Besakih Great Temple, also known as Pura Besakih, is the largest and most important Hindu temple in Bali. Situated in the Karangasem regency with Mount Agung as its backdrop, this holy site features 23 temples, including the central Pura Penataran Agung Besakih and 18 companion temples surrounding it.
Very nice place! Amazing. Not very crowded, you can see local Balinese people performing rituals, praying, and ceremonies. When you enter, a guide is assigned to you. We got Putu, an excellent guide who explained absolutely everything about the place, the statues, and the meaning of each thing. A beautiful experience! Highly recommend

Besakih Temple is absolutely majestic...known as the Mother Temple of Bali, it’s the largest and most sacred temple complex on the island. Located high on the slopes of Mount Agung, it offers incredible views and a deep spiritual atmosphere. The place feels powerful yet peaceful, surrounded by misty mountains and ancient stone gates. Make sure to wear a sarong (you can find it at the entrance) and go early to enjoy the calm before the tour groups arrive. A must-visit to experience the true soul of Bali!
Souad Y — Google review
Besakih Temple is the largest Hindu Temple in the island of Bali, built on the slope of Mount Agung: to be precise it's a complex of 25 different but related temples. The entrance is marked by a "Candi Bentar", the famous split gateway that can be found all over Bali. Unfortunately when I visited there was bad weather so I couldn't enjoy the view of the surroundings. The temple itself is quite nice.
Francesco X — Google review
It's a beautiful temple, definitely with a visit. It takes about 1.5 hours to greet there from Ubud, so plan your itinerary well. We went on a Monday, arrived at around noon, and experienced no wait to buy the ticket. The ticket includes a strong, a guide, and a 2 minute ride up to the temple entrance. You have to walk back down, though I did see the shuttle return with passengers so 🤷. There are lots of steps inside the complex, so come prepared. Steps are irregular, and I saw at least one person slip on what might have been moss. There are souvenir shops inside, as well as toilets.
Avneesh K — Google review
Visiting Pura Besakih, the Mother Temple of Bali, was an unforgettable experience. The complex is enormous and filled with history, spirituality, and breathtaking architecture. Walking through its many levels with Mount Agung rising in the background truly feels magical. What impressed me most was the atmosphere – it’s both deeply spiritual and welcoming. The views over the mountains and rice terraces are absolutely stunning, especially when the clouds move around the volcano. If you want to experience the heart of Balinese culture and spirituality, this is definitely a place not to miss.
Rhythmic B — Google review
I give it 2 stars because the place looks absolute georgous. There are at the moment renovations happening and because of this some parts are closed. Everthing else is a big scam as soon as they put a sarong on you, you already pass ladies with offerings and they told us every tourist have to buy. So we bought 100k for 2 offerings. Later with the prayer you HAVE to make an donation to make your offering, if you don't pay then the offering don't count. The guide was really looking into our wallets and said we have to pay around 50 dollars each. We paid some but definitely no 50 dollar each. They think Europeans are rich, but we are definitely not. He also takes you passed some photographers to take some pictures. I have to say the pictures looked amazing, but again you have to pay 350k for them. At the end of the tour the guide is begging for a tip and nothing was good enough everything was so low and he wasn't happy. ( I think in total we gave him like 50k) he wanted at least 100k The entrance tickets was 300k for 2 people including the guide. So my recommendations is that it's not worth the visit. You are being robbed of your money every step you take.
Gaby B — Google review
The temple itself was absolutely breathtaking—peaceful, grand, and well worth the visit. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by the mandatory guide, who repeatedly pressured me for donations and tips. At one point, he even counted my donation in front of others, saying it was “too small,” which felt very uncomfortable and disrespectful. It’s a shame, because the spiritual atmosphere was beautiful, but the constant hassling made it hard to enjoy the moment. I hope future visitors can have a more respectful and serene experience.

Besakih Temple, Bali A true wonder of the world you can’t miss. The place has a very special energy, with stunning architecture and breathtaking views of Mount Agung. Every photo taken here looks like a work of art. An absolute must-see in Bali! Un imprescindible en Bali

Farms
Cantik Agriculture is a tourist attraction that specializes in processing and serving luwak coffee. The area is fertile and suitable for planting coffee trees, and some spices are also grown here. Raw coffee beans are fed to the Asian Palm Civet, which roasts them, grinds them, and crushes them before the coffee is ready to be served. Free entrance is available, with a guide accompanying you on your walk through the jungle.
This was very good value. You have a delegated guide throughout. They tell you all about the coffee making process. Then they give you an entire tray of different herbals teas and coffee to try. This is all FREE. Then they ask if you want to pay a small fee to try the Luwak coffee. We agreed and tried it. At the end you can look around their shop and buy extras as gifts for friends and family if you wish. Beautiful views. Incredible customer service. Very friendly tour guide.

Our driver suggested we visit here and we were glad we did. Our guide walked us through the grounds and showed us all the coffee plants and more. We were provided with a ton of free coffee and tea samples to try. We ordered the luwak coffee and it was ok! We are from Melbourne Australia so we are coffee snobs lol. I was sad to see the little guy in the cage but they informed us that they are traded in and out and will always be released - so that made me feel better. Overall, it was a nice fun 45 min stop on our way around Ubud.

What a great experience to try the local tea and coffee in Bali, the little animals in the tree were so cute, such many flavours, they all tasted amazing, the one that came on top was the mangosteen and lemongrass for me. My daughter loved the coffee & cocoa one which we brought from there store. I also purchased some coffee bags to take home as gifts, the staff lady was very helpful and explained how the coffee is made which was so interesting and there was no cost for the taste testing I Enjoyed this experience at little cost just for my purchases 😊

Went with a tour. Tour guide took care of everything ,but everything was so organized with the coffee experience. The Teas and coffees were spectacular. Each unique in flavor and they give you the option to buy some after the experience to take home. The ambiance and set up was quick but memorable trulh recommend it.

Beautiful experience, Fira was a wonderful guide and made everything perfect. The only thing that you can pay but not mandatory is 50 rupiah to taste the Luwak coffee but the tasting of all coffees and teas and guide is free! Totally recommend :)

In September 2025, my friend and I visited Indonesia for the first time. I'm not a coffee drinker but since this was part of our day tour, we went to Cantik Agriculture Luwak Coffee. I really enjoyed this experience. They explained how coffee beans are grown. We saw Luwak (Asian palm civet, a small mammal in Southeast Asia) and they explained Luwak Coffee (when coffee cherries are eaten by civet cats and then processed in their digestive tracts, and finally passed along within their fecal matter.) They let us try 13 Coffees/Teas and had an explanation for each type. Then they had a store, that sold the coffee and teas we tried. I purchased Mangosteen Tea, Rosella Tea, and Bali Coffee and Cocoa (which taste like hot chocolate) as gifts for my family. If you like coffee, definitely try Cantik Agriculture Luwak Coffee.

#MUSTTRY, when you are in Bali it’s a must guys. Our guide took us Cantik and the person who explained everything very well, since we are from Chennai, she spoke few Tamil words we were awestruck with her hospitality, my kids saw Luwak she explained everything what they are being fed with, how did they take care of them. We tasted almost 20 different types of coffee and tea on cliff side with an amazing view. The chocolate coffee and Lemon tea were out of the world, I bought back home since I have had only cabin luggage not check in baggage, I could not more, if I have I would have bought many many things. We tried Luwak coffee (perfectly cleaned) paid IDR50000 a cup but worth it. I bought coffee body scrub, cinnamon rolls, tiger balm, butterfly pea flower (dehydrated), Lemon tea, chocolate coffee, vanilla coffee, Bali curry masala, paprika, cloves. It’s a free tasting guys paid only for luwak coffee alone (since it’s expensive) but other tastings are free, you can buy the product in sales office.

Museum Geopark Batur, also known as Batur Museum, is a unique museum that showcases a diverse range of exhibits related to the geology, history, and culture of Mount Batur. The museum features well-presented displays explaining the Pacific Ring of Fire and Indonesia's position within it, local vulcanology, and the history of Mount Batur's eruptions.
If you’re visiting Bali and happen to be in the Kintamani area, I highly recommend Museum Geopark Batur, It’s a fantastic educational spot! Inside, you’ll find so many fascinating things to learn about the earth core, discover some meteorites that have fallen to Earth and their significance. Learn about the lava produced by various volcanoes and how they’ve shaped the landscape. Balinese culture and the history of Bali. It’s a real shame that this museum doesn’t get as many visitors as it deserves because there’s so much valuable information to gain here. Plus, the entrance fee is quite affordable (IDR 10.000) the facilities are decent, and the restrooms are really clean! A big thank you to the dedicated staff at Museum Geopark Batur for all your hard work. Your efforts truly enrich the visitor experience! 🙌🏽

Great place to learn about Mt. Batur, Lake Batur, even the formation of the whole Bali island! The museum is rather empty, which is a shame. We visited the museum because it was raining and we couldn't visit more touristy places, but we had a great time knowing more about the area. Great for those who love geology and learning.

This government facility provides information about the formation of Mount Beto. I found the information about the lava flows. Very interesting. This place is for somebody who wants to learn. It is simple yet has a lot of good information if you go there before visiting the mountain and the Lakeview, you will have a better appreciation of how this natural formation was made overtime

Price: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ One of the biggest perks of visiting Museum Geopark Batur is that there’s no ticket fee, making it budget-friendly for anyone interested in learning more about the area's geological history. Whether you're a solo traveler or with family, the fact that it's free makes it an easy stop if you're exploring the Kintamani region. Location: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The museum is located in the scenic area of Kintamani, right near the majestic Mount Batur, which adds to its appeal. The surrounding views of the volcano are breathtaking, and it’s not far from other tourist spots in the region, so you can easily combine it with other activities in the area. Use grab or gojek for transport. Fun/Entertainment: ⭐⭐ This is where the experience falls short. While the museum does have some interesting facts about the volcano and geological formations, the lack of interactive exhibits, especially ones in working condition, makes the visit feel underwhelming. Many of the media and audio-visual displays were either out of order or poorly maintained, which really detracts from the overall experience. There’s also limited information available in English, which might make it less enjoyable for non-Indonesian visitors. It’s definitely more of an educational stop than an entertainment hub. Facilities: ⭐⭐ The museum is basic when it comes to facilities. While the washrooms are functional, they’re not particularly modern or well-stocked. There are no cafes or food options inside, so if you’re planning a visit, be sure to bring water or snacks. The museum could really benefit from some updates to its displays and better maintenance of its existing technology. Overall Experience: ⭐⭐⭐ If you're already in the area and have an interest in volcanoes and geology, the Museum Geopark Batur can provide you with some useful information about the region's volcanic history. However, it's not something you need to go out of your way for unless you're really into geological studies. The lack of working exhibits and limited English content makes it hard for many visitors to fully appreciate what the museum has to offer. In the end, it’s a quick stop but not an essential one on your Bali itinerary.

Mount Batur View Point, located in the charming village of Kedisan within Kintamani, is a must-visit destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Perched at a high elevation, this viewpoint offers breathtaking vistas of Mount Batur and the stunning Lake Batur, renowned as one of the most beautiful calderas globally. The serene mountain atmosphere enhances the experience, making it unforgettable.
Great Sunrise Experience at Mount Batur! The Mount Batur sunrise trip was so much fun! We took a jeep to the top, which made the whole experience even more exciting and unique. The view during sunrise was absolutely stunning — truly one of the best I’ve ever seen. The jeep ride was smooth and added a sense of adventure to the trip. We paid 500k IDR per person, and it was definitely worth it for the amazing view and overall experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Bali!

A stunning roadside viewpoint offering mesmerizing views of Mount Batur and the surrounding landscape. Perfect for a quick stop to soak in the beauty especially during clear weather. Be mindful though, clouds can quickly roll in and cover the mountain. The view is absolutely worth it, but be cautious of local item sellers nearbythey can be quite persistent. It's mostly just a viewpoint, not a hike or full stop, but a memorable spot for photos and a quick bit of shopping if you're interested. Definitely a great memory if you're passing through!

It’s a nice place for view. You can get vegetarian restaurant around. Street shopping (no matter how much you negotiate, you will be proven cheated by other seller :)) so be careful. there is no entry ticket it’s open so no timing applicable!
Bhavesh K — Google review
We hiking itself was quite difficult in complete darkness, and on very sandy and rocky roads which gets very busy with tourists. There is a better road but it’s only for motorbikes who try to sell a ride for everyone. We got up at 2 AM, travelled for 2 hours and hiked up to the top (took 2 hours, for 2.7 km with 700 m height difference). It was very foggy and we couldn’t see anything from the sunrise or the view. We could see it from the valley that it’s very foggy and rainy but the guides didn’t say anything. It was a waste of our time and money. We of course know that it’s nature and nobody is at fault, but I would like to warn people that it can happen, and recommend to check the weather forecast and visibility beforehand and cancel if it’s foggy. If you go during the day there is less chance that this will happen and you don’t need your do the hike in darkness.

It a nice place to stop and have a quick look around. But! While we were admiring the view we were surrounded by a couple of locals that tried to selling us stuff and they were quite pushy! Was annoying! We had no problem anywhere else in Bali, just here!

Beautiful view point on the way to Batur hotbsprings!! You can spend max 30 mins. There were a lot of vendors selling fresh clementine orange 🍊. It was so sweet. There are a lot of people selling fancy gift and jewellery . Word of caution-- they price it toooo high and you should bargain . There was a good veg indian restaurant nearby as well.

This place is absolutely insane! I took photos with my phone light before sunrise, and then again during sunrise—both were amazing. Even though it rained all night the day before, reaching the top was still totally worth it.

Located in Toya Bungkah Kintamani, Desa Pekraman Batur, Songan B, Bangli, Bali 80612, Indonesia, Batur Natural Hot Spring is a perfect retreat after a challenging hike to Mt. Batur. The facility offers towels, locker keys and a welcome drink coupon upon entry. Visitors can also purchase swimwear if needed.
We accidentally stumbled across this place, the entry fee includes towel, locker and a welcome drink. The flies are annoying for sure, but they are more around the pools than in them. I loved the hottest pool and spent most my time there, it was busy but not overly so. I had really been missing a hot soak so this was perfect for us. There is s restaurant on site…. and many opportunities for massages if you want one. Would be amazing after a hike, or in our case, several hours on a scooter 🤣

Batur Natural Hot Springs offers a beautiful setting with stunning views over the lake and mountains 🌋💦 – the perfect spot to relax after a Mount Batur hike. The pools are warm and soothing, and the surrounding nature is just breathtaking 🌿✨. That said, the facilities could use a bit more care and maintenance 🛠, as some areas feel slightly worn. Still, a lovely experience overall and worth visiting for the scenery alone 🙌🌊.

Like stepping into a hot bath - mmm - different pools some with fountains, the views are amazing of the caldera. The water is clear, we were there on a quietish day (probably due to the weather on the day). There are shallower pools and slides for kids (& adults). They also provide you with a fresh towel (which smelt laundered) and you get a locker all in the cost. I would recommend wearing flip flops in the showers. Nice enough and good if you are in the area, but it was a heck of a drive along some sketchy Bali roads .

The hot springs at Mount Batur had a great first impression. The pools were nice, the water was beautiful, and the view was amazing. That said, once you pay for your ticket it feels a bit like a maze. There aren’t many signs, and it’s confusing to find your way around. The biggest downside for me was the number of flies, which made it hard to relax. The ladies’ shower room was also in poor condition. It wasn’t very clean, and the towels were kept outside, which was inconvenient. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful, but others struggled with communication and even gave the wrong directions when I asked about finding another pool. Overall, it’s a beautiful spot with a lot of potential, but the facilities and organization need improvement.

We booked Mt Batur Trek from Klook and this was an add on. We thought after the trek it will be great to dip ourselves in hot spring and release all the tension from our body. Anyways we were right. The hot springs had a view of the lake. The water was lukewarm and clean. They gave us locker and a towel. There were showers and changing rooms and washroom as well. Also you can get massage while you are in hot springs. But thats a paid service.
Prachi C — Google review
I thought this was an excellent facility that was well maintained. The whole design was aesthetically pleasing and the all areas were kept clean & tidy with a lovely view over Lake Batur. The only negative was the flies, esp when you are trying to relax on a sunbed. There were literally thousands, it was a huge nuisance. I also thought 200 rupiah seemed a lot, although they did supply a towel & drink.
S J — Google review
Only had a short visit (approx an hour) but we will be back. Magical location. Fresh juice on arrival. Lots of pools. Looked busy but didn't really notice once soaking our body's in the water. Team very friendly. Definitely put on must do list
Hayley T — Google review
A hot spring with a scenic view, the water in the different pools has different temperatures and depth, and it will be great if the temperature and depth can be labelled for safety reasons. The only negative feedback I have is the entry fees of 200k with a towel and drink is on a high side and will discourage return visitors.

The property features an infinity pool with stunning vistas, as well as water slides for all ages. Visitors can also indulge in the various hot spring pools at different temperatures and enjoy dining at the onsite restaurants and bars.
We love this place. Beautifully situated in the lake. The pools are all natural and warm. And maybe even with healing properties. The pools are cleaned every evening. One or two licks of paint and refreshes might be good around the place but nothing major. Food is great value for price. Yes there are a ridiculous amount of flies but that is everywhere in Kintamani and the resort does what it can. There is even an indoor restaurant now if you need it.

Went to use the hot springs. Very expensive for what it is. Needs a complete revamp as dated, with paint peeling off, rust and missing tiles. As you enter there are hens kept in small cages, cruel and unpleasant conditions. There were no female lockers left to use despite arriving at 12 noon. Not exactly peak time. Whilst the pools were warm, there were flies everywhere including in the pool. No one appeared to try and keep the pools clean. The kids slides were good but again run down. We wouldn't consider eating there as the kitchen area was full of flies and people who were eating were swatting flies as they ate. Would definitely not recommend anyone to go, here it needs a complete refurbishment. It needs an indoor area to eat in. Charging what they do for this place is out of order.
Heather M — Google review
We didn't stay at the hotel. We only stop by for couple of hours, because my mom wants to dip her feet in a warm swimming pool..coming from natural hot spring. She ended up swimming for an hour. The entrance fee is quite reasonable, you will get towels for additional price (10k for locals) and key for locker. You get to enjoy warm swimming pool. Good place for family visit. And look a like infinity pool by the lake...

Great place to spend a morning or afternoon for a great price. Paid about 170k and came here after hiking Mt Banur. Had a floating lunch in one of the pools over looking the mountain - was amazing. One unexpected tip: bring bug spray! The flys in this area are relentless

We love it here, even though it's a long drive it's worth it. You can enjoy the lovely warm water and eat delicious food. There's also a colder lap pool and some cool water slides. Also a "Love Cave" which goes under the rocks and then it goes to a pool bar. There's also lots of water spouts to massage your back with! Sadly they have serval chickens kept in tiny cages which is quite sad. Overall though a great spot -Alex Also ITS NOT A HOTEL GOOGLE!

Didn’t book a room but paid the entry fee and stepped out within less than 30 minutes. The landscape and view of it all was great, but the place itself was horrid. The place was worn down (which is weird because its a fairly new attraction CMIIW). The flies are everywhere and disgusting. The fact that EVERY surface of that place has flies all over is enough to make me not put myself inside the pools. I couldnt get myself to sit anywhere cause I was disgusted by the flies. It was truly disgusting. No wonder they put “No Refunds” in the front of the gate. High potential, but really bad execution. Please do a renovation soon.

This is scam, this is not hot spring water it is a bunch of barely warm pools. We went next door to Batur natural hot spring, and it was actual hot springs. And the pools at Toya were dirty full of insects while batur’s was super clean and amazing and all the pools there actually overlook the lake. When we asked for a refund for this scam they told us. That they already told our driver that the water is only warm inside and they won’t give us a refund. Horrible horrible place and service

Breathing sunrise. But the hiking is very hard and you need to have good physical fitness. If not you can choose jeep or motorbike. But they only go to certain height. And you might need to get a jacket because the place is very cold. You can rent them before hike dtart. View is amazing and our guide helped us a lot to ho to the top of the mountain.

We started the hike to Batur with our guide at 3am. The hike was 2 hours and very easy. The sunrise at the top was magical. The view is really breathtaking. You can see the lake, Agung and even the sea. We cooked eggs with the hot steam of the vulcano for breakfast. Recommend you to do this hike!

It was a wonderful adventure. We got up extra early to drive there. Met our local guide and started the hike while it was pitch black. The hike was moderately easy. Not as difficult as I was led to believe. Our guide was not only an exceptional guide but also a wonderful photographer. He took amazing pictures and knew all the great spots. He brought us to the top without getting us winded and with well spaced breaks. The breakfast he gave us was very simple but we had fun. The monkeys came and ate the leftovers. Monkeys were all friendly. The views were absolutely breathtaking. We were all in awe of the volcanic steam. This was by far the best experience we had in Bali. 10/10 recommended!

Funny hiking and worth for the first sunlight as the trail not too much incline to make climbers can rest often. At the top there are a lovely wooden benches for those couple and group to sit together and there are small kiosk for drink and snacks. The best highlight is the monkey and doggy.

You have to do this hike if your in Bali it’s a must!!! Make sure you choose your guide very very well, I researched for a long time and finally found one that didn’t do the normal route, we were all alone but across the ridge there were around 40-60 people fighting for space to take photos, if you wan the guides info please send me message on instagram @travel_a_holic

This is a really touristic attraction, and usually I don't like to go in over-crowded and over-hyped places... but in this case I'm glad I did it. I wanted to do it with my girlfriend alone, without a guide, but I saw on other reviews that we would probably face harassments from locals if we chose this option, and I didn't want to stress...so we booked the guide with our Cottage for 500k: we did the long trekking (with black lava), not only the standard one, finishing with the Hot Springs included (in that day there were no flies and we could really really relax in the splendid hot water. We started around 3:30 AM and reached the top just before sunrise. The view is totally worth it! And the warm breakfast made the experience even better. TECHNICALITIES: It's cold. But when you start to move you warm up (I did it with shorts and t-shirt no problem)... but on top is cold again while you wait for the sunrise. Take something warm with you or practice some Kapalabati breathing ;) The road is crumbly but if you go slow it's okey... it takes 1:30-2 hours in total to reach the peak. If you do the full tour like us, it's 5 hours. Toilette in nature. Pay attention to the monkeys...they can look into your bags for food.

A Magical Sunrise Hike — Mount Batur, Bali ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hiking Mount Batur is one of the most unforgettable experiences in Bali. The early-morning climb is steep in places but completely worth it once the first light touches the horizon — the sunrise over the volcanic lake is breathtaking. At the summit, you can enjoy a simple but heartwarming breakfast and fresh coffee served by the local guides — such a beautiful gesture after the climb. Don’t forget to wander over to the crater, where gentle smoke still rises from the earth, reminding you that the mountain is alive. A few tips from experience: – Bring a warm jacket — it’s surprisingly chilly before sunrise. – Check the weather forecast — cloudy or rainy mornings can hide the view. – Watch out for the cheeky monkeys (they love snacks and phones!). It’s a hike that combines challenge, stillness, and wonder all at once. (Shared a few sunrise moments from my journey on Instagram @AlwaysInYogaFlow 🌿)

Okuta Cafe is a newly opened establishment in the Kintamani area, offering a captivating ambiance and stunning views of Mount and Lake Batur. The cafe's unique building design features large pillars with beautiful curves, creating an aesthetic appeal. Located on Jl. Raya Penelokan, Batur Tengah, Kec, it provides a perfect setting for visitors to relax and enjoy the fresh air while taking in the picturesque surroundings.
Great place for breakfast with a beautiful view! I came here for breakfast and really recommend it. The view is stunning and the parking area is spacious, which makes the whole experience smooth and comfortable. Even from the parking lot, the scenery is impressive. Just make sure to drive carefully on the way. The food I ordered was tasty, and the cool, relaxing atmosphere made it even better. There are many food options available, and the portion size and price are just right. I’ll definitely come back next time!

Great vibe and an amazing view. Nice open area and cool architecture. While they were out of the two things I wanted on the menu, I did enjoy the burger and the desert. Coffee was also enjoyable. One of the better place to grab a bite on the main strip with plenty of parking to boot. More @zsoltzsemba

I had lunch here, the food was so good. The staff was cheerful and polite from we entering the restaurant. The view also peaceful. But the garnish of the drink not same as in the picture of the menu. It’s fine, the taste still good.

Okuta is a stunning spot where the view, décor, and landscape are as much a draw as the food itself. The setting feels carefully designed to showcase Bali’s natural beauty — open spaces, earthy tones, and a seamless flow between indoors and outdoors. The menu highlights local dishes with pride, while also blending in touches of international cuisine, creating something both authentic and approachable. It’s the kind of place where you can savour Balinese flavors yet still feel the comfort of global influences. A perfect balance of setting and taste — well worth the visit.

Nice modern open plan restaurant with a wide selection of traditional Indonesian dishes, pastas and a few old favourites like fish and chips, and chicken cordon bleu. Coffee is excellent. Beer is available including the brilliant Kura Kura range, but no wine, and the cocktail selection, while good, is of the non-alcoholic mocktail variety. A nice selection of smoothies and cakes are also available. Like most restaurants around the rim of the caldera, the views are outstanding if you pick a clear day to arrive. I gave 3 stars for atmosphere because of the location right next to a busy road with a LOT of loud traffic noise, otherwise five stars!

I came here on a day trip and the food was simply amazing! The portions were as expected for a meal for one person (large) and it tasted very fresh and tasty. Price was good too. I highly recommend this place for a great meal and beautiful views. The staff is very friendly too. 10 stars!!!

We liked the food in this cafe. Rating 4 out of 5. Tasty, but something is missing. The tea was tasty, but please replace your beautiful teapots with other, more convenient ones, because when you pour tea into a cup, everything spills out past it, it is inconvenient. The view from the cafe to the mountain is amazing.

Breakfast restaurant
Lakeview Restaurant is a culinary gem nestled in the breathtaking Kintamani region, offering an abundant buffet of traditional Indonesian and Balinese dishes throughout the day. With its open deck providing stunning views of Mount Batur, dining here becomes a memorable experience as you savor delicious meals while surrounded by nature's beauty. The restaurant is renowned for its signature dishes like Mujair Nyat-Nyat and Duck Konyer, but it also caters to diverse palates with options ranging from Asian to Western cuisines.
The restaurant had an amazing view to Danau Batur. They also had many points and the swings to take pictures. The staff was friendly. Inside the restaurant, it was quite dark. I guess it created a cooler atmosphere inside when it was sunny outside. The restaurant was clean and not very crowded when I was there. Food was delicious although there were not many choices. Satay was surprisingly amazing, tasty and juicy. Fried bananas were fun to eat. They made good coffee. I ordered a Mojito. I could tell the lime was not very fresh. The drink was cool and tasted very well. The decoration of the drink was beautiful. To go to the bathroom, you must go down stairs. It was very clean there

Nice large family restaurant with a stunning view of Mt Batur. I did not get the buffet but ordered Duck which they seemed to be surprised about as everyone else ate the buffet lol. The slow roast duck and salad I ordered plus a Bali punch was just right.

We were forced to eat here for breakfast, there were a ton of flies at the table and the lady was quite rude. There seemed to be very little care for hygiene when I looked at the staff cooking and I felt sick afterwards. We’ve been to a few other places in the area (in the same price range), so we know it’s not typical. I don’t get sick easily so there’s obviously low hygiene standards. Lovely view tho! In the dim sum restaurant in the hotel complex (which has the same cooks / chefs), we found a Bali cockroach in the dumplings

The must visit place for tourists I'm happy that the quality of the food has been improving a lot now. They're not just eatable as it used to be, but absolutely delicious now. The service was also faster but could be better by always having a staff or two attending the outdoor seating area which is the favorite spot to enjoying the view. The furniture was also a lot more better maintained. Need improvement for the toilet downstairs so it doesn't look so gloomy and cold.
Advantours — Google review
Nice spot with magnificent view (if the weather conditions permit it). They have usually a buffet with a lot of choices even if the quality is not always the best (furthermore sometimes cold hot food). The pumpkin soup was fine. But honestly you go here for the location snd not for the food

The pizza tasted good and served fresh. The staff was pretty helpful. It's better to come here early morning since the cloud and fog start enveloping the region at noon and blocking the view. I came here just today and it was raining and the flies swarmed the place.

At Resto Apung, you can enjoy a meal with beautiful views of Mount Batur from the lake below. At Bungalow Kedisan RedPartner, you can find space and privacy in a natural setting surrounded by trees.
We found this hotel and restaurant by pure chance. Wonderful location on the lake, with sunset view. We have been travelling alot, but the quiet and the peace here are priceless, especially if you come from Ubud. This is the sad point: tourists drive early in the morning from Kuta pr Ubud for the sunrise hike on Mount Batur, missing the possibility to stay on the lake overnight and do the hike when the crowd have left. You will enjoy the sunrise from their terrace… Pity that this hotel is not on booking.com! They use TikTok and other social platforms. But it is my highest recommendation among the natural sites I have visited in these 10 days in Bali.

Below average experience unfortunately. I had to search for a member of staff when I arrived as there was no one near to welcome me, however he was quite friendly. Overall the place doesn’t appear well kept. The food was not great, I ordered grilled fish and it was cold, leaving me questioning how long ago it was cooked. It came as 2 whole fish with 3 fish heads (weird), lots of bones, I spent the whole time picking needle bones out of my mouth. Only accept cash, wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t return.

I was there a few years ago. Location 👍👍👍 Service 👎 Cleanliness and comfort👎👎👎 Food quality 🙄 Room tidyness/cleanliness 👎👎👎 Pool quality 👎 Price-performance ratio😭 If management wishes foreign visitors to come and enjoy, they have to take it serious and improve on service, cleanliness and food quality.

Room :Honestly, I didn't rent a room here. so I don't know the conditions inside. Service : It seems that Bali has no doubts about service to guests. Location : With very beautiful views and atmosphere, you won't regret relaxing here. but too many flies are annoying.

Good tasted foods with affordable prices. Scenery is amazing. Good temperature and air as well. However we chose on the place at outer side closest to the lake and a lot of flies swarmed our foods even though we are given 4 candles. Hopefully management can consider installing fan to help repel the flies.

I visited this place on a hot sunny day in January 2020. The place is beautiful and the view is awe inspiring. This restaurant is not a 5 star or Michelin star, so please don't have crazy expectations. Its a place where locals visit regularly and their food is delicious and a bit spicy. It wouldn't be wrong to say that this was one of the best meals I had while in Indonesia. The service was very nice, polite and they gave me a charger to charge my cell phone too which was nice. So great views, great food, nice people and 5 stars! Will definitely come here again!

Good place to have lunch. The foods are good, especially the dessert, banana fritter. It was the definition of lunch with a view. It located in the edge of the lake surrounded by mountains. There are 2 types of dining room, on the land, and the other is floating on the lake. Eating on the lake feels like you eat on the boat. But i give 4 stars because the toilet is less clean and the flush didn't work

I wish I have known this restaurant way earlier!!!! One of the most beautiful restaurant in Bali and definitely among the most memorable one I've visited throughout my life. Love the scenery, love the fish dishes, love the memory, great! They have praying room too for Muslims, big parking area, and bungalows for staying guests. Will definitely come back here again, multiple times 🤩🤩🤩 A restaurant worth 10stars in my opinion.

Caldera Hotel & Restaurant is located in the heart of Kintamani, Bangli and has stunning views of Mount Batur. The hotel offers a range of accommodation options, all with modern-minimalist design and luxury wooden furniture. There's also a restaurant serving excellent food at very affordable prices. All units at the hotel have balconies allowing tourists to enjoy the beauty of Mount Batur and Lake Wanagiri.
The hotel is not worth the price. We paid 1,100,000 rupiah (around €60) and the sheets and towels were old. The breakfast was very basic and sad. The service depends on how lucky you are sometimes fine, sometimes not. In the evening everything was okay, but in the morning one employee had her toddler with her, playing with a noisy toy,(machine gun)and the mother didn’t even bother. Definitely not what we expected for this price.

Booked a room at this hotel thinking it would be great as the pictures look pretty awesome. My god I was wrong. Payed 750.000IDR for a Mountain View room in a hotel considered 3 star hotel. What a rip off… the bedroom was big and had a nice view, but no fridge, no air conditioning, no extra blankets, no bottles of water, was not particularly clean. Nobody told us there was a water dispenser in the corridor (it was empty anyway as I saw them change it at 8am) or that we could ask for a hair dryer at the reception. The bathroom had some mold in some corners. Some members of the staff (I should think) were talking and laughing after midnight in the corridor -though there is a “be quiet” sign- and considering the door is extremely thin, they woke us up twice. Ate at the restaurant in the evening, had a crispy duck dish. I ended up with a dish that was basically duck bones with rice. And that was worth 135.000IDR. Plus a really long wait which is surprising as there was hardly anybody in the hotel and loads of friendly staff. Concerning the breakfast, it wasn’t ready on time. Also don’t expect it to be as good as just a 2 star hotel. No juices for free, no bread. Not blaming the young members of the staff who were friendly, but who an earth is managing that place ?! Basically, for half the price you can get so much better ! Go elsewhere, trust me !

The location is a great as you can see the lake and mountain clearly. However the room was not what I expected. As I booked the room, it looked very clean and nice but it was not… The room was not dirty but horrible smell…like mold and bath room was like sewer… At least the ppl were really nice. But I dont recommend here to stay, but good view.

Wow. Hard to believe this place has any 5 star ratings. It’s in an incredible location but the rooms were not clean when we checked in. The walls are all scuffed. It’s a management issue for sure

Nestled on a hillside with breathtaking panoramic views, Montana Del Cafe is a minimalist concept cafe in Kintamani, Bali. The venue offers an array of picturesque spots for photo opportunities, including unique seating areas and floor-to-ceiling glass partitions. Since its opening in early 2020, the cafe has gained popularity on social media due to its stunning ambiance.
Nice cafe for brunch with stunning viewpoint. You can sip your coffee and look at Batur mountain. Coffee and food were good. So the service and atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Not crowded at the mornings.
Paul C — Google review
We went to see the sunrise and black lava at Mount Batur and had our brunch at Montana Cafe afterward. The fruit juices were refreshing, though slightly too sweet for our liking. The fries were well-fried—crispy and satisfying—and the mayonnaise that came with them was especially good. The big breakfast was served on a large plate and the food quality was quite impressive. The tuna sourdough sandwich was interesting, but the bread was a bit too hard, which made it difficult to bite through. The tom yum fried pasta looked visually appealing, but it wasn’t particularly memorable and was already a bit cold when it arrived. What really stood out, though, were the cakes. Both the burnt cheesecake and the lotus caramel cheesecake were delicious—rich, smooth, and full of flavour. The cafe also has a lovely view. It’s bright and breezy, making it a pleasant and relaxing place to sit and unwind.

Wonderful location, a lot of parking space and they also provide valet service. At the 2nd floor got some place for nice photoshoots too. The waiters are friendly enough to offer us to take photos. And they are informative about the menu. Overall this is a quite good place to enjoy the cold breeze and beautiful mountain scenery in kintamani.

Montana Del Cafe is one of those places where the view does most of the talking — perched high above the hills with sweeping vistas of Bali’s lush greenery and misty mountains. The scenery alone makes it worth the stop, especially if you’re into photography or just want that perfect travel shot. Every angle seems picture-ready, from the airy seating decks to the hanging nests and glass platforms that frame the landscape beautifully. As for the food, it’s decent though not particularly memorable — the kind you enjoy while your eyes stay glued to the horizon. The menu covers the usual café fare and coffee options, all serviceable but clearly secondary to the atmosphere. Still, Montana Del Cafe delivers on what it promises: a scenic, relaxing spot to unwind, sip a latte, and take in one of Bali’s most photogenic panoramas.

Hindu temple
Sights & Landmarks
Sacred & Religious Sites
Pura Ulun Danu Batur is a significant Hindu temple complex in Bali, featuring nine temples, 285 shrines, and pavilions dedicated to various deities. It is one of the oldest temples on the island and showcases traditional Hindu and Balinese architecture. The temple is devoted to Lord Vishnu and Dewi Danu, the goddess of Lake Batur. Destroyed by a volcanic eruption in the past, it was reconstructed in 1926.
You have to buy tickets across the street, and either purchase or rent a sarong. We ended up purchasing them as this was our first temple visit and figured we would use them again. The pricing for the sarong is negotiable. We had a nice older man guide us through the temple and take amazing pictures. He also took us around back to show us the view, but made sure to not let anyone bother us trying to sell things.
Sarah W — Google review
Amazing temple complex! Very artistic and lovely. I have to agree with other reviewers though, the aggressiveness of people trying to sell and hustle you for money is way too over the top here. Enjoy the inner part of the temple but DO NOT go around the back. You will meet a man that is highly agressive trying to sell you lava rock drawings. He will actually get in your face! The view in the back is the same from the cafes.

Pura Ulun Danu Batur, a Hindu temple in Kintamani. Located on the rim of Mount Batur, the temple contains 285 shrines and pavilions spread across nine different complexes dedicated to water deities. Parking is easy, but parking is available for a fee. A sarong and sash are also recommended. You can purchase or rent one on site (I recommend purchasing it; it will be useful at other temples). It's a very beautiful place, not very touristy, although the noise and traffic in front of the temple are quite heavy.
Łukasz M — Google review
Beautiful temple and worth visiting, but the scams and gimmicks are getting tiresome. When you pay the entrance fee, they take you over to a wall and try to get you to purchase a sarong. When you decline, they then try to rent you one. A FREE one is already included with the ticket. We had to get borderline unfriendly for them to get the point that we were not buying or renting one. Then they force you to go with a guide. That was okay as she was helpful and made navigating the area easier. We offered a small tip at the end. However, along the way, we had a few people approaching us to buy things.

Visited this place for Bhumisudha ritual. However, the ceremony had finished when we arrived. No problem, we love to feel the atmosphere here.
Widhi H — Google review
The ticket price idr 30.000 for local but we have to rent sarong to go in. You may negotiate the price for the rent sarong, as cheap as you can
Santoso S — Google review
READ BEFORE VISITING Be prepared to be attacked from the locals upon arrival at the parking. When you buy the entrance ticket for 50k, in which is included the sarong and belt for entrance and also tour guide be aware that the women around the ticket counter will try to sell you the sarong, you must explicit say to them you will only rent the sarong that is included in the ticket. It ruins the tranquility of the Balinese people and culture when you come to such places and they are so pushy to try to sell you spmething. Maybe i would buy something else from them if they were not so annoying 🙏 The temple itself is beautiful and all the sculptures inside with the unforgetable architecture👍👏👏

A Scam Disguised as a Temple - Avoid at All Costs! I regret to inform potential visitors that our experience at Pura Ulun Danu Batur was not one of spiritual or cultural enrichment, but rather a systematic and stressful scam from start to finish. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place. The issues began immediately after purchasing the "donation" ticket for 50,000 IDR. The ticket explicitly states that it includes a "Balinese Headband, Shawl, Sarong, Local Guide." However, right after paying, the ticket lady directed us to two women who were supposed to equip us. They immediately asked if we wanted to buy a new sarong. We declined. They then proceeded to dress us in standard sarongs, only to demand an additional 25,000 IDR per person for "rental." When we firmly refused, stating everything was included in the ticket, their excuse was that these were "more beautiful" sarongs and the free ones were different. After a firm standoff, they reluctantly let us go without paying, but the confrontation was entirely unnecessary and set a terrible tone. The situation worsened at the temple entrance. The security guard who checked our ticket deliberately tore off the entire right side of the ticket—the very part that listed all the included services (including the guide). This was clearly a coordinated tactic to remove proof of what we had paid for. Shortly after, we were assigned a "local guide" who could barely speak English. Her entire vocabulary seemed to be "me follow you." She followed two steps behind us throughout the temple, completely incapable of explaining any history or significance of the site. Her presence was useless, awkward, and eventually became irritating. When we finally asked her to leave us alone, she immediately demanded payment for his "services." This was the final straw. We, of course, refused to pay him anything. The temple itself is in a beautiful location with a superb view, but that is the only positive thing I can say. It is my firm belief that the entire staff—from the ticket lady and the sarong attendants to the "guide" and the security guard—are part of a coordinated criminal group with the sole intention of scamming and extorting money from tourists at every turn. Do not waste your time or money here. The beautiful scenery is not worth the hassle, deception, and utter lack of respect shown to visitors. If you do decide to go, be prepared to argue and firmly refuse all additional payments.

Pura Puncak Penulisan is a serene and tranquil temple located just 3 kilometers away from Kintamani village in Bali. The temple complex features 11 terraces showcasing the pyramid cultural aspect of the megalithic age, with around 300 steps leading up to the highest point where visitors can enjoy a wonderful view of the surrounding landscape. This unspectacular yet calming location offers a peaceful experience away from crowds, allowing visitors to appreciate the quiet ambiance and tranquility.
Stunning view. If clear sky, we can see three mountain (Mount Batur, Mount Abang and Mount Agung).
De G — Google review
The highest temple in Bali. There are a few flights of steps you can take to get to it, or take a back road to save yourself the effort. Many old statues & stone artifacts. Worth the visit. Did not have to pay to get in, but there is a donation box. Always remember to wear a sarong.
Miss G — Google review
There are so many beautiful temples in Bali but this one is not worth the 50k entree fee. It also takes 300 steps up :(. Probably if there is a ceremony it can be nice but when we were there it did not feel sacred at all.

It's one of historical place temple in Bali, where the first irrigation was found and use in farm in Bali, nice a chill place and a good place to tracking

A good view of three mountains (Batur, Abang and Agung) may be seen from near the main temple at the top. Remember to bring Balinese temple clothing if you want to enter the temple.

Bobocabin Kintamani, Bali

4.5
(1025)
Camping cabin
Bobocabin Kintamani, Bali offers low-key cabins with stunning views of Lake Batur in a secluded complex. The atmosphere is peaceful and the cabins are clean, cozy, and modern. The chilly climate provides a refreshing escape from the typical Balinese heat. Guests can enjoy BBQ facilities and Wi-Fi on-site. However, accessing the location can be confusing due to poor guidance from Google Maps.
When I decided to book a stay at Bobobox Cabin Kintamani, I was very excited and looked forward to the experience. My first impression upon arrival was very positive, as I was greeted by the receptionist, Ade Maharani, who was exceptionally helpful and provided all the necessary information in detail. Her assistance and friendly demeanor were much appreciated. However, I soon became bothered by the large number of flies, which were present from the lobby all the way to the cabin and even managed to get inside. Although I was informed both verbally and through signage that this was due to the surrounding gardens using manure as fertilizer, for the high price of the cabin with a hot tub, I expected a higher level of comfort. Furthermore, there was no special service provided by management for guests celebrating a birthday, which was the case for me. Nothing was offered to acknowledge the occasion. Overall, my experience was exceptional, with the exception of the fly issue. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I will reconsider before booking another stay for a future trip.
Gus G — Google review
I absolutely CANNOT recommend it here. It's dirty. We had to change cabins because the ceiling was broken. In both cabins the outdoors was littered with cigarette bumps, the tub was full of cold water from the previous guests, uncleaned, and full of insects. Both cabin insides were just dirty and stuff stuck on them. We ordered the BBQ, which was just a stove with an aluminum pan and some margarine. How are you supposed to make an expensive steak with that equipment. No steak knife provided, not even scissors to open the bag. No salt, no pepper provided as well. The place maybe looked good when it was designed, but the maintenance of the buildings and execution is poor and not tough through at all. Another thing to add, showing that it's not thought through are the aerators in the faucets. They mix the water with air to save water. But you don't want that when filling the tub. You want it fast and hot. PLUS, it makes it so much more quiet and peaceful to take them out.
Hendrik S — Google review
Room is adequate and clean, no dust was seen flying in the air when the morning sunshine penetrated the room. I can see "sunrise" directly from my cabin. The receptionist is good. Although in the morning there were so many flies outside the cabin, most likely it's quite common in the area. What I cannot recommend is the location, the access is very terrible, don't try to enter later than 5PM. The road got no lights and can only fit one car with a very stony road, don't bring car here. I wish they had posted this in their account.

stayed at bobocabin unplanned turns out became an amazing experience. the staffs are very helpful and friendly. the room is clean, a perfect cabin to have an intimate quality time with your +1.
Fajrina L — Google review
I stayed at Bobocabin Kintamani for 2D1N and had a very pleasant experience. The view of Mount Batur from our room was stunning. The check-in/out process was fast, and everything is modern—you can control the door, lights, and order food via their app. The place is perfect for couples or families looking for a unique stay. Nighttime was chilly (around 15°C) but manageable. However, access is a bit tricky. The entrance is narrow (better for motorcycles), and there’s no elevator—so carrying heavy luggage can be a hassle. It also gets hot in the morning with lots of flies, which locals say is due to seasonal changes. The area is clean, though. Overall, no regrets staying here. I’d love to try Bobopod in other cities too! Thank you!
Zefanya T — Google review
For a hotel in Kintamani, and as someone who was looking for great views, Bobocabin is a good option. Perhaps due to a major event happening during my stay, the price was quite high. Some of the staff were very helpful, while others were just okay. It seems the hotel is undergoing improvements, as there were some renovations and the staff appeared to be understaffed. Hopefully, things will be better next time. There is food available, which was quite decent and reasonably priced. As for road access, it’s quite common in Kintamani to have narrow, uphill roads with a few challenges. Wishing Bobocabin Kintamani all the best—hope everything is even better in the future!
Telly T — Google review
For the price we paid, it was very dissapointing, the room was dirty, the cabin looks not well maintained, some part of the woods are rotten, parts of it fell out, and mostly very dirty, the bed sheets have small holes, there was no hand soap, the water kettle was dirty, the towel was smelly, so many things were not up to standards. The breakfast was also very dissapointing, the omelet looking more like fried egg, sorry to say but for the price you charge, you should be able to provide something better
Ratna D — Google review
The view from the hotel is amazing, it’s not directly in front of the lake but you could see both lake and mountain from the room. The access to the hotel is as usual, pretty hard. There are lots of flies in Kintamani area, but I wish the hotel staffs could prepare something to get rid of it. The food is so so, pricey. Better to bring your own food, you can store it in the fridge and heat it in the microwave located in the communal area. Lastly, the plug in the bathroom was broken, we could smell something burnt and there was even smoke coming out of it, quite dangerous. But thankfully the staffs are pretty responsive and able to fix it quick. You just need to pay attention.

Pura Segara Ulun Danu Batur

Hindu temple
Pura Segara Ulun Danu Batur is a serene floating temple situated on the shores of Lake Batur in Kintamani, within the caldera of Mount Batur. Unlike many other touristy temples in Bali, this beautiful site offers an authentic experience of Balinese Hindu culture with frequent local ceremonies. The temple provides stunning views of Mount Batur, Mount Abang, and Batur Lake.
Short stopover after Mt. Batur’s jeep tour. Nothing much to see here but the temple is beautiful. Since we can’t enter the tower so we just walk around the place and take pictures. Not much visitors too, quiet little place to relax.
Rachel C — Google review
Pura Segara Ulun Danu Batur is an important temple in Bali dedicated to Dewi Danu, the goddess of lakes and rivers, and the god Vishnu. Located on the edge of the Lake Batur caldera, the temple offers a beautiful and cool environment. It's a great place to calm your body and mind. And remember to always keep the environment clean.
Made W — Google review
Tourist trap. The road to get here was a bit bumpy. Certain angles of the temple looked cool for photos, but that's about it. Price is 2k for parking and 50k per person entry (mandatory donation), not too long ago it only cost 25k. They will also offer a sarong and sash. Toilets have no running water, toilet seats, toilet paper, or soap. The entire place is very old, run-down, needs maintenance, repairs, and a lot of love. Wish the people that pocketed the money here would actually make this place nicer.. because it has potential. It's just sad and a waste of time. The only nice part was that we were alone.. idk if that's nice for other people or not. Lol

Pura Segara Ulun Danu Batur is a temple on Lake Batur, near Pura Jati in northeast Bali, Indonesia. Access by car is easy, and parking is ample and free. You can buy sarongs at the entrance, unless you've already stocked up. There are also other stands selling various souvenirs. Access to the temple is via a jetty. It's a great spot for taking photos by the lake with a beautiful mountain view in the background. It's practically deserted, so you can easily take photos without "strangers." Admission was free, although apparently things have changed now, so it's worth being prepared.

Pura Segara Ulun Danu Batur – Lakeside Serenity Near Mount Batur Pura Segara Ulun Danu Batur is a stunning lakeside temple nestled along the shores of Danau Batur. Located en route to the Mount Batur trekking point, this temple is often overlooked but offers peaceful views and a serene cultural experience. Managed primarily by local villagers, it has a strong community presence. Although there is technically no entry fee, visitors are expected to make a compulsory donation of 25,000 IDR per person, which serves as a customary offering to the temple and helps with its maintenance. Important to note: Like most temples in Bali, entry inside the sanctum is restricted, and only Balinese Hindus may enter during prayer or ritual. However, visitors are welcome to walk around the outer temple complex, enjoy the views, take photos. This temple is a quiet gem, perfect for a short stopover on your way to or from the Batur trek.
Sivachand M — Google review
People working there were rude to us. You do not need pay anything to them if you have your own scarf to cover legs and you can BUT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PAY donation. I do not recommend this place because atmosphere there made by locals was really rude and aggressive. Temple is nothing special, there are many more beautiful.
Karolina U — Google review
nice place where you can enjoy solitude and the view. it is better to come in rainy season, so the temple will be surrounded by water!
Олександра К — Google review
I have mixed feelings. The temple is pretty but there was very little water surrounding it (maybe more so in the wet season) and a bit of rubbish. The rest of the area is a mixed matched jumble of nothing. It seems strange they charge you to enter. I had my own sarong but they still insisted on charging me to supply a sash… which clearly I didn’t need. The road is quite bad to enter and had I had all this info beforehand, I probably wouldn’t have bothered.

If you want to drink Luwak Coffee or buy Luwak Coffee powder and taste a variety of tea and coffees, you can visit this place. They also have spices. Luwak Coffee is a coffee made from the Coffee beans digested from a Civet Cat, as thus animal eats only the best quality Coffee beans.

Don't waste your time; they scam and steal your money. We purchased ginger coffee and matcha tea, but inside the original coffee or tea, there was a mixture of instant coffee and tea with artificial sweeteners. We spent almost 500,000 IDR in total. This place is ruining Bali's reputation for tourism.

Unbelievable experience. Love the place and presentation.. People so friendly. 🇹🇷♥️🇮🇩
Alp — Google review
We had a nice visit with free entrance and free tasting, and there was no pressure to buy. We paid for the Luwak coffee and enjoyed it. Later on in the shop we bought the sugar free avocado coffee, been told that it was only coffee and avocado powder, some chocolate for my kids, and saffron said to be local. Once at home it was a total disappointment. The chocolate was just sugar, the sugar free coffee was a mixture of instant sweetened coffee and the saffron had no smell at all. It is worth visiting for the experience and tasting, enjoy one of their coffee with a great view, but defintely skip the shop!!!
Samah B — Google review
The different types of tea and coffee given for tasting were awesome. You could pick your most favorite flavour or buy whichever one you like most. One could see every step of that special and most expensive coffee made from Civet cat poop there. Altogether, a beautiful place with good scenic views and offering a great experience.

BAS De ATAYANA is a great destination if you enjoy coffee, nature, and scenic photo spots. The agrotourism experience is informative and the natural setting is relaxing. I give it 4 stars for a well-rounded experience, small improvements could make it even better, but very much worth visiting.

As the name itself says mountain view restaurant it deserves more than 5 stars. Sari mountain view restaurant is an Indian restaurant. It has two levels ground level and upper level. Ground level has a cafe and open space to sit and hog on food with a view of kintamani volcano mountain. The place is cold rainy and foggy and is worth every penny. It's beautiful and scenic. Washrooms are maintained good. It has open bar at ground level with a cafe too and they serve breakfast lunch and dinner also. The ambience is quite lavish and beautiful. First level serves indian food at buffet for all tourists who visit. It has parking space. Wherever you Stand or sit you will have the view of kintamani mountain which is bliss to your eyes and soul. Amazing views, the venue is worth it just for this. The food they serve can be hit and miss. Guess it depends on your taste. Loved the soup and some of local mains. The black rice pudding and fried bananas were not as well received though. Get dessert elsewhere in my opinion. Unless you're happy with some fruit. The buffet was a bit pricey compared to the rest of Bali cuisine but at less than USD $15 (200k IDR), still very affordable.

Ritatkala Cafe, located in Kintamani, has gained a reputation for its stunning views of Mount Batur, Lake Batur, and Mount Agung. The cafe offers both indoor and outdoor seating options with different vibes. The outdoor area provides a relaxing spot with comfortable wooden chairs to soak in the picturesque scenery, while the indoor section exudes a more elegant and sophisticated atmosphere.
Ritatkala Cafe is not just about the view like most places, they actually serve really good food too! 🍽️💯 Big portions, super tasty, and totally worth the price. And the coffee? So good! ☕️ Especially when you pair it with their cakes and enjoy it with that stunning Mount Batur view 🏔️✨ Pure bliss. Never been disappointed here, highly recommend! 💛

the reviews are generally correct that this is the best actual food in the area. portions are medium sized but tasty. oxtail soup and beef curry were good with lots of meat. Ceaser salad was decent (also came out late). prices are good and the staff are competent. varied menu, doing Asian and western. Indoor and outdoor seating. obv great views goes without saying. varied table and lounge seating. large parking lot. some annoying hawkers. overall Recommended.

The place offers a lovely view and a comfortable ambiance. There’s a wide selection of dishes to choose from, though the taste is fairly average, and hot meals tend to cool down quite quickly after being served. During high season, be prepared for a waiting list as the place can get quite crowded. Overall, it’s still a pleasant spot to unwind and enjoy the scenery.

I went to Ritatkala Cafe for the first time 4 years ago for breakfast. Too bad the view is covered with fog because of heavy rain so I couldn't have breakfast with view but the ambiance still great. The fog made me didn't feel like I was in Indonesia. The food and beverages were good and the price is reasonable. The staff also very friendly. The cafe also clean from the dining area, outdoor area to the toilet as well. Since that moment Ritatkala is my must to go place in Kintamani. I've visited Ritatkala 3x since. And Ritatkala never disappoints me. The food and beverages always good, staff always friendly, cafe always clean, price still reasonable. I love all my experience in Ritatkala Cafe

We visited this restaurant drawn by its high rating, but now we understand that the praise mostly comes from the view rather than the food. What many described as “delicious” is really just “edible.” We tried five dishes: Oxtail soup – the meat was inedible and the broth was muddy, not strained. Thai beef salad – the beef was undercooked. Chicken salad – the chicken was overcooked and dry. Laksa – possibly we’re spoiled by other places, but this was not laksa; the noodles were clumped and the flavor was off. In general, I would rate the food at 4/10 at best. The view is nice, coffee probably good but we didn’t try it since it was late. The orange juice was excessively sweet, almost overwhelming. At least we were very hungry and the food was edible enough to fill us up.

Beautiful mountain view and cozy atmosphere such a perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery. The food is good and the staff are friendly. However, the coffee and other drinks could still be improved in terms of taste and consistency. With a little upgrade on the beverage menu, this place could easily become a must-visit spot!

Nasi goreng was awesome, fried calamari were tough and fishy, spring rolls were quite bad for my personal taste, it had some aldente cabbage which had specific smell, and not much sauce was served. Overall it’s a good place and spectacular view!

Floating Restaurant Kedisan is a remarkable dining destination perched gracefully on the serene waters of Lake Batur, nestled at the base of Mount Batur. This elegant eatery stands out not only for its stunning location but also for its exquisite menu that elevates your culinary experience in Kintamani. Guests can choose to dine al fresco by the water's edge or enjoy the comfort of an indoor setting with breathtaking floor-to-ceiling glass views.
The place is huge! many seatings are available. we choose one of the floating "island" and enjoy the food a lot. the view was amazing! we liked the mujair nyat-nyat, which is the specialty of the area

Great location. Lovely views. Reasonably priced restaurant. Popular with locals. Nice grilled fish meal. It was breezy when we visited so the flies weren't too bad but on a calm day they would ruin the experience . Same all over the lake area I believe. Definitely stopping at if only for a drink and a photo stop.
Karol G — Google review
1st of all, it's an amazing place to visit for the views. Ample parking space and quite easy access to this place. The weather is breezy despite the direct sunlight, you will get amazing photos here with lake and mount batur view. If you came here for food , it's worth going for mujair nyat nyat. The fish are fresh and the aroma melted into the fish is amazing. However, be prepared to up your martial skill and amazing hand movements. You'll be busy fighting off plenty of flies as soon as the food arrives. For me this was quite disappointing, I couldn't enjoy the food quite like I wanted it despite the amazing view. The cleanliness of this place needs to be addressed, it's simply too much to handle just for a meal. I'm honestly surprised at the amount of flies here compared to eating by the beach with less cleanliness. Honestly this would've been an amazing experience if it weren't for the flies. I hope this can improve.
