Museums
Tel Aviv Museum of Art is a renowned museum featuring an international collection of modern and contemporary art, along with a captivating sculpture garden. Situated on the eastern edge of Tel Aviv, it is part of the new central business district in Sarona Market. The museum was established in 1932 and has grown to become one of Israel's largest and most significant art institutions. Visitors can explore various departments showcasing Israeli art, modern art, photography, design, architecture, and more.
Tel Aviv Museum art was great, it has many of the modern impressionists and European (Artist) Jew's in the collection which was wonderful to see. There was plenty on offer to see and I would recommend a visit here if you enjoy the visual arts.

I love this place. The building itself is original and the atmosphere is welcoming. I come at least once a month to see the new temporary exhibitions and to participate a guided tours. There is a caffeteria and restaurant on site. All the time there are activities for the families and kids.

Normally I am not very affine to arts but this museum caught me. Due to the hot weather we were looking for a place to go. We had our children (age of 8 and 10) with us and we really had fun. It's amazing what children are able to see in paintings. I was really impressed by the artists which are shown there: Renoir, Monet, Klimt, Picasso.... But also the contemporary part was great. I can really recommend it (also with children).
Janine Z — Google review
Great museum of Modern Art in Tel Aviv. Spacious with a lot of temporary installations as well, impressionism, pop-art, a garden with sculptures and a lot more. We spent 75ILS for an adult and a senior

One of the highlights of my visit was the stunning collection of Israeli art, which provides a unique perspective on the country's rich cultural heritage and history. The museum's collection includes works by renowned Israeli artists such as Reuven Rubin, Nahum Gutman, and Yigal Tumarkin, among others. These artworks offer a fascinating insight into the Israeli art scene and its evolution over the years. The museum's architecture is also noteworthy, with its modern and sleek design that seamlessly blends with the surrounding urban landscape.

Highly recommend! Had the best time with my 5 yo daughter. She mostly enjoyed the Helena Rubinstein’s Miniature Rooms, the birds and the NFT exhibitions. The museum is very well maintained, clean and not crowded. Kids under 18 get a free ticket. Personally I prefer to get the tickets online, but there was no line waiting to buy tickets in the museum itself when we got there. The museum is closed on Sundays. Opens at 10 am each other day of the week. Check the website about the closing hours which change every day. And of course opening hours change on holidays.
Anna F — Google review
The Tel Aviv Museum of Art is worth a visit to see some of the permanent collections. A reasonable collection of Impressionists and Contemporary artists. Cannot be compared to the collection say at the Kunsthaus in Zurich which is on another level but that said, it will satisfy those that enjoy art and culture. A must for all art lovers. Wonderful collection displaying works from loads of famous painters such as Chagall, Renoir, Picasso and so many more. Beautifully curated, amazing temporary exhibitions as well. Unique architecture. The collection is top-top level. The best works of the World’s Greats are here. The most impressive Chagalls,Pollocks and Picassos I’ve ever seen.
Alex D — Google review
Amazing museum with an endless amount of exhibitions and artifacts that span many eras but more focused towards modern art and local artists. A beautiful plaza out front and an easy walk in the downtown area makes this a convenient getaway when visiting the city. Audio guides and maps are available as part of the standard admission ticket. Some time limited special exhibitions are well worth checking out.

Eretz Israel Museum in Tel Aviv is a vast indoor and outdoor museum showcasing the rich history and culture of Israel. The museum features diverse exhibits on Israeli society, including archaeology, ethnography, applied art, and photography. Spanning 20 acres with about 15 buildings and installations, it offers a contemporary perspective on various cultural aspects. Additionally, the museum houses a planetarium where visitors can stargaze like Galileo did through his telescope.
The Museum consists of open-air and indoor parts (pavilions). The Eretz Israel Museum in Tel Aviv is a fascinating museum that tells the story of the land of Israel from its earliest days to the present. There are so many exciting pavilions: Kadman Numismatic Pavilion, Alexander Museum of Postal history and Philately, Ceramics Pavilion, Glass Pavilion, Man and his work Pavilion, and more and more. No words are enough to express unforgettable impressions. Start with the glass pavilion, which doesn’t look like much from the outside but is beautifully renovated inside. Then head to the ceramic pavilion, the fascinating (if you’re into history) coins pavilion, and the new exhibit on Baron Rothschild. Museum contains historical exhibitions mixed with contemporary art. Historical exhibitions are pretty old, was renovated a long time ago. A very impressive collection of contemporary art and design, exploring personal and social impact of modern life and consumerism on ourselves and on our environment.highly recommended to visit.

A huge area out side. The museum is good. There is absolutely no service, we went to a cafe on the territory. They refused to put us in a cafe, while people came after us and sat down at this place without questions. The museum is not only an exhibition, but also an additional service. I still didn't understand what their museum store is the best. This information is on the website. A very small book department. Most souvenirs are not about the museum at all, they can be bought in a regular store.

This is my first time and it was wow! It is a must visit if you want to know what Israel look like before the great building. You could also check some biblical truths there like the story of Samson in the Bible.
Share T — Google review
Loved it! The kids workshops are the best look for them during festivals. Make sure you register in advance! Parking likely to be an issue try to arrive in public transport if you can. Some exhibitions could be a little more interesting and interactive.

Start with the glass pavilion, which doesn’t look like much from the outside but is beautifully renovated inside. Then head to the ceramic pavilion, the fascinating (if you’re into history) coins pavilion, and the new exhibit on Baron Rothschild. Not all the pavilions are open (a sign that they’re doing necessary renovations) but still definitely worthwhile. The amount of artifacts and texts can be overwhelming, but those who are claiming there’s nothing to see here are way off. Finally, the cafe beside the ancient mosaics is lovely. You can order takeaway and bring it to the tables on the grass...

For Archeology lovers I can't think about any other place where you can understand the name of the city Tel Aviv. Coming to the museum you may follow the instructions if the map you receive. Like that you will not get lost, or miss some of the buildings. I did the first time, trying to get first to the Tel Qasile. Fürst settled by the Philistines in the 12 cent. Which brings us to the story if the Exodus and the Hebrew Bible (OT) but it was only the beginning of a line if settlements. Four shrines, public buildings...It is hard to understand what belonged to what, and when. But is it really important. For me it is more that I walk through history. Biblical Archeology and... People lived here, build here and still building. The contrast can't be more amazing, looking over the ruins towards the New City Tel Aviv. The name comes from the book Old Land-New Land. Well here it is the old tell and the new City. Aviv in hebrew spring. A symbol for fresh, young, new. Wine press, olive press, flour mill, traditional work tools...all this we see all over the country on different places. But it is most not complete. So nice to see it in working condition to be able to understand archeological sites. Coins, postal service, some modern art. Enough information but not overwhelmed by to much. I like the place. Also that there is a need to step out of the building to reach the next place. If you have enough time, I think it is nice to visit the museum. Easy to reach with the public bus.

Lots of unique artifacts and archaeological site. I especially liked the recreation of the 4 room house and public market, the first of either I had seen after 2.5 years in Israel, after visiting so many ruins.

The Ilana Goor Museum is a unique attraction located in the heart of Old Jaffa, showcasing the diverse works of Israeli artist Ilana Goor. Housed in a beautifully restored historic building, the museum features an eclectic collection of sculptures, furniture, paintings, jewelry and clothing curated by the renowned artist herself. Visitors can enjoy stunning sea views from the museum's windows and immerse themselves in a peaceful atmosphere while exploring this fascinating blend of art and history.
Do you want to know how deep this rabbit hole goes? Very unusual and interesting place. Objectively, you can probably give it 4, but emotions and sensations - it's definitely 5. I am quite picky and strict about some types of art(and modern art especially) and really dislike many things that are done objectively badly, but people can shout "wow, this is art!" ...but this place was interesting to me. This house is filled with a little art-chaos and makes you feel a little like Alice from the famous book. My experience in this place was so unusual in my personal feelings. Many of the works were interesting to look at. I definitely did not regret the purchased ticket.
Alexandr O — Google review
Very impressive museum located in the historical part of Jaffa, Probably my favorite spot to visit in Old Jaffa. Very interesting collection of masterpieces and curious thing to see. There is also small shop with very nice handmade artist’s jewelry. Such an amazing array of art throughout the most uniquely designed museum I have ever been to. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed my time spent there. Profound, unusual, beautiful, mysterious, joyful. One has to experience every floor, culminating on the roof top. From the rooftop the view amazing, and atmosphere of the terrace is incredible. There are many uncountable items in the museum and -because of that- this is not a typical and classical museum. This is more than a museum. I was amazed by the variety of arts from all over the world, the lovely atmosphere and a brilliant exhibition of young artists Nadia Gorenstein & Lior Kesem Hamama.Highly recommended 🙏🙏
Alex D — Google review
Very impressive museum located in the historical part of Jaffa, close to the part. You can find very diverse items here. Truly eclectic collection. Skin, wood, metal, photographs and paintings. There is a nice view from balcony. Must see in Jaffa. There is more art outside this place in the surrounding streets.
Kamila Ś — Google review
It is an impressive museum. Very-very interesting and unique place. Worth to visit absolutely. I arrived 15 minutes before closing. The nice desk office lady told me I can look around the museum quickly and because of the short time I didn't have to pay entrance fee. From the rooftop the view amazing, and atmosphere of the terrace is incredible. There are many uncountable items in the museum and -because of that- this is not a typical and classical museum. This is more than a museum!
János K — Google review
This is truly one of the kookiest art museums I have been to, in a great way. Ilana has collected a vast and diverse collection that somehow works together. What's cool is that you can tell it's a living and breathing art museum, constantly changing and adjusting. I even saw Ilana herself for a brief moment! Unfortunately when I visited the terrace wasn't open, which seems to have even more pieces and a gives a great view of the sea, but regardless it was a fun place to spot into in the area.
Dipika — Google review
Museum with varied epochs and exhibits. A lot of modern art mixed up with elements of the past time. The elements of the skin, wood of metal perfectly combined with each other and create a unique whole. Everyone will find something for their tastes with the possibility of buying. The building, both outside and inside, delights, I recommend visiting this place.
Elena — Google review
The must visit place. Very interesting collection of masterpieces and curious thing to see. There is also small shop with very nice handmade artist’s jewelry . We’ll be back for the jazz party
Elena C — Google review
This museum is her (the acclaimed artist's) home! The home is filled with not only her amazing art (paintings, sculpture, jewelry), but the work of other artists. All contemporary art juxtaposed with antiquities. Ancient vessels, African art, Christian art, contemporary art, all eclectically arranged to tell a story, it's her (the artist's) story. If you love art, this is a "must see"

The Yitzhak Rabin Center is an educational institution located between the Eretz Israel and Palmach museums, dedicated to the life of former Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and the history of Israel. It offers a detailed exploration of Rabin's life and its connection to the country's history through individual audio devices for self-paced tours or guided tours. Additionally, visitors can also explore the site of his assassination at Tel Aviv Municipality steps and the memorial inaugurated there.

Palestine-Israel history with the eyes of the jews. The museum has a big collection of photographs and the installations are different to everything I have seen before. It is interesting. Unfortunately, the service at the desk was not so great as the exhibition.
Dorothee H — Google review
A very interesting museum. It tells the story of Israel through life of Yitzhak Rabin.
Anastasia D — Google review
The center is a museum dedicated to the life of the assassinated Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. The entry was ₪50 including the audio guide, which mine was glitchy. Every staff member that I encountered starting from the security gate on was either rude, indifferent, or demeaning. The person that was doing the guided tour, which I was not apart of, was so loud that I could not hear my headset over his obnoxious voice. The museum itself is well planned out with mediocre curating that included propaganda reels and replicas. There was a lot of audio and video of Rabin and the sitting room of his home, as it was on the day of his murder. I also liked the timeline of historic global events juxtaposed in parallel to the events that were shaping Isreal as a nation.
Daeniilanen E — Google review
I never thought it would be so good. I actually went there by mistake. From the US, I thought I would not care. You walk in a circle and learn of his life in a chronological order and branch off in rooms that tell you what is also happening in the world and in Israel at the same time. I cleaver way to put everything in to prospective. The museum was very honest to the challenges of coexistence. Yofi.

The Gutman Museum, located in the historic Writers Home of Neve Tzedek, showcases the diverse works of Israeli artist Nachum Gutman. The museum was opened in 1988 and features a collection donated by the artist's family, highlighting his talents as a painter, illustrator, sculptor, and children's author. Visitors can explore Gutman's art that depicts the early days of Neve Tzedek and its evolution.
This is a lovely museum in a small street in a very nice part of Tel Aviv. The artist tells the story of Tel Aviv from his unique perspective. We really enjoyed our visit here. It wasn't crowded and the rooms were nice and cool. There is a good gift shop and a very nice café around the corner.

Ben-Gurion House, located on Ben Gurion Avenue in central Tel Aviv, was the former work residence of David Ben Gurion, an influential figure in the founding of Israel. The house served as the residence for Ben Gurion and his family from 1931 to 1968 before being given to the State of Israel. Built in 1930-31 by engineer David Tuvia, it is situated in Tel Aviv's first neighborhood established by the Jewish National Fund.
Must see place . You are being guided by audio from room to room . The Library is amazing . You get to see aspects of Ben Gurion’s daily life while in Tel Aviv.

Awesome free little museum that showcases the original prime minister's house. Plenty of artifacts and well labeled and described with English descriptions. Ask for an English audio guide which really enhances the experience with very detailed descriptions.

What a great insight into the life of Ben Gurion! The guide was so so good and able to share many facts of how Ben Gurion would learn language for conversation and also because he wanted to read the book in its original writing! Insights into how the wife, Paula was so protective of his health during the Sinai war.. just so much things to glean from! Totally recommend a long visit!

The Rubin Museum, located in the heart of Tel Aviv near the Carmel Market, is a museum dedicated to showcasing the life and art of Reuben Rubin, a pioneering Israeli artist. The museum is housed in Rubin's former residence and features his artworks that reflect the Eretz Yisrael artistic style. Reuben Rubin was a Romanian-born painter who became one of Israel's most famous early artists and played a significant role in shaping Israeli art.
Small and cute museum. Rubin has a very unique style of painting and to be able to view his art in his very own house was a nice experience. You can go through all in an hour so i suggest to come and see if you interested in Zionism art. 30₪ for entrance.
Tahel B — Google review
One of the best things to do in Tel Aviv. I didn’t know Rubin, but it is worth the visit. Plus, it is in Bialik street, famous for the houses of the Bauhaus period.
Carlotta B — Google review
Beautiful museum showcasing Rubin’s paintings throughout his lifetime, housed in the house he and his family actually lived in. The first two floors are dedicated to his paintings, and the third floor is his artist workspace, along with a section of captioned photos from his lifetime. Small gift shop area downstairs and very courteous, helpful staff. Student and senior discount.

This might be a branch of their HQ in New York City. Small but interesting and eclectic collection. There was this rotating Tibetan Exhibition when we were there. Really nice. Four star only because it’s a very small museum, not because what they have. No need to go out of your way as a destination (say as when you go the the National British Museum or the Met in NY), but worth checking whenever one is in the neighbourhood.

Located on the beach, Etzel Museum offers a quick history lesson about the battle over Jaffa between 1947 and 1948. The museum is a preservation project designed by Amnon Niv in collaboration with the IDF museum unit and the Israel Antiquities Authority. It is built on ruins reflecting the history of Russian Zionism and Jewish immigrants during the 1948 war.
This is a small but informative museum right by the beach in a beautiful building that has won architecture awards. I do recommend brushing up on the history of British Mandate Palestine before visiting, as the museum doesn't offer much beyond history specific to the one underground group.

As a tourist looking for some more information about the war of independence I felt a bit disappointed. We were missing a lot of context on what exactly the Etzel is. I think we came out of the museum with more questions than when we came in. Half of the Hebrew texts were not translated, making it hard to follow the exhibition.

Small but very historical. If you would like to get more information on this amazing fighting force before and after the war of independence plan to spend approximately one hour at this enchanting Museum. Built into the ruins of an old Turkish Mansion right on the beach.

Nice museum, small but very informative. I do recommend to visit the other military-related museums in Tel Aviv as well: Hagana Museum, IDF Museum (which is really close to Etzel Museum), Palmach Museum.

Nestled on a hill in the charming Old Jaffa quarter, the Jaffa Museum of Antiquities is a must-visit destination for anyone intrigued by history and art. This remarkable museum occupies an Ottoman-era building that stands atop the remnants of an 11th-century Crusader fortress, once serving as Jaffa's administrative hub. Inside, visitors can explore a captivating array of exhibits that span from ancient artifacts to contemporary art pieces.
This small museum now has an exhibition of toys used in Israel from the early 20th century till now. The exhibition is on the 2nd floor which is not suitable for people with mobility issues. Admission is free but operating hours are limited. Enclosed are some of the displays of this exhibit.

I went at sunset and it was amazing. There really are no words. It's a holy site and the music, the sea air and the pristine surroundings create a feeling you probably can't find anywhere else. You don't need the museum. Just walk around.

The Joseph Bau House Museum is a unique artist workshop that serves as a memorial to the renowned graphic designer, Joseph Bau. Through various mediums such as movies, animations, paintings, and extensive research materials, visitors can immerse themselves in his fascinating life story and artistic works. The museum breaks away from typical museum typology by offering a constant interaction between past and contemporary art. Located near Rotschild boulevard, it houses the entire collection of Joseph Bau's art including short films.
In this tiny museum, we learned about Joseph Bau. A holocaust survivor, creator of hebrew fonts, animator, and chief graphics man of the Mossad. His daughter told us his (and his wife) fascinating life story. Place definitely worth visiting - takes about one hour+ to see and hear all.

An anthropological experience of the two daughters of Joseph Bau, a creative man, one of the fathers of graphic design in Israel, a Holocaust survivor with an extraordinary life story. The sisters keep the place and the amazing story they keep alive is worth a visit. Ask questions and note that the story is not over.

So interesting We had a most interesting and intimate perspective of this remarkable yet unsung hero in Jewish/israels history His two daughters account were utterly charming

Fascinating little museum about the life and works of Joseph Bau and his wife, Rebecca. Best to contact the museum by phone or email ahead of time to make a reservation. We spent an hour and a half, much of it, speaking with the curator about her father. The museum is a 20 minute walk from the Tel Aviv, art museum, and a 20 minute walk from the beach. Very centrally located.

The Bauhaus Center Tel Aviv is a treasure trove for design enthusiasts and architecture lovers alike. This center not only showcases the city's rich Bauhaus heritage but also features an impressive gallery and a collection of books dedicated to this iconic style. Visitors can embark on guided tours that delve into the fascinating history of over a dozen notable Bauhaus buildings, including the striking Ehrlich house and Shiff house, while learning how this architectural movement adapted to Tel Aviv's unique climate.
Did the self-tour (90mins video+walking) and just loved it. Whether you are an architect expert or not (I'm not) this is a secret jewel in your visit to Tel Aviv, as you will see with different eyes from then on. The city historic background and it's beautiful buildings are not a coincidence. Very nice people in the center too. Definitely 10/10!

What a great place. Built in the 1970's. Still modern. Must have been amazing when it first opened. Fresh airy spaces with curves and a maze of little interesting shops and boutiques. Coffee shops to eat in on every floor. Book shops, clothes, tattoo parlour, electronic HiFi and ordinary electric home appliances. Fresh fruit and vegetables, cosmetics and mobile phones. On the lowest floor is a large sand pit and children play area surrounded by 2 easy coffee shops. We are in Greg coffee shop where dogs are also welcome. Amazing shopping mall unlike any other I have been to. Starting to show it's are but well worth a visit. Allow enough time to explore. I was told that all the plants on the balconies are hydroponic and that the grow vegetables to eat on the roof along with a resident bee hive.

The Peres Center for Peace and Innovation, situated in Yafo, was established by Shimon Peres, Israel's 9th president. It is a hub for meaningful programs that aim to promote peace and innovation in Israel and its neighboring regions. The center offers an interactive 90-minute presentation showcasing the story of Israel as the Start-Up Nation. Visitors can embark on a guided tour through various rooms featuring displays related to innovation and Shimon Peres' life.

TL;DR really worth a visit! Went there with my 2 small kids and they had a really good timeIt's located next to Jaffa shore in a new huge building. You have to order a tour that is ~1 hour and when it ends you have ~1 hour to solve an escape box which is also very nice. The tour has several rooms each with a different display that relates to innovation or to Shimon peres life. they are all very interesting I think that it should be longer since in almost all rooms it felt that it ended in the middle. Toilets (too few) and water are available inside. Parking is available in the adjacent public parking lot.
Dani S — Google review
During my last holiday break, I visited the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation. The visit is part of a guided tour of up to 25 participants only after purchasing tickets in advance on the center's website. The tour is recommended for ages 10 and up and is available in 4 languages to choose from Hebrew, Arabic, English and Chinese. The center offers full accessibility for the disabled, a storage service and even a cold water bar. A nice surprise is that there is free parking, right next to the center, an amazing benefit in Tel Aviv. Unlike visiting any other state site in Israel or the world, the place is neatly designed and full of personal charm. The architecture of the building is very special, which sends the visitor a clear message and invites him to be part of an interesting world that holds a fascinating future for the benefit of all mankind. The visit is a 90 min guided interactive tour that goes through different stations in the building. Immediately upon entering, we were greeted by a welcoming guide. After a brief and exhaustive explanation in "The Hall of Inspiration", we moved to the other part of the main hall for an impressive space where several human-sized screens were set up for personal experience in an impressive virtual meeting with Israel's leading entrepreneurs, who each presented in turn by our personal choice the innovation secrets they personally led. From there we climbed the steps of the building in an impressive space to the first floor for the "Nation of Innovation" for the Israeli innovation story of the most promising startups and developments exist today. Immediately after we were led into President Shimon Peres's original workroom impressively restored, where he has worked in his last years soaking up his inspiration and translating his dreams into reality. From the workroom we proceeded to the second floor to the "capsule", a surprisingly interactive and impressive 3D design that conveys the visitor to a futuristic world. The futuristic virtual meeting is well-crafted and presents a timely journey through the spectacles along with cameras that scan visitors' movements to empower the interactive experience and give a taste of the future challenges of humanity and tomorrow's technologies. It was a sweeping experience and the proof of this can be obtained from the cries of pleasure and happiness of the children and their parents who fill the hall throughout the performance. The last is "Contemporary Innovation Gallery" exhibit, where Israeli`s startups and promising development companies are present. One of the most surprising things during the tour, in my opinion, was the stand in which an Israeli startup raising grasshoppers for human consumption was introduced. The problem of securing food supplies in the future becomes very topical, by 2050 the global demand for food will double, and no one has any idea how the world will be able to supply it. The Israeli startup managed to reduce grasshopper growing time from nine weeks to two weeks ... amazing. The surprising part of the story is that we were given the opportunity to taste the grasshoppers... And for those who care about the kosher thing… grasshoppers are kosher 😀 Of Course some of the visitors were as enthusiastic as I was to taste the grasshoppers and there were those who were only frightened at the idea of putting an insect in their mouths. Finally, we were led into a wide room for an escape room-style experience to try and discover with the help of various clues to open a locked box with a number of locks. My impression of the children and their parents who chose to stay and experiment that everyone were greatly enjoyed. It was amazing. My guest was delighted and thrilled by the impressive visit and I, too. Initially I was skeptical in the end I very much enjoyed and even learned a thing or two 😀

The Palmach Museum in Tel Aviv is a tribute to the Jewish Palmach fighting brigades, showcasing their pivotal role in shaping Israel's history. The museum offers interactive exhibits, displays of documents and artifacts, and seminars that delve into the struggles and triumphs of these legendary fighters. It provides insight into their contributions during WWII, the Palestinian campaign in 1948, and the Six-Day War.
The Palmach Museum is located in Ramat Aviv and is dedicated to the Palmach strike-force of the Haganah defense organization that operated prior to the establishment of the State of Israel in 1948.

Not really a museum but more an experience traveling through multiple rooms telling the story of the Palmach. Personalised by relating entirely to a small team. Used original and recreated film which are clearly distinguished. Brings the early struggle for the state to life

You MUST have a pre-arranged reservation and your passport to get through security and pay the ₪30 entrance fee. There is only the timed, guided tour through the museum that has been built into a military facility. The tour itself starts with a short speech from your guide, followed by a series of film projections in specially curated sets. The story follows a founding group's experiences through Independence and the subsequent Arab conflicts from the Isreali perspective as the Palmach transitions to the IDF. There is also a large collection of photographic artifacts and a small Café. Often there are vetrans that visit at the end of the tour for questions and photos.

The Ramat Gan Museum of Israeli Art, established in 1997, is a unique institution dedicated to showcasing Israeli art. It provides a platform for both established and emerging artists to display their works. The current exhibition, "Tomorrow," offers a captivating experience with classic artworks from the past two centuries as well as contemporary pieces. Visitors can explore two large halls featuring video art and an NTF room, while the VR room offers three distinct experiences.
It's a wonderful exhibit. Very original and engaging. I recommend you take your time to visit it. We spent 3 hours there and we could have stayed longer.
Debby S — Google review
The nice exhibition and shouldn't be compared with others overseas (like VAN GOGH) because then you may be disappointed. Good and kind welcome from the staff. The visit to all the halls takes about 3 hours. In every hall you get headphones (recommend to clean them before use!) but it is also possible without, to hear what's going on, just keep in mind that people bring children who are less interested in the exhibition and they start making noises and running around like playground (it's a shame that there is no consideration and the museum has its hands tied on the issue). Those suffering from certain illnesses keep informed, I didn't find anything written and the staff doesn't really warn. The museum has 3 floors of the exhibition, there is an elevator -disabled friendly- and a staff member who can explain a bit about what you are going to see. Try to buy tickets with discounts from all kinds of clubs, including discounts at credit card companies. We paid NIS 49 a ticket through Isracard. Keep in mind: it's a bit cold due to the air conditioning in one of the halls were the exhibition takes about an hour and a half, so come prepared with clothing. Second, there is an additional NIS 10 for a VR device which is a different experience (I wasn't so impressed). There are full of coffee shops and food around, including a coffee shop on the roof of the museum. Enjoy !

Beit Ha’Ir Museum, located in the picturesque Bialik Square, is housed in a former municipal building constructed in 1925. Originally intended to be a hotel, it has served various purposes and is best known as the residence of Tel Aviv's first Mayor, Meir Dizengoff. The museum offers permanent displays on the city's history, culture, and architecture and hosts shows and events during holidays.
Beit Ha’ir (Hebrew for Town Hall) is designed to be an open house for those residents, artists, writers, scholars, tourists, and other guests who want to become better acquainted with Tel Aviv and to partake in its story and spirit; a lively hub of exhibitions and information about the city in all its historical periods, as well as an active civic arena — a place to conduct current public debates and to advance urban processes.

Independence Hall, also known as Dizengoff House, is a museum in Shalom Tower where the declaration of the State of Israel took place in 1948. Despite its unassuming appearance, it holds great historical significance. Visitors can learn about this pivotal event and the history of Tel Aviv-Jaffa through informative exhibits. The site offers a moving experience as visitors can sit in the hall where Hatikva was sung for the first time as Israel's national anthem.
I'm probably not objective, but this experience loved me to tears. It's actually a temporary location while the municipality is fixing the actual historical location where the signing of the declaration took place. The exhibit is pretty well done and it's a short cultural experience that's accompanied by an 11 minute movie that can then be coupled by a visit to shuk hacarmel or a walk in the neve tzedek neighborhood famous for it's boutique cafes and artisan shops.

Definitely a great start to learning about Tel Aviv! The name Tel Aviv in Hebrew means "Hill ( tel) of Spring (aviv)". This is the title given by Nahum Sokolow to his Hebrew translation of Theodor Herzl's book Altneuland (German: " The Old New Land"). Fascinating to learn about how the first settlers of 64 family started by buying sand dunes and from there building this city that we are in today! What a momentous place to hear how Israel was declared as a state from this very place - located on the historic Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv, Israel. From 1932 to 1971 housing the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, it is currently a museum dedicated to the signing of the Israeli Declaration of Independence and the history of Tel Aviv. The Tel Aviv Museum was established in 1932, at the instigation of the city’s first mayor, Meir Dizengoff. He envisioned the growth of Tel Aviv into a vibrant modern metropolis with all its cultural institutions, including a museum of art. As part of his vigorous efforts to make this vision a reality, Dizengoff appealed to members of the arts and culture community in the city, enlisted his personal connections around the world, and ultimately even donated his own private residence as the new museum’s first abode. On Friday, May 14, 1948, the state of Israel’s Declaration of Independence was proclaimed at the Museum building at 16 Rothschild Boulevard in Tel Aviv. This historic event also marked the start of a new chapter in the Museum’s history.

The space is dedicated to a single event with a 24 NIS entry fee. There is a movie room, with a version available in English, that provides the historic context of the Israeli statehood movement. There is some art, photos, and a declaration, but it was difficult to determine which pieces were authentic or replications. The room itself has been recreated for the scene of the independence declaration, where tours are available in English.

This is a very small museum compared to other museums (Israel/Holocaust) and it's about 20 shekels to get in. If it's expensive for you it's ok to skip, you can learn most from Wiki readings

Very inspiring place, nice kept. It is amazing being there, at the same spot where Ben Gurion decalred Israel's independence 70 years ago

Nestled atop a hill in Old Jaffa, Abrasha Park is a delightful public space that offers breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea and the vibrant cityscape of Tel Aviv. This charming park features the iconic Wishing Bridge adorned with zodiac signs and the impressive Gate of Faith statue by Daniel Kafri, which beautifully illustrates scenes from the Hebrew Bible. Visitors can also explore nearby attractions like the Franciscan Church of St.
A very cute little park with ups and downs that lacks benches but is beautiful and pleasant to visit when you're in the old city anyway. Contains the wishing bridge and some portal like sculpture. Gets better if you take a cold valilla drink with you.

Beautiful park on a small hill. My favorite park in Tel Aviv. The view at any time of the day or night is fantastic. ⛱️🏖️🌃🌞 There are many places where you can sit. For example, on the grass with a beautiful view or there is also a small amphitheater with benches. I recommend visiting this place at different times. Each time the species are different and beautiful in their own way.

Abrasha park is well known place for tourists. The small but very well packed park with a lot of archeological spots to see. Located on top of the hill of old city Jaffa. Good place to see the panoramic view on the sea and Tel Aviv city. Great park for walk. Also you can find restaurants and small shops to stay and rest. Very recommended to visit and enjoy the place.

Very nice public gardens in the heart of old Jaffa. Don't forget to make a wish at the zodiac bridge while holding your sign and looking at Tel Aviv in the distance. Rest a little at the benches in the shades before diving again in the hustle of the big city.

This is a must in tel Aviv. There is public bathrooms and good places to rest. Nice view to the city.

The park is beautiful, right next to the Wishing Bridge by historic Jaffa. The top has a beautiful lookout point from which you can see the old city of Jaffa surrounding and the shoreline of Tel Aviv to the north. Great spot for a picnic or a stop while taking a scenic bike ride. Park was built on the excavated tel that existed in Jaffa in order to beautify and improve the area (unfortunately the local people were moved to allow for the excavations and weren't given the opportunity to return)

Shopping mall
Dizengoff Center in Tel Aviv is not just your average shopping mall. Named after one of the founding families of Israel, it's a hub of the city's spirit with a variety of shops, brands, cafes, and restaurants. The unique architecture features sloping floors and a street-like vibe that creates an enjoyable shopping experience. Visitors can also find a big movie theater and plenty of dining options.
Filled with interesting stores carrying almost anything you might want, several cafés and restaurants, and a movie theater, it's always lively. Dizingoff Center is in the heart of TLV so it's easy to access and is steps away from the many shops and restaurants of Dizingoff Street. On Fridays, there is a food market that brings in many vendors who set up kiosks and sell an amazing variety of food.

Waow. What a center. It is a total opposition to the classic malls that are straight and easy to get around. In other words: boring. This center, is amazing by its complexity. You don't know where you started and you don't where you at the first visit. But you learn it fast after few rounds.

A mall, close to the Carmel Shuk. In early days of Israel, it was one of the main attractions to people. It has two parts, connected by a sky bridge. The mall is full of all kind of shops that you can imagine. When I visit TelAviv, I spend at least an hour at this place.

It is a huge shopping center. It will be fun for kids. Limited number of shops for dresses and shoes compared to the size of the shopping center. Variety of food stalls. Bit of maze if you don't remember your path. Fun time because of Halloween.

One of the biggest malls in the city of Tel Aviv. Most of the international brands are present. However, like any other shopping malls across the world the prices seem to be on the higher end. Most of the people in the shops are very friendly and helpful. Particularly the employees at Super Pharm store at the ground floor were amazing. However, there are some shops where you will find it difficult to talk if you don't know Hebrew. Overall a good experience.
Kumar S — Google review
Went there yesterday and back again today. Great building. Worth going just to see the architecture. Built in the 1970's it must have been very impressive as it still is. Superb selection of boutique shops in a maze of corridors which feel airy and light. Food, clothes, coffee shops, pet store supplies, tattoo parlours, camera shop, book store, cinema, Japanese animae models and comics, juice bar, MacDonald and burger king! Great wine shop with interesting spirits, kiddy play area with large real sand pit. Electronics and home wares, pharmacy and supermarket and fresh fruit and veg. Well worth a visit but leave yourself LOTS of time. You'll need it.

The Whiskey Bar & Museum, situated in the historic Sarona district, is a unique establishment with a rich history. Housed in a former 19th-century wine cellar that was once utilized by the Mossad, this venue offers an intriguing blend of museum, bar, and restaurant. Boasting an extensive collection of over 1000 whiskeys from 13 different countries, it stands as one of the largest whiskey bars globally.
I was here with my team for our last supper in Israel as after this we all were going back to our destination. We were greeted well as a team and our server was very smart and quick. She took everyone's drink order and made sure everyone gets what they ordered. Since it's a whiskey bar we ordered whiskey and a glass of red wine. There were appetizers that were served in all different kinds, tuna, beef, vegetables and so on. Our main course was chicken and Salmon. I ordered salmon and it was delicious, thereafter dessert was served and to those who needed coffee that was served too. The food was delicious, the service was great and the ambience is unique as it is an old independence war shelter and planes factory with majestic whiskey bar with a huge collection of blends and bottles, it's also a great restaurant since it serves Kosher food. The ambiance is amazing. Highly recommended!! They have three stories but we were on the second floor. The restroom is a little small but neat and clean. Overall, I will highly recommend visiting this place as there's a lot more to explore at this bar.

Want a romantic evening? Want a place where friends can have a great meal? This is your place. One of the best steaks I've had in the city. The sashimi salmon was amazing. The servers were attentive without hovering. They were knowledgeable and had great recommendations. Will absolutely be back.

A sprawling, stylish restaurant that commands attention with its impressive scale and sophisticated ambiance. The menu is expansive and diverse, offering an exceptional array of international dishes that cater to every palate. The drinks list is equally impressive, featuring a vast selection of wines. While our initial experience with the service left something to be desired—slow responses and a lack of attentiveness—the situation was transformed when Eliot, the manager, stepped in. With professionalism and genuine care, he not only remedied the immediate issues but ensured the rest of our evening unfolded seamlessly. His personal attention and commitment to guest satisfaction turned what could have been a disappointing visit into a memorable one, proving that strong management can elevate the entire dining experience.
Y M — Google review
Great experience, the service was good but there is room for improvement, we ordered a few glasses of wine and instead of coming to the table with a bottle and empty glasses the waiter went back and forth to the bartender to fill glasses. This is just an example and the service was great besides those small points. The food and alcohol is amazing and fresh. The atmosphere is the perfect combination between ancient and new. Overall experience: 8.7/10
Tye B — Google review
I went to lunch with my wife. The food arrived almost two hours after we ordered. They sent us the wrong main course, and when we told the waiter, he said they were out of what we ordered. My wife then ordered a fish dish; it arrived cold and raw, and was very poorly presented. Half an hour later, mine arrived; I ordered meat. The presentation was good, but it had absolutely no salt and was more greasy than meat. The only thing we liked were the cocktails. The prices are also very high for what they offer. The waiters served us well, but the restaurant was a disaster. We also asked to speak to the manager, but he never came out. When we arrived, they gave us a discount, but it still wasn't worth it. I don't recommend it.
Thomi D — Google review
Its a boutique establishment, but when there is a wave of new customers, you're left unattended for more than expected.... Otherwise wonderfull place, some staff really are really knowledgeable while some others aren't. So if you feel like you're missing out, ask if there is someone that can provide you more information. Regardless will definitely go there again and update my review accordingly

The Hagana Museum is a small yet informative museum located centrally, offering a glimpse into the history of the Jewish Yishuv defense force. It outlines the development of Jewish self-defense forces from the late 19th century to 1948, including Bar-Giora, Hashomer, and Haganah. The museum features exhibits on David Ben-Gurion and provides insight into his personality and work.
This museum outlines the the development of the Jewish self-defence forces, from Bar-Giora and Hashomer during the first Yishuv in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, respectively, to the Haganah from 1920-1948. It is a fantastic museum with many exciting stories to tell. The plight of the early settlers and the struggle during the interwar years leading up to the creation of the State of Israel in 1948. The museum is quite centrally located and is well worth a visit. The museum is run by the Ministry of Defence, so bring your passport.
Patrik H — Google review
The museum is simple and relatively small yet informative, being creatively decorated in some areas as if you were actually at the historic site. It includes audiovisual information and even a small theater. Not all of the signs and material are translated to english, so you may miss some particular events. Some areas included buttons for the english version of short informative movies but, at the time of my visit, some were not working. You may ask for a self guide audio player that somehow helps which is included in the entrance fee. A somewhat worthwhile place if you have time to spare or are waiting for someone as it only takes around 30 minutes to see everything.

For those seeking a sprinkle of enchantment in their travels, the Uri Geller Museum is an absolute must-visit. Nestled in a charming stone building by Jaffa port, this museum showcases the fascinating world of Israeli illusionist Uri Geller, renowned for his extraordinary spoon-bending abilities. Opened to the public in 2021, it offers private tours led by Geller himself—an experience that adds a personal touch to your visit.
My wife and I were at the museum as a part of an organized group. The museum is in an ancient building (owned by Uri) with its surprises. Uri Geller guides the tour for about one and a half hours. He explains many exciting things passionately and gives an excellent performance. In the end, he, of course, performed his famous spoon-bending/breaking show. Uri said that the money from the tour is being donated to a children's hospital in Israel. At the exit, you can put a 10NIS coin for a bent spoon signed by Uri - money also goes to the hospital. Overall it was a great and exciting tour, yet, we were not allowed to stay after so that we could see and read about additional exhibits (there are tons of stuff there!).

Unfortunately we didn't have opportunity to see this museum inside. It was closed when we visited old Jaffa. There is this spoon sculpture outside and its description next to it. Charles Clore Park is a sprawling park located by a rocky beach in Tel Aviv, offering wide boulevards and vast grassy areas. It is renowned for its stunning sunset views over the Mediterranean Sea. The park is also known for hosting events such as parades and performances, making it a lively and vibrant spot. Visitors can enjoy the green lawns alongside clear views of the sea, with opportunities for activities like jogging, surfing, or simply relaxing by the beach.
Very nice area at the beach of Tel Aviv. Many Joggers, Surfers and relaxed people. I enjoyed it especially in the morning but of course you‘ll get outstanding sunset views in the evening. Great view on old Jaffa as well.
Stevo T — Google review
Charles Clore Park in Tel Aviv is one of the most enjoyable and relaxing places in the city. The park is spacious, filled with wide open lawns of green grass that make it perfect for picnics, gatherings with friends, or just lying down and enjoying the breeze. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, and you never feel crowded because there is plenty of space for everyone. One of the highlights is the amazing sea view. Sitting on the grass while looking at the Mediterranean horizon, especially at sunset, is simply breathtaking. The combination of open space, greenery, and ocean views creates a very unique and peaceful experience right in the middle of the city. There is also a nice café and bar inside the park, which makes it easy to grab a drink or a light bite without leaving the area. The service is friendly and adds a pleasant touch to the park experience. Parking is another big advantage here. There is usually plenty of it, and the cost is relatively low compared to other central Tel Aviv spots, which makes visiting the park much more convenient. Overall, Charles Clore Park is a must-visit. Whether you want to relax, enjoy the view, or meet with friends, it is one of the best spots in Tel Aviv to do so.

I love the park. It offers plenty of seating space, on the grass, wonderful seaside view, bicycle route throughout and a snack shop on the gas station, nearby. On Saturdays it fills up with families, couples and friends, picking, chilling or playing some backgammon :-) Here and there you'd find people practicing yoga, or just stretching or reading a book. There's a small area with exercising equipment, adjacent to the park.

Amazing park with vast open space and uninterrupted views over the beach and ocean beyond. Pretty difficult to find shade because there are not many trees or other structures to give shelter, but I think it’s best to enjoy the nice weather when you are there! Really well located for the city centre and beach areas, and so much space for activity sports, sunbathing, relaxing or having a picnic. A great spot in Tel Aviv!
Derek C — Google review
It’s a very nice park, very close to the sea and just adjacent to the beach promenade. During the Muslim holiday of Eid Al-Fitr, it is very crowded with celebrating families who barbecue. Usually towards the end of the day it gets pretty dirty. Other than that it’s pretty nice.

We are so happy that we did this tour as part of our short trip to Tel Aviv. Yasmin was a phenomenal tour guide. She had all ages engaged and it felt like she individualized the tour to our interests and questions. She was in contact with us leading up to the tour and even called the day before to make sure we knew where to meet and to expect traffic and leave extra time. She had great inner knowledge of the local graffiti culture and the artists. We truly enjoyed seeing the different ways people express their creativity and voice. You will never walk by graffiti again and view it the same way after this tour. And after the amazing tour we got a chance to try our own hand at graffiti art ! Yasmin was so encouraging and we ended up with some truly creative and unique pieces. Don’t forget to open your eyes and look up!

We had the absolute best day with Eden on our graffiti tour and workshop. This was not only cool and fun but a great way to learn the history and influence of art on Tel Aviv. The addition of the workshop where we got to make something and bring it home made the experience even better. We are global street art chasers and making our own - especially how it incorporates recycling art into art - and bringing it home from such a special, meaningful trip is the best souvenir. Eden went above and beyond times ten to make sure we all had fun, saw all the hidden gems on the tour, tasted some history, and made amazing pieces. We are so blessed to have met her and recommend this experience to anyone interested in the street art scene around the world. This is a perfect family activity! It would also be a really fun date or the perfect destination for a moms day/night out.

The graffiti tour with Yasmin was amazing! Not only did we get to see and walk through different graffiti spots, but we also learned how they’re made, the meaning behind them, and the purpose they serve. Our kids had a great time, and the hands-on workshop at the end was a fantastic experience. If you’re looking for a tour in Spanish, we highly recommend asking for Yasmin—she made the whole experience super fun and meaningful.

The place is sitting in a more or less quiet street right off of Kaplan, it's a good place to sit inside or out. In my opinion, the food could stand to cost less, but they have good business deals if you're getting lunch. Let me get this clear first: this is not (as far as I know) a family hostel. It is cheap, mass and temporary housing. It's location is great, plenty of food, stores and museums. Beach is about a mile away so a good walk. The place is clean and looks nice and the staff are nice. There are plenty of activities inside as well.

A very nice museum. Gave a good background about Jabotinsky and his work, as well as telling the story of what had happened afterwards. The exhibits were very informative, and some were interactive too, which was a nice addition. The movies that were shown were very good, and interesting, not too long and not too short. Would recommend a visit.

The story of Etzel, aka the Irgun, is one of the more intriguing and moving chapters of the founding of Israel. If you go there as a tourist, as I did, you ought to stop here and educate yourself about some of the sacrifices that were made to make it possible for European Jews to finally have a homeland.

The curators/docents were friendly and helpful. It gave a basic overview of jabotinsky. And it gave an unadorned version of irgun's version of history ... Whether or not you approve of their actions. I wish I had spent more time there.

Lots of information displayed in static glass cases. One movie and one multi sensory show. Some displays with buttons to animate the lights and sounds, but they don't always work. But what I really didn't care for was the emphasis on guns and killing. It is a museum about a violent group in a violent time and a violent environment.

The Museum of Beit HaPisga in Jaffa is a unique and unexpected find, showcasing the mosaic craftsmanship of Yossi Logassi. The museum features hundreds of mosaics depicting Israeli and international figures, from politicians to poets, created with incredible attention to detail. While some may find it a bit kitschy, the museum offers a glimpse into the life story of Yossi Logassi and his dedication to creating these stunning mosaics.
Not too many people know about this musuem/house. For 50 Nis per person (minimum 2 people) Yaffa will tell you the story of her late husband's mosaic work. Hundreds of mosaics of living and historic. The place is interesting, to say the least. The creator was really into the mosaics, and made it with real craftsmanship (although lacking creativity sometimes). It was an unexpected find, more suitable to be a local attraction in some remote town in the USA, a bit kitschy but sincere. There were two of us and we were charged 50 shekels each without prior warning which is pricey to my mind. Don’t forget to arrange the visit in advance with the place, as there are no walk-in tours.
