Grotte di Castellana, located 40km southeast of Bari, is Italy's longest natural subterranean network. Discovered in 1938, the cave system features a 3.2KM-long and 230-foot deep tour route with stunning limestone formations such as stalactites and stalagmites. The highlight is the Grotta Bianca (White Grotto), adorned with delicate stalactites.
Amazing experience. We have done the Speleonight tour! My daughters were super enthusiastic. The guides were super kind and professional. Angelo and Rosanna thank you for your work. Super suggested.

You are not allowed to take pictures beyond a certain point. For me, the most amazing caves I ever saw. The experience is totally worth it. The entire area around is also very nice. It's not too slippery, not too cold. The guides are nice, tours are available in many languages. Booking in advance is recommended
Karina A — Google review
It was like Cheddar Gorge in England, on steroids. Definitely worth a visit. You can only take photos in the first cave which was the least amazing, because of a risk of flash damaging natural fungi etc. This was the least amazing cave. I went on an arranged tour.
Jane S — Google review
Nice cave but for us the experience was totally ruined by the 'can't be bothered' miserable attitude of the staff. One in the front and one in the back making sure that nobody took a surreptitious photograph, apparently, we were told because of the copyright of the company. I don't think you can copyright caves. More to do with the guards wanting to get through as quickly as possible. We were put in a massive group of around 100. All different nationalities, with an 'English Speaking' guide, although I'm English and I was picking up maybe 3 words of each sentence it was that bad. I could hardly see above people's heads we were so tightly packed and moving so quickly. No time to stop and admire the cave .. just rushed through like cattle. Twice we passed small Italian groups, all ambling along taking flash photos and video, yet we were rushed through so fast on the uneven floors, most of it badly lit. I'm surprised nobody fell and had an accident. We've been in lots of caves. Usually you go through alone, with headsets explaining the system. Some have music and light shows, making it very dramatic. This one is just boring. Not worth €18 per person. Total rip off.
Esro — Google review
Great experience! The 50 min tour suitable for small kids (4 & 6 y.o. enjoyed it). A bit to brief for adults/teenagers. During a 1km walk you're going to see a few amazing stone formations, hear a bit of history about the caves, and have a chance to imagine how this place looked like before it was turned into a tourist attraction. No need for any special shoes or outfits - a jacket and a pair of sneakers would do.
Wojtek C — Google review
Fantastic caves, but the experience is totally spoiled by the way it's run. It started badly when we were charged to park out car in a large car park in the village centre not far from the caves. But since the caves are the only attraction in town, the cost of parking ought to be included in the ticket price for visiting the cave. After buying our tickets, we were shown to the "planetarium" which is a miniature imax-style surround cinema where they played an animated film about possible alien life on other planets. But nobody could see it. The projector was so feeble that it took a couple of minutes of dark adaptation to seven see the image. And then people kept opening the door, causing bright sunshine to flood in and ruin the dark adaptation. They also give you pretty terrible 3D glasses that make the picture even dimmer. I guess this planetarium show is there to stop kids getting bored between tours of the caves, and it's a nice idea in principle. But the fact that they didn't invest in a decent projector system and didn't fit a light-proof entry system means it actually irritating for a lot of people. I heard lots of murmurings of "well that's 30 minutes of my life I'll never get back" upon leaving. But my biggest gripe of all is the actual cave tour itself. Not only do they try to stop you from taking photos beyond the first cave, but there's no mention of this at all before you buy your tickets. I LOVE visiting caves and have visited hundreds of them over the years. This is the first time I've been prevented from taking photos. I asked one of the two ladies what the reasoning was, and she said "Because it's our copyright". Which is total nonsense. Nobody has copyright over things that they did not create. And caves are created by the action of water over millions of years, they aren't man-made! I ignored their protestations and continued to take plenty of photos. In the end they stopped trying to stop me. I later looked up what possible genuine reasons they might have, and it's to protect the rocks from the effects of flash. Well why isn't that a problem in any other cave anywhere else? In any case I was taking photos and videos using a phone and a GoPro. There was no flash involved. If they really have a problem with people bringing proper cameras with powerful flash, then they should just tell people that photos are okay as long as there is no flash. Another problem is with the way the tour is guided. The tour guide at the front made an effort for people to gather around her before speaking, but her very soft voice was impossible to hear, especially since some of the visitors had brought babies who were crying the whole way. Inside the caves all you could hear is the crying of babies. Many cave site tour operators get round this by using radio mics with speakers hidden behind rocks in the caves. That way the guide doesn't have to shout, and everyone can hear easily. But no, there was nothing like that here. In summary, my biggest gripe is about their ridiculous ban on photography. For some of us, taking photos of the spectacular rock formations is a big reason for visiting in the first place. Admittedly they do say "no photography" in the guide they give you, but you don't see that until after you've bought your ticket. Pretty nasty way to operate. There's no good reason for them to ban photography, especially if you're doing it without a flash. But if you're to afraid to stand up for yourself, enjoy some of mine.
Alex T — Google review
Cool tourist attraction, but be sure to wear comfortable shoes with good grip — the caves are very slippery inside. The long tour was interesting, though I’d recommend the shorter 50-minute option.
Ian B — Google review
Excellent visit to these extraordinary caves. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. A lot more F walking, but very safe to do so - and there's a lift to take you back to the surface!

Water & Amusement Parks
Acqua Splash – Alberobello is a family-friendly water park where you can spend around six hours enjoying the fun slides and clean water. The food options are tasty and reasonably priced, offering a variety of choices including pizza, fries, sandwiches, ice cream, and coffee. The friendly lifeguards ensure a safe experience with minimal wait times for the slides. While the slides do close for a few hours, it provides an opportunity to rest and have meals during hot weather.
This place was 2 kms out of town but it was excellent . The host was super friendly and nice and the place was , nice and peaceful

All fine, nice Aqua park with fast slides. Clean area and friendly atmosphere. However obligatory swimming cap is quite dissapointing, same Like extra paid sunbed for Trullo house guests.
Piotr B — Google review
The place is very expensive for the number of slides and activities avaliable. However, its high price kept the place quiet, so the slides were free to use without queuing
Paula M — Google review
Came here as a family on a Thursday in August. Arrived at 9 - easy to park. Waited around 10 minutes to get tickets and escorted to our rented sun loungers. It remained quiet all morning. It’s a small park, 2 big slides for bigger kids (and fun loving mums and dads!), and three smaller slides for younger ones. We didn’t queue for longer than 2 minutes for any slide all morning. The pool isn’t very big but again, it is great for kids as it’s shallow in most places. There are really small slides at the poolside for very little ones. Park is clean, staff are friendly. Half a day was plenty for us.
Nick J — Google review
This is a cute / crowded little waterpark but BEWARE. One of the slides damaged my back and swimming costume and the waterpark would not refund me when I contacted them by email after the visit (I didn't realise until I got home). They said no-one else had had this issue but on reflection I saw two people with ripped shorts on the day and just assumed they had been a bit rough on the slides.
Olivia — Google review
Great day out. Kids enjoyed the slides and the pool. The area was clean and all the staff were friendly. The girl who served us immediately swapped to English to help us when she realised my Italian wasn't very good. There was no queues for the slides either.
Stevo C — Google review
We had a fun family day here (6 hours +). Not the biggest but slides are fun, water is clean and food was tasty (pizza, fries, sandwich, ice cream, coffee and more) and reasonable price. Lifeguards friendly and no long wait for slides when we went on a Thursday. Slides do close for a couple of hours but time to eat and rest when it's very hot was welcome. Still plenty of time to go on the slides many many times.

Italian restaurant
Ristorante "La Nicchia" is located in a storied, beehive-shaped trullo house typical of Alberobello's traditional trullis. The restaurant offers a cozy dining room and a covered, converted barnyard space for semi-al fresco dining. It features seasonal Puglia cuisine with locally produced cheeses like burrata, mozzarella, and stracciatella. The menu includes local meats, fresh pasta dishes, succulent seafood recipes, and traditional desserts.
Two families 4 adults with 4 children went in on Wednesday evening and had a great night, dinner, service and fantastic local atmosphere. Definitely the best restaurant with the best food we tried in our 5 days stay in Puglia. We got free salads and drinks as compliment from our waiter. Prices are valuable for the quality. Will visit again one day. Thank you guys!

One of the best ravioli I have had in Italy! The food was to die for. We could feel a lot of tourists didn’t go there and it felt an authentic experience. On another note, since a lot of people were locals we felt like we were overlooked and it took forever for someone to take our order and for our food to come

Amazing restaurant! All plates and deserts were delicious and the place is great. We stopped here coming from Grotte de Castellana on the way to Alberobello. Be careful because the employees do not speak a good english and sell you much more food you can eat. Have time because all the process takes time… slow food mood.

Italian restaurant
EVO Ristorante, located in the heart of Alberobello's historic center, has been serving up inspired cuisine since 2015. The restaurant draws on the region's wealth of local ingredients, with a particular focus on extra virgin olive oil - so much so that "Evo" is derived from the acronym for "liquid gold," a key component in many regional dishes. With a menu featuring over 240 olive oil labels, EVO celebrates this essential ingredient.
EVO in Alberobello offers an outstanding dining experience. The atmosphere is elegant, and the menu masterfully combines traditional Puglian flavors with modern techniques. Each dish is beautifully presented and full of flavor. The service is top-notch, with staff who are attentive and passionate about their work. EVO is a must-visit for anyone in Alberobello seeking exceptional food and a memorable experience. Highly recommended!

We had one of our best meals in Italy at this restaurant in Alberobello. The 4-course set dinner was superb—each dish was delicious and made with high-quality ingredients. Highly recommend dining here if you’re visiting Alberobello!

I came to this restaurant following a recommendation from my hotel, which mentioned it had won anItalian TV competition. I also noticed it was featured in the Michelin guide, so I arrived with high expectations — even though it was well above my usual trip budget. But for truly good food, I’m happy to pay. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere with a minimalist design. Service was polite, professional, and attentive. Unfortunately, the food was a huge letdown — far below what you’d expect for €80 per person. The meal dragged on for over then two exhausting hours, and I was dining alone — most of the time just sitting in front of an empty table waiting for the next course. There was simply no reason for it to take that long. As for the food: Presentation was elegant and refined but most of it just didn’t taste good. Italian cuisine shines in its simplicity, but here they tried to “elevate” it in ways that didn’t work. Flavors didn’t come together, and everything — meat, fish, cuttlefish — was overcooked. It felt like a failed attempt at fine dining. There was one pasta dish that was absolutely perfect: simple, balanced, and exactly what Italian food should be. The rest? I didn’t even bother finishing — and we’re talking about dishes that barely amounted to more than a bite or two. Bottom line: excellent service and a nice vibe, but very mediocre food execution. A major disappointment overall.

Elegant place, almost minimalist. The menu seems carefully assembled, mostly with creative, captivating interpretations of traditional Apulian recipes. Their staff was amazing, very polite and easygoing. Strongly recommended!
Victor S — Google review
We have lunched at Evo and were surprised by the service. We started with waiting about ten minutes for the menu, this after being ask by the waiter if we would like some water (one would think that this was a good opportunity to hand over the menu). Then we had to wait for about 15 minutes for our plates to be cleared away (during this time the waiters kept passing by our table and even though it was clear we have finished, they didn’t deemed it right to clear the table). Too bad that the chef’s Excellent job (the food was delicious) was over shadowed by such incompetent service. In the photo: rabbit filled tortellini with peas and fennel sauce.
Noam S — Google review
We had the seven course menu which was absolutely delicious. Debora is an excellent host, very professional, very welcoming and with a good knowledge of English. Michelin worthy, both for the food and the service. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Hans D — Google review
Fine dining experience to celebrate two special occasions. We had a private dining area and the service was first rate from start to finish. We took the classic tasting menu and were treated to the delights of the region ( olive oils, tartlets, cuttlefish, tartelets , aubergine. Xxl oriechetti … desserts and sweet treats) Together with pairing wine option this was a fabulous meal over two hours. Bravo to the chef and his super professional staff!

Trullo Sovrano is a remarkable 18th-century conical hut that now serves as a heritage museum, offering visitors a glimpse into the traditional furnishings and artifacts of the past. Situated near Basilica dei SS Medici, this two-story trullo stands out for its grandeur and unique charm. The museum inside is not only informative but also entertaining, showcasing the diverse uses of wine throughout history.
Everything about Alberobello was wonderful! We were there in shoulder season (Mid-march), so the crowds were light and the trullis were so cool to see. The area is ticked away in a pretty average/bland looking part of town, bits worth the drive. We took a bus from Bari and did this and Matera on the same day. Definitely a highlight of our trip
Amber W — Google review
Alberobello is amazing. The whole city. It is something you see in pictures and in videos, and you say to yourself: This can’t be real. And when you are there you can’t move because you realise it was real all along. The house was very interesting. Amazingly built and was informative of how the people have lived in a trullo. It is well preserved and kept clean. The staff were nice and friendly. I think that if you visit the town, you should visit this place as well. It gives you another perspective than by just walking in the town.
Nemes I — Google review
I specifically bought a ticket in advance on Booking called “Skip the Line: Trullo Sovrano Admission Ticket”, so I wouldn’t have to wait in line under the scorching sun at the Trullo Museum. The very name of the ticket says “Skip the Line.” However, when I arrived, it turned out that pre-purchased tickets weren't being accepted at all. I was forced to stand in a half-hour queue under the blazing sun together with people who hadn’t bought any tickets in advance. The line moved very slowly because there was only one person selling and checking tickets at the entrance. I tried twice to enter without waiting in line, showing my pre-booked ticket, but was firmly refused both times. So keep in mind: even if you buy the Skip the Line: Trullo Sovrano Admission Ticket, you will still have to queue with everyone else. There’s nothing particularly special inside. I only waited in line because I had come all the way from Bari to see an authentic trullo. Considering such terrible service, this visit isn't worth even 2€. When I complained at the entrance, the staff member simply told me, “You shouldn’t buy tickets on Booking.” That’s their whole attitude toward visitors.

Restaurant
Ristorante La Cantina is a cozy, family-run restaurant located in the vaulted cellar of a 19th-century building designed by the renowned Italian architect Antonio Curri. The warm and inviting atmosphere sets the stage for simple yet delicious dishes made from local ingredients and inspired by traditional recipes. From tagliolini with mushrooms and chestnuts to fricelli with saffron and capocollo, the menu offers a delightful taste of Puglian cuisine.
The food was delicious and the service was also great. There were several people trying to get a table but the place was packed, so I suggest making a reservation just to be sure. 🤞

If you have plenty of time for lunch, this place is fine, food was not bad. But if not, forget it. After we sat down, it took 20 minutes before anyone even came to take our order. Then another 20 minutes for the starter, and another 20 just for a pasta. In total, we waited at least 40 minutes to finally eat, without even having to queue. They really need to hire more staff in the kitchen or for service. Overall, that makes the dining experience a bit disappointing.
R X — Google review
We were very happy to get a table at lunchtime, anywhere with a decent rating was full. Our food was tasty but the portion sizes were stingy considering the price. We share an antipasto, the burratina was tiny as described, my pasta was good but again not filling. My husband’s pork was again tasty but the fried potatoes were overpriced. The cover charge of €3.50 each for some very dry bread, which we didn’t eat was excessive. We shared a large bottle of fizzy water, the espressos were €2 for a thimble of coffee. La Cantina is a small restaurant and Alberobello is very touristy but €70 is steep, when you leave hungry.

Went to Ristorante La Cantina in Alberobello for lunch without a reservation. They asked us to come back around 2:30, so we did, and ended up waiting about 20 minutes for the staff to clear and set up the tables. It was a slow process since they seemed to spend more time chatting than working. The food was just okay. The orecchiette with ragù was good, but the piece of beef was awful — full of gristle, as you can see in the photos. The potatoes were excellent, though. As for dessert we had the smallest portion of panna cotta I’ve ever seen, honestly kind of funny. Overall, a bit disappointing considering the hype

There are some very good and some stuff which we think needs some improvement😇. We came here to ask for table for 10 people, we understand we need to wait, that was no problem, they told us to come back in 10-20mins. At the end we waited around 40 minutes, maybe even more, before they set us at the table. Food was OK, we ordered some orriechiette with tomato sauce and veal and gorgonzola cheese. I haven't seen piece of veal in my meal. That was 14€. Without cheese this meal is 12€. Primo giorno meal was the best which arrived at our table, that was some delicious veggies. Other meal was lamb skewer, price 16€. It was OK, but depends how lucky you are, one guy got better meat other got more grease. There is also mix skewer and that was OK. We wish they serve regular home made pommes frites instead of chips (6€). Home bianco wine was great and we can recommebd it. At the end dessert tiramisu and cake pasticcioto, thah was 5/5. So place is good, maybe to hype about it.

Arte Fredda in Alberobello, Italy is a popular gelato spot that has been serving delicious Italian ice cream for over 20 years. It's a perfect place to cool off during the town's hot summers. The gelateria offers a variety of seasonal flavors, such as grapefruit and watermelon in the summer and roast chestnut and persimmon in the winter. Visitors praise the friendly owner and recommend trying the chestnut ice cream.
excellent ice cream and coffee! I took the lemon flavor and I was delighted, real lemon without sugar and additional sweeteners. I really enjoyed eating it. my friend took the oreo flavor and the biscuit pieces were inside, real oreos, not some substitutes. the waitresses were very nice, I tried to order in Italian and they were immediately smiling and approachable. it was crowded, we barely got a table, you have to go inside yourself, order and take it to the table, you can wait in line to order. but I didn't mind waiting when I tried that excellent gelato.

WORST EVER! Avoid this place! I threw my ice cream away at the nearest bin outside the shop, which I never thought would happen in Italy. Ice cream is literally frozen water with colorants. It melts completely in less than 1 minute, you need to sip it if there is anything left. Incredibly bad. I cannot believe the 5 star reviews, I would give it -5 if I could.

Real gelato, great flavors and also good pastries
Dana L — Google review
The worst gelato I have had in the entirety of Italy. The gelato was icy and did not have a creamy texture. The pistachio was particularly bad, which is usually the hallmark of a good gelato place.
Felicia D — Google review
The ice cream was decent. I got the stracciatella and caffè. I came around 5pm and there was a rush. They were able to manage the rush pretty well. And the lady who served me was nice enough to setup the credit card machine even if she initially motioned for cash. They were quick but not rude. She took the time to ask me if I wanted 2 flavors instead of just one. The tables outside were clean and there was always someone who wiped it with disinfectant in between customers. AMEX cards accepted.

Alberobello - Rione Monti

Historical landmark
Alberobello, particularly the enchanting district of Rione Monti, is a must-visit gem in Puglia, Italy. This small town captivates visitors with its iconic trulli—charming whitewashed stone houses topped with conical roofs that create a fairytale-like atmosphere. As you wander through Rione Monti, you'll discover over 1,000 of these unique structures, each telling its own story and showcasing traditional craftsmanship.
Beautiful place. It's worth a few hours' visit.
Dan F — Google review
A city with such a beautiful name couldn’t defraud. Everybody visits Alberobello to see the largest collection of trulli stone huts with an unusual conical roof. Apparently they were built like that to avoid taxes - landowners didn't want the authorities to know Alberobello existed because they'd have to pay taxes to the crown. If the authorities investigate, the key stonework was removed. You can see an area very touristic and full of shops (Rioni Monti) while other areas such as Aia Piccola, are much less crowded.

We visited the Trulli's in Alberobello last August and this was a highlight of our entire trip to Puglia. How wonderful to walk and get lost around the streets of the cozy town with such a unique historic architecture. It's very busy and sometimes difficult to be able to take a picture of one of the houses. Still, highly recommended.

Amazing town! To see these beautiful Trulli and have living experience in these Trulli are one of the two motivations for us to visit Puglia. These Trulli were created by the poor farmers. They had the obligation to have houses built with dry stones. It was an expedient of the count to avoid paying taxes to the King of Naples. We really enjoyed our stay here. It’s recommended for everyone to come to see, to feel and to experience these Trulli.

👍 wir kommen wieder 😎 (Translated by Google) An unforgettable experience, the Trullidorf. Very beautiful town. It is highly touristic but mid-November it was very easy to visit. Be careful with hospitality businesses as apparently most are proper tourist traps. In 2h can be visited the complete Rione Monti. I highly recommend entering in some trullo if you get the chance as they are quite iconic.

Very touristic, but it’s beautiful. I wished the locals weren’t selling all the same made-in-China kind of useless stuff.

Casa D'Amore is a historic home in Alberobello, built in 1797 and considered the first in the area to be constructed with terracotta and mortar. This marked a significant transition as prior to the official recognition of Alberobello as a city, stable buildings were prohibited by local Counts and could only be built with dry stone.
If you're traveling to Southern Italy, and you love the eclectic, you must see the city of trulli, in Alberobello. The trulli are architecturally unique to Puglia, the heel of the boot, and were built at different times, some say during the neolithic period, some say 1000 AD, and others say during the 1400's. Either way, I recommend a visit at night, when all the lights decorate the city like a sparkling treasure! I stayed in this trullo in Cisternino, a town just Southeast of Alberobello.

History museum
The museum is located in a small street Aia Piccola in the old town of Alberobello, and it is perfect to finish this itinerary of things to see in Alberobello: it is the Museum of Olive Oil (and it has been closed and reopened so we cannot say that it can be visited, passing by it does not cost anything). In fact olive oil is the star of Puglia and this museum celebrates it perfectly.
What a fantastic little museum! The 4 euro entry fee includes an audioguide in multiple languages (Italian, English, French and German) that is incredibly informative and tells the story of how the trulli came to be, and how family life was in them. You get to see the inside of a multi-room trullo, with various objects to help you imagine. Hardly any visitors while I was there (in May). A "trulli" wonderful experience.

Nice place, I was looking for more on how the trulli are built. They have some displays on this, I was hoping for more.

Doesn't worth the time or the money . There is audio app , but couldn't connect between the explanation and the show ... They don't have earphones , so you cant play the explanation without disturbing others . Could be that exhibits are more understood to Italian speakers Try to skip the toalet here , if you can ...

Came here after walking though the village. Interesting information on the history of the area and it had an art exhibit at the same time. I would say the information is publicly available though, so not worth the ticket cost. If they expanded the interior exhibits or reduced the ticket cost it would make better sense.

Italian restaurant
The Italian restaurant "Terra Madre" is a charming place which cultivates many ingredients directly on site. Located in a beautiful trullo just steps from the delightful Plaza Sacramento, the culinary attention of the restaurant and simple, regional food full of flavor grown locally is highly appreciated. Options for savory dishes like stuffed artichokes, handmade pasta with broccoli, anchovies and pistachios with dessert including delicious crumble cake full of fresh farm-produced cheese are available.
I saw some bad reviews, but to us (my wife and I) this was the best meal we had in Italy. And we came to Italy a few times before. The food was amazing, it almost made me consider to become vegetarian (kidding of course). I definitely suggest the tasting menu. 7 dishes, every single one was a different culinary trip. We are considering to revisit the area just to eat here again. Wow!
Cristian N — Google review
Solid 4, food is good but overall is highly priced for what it offers. Don’t expect fine dining, rather a beautiful and tasty sequence of veggie entrances with fresh ingredients and simple preparation. Wine degustation was the biggest flaw. Charging 16€ for 2 glasses of average wine is too much. There were good wine options by the bottle, but for pairing there was only 1 type of each style, both red and white ones were nothing special to justify charging 8€ each. I asked the eggs as complimentary dish (10€ on top of the 35€ veggie set), and it came a very simple, slightly overcooked fried eggs. You pay for the experience, but would not charge so much for those complements.

Trust me - make your reservation and go here!! Fantastic meal and service! We sat outside in the back by the Chef’s garden. Super romantic! We chose the 7 vegetarian tasty menu plus one main dish. The main dishes did include ones with a meat protein. The vegetarian dishes are made with produce from the chef’s garden. Every dish was awesome with some highlights that we just loved, including a fried egg with smoked burrata and tomatoes & cucumbers, and a custard & cherry tart. If Trattoria Terra Madre could ship that tart to our house in the U.S., we would be super appreciative :-) Of course I forgot to take a photo of these two dishes that we loved but here are photos some of the veggie dishes. We would truly return back to this delicious place.

We arrived just over 9pm while the restaurant is supposed to close at 10pm, they're very kind to welcome us, provide us enough time to consider what to order. We ordered one set of 7 vegetables plus 1 dish to share between two of us, and we were super full! The house wine is also very reasonable, enjoyed the vibe from this beautiful restaurant

Casual dining room overlooking backyard vegetable garden. They just do 7 vegetable tasting menu (35€) + choice of 8 meat and pasta dishes (10€) Fantastic dinner! Spinach salad with pomegranates, beet shreds and crunchy fava beans in balsamic and local extra virgin olive oil. Chick pea puree.Peppers w/ olives capers breadcrumbs. Swiss chard with cherry tomatoes. Smoked eggplant parmigiana Stewed onion with sunflower seeds and marmalade. Carrot flan. Had pasta w mushrooms and pumpkin sauce.

After travelling through Puglia for a week, my friends and I were kind of done with pasta and meat. This trattoria was the perfect cure for that with the wonderful 7 course veggie tasting menu. We loved every course, so thoughtfully created with seasonal fresh produce. Also the custard and cherry tart may have been one of the best desserts I have ever had! The ambience and space is also super bright and beautiful with a strong farm to table vibe. 10/10 - would highly recommend and can’t wait to go back and eat there again!

Don’t miss out. Delicious food. Especially if you want vegetarian. Beautiful vegetable garden. Farm to table. They have their own farm a few km away.
Davina C — Google review
Here’s the problem. I want to tell you how horrible this place is so that you don’t go and ruin it and becomes overcrowded but the fact is this farm table restaurant is an absolute gem in a genuinely tourist infested trap. I can’t believe I found this place I have the vegetarian tasting menu and my taste buds exploded and blew out of my mouth with joy and excitement. The chef is a master and sitting at a table while you’re looking at the actual Garden where they came from is an unbelievable privilege and treat

Il Guercio di Puglia is a charming Italian restaurant located in the newer part of Alberobello, away from the bustling tourist areas. Known for its Roman-style pizza and elevated main dishes, it offers a delightful dining experience with a warm atmosphere. While some guests have expressed disappointment regarding service and portion sizes during busy times, many rave about the quality of the food, particularly praising the delicious pizza and excellent red wine.
Excellent food, great service with very kind staff who helped us navigate the menu and had some yummy vegetarian options! Food was delicious and fresh! Thank you so much !

This was, hands down, the slowest and most disorganized restaurant staff I’ve ever encountered. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that no one was really in charge. We waited far too long just to be acknowledged. The staff seemed confused, overwhelmed, and completely out of sync with each other. It felt like chaos from start to finish. Would not recommend if you value your time or basic service standards. Food was okay, nothing special.
MS — Google review
We were looking for a bite quite late in the night and so we searched Google. This place sounded good by reviews so we gave it a go and we didn't regret it. The atmosphere was very nice and we were accommodates without booking despite the restaurant being quite busy. We ordered three pinzas between four of us and we could barely finish it. Two would have been enough but we took what was left back home. Pinzas were delicious and the dough very light and tasty. There was an option to have the pizzas on brown dough but we opted for a classic ones. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

This is my 2nd time in this restaurant after 2 years, I must say it my top 1st restaurant at Alberobello, the food is just so delicious, the staff is very friendly and will always recommend you the best ( to no order to much food ) If you have the chance to have dinner with them, order a Pinse ( half half ) it's very big + pasta Calamarata, it's a dream food and for dessert the semifreddo di figgi & almonds. I will definitely go back on my next visit 💛

We came without a reservation and got a table for two (in low season). We had the octopus as an antipasti. It came with mashed potatoes and was extremely delicious. The price is a little on the high side, but it was worth it. On our second visit, we would try the cold cuts platter with local meat and cheese, which looked pretty amazing. As a second course, we ordered the large (600 g) pinsa for two. One half with tomato/mozarella/basil pesto and the second half with prosciutto or Parma ham and a milky sauce. Both halves had an excellent flavour. Delicious. The dough was soft and the crust crispy. Plenty of salt in the dough, as it should be. So far the best pinsa I've eaten in Puglia! If you like pinsa, this is an absolute MUST. The service was very nice and helpful, especially with the selection. We didn't realise that you could choose two toppings for the pinsa.

A pretty nice restaurant with good location. But the food itself isn't the best, pasta, seafood are good (also excellent french fries) but I really don't recommend ordering the steak... It was extremely chewy and had almost gum like texture. Taste was pretty good but the texture really ruined the whole experience. Staff was pretty average but there weren't any napkins, olive oil or salt and pepper at the table. Overall a decent restaurant with okay food except the steak.

I really liked the food here, I hope I remember correctly the name: taglioni. Very tasty and the sauce creamy and nice. The orecchiette with ragu had the best taste! Then followed by the steamed fish and the mushroom pasta. The traditional one, with bread crumbs on top wasn’t very tasty. The bread made id feel very dry. Drinks were very enjoyable too. I dearly recommend!

The quality of the food is terrible. We live in Italy for a few years now and we never had this quality of food. The pasta and mushrooms were not fresh and way too salt (incl some hair), there was no meat in the pasta ragu but the worst part was the fact that they sell Baccala on the menu but they serve fried broccoli!!!! We received 4 pieces of "baccala". Two pieces were full of bones and the other two pieces were fried broccoli. It is a scam!!! Please, if you want to enjoy the real Italian food, skip this place.

Passed through Alberobello for lunch, stopped into this restaurant for a meal. We shared the cavatelli pasta and grilled sausage. The pasta was pretty average, the cavatelli pasta itself wasn't really cavatelli, it was some other overcooked pasta shape and the sauce was very watery almost like a soup. The taste wasn't there either, quite disapointing. The sausage was fine, but at a price tag of 20 euro was a bit of a joke for what was on the plate.

Trulli and Rione Monti are two distinct but culturally significant features of Italy, particularly in the regions of Puglia and Rome, respectively. Trulli (Puglia) - What they are : Trulli (singular: trullo) are traditional dry-stone huts with conical roofs, unique to the Itria Valley in Puglia (southern Italy). They are built using ancient techniques without mortar, making them easily dismantlable—a feature historically used to avoid property taxes. Most famously found in Alberobello , a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where entire neighborhoods are filled with trulli. - Features : - Whitewashed limestone walls. - Conical roofs made of stacked stones, often decorated with symbolic pinnacles or painted symbols. - Used as homes, storage spaces, or tourist accommodations today. - History : Dating back to at least the 14th century, their design is thought to be influenced by prehistoric building methods. Rione Monti (Rome) - What it is : "Rione" is the term for a historic district in Rome, and Monti is the first rione (I) of the city, one of the oldest and most charming neighborhoods. - Location : Situated between the Colosseum, Via Nazionale, and the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. It features Clcobblestone streets, vibrant piazzas, and a mix of medieval and Renaissance architecture. Home to landmarks like the Basilica di San Pietro in Vincoli (housing Michelangelo's Moses) and the Domus Aurea (Nero’s ancient palace). Known for boutique shops, artisan workshops, and trendy cafés. Once a working-class area, Monti is now a hip, bohemian district popular with locals and tourists alike. While both are iconic to Italy, Trulli and Rione Monti are unrelated—one is a architectural style in Puglia, the other a historic Roman neighborhood. If you’re planning a trip, Alberobello (for trulli) ad Rome’s Monti district are super both worth visiting for their unique cultural flavors! I have no regrets driving all the way here to see this.

The trulli were clean, with beautiful furniture and décor, and we also had a jacuzzi which made our evenings even more enjoyable. Everything came with sparkling wine, coffee, local specialties, and a basic yet generous breakfast (fruits, drinks, dairy products, hams, eggs, etc.). In terms of services: conveniently located parking, daily room cleaning done during breakfast so as not to disturb, and the possibility to enjoy the rooftop terrace. Very nice accommodation, right on the main street of Alberobello. Host offers parking, breakfast nearby. We stayed in Petunia truli and it had 3 double beds and a nice terrace. Apart from a dripping sounds in the room next to the terrace which was annoying at night, it was super clean, well heated, and everything we needed. Terrace offered panoramic view across the city.

I can't say enough good things about this bed and breakfast. It is the best place to stay in Alberobello hands down. The owner is exceptionally nice and her father helps as well. The rooms are truly an amazing trulli exoerince, especially the romantic trulli rooms which are on a closed off stretch only accessible to people staying there. The reason it's not for other tourists is because it's decorated so nice that people stop and take pictures behind a roped off section. You need to stay here and the breakfast is also great. I highly recommend this place and will stay here when I go back to Puglia.

A great place to stay. Lovely breakfast that you pre-order. Nice sunny courtyard and approach to sit and enjoy which is chained off from non-residents, many who stop and take photos. Also a roof patio area with chairs above the breakfast room.

Our stay at Romantic Trulli was an amazing experience. Our suite was beautiful, clean and definitely romantically decorated, # 49. Our room was in a courtyard which was one of the most photographed places in Alberobello. A nice breakfast was served every morning in a room in the courtyard. We also enjoyed the beautiful view from the rooftop deck. Romantic Trulli has a perfect location for walking all around this most charming town. There is no question that we would stay here again and would highly recommend this place to anyone wishing to stay in Alberobello.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location was ideal and Stefano was brilliant with communication. The home baking was a nice additional touch. A very special place to visit
Hoonernz — Google review
You cannot do better than this place in Alberobello. The owner, Stefano is very kind, welcoming and gracious. The trulli themselves are beautifully kept, immaculately clean and well-presented, and include a well-stocked kitchenette and two compact bathrooms. Provisions for a plentiful breakfast to prepare and enjoy at one's own pace are included, including home-made sweets, for a much appreciated personal touch. The property is also ideally positioned just metres away from the main area of interest in town and free parking is readily available. A place to really enjoy, after all the day trippers have left and the town descends into restful, evening tranquility. Absolutely recommended!

All-round exquisite accommodation. The owner meets you and explains everything about the property, and about Alberobello itself - we were impressed. Then the place - it was a definition of cleanliness. Not to mention it was also extremely cozy. The breakfast was very nice too.

Cantina Museo Albea is a charming winery located in Puglia, offering an enriching experience for wine enthusiasts. Visitors can explore the wine museum and gain insights into the history of winemaking in the region. Guided tours by knowledgeable staff, such as Valentina, provide a comprehensive overview of the winery and local wines. The vaulted ceilings add to the allure of this beautiful establishment.
I was with a small group of friends and we really enjoyed the tour and tasting here. It is easy to reach, just a short stroll from the quaint centre of Alberobello. Valentina was really good, friendly and flexible, adjusting the information to what we were most interested in and telling us all about the historic winery and the wines, which are very good! The museum is very well done too with lots of exhibits and insights both into local culture and wine traditions. A tour and tasting here definitely adds something extra to a visit to Alberobello and it's a good way to find out more about the local wines.

After our wedding, we had the joy of hosting a wine tasting at Albea Cantina & Museum — and it was the perfect way to wind down and savor the moment. The setting was beautiful, the wines were exceptional, and the experience felt both intimate and enriching. It wasn’t just a tasting; it was a celebration of culture, craftsmanship, and connection. The team welcomed us with warmth and knowledge, making the entire visit feel special and relaxed. It was the ideal way to extend the magic of our wedding weekend and share something truly memorable with our guests. Thank you, Albea, for giving us one more reason to celebrate — we’ll be dreaming of your wines for a long time to come!
C B — Google review
Valentina walked us through the museum, telling us about the winery and wine from Puglia. You can tell she’s very talented, she knows her wine. After the museum we had a tasting of four wines accompanied by local products. It was all very nice and we had a great time. Highly recommend when you’re in Alberobello.
Hanneke Y — Google review
Great place! The museum itself is worth visiting as it really tells the history of the Arbelobello and surroundings and about vine. A lot of exhibits from past, old bottles with vine and photographs. A nice thing is you can see how is vine bottled and see the production area as it works. Easy and fast contact with the office. AND here comes the best part - you can buy vine (at least 5L) straight from the barrel! 5/5 would come again!
Maciej T — Google review
A fun way to spend an hour in a winery in Puglia. The man gave nice information about the winery which started in 1905. They have a small museum and they offer tastings, so after you can buy some bottles of wine, if you want of course.
Johan B — Google review
We had a delightful 90 minutes at this winery and Museum! We arrived in Alberobello without a reservation but went directly to the winery (a 5-minute walk from the train station) and were able to arrange a tour and tasting for later that afternoon. The only problem was that the earliest we could book was for 4pm (it opens at 3:30, so plan your day accordingly) and we actually ran out of things to do in Alberobello (after viewing the trulli and visiting the Musieo Soverano, we filled the day with a nice long walk, lunch, and a relaxing hour at a bar). But we’re so glad we stayed because this was the best part of the day! Valentina showed us around the winery and explained the fermentation and bottling process. Then we got to see the Museum which included the best explanation of the history of the region and the trulli that we’ve seen. Finally the highlight: the wine tasting! We tasted a rosé, a white, and a red. All were delicious and we left with a bottle of the white and a bottle of the red which we will drink during our time in Italy. Total cost was €36 — there was no charge for the tour or the Museum, we only paid for the wine. If you’re in the area, we highly recommend a stop at the Cantina Albea & Museo!
Carrie J — Google review
We rocked up after trying to message for a reservation and not getting a response. When we arrived she asked us if we had a reservation even though many of the reviews said that they did not need one. We tasted two wines and bought three bottles but I think the experience was very mediocre

Pizza restaurant
Ristorante Pizzeria Pozzo Contino is a cozy restaurant with rustic interiors offering a great view over the city, especially at night. The garden provides a nice and comfortable atmosphere for dining, and it's even more charming in the evening. The menu features a wide variety of delicious pizzas and drinks at reasonable prices. Despite being small, the restaurant tends to get crowded in the evenings due to its popularity, but the friendly staff and tasty food make it worth the wait.
Great place to dine. Great food (although my pizza came a bit more salty than it should have) pizza and caprese salad were delicious. Next to the beautiful view of the trulli. And the prices are affordable. The only misunderstanding we had was regarding the dessert menu, as we thought we would have actual tiramisu and not an ice cream with that flavor. Overall I recommend it 👍🏻.

We waited for the order for 45 minutes, the drinks were brought in 20 minutes, because there are not many people in the institution. Naopolitan's pizza with anchovies, very salty, impossible to eat, but the Martinese pizza was very juicy and tasty. But they didn't charge for the service

In the busy and heavily touristic town of Alberobello (Unesco World Heritage Site for the Trulli House Tradition), even off season, or especially because of that, it can be hard to find a place to have a proper dinner. Most bars and local eateries serve small dishes and drinks mostly. Some pizzerias even told us that they only serve pizza during summer. That's a bummer when you and your 2 kids are hungry at 6 pm. This is why this pizzeria with a fantastic view (pictured), reasonable pricing, and delicious pizze came just right! Everything was nice, and I can't complain about a thing. The pizze were crunchy, just how I like them most.

Fantastic food! The service was great despite a very busy evening. Highly recommend for excellent pizza for a good price

They were able to customise vegan pizza for us by taking away the cheese on vegetarian pizza. The dough was nice but the ingredients didn’t really hold well together as a whole for the pizza. English translation is on the menu.

The restaurant's garden is just inside the neighboring park and has a nice view towards the trulli houses. With a huge variety of tasty pizza and very friendly staff, this small restaurant is usually crowded in the evening, but it's worth the waiting.

For the price of 16.5€ I'd expect more from a salad. As you can see it's so basic as just throwing some ingredients in, without any seasoning what so ever. The tuna was basic tasteless tuna from a can. The pasta were not bad though.

Southern Italian restaurant
Ristorante Il Trullo Antico is a rustic and charming restaurant located in Alberobello. The menu offers unique dishes such as red tuna orecchiette and breadcrumb prawns, which are both delicious and filling. The hosts are fluent in English, providing excellent service, while the other waiters are friendly despite limited English skills. Although some reviews have been critical of the food quality, others highly recommend this place for its lovely cave-like ambiance and delectable lasagna.
We had three courses and all the food was incredible! We came accidentally (thinking we were going to another place nearby but with maps not working) and what a very happy accident it was!! Nicco was an amazing host - he gave us excellent recommendations and we ate some of the best food in our entire trip. So worth a visit!!

Dropped in for lunch. The host was gracious enough to attend to us despite it being close to closing hours. The place is very rustic yet charming. The menu is not very extensive with limited choices for vegetarians. The portions are extremely small. The food was tasty and well made. The €3 cover charge, not limited to this restaurant but seen across Alberobello, is a damper especially given that it was the low season (we went there towards end of Oct). This together with the prices as in any popular tourist location did not make this a great experience.
Ashok H — Google review
I was hesitant about this restaurant because of the mixed reviews but decided to follow the positive reviews. The waitress was kind and very efficient. The restaurant is nicely decorated. The owner was a nice lady that took our order and made some recommendations that we were not intending to order but decided to take her advice. The wine she recommended was very good but the cheese plate was so-so and a bit too much considering the appetizer we had wanted was sufficient. The purple potato gnocchi were not that good and quite overpriced. So all said and done, I wish I had only listened to half her suggestions and paid half as much and not felt so full. She is a very good sales person, but perhaps not sincere enough. I'm glad I was open to trying new dishes but would definitely go in next time knowing that her objective is to sway me into ordering more than I want to.

Other reviews seemed a bit harsh! Would definitely recommend this place. Lovely restaurant in a cave. Menu options are a little different to everywhere else we went past. We came for lunch and got the breadcrumb prawns and red tuna orecchiette. Food was very tasty and filling. Service was quick. The hosts speak good English, the other waiters less so but were still very friendly and polite.

Very nice little Restaurant at the top of trulli town. I had the lasagna (9euro - worth it!!) My girlfriend had some Antipasti (5euro) also very tasty. We had enough space left for a Tiramisu each :)

Worst dining experience I have experienced in Europe. Avoid completely. Service is awful - no one smiles and staff don’t even know what the local cheeses are. Pasta dishes have no flavour and the ravioli comes with a bizarre green sauce that has vibrant colour but zero taste. It was so disappointing and I’m shocked chefs are proud to serve this food as a representation of their skills.

Consigliatissimo!!!!!

This charming location allows you to immerse yourself in the unique allure of the Trulli, which date back to the mid-14th century. This delightful accommodation features beautifully decorated trulli-style rooms that exude warmth and comfort, complete with cozy furnishings and unique touches. Guests can unwind in the sunny garden or enjoy complimentary WiFi throughout their stay. Located just a short stroll from iconic sites like Trullo Sovrano and Trullo Church of St., Astra is perfectly situated for exploring this enchanting town.
This B&B made our stay at Alberobello 10x more magical. Our host Anna Maria was absolutely lovely. I've never had such good service at a B&B before. She was generous, the food was delicious and she was a huge help for pointing out key spots. The accommodation Itself was also beautiful and comfortable (the beds are insanely comfortable).

As soon as you walk into this accommodation you are in heaven. Anna Marie could not be any nicer and so accommodating. You can tell she loves what she is doing to make your stay a memorable one. Her breakfast was more than we expected. Always looked forward to eating outside in her beautiful gardens. We hated to leave, wished we could have stayed longer. Don’t hesitate to book your vacation here. It is truly wonderful!! Than you Anna Marie
Benny D — Google review
This was, without a doubt, one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a property. I informed the host well in advance that I would be arriving late due to a late flight and requested a later check-in or even a simple self-check-in option. Despite multiple requests by us, they outright refused to accommodate, showing no flexibility or willingness to help whatsoever. I repeatedly contacted Booking.com customer service to try and resolve the situation, but the property remained completely unresponsive and uncooperative. Then, on the next day, without any warning, the property canceled our booking for the second night, claiming a “no-show.” This was incredibly frustrating, especially since they were fully aware of our situation and knew we intended to check in the following day. Due to this, we were forced to change our entire itinerary, including missing our planned visit to Alberobello, which was one of the highlights of our trip. On top of that, we had to scramble for last-minute accommodations. They not only failed to deliver the service we paid for but also showed no regard for the impact their actions had on our travel plans. The property’s lack of professionalism, poor communication, and refusal to work with their guests turned what should have been an enjoyable experience into a stressful situation, adding unnecessary stress and frustration. I don’t recommend this property based on how poorly they handled the situation.

The Trulli is absolutely amazing. Very well designed and clean. Anna Maria is very kind and treated us very well. Breakfast was amazing. Free parking spots nearby. A lot of spots even during high season. Thank you so much Anna Maria for all your kindness. You and your trulli are amazing.

In theory a wonderful place - beautiful clean room with a tranquil garden, a stone's throw from all of the trulli in Alberobello. But beware! The host is not as lovely as might first appear. Several strange and controlling interactions throughout but it was the final moments of our stay that really ruined the experience for us. Our greeting at 9:35am walking into breakfast (having already packed up our room!) was "check out is at 10!" Then as we were moving things from the room to our car we briefly misplaced the key to the room and my wife was treated like a criminal! My wife asked the host if she had maybe already taken it (wouldn't have been surprising because of how strict the check out timings are) and instead of a calm answer she was met with various angry exclamations like "I need my key!" "I want my key!". Logic would dictate that if a guest had the key a very short while ago and hasn't left the property then the key isn't lost and there's no reason to immediately accuse the guest of somehow disrespecting your property! Also, even if a key has been lost, there are nice ways to handle the situation?!

I can't share enough with everyone that I speak to about my trip to Alberobello, and the reason is simply Anna Maria at the beautiful Astra B&B! She is a very special person. I have never been greeted by anyone the way she greeted us and taking the time to show us around town. She is just wonderful, sweet and kind. She caters to your every need and beyond. We cannot express how "trulli" grateful we are in having found Astra...a real gem!! Anna Maria has just the right touches in her trullis to make you feel at home. Her kind and genuine hospitality made our stay one we will always cherish. We can't thank Anna Maria enough! We hope to get back in the near future! p.s. My husband still talks about the Tetta pastry puffs you served him!! :))

Highly recommend this accommodation, the host is very nice and friendly. The room was spacious, very clean and we hd all facilities, an unique experience to sleep in a Trullo, a traditional Apulian dry stone hut with a conic roof. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, Anna Maria served us with traditional local food, procured from local small business, everything we had was very good and tasty. The venue has a beautiful garden with old olive trees and flowers, a green oasis in the middle of the city.

Astra's trullo house accommodations are incredible! Very well appointed and comfortable but with gorgeous vintage furnishings dating back to the 1800s. Fast wi-fi, a/c, wonderful breakfast of local meats, cheese, focaccia, pastries, coffee, etc. is served in a serene garden with magical looking olive trees and a shaded patio. I could sit there all day! Anna Maria is the most gracious, sweet host and she will give you the history of the town/trullo and give you a tour of the area. Stay here. You won't regret it. 5 minute walk to old town.

I can't imagine a better stay in Alberobello! We were warmly welcomed by Paolo, who left us with everything we needed to enjoy our time at the trullo and showed us to the parking garage, which is a few blocks away. The home is very nicely located - a nice, quiet spot just a few minutes walk into the busier part of town. The trullo is authentic and stunning, to say the least. It has been upgraded to the highest standards. The patio was a lovely space as well. The beds were very comfortable, and unlike any shower we've seen in Europe, it was incredibly spacious - it had a room all to itself! The linens were posh, and everything was spotlessly clean. And our breakfast (included) at a local cafe was just what we were hoping for. We only stayed one night, but wished we could've stayed forever!

We loved everything of Chiancole-Trulli Experience, from the architecture to the host and breakfast Liked · We liked the host the most, her welcoming and warm manner, then the comfort of our stay at this B&B, the generous complimentary of wine, hot/cold drink, traditional Albrobello's cookies and bread nicely set on different tables and the kitchen. We loved the architecture, design and decor of the Chiancole. We were hosted for breakfast at a local modern coffee bar, which was beautifully designed, and warm enough to host tired travelers. In sum, we loved everything about Chiancole - Trulli Experience B&B and we highly recommend this B&B.

Fantastic experience! We went for a quick bite to try some nice pasta and ended up spending 1 hour watching the master of pasta making - Maria. She was truly a machine. Not only that, but they also allowed us to try and make a few of the orecchiettes ourselves 🙌🏻🙌🏻

We had a delightful, flavourful meal here — and vegans are well catered for too. The service was warm and attentive. Best of all, we got to make pasta alongside one of the nonnas — a truly immersive experience. Even better: they don’t close for a midday siesta, so you can eat later in the day. Still, booking ahead is wise — the place fills up fast.

The best place I’ve eaten! The food is amazing, delicious and fresh. The dishes are creative yet totally local in flavors and ingredients. The presentation is truly top notch. This year, I’ve eaten in Milan, Rome and Ischia. This was truly the best. The atmosphere was wonderful and the owners were fantastic. My two Italian Nonna’s were also impressed and vowed to return because it was so good. In addition, the value was amazing. The four of us enjoyed three entrees and two deserts for under 25 Euro each. Included in the service was an aperitivo and special chocolates made in house. A fabulous experience!

Hands down the best restaurant in Alberobello. The pasta is homemade, the sauces are out of this world, and everything is prepared right in front of you using fresh, local ingredients. You can feel the passion in every dish. Traditional recipes are given a thoughtful twist, making the experience both comforting and exciting. The service is warm and attentive, adding to the charm. Don’t leave without trying the desserts, the tiramisu and the local layered ice cream are absolute musts.

It was a quiet rainy afternoon and we came in around 4pm near the end of the shift so service was a little slow as everyone had chores to clean and prepare for the evening. The experience was still first class. The fresh bread and tomato sauce to start was almost enough for a light lunch but the pasta was worth leaving some room for.

Minimal yet stylish restaurant with a simple menu. I really enjoyed the starter and the pasta with shrimp tartare. Watching the pasta being made and the tiramisu prepared was a fun experience, and the tiramisu itself was excellent.

During our stay in Alberobello we had dinner here. We were confused as the pictures in this place looked like the pictures from a restaurant a little further down the street which was highly rexommended by a waiter of a cafe where we had drinks. Very nice restaurant in the centre of Alberobello. The service was great, friendly and helpful staff. Food was even better! We had 'orecchiette' with turnip, which is a famous local dish, and fava beans puree also with turnip as it seems to be a common ingredient in the food menus of Bari and surrounding. Also I need to mention the baked potatoes which were really amazing. Great atmosphere if you eat outside. The only reason why it didn't get 5 stars is because I think they need to introduce more choices for vegetarians.

The staff were very rude. I wanted to sit down, and the only available table was one for four people. A few minutes later, the waiter came over and told us to leave because a larger group had arrived. They mumbled something in Italian — I think they might have cursed at us — and told us to go. It was a very unpleasant and disrespectful experience.

Our experience at Paninoteca Pane e Mozza in Alberobello was fantastic! The staff were incredibly friendly, and we even shared a funny moment when I mistakenly asked for 'bamba' on my panini, which is slang for a white drug, instead of 'bomba a crema' (crushed hot peppers). Everyone had a good laugh! The patio in the pedestrian-only area was the perfect spot for a relaxing lunch. The paninis were fresh and flavorful, and the accompanying wine was simply delightful. A great spot for a casual, memorable meal in Alberobello. Saluti
