Farmers Markets
Sarona Market is a bustling indoor marketplace in Tel Aviv, featuring around 90 international vendors offering a wide array of prepared foods and groceries. It has been likened to renowned food markets like La Boqueria in Barcelona, Chelsea Market in New York City, and Borough Market in London.
Wonder and super aesthetic area for all kinds of foods and restaurants! From grocery shops to candy stores to kiosks and to bars! A place for all your kinds of taste buds! Super beautiful too full of decorative nature, wooden flavour of furniture and dim lights ❤️ the visual took me by a heart beat loved entering this building hated to leave it! Full of wonderful people and workers to serve all of your needs ,definitely a place to visit while in tel aviv! Can't believe I never been there before! Got myself noodles from wok to walk and some snacks from sweetime candy world ❤️ can't wait to come again and try the different quazines they over here!

I bring my friend to Tel Aviv so he can feel the vibe and taste of this incredible city. And Sarona market IMHO is a best place to feel it. This is a place to visit from time to time to refuel with energy.
Vladimir M — Google review
Very nice air-conditioned market. Food variety were aplenty. Perfect place for a hot day to come for lunch/drinks and to do some quick shopping It is conveniently located to Tel Aviv’s train station, and there are major shopping malls nearby as well. There are a lot of parking options around the office buildings (though they are a little bit pricy)
Nahshon — Google review
Contrary to everyone's opinion and the way it looks like when you first arrive, I didn't like it. Yes - great first impression. Good visuals, nice presentation, seems like there is a lot to pick from, but - there isn't. It's extremely expensive and the food is pretty much the same as any street market. I'd rather visit the old city. It's fine if you're near it, and if you can find it, because of constructions and misleading location markers, but don't expect too much and maybe you'll like it better. I expected more variety. Maybe some places were just closed, I don't know. I only had a craft beer that nobody cared to tell me the name of, it was very good.

Sarona Market is a cool place to visit in Tel Aviv. It is a covered market and a meeting hub full of food stores selling meats, cheeses, breads, alcohol and also small eateries with Israel food, Japanese cuisine, pizza, pasta and more. Lovely place to visit and shop or eat. A variety of small shops with specialties. Sarona market is more like a food court. There are food shops and many restaurants inside. The design is contemporary, it is nice and clean. I loved the most the surroundings - small, old houses, parks and everything surrounded by skyscrapers. A great mix of modern and traditional. Little europe in middle of tel aviv. Nice place to hang out with various shops. You can have a drink on a bar, eat delicious deserts and many multiple choices of great street food - some pf them belong to chef restaurants. Must visit when you are exploring tlv. You can easily spend 2 -3 hours here.
Alex D — Google review
In general, this is a beautiful place. I was in Sukkot, so there were a lot of people. I saw a variety of food for everybody, some stores, places to drink, and sweets. I want to come back in calmer days.
Zuly S — Google review
Lovely place to visit and shop or eat. A variety of small shops with specialties. Very nice tea shop, eastern sweets shop, tahini and halva place, ice cream factory and many others not vegan, meat and cheese places. Nice surroundings with restored old buildings and a water lily's pond. A lot of modern architectural structures nearby.
Sophie D — Google review
This is a must go place for visitors to tel aviv, you have all the Israel food and western cuisine in one place. A good place to dine and experience the food culture of israel and try a wide variety of foods. Like the idea that it's not a restaurant type but with the little food stalls selling their stuff. The price here are cheaper than most of the restaurant there. I like the chicken 🐔 shop that sell roast chicken to spicy wings. There is a seafood stall too and you can select your choice of seafood. There is A vegetarian food and dessert stall as well. Some of the pictures to wet your appetite.

Azrieli Mall

Shopping mall
Nestled just a short stroll from the Link Hotel & Hub, Azrieli Mall stands as a vibrant shopping destination in Tel Aviv. This modern complex boasts three expansive floors filled with over 150 stores, showcasing everything from local Israeli brands to international favorites like Zara and Adidas. After indulging in some retail therapy, visitors can recharge at one of the 30 diverse eateries within the Food Hall or catch a movie at the on-site cinema featuring eight screens.
The Azrieli Mall in Tel Aviv is a large and modern shopping center, offering a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment options. The center was originally designed by Israeli-American architect Eli Attia, and after he fell out with the developer of the center David.Very nice and beautiful designed shopping mall close to the train station Tel Aviv Ha Hagana. Lavish shopping center at the heart of the city with three levels of boutiques, a two-section food court, and a large Shufersal. The food offering is also very good. The HaShalon station and Sarona market are close by, so that's other huge advantages.🥰🥰🥰
Alex D — Google review
Big mall with a lot of stores, but some stores are very small a refinance to other malls, The location in central Tel Aviv is wonderful near a train station and bus stop area. But for me to drive there is like 2 hour in traffic jam And to findf parking is very hard. In the middle of the week is been worsted. Next time I just give up and search for another mall.
Yaron S — Google review
It's a nice place ESPECIALLY if you come from the train station, if you do it's a five star mall. It has nice food areas, 2 to be more specific (each one with A LOT of variety), the only reason I'm not gonna give it a 5 star is because of the parking (well well well, Tel aviv) and because of the fact a lot of the shops there are not kosher which is a huge deal breaker.
Fox N — Google review
Lovely mall, nice shoppes, the escalators are in need of service. The handrails are not in sink with the steps. And they don’t have a smooth ride. Please fix. I’m handicapped. I don’t want to fall. Please fix. I would of rated the mall 5 stars - everything else is nice

Azrieli Mall in Tel Aviv, Israel, is one of the most iconic shopping destinations in the country. Well-known to both locals and visitors, it features food courts on every floor, cozy coffee and breakfast spots, endless shopping options, and plenty of drink stands. One of its most unique attractions is the Harry Potter Store, a must-see for fans.

Museums
Tel Aviv Museum of Art is a renowned museum featuring an international collection of modern and contemporary art, along with a captivating sculpture garden. Situated on the eastern edge of Tel Aviv, it is part of the new central business district in Sarona Market. The museum was established in 1932 and has grown to become one of Israel's largest and most significant art institutions. Visitors can explore various departments showcasing Israeli art, modern art, photography, design, architecture, and more.
Tel Aviv Museum art was great, it has many of the modern impressionists and European (Artist) Jew's in the collection which was wonderful to see. There was plenty on offer to see and I would recommend a visit here if you enjoy the visual arts.
Toby E — Google review
I love this place. The building itself is original and the atmosphere is welcoming. I come at least once a month to see the new temporary exhibitions and to participate a guided tours. There is a caffeteria and restaurant on site. All the time there are activities for the families and kids.
Katy H — Google review
Normally I am not very affine to arts but this museum caught me. Due to the hot weather we were looking for a place to go. We had our children (age of 8 and 10) with us and we really had fun. It's amazing what children are able to see in paintings. I was really impressed by the artists which are shown there: Renoir, Monet, Klimt, Picasso.... But also the contemporary part was great. I can really recommend it (also with children).
Janine Z — Google review
Great museum of Modern Art in Tel Aviv. Spacious with a lot of temporary installations as well, impressionism, pop-art, a garden with sculptures and a lot more. We spent 75ILS for an adult and a senior
Kiariladyboss — Google review
One of the highlights of my visit was the stunning collection of Israeli art, which provides a unique perspective on the country's rich cultural heritage and history. The museum's collection includes works by renowned Israeli artists such as Reuven Rubin, Nahum Gutman, and Yigal Tumarkin, among others. These artworks offer a fascinating insight into the Israeli art scene and its evolution over the years. The museum's architecture is also noteworthy, with its modern and sleek design that seamlessly blends with the surrounding urban landscape.

Highly recommend! Had the best time with my 5 yo daughter. She mostly enjoyed the Helena Rubinstein’s Miniature Rooms, the birds and the NFT exhibitions. The museum is very well maintained, clean and not crowded. Kids under 18 get a free ticket. Personally I prefer to get the tickets online, but there was no line waiting to buy tickets in the museum itself when we got there. The museum is closed on Sundays. Opens at 10 am each other day of the week. Check the website about the closing hours which change every day. And of course opening hours change on holidays.
Anna F — Google review
The Tel Aviv Museum of Art is worth a visit to see some of the permanent collections. A reasonable collection of Impressionists and Contemporary artists. Cannot be compared to the collection say at the Kunsthaus in Zurich which is on another level but that said, it will satisfy those that enjoy art and culture. A must for all art lovers. Wonderful collection displaying works from loads of famous painters such as Chagall, Renoir, Picasso and so many more. Beautifully curated, amazing temporary exhibitions as well. Unique architecture. The collection is top-top level. The best works of the World’s Greats are here. The most impressive Chagalls,Pollocks and Picassos I’ve ever seen.
Alex D — Google review
Amazing museum with an endless amount of exhibitions and artifacts that span many eras but more focused towards modern art and local artists. A beautiful plaza out front and an easy walk in the downtown area makes this a convenient getaway when visiting the city. Audio guides and maps are available as part of the standard admission ticket. Some time limited special exhibitions are well worth checking out.

Abu Hassan

Restaurant
Abu Hassan is a renowned hummus restaurant located in Jaffa, Israel, known for its delicious and traditional hummus dishes. This family-run establishment has been serving exceptional hummus for over 50 years. The menu offers classic hummus, spicy hummus with whole chickpeas, and hummus ful made with fava beans, all served in generous portions with soft pita bread, raw onions, and a flavorful green chili dip.
The service is very friendly and super fast. They are all so sweet at the restaurant and very helpful when we had to take the stroller inside as there were no tables available outside. We told the person it was our first time, he asked us if we had any allergies and ordered for us. Just be aware that their portion size is big and 1 order of hummus should do for a group of 4. As expected it was all melt in your mouth goodness! It’s just .4 miles ~9 minutes walk to the clock tower.

I took ful complet (hummus, broadbeans, tahina, egg). Prices are reasnable (about 35 i think), food is good but not wow and onions wernt even peeled!. The place is very noisy, just like there original branch in panorama street was. A waiter was resting at one end of our bench, toilet seat was wet, lighting is harsh. Alrogether not a pleasant place to eat but allways full owing to its popularity in the guided. There are many better humus joints ..
Steve R — Google review
Typically Arabic hospitality - people shouting, very welcoming and honest. The food was excellent even though I thought their foul need more salt. Their lemonade was the best I’ve ever had and the prices are fair. I would give more star if there was some kind of music. Highly recommend!
Stjepan K — Google review
Lightest, fluffiest & really tasty hummus (for sure one of the best ones we’ever had) - both the normal and the mashabacha one. Falafel were extremely good, same goes for the lemonade. Cheap, fast eats at its finest! Long queue, fast sitting and (probably) table sharing in most cases. Good staff, and while the place felt a little noisy and hectic, that also adds to the experience! A great find!
Ermis M — Google review
Abu Hassan is the single best hummus restaurant in Tel Aviv. It is simple, quick, and amazingly tasty. The hummus is so tasty, in fact, that you’re unlikely to even notice the sub-optimal service. Don’t overstay at your tables though; when you finish, get moving so others can have their turn at hummus.
Steve B — Google review
In my search for inexpensive, but not giving up to quality, restaurants, I found this place after finishing a walking tour in Jaffa. I ordered the masabacha (with egg) and four pieces of falafel, and a glass of lemonade. The masabacha was a great surprise, try it if you want something a bit different from regular hummus. Service is fast, and you can pay with card.
Hugo C — Google review
A highlight of our trip to Tel Aviv! They only serve hummus, but boy is it good! This place is recommended by Lonely Planet as having the "best hummus in the world," but it is refreshingly low-key. Service is rough, but that's part of the charm! We loved our hummus and will have fond memories of Ali Caravan.
Zachary H — Google review
Wow! Absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is fast and loud, and made for a unique experience. We were able to be seated right away. Service was quick, basic, and got the job done but wasn't exceptional. The food was amazing, the pita was fresh tasty, the hummus smooth and creamy. Definitely worth a visit!

Breakfast restaurant
Benedict is a beloved dining spot in Tel Aviv, drawing both locals and visitors with its extensive array of European cuisine. The menu features delightful dishes from France, Italy, Germany, Holland, and beyond. This restaurant shines particularly during breakfast hours, offering an impressive selection that caters to vegetarians, vegans, and meat lovers alike. Guests rave about the relaxed atmosphere and attentive service; meals are served promptly with a smile.
A perfect breakfast experience at Benedict Sarona! This place is a true gem for breakfast lovers in Tel Aviv. From the moment I walked in, the service was warm, efficient, and very attentive. The staff made sure we were seated quickly and offered helpful recommendations without being pushy. I ordered the classic waffle with poached eggs, bacon, and hollandaise sauce—it was cooked to perfection. The waffle was crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and the eggs were beautifully runny. The bacon added a great savory crunch, and the sauce tied everything together wonderfully. Portion size was generous, and the presentation was Instagram-worthy. The atmosphere was cozy yet stylish, with wooden tables and a welcoming vibe. Despite being busy, it never felt crowded or noisy. The attention to detail, from the cutlery to the clean layout, really stood out. Prices are reasonable for the area, especially considering the quality and portion size. I also appreciated the diverse menu that caters to all breakfast cravings, whether sweet or savory. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Tel Aviv and want a top-tier breakfast any time of the day. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

TL;DR  nice food and service Go there with the family on the last day of summer vacation. We got a table outside which was a bad idea due to the humidity and the flys that kept flying around. We ordered - mushroom mix that was nice. - Avocado bagel breakfast that was good - salmon bagel - Texas morning that was really good and big - Kinder pancake that was a tower of pancakes and chocolate We also got a Brad basket to the table The kids enjoyed it very much Parking is very expensive but the new light train stop is right outside the perimeter so use it!

We ate here on Friday evening. 6 people of all ages. We booked a table in advance after trying to book for numerous other restaurants which were all fully booked. Benedict was quite empty. Tables hadn't been cleared. Waiters were disinterested and the service was slow. Food was very mediocre and the helpings were smaller than shown on the photos. I've eaten at other branches of Benedict which were much better. Not a good experience.
Wendy S — Google review
As always, a pleasure eating here. Great food options for vegetarian, vegan and omnivore diets. The best breakfast menu this area has to offer, including cocktails and desserts. I love the relaxed atmosphere in this branch, and the good service. Our waiter was nice, the food came out fast and everything was delicious. The coffee was also tasty and the bread basket a real treat. Wheelchair accessible, great air-conditioner. Thank you for another lovely visit. :)

Great weekend breakfast/brunch! The Shakshouka was very nice and we'll presented, though we were a bit concerned about the freshness of the seafood. My partner liked her French Toast. Multiple mimosa varieties on offer. Friendly service.

Was there at Friday evening. There was only few people but service was slow. Food was ok, nothing more than that, egg had light taste of vinegar and undersalt for my taste. And it arrive super fast which in this case a bit suspicious. Definitely not the worst place to eat, but can’t say it was something special
Peter S — Google review
I am excited to eat in Benedict and I ordered steak and bacon. The steaks are okay and but when I tasted the bacon I'm pretty sure it tasted lamb so my husband ate it. I wasn't able to ask the waiter if it's lamb though. Next time I will. ☺ Overall, it's a good restaurant and the ambiance is relaxing.
Leonalyn B — Google review
A truly great breakfast place. Overall i loved the menu, there were so many delicious dishes to choose from. We had a veggie omlette and the green Shakshuka (which i especially recommend). Coffee was also great. Upon arrival we also got a basket with various types of bread, butter, Nutella and a very delicious apple cinnamon spread. Would definitelly return to this place.

This is a cool place where the meetings were treated to me with a piece of chicken, then the cooking process itself left a pleasant feeling. The food was delicious, generous portions. I recommend taking with you Because there are few places where you can eat. Cool place
Сергей Ш — Google review
The chicken was absolutely inedible. The smell was so unpleasant that we couldn’t even bring ourselves to eat it, it genuinely resembled a toilet odor, and I don’t say that lightly. On top of that, the chicken released a strange liquid that made it even more unappetizing. Considering this was the main dish, it was extremely disappointing. The potatoes, on the other hand, had decent flavor, but unfortunately some were undercooked, which only added to the overall frustration. With the chicken being the centerpiece of the meal, the experience was overwhelmingly negative.
Agam D — Google review
An absolute disgrace to the service industry. I aproached the counter to solve a simple misunderstanding on my order and was ready to pay if it was my mistake, the isue escalated pretty quickly to calling me a liar and throwing the food at me. It was the worst service experience I've had in my life. By far!.
Andrea E — Google review
in all honesty, this place needs to be shut down in my opinion. the chicken is rotten, dry and has a terrible smell. the price is expensive and on top of that the workers there were so rude. they gossiped about me in a foreign language i happen to understand and ate from our fries in front of us. horrible experience overall.

Mediterranean restaurant
Claro, located in the Sarona district, is a spacious and charming restaurant housed in a historic stone Templar building. The restaurant offers farm-to-table Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on local produce. Chef Ran Shmueli's menu features pan-Mediterranean interpretations, such as oven-roasted whole corn with bacon butter and sour cream aioli. The industrial-chic dining room provides ample seating, while the open kitchen adds to the lively atmosphere.
Great place, loved it! The food was very good and delicious, the staff were super friendly, and welcoming. Seriously I can't think of any issues there, it is expensive yes, but you get what you pay, so much guess it's worth it. Oh also the coffee was amazing at the end.
Barak S — Google review
The food menu is very interesting and apparently based on local products from the Galilee region. The dishes are not generous, and in my opinion, could be more generous. The restaurant doesn't have good acoustics and is somewhat noisy, which in a restaurant of this category and these prices could be more appropriate. The experience was very good, but some details could be improved.
Daniel W — Google review
Superb. The food was fantastic, original, rich in flavors and textured yet perfectly balanced, the presentation of it was wonderful. The service was welcoming and knowledgeable, we recieved great recommendations. Even the dessert was super accurate, extremely tasty mango slices on lightly sweetened yugort cream, looked so simple but was so tasty and accurate. I hope they'll be able to keep that high level.

The host would not let my family sit inside with my kids and only offered seating where people smoked outside even with inside non-smoking tables available. My kids are young and are not ok to sit by smokers. The service and hostesses were very disappointing. They only wanted kids outside in the smoking area. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Great place in the heart of business area. A bit upscale, but with Israeli touch. All times favorites from local cuisine, many vegetarian options. The service is a bit slow, but considering that I was during the lunch hour, the waiting time was reasonable. Reservations are required. Terrace is beautiful, especially in the summer. Highly recommended for a business lunch or even the first date

Pundak Deluxe is a must-visit spot in Jaffa for those craving American BBQ. Despite being in Israel, this joint offers an authentic taste of the southern U.S. with options like pork sandwiches, ribs, and cheeseburgers. The menu features succulently smoked meats served with various sides, making it a top choice for American comfort food enthusiasts.
Definitely one of the best smokehouses in Israel and probably the best one in Tel Aviv. The place has really good atmosphere and it's great to sit outside on a warm Jaffa night. Everything we had was really good! The Spare Ribs, Picanha and Beef Ribs were exceptionally good. The sides were really good too, the Mac & Cheese and Corn were probably the best two.

The meat taste was disappointing, supposed to be smoked but we didn't notice. Quite pricey. The BBQ sauce is dreamy, however. And the atmosphere is great.

Day 2

Northeast side of town
For day 2, we recommend exploring the northeast side side of town. Start the day off with Dizengoff Center, then wind down and take it easy by the time you get to The Clock Tower. All together, your day would be filled with about 7 hours of non-stop fun.

Shopping mall
Nestled in the heart of Tel Aviv, Dizengoff Center has been a vibrant hub since its inception in 1977. This iconic shopping mall spans both sides of Dizengoff Street and is linked by convenient skywalks, making it easy to explore its multilevel offerings. With over 400 stores, visitors can discover everything from unique specialty shops featuring comic books and video games to a delightful food fair that comes alive every Friday.
A mall, close to the Carmel Shuk. In early days of Israel, it was one of the main attractions to people. It has two parts, connected by a sky bridge. The mall is full of all kind of shops that you can imagine. When I visit TelAviv, I spend at least an hour at this place.
Debanjan S — Google review
It is a huge shopping center. It will be fun for kids. Limited number of shops for dresses and shoes compared to the size of the shopping center. Variety of food stalls. Bit of maze if you don't remember your path. Fun time because of Halloween.
Santhosh M — Google review
Waow. What a center. It is a total opposition to the classic malls that are straight and easy to get around. In other words: boring. This center, is amazing by its complexity. You don't know where you started and you don't where you at the first visit. But you learn it fast after few rounds.
Rayray C — Google review
Zero to no parking but that's just an average Tel Aviv experience. Came with public transportation, and isn't that busy during weekdays or when teens & kids are at school. Has a nice cinema, plenty of different shops and places to eat at, but, just like everybody else here, it's not that easy to navigate if you don't come there regularly.
Bun B — Google review
This place is heaven on earth, there is simply no better mall them the Center. The center has a lot of stores you won't be able to find elsewhere and it's one of the biggest malls in israel.
Oliver B — Google review
Great shopping mall for variety shopping lovers and a good place to get lost in the Tel Aviv hell prices.
Liav M — Google review
This mall has everything...including an incredible food market on Thursdays and Fridays. From shops and restaurants to groceries and guitars to...you name it, this mall has what you're looking for. There are often interesting events or displays happening so its worth checking out just to see what's new.

Love getting lost here :) This was my go to shopping center as a child in tel Aviv and i still love coming here 30 years later. It's a great place to run away from the heat and check out the food market on a friday afternoon

HaBima Square, named after Israel's National Theatre, is a vibrant public space in Tel Aviv surrounded by cultural institutions like the Habima Theater and a sunken garden. It serves as a focal point in the city and hosts various activities and performances during Hanukkah celebrations. The square's design combines minimalism with functionality, offering visitors a place to relax amidst its modern surroundings.
Habima Square (also known as The Orchestra Plaza) is a public major space in the center of Tel Aviv which is home to a number of cultural institutions such as the Habima Theatre, the Culture Palace, and the Helena Rubinstein Pavilion for Contemporary Art. One of the beautiful places in Tel Aviv. Lots of space to run and play and it looks beautiful at night. The buildings are set in a square surrounded by several upmarket cafes and restaurants but the real gem is the landscaped gardens where classical music is piped and enjoyed via built in speakers. Amazing on Saturday when all locals gather here for a nice walk, talk and drinks🍹 highly recommended

Habima square is public major space in the Tel Aviv. You can find here space to walk with all family, coffee shops and Habima theater (closed nowadays because of covid 19). Close to Rothschild boulevard. Beautiful place to visit, recommend. Culture place must visit. Hard to find a place for car only in canyon.

What a Beautifully Landscaped and Attractive Garden; Well Pruned and Flourishing Trees; Shallow Reflection Waterscape; The Flowers were in Bloom; Raised Boardwalks and the Artwork/Sculptures are Magnificent to look at. And, many Bus Stops Nearby. Great Location to Stop for a Rest; Drink some cold water and Take a Breath.

Wonderful place. In the middle of stressful city, this green garden is very relaxing area. When you sit on the woody benches you can hear wonderful music and to relax. This music is not loud and you won't hear it outside, so come inside closer to the wooden area and flowers. The feeling is really unusual, the view is amazing with flowers and trees. Highly recommend this place for relaxation :)

This place is heaven on Earth. Water is pretty clean, beach is clean and cleaned often. The guys that rent out the chairs are patient about letting you know you have to buy and pay upfront and waited patiently for me since I didn't know that was the case. Water is shallow enough for kids to hang out in and calming and comfy for adults too. Restaurant near by had your standard beach cafe fare and at times really cool live music. Ambience is wonderful! I hung out here this summer a lot and will probably do so in future Summers as well! A little piece of heaven!

Carmel Market, the largest shuk in Tel Aviv, is an open-air market offering a wide array of local produce, spices, grocery items, and home goods. The market also features dining options where visitors can enjoy gourmet wine and tapas at Basta or savor Israeli meat dishes at M25. Additionally, there's a French-style patisserie that offers classic desserts and Levantine fried dough during Hanukkah.

So I had some time to kill in the morning before my flight home so I joined friends for a walk through this area and had a great time seeing all the stands from candy to house hold items. You can do all your shopping here. The sights, sounds and smell of bread and cooking is wonderful.

A market is marked all over the world. Fresh on the spot juice from a variety of fruits. Market with sellers trying to get you to pay overprice for copy products like Nike, puma, Hugo Boss etc. Lots of cheap souvenirs from Israel. Some sellers can be very invasive Most prices can be dropped with a little bit of bargaining, Most shops sell the same at all different prices. Plenty of Mediterranean food which is delicious.
Zamir M — Google review
A very lively loud and very crowded market where one can find nearly anything, esp, food, spices, clothes, leather goods (incl. well made fake luxury brands). Fresh meat and fish are sold too, sometimes connected to a small eatery (seated or standing). Eateries are very crowded, loud and ventilators are blowing you away or provide fresh air (depending on how one can appreciate such kind of air blowing). If one appreciates a little less noise and crowd I can advise to take a side street and find a cosy place to eat or drink.
Boris G — Google review

The Clock Tower in Jaffa, Tel Aviv is a limestone structure built in 1903 to honor one of the last sultans of the Ottoman Empire. A bustling area but a great spot to visit and admire. The whole area is clean and well kept and there’s so many coffee shops and cafes nearby to sit and watch the world go by. This church takes you back in history to the days when Jesus Christ carried the cross down the road of pain to the location of his crucifixion. A very powerful spiritual journey. Located in the historical part of Jaffa old city. Restaurants and shops nearby. Close to the Jaffa port and promenade. Worth a visit day and night. A melting pot for all nations, here tourists mix with us locals. A major tourist attraction point in Tel Aviv. I love the food aroma, especially on a Friday morning.

Yafo (Jaffa) is steeped in history. The oldest operating port in history.. But one needs to go on a tour or do some research online to access that information.
Antony W — Google review
It is one of seven clock towers in Ottoman Palestine. This one in Jaffa was constructed in 1900-1903 from outpouring of support from the diverse community of the city: Jews, Arabs, Maronites, and Armenians. The clock mechanism was made by a Jewish clock maker. The structure was a commemoration of the reigning Ottoman sultan at the time. Both the Torah and the Sultan's seal are engraved on the second floor. The tower is distinctly an Ottoman architecture. Since its construction, the clock tower has been the focal point of the city that has undergone modernization/changes over the years. Today, it is the most recognizable landmark along with the Old Citadel. Surrounding the clock tower are remarkable modern additions. There's an attractive alley housing several lovely urban murals.

A must see landmark. Jaffa is an Arab town within an Israeli/jewish town. Together they make the City of Tel Aviv. The Clock tower is very old and is at the heart of the older town. I suggest starting there are is it the "gate" to Jaffa and you can experience the devide between one style and the other.

Ramesses Restaurant is a casual dining spot located in Jaffa's antique market, offering a fusion of Mediterranean and contemporary cuisine. The restaurant features an open kitchen and bar, creating a vibrant atmosphere for guests to enjoy live music and DJ sets. Chef Eli Stein's menu focuses on seafood and vegetarian options with creative alternatives for gluten-free diners. The restaurant is situated next to the famous Dr. Shakshuka, making it a less touristy but equally enticing choice.
Absolutely excellent restaurant. I went in thinking the atmosphere is the selling point of the place, but the food blew me away! The serving sizes are a bit small, but you could tell that every dish I had was prepared with so much thought and care. The ribs was definitely my favourite, the mix of flavours was excellent. It had a slightly smoky, rich taste. The sauces alongside it enriched it even more. The zucchini from the stone oven was also a hit. Good tang from the Turkish goat cheese and a lovely charred and smoky taste from the zucchini. I think I would have liked if they did more with the zucchini rather than cook them whole, but it was still delicious. The only dish I personally didn’t care for much was the cauliflower. It seemed under cooked and just lazily placed on top of a curry sauce. The starter tomato salad we had was also delicious; excellently seasoned and not too acidic. This was the best meal I had in Tel Aviv. It felt like a light meal yet I was satiated. My one criticism: the host wasn’t very friendly. Made us feel distant and unwelcome when we told her we didn’t have a reservation. The server was excellent though, we had the Argentinian guy.

Exactly what fine dining is all about. Beautifully crafted dishes that manage to be both recognizable and yet surprising. Fantastic wine by the glass selection. Prices not extreme. Atmosphere - one of the best in Tel Aviv. Staff know exactly what they are doing and have a very good understanding of the menu. Don't miss!

Such a lovely place, hidden from a street noise, with jazz music (payed when we were there, but who knows what's coming ;P) and decent cocktails. We didn't eat much, since we were full, but i couldn't resist their grilled octopus salad > this was a delicious as I imagined from reading the menu.

Absolutely incredible - the best meal I ate in Israel, which speaks for itself in a city of superlative dining experiences. The masabacha, bread and salads were delicious, and the slow-roasted lamb was so good that we actually returned to eat here again a few days later. Service was friendly and the ambiance was wonderful too. My favourite place! EDIT: Returned a year later and the service, food and vibes are still outstanding 😊

Has potential but overall very overrated . The food was mediocre, didn't blow my mind like the hype on this place. We arrived in the evening group of 4 and it was still hot outside so not very comfortable to sit if it's not inside. Service is fine, but could be better. Some of the dishes were very small, the amount is not worth the price, most of them are really pretentious.

Used to be very good gave them 5⭐️ 6 months ago. Used to have a happy hour which was perfect! Now - too pricey, service is ok but!!! I requested Trinidad - A classic cocktail, got it with a twist which was nice. The bad part is *nobody told me* it costs 76ils!!!!!!! 1 glass !!! As they saw my reaction they gave a 20ils discount. Still for 4 people 724 before tipping is exaggerated by far!

HaBasta is a beloved restaurant in Israel, known for its casual and unpretentious atmosphere, accessible fine dining, and consistently excellent quality. Located in the heart of Carmel Market, the restaurant sources almost all of its ingredients from the surrounding stalls, ensuring unrivaled freshness. Chef Eilon Amir creates meticulous market-inspired dishes like black truffle pizza and organ meat delicacies.
Had a delightful meal on Sunday. The staff was accommodating when we asked to sit in a smoke free area. The waitstaff were attentive and considerate, making sure our table was cleared quickly without interruption. The food was amazing. Had the artichoke ravioli... hands down the best thing we had that night. In second place was the sliced tuna with soy. Just enough spice with perfect balance of flavor. The crispy calamari was delicious - I do wish it had been served with a slice of lemon. The dish was rich and needed just a touch of acidity to make it perfect. Don't expect a cheap evening but you can bet on a delicious meal. Can't wait to go back... Hopefully the sweetbreads will be on the menu. Great job!

So we ordered a lot of dishes, the zucchini starter was my favorite starter, though the eggplant one was pretty good too. The pasta was amazing, and the flank steak was delicious but the potatoes had way too much pepper. Overall the food was very good, very pricey but that was expected. At first it took a long time for them to come take our order. Overall great restaurant!

HaBasta (“market stall” in Arabic) is a laid-back, creative Middle Eastern–Mediterranean restaurant tucked beside Shuk HaCarmel. We enjoyed every dish — the okra with fried grape leaves, the beet salad, and the roasted tomato ravioli were all excellent. The service was cordial, and watching the “who’s who” of Tel Aviv stroll in added to the fun, vibrant atmosphere. A great evening and highly recommended!

Amazing food and some of the best service that I have ever encountered at a restaurant! We had the sea bass kabobs - makes me swoon just thinking about them - and salad and ravioli. All served quickly and with a smile. Very pleased!

This is a cozy, unpretentious restaurant situated on a side street a stone's throw away from the bustling Carmel Market. The restaurant offers a wide range of dishes, all of which are based on fresh, locally sourced products, with a strong emphasis on seafood. The crab bourekas that we tried was exceptional, whilst the rest of the dishes were very good. Prices are relatively high, but the place nonetheless offers good value for money.
Raphael S — Google review
I‘ve been to this restaurant many times and each time it is different and in a good way. The menu keeps changing according to the seasonal ingredients and is written each day by hand. All of the dishes are really special and something you probably won’t find in any other restaurant. Yes prices are high but welcome to Tel Aviv - this is the average price for a fine dining experience and in this place you get the value for money. Always very fresh and high quality food, a fantastic time to spend in the heart of the market. If you want good food with an Israeli twist - this is it.
Elaine S — Google review
There’s no such thing as a perfect mea- oh wait. This was absolute perfection. Everything served is fresh from the sea or the market next door, the menu changes according to season and weather, and every ingredient is allowed to truly shine. Some dishes are staples so are usually available, like the wonderful grilled calamari or the salted honey tart (which was indescribably good); others come on and off the menu, like the notorious crab bourekas which we didn’t get to try (sigh). Service was excellent and the alcohol menu is extensive and exciting. I would highly recommend to book a table in advance as the place is usually busy, and it’s definitely not the cheapest meal you’ll have in Tel Aviv. But I guarantee it’s worth it!
Dan Z — Google review
The atmosphere from the market is really nice and the food was excellent, although the portions were rather small for the price. The cocktails were pretty bland, I suggest you order wine from their large selection instead. Overall a great experience, but I'd expect lower prices for a place located in the market. This is not a fine dining restaurant as their name suggests.

The menu features exceptional shawarma, crispy falafel, flavorful hummus and tahini, as well as delectable eggplant dishes and freshly chopped salads.
OMGGG🤤🤤🤤 Hands down to one of the best place for falafel pita and hummus in Tel Aviv. There was a short line when we got there around 2pm on a Tuesday. They were passing free falafel as we were waiting. For a plate of hummus, 2 half pita and a coke we only spent 80 ILS, really good prices in my opinion. I recommend it to anyone

Atmosphere: No indoor or closed area in a season that is fairly hot and tables are unsanitized attracts flies and bad odder from full of waste in bins on tables and the dirty dishes in open area. Service: fast bur when you run that fast there will be mistakes , I paid for 1 shawarma in lafa and 1 falafel in pitta bread and another pitta shawarma sapratly yet because of the queue and fast pace ordered he forgot to make the falafel until I mentioned and showed him the ticket. Sometime a bit balance in speed and efficiency is what needed not just speed Service. Food: Shawarma was fantastic. Meat was flavour correctly and meat cooked just right. Falafel was seemed a bit burnt out on the surface but still delicious inside once you pass that burnt darker crisp. Salads and sauces were just right in both dishes .

The flafel is good, but not sure if worth the hype (and the relatively high price). They did put a lot inside the Pita. The service is pretty bad, they are bot nice, sometimes slow, not always listening.

Some of the best falafel I’ve ever had. Quick service. The schnitzel also got rave reviews!

Best possible falafel and humus: delicious, super tasty and always a good sign: lot of locals eat here. You can even feel the taste only from good it smells staying in the queue - yes, usually jt will be a small queue, but it moves fast and you even get some falafel samples on the way. Portions are huge, so I recommend getting the pita one ( which is smaller ) if you’re not really really hungry. I got falafel and humus - being hungry ( only meal of the day ) and I could finish only half. You order at the counter and everything is made in front of you, fresh. Humus will come after 1-2 minutes and you get a ringer to inform you it’s time to check the counter Can also get sauces and pickles salad free of charge from the right side. Definitely recommend, I had the most amazing arabic food ( falafel or humus ) so you must check it out.
