The view is worth capturing😍 Even if you're not a nature loving person, you'll love to experience the beauty of sunset through the bridge. You can visit here with friends and your partner. Basically a good place for couples to hang out and had an experience of the beauty of nature in the ghats of Hooghly river. I visited here off season during the months of winter and was a little disturbed with the non-cleanliness of the river. I suggest to opt for a better maintainance and cleanliness options. Overall this is a must go place if you're looking for a suitable place to hang out after your college exams or after your office work during weekends.

The ghat is truly beautiful, with stunning views of the Second Hooghly Bridge as the backdrop. You can also take a boat ride here to soak in the charm of the river and the surroundings. The best time to visit is during sunrise or sunset, when the view becomes absolutely magical.

I went to Prinsep Ghat in Oct 2023 and honestly, it’s one of those places that just feels good to be in. The monument itself is beautiful, classic white pillars, clean space, and a calm vibe. But the real highlight was hanging out by the river as the sun went down. The lights on Vidyasagar Setu came on slowly, and the whole area started glowing. It’s quiet but not empty, people walking, couples chatting, kids playing, and the occasional street food vendor with chai and jhalmuri. I grabbed a cup and just sat there watching the water. Simple, peaceful. Took a photo in front of the monument and another of the bridge lit up at night. Both turned out great, no filter needed. If you’re in Kolkata and want a break from the noise, this is the spot. Go in the evening, bring a friend or just go solo. You’ll leave feeling lighter.
