reminding us that the simplest gestures can change how a day feels. I walked out not only with gelato in hand but with a smile that stayed much longer. And that’s why I’ll keep coming back, and bring my friends too, because service done with love is something rare, and Oca makes it shine.

Best gelato with affordable price. Legendary Italian resto in Bali. The foods really good, we tried classic tiramisu and tiramisu panettone, both are good. Pizza was fine and coffee compareable with other coffee shop ;) everytime going to sanur, Massimo is a must!

Massimo Italian Restaurant is an amazing place! The entire vibe and atmosphere instantly transport you straight to Italy. The food is outstanding, and we were very impressed with the quality of the Italian classics like the spaghetti and pizza. Surprisingly, we also tried the Indonesian food and found it to be absolutely the best—a must-try! The experience was made even better by the warm service, especially from Ms. Ayuk, who greeted us with such a polite and lovely smile. Thank you for a truly wonderful day! Our second and last visit. Ms. Ayu Sri was the queen of the place. Disturbing her smile and ensuring with the customer everything is well with them. We are lucky because she was our waitress for today. Thanks for her efforts.

Stumbled upon this place and stopped because we were too tired to walk any further…and we’re so glad we did!!! It’s a great little place, really good vibes, and the staff are great-attentive, friendly and cheerful 😁 THE FOOD ❤️ the food was great-we only had a couple of items, and we loved them! We had the crumbed calamari-it was nice and thin and had a good crunch. My only complaint was that it kind of didn’t taste like much? But add some lime and it was perfect thanks! 🤩 we also had the trio tacos 🌮 one is chicken/beef and fish..with a nice little salad mix, on soft tacos. The flavour (esp the crispy fish!!!) was delicious! We ordered another set, they were that good 😁❤️

What a pleasure. Stopped here by chance. Had the Wagyu Burger. Tasty, cooked well, nicely constructed with fries. Sapo Thai was the other dish. Huge, full of vegetables and egg Tofu. Impressive. Drinks cheap. Lovely service from great staff and a perfect beach front location.. highly recommended..

Food - mie Goreng, chicken Peanut satay, rendang and nasi campur absolutely delish. Service - friendly, happy staff. Very polite and accommodating. Good English. Priced well. Atmosphere - great location, nice and quiet. Came at lunch time and is a busy little spot. Also walked past at dinner time, same again. Gets busy. If you want a good seat close to the front and out along near the water then you must book. Very popular bustling spot. Great to sit and relax and even people watch.

Visited here whenever we were near Sanur. Best tenderloin steak and pork ribs I've eaten in Bali, and maybe even anywhere. Very clean, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Nachos are delicious, so too we're the croquettes. Definitely recommend eating here.

Had read and heard great things about La Playa Cafe, it’s a fantastic location on the beach and atmosphere is amazingly relaxing. Great selection of food at very reasonable prices. $15 Aud for a rack of pork ribs that were tasted great and falling off the bone, stick to the local food dishes as a they are always amazing. Pizza and pasta were ok but save these for the speciality places. We’ll worth checking La Playa out even if it’s just for a cocktail in the beach 🏖️
Heath — Google review
La Playa in Sanur is beachfront dining at its finest. With stunning views over the beach and ocean, it’s got that dreamy, laid-back island vibe that makes you want to cancel all your plans and stay all afternoon.☀️🌊👙 Sure, prices are a bit higher than your average Bali spot, but honestly…totally worth it for the setting and experience 😊 Now let’s talk about the lasagna…hands down the best I’ve ever had in my life 😍 Rich, cheesy, perfectly baked layers of magic. I’ve already been back twice just for that dish, and I’m not ruling out a third (or fourth). If you’re looking for a chill spot with incredible food and front-row seats to paradise, La Playa’s your place. Pro tip: get the lasagna and thank me later. 🏖️🍝🌅

Such a great spot to chill and work! I ordered Dada I Am, Mango Smoothie, and Burnt Cheesecake, and everything was so good! The Dada I Am has a Indonesian style sauce with a modern twist. The potato with cheese? So cheesy and delicious! The Mango Smoothie was fresh and creamy, and the Burnt Cheesecake was just perfect and sweet The staff are super friendly! Love the place, the food, and the vibes. Will definitely be back for sure! 🙌✨

What a nice spot! The vibe at Soul in a Bowl is fantastic, and the service is great, thanks to the two charming ladies who welcome everyone with a smile. The food is outstanding. You must try the burger—it's incredibly juicy and satisfying, and the bread is perfectly soft. Their Watermelon Mojito is also super refreshing. I highly recommend this place for a delicious and relaxing meal.

Came by this place by accident but a great little oasis with absolutely gorgeous staff. Two young ladies who brighten your day with the beautiful smiles makes the food taste even better that it is (if possible) I opted for the Yellow Sunshine which was delicious and so fresh and my wife ordered Pancake Heaven with Happy Kombucha )Such a refreshing drink after trying the Ricotta pancake which I wasn’t expecting to be so light and fluffy I asked to swap. Next visit I ordered it again for the same Heavenly meal. Also on our second visit my wife ordered a healthy ginger green drink (forgot name) however she wasn’t keen on it as it had a little too much ginger for her taste buds. We didn’t complain as it just wasn’t to her taste nothing else. The staff noticed that it wasn’t drank and we explained it just wasn’t to her taste buds. They took it of the bill which we didn’t expect and said No we are happy to pay. They insisted that we can’t pay. To me that was above and beyond our expectations. Go see the wonderful people and enjoy your breakfast and put a smile on your face.

The sea breeze at night was amazing — the perfect setting for a relaxing dinner. The butter prawn appetizer was flavourful, buttery, and made with fresh prawns — the chef absolutely nailed it! The pan-fried fish was cooked beautifully with great flavours. Paired with a few cocktails and a live band, it truly sealed the deal — one of the best holiday dining experiences I’ve had. A special mention to Nopi, who provided outstanding service — polite, attentive, and genuinely kind. She checked in just the right amount, making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. No complaints at all — just an unforgettable evening. 🌊🍤🍸🎶

stayed one week in the Hyatt hotel and spent 3 evenings at the ‚Pizzeria‘ :) the food, the drinks, staff and atmosphere is just incredible! the food is authentic Italian, better than many places in Italy itself! great job! also the staff is incredibly friendly! :) they have very nice live music (at least the days we went) which makes the atmosphere really nice!

Sundays are so much better when a brunch is involved. The Hyatt Regency really knows how to do this well. An extensive range of superbly prepared hot and cold food is presented and served by the amazing team. Whatever your tastebuds are into, there’s something waiting for you. Amazing freshly shucked oysters and many other shellfish, perfectly cooked steak, endless bbq choices - arrive hungry!

Revisited there in August 2024. Still fantastic. Highly recommended! We went there for both lunch and dinner in January 2024 while staying at Hyatt Regency Bali. After the renovation, Pizzaria became one of the best Italian restaurants in Sanur. The quality of the food, their service and atmosphere are top notch. We had fantastic time there! Thank you very much! We’ll be buck soon!

We came here for dinner without a reservation and got a table outside. Staff is very service oriented and made sure we were comfortable. There was a family near us who asked to turn off the ventilator, while we wanted it on, so they brought a floor ventilator specifically for us, which was very sweet. We ordered sangria, bruschetta, steak, tuna steak and tiramisu. Tuna steak was overcooked. Tiramisu tasted incredible, but the proportion of ingredients was a little bit off - there was not enough ladyfingers at the bottom. We would definitely come back again though to taste some pizza :)

Our first evening in Bali (for this trip) and decided to have a cold Bingtang and a late lunch while exploring Sanur Beach. Fantastic spot, right on the beach.

I had an amazing dinner experience at Pizzaria. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the seafood linguine and the fish with garlic butter sauce! Our waiter, Alit, was very attentive and made excellent recommendations. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxing evening out, and there’s a live music on weekend. I can’t wait to come back again!

Balinese restaurant
Diner
Located on Jalan Danau Poso, Warung Blanjong is a popular eatery in Bali offering a mix of Indonesian and European cuisine. The restaurant provides a more upscale dining experience compared to other local warungs, with bright lighting and air conditioning for comfort. The menu features a variety of traditional Balinese dishes like siap betutu and pepes be pasih, as well as modern options. Visitors can expect delicious food served by friendly and efficient staff at reasonable prices.
The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. The drinks were served fast. The restaurant was spotless and very modern with a large selection of traditional Balinese and “ western” dishes. I ordered mi goreng and Tempe and they were both excellent, I would give both 5 stars, since I am quite picky about mi goreng. I ordered crepe with palm auger and coconut. This one was around 4 stars only. Because it was so hot, the waitress brought me the personal handheld fans, so cute. I would definitely come back to try out other dishes here.

Warung Blanjong has a cosy modern wooden style that feels warm and welcoming. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is tasty: the steak and pasta were good. Drinks include long drinks, aperitifs, and beers, though wine options are limited. The place is clean. Parking can be tricky since it’s on a street near Sanur Beach. Prices are reasonable -but on a middle high end- for a tourist area like Sanur.

Lovely establishment that has a classic atmosphere of infusing Indonesian and western cultural influences. Great selections on the menu that can appeal to nearly anyone and we came here for vegetarian options. The staff are prompt and cordial. The food came out really fast and it was delicious. The pricing of our Indonesian dishes were overpriced for the offering in comparison too many other establishments.

My absolute favorite restaurant in Bali! Every single visit, the food has been consistently delicious. The chicken satay is hands down the best I’ve ever had, and the Nasi Campur is extraordinary — I loved it so much I ordered it three times during my stay. Their green juice is also super fresh and tasty, a perfect match with the meals. Highly, highly recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing food and great vibes!

One of the best restaurants I’ve tried in Bali. The Nasi Campur was outstanding, packed with flavor, and the barracuda fish was fresh and perfectly cooked. I also kept ordering their green juice — refreshing and delicious every time. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for amazing food and great quality.

Passing this place and tried, pretty good price and taste but staff not too friendly - hard to park if you bring car

Came here for dinner on our last night in Sanur and bummed we didn’t come sooner. Dinner was fantastic. Incredibly fresh and beautiful flavours. Had the nasi goreng, baked barramundi, cap cay and spring rolls. Definitely add to your ‘must visit’ list. And so cheap….all these dishes plus two soft drinks 330,000 rupiah.

The elegant ambiance, warm lighting, tasteful decor, and soft music contribute to a captivating dining experience. The professional service adds to the appeal of this establishment.
Went here for dinner without a reservation and was lucky that they had a table available. Enjoyed the atmosphere and what a nice location to chilli after a busy day. Had the mahi mahi with hashbrown, which I thought was interesting but tasted great together. Also had the beef kebab. Both were delicious and we went really well with the Bintang beers.

After passing by a few times while having our evening stroll, finally had the chance to try We had a wonderful dinner here, we reserved beforehand therefore there’s no waiting time Great atmosphere! Arrived just before 12pm and was happy to find both breakfast and brunch options still available. I ordered the pancakes with cream cheese, a cappuccino, and a watermelon juice — everything was fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. My sister requested for the condiments for the pancakes to be served on the side, and the staff were so gracious and attentive, following through with her request perfectly. The watermelon juice could have been a bit sweeter, but we simply added our own sugar, so it wasn’t a big issue. The atmosphere is calm and laid-back, with a beautiful shaded seating area right on the beach offering a gorgeous view. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the pricing felt fair for the quality of both the food and experience. Can’t wait to come back and try their lunch menu next time!

My wife and I ate dinner at Costa last night. We loved the food and the on the beach location so much that we came back for lunch today. I had the cheeseburger last night and my wife tasted it. She was craving it for lunch today so decided to come back here for lunch. Great service, excellent food, and beautiful atmosphere. Won't be surprised if we come back again tomorrow! One minus is the jalapeño margarita in a tall glass. It was terrible. Order something else.

Just had a beautiful brunch here at Costa. The service was amazing, we had the smoothie bowl and a pizza was so fresh and delicious! Followed with the best mango sorbet i’ve had!!! The view just made it even more enjoyable. We will be back soon.

Had such a lovely breakfast here. The food was amazing – fresh, full of flavour and so nicely put together. The drinks were just as good and really refreshing. On top of that, the location is perfect: right by the beach with the most relaxing view. Such a gorgeous spot for anytime of the day 🌞✨

We had a lovely experience at Costa. We ordered octopus, tagliatelle bolognese, tiramisu and crème brûlée. Both octopus and pasta were delicious, though the octopus could have been slightly better if it was warm. The desserts are decadent - we especially recommend the creme brûlée. Cocktails (Aperol spritz and basil smash) were delicious, wine could have been slightly better but overall we highly recommend this place.

1) I will give 1 star for making food with spoiled products. I had a Greek breakfast today. Poached eggs were overcooked, the 2 mm layer of Greek yogurt was super Sauer. Like the cook put leftover yoghurt from old can. So you think your customers don't know how fresh Greek yoghurt should taste? Also overpriced for such basic ingredients and small size. 2) Super hot on the day, no fans in the coach area. 3) I had beetroot salad another day, the dressing was too sweet. Not felt balanced at all. 4) the waiter never asks how was the food, like they don't care.
