The Big Buddha, officially known as "Phraphutthamingmongkhol-akenagakhiri Buddha," stands majestically at 45 meters tall atop Nakerd Mountain in Phuket. This stunning white marble statue is not only a significant religious site but also offers breathtaking panoramic views of the island, including Phuket Town and Chalong Bay. The journey to this iconic landmark is made easy with well-paved roads, despite some winding curves.
It is still closed when I am visiting it in July 2025. But the view near the Big Budha is really beautiful!!! And it is free. There is like a park for elephants. You can pay if you want to feed the elephants or ride the elephants. But it is better if you choose not to ride the elephants.
Ida S — Google review
Great view from here and ride up the hill to reach here is amazing. Lot of good cafe son the way for coffee and snacks. Best to come in a scooter here to enjoy the scenic ride uphill.
Nishant G — Google review
We took a tour for a few different things, tiger kingdom, elephant treaking, a temple, and of course the big Buddha, sadly it’s closed for now because of a landslide incident, but it’s still pretty amazing to see it! I do recommend taking a tour so you get to see other cool things, or you could hike it, I do recommend
Marissa W — Google review
This venue is closed because of a landslide. The views are amazing. I'll venture to say that on a clear day it would even be more beautiful and this might be a great place for a sunset.

**Visted last week, It was closed temporarily due to land slide** 🙏 A majestic 45 m white-marble statue offering stunning island views from Nakkerd Hill. 🌅 Peaceful, spiritual, and perfect for photos. It was raining and foggy, weather was Nice and it is partly uphill, so visit early or at sunset. 🛕 Dress modestly—shoulders and knees covered. Some areas may be restricted, but still worth a visit for the views and calm vibe.
Aman C — Google review
The attraction was close but the ride was fun, you can see elephants there. The view is amazing. Rent a scooter and go on your own it's better.
Picor D — Google review
It is closed now a days for some work or renovation.. If you are going only to see the Budha then better don't visit.. Pls check before you go in future.. You can see view of city and beach from top.. Attaching few photos

A wonderful spiritual landmark with breathtaking views! The grounds were well-maintained and clean, making it pleasant to walk around. The site feels very safe with clear pathways and well-organized visitor flow. Families with children will appreciate the spacious areas and the peaceful atmosphere. The staff members were friendly and helpful in providing directions and information about the site. One star deducted as some areas could benefit from better signage and shade for visitors during hot days.

Kata Beach, a stunning gem on Phuket's southwest coast, is renowned for its picturesque 1.5 km stretch of soft white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. This idyllic location is perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and soaking up the sun. The beach is flanked by vibrant restaurants and resorts that cater to every need. Just a stone's throw away lies a community park designed for families seeking fun and relaxation away from the beach hustle.
Easily the most enjoyable beach experience if you head here slightly early in the day. Tons of beach beds that are handled by the attendant, but also enough space at the ends to swim quietly and away from all things commercial. The currents here are also a lot more manageable and do not pose as much of a safety risk as some of the other beaches. Could see a lot of families with young children enjoying themselves in the water.
Russell F — Google review
Stunning beach at dusk. There were so many surfers and it was really pretty. Nice to walk along. A little dirty here and there but generally really well kept.
Travels L — Google review
This beach had very calm and clean waters, fine sand ideal for making sand castles and clean enough for kids to play around with. Family friendly place be it day or night. Ideal area to be with family. Very relaxed environment, beach boys selling seats to tourists, helpful people around.
Chiragi J — Google review
Kata beach is one of the best surfing beaches in Phuket. Great beach even during the start of the rainy season. We have been coming here for 6 years now and it gets more beautiful and a new memorable experience each time we come.

Kata Beach, Phuket’s understated tropical paradise. Framed against a backdrop of lush, emerald-green hills that cascade down to meet the shoreline, the image reveals a stretch of powdery white sand kissed by the Andaman Sea’s signature turquoise hues. The water’s clarity is mesmerizing, allowing glimpses of the sandy seabed below. This beach feels like a private postcard from nature itself. My own visit to Kata Beach last September aligned seamlessly with this captured tranquility. The waves were an absolute highlight: mellow yet lively, perfect for floating on my back while gazing at the endless blue sky, or timing a few exhilarating dives into their soft breaks for that refreshing thrill. They’re forgiving for beginners but carry just enough energy to keep things exciting, making every dip feel like a personal gift from the ocean. What truly stole my heart, though, was the raw, unspoiled natural beauty surrounding it all. Towering limestone cliffs draped in verdant foliage frame the bay like nature’s own artwork, while coconut palms sway lazily in the breeze, adding whispers of tropical romance. Far from the frenzy of nearby Patong, Kata offers a harmonious blend of adventure and serenity. If you’re craving a beach experience that’s equal parts invigorating and idyllic, Kata Beach in September is your answer. Less crowded, more soul-nourishing—it’s the kind of place that lingers in your dreams long after you’ve left. I can’t wait to return for more of those perfect waves and that effortless, breathtaking beauty! 🌊🏖️

Kata Beach is a popular 1.5-kilometer-long beach on the southwest coast of Phuket, Thailand, known for its soft white sand and clear water, making it ideal for both relaxation and activities. It is a lively yet laid-back destination with a range of amenities, water sports like surfing and snorkeling, and nearby attractions. The waves are calm for swimming and surfing from November to April, while the monsoon season from May to October brings rougher seas and is better for experienced surfers
Khaled M — Google review
Kata Beach is very beautiful and relaxing, with soft sand and nice waves. Restaurants by the sea are a big plus. Honestly, I preferred Karon Beach more, but this one is also really worth visiting.

Kata Beach is a fantastic family-friendly beach in Phuket, Thailand. The sand is soft and the water is clear, making it perfect for swimming and playing. You can also see a small, round island called "Pu Island" just off the coast. It's a great spot for a relaxing day with the family! Welcome to visit na kaa

Karon Viewpoint is a must-visit gem in Phuket, offering breathtaking panoramas of the Andaman Sea and the stunning beaches that line the coast. Nestled just south of Kata Noi Beach, this popular spot allows visitors to gaze upon three beautiful bays: Kata Noi, Kata, and Karon. The viewpoint is particularly enchanting at dusk when the sky transforms into vibrant hues of pink and red.
Karon Viewpoint is a must-visit spot for anyone exploring Phuket’s coastline. The panoramic views of Kata Noi, Kata, and Karon beaches are absolutely stunning, offering one of the best vistas on the island. It’s a peaceful and free location that’s perfect for a quick stop, whether you're just passing through or looking to take in the beauty of the area. Even a brief visit offers breathtaking views that are definitely worth the time. The viewpoint provides a full view of three beautiful beaches in one stunning frame, making for an unforgettable sight. Whether you're snapping a quick selfie or capturing the landscape, the scenery provides the perfect backdrop for photos. Karon Viewpoint offers the ideal stop for a short break with refreshing breezes and spectacular views. It’s an easy-access spot and definitely worth a quick pause if you’re in the area. Whether you’re there for the photos or simply to enjoy the view, it’s a place that delivers a rewarding experience. Highly recommended!

We visited Karon Viewpoint on 1st October as part of a city sightseeing tour with our family (2 adults and 2 kids). It was one of the most scenic stops on our trip. From the top, you get a breathtaking panoramic view of Phuket’s famous beaches — Patong, Karon, and Kata — lined up beautifully along the coastline. On the opposite side, you can also spot the majestic Big Buddha sitting atop Nakkerd Hill, which makes the view even more impressive. Historically known as *Three Beaches Hill* or *Kata Viewpoint*, this spot has long been a popular stop for both locals and tourists to admire Phuket’s natural beauty. It’s an important landmark because it perfectly captures the island’s charm — the mix of green hills, turquoise waters, and golden beaches in one frame. The place is well maintained, with viewing platforms and shaded areas to relax and take photos. Our kids loved the open space and the fresh breeze at the top. Overall, Karon Viewpoint is a must-visit for anyone who wants to experience the best of Phuket’s landscape and enjoy a bit of peace away from the busy beaches.
Pankaj A — Google review
The Karon Viewpoint Thai name is Kho Sam Haad, which means ‘The Hill of the Three Beaches’, and once we reached the place, just as promised, we saw three beaches. So, if this is your first trip to Phuket, you probably will stop for a few minutes at this popular and beautiful panoramic landmark to admire the view from the top of the hill. The closest and smallest one is Kata Noi Beach. A bit further, we could see the beautiful Kata Beach with its island ‘Koh Poo’, which means Crab Island, and far, we could also spot the very long beach of Karon.

Breath taking sunset.....so so marvellous and beautiful. Do visit this place 30 minutes before sunset to get a good spot on the viewpoint. Overall have a lot of space to sit around and take photos too.

Karon Viewpoint, also known as Three Bays Viewpoint, is a must-visit spot in Phuket, Thailand. It offers a breathtaking panoramic view of three stunning bays: Kata Noi, Kata Yai, and Karon. The scenery is absolutely mesmerizing, with the turquoise waters meeting the golden sands and lush greenery. The viewpoint is easily accessible, making it a popular destination for tourists. You can take some fantastic photos here, especially during sunrise or sunset when the light is at its best. The viewpoint itself is well-maintained, with clear signs and information about the area. However, the natural beauty of this place is something we must protect. To preserve the beauty of Karon Viewpoint, it's crucial to practice responsible tourism. Always dispose of your trash properly in designated bins. Avoid littering and consider bringing your own reusable water bottle to reduce plastic waste. By taking these simple steps, we can all contribute to keeping this beautiful spot pristine for future generations. Welcome 🤗

Walk around 2.5 kilometres, and the road gradually inclines as you near Karon Viewpoint. Just a short distance uphill from Karon town, Karon Viewpoint is one of the must-visit spots on this side of the island. From this famous lookout, you’ll be treated to a sweeping vista of the cove with three beaches, Kata Noi, Kata, and Karon. The beautiful view makes an excellent backdrop for PHOTOS. We went there by car so didn't had to walk. Have a parking lot just in the entrance.

Nestled between the serene Ya Nui and Nai Harn beaches, Windmill Viewpoint is a hidden gem that offers breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea. This charming spot is perfect for those seeking a peaceful sunset experience away from the crowds typically found at Promthep Cape. The iconic white windmill serves as a picturesque backdrop, making it an ideal location for photography enthusiasts. While you can visit any time of day, arriving during dusk rewards you with one of Phuket's most stunning sunsets.
Moody Skies, Magical Views – Windmill Viewpoint in the Rain Visited Windmill Viewpoint on a slightly rainy day, and honestly, it turned out to be one of the most peaceful and beautiful moments of my trip. Even with the overcast skies and gentle drizzle, the view was absolutely stunning. The clouds rolling over the lush green hills, the ocean shimmering in muted silver tones, and the soft breeze made the whole scene feel like a dream. There’s something so calming and cinematic about standing up there in the rain, watching nature do its thing. The spot itself is easy to reach and not too crowded (especially when the weather isn’t sunny – lucky me!). There’s a quiet energy to the place, and the windmill adds a charming touch to the landscape. If you’re in Phuket and thinking of skipping this viewpoint just because it’s not all sunshine and blue skies – don’t. The rain brings its own magic, and Windmill Viewpoint wears it beautifully.

Windmill Viewpoint in Phuket is truly one of the best hidden gems on the island. Unlike the more crowded Karon Viewpoint, this place feels underrated and far less touristy, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The view here is absolutely stunning – you get a perfect angle of the turquoise sea, the beach, and the surrounding hills, all blending into a breathtaking backdrop. What makes Windmill Viewpoint special is how clear and expansive the scenery is. It’s an ideal spot if you’re looking to take amazing photos, as the natural light, the sea view, and the quiet atmosphere all combine to create picture-perfect moments. Whether you’re a photography enthusiast or just someone who loves capturing memories, this viewpoint will not disappoint. The area itself is peaceful and not too commercialized, so you can actually take your time to relax and soak in the view without rushing. It’s also a great place to sit for a while and simply enjoy the calmness and beauty of Phuket’s coastline. Overall, Windmill Viewpoint is an excellent spot that deserves more recognition. If you want a clear, beautiful view of the sea with a fantastic backdrop for photos, this is definitely the place to go.

Promthep Cape, located at the southern tip of Phuket, is a picturesque lookout point renowned for its breathtaking sea views, especially during sunset. While it may be a bit challenging to access without a car, the panoramic vistas of the Andaman Sea make it worth the effort. This remote location offers a less crowded alternative to other popular spots on the island.
Promthep Cape is definitely one of the better spots in Phuket to enjoy a beautiful sunset. The view from here is wide and open, giving you a clear angle of the sea and horizon as the sun sets, creating a stunning atmosphere. It’s a place where you can simply sit, relax, and enjoy the natural beauty without any rush. The cool breeze and calm surroundings make it even more pleasant. I would highly recommend visiting this spot in the evening, just before sunset, to get the best experience. During that time, the colors in the sky are at their most vibrant, and the whole area feels magical. It’s also less harsh compared to the daytime sun, so it’s more comfortable to spend some time here. If you’re in Phuket and want to enjoy a peaceful yet memorable sunset, Promthep Cape is definitely worth the visit.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 🎥 After watching the Thai 🇹🇭 drama series "I Told Sunset About You" in 2020 during the Covid outbreak, Promthep Cape has been on my bucket list for Phuket ever since. 🌅 Now that I finally had the opportunity to travel to Phuket, I visited Promthep Cape this evening and was able to see the stunning sunset while hiking on the hill. ⏰ I left Patong at 4 PM using Grab and arrived by 5 PM. I took some photos around the area and then gathered the courage to follow others down to the coast, as sunset occurs around 6 to 6:15 PM. After the sunset, it's important to head back up quickly because it gets dark very fast. I took a short break before catching a public bus that happened to be returning town, which only cost 100 THB. 📌 Note: The hike took me about 10+ minutes from the top to the coast. Be sure to wear shoes with good grip, and make sure your legs are strong enough to go down and come back up; you'll need that energy. Also, be aware that there are no proper paths (no stairs), so you need to be extra cautious. 🌈 This is a special moment in my life — I’m grateful to the Creator of All That Is 🪐 for His beautiful creation, and I’m thankful to have witnessed this moment in my lifetime. If I return to Phuket, I will definitely come back here! 📸 Photos took on 24 September 2025.

Promthep Cape (Laem Phromthep) is a scenic viewpoint at the southernmost tip of Phuket, Thailand, famous for its panoramic views of the Andaman Sea, especially at sunset. Visitors can enjoy the views from the elevated viewpoint, which features a lighthouse with a small maritime museum and a shrine with many elephant statues. Shops selling souvenirs and snacks are located near the parking area, and a more rugged path leads down to the end of the cape.

A must-see if you’re exploring the south of Phuket. The view from the cape is simply breathtaking — endless ocean, small islands in the distance, and a golden light at sunset that’s hard to forget. It can get busy, but it’s still one of those places that captures the magic of the island. We love arriving by e-bike just before golden hour. Quiet, powerful, timeless. 🌅🌴
Sawadeebike C — Google review
One if the most beautiful viewpoints in Phuket, with a panoramic view overlooking the south area of the island. Entrance is free, and if you come during the daytime it shouldn't be as packed with people and you get the proper time and option to take pictures calmly and without any pressure of other ruining your shots. If you do decide visiting during the daytime rather than during the sunset/sunrise, I recommend taking into account that there's almost no shade at all, so it's can get quite hot, but the view is definitely worth it.

Promthep Cape is one of the best spots in Phuket to watch the sunset 🌅. The view is magical, with the ocean stretching endlessly and the sky changing colors every minute. It does get a bit crowded, but honestly the atmosphere is so lively it feels part of the experience. I ended up just sitting on the rocks, enjoying the breeze and laughing at myself for trying to take 100 sunset photos when every single one already looked perfect 😅📸. Truly a must-visit—sunset here is unforgettable!

Beach
Rawai Beach, situated at the southernmost tip of Phuket, is a popular destination known for its fishing boats, picturesque views, and seaside dining options. It has been a tourist attraction since the early days of Phuket's tourism industry. The area is home to numerous hotels and restaurants offering delicious Thai and European cuisine at reasonable prices. Additionally, Rawai Beach provides easy access to Nai Harn Beach through a complimentary shuttle service.
Quite place. Not overly populated (some areas still are in low season). Plenty of restaurants, supermarkets, convenience, and souvenir stores. Public benches are available to use. Beautiful panoramic views.

We had an evening stroll to the Rawai beach pier. The beach during low tide conditions was a place where kids hunted for exotic shells. A tour boat returned with a boatful of sightseers, mostly Indian tourists. The pier is not far from where we had stayed — the Meet Holiday Hotel hence the walk.

If you are looking for a quiet beach away from hustle bustle of Patong and Karon beaches, then this is the place. One can take boats or catamaran trips from here to different nearby islands. There is a proper jetty here. Another advantage is that there are few restaurants on the beach itself and a lot more just across the road. We liked it...
Balkrishna S — Google review
Six or seven years ago, Rawai was a very quiet place with not much to explore, especially at night. Back then, by around 8 or 9 PM, it would already be quite dark and quiet. But now, things have really changed. They’ve developed a lot more nightlife in the area. There’s a shopping center called Maxwell, and more bars and restaurants have opened near the beach. This has made Rawai a much more lively and enjoyable place to visit in the evenings. To be honest, I think spending time here with family is even better than going to Patong. I fell in love with Rawai from the first time I visited—and I still love it just as much today.

I highly recommend visiting Rawai Beach if you’re planning a trip to Phuket

This beach is subject to very high tides! - * Keep an eye on the tides in the app. The beach is located along the road and is quite noisy from passing cars and motorcycles! The length of the beach is approximately 2 kilometers - it is a large beach. The flora here is made up of mixed species of trees, with a predominance of coniferous casuarinas. The beach is not very popular with beach lovers (and understandably so), but it is very popular with lovers of fresh fish, sea delicacies and those people who like to eat good food! Depending on the season, the sea begins to move rapidly away from the shore exposing the rocks and those who live underneath them. A large number of crabs, hermit crabs and other sea creatures are found on the surface. The sand here is hard, representing a stony crumb. The depth of the entrance to the sea will depend on the time of day! The water in the sea is not the most transparent. Full information with video and easy navigation - in the app 👉 PHUKETON

5 star location and vibes, attentive and happy service however they were a little pushy to get us to buy food when we really only wanted to relax and have a few drinks. Aside from this, it is a beautiful spot, surrounded by greenery and the water from the other side. Such a relaxing place to be, and I could easily see us spending a long time here, as the breeze off the water is nice and cool. Not the cheapest place, but the ambiance is worth it. Come here to relax. Would be 5 stars but felt pressure to buy food when we weren't hungry

Fantastic location on the beachfront and the waiting staff provided impressive service throughout. However I feel the need to point out the Phuket signature dish, crab meat curry, that disappointed as it contained a lack of curry paste, rather, it appeared to contain coconut milk. Also, the kale in oyster sauce lacked oyster sauce. I am very certain about these claims as I dined with Thai people. I asked for more curry paste but the dish came back basically the same.

The best thai food we've had in Rawai, and it was like Speedy Gonzalez fast! Just a heads up that a large coke on the menu is a full 1.25L bottle 😅

Came here following the good reviews, and this restaurant delivered. Super friendly staff and great value food. I wish I had found this place earlier in my stay! All the food arrived hot, which was greatly appreciated. The meals were tasty and filling. I highly recommend this place.

Found this restaurant while googling in Australia before our trip and thought we needed to try it out. Was not disappointed at all! The service is amazing, thanks for finding my nail 🤣, food exceptional and atmosphere relaxing and enjoyable. Already been here twice and will defiantly be back at least once more before we leave on Wednesday.

I really like that restaurant, and its vibe, especially in the evening. The food is very fresh, tasty and well presented. They can adjust it to your taste on request. Everything I ate was delicious, especially the Pad Thai and the Steamed fish with ginger. The manager is also very attentive! Thanks again!

I stayed at the inn for one week and it was very nice. The room was comfortable and clean, the restaurant is fantastic - Thai food at affordable prices - location is great as there are restaurants, shops, cafés, a night market, Kata beach at a 15 min walking distance. Staff is friendly and very nice.Keep in mind that there's no elevator and no pool. The best in Thailand is without question, the people :)

Wow! Best food we’ve had in all of Thailand. We’ve been to Bangkok, Chiang Rai and Pattaya before this. We had the vegetarian pad Thai, vegetarian mild yellow curry, spring rolls, and drinks. PHENOMENAL. We wish we could have had only this this whole trip

We went to the restaurant and loved it. I had the massaman curry and it was great. They also bring fruit after your main which was lovely. Highly reccomend! Only bit of advice is that it's very noisy close to the road, so if you find a seat away from the road you'll be fine.

We've been here several times. Everything is quite tasty. The selection of dishes is good. But they add a 5% tip to the bill by default... It seems like a small amount, but it's unpleasant... so 2 stars for the service. The staff, however, is wonderful.

Sea Breeze is a beachside cafe that offers delicious food and friendly service. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. Some dishes may not be to everyone's taste, but the shrimps Pad Thai comes highly recommended. The setting is casual with Nai Harn Beach as a beautiful backdrop. Visitors can enjoy soulful meals cooked with love and appreciate the cozy atmosphere and stylish renovation of the place.
Grabbed a salad and some chicken to take down to the beach. Super impressed. The chicken pop dish was amazing, same for the broccoli, bacon peanut salad. Broccoli was cooked perfectly. Bacon was lean and crisp. Will repeat.

We ordered two drinks and two times club sandwich. After 20 minutes we still did not have our drinks so I asked where it was staying (other people who came later than us already had their drinks and even their food). Eventually they “forgot” to prepare the drinks. After 40 minutes we still did not have our food. Again, other people who entered had their food in 10-15 minutes. The owner gave us a bowl with peanuts for waiting…. I just wanted my food! Eventually, after 55 minutes we had our 2 club sandwiches. Not even a please, thank you or enjoy the meal. Service is very bad! The food was ok, nothing special.

We enjoyed a fantastic dinner here on October 9th and were blown away by the entire experience. Sea Breeze is such a pleasant and cozy place. The food and cocktails were simply magnificent. The service matched the high quality of the drinks and food—our waiters were incredibly polite and tactful. I can confidently say this is the best restaurant on this beach. We will definitely be coming back again soon!

We live in Phuket in the northern part of the island. Dad came to visit us and we took him to show him the beautiful Nai Harn beach, after the beach we were hungry and decided to have a snack. We found this cafe on Google maps. Everything was great! We ordered all the traditional Thai dishes for dad. Everything was delicious and at a good price. Special delight about the shower! 🙏 This is so lacking in Phuket! How wonderful it is to take a shower after the beach! We will definitely come again!

The overall dining experience was quite pleasant. The food was good, and I particularly recommend trying the Chicken Pop. The service was nice, and the pricing was fair, offering good value for the quality of the food. However, the drinks were somewhat average; personally, I didn't like them. Despite this, the positive aspects of the menu and service make it a worthwhile spot to consider.

Italian restaurant
Pomodoro Pizza Restaurant, located in Karon, is a top-notch Italian eatery known for its delectable pizza and prompt service. The restaurant prides itself on its cleanliness and offers a variety of mouthwatering dishes beyond just pizza. Many patrons consider it the best pizza spot in Phuket, with particular praise for the margarita pizzas made by owner Mario.
This was my first time visiting the restaurant, although I usually order their pizza for delivery. My impressions were mixed. The ravioli in sauce were absolutely amazing — it felt like real Italy, and the portion was generous, which is a big plus. Pasta - belissimo! However, the appetizers were a bit disappointing. The cheese and ham looked great, the ham was tasty, but the mozzarella had no flavor at all. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were friendly. I think I’ll definitely come back, as their pizza is amazing. I just hope they work on improving the quality of some ingredients.

Pizza game is solid here. The crust was cooked well. My Capricciosa had a nice texture and flavor. It was a tiny bit too soggy in the middle of the pizza making it hard to eat with one hand. Not a bad place for a pizza fix. Plenty of seating. Can be a bit hot during the day as it is an open air resto.

Great Italian restaurant in Phuket near Kata beach. It is further away from the main beach but worth the walk. Italian man working there was very accomdating, we had pizzas with cheese removed to make it vegan and added extra toppings. The pizza bases are authentic. The mariana pizza and aglio e olio spaghetti had lots of garlic in it too, delicious. Selection of wines and desserts avaliable as well.

Last night and what a find ! A super little Italian restaurant which is Italian owned and the owners are present and involved ! Garlic bread with mozzarella and minestrone soup to start (complimentary bread and butter) followed by bolognaise sweet and packing a ton of tomato flavour this is up there with the best bolognaise, first rate so much so as I’m eating early I shall get a takeaway pizza I think to have for a late supper … top marks it really doesn’t get any better at any price … thank you all …

Kata Noi Beach, a hidden gem on Phuket's southwest coast, offers an idyllic escape with its stunning white sands and crystal-clear aquamarine waters. Nestled in a serene bay just south of the bustling Karon Beach, this beach is perfect for families seeking relaxation away from the party scene of Patong. The 1.5 km stretch is lined with swaying palm trees that provide shade while vendors offer refreshing drinks and local snacks right at your fingertips.
Beautiful beach ⛱️ there where no swimming signs and it was choppy but it seems quite safe if you stay close. Not too crowded and very clean! Would 100% recommend
Laura R — Google review
It is a quiet enough beach, without a lot of entertainment venues. Most often people come to this beach, stay in a hotel and try not to go far away, enjoying a quiet vacation. The beach is small in size: its length is about 700 meters. In high season there are a lot of tourists here, but compared to the previous beaches: Kata and Karon, there is a place to stay! Kata Noi beach is quite a famous vacation spot among tourists. The flora here is made up of trees of mixed species, nevertheless, the beach is open enough to spread the sun's rays. Be sure to use high UV protection creams when sunbathing here. The sand here is soft, light gray in color. The entrance to the sea is medium deep. The water is clear, blue-green color! The wind in the high season is not strong. The bulk of vacationing tourists are concentrated at the hotels adjacent to the beach. Witnessing the sunset here is truly an unforgettable experience—arguably one of the best in the world. As the sun dips below the horizon, the sky transforms into a breathtaking canvas of warm hues, creating a serene and almost magical atmosphere. The setting is peaceful and calming, offering the perfect moment for reflection or simply to unwind and take in the natural beauty. Whether you’re a photographer, a traveller seeking memorable views, or simply someone who appreciates nature’s wonders, this sunset is not to be missed.

Kata Noi Beach in Phuket is such a beautiful and relaxing place! The water is clear, the sand is soft, and it’s surrounded by lovely green hills. The waves are a bit bigger than at other beaches, which makes it even more fun to swim and play around. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy the sun, take great photos, and just have a fun, relaxing day by the sea! 🌴☀️🌊
Arash A — Google review
It’s not the best most especially if you are coming from Patong central, it’s too expensive to go here. Taxis are heaps expensive to go around Phuket and so, I suggest if you wanna do the beach go somewhere near. Also, this season, there are huge waves and heaps of rip tide, even when you are just staying in the shore, you can feel that the water has a heaps of movement and it’s not safe. The area isn’t too clean too. At least there are beach chairs, which is 200baht for 2, fair price for me as if you stay long, and it’s worth it. All in all during the rainy season, don’t waste your money, and stay in Patong beach.

The views from here were awesome and great place to relax, BUT like it's neighboring beaches, you're immediately greeted with so much rubbish. There's some parts that are less trashy than others. Even in the water, You'll be swimming with plastic bags. It's not just ropes or fishing lines, but general trash as well. I've seen toothbrushes and food packaging. There's no rinse off station and you'll have to pay to use the bathroom. Most of the beach is taken over by beach chairs that are for rent. Lifeguards are present in this location.

Previously Surf House, located near Kata Beach in Phuket, was a popular spot for surfers of all levels. Whether you were a beginner or an expert, the thrill of riding the waves and enjoying the afterparty with locals made it an unforgettable experience. The venue offered great food and drinks, with shower stations available for cleaning up after a day at the beach. Additionally, they provided surfing lessons and even hosted free ladies' surf sessions.
First time doing a surf, and all I could say is that it was such a fun experience for me. The price was quite high for locals, but it’s alright for this activity. Also, had a bottle of wine with my friend while we waited for our turns to do the surfing. There was also live music which I’m not a huge fan of. Overall, it was such a great time

Unprofessional and Unfair Experience – Very Disappointed Our group of 8 arrived at the surf house at 11:15, ready to go. We politely asked if we could start our session at 11:30, but the staff told us it was only possible to begin on the hour. So we waited until 12:00, assuming that was our only option. When we finally started at 12:00, it was just the 8 of us – which was fine – but between 12:15 and 12:25, the staff allowed *another* 8 people into the session. That meant we had to share the wave with double the amount of people for the majority of our paid hour, drastically cutting down on our time and experience. To make matters worse, only *after* we had waited 45 minutes were we told that it *is* possible to book 30-minute sessions. That information would have made a huge difference if we had known it earlier, but by then it was already too late. Overall, this felt poorly managed and unfair. The lack of clear communication and inconsistent policies negatively impacted our experience. If you're paying for a specific time slot, you expect it to be organized and respected. Sadly, this was not the case. I hope management seriously reviews how they handle scheduling and customer service – because no one wants to feel misled or shortchanged, especially in a group. --- Would you like a shorter version for posting as a public review (e.g. Google Reviews or TripAdvisor)?

Disappointing Experience at Surf House Kata – Not Tourist Friendly Anymore I rode my motorcycle to the Kata area of Phuket — a popular tourist spot I’ve visited many times over the years. I decided to stop at Surf House, a place I’ve been to multiple times and always enjoyed. I arrived, ordered a beer, and asked about the happy hour. The menu clearly stated a discount applies when ordering two beers, which I confirmed with the barman. He asked if I wanted both beers immediately — I said no, and ordered the second one about 10 minutes later from another staff member. I placed the second order in Thai — a language I’m confident enough in for something simple like ordering a drink. The staff member just gave me a blank look. I repeated my order, and he switched to English, asking if I wanted a beer. After handing it to me, I asked (again in Thai) if he had understood my order, and he suddenly started shouting, claiming he was just confirming my order in English. He was visibly angry and shouting loudly, which was completely unnecessary and uncomfortable. When I went to pay, the happy hour discount wasn’t applied. I was told by another staff member that my second drink “wasn’t a happy hour drink” — which makes no sense based on what was shown to me earlier and the timing of my order. Overall: extremely disappointing. What used to be a fun and relaxed spot now feels hostile and unfriendly to tourists. Based on this experience, I won’t be returning — and I can’t recommend it anymore.

Scenic Walking Areas
Black Rock Viewpoint is a stunning spot in Phuket that offers a breathtaking panoramic view of Nai Harn Beach and the surrounding islands. While not as challenging to access as some other viewpoints, it does require some climbing. Located near Karon Viewpoint, it provides a higher vantage point with great views to the south. Despite potential obstacles like steep paths and wildlife, nature lovers and hikers will find this place worth visiting for its spectacular scenery.
When we visited Phuket, we were looking for a viewpoint that would offer us a full panoramic view of the island’s beauty. Black Rock Viewpoint was one of the recommended spots, and we found it to be truly breathtaking. We were deeply impressed by this viewpoint, despite the fact that getting there wasn’t the easiest journey. But this small adventure rewarded us with a view that was absolutely worth it. To reach the spot, we had to drive uphill on a rugged dirt road, which was quite challenging. We parked on the side of the road near the hiking trail. We encountered only 3-4 tourists along the way, which made it clear that this viewpoint is not very popular yet, possibly due to the difficulty of the journey. But once we were there, we decided to push on. We walked through the forest on a trail leading to the viewpoint. The hike wasn’t too far, but it was quite steep. After about 15-20 minutes, we emerged from the forest to the top of the hill, where we were greeted by a wide and high vantage point that provided a stunning view of the beaches below, along with the endless blue sea. It was incredibly beautiful. We were lucky enough to catch some tourists paragliding nearby, and we got a close-up view of the action, which was amazing. Overall, Black Rock Viewpoint is highly recommended. It’s a bit tiring, but definitely worth it.

Nice viewpoint, especially at sunset or dawn. I read some of the reviews and rushed up there to see the sunset and got there way too early. :-D You can drive quite easily up to the black rock with Pa Hindum sign (see pictures, I got there on a small scooter) and then turn to the left up the hill. If you are in a good shape, you can get to the viewpoint in 5 minutes or less.
Martin Z — Google review
One of Phuket’s most stunning and underrated viewpoints. A bit of a climb to get there, but absolutely worth it — panoramic views over Kata, Karon, and the Andaman Sea that feel straight out of a dream. Best enjoyed early morning or late afternoon when the light is soft and the breeze is perfect. A favorite stop when exploring the hills by e-bike. Peaceful, wild, and unforgettable. 🌄✨
Sawadeebike C — Google review
This is truly one of Phuket's best-kept secret viewpoints. t’s an unforgettable, off-the-beaten-path experience that rewards you with an absolutely breathtaking panoramic vista of Southern Phuket. From the top, you get sweeping views over the beachs and the surrounding islands. The serenity up here is unmatched, feeling worlds away from the busy beaches below. Getting here is an adventure. The road leading to the trail entrance is rough and the final hike is a short but steep 10-15 minute climb through the jungle. Wear sturdy shoes and bring water! Go for sunrise or sunset. The light is magical for photography, and the cooler temperature makes the steep climb much easier. Highly, highly recommend if you love adventure and incredible scenery!
Tun T — Google review
Fantastic viewpoint. Maps tells you to drive all the way in but the road terrain isn't very friendly for your average SUV. Upon turning in from the road, you'll be greeted by a low concrete wall off to your right after driving in a little. Park there (there'll probably be a car of two already parked), continue the rest on foot. It isn't a dirty hike, but its a distance (about 2km each way) Only toward the end will you have to hike for real, up a decent incline for around 20 minutes to the viewpoint. The area is huge up there, and it'll be a fantastic spot for a sunrise/sunset. Total hike from the car and back took about 1.5-2 hours (without any rush)
Dylan W — Google review
Stunning View! “Black Rock Viewpoint is totally worth the hike! The panoramic view over the ocean and surrounding islands is breathtaking — you feel like you’re on top of Phuket. The area is peaceful, with a mix of grass and rocky ground, perfect for taking photos or just relaxing and enjoying the fresh breeze. Highly recommended if you want an amazing natural spot away from the crowds!
Shaif — Google review
Black Rock Viewpoint is easily one of the best spots in Phuket to watch the sunset. The view is incredible — endless blue water, green hills, and a sky that turns golden in the evening. It’s so peaceful up there; all you hear are the waves far below and the wind through the trees. You can’t drive a sedan car up — the road is steep and rough, so you’ll need a 4WD, SUV, or ATV. There are taxis that take you up and back for about 200 THB per person. Totally worth it for the view and the calm, quiet atmosphere.
Nabil K — Google review
The view is stunning. There are 2 paths to get there, one from each side - you have to leave the main road to get to it. Very worth the short hike. We were left by car at the entrance where the quad rental was.

Simply amazing experience. The ambiance is just the beginning of the experience. Birds chirping at night (strange, very strange but blissful). We ordered one banana chocolate crepe and one savory with egg and cheese. Delicious will be an understatement. Especially the banana chocolate, exact balance of both, not oily nor unevenly cooked. Will recommend it 10 times out of 10.

We accidentally found this place and thought why we didn't come here earlier... They serve both sweet and savoury crepes. We had the traditional one with bananas and chocolate... Lovely place and very friendly owner - relaxed 😎 sitting in the shade, perfect coffee Latte, fruit smoothie and homemade breakfast. Excellent brown bread and croissant 🥐. Wish we were living close by to come more often. Thanks 🙏🏻 for staying open despite Covid19!

I’ve been coming here for 10 years whenever I’m in Rawai, and I never regret it. The lovely owner remembers every guest and truly cares for them. The breakfasts are delicious, and the orange juice is always fresh. A must-visit spot!

(4.5/5 Stars) While this place doesn't offer full range of breads and pastries like a Genuine "Bäckerei" in Europe, it offers a cheap-and-cheerful sumptuous breakfast ahead of its morning peers. I've had a very rich, yet tasteful Pork Gordon Bleu, sided by potato salad with the right amount of mustard. The proprietor is also very friendly to both locals and foreigners. No A/C but that ain't no fault.

As a German, I definitely expected something different from this "German bakery". It's more of a small Thai store with just a few tables and what is displayed at the counter as baked goods is unfortunately nowhere near what you would expect from a German bakery. There were only two loaves of bread, which didn't even look particularly good. My husband ordered an omelette with bread here and was very disappointed. The bread doesn't come close to the quality of German bread and even though we are in Thailand, there are many bakeries that offer much tastier and better baked goods. As I was really looking forward to German baked goods myself and was very disappointed here, I unfortunately have to leave a bad review. I'm sorry!

Service was very friendly. Very reasonable prices. Parking available. We had smoothies and the owner recommended the spring rolls which we ordered. The rolls were returned as they were frozen on the inside. Otherwise everything was well.

Wine Connection BZenter Rawai is a delightful spot for those craving Italian cuisine, particularly pizza and pasta. Their lunch special offers an enticing deal that includes a choice of pizza or pasta, salad, and a soft drink at an affordable price. Diners rave about the flavorful salad featuring roasted vegetables and the deliciousness of their pizzas with well-balanced crusts and toppings.
Top notch service. Khun View is excellent service oriented staff. Very happy & cheerful . The pizza was terrible. Amazing variety of wine selection. Nice music, good environment, reasonable prices amazing. Friendly staff well done keep up the great service level, but please improve the food quality.

Excellent pizza and pasta. Their lunch special of pizza or pasta, salad and soft drink is a great deal. The price is only 219 (241 with VAT and service charge) I had the lunch special several times. I really enjoyed the salad with roasted vegetables. The pizza crust, sauce and toppings were all very tasty. The pasta is great too. I will definitely be back.

I strongly advise against ordering meat at this restaurant. We ordered a steak, and no one asked how we would like it cooked. It arrived well-done. We asked for a medium-rare replacement, and they brought a new piece, but it turned out to be blue rare. No one came by to check if the doneness was okay, if we liked the food, or if it needed to be cooked more.

Ordered through the Grab app. Everything about this meal was perfect. Eye fillet was a perfect medium, tasty pepper gravy, fresh salad with dressing and even the chips where good. Highly recommend 👌 See photos 👍

Our favorite restaurant in Rawai, they have amazing food and its very affordable for western food. A nice steak at Villa Supermarket will cost as much a steak cooked to perfection with sides at Wine Connection. For good quality food, you can’t beat it. They also have specials every day.

Great place for a large group of people, staff were amazing, food was really good and this was the second wine connection I'd been to, whilst visiting. Highly recommend the Aussie steaks, pizzas, and sweet patato chips! Would be nice for a date too, and it was a lovely ambience.

great food, delicious wine. You need to choose the wine yourself, the waiters are not sommeliers and it is difficult for them to suggest something really not unusual, although they try. Takes a little long to prepare but overall a good place.

Boathouse Restaurant in Cherngtalay offers a unique dining experience with a blend of traditional Thai dishes and international flavors. The menu features creative dishes like Foie Gras Bites Thai Style, Tuna Tartar in Thai Style, Sea Bass Steak, Rice Berry Risotto, Coconut Prawn and Green Curry Sauce. The restaurant's interior design provides an intimate ambiance with indoor and outdoor dining areas, a counter bar, and BBQ terrace.
I recently had lunch at Boathouse and it was an incredible experience. The food was absolutely delicious, everything was cooked to perfection. Chef Jonathan was so friendly and engaging, making the entire lunch experience feel so special. The service was also excellent, with the staff being attentive and courteous. If you’re looking for a good atmosphere, lunch by the beach, I highly recommend. Thank you for incredible experience.

There really are no words to describe the level of service we received here tonight. Daniele you and your staff are an absolute credit to this place. Had a lovely meal at The Boathouse. The restaurant is right on the beach with beautiful views, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the setting. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was good across the board. Everything was nicely presented and full of flavour. Must have: The massaman curry. Rich, comforting and really well done. Great place for a beachfront meal with a relaxed vibe. Would definitely come back

We booked this restaurant to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary and we’re not disappointed. We arrived about 1/2 an hour before sunset and as requested had a beach front table. The views were beautiful and the food was delicious. The service was excellent.

The highlight of our visit was definitely their signature coffee—beautifully done and worth trying. I recommend not mixing the two layers, instead slurp it and let it blend in your mouth. We also ordered food, which was a little on the bland side, likely to suit the type of clientele they cater to. Once we asked for chillies, salt, and pepper on the side, it improved a lot. Nice to see a decent range of vegetarian options too. The location is stunning—right on the beachfront with uninterrupted views

The view is stunning right on the beach, the food was fresh and delicious (I tried the mushroom ragout with toast and a Greek salad). Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Perfect spot if you want to enjoy good food with a sea view. Highly recommended

It is a very affordable slice of luxury with a perfect location to watch the beach and sea and a classy feel. The burger was superb with nice toppings, the rum cocktail was excellent and the signature coffee was well worth trying at least twice. Highly recommend this location.

Enjoying high-end Thai food by Kata Beach was a lovely experience. We ordered the beef cheek green curry and lamb shank massaman. Both were excellent. The tom yum cocktail was pretty interesting too; some bold experimental cocktails end up tasting weird, but not in this case.

The Gallery Cafe Naiharn Phuket is a great place to visit when in the area. The food is amazing and the staff are very prompt and polite. They have a large parking lot on the back which is rare in this part of town, making the prices very reasonable. If you're looking for a nice lunch spot, this is definitely worth checking out!

This is what customer service is about. I have been living in Phuket for more than 4 years and fully understand parking restrictions. Just left the car 30mn and ended up paying 500 bath fee. Despite explaining to the owner or manager he keep saying there is a sign. How do you want people to visit your restaurant ? I explained this was temporary and apologize. The idea was only to get 500 bath. How smart is that. Sorry there are better coffee and restaurant offering better service. It’s not paying 500 bath its about service oriented.

Amazing Experience! 🍝🍕 This place is definitely worth a visit. We tried the pasta — absolutely delicious — and the pizza was perfectly made with an incredible flavor. Every dish was fresh and full of taste 😋. The drinks were also refreshing and tasty, adding to the great dining experience. Service is friendly and attentive without being rushed – you really feel welcomed. I will definitely be back to try more!

Nice atmosphere, plenty of space, friendly waitstaff. There was a promotion: buy one pizza, get another one for free (Margherita). The pizza was quite good. The burger was decent, average. Pay attention to the smoothies, they’re really tasty. The Orange Americano is the best we’ve tried here so far.

2nd review 2025: still really good pizza, i got the thai curry chicken pizza again, and it was better than last year. They changed the toppings and I love it just as much as last time. Definitely give thisnplace a try! 2 years straight and didn't miss! 1st 2024: I was there during low season when the deals were the best. Buy 1 get 1 pizza and happy hour drinks as well. Great price during that time. Other than that kinda pricey compared to other places. I always get the pizza cause I like how they do thai chicken curry pizza. I had both the red and yellow curry pizza. Both really good. When I had drinks I had a margarita, and the guy made a pretty good one. They have a big menu i never got to try but I hope to try more food there in the future.

After Beach Bar & Restaurant, a well-established establishment in Phuket, boasts stunning sea and beach views. Its modest appearance with low thatched roofs and wooden terraces on stilts against the hill may seem unassuming at first, but it becomes a hotspot for tourists seeking the best beach scenery at night. The reggae-themed restaurant offers a spacious deck for patrons to enjoy breathtaking sunset views over Kata Noi Beach.

Phenomenal! Cannot recommend enough, for me the meal I just had there was perfect. Service was spot on, food was lovely and the setting is amazing! The Bob Marley theme stops at the music and decor unfortunately but there's a bar across the road and up a hill you can blaze afterwards. Perfect

Nice hilltop located at south of kata beach. Too bad, i came not only for hilltop sunset but reggae. No music at all. Not even thai. Where is my Bab Marley?! Ok, here is the following story, i saw the staffs uniform with Bob Marley head at the back. I couldn't resist and ask, why no reggae music? Do they sell the staff uniform?? The answer is yes! They immediately turned on the music & showed me all colours for Polo & T shirt for 350 baht. Well, i grabbed myself one! Best shopping experience ever!

Outdoor Activities
Yanui Beach, located on the west coast of Phuket just south of Nai Harn, is a small and secluded sandy beach surrounded by trees. Despite its unassuming appearance, it offers a serene atmosphere for activities like snorkeling and kayaking, especially during sunset. The beach is known for its clear waters and beautiful views of nearby islands. It's considered an ideal spot for families seeking a peaceful retreat away from the busier beaches on Phuket's main island.
Beautiful beach and great spot to see some fish and do snorkeling with kids. Sometimes plastic is shored, but there are Thais working on cleaning it constantly, with a rake...
Mistaken Π — Google review
A gorgeous beach which is fabulous for snorkelling with wonderful fish a couple of metres from the waters edge but the downside is the rubbish floating in the water which is so sad to see.
David J — Google review
It’s very beautiful here. But a lot of sharp big rocks in the sand. Many friendly dogs 🐕
Daniel S — Google review
My visit to Yanui Beach in Phuket was a delightful escape from the island’s busier spots. Tucked between Windmill Viewpoint and Promthep Cape, this small, crescent-shaped cove offers soft golden sand and clear, turquoise waters perfect for a serene day out. Arriving early via Bolt from Kata (15-minute ride, with 250-400 THB), the beach was tranquil, with hardly any crowds. Snorkeling around the northern headland and rocky promontory was fantastic, vibrant corals and fish abound, with gear rentals at 100 THB. Kayaking to Koh Man, a nearby island, was a highlight for just 100-150 THB/hour. The beach’s laid-back vibe, framed by lush hills, is ideal for families and couples. Two small restaurants across the road, like Royros, serve tasty Thai dishes (200 THB) and refreshing coconut drinks. However, litter in the water was noticeable, and low tide exposes rocks, making swimming tricky. No sunbeds or umbrellas keep it unspoiled, but bring a towel for shade under trees. Parking is limited, so arrive early. Despite minor drawbacks, Yanui’s charm and proximity to stunning viewpoints make it a must-visit for a peaceful Phuket beach day.
Atul H — Google review
I think this was the best beach we visited so far in Phuket. The scenary was very beautiful. There are many spots to take good pictures, especially the rocky cape area. It was not very crowded as well. Highly recommended!
Abe — Google review
A small but stunning beach located between Nai Harn and Promthep Cape in southern Phuket. The water is clear and calm, perfect for swimming, kayaking, and snorkeling. The beach has soft sand, a few shady trees, and a relaxed vibe that makes it feel hidden from the crowds. You can rent kayaks, grab a quick meal from local stalls, or just enjoy the view of the nearby island right in front of the beach. Pros: Beautiful clear water and clean beach. Great for swimming and snorkeling. Peaceful atmosphere with less crowd. Cons: Small beach area can feel busy on weekends. Limited parking space.
Akhil R — Google review
Ya Nui Beach is a charming cove located in the southern part of Phuket, Thailand. This small beach is celebrated for its picturesque scenery, featuring soft, powdery sand and clear, blue-green waters. Its natural beauty make it a favored spot for both relaxation and various water activities. The beach’s rocky areas and clear waters provide excellent conditions for snorkeling. One can explore vibrant marine life close to the shore, with snorkeling gear available for rent. Visitors can rent kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. Paddling out to the nearby Koh Man island, situated roughly 700 meters offshore, is a popular activity when the sea is calm. A couple of local restaurants are situated across the road from the beach, offering a variety of Thai dishes and refreshments. Overall, Ya Nui Beach provides a serene and scenic environment, ideal for those seeking a more intimate beach experience with opportunities for adventure and relaxation alike.
Gaurav K — Google review
Yanui Beach is one of those small, hidden corners in Phuket that instantly makes you slow down. I’ve been there several times, and every time it feels like stepping into a postcard — turquoise water, soft sand, and that gentle, peaceful energy that’s often missing at the bigger beaches like Kata or Patong. It’s a compact bay, tucked between Promthep Cape and Windmill Viewpoint, and you can actually see both if you swim out a little or paddle on a kayak. What I like most about Yanui is the atmosphere. There are usually a few families, some snorkelers, and travelers who just want to relax — no loud music or beach clubs, just nature and the sound of waves. The snorkeling here is surprisingly good, especially around the rocks and the small island just 200 meters offshore. I’ve spotted colorful fish, sea urchins, and even a few little octopuses there. There’s also a local vibe — small food stalls, Thai grilled chicken, coconut shakes, and a few kayak rentals. Parking is easy, and the beach is perfect for a sunset swim before heading up to Promthep for the view. For me, Yanui isn’t about luxury or crowds; it’s about simplicity — sun, salt, and peace. One of the few beaches in Phuket where time really feels like it stands still. Highly recommend you to visit 🔥👍

Nestled away and hidden from plain sight, Ao Sane beach is a small gem that can be spotted from Nai Harn Beach. Accessible through The Nai Harn hotel, it comprises three intimate sandy bays connected by a few beach bungalows. This petite and uncrowded spot boasts magnificent rocks and offers a tranquil escape from the bustling beaches found elsewhere in the Rawai area.
A truly stunning beach—peaceful and serene. The area is gradually becoming private, but it's still worth a visit. The sea is clean and beautiful, with water that isn’t overly salty. The shoreline is covered with gorgeous little stones, adding to its charm. However, there are sharp, larger stones under the water that could cause deep cuts, so caution is necessary. The waves here provide an incredible and unforgettable experience!
Shamseer ( — Google review
The length of this beach is approximately 330 meters - it is a small, comfortable beach for a quiet rest. Ao Sane is not well known among tourists. The flora of this beach consists of trees of mixed species and a large number of beautiful, varied boulders! The sand on the beach is hard, gray-yellow color. Shallow entrance to the sea. The water in the sea is transparent, bluish color! In high season there is almost no wind on the beach! Here is a large and beautiful coral reef! Few people know, but this beach is divided into three zones by natural barriers, in the form of a large cluster of stones. In the north of the beach you can find yourself in a deserted area and quietly rest there away from people, under the shade of overhanging trees. In some places there is not a very good entrance to the sea. There may be large rocks on the bottom, but the water is very clear and you can see them with the naked eye! Full information with video and easy navigation - in the app 👉 PHUKETON

Ao Sane as it was - is no more. Like so much of Phuket - which I first visited in 1975 - it is in the process of being concreted and utterly trashed. The water was nice and small reef fish plentiful though when I swam over from Nai Harn earlier today (7 April 2025)..

Is a mess - building site and beach is not accessible.. such a shame this quiet retreat has now succumbed to this … it maybe great once the construction is finished but I don’t think this will be for some time …
Darren M — Google review
A shame. This used to be the best snorkeling beach on mainland Phuket, but now its prime real estate is being sold off for private villas.
John G — Google review
Whilst there is construction work going on just behind the beach, the snorkeling here is great, particularly out to the right following the line of rocks. I saw many colourful tropical fish and there's no current so very safe. Not too many people come here as it's a bit more remote and there's not much space for parking. If you're coming, best to use a motorcyle, there is a small amount of parking at the top of the earth path leading down to the beach. Regarding facilities, a guy has set up with a cold chest selling cans of soda for 30 Baht and there's a small cabin serving hot snacks. If you can ignore the construction then it's a very good place to snorkel.
Miles M — Google review
To reach the place use a bike and after go down to the beach. Access is easier on the left side.Despite the ongoing constructions of the new Baan Krating, the beach is not so frequented; shady gross sand with some big rocks here and there; snorkelling is decent, with some nice underwater places about 3 - 8 meters of dept, with plenty marine life. There are some corals bleached but still largely worth it for Phuket.
Bogdan C — Google review
Nice quiet beach (except for the construction) with large rocks and clear waters. Great for snorkelling and just chilling. The road is narrow and parking is impossible for cars. Best to come via motorbike and park on the top of the hill. There are steps leading down to the beach. Do bring along your own food and water as there are no facilities or sale of anything. Bring your trash with you when you leave.

Perfect Spot for a Quick, Delicious Lunch I stopped here for a quick lunch with friends on the way to central Phuket, and from the start, I was impressed by the service. Thai restaurant
Tucked away under a charming thatched roof, Rawai View Cafe and Bar offers an unforgettable dining experience with breathtaking vistas of Rawai Bay. This delightful eatery serves a fusion of exquisite Thai and Western dishes, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors alike. Since its opening in May 2015, it has quickly become a go-to destination for food enthusiasts, including esteemed restaurant managers who come to savor the culinary delights while soaking in the serene atmosphere.
Food and selection of drinks are great. Also presentation is pretty awesome. Place only miss more people. Well, it is out of season as I learned. And what I would definitely set is some deep blues music 🎶. Place would be even more cozy and sexy. (And I would definitely clean the beach infront of. That was little disturbing. I understand that this might be not “your job”… But to go extra mile is not bad ☺️

A Restaurant with a Beautiful View but Inconsistent Food I’ve visited this restaurant twice, and while the experience was generally pleasant, the food quality was much better on our first visit. On my first visit, I was really impressed—the dishes were flavorful, well-prepared, and truly enjoyable. However, on my second visit, the food was just average, lacking the same depth of flavor and attention to detail. That said, the location is fantastic, with a stunning sea view that makes for a great dining atmosphere. The service is also a highlight—attentive, friendly, and welcoming, which added to the overall experience. If the kitchen can maintain the same quality across visits, this place has the potential to be outstanding. For now, it's a good spot for the view and service, but the food could be more consistent.

The food was generally good – I especially enjoyed the Massaman curry. The calamari wasn’t really to my taste. I was a bit disappointed because my change was incorrect and some money was missing, and they still added a 10% service charge, which felt a bit unfair.
Judith S — Google review
Decent dinner here, genuine Thai food served with a flare. Taste authentic without adjustments for tourist tastebuds. It’s right on the shoreline and I bet the sunset will be nice here. Parking space is limited, but that’s fine I guess because tourists come on mopeds. For a dinner with a view, it’s pretty ok.

Really nice place with a good view. Food as great. Loved the fried squid and the sauces that we got. I would definitely order that again. I also got seafood pad thai that was good and filling for sure. Drink was okay nothing to write about. Prices were good too. Some places with a view or being fancy are pretty pricey. But not so much this place.

We chose Rawai View for a special occasion, a birthday! The restaurant is nestled at the end of Rawai Beach and offers a unique view on Rawai bay. The food was quite elevated and tasty. The staff was super attentive and nice and came with candles at the time of the dessert singing for us. For Thailand ; this restaurant is not cheap. On par with price served at international hotel resorts. But the experience and the view is definitely worth. You go there for a reason. Else there is plenty of other options on the main road of Rawai.

The best food I’ve had on this international trip so far. We’ve been to Hong Kong, Bangkok and Singapore… hands down the freshest, best tasting food so far. The spicy crab meat soup was a hit for the whole table! We are Americans with various different spice tolerances and medium spicy was great. All of the food was amazing and the view was BEAUTIFUL! Totally recommend you check out this gem.
Courtney C — Google review
A tucked away gem, you will not be disappointed spending time here with a cold drink and fantastic view. Absolutely stunning and unbeatable view of Rawai Beach with good elevation, shade and breeze on a warm day. Overlooking a charming quiet corner of the bay. Has 3 levels with the best views on top, but also having private access to its own sandy beach, complete with a rope swing beside the water. Atmosphere is phenomenal for a chill whilst enjoying the coast. Staff were fantastic. Food was good without being amazing. Was happy with everything, but felt Thai food was slightly westernised. If that's what you're after it's your lucky day. Pizzas were lovely from their real pizza oven.

Italian restaurant
Trattoria del Buongustaio Nai Harn is a charming Italian restaurant located on a hill overlooking the bay, offering a perfect location to enjoy a meal. The restaurant boasts a fair selection of wines and cold beer served in ice buckets for optimal enjoyment. Guests can indulge in delectable dishes such as Gnocchi Gorgonzola and well-cooked steak with various condiments.
I live on Phuket, and this is my favourite Italian restaurant. It's affordable, the food is great (I love their fresh baked bread), they have legit pasta dishes and pizza, and even a few beers on draught (plus a decent wine selection). It's owned/run by an Italian couple for a decade give or take that have been there every time I've visited (lovely people), so you know it's the real deal. But most of all, that VIEW! It has an open air deck that overlooks Nai Harn beach and Cape Phrom Thep, one of the prettiest views on the island, all for a reasonable price! It's odd to get to as you have to drive through The Nai Harn resort (feels like you aren't allowed the first time, but you are), and car parking is limited; recommended motorbike, but either way you'll find parking. Definitely recommend.

Amazing atmosphere from real Italian hosts with the most fresh Thai seafood! Great attentive stuff and really good choice of wine! Breathtaking views and restaurant’s decor makes you forget that you’re actually on planet earth, seams like your somewhere in Paradise Planet!

If you stay in Nai Harn you will soon realize that you don’t have so many option for good food in close distance! This is nice Italian restaurant with a great view! If you stay in Nai Harn I recommend you to try this place out if you look for some decent Italian food. The price is more like western standard and therefore a bit expensive in comparisons to Thailand standards but I had a good meal there and a fantastic view during sunset! They also have a telescope which you can use :)

Jasmine Seafood is a delightful beachfront dining spot that offers a diverse menu, reminiscent of the extensive offerings at the Cheesecake Factory. While it may not be a destination restaurant, it's perfect for those seeking convenience and good food without breaking the bank. Diners can enjoy their meals either indoors with fans or outside under beautiful pine trees overlooking the ocean.
The staff were so kind and outgoing, the food was incredible and the atmosphere right at the ocean so beautiful! Definitely stop here!

Best Thais food, delicious and fresh cooked and they are very clean. Hygien is so important. Don't go to Mama Sea food becaus my husband got sick and poisoned of the food!. Jasmine also delivers in your hotel.

Lots of good food choices. On naiharn beach. You can sit inside with a fan or out under the impressive pine trees looking at the ocean. I have eaten here several times. The spicy fried duck salad was fantastic. It was like a papaya salad only with duck instead of shrimp and it was topped with cashews.
Cyndie G — Google review
Average food at average prices. Service was good and the food came out pretty fast. I was concerned because many reviews mentioned small food portions but the plates were all a decent portion side. I don’t know what some of these people were expecting. You eat here for convenience; it’s beach front and although not cheap it’s also not super expensive. This is not the type of place you go out of your way for. Their menu is as long as the Cheesecake Factory menu (IYKYK), so don’t expect top notch quality. Also, I’d stay away from the western food. The thai food was okay. Overall: 3.5/5.
Axxley — Google review
Great food at reasonable price. Friendly staff and provided us with mosquito repellent spray. Only downside was the salt pepper scallops, not what we expected, mini and not much flavour. Mango sticky rice was delicious!
Tanya — Google review
We ate meal after meal here as a family group of kids adults and grandparents and it never disappointed. The ladies who looked after us were kind and patient, price was good, food was excellent. Getting drinking ice to put in the wine never any trouble. Delicious gyoza and spring rolls, spicy seafood stir fry also top knotch and chicken pad krapow. Can’t wait to return

Friendly service. Good tasting and fresh food with wok hey in the veggie. I would describe the rest of the food as remniscent of a hearty home styled meal. Tom yum soup was interestingly served in a coconut!

We have been in Thailand for a couple of weeks and this was easily the best breakfast we’ve had. Peaceful little nook, delicious well cooked food, very nice people. Update 2/6/25: we are back again a year later and had another great breakfast this morning. Noy is the owner and she is awesome, happy to chat with her and will be back again. This place is a little oasis:)

Extremely lovely place to drop in for breakfast. The owner here takes such good care and she is an amazing host. The food was delicious and the portions were hearty too. They have a wide range to choose from. Their homemade hash browns are to die for. They are a bit on the greasy side, but one meal here won't hurt you. The coffee is reasonably good as well even though it's not Speciality coffee. The place is great, full of natural light and plants everywhere. I would recommend to try them out for sure!
Rishab K — Google review
All the food here is fresh and prepared with care. Delicious breakfasts. Even if you order off the menu, they can fix you up. As a side bonus, come here often and you’ll get to know the owner, Noi. She is fantastic and engaging. Great English and great personality. She’s only open until 2:00 pm, so get here early and enjoy a fantastic breakfast or lunch experience!

Very good breakfast; I had the big one and it kept me going all day. I’d recommend the kitchen put two teabags in the pot or ask, I Lipton’s yellow label makes for a very insipid cuppa :) bacon crispy, sausage tasty, beans not too sweet, excellent service and speedy too. Nice environment, reasonable price

Outstanding quality breakfast. Everything was cooked to order and as requested. Had the pork chop and eggs. Pork chop was cooked just right and very juicy. The owner was extremely hands on and very personable. She expects great quality and you can see everything is done just right. Art Galleries
Phuket Art Village, also known as Rawai Art Village, is a charming community of artists living and working in their own galleries amidst nature. The village showcases a diverse range of colorful creations including paintings, sculptures, puppets, and murals. As you stroll through the small lane leading to Rawai Beach, you'll discover various little galleries featuring unique styles from local artists. Visitors might even catch an artist at work during their visit.
Nice art Space with good ambience, chilling, feel like home, even if you just know everyone here . Feel sad , can't try burger here. But have a good time and new experience.
Saiyajin P — Google review
I met wonderful artists there and some of them were creating art while I was wandering around. The artists live and create here. From a girl who was painting some Parisian street, I got to know that three artists are currently living here. I talked to one of them. His name was Pui, he was one of the founders of that place back then in 2011. He is from Chiang Mai originally, graduated from Bangkok university, and after that got scholarship in Japan to learn about peculiar technique of mezzotint. Mezzotint is a printmaking process that produce a matrix by roughening a metal plate with thousands of little dots made by a metal tool with small teeth, called a "rocker". Pui showed me his house and his works, also made me a tea. He said that he built it out of wooden boats that were destroyed by Tsunami in 2004. That’s why every piece here has a different color, it’s because it originates from a fisherman boat color - explains the author. By the way, his house is also a small cafe where he serves himself. You can buy tea, coffee, pastries and, of course, his artworks. Wonderful atmosphere and definitely worth visiting while you are in Phuket.

Truly cool, art struck place. A few artists have their workshops there, it’s really colorful, sadly Covid period hit it a bit but they still keep going. If you enjoy art and art environment you can come there just to experience it and chill there for a while
Michał K — Google review
A gem. Cute little place, made up of 5-6 small houses-turned-workshops. Niran the artist works outside in a wood workshop, surrounded by his art. There is a painting shop, a wood shop, a small photo shop. You can enjoy coffee, and a nice breeze. A place to pass the time for 30-40 minutes and also if you are looking for local arts.

Super cute spot! Owner was so friendly and made me a dish off the menu for take away. Main meal was a spicy noodle that had right heat level and best one I’ve had in town. The old sewing machine tables and country theme is adorable and cute. Prices super reasonable!

Best there is in Phuket. This has been my go to place for 8 years and the food has never disappointed. The massaman with roti is on another level. Been bringing many people here troughout the years and everyone loves the food. Very resonable prices and the owner always welcome you with a smile :)

Yes. Friendly nice owner. Always smile 😊 But he work alone 😱😱he do everything by himself: take order, bring food, drinks, make drinks, clean the table, even folds napkins by himself 😳 he need a help I guess. Food is good, price is cheap. But location is so close to the road, noisy. I order chicken cashew, it’s my fav. Well, this is not the right chicken cashew 😂🤣🤣 they add tomato instead pepper. Anyway recommend try chicken cashew here too!! A lot of chicken! A lot ! And no spicy 😋 Chicken cashew and rice and mango smoothie 160 baht for all
Alesiya R — Google review
Expecting more given the rave reviews. Asking price for the food here is quite high for the decor, location, portion and quality when there are better/cheaper options not far from here. Food is pretty good, though I wouldn’t say it would knock your socks off. Portion could definitely be bigger for the price. Decor could do with an update.

Sandwich shop
If you're in Nai Harn and craving a satisfying meal, Lucky 13 Sandwich is definitely worth a visit. Located conveniently near the Wyndham Grand Nai Harn, this eatery boasts an extensive menu featuring sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, and wraps. They often have enticing daily promotions; for instance, on my Tuesday visit, I enjoyed their buy one get one free smash burger deal. I opted for the cheeseburger and bacon & cheese burger—both were delicious with soft buns and juicy patties.
Checked out this burger joint which is near to the hotel we were staying at (Wyndham Grand Nai Harn). ✨ their menu consists of sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, wraps. They have like different daily promos. We visited on a Tuesday and it was buy 1 free 1 on smash burgers. ✨ we had the cheeseburger (200 baht) and Bacon & cheese burger (220 baht). Plus 2 drinks (passion fruit lemonade and lemonade). Burger buns were nice and soft, patties were juicy and decent enough. Total bill: 638 baht ($20/RM84.60)

Decent place to get a western fix. They have a decent spread on their menu and the prices are reasonable. After we ordered, I read where several people got food poisoning. As I was just getting over food poisoning and this was supposed to be comfort food, I was a little worried. We were both fine, and those negative reviews were from 7 months prior. They probably hired a proper chef with western hygiene standards. The sandwiches we ordered were generous with meat, which is always my biggest complaint with sandwiches. We will go back.
Austen — Google review
The place has a rich sandwiches menu. I came here for the burger. Ordered American Mobi(260 bhat) with double patty(95). Beef pattie here is 150 gm. With chang beer(80 bhat). The burger comes without fries or drink. Took about 15 minutes to make so its all freshly coocked here. Bit expensive comparingto other burger joints in the area. The bun was perfect in size and texture. The Burger had bacon, thick cheese, and plenty of tomatoes and onions. Which I took off off course. The patties were cooked medium well. Tastes kindda good, but very stiff. Very lean. I would rate this Burger 7/10. The general vibe here is nice with outdoor seatings. Clean WCs, classy tables, and parking area for motorcycles. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a lean, thick burger.

Tried a number of dishes here, all delicious. Particularly loved the Shawarma wraps. Food not the cheapest in the area but the quality is high with many western options on the menu. They have daily specials such as 2 for 1 which is great for couples. Highly recommended.

Delicious western food 👍🏻 I was impressed by number of different sandwiches and burger in menu. Even though I’m not a fan of such food, I liked it. I chose falafel wrap — it was good. Great condominiums, the pool on the 8th floor is amazing. The price is a bit expensive.

My son and I rented an Airbnb for a month at this location. The roof top pool is fabulous. The bar and kitchen staff are very nice. The gym and security are an addition. The location is a short walk to beach, bar, groceries, and food
L'Tanya P — Google review
We loved renting an apartment here. The gym and pool on the top floor are also really nice. Reception and the door/security guards are also very friendly and kind.

Parking entrance very big angle, sometime can hit the bottom of the car. The rooms are really nice, well furnitured. Beautiful relax area on the roof top with infinity pool.

Very bad sound isolation. Some bar or night club near. I can feel even vibrations. The apartments itself ok.
Andrii B — Google review
Beautiful luxury apartments, well designed and comfortable. Rooftop pool is phenomenal.

Coconut Rawai is a great place to go for live music. A different band plays every night, and on Thursdays they have quiz night. The audience is very relaxed and the service is friendly. You can find delicious food here too, especially if you opt for something hot on the plate!
A really great place for good beer and as the best live music and only a 5minute walk from my hotel! The Rawai palm resort. All the staff too are very friendly and accommodating.Recommend 100%

This is to the New Coconut... After renovation 2025 they have now closed Walls around and aircon, its now an "inside music Club".... but lost his charming attitude. It Was one of our favorite location for years, Funny and Fancy Bands with lot of interaction.. and you could smoke... :-( now the Sound accoustic is not the best.. loud hall from the concrete walls. Smoking outside... Still nice location but lost definitly his Great Thai style Attitude from the past . We are sad...we lost one of our favorite places... still live music during the week.;-)

The best pub in Rawai, the staff are very friendly and the food and drinks very fairly priced and value for money. Whenever I visit Phuket I don’t miss visiting Coconut Rawai enjoy some live music and some drinks. They play different kind of music throughout the week. The best is you can also sing 🎤 with the band.
Virosh P — Google review
If you like drinking warm beer 🍺 I recommend you frequent Coconut at Rawai Beach Bar. We do like to have a beer 🍺 before we go out for dinner. Coconut Bar is conveniently close to our hotel. But for the 3rd time in a row we had reason to complain about the beer temperature. This time I complained bitterly to the staff, and explained that we won't ever be back. In Thailand's heat and humidity you really do need a cold refreshing beer. Not possible at Coconut Bar when they have the refrigerator thermostat set at 5.7c. [Photo supplied]. I cannot recommend this place.

We came here a few times because our friends love this place. The vibe is cool, the staff is super nice, and the cocktails are actually really good. But the music is just too loud we couldn’t even talk to each other at the table. If they turned the volume down a bit , it would be an awesome spot to hang out.
Kevin — Google review
We called in to Coconut at Rawai Beach for a couple of drinks after a busy day of touring. We were warmly greeted by staff and ordered a couple of 500ml draft Heinekens at 180 baht each, a little on the pricey side. We also ordered a glass of house red which was good, and fairly priced at 180 baht. Whilst there a live band started playing at around 830pm, mainly the older style 60/70's type music, and customers were enjoying themselves. The staff were super friendly, always smiling and attentive. We only stayed an hour or so as we were tired from our days activities but Coconut at Rawai Beach is a good choice to visit if your are after a bit of old fashioned pub entertainment.
Alfred R — Google review
Come for the beer specials not the food just yet but maybe soon. Food tasted like it wasn’t quit as fresh as it should have been and the smoked salmon with cream cheese had no cream cheese. They tried to use Gorgonzola …yuck. But beer was cold and well priced. I’ll come back for the happy hour for sure.
Garrett P — Google review
This is the place where I hung out almost every evening and let great friends. The great live music bands give a great show every night. If you like listening to music, having a drink, being waited by good staff and make good friends, this is the place!

With its vibrant orange walls and friendly staff, it's the perfect spot to indulge in authentic Indian cuisine from various regions of India. Highway Curry stands out as a hidden gem for food enthusiasts who appreciate flavorful and healthy options.
I used to be skeptical about Indian cuisine and had passed by this place many times. But one day I decided to give it a try — and now it’s one of my favorite spots in Rawai. Friendly staff, fast service, delicious food, and they’re open until 11 PM The portions are quite big, so it’s best to come with friends and share a few dishes. My favorite dishes: chicken korma, butter chicken, arabic salad, chicken soup and mango lassie

I'm a self described Indian cuisine connoisseur... As Indian food in SE asia/Thailand goes, this was pretty good! Nicely balanced flavours throughout the curries we ordered, great naan bread, and potentially the best onion bhaji I've ever tried.. Good service. Clean, tidy, and plentiful. Reasonably priced. Perhaps a little on the upper side of prices.. but still reasonable. The music was on and off and jumping between genres which can be disturbing/distracting whilst enjoying a conversation and dining.. Overall not really any complaints. Properly decent curry house. 8.5/10 Worth a visit.

Had a really good dinner at Highway Curry in Rawai. They have tasty vegan options and the food was full of flavor. The staff was friendly and the place felt nice and relaxed. A good spot if you like Indian or Thai food, especially for vegans!
Viraj S — Google review
Delicious flavours, big variety, fully vegetarian options available. Prepared to taste. You can ask to make your dish less or more spicy as you prefer. Huge variety of chicken and rice dishes.

Absolutely phenomenal food!! Delicious, one of the best Indians I’ve ever had. The service was great, staff are friendly and welcoming. Good prices and honestly could not fault the food. They also understood what vegan was and were able to adapt to our preferences!! Amazing 👏🏻 🔥 Also you have to try the bread that was filled with mash potato.. not sure the name but it was incredible.

Very delicious and authentic Indian food in Phuket. We visited thrice in 2 days. The best part was this restaurant was at a walking distance from our resort. Loved their pindi chana and dal tadka. Mr. Shyam’s hospitality and service were simply amazing :)

At the top without hesitation, the staff is very pleasant and friendly with a magnificent setting. What can I say about the food that transports you to India. Quality and quantity without moderation. I can only recommend it to you.

The food is flavorful with good portions and reasonable prices, making it a favorite among visitors. The ambience is nicely decorated, suitable for diners of all ages. One must-try dish is the cheesecake, which many have raved about as the best they've ever had.
The restaurant serves Halal Thai and Pakistani cuisines. The restaurant has a nice ambience. The staff were very well mannered and professional. Such a great restaurant in Phuket. We've been here for just over a week and been out around the island trying different food and this place has been one of our favourites to the point we've been multiple times. Food is great and flavourful. Portions are good as are the prices. Whatever you do make sure you try the cheesecake, best I've ever had. Highly recommended halal restaurant in Phuket with a great variety of dishes.
