Nestled in the vibrant Park Street area of Kolkata, Hakuna Matata Restaurant is a delightful vegetarian eatery that brings together an eclectic mix of Indian and Continental cuisines. With its charming exposed-brick interior adorned with quirky murals, this restaurant exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu features a variety of fusion dishes, including tantalizing Mexican options like classic Fried Rice and Hakuna Quesadillas, perfect for adventurous food lovers.
Have crossed Hakuna Matata several times before, and now I wonder why I hadn't been there earlier! Located in Park Street, very close to the metro station, this beautiful restaurant gives you sense of joy in every aspect. The decor is unique and eye-catching! The wish tree concept in not new but I was seeing it for the first time and couldn't stop myself getting clicked in-front of it. We were greeted very warmly once we entered and the staffs made sure we were comfortable. About the food that is served, I would say the dishes were one of the best delicious foods that I have tasted in a long time. Also every single item was presented in an awesome way. People who love to see food as much as they love to eat, this place is sure going to give you immense happiness. The cost is totally justified, not on the high side at all (taking into consideration of the quality of the dishes and the presentation). We ordered Cheese Burst Croquette, Grilled Veggie Lasagna, Guava Mary, Spicy Twist and Mocha Mousse (all items suggested by the waiter (and I want to go and hug him for his suggestions)). Although I am no food critic but being a big time foodie I found there was nothing wrong in the dishes and the drinks (Guava Mary and Spicy Twist) were something out of the world. At last they gave us some pan chocolates as a nice gesture for free! Yaay to that!! I highly recommend a visit to this place and satisfy your taste buds!

Veg Restaurants with good no of options they offer Ambience is really good you will definitely like it. It's perfect for taking your date there or you can go there to hangout with friends. Staff behaviour is is also very polite and gentle. You will love to interact with them. They provide a very good service. I felt the items are bit over priced. They should make the price range a bit reasonable. Food quality is damn good. You will love it. Specially the garnish is eye catching. Overall it is a good place to go and enjoy your time with yourself, friend or family

This is one of the best options for vegetarians. Awesome place to hang out with friends and family. In starters, we had Cheese burst croquette which was soo cheesy and tasty as well. In the main course we had grill veggie lasagne is an absolute must try!. If you love chocolate then double chocolate pudding pie is for you. I would definitely recommend this amazing place to all.

Located just opposite Park Hotel in the heart of Park Street , Hakuna Matata which means "No worries " actually serves amazing vegetarian delicacies,so you dont have to worry once you come here. If you are looking for Global cuisine, then you are definitely at the right place. WHAT I ORDERED : MOCKTAILS : 1.CHERRY TWIST : Served in cycle themed table stand, this drink was quite refreshing for a start ,Do try . 2. ELDER FLOWER TWIST : A tinge of ginger , makes this mocktail another class drink from this place . 3. TIBETIAN THUKPA SOUP : Served in a Coconut , this soup will definitely soothe you . They also give Laccha paratha which serves as an additional blend. 4.MANCHURIAN VADA PAO : I hope you have eaten vada pao ,but manchurian vada pao is something completely new. Do try . 5.RETRIED BEANS TAQUITOES : Another amazing dish from this place . 6.PINDI CHHOLE TACOS : If you already love tacos , then this is completely new version of tacos .It was so good ,I ordered another . 7.LEBANESE ROLL : One of the best if you are of thinking of starters from this place. Do order. 8.ASIAN PLATTER 9. DESI TIFFIN : Served in a old schooled style metal tiffin box , its contains a wide variety of items ,and it is quite filling. The gazar ka halua is an added bonus in the box 10. CHICKPEA MASALA ENCHILADA 11. SMOKEY APPLE PIE : Was too amazing , the crispy crust on the outside and the apple inside , was too good. A must try dessert 12. NOLEN GUR CHEESECAKE : When bengali sweets meet american cuisine, a product like nolen gur cheesecake comes out and trust me it will melt in your mouth in a jiffy. Do order. Do try. Thank me later . The staff in the place was very courteous, food was served in time ,and the ambience was totally very awesome. Must visit

It is a perfect place for veg lovers as they serve a wide range of delicious food items. Located in Park Street, it's a great place to visit with family or friends. Order ➡️ - Steamed Dumpling - soft and filled with veggies, served with spices sauce - Cheese burst croquettes - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, bursting with cheese and flavors - Double chocolate pudding pie - Smooth, soft and the texture that absolutely melts in the mouth, rich in chocolate and the star of the show! "Hakuna Matata" is a Swahili language phrase from Central East Africa, roughly translated, it means 'No Worries'.. Although not many knows this but, "Hakuna Matata" originally means 'No Trouble', while "Hakuna Wasiwasi" means 'No Worries'.. This 'Happy' place is located at Park Street, opposite to the Park Hotel..You'll love the decoration and ambience here, guaranteed! This place really has the power to make you feel happy and lively.. Did you know? The colour yellow is the happiest of all other colours. Yellow mainly stands for joy, freshness, happiness, positivity, clarity, energy, optimism, enlightenment, honour, loyalty.. You'll understand why I mentioned the colour 'yellow', once you visit this place ❤️ The staff here are always ready to serve you whenever you need with a comforting smile on their faces..This is the perfect place for friends or family hangouts.. Before I forget, I should mention that this is a Veg Restaurant, Jain menu is also available here.. Coming to the food we ordered; DRINKS: • Cherry Twist Loved this sweet, refreshing, cool drink..It's a real treat for the eyes as well (pics given below). Recommended! 🔥 MUNCHIES: • Cheese Burst Croquettes This is served with Jalapeno and Coriander Pesto..Amazing taste, cheesy as well as a lil tangy.. NIBBLES: • Baked Mushroom This is Polenta stuffed Mushroom with Balsamic Tomato..I have always loved mushrooms..They are juicy, flavourful and healthy..Try out this unique Italian dish from this happy place! Strongly Recommended! 🔥 • Steamed Dumplings Served with Asian Spiced Sauce, this is a dish from the Chef's global cuisine.. Mild flavour, very soft and healthy.. BIG BITES: • Thai Spicy Coconut Spaghetti Pasta This pasta was created through the fusion of Italian and Thai flavour.. Although I did not really find it spicy, but then again Thai cuisine, I believe, is never that spicy! And it's good that way 😋 You'll get the coconut flavour as soon as you take a spoonful.. Highly recommended 🔥 DESSERT: • Dark Chocolate Explosion I believe this is a more 'Visual' dessert than a real one.. You'll know what I mean once you order this! Before the explosion, the staff or the server will first decorate the sheets of paper with chocolate sauce, Strawberry syrup, gems, choco chips, dates, nuts, pomegranates, etc..Once it's done they'll explode the big ball of dark chocolate containing 'surprise' ingredients inside.. A visually enticing dessert! Also do try out their Nolen Gur er Cheesecake! 🔥 Highly recommended!

Hakuna matata, which means 'no worries' simply worths its name! I know that it really doesn't need any introduction though, those of you who are still don't know much about this place, for all of you, Let me introduce... 🔸️A veg restaurant in the heart of park street; HAKUNA MATATA. Located just opposite to The Park hotel. 🔸️The bright yellow lights, the stick it wishing tree, the miniature cycle, Wall paintings with messages included, hanging sculptures; every little thing is a mood-enhancer there. In one line, 'Positive vibes all around.' All of these things will really make you leave all your worries/tension outside, and this is the place is all about. 🔸️Now ,lets talk about the food. We had- 1.Leaf and flower twist -220 2.Spanakopita Tarts- 240 3.Pizza Puteneoca- 390 4.Nolen Gur Cheese Cake -210 Each item is a definitely MUST HAVE. ✌🏻 🔸️HIGHLIGHTS- ✔It's a vegetarian global cuisine restaurant. ✔Amazing interior. ✔Courteous Staffs. ✔Good Service. ✔Quality and Quantity- Worth every penny. 🔸️Well, Being a hardcore non veg bong by heat, I really don't like to have veg much. But yes, am a person who loves to Eat Anything If It's Tasty! 🤩 And yes, If you are a person of the same mentality, then go and have their innovative fusion delicacies atleast once! I am sure you're gonna love the place. Again a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED place. Thank You my lovely readers. 🙏😊

So, Finally Visited this Vegetarian extravaganza in Parkstreet after 2 yrs... And am not surprised that the they went from being Great to Fantastic. There's no doubt in how well maintained and decorated they keep the restaurant interiors and decors and the Service provided by the staff is swift but clean. For food, You cannot ask for anything better.... Cause maybe they are the one who set the standards... Everything you try from croque to pizza and Shakes to Cappuccino, They make it a surety that you get the best in both quantity as well quality. We tried: ✓Soup:- Tibetan Thupka soup in Tender coconut shell ✓Shakes and Drinks:- Leaf and Flower Twist Nutella Brownie Shake Cappuccino Espresso ✓Starters:- Cheese Burst Croquette Jackfruit Galawati Activated Charcoal Paneer Mushroom Galawati Mousse Come ✓Mains:- Mexican Pizza White Sauce Pasta ✓Dessert:- Nolen Gurr Cheesecake Millionaire's Choco Pudding Pie A highly recommended place. A prime point in Parkstreet to enjoy some authentic vegetarian delights.

Nestled on the bustling Camac Street, Jalapenos is a charming eatery that pays homage to the beloved chili of Mexico. This cozy spot specializes in an array of mouthwatering Mexican dishes, including Baked Tortillas, Crepes Mexicana, Chimichangas, and Enchiladas. A highlight here is their namesake jalapenos—often found pickled and diced atop nachos or grilled whole as a flavorful accompaniment to street tacos.
Me and family are regular here since they have opened up. Food taste is consistent. They have renovated & interiors done is pretty. Entirely Veg Menu. Ambiance & Service:: The restaurant offers a cozy and casual atmosphere, perfect for relaxed meals with friends or family. Service is efficient and friendly, adding to the pleasant dining experience. Can be little slow only if crowded. Food:: Starters: - Bruschetta, Garlic Bread, Supreme Nachos were yum- must have. - Cheese balls were okish, can be avoided. Soups: -Minestrone soup was hearty with flavor. Main Course: - Tex-Mex rice & Creamy rösti were a standout with bold flavors. - Pad Thai noodles was more like khowsuey or thai red curry with rice noodles. Taste was nice but this is not actual flavour of Phad Thai. Can be avoided. Drinks & Desserts: - KitKat shake was a treat. I wanted a takeaway, & they provided with disposables. Overall:: Jalapenos serves a diverse menu with a focus on flavor and quality. It’s a great spot for those who enjoy Tex-Mex & Italian cuisines. Definitely worth visiting for a hearty meal and cozy ambiance!

A good restaurant serving conti food. It's a vegetarian place, so it's a great place to go for those who don't like visiting places where non veg is also served. The garlic bread was too good, cheesy and delicious. The mixed sauce pasta was delicious as well. The ginger basil mojito was refreshing.

Garlic bread is out of the world. Generally the food is quite tasty. Highly recommend this place.

This place is my go-to spot for dining out with friends! The food has been consistently delicious for the past 10 years, and I'm particularly obsessed with their cheese fondue. They also offer an amazing variety of vegetarian dishes that are full of flavor. The only thing to note is that they don't have on-site restrooms, but you can conveniently use the toilets at the adjacent cafe. Overall, the great food and variety make it a top recommendation for me!

It was good and every food item was oozing with flavours. Its worth it but could be less expensive.

Ordered Pizza and pasta. Both were not good. The pizza base was ready made and paying 550/- was not worth paying for that. Coming to pasta i ordered Something else they gave something else to me. And coming to the taste of pasta it was not even average. A lot of improvement is needed. My total bill was 1228/- absolute waste of my money.

Jalapenos, Kolkata – A Classic Dining Experience Jalapenos is one of Kolkata’s oldest restaurants, offering a mix of authentic flavors and quality food. During my visit, I tried the soup and cheese balls, both of which had rich taste, great texture, and a genuine quality that reflects their culinary expertise. Ambiance & Space The restaurant has a warm, inviting atmosphere, but limited seating means you might have to wait during rush hours or weekends. Privacy is minimal, making conversations slightly less personal in a packed setting. Facilities & Accessibility No washrooms, which might be inconvenient for those dining with family or staying longer. Parking space is available, but subject to availability—plan ahead if you’re driving. Pricing & Experience While the pricing is slightly on the expensive side, the quality of food makes it worth the visit. If you’re looking for a classic dining spot in the heart of the city, Jalapenos is a must-visit, offering more than 10 years of culinary tradition.

Excellent food, if I may say so. We ordered (TL;DR): 1. Mexican Rice 2. Fajitas 3. Nachos 4. Garlic Bread 5. Baked Potato 6. Avocado Toast And in dessert we ordered a brownie. 1. Mexican Rice was good. It came with rice, vegetables and a sauce. Sauce didn’t detract, but added towards the overall flavor. A solid 4/5! 2. Fajitas. The actually fajita was of good quality. The filling, which had tofu, corn and other select veggies was a tad bit salty. Nonetheless, not bad! 3.5/5 3. The Nachos were made in restaurant and were high quality and amazing. Nachos were crunchy and a good selection of sauces and cheeses. 5/5 4. Amazing garlic bread. Creamy and filling sauce lathered on top of high quality bread. A classic! 5/5 5. Baked Potato. A tad bit salty. 3/5 6. Avocado. Yet the only disappointment if you could call it so. The way the avocado has been grinded had left no room for the creamy, uneven texture of avocado we all love. However, previous instances in which we ate this was great. 2.5/5 Brownie was good, but nothing out of the ordinary. 3.5/5 Overall I would say the food was 3.7/5, rounded up to a 4. In terms of the kitchen, hygiene might have been a bit of a issue as chefs were without gloves. Everything else, including the atmosphere, was good! Atmosphere would be a 3/5, if you would count the hygiene. Lovely service. 5/5

Apanjan is a Bengali restaurant located in Kalighat, offering a basic setting with a street view. Despite slightly higher prices, it's renowned for its historically famous fish fry, which has gained cult status in Kolkata and is considered one of the best in the city. The menu features classic Bengali dishes like luchi with alur dom and sinful snacks such as devilled eggs and mutton cutlets.
Tucked away in the bustling heart of South Kolkata, this iconic fish fry shop has been serving up crispy, golden bites of joy for decades – and it still holds its charm. A must-visit for any street food lover or anyone wanting to taste the real Kolkata.

There's no place to sit nothing. It's just a kerbside shop with barely any frontage. Given the rates of the items were quite high no doubt. We ordered Diamond Fish fry priced at Rs.260 and Bhetki Samosa priced at Rs. 80
Gaurav B — Google review
A spot well hidden in the alley of south kolkata, but not a hidden gem at all. Apanjan, known for their fish fry and other fry items, has been serving Kolkata Bengalis for decades and their legacy still continues. Visited this fry corner and tried their bestseller item large fish fry, accompanied with Fish Worly and chicken fry. The fish fry doesn't need any explanation (taste wise). They use vetki fish fillet, fresh and juicy, bursts a bomb of fishy flavour and freshness, highlighted with mustard sauce and freshly cut Onions. Extremely delicious and flavourful item. The chicken fry was also very good in taste, the entire fry was made with a chicken piece, but to my disappointment, it came with a large piece of bone in it. As for the fish Worly, it was much more similar to a batter fry, very oily and crunchy, the amount of oil somehow extinguishes the craving. Overall experience was pretty good, will definitely visit again to try their other hot selling items like fish singara, fish wanton, fish kachoris, etc. Only one drawback that I felt was they have only Cash payment, no UPI or online payment option is available here. So in case you plan to taste multiple items, do carry cash 😜.
Akash S — Google review
I ordered from Apanjan in Kolkata with high expectations, especially because it’s known for its fish fry. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The fish fry I received was far from what one would expect—too oily, with the crust soggy instead of crisp, and the fish inside didn’t taste fresh. For a place that prides itself on this signature dish, it really missed the mark. Adding to that, some of the other items we ordered felt mismatched and poorly put together, as if the flavors and combinations weren’t balanced. Instead of comfort and authenticity, the food felt rushed and inconsistent. Ordered Two Fish Fry and a Fish Roll Received one Fish Fry
KAUSTAV M — Google review
One of the most popular spots in Kolkata for fish fry. The Bhetki fry here is delicious - a thick, flaky piece of fish with a crispy coating that lives up to its reputation. Prices are on the higher side, and there is no seating available, so it’s more of a quick stop place than a dine in experience. Still, worth trying if you are a fish fry lover.
Tanmay S — Google review
Best bhetki fish fry available in Kolkata, but I personally liked their Chicken mughlai 😋 They have a wide range of varieties in their menu, the fish fry had a sweetish hint, of flavour which was unique 💯 No seating or dining facilities are available and a minimum wait of 5-10 mins is expected for sure !
Vijay V — Google review
This is the best place for fish based snacks like fish fry, fish roll, fish pakora, fish kochuri etc in south Calcutta. Pure vetki fish is used and quality and quantity is absolutely fantastic. I had fish roll, egg devil and fish moghlai parota and all are delicious.

The worst experience i have ever had on my first visit (and ofcourse its last too). First of all the owners' behaviour is really unprofessional and rude. We paid to QR code via HDFC Bank account UPI system, after paying them the amount was deducted from my account, but his soundbox is not giving any voice confirmation, then we showed him our account statement where its clearly mentioning paid to 'Apanjan' and to their Kotak bank account, he is blaming us by saying that we change the setting so that money can be return back to the source account, i mean how could he can give this kind of false allegations against someone? He is not having the registered mobile where he can check, but can give blame to the customers. Kusum Rolls is a popular eatery in Kolkata known for its delicious kathi rolls. The menu features a variety of options, but the Double Egg Kathi Roll and Double Chicken Kathi Roll are highly recommended. Located at 21 Park St, Park Street Area, it's a great spot to satisfy your hunger after a night out with friends.
I recently ordered Egg Fried Rice and Chilli Chicken from this restaurant, and I must say, it was an amazing experience! The food was freshly prepared, served hot, and packed with flavors. The Egg Fried Rice was perfectly cooked with the right balance of seasoning, while the Chilli Chicken had just the right amount of spice and crispiness. Moreover, the delivery service was impressive—quick and efficient, ensuring that the food reached me hot and fresh. Overall, a great experience, and I’ll definitely be ordering again. Highly recommended!

I had ordered 4 egg chicken rolls from Behala Chowrasta outlet today (27th Jan ) and all 4 rolls are burnt badly , the taste was worse actually smell of burnt rolls and chicken was not fresh at all .. This outlet is simply disgusting , they just don’t value customers .. When I complained they are clueless and seems not to bother ..Pls DONOT BUY from them ..

Tonight I ordered two egg chicken rolls and one double egg double mutton roll from this place. My previous experience was far better than today. Note: When you order or take delivery by yourself then the size and proportion of stuffing is huge but when you buy it from delivery agencies the size and stuffing is compromised. The chicken in egg chicken roll was missing salt and tasted blunt and it was very average in taste. The double egg double mutton was good but for Rs. 250 the size and quantity of stuffing was less. Overall this time it was not good but previous experience was very good.

Food and location is average. It's in a lane beneath Jadu Kadai. Parking is on the streets adjacent to Chowrasta to beware of KP. Service is good compared to Parkstreet. Food quality has lots of room for improvement. Overall Behala has better roll options.

Very bad experience at your behala chowrasta branch. Gone 1st time but the attitude of your staff is too much. I ask him for panner roll but he says in attitude "15min time lagega". Taking time is good but the way he asked is not good.

Mughlai restaurant
Awadhi restaurant
Chinese restaurant
India Restaurant is a vibrant Mughlai eatery located on Karl Marx Sarani Road in Khidirpur, renowned for its delectable kebabs and biryanis. This culinary gem offers a unique take on Kolkata biryani, celebrated for its distinctive flavors that set it apart from the rest. Among their standout dishes is the Daryabadi biryani, which features a hint of sweetness and includes aloo bukhara—an acquired taste that many have come to love.
Recently we went to India Restaurant and tried a couple of their specialties. 1. Chicken Afghani (Half) 🍗 : ₹310/- (2pcs) This dish came with chicken marinated in cashew nuts, cream, and fresh herbs, slow-cooked to give it a rich, and mildly spiced flavour. The taste was truly enjoyable creamy, aromatic, and full of flavour. However, the only drawback was the cut of chicken used. The two pieces served were mostly bony, which took away from the overall experience. With better meatier portions, it would have been perfect. 2. Special Mutton Biryani 🍖🍚 :₹490/- The highlight of the meal! The Special Mutton Biryani came with two large, juicy pieces of mutton, one boiled egg, and the signature Kolkata biryani potato. The rice was long-grained, fluffy, and aromatic with the fragrance of saffron and subtle spices. The mutton pieces were tender and succulent, absorbing the flavours beautifully. Every bite was truly finger-licking good and reflected the restaurant’s legacy in biryani-making. ✅ Overall Experience: India Restaurant lived up to its reputation, especially with the biryani, which was the showstopper. The Chicken Afghani had great flavours but could be improved with better cuts of chicken.

experience at India restaurant left me impressed with its flavorful dishes and inviting ambiance. Upon entering restaurant, I was greeted by a warm and inviting ambiance. The restaurant's interior is tastefully decorated with traditional elements, creating a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The soft lighting and attentive service added to the overall charm. India restaurant specializes in authentic Mughlai cuisine, and the menu boasts an impressive selection of flavorful dishes. From succulent kebabs and aromatic biryanis to rich curries and decadent desserts, each item on the menu promises a tantalizing culinary experience. During my visit, I had the pleasure of sampling some ofsignature dishes. The chicken reshmi kebab was melt-in-your-mouth tender, infused with subtle spices and grilled to perfection. The mutton biryani was fragrant and flavorful, with tender pieces of meat and fragrant rice. Considering the quality and portion sizes of the dishes,The prices are reasonable, especially given the authentic flavors and generous servings. Whether you're a fan of Mughlai cuisine or simply looking to explore new flavors, India restaurant is a must-visit destination in Kolkata.

Lack of consistency in case of mutton quality they mix both tender and hard pieces in biriyani and gravy items so it's kinda hit or miss which one you are getting. Overall very good food Kacchi biriyani and Mutton Dardara kebab must try.

I visited India Restaurant in Khidirpur, Kolkata, and had a fantastic dining experience! The restaurant offers a great variety of Bengali dishes that are both flavorful and satisfying. The food was rich in taste, especially the fish curry and mutton biryani-absolutely delicious! The place was clean, the staff was courteous, and the service was quick. It’s a perfect spot if you’re looking to enjoy authentic Bengali food in a cozy setting. I’d definitely love to come back again!

Chili's Grill & Bar is a vibrant international casual dining chain that brings the flavors of Tex-Mex cuisine to life in a relaxed and lively atmosphere. With its roots in Texas, this restaurant offers an authentic American dining experience characterized by generous portions and mouthwatering dishes. The interior buzzes with energy, featuring loud music and colorful wall graffiti, all while providing a glimpse of the bustling Park Circus area outside.
Went at the Acropolis mall's outlet and it was a 5/5 experience including food, service and ambience. I've visited twice or thrice and each time the experience was consistent. We had : 1. The Ultimate Bacon Burger with chicken patty (6/5) - the best burger I've ever had, period. It was the juiciest patty with fresh veggies and it had everything you can look for in a burger. 2. Enchiladas (5/5) - it had 2 enchiladas served with rice and beans, add a little Tabasco and it's the tastiest dish. It's filling for 2 people. 3. Mozzarella Sticks (2/5) - too rich and filling even for 2 people. There were 3 pieces and tbh it was quite bland. 4. Molten Chocolate Cake (5/5) - again very rich and filling but totally worth it. Overall each and every dish's quantity is perfect for the price you pay, it's enough to fill you. Service is very quick.
Doyelshree B — Google review
It was probably mid-2014 when I visited Chili's for the first time. They had just opened their first outlet at Quest Mall near Park Circus. To be honest, it was one of the poorest dining experiences for our entire group. None of us could decide on the menu properly—we were completely clueless! Ever since then, I had strongly refused to visit Chili's again. However, after 11 long years, I don’t know whether it’s our taste buds that have evolved or they’ve made some major changes to their menu, but I visited twice this year, and I must admit—the experience turned 180°! This time, we visited on a Tuesday late evening, and it wasn’t too busy. We were welcomed at our table by "Kanai," our server. Here’s what we ordered: 1. **Crispy Chicken with Texas Sauce** Comes in 6 large pieces, enough for 3 people with moderate appetites as a starter. **Price:** ₹595 2. **Grilled Chicken Burger with Bacon** The burger can be customized—egg can be added as well. It’s served with French fries. **Price:** ₹595 3. **Red Pepper Chicken** A grilled chicken breast topped with cheese and red pepper cream sauce. There was a buy-1-get-1 (BOGO) offer, so we paired this with the burger. **Price:** ₹595 4. **Teacher's Highland Cream** This also had a BOGO offer, so we ordered 2 x 60ml. **Price:** ₹370 5. **Brownie Sundae** We didn’t actually order this, but due to a mistake in serving the burger, we informed "Uttam," who not only replaced it immediately with a fresh burger (and added mashed potato this time), but also offered this dessert complimentary! **Price:** ₹370 We were so full by the end that we even packed the burger with the mashed potato. We were simply overwhelmed by the top-notch hospitality and service provided by Uttam and Kanai! **Minor Note:** The toilet had a foul smell, and the washbasin splashed water. I’m sure this will be addressed soon. Overall, it was an incredible dining experience with superb food and impeccable service. I will definitely revisit and strongly recommend it! --- This version keeps your thoughts intact while improving readability and polish. What do you think?

I recently visited Chili’s at Acropolis Mall with a group of friends after pre-booking our table through Zomato. The experience was smooth from the start — our table was ready upon arrival, and the staff was courteous and attentive throughout our meal. We ordered quite a variety of dishes to share, and each one brought something unique to the table: 1. Crispy Bites Chicken - Rs. 430 2. Southwest Chicken Pizza - Rs. 610 3. Chipotle Quesadillas - Rs. 590 4. Pasta Parmesan Cruste - Rs. 595 5. Chicken Fajita with egg - Rs. 610+80 6. Margherita Flatbread - Rs. 490 7. Boneless Wings 16 - Rs. 560 Overall, Chili’s gave us a great dining experience. The food was flavorful, the portions were generous, and the ambience was lively — perfect for a casual hangout with friends.

We had to wait 15 minutes in a queue even though we had a reservation. The only good thing about the food was that it looked colourful. The food as well as the condiments were extremely bland. The pork in the burger was flavorful but that's about it. The fajita was a failure, it definitely didn't sizzle and lacked flavour overall. We expected a lot from the reviews but were disappointed.
Suru X — Google review
We had a lively Sunday lunch experience, with the place buzzing with energy! The food was mostly great, with all dishes impressing us except for the smoked quesadilla. However, the ordering process was seamless, and our server was prompt and professional.
Shirsha R — Google review
We went for dinner on Sunday and it was packed. The place has chaos in a good way. The IPL was screening, so boys have that covered. Coming back to food, we liked everything we ordered except for the pasta, it was overloaded with so much of cream. The ordering experience was fantastic and the server was quick and professional. The management was top notch.
Rahul G — Google review
While the service and ambience were commendable, nothing can compensate for the fact that my friend and I became ill after eating the food. The Bhetki fish was utterly spoiled and foul-smelling, an alarming sign of serious food safety issues. We only took small bites, yet it was enough to make us sick. The non-vegetarian triple dipper and the prawn appetizer were decent, and the mocktails were okay, but the overall experience felt grossly overrated and overpriced. Getting sick from a main course makes any other positive irrelevant. This single-star rating is for the Bhetki fish, which ruined the entire meal and our health.

Allen Kitchen, situated in Jatindra Mohan Avenue, is a renowned 132-year-old restaurant that offers budget-friendly and nostalgic dining experiences. Originally owned by a Scotsman named Mr. Allen, the eatery was taken over by Jiban Krishna Saha in 1958 and has since become a beloved landmark for its delectable finger foods.
Allen Kitchen offers a great experience with clean and hygienic surroundings. The food was impressive — we tried the Prawn Batter Fry and Fish Batter Fry, both fried in ghee, which added a rich flavor. Portions were generous, and the taste was excellent. The Fish Roll stood out — a spiced filling wrapped in a fish fillet, coated in breadcrumbs, and deep-fried. It was crispy, unique, and delicious. We also tried the Fish Fry, which was decent. Overall, a very satisfying experience, though we haven’t explored the rest of the menu yet.

Stepping into Allen Kitchen is like taking a delicious journey back in time. This 140-year-old eatery has been serving up authentic Bengali flavors since 1884, and my recent visit was nothing short of delightful. I tried the Fish Egg Devil and their signature Prawn Batter Fry. The Fish Egg Devil was a unique experience—crispy on the outside with a rich, flavorful filling that showcased the freshness of the ingredients. The Prawn Batter Fry was equally impressive, featuring succulent prawns encased in a perfectly seasoned, golden batter. Both dishes were fried in ghee, adding a depth of flavor that's hard to find elsewhere. The ambiance of Allen Kitchen is modest, reflecting its rich history and focus on food over frills. The staff were courteous and efficient, making the dining experience pleasant. It's evident that the Saha family has maintained the quality and authenticity that has made this place a beloved institution. For anyone looking to experience traditional Bengali cuisine in a historic setting, Allen Kitchen is a must-visit. I highly recommend it to both locals and visitors seeking an authentic taste of Kolkata's culinary heritage.

Just 5 mins walking distance from Sovabazar metro station, this is a century old iconic eatery. I saw some reels and went to give it a try. Ambience is nice, Tiny place with old simple furniture, but beat & clean, well lit with a touch of bonediana. The ceiling is enogh to give away its age. Coming to the food, we had fish cutlet and mutton kabirazi. Taste was very good, but it is a pricier than you'd expect for these dishes in calcutta. Overall nice experince for a quick bite. No parking is available, though u can do it at your own risk.

One cannot guess how old this restaurant is , embarking upon its history this food shop sits just within the walking distance from Shovabazar metro. I tried their fish butter fry and mutton steak and to my surprise the steak came steaming within some tangy broth. The food was good enough and I would recommend everyone to try out this place.

Allen’s Kitchen is a well-known place for classic Kolkata-style food. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The atmosphere is simple yet decent, giving an old-school charm that matches its legacy. The staff is polite, and the service is quite good — they manage the crowd efficiently even during busy hours. The food quality is nice and consistent — we enjoyed the taste and freshness. However, the pricing feels a bit on the higher side for some dishes, though most items are reasonably priced. Overall, a good experience with decent food, atmosphere, and service. Worth visiting if you want to enjoy authentic Kolkata flavors in a nostalgic setting. 🍴✨

May be good but not satisfactory or expected. Target was to have fish kabiraji, but service person suggested to have batter fry fish, very thin layer of fish, you can see the pics almost no show kind layer of maida, nope not enjoyed, next item mutton stake, a mutton cutlet type with very less presence of minced mutton was swiming in sauce. Ghee fried, yes flavour is there but it's not Tiwari ka laddu where ghee plays a big role. Bloggers may enjoy free food but i am not satisfied. 🥱

The food is disappointing. Recipes need to be worked on. Proportions and flavours were out of whack. Everything was over seasoned. The desserts are a complete mess. Chitto Babur Dokan is a popular roadside stall in the Central Avenue Region of Central Kolkata, known for its variety of street foods. The stall has been selling their unique Chittoda for over 50 years, making it a must-try. Visitors can enjoy quality food with a side of fun and comedy. The place comes alive in the afternoon, offering well-cooked fish dishes that are highly recommended, especially the Fish Fry with mustard sauce.
Chitto Babur Dokan is arguably the most famous eatery at Dacres Lane/James Hickey Sarani. It’s widely popular for its chicken stew and bread which is kind of a staple food for most of the customers. It’s crowded most of the times, but the service is real quick . I tried the chicken stew with bread, Fish Diamond fry and the egg devil. All the items were quite good. The stew lacked a bit flavour in my opinion but the chicken was quite tender. The diamond fry was crispy and the egg devil tasted satisfactory. But if you are someone who is always keen on maintaining hygiene, you might get disappointed a bit. It’s an old street side shop, and let’s just say they have never prioritised cleanliness as it should be. And if you are someone like me who can let these factors go to waste experience an old eatery which carries a strong legacy for many years, then Chitto Babur Dokan is a must visit for you !

This is a lively and well-organized fast food outlet, very much in line with what you'd expect from a good fast food experience. The service was efficient and friendly, with staff members being attentive and helpful throughout. What truly stood out was the atmosphere—it was vibrant and energetic, creating a welcoming vibe. The presence of multiple food stalls added to the charm, offering a diverse range of choices under one roof. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it for a casual and fun meal out.

Only a few items were available when we arrived here in the late evening. We ordered Fish Fry among them. It was served piping hot, with few kasundi and salad. As soon as the Fish Fry was cut with the spoon, a very nice smell came out, which is not so common in cases of many food joints. The fish was well marinated, making the fry very enjoyable in terms of its flavour and taste. The outer coating was thick. The quality and quantity of the fish they provided at that low rate (that is ₹80 only) were amazing and commendable. The service was fast.

Chitto Babur Dukan is one of those iconic little gems in Kolkata that never fails to capture the heart of food lovers with its old-world charm and mouthwatering delicacies. Known for serving traditional snacks that carry a touch of nostalgia, this place is always buzzing with people who come to relish its famous fish preparations. In my experience, I tried the Bhetki Diamond Fry and the Bhetki Fish Roll, and both turned out to be absolutely delicious. The Diamond Fry had a thick fillet of juicy, fresh bhetki fish with a crispy, golden crust that made every bite delightful. The Fish Roll was equally impressive, stuffed generously with a rich, flavorful filling and wrapped in a hot, crisp layer that tasted desh and comforting. Both dishes were served fresh and piping hot, making the experience truly memorable.

I tried their famous chicken stew 🍗 fresh bread, 🍞 and a cup of steaming tea, ☕️ and the experience was pure comfort on a plate. 🍽️ Traditional street eatery than a modern café,the flavors, nostalgia, and authenticity more than make up for it. For anyone looking to experience a piece of Kolkata’s culinary heritage, chicken stew, bread, and tea are a must Try.

The Chicken Stew here is not just food, it’s a warm memory in a bowl. Light yet deeply flavorful, the clear broth is infused with subtle spices that highlight — rather than overpower — the natural sweetness of the vegetables and the tenderness of the chicken. Carrots, potatoes, papaya, and perfectly cooked pieces of chicken float in harmony, making each spoonful both wholesome and satisfying.

They make everything perfect like a mother's touch It’s usually crowded, but that just shows how loved it is. If you're in North Kolkata and haven’t eaten here yet, you’re seriously missing out. A must-visit for every foodie, especially if you want a true taste of old-school Bengali snacks nd foods.

Decent quality of food according to its price range. We ordered Chicken Chowmin and Fish Batter Fry, both were tasty. Overall in terms of food it's a thumbs up 👍🏻 However, it is worth noting that some items on the menu may seem somewhat overpriced. The staffs here seemed well trained and maintained a professional level. In terms of decoration and atmosphere, it's very good. It's a well decorated thematic place. Overall it's also a double thumbs up from me 👍🏻👍🏻 Overall I'm happy to give them 4 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

It was our second time visit but the service was not good. We understand it was crowded and people were waiting outside but the person who asked us to leave was very rude. Food was OK OK. Do not try their mutton egg devil. It was sweet.

Located close to the street and the seating in the front side is congested and a bit 🥵 . There is another room inside but it seems like it's reserved for regular customers etc. Tried a baby fish 🐠 and a 🍗 chicken cutlet. The service was good and both the items were bought fresh and 🔥 hot and tasted good.

The atmosphere here is overhyped. People come here for the authentic old cafe experience but you won't get it here. On top of that the food is too overpriced.
Harsh S — Google review
This place is ok. Food is good, but kind of felt like overrated. Infact, a bit costly too. Quality of food was good though. Since, it's a 100 years old brand ( according to to cafe), the atmosphere is not that posh. But again not so bad either. By d way, it's not only cafe, one can get regular food here too. Must try: Fish fry, Diamond fish fry Don't try: Fish kabiraji ( too much oily)

Takeout Restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Kolkata, Kalika Mukhorochok is a beloved establishment that has been delighting locals with its mouthwatering Telebhaja for nearly half a century. This iconic shop specializes in an array of deep-fried snacks, from crispy brinjal fries to succulent fried fish and delectable egg and mutton chops.
Timing around 3:30p.m. - 8p.m. They made really appreciative chop. You get a variety of fries (চপ). Absolutely fresh and good ingredients are used. Snacks for everyone. You must try Mocha Chop, Dimer Chop and Vegetable Cutlet. And all others are also good. 💯
Animesh D — Google review
Snacks served here are typical Bengali staff like fish chop, mutton chop, veg chop, mocha chop, fish fry, fish finger and many others. These are known as telebhaja in bangla literally meaning fried in oil. It is a heritage kind of telebhaja shop, opened in 1965, which makes it a 57 year old place that continues to satisfy the huge population of the city. The shop opens at 3/3:30 in the afternoon and generally winds up by 8 since they exhaust all the stock for the evening by that time. On a rough estimate they would be churning out more than 1000 fries every evening. I had mocha chop, dimer devil, fish chop, veg chop today, after about 45 years. I loved them all though I missed the alu chop and beguni.
Bhaskar B — Google review
Visited this old and renowned fry shop to try some of their popular items – Chingri Chop, Egg Chop, Fish Finger, and Mutton Chop. The Egg Chop and Fish Finger were quite good in taste, but the Chingri Chop was just average. The Mutton Chop, despite its reputation, was overrated and didn’t live up to the hype. Unfortunately, all the items were served cold, which affected the overall experience. Not the best visit, but worth a try for the Egg Chop and Fish Finger.
Souvik D — Google review
As a regular visitor to College Street, I’ve walked past this shop countless times, always noticing the buzz around it but never stopping by, despite being well aware of its popularity. Yesterday, I finally gave in to curiosity and decided to try their much-talked-about Chop. And honestly, it is worth all the hype. They offer quite a variety of chops, we went for the Hans-er Dim-er Devil and Dim-er Chop. Both were spot on—the coating was crisp, the filling flavourful, and everything tasted freshly made. They served it with a splash of kasundi and a bit of salad. While the kasundi is a classic pairing, I personally felt it didn’t quite complement the Dim-er Chop. So, if you're looking for a quick snack that’s pocket-friendly and comes with a dash of nostalgia and heritage, this place is definitely worth a stop. Bonus tip: Watch out for the birds perched on the wires overhead! If you're not careful, you might end up with an unwanted condiment on your plate. 😄

The menu at Kalika is focused on chops, and they do them exceptionally well. The most popular ones are the vegetable cutlets, fish cutlets, and the mochar chop. All of the chops are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and are cooked to perfection.

Animesh H — Google review
Very popular place for telebhaja, aka deep fried goodness. There is something for veggie and meat lovers alike. For those who are particular about things, it must be noted that everything is fried in the same pan. I tried the mochar chop. Good stuff! Not too oily, flavourful, and not too heavy. Comes with kasundi. Loved the combination. Good food, reasonable prices.

Nestled off Girish Park, Niranjan Agar is a charming eatery that has been delighting locals since its establishment in 1922 by Niranjan Hazra. This small yet vibrant spot is renowned for its delectable fritters and creamy milky tea, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts. The standout dish here is the jumbo vegetable chop, which perfectly complements their famous mutton cutlet and flavorful fish fry.
A 100 year old cabin café near Girish Park that truly stands out. I have never had vegetable chop and dimer devil this good anywhere in India. The vegetable chop is made with real vegetables, coconut, and kishmish unlike most places that only use beetroot and potato. The dimer devil is unique too, as it’s prepared with duck eggs, and the portion size is huge. On top of that, the staff are warm and the service is excellent.
Tanmay S — Google review
It’s an old restaurant from British era, established on 1922. We have tried 4 items there. Egg devil was best! Next I would recommend mutton korma, special fish cutlet and mutton cutlet. The prices are very reasonable. Their service is very fast and not to forget about well behaved staffs. A good thing to mention, they accept UPI. payment. It is right outside of Girish park metro station gate 2.
Sarmistha D — Google review
If you're a fan of authentic, no-frills dining experiences, this place is a hidden gem! The Egg Devil was a standout—crispy, perfectly spiced, and an absolute delight for your taste buds. The rest of the menu is equally impressive, offering great flavors at pocket-friendly prices. The ambiance instantly transports you to an old-school Calcutta cabin-style eatery. Think vintage vibes: classic wooden tables and chairs, a cozy yet slightly cramped setup, and food served on timeless white porcelain plates. To top it all, the staff was warm and welcoming, adding to the charm of the experience. This is the kind of place that keeps the legacy of Kolkata’s culinary culture alive. Highly recommend it for anyone who loves nostalgia served with good food!
Arnab D — Google review
This century old spot captures the old-world charm of Calcutta’s nostalgic cabins—cozy little spaces where you can savor chops, cutlets, and other colonial-era delights. Open only in the evenings, it’s a snug place with just 5-6 tables. When we visited, it was nearly full, but luckily, we snagged the last available table. We started with their tea, which was delightful—classic milk tea, rich and comforting. However, the charm was dampened by the use of tiny paper cups instead of the expected white cups and saucers. For snacks, we ordered an Egg Devil, Fish Fry, Mutton Chop, and a plate of bread toast. Surprisingly, they didn’t offer omelets or other egg dishes, which are typically staples in such cabins. The Fish Fry was the star of the show. It had a generous portion of fish inside with no unnecessary fillers—just the perfect seasoning with a hint of spice. It came with a side of salad and a light, watered-down kashundi (Bengali mustard) that lacked its usual punch. The Egg Devil, resembling a British Scotch egg, was generously sized and quite filling. It had a crunchy breadcrumb coating with a flavorful filling of spiced minced mutton (keema) and potato, with the boiled egg split vertically. The Mutton Chop ( croquette) followed a similar recipe, with the same keema filling. While the mince was well-cooked, it leaned a bit too sweet for my taste. Everything was fresh and served piping hot, which added to the experience. Unfortunately, we couldn’t try the Mutton Kofta and other specialties this time, but we’re definitely returning for more! Heads up: This place is all about nostalgia, so don’t expect modern amenities like free Wi-Fi or even a washroom.

This is one of the iconic restaurants of Kolkata. Food lovers can easily identify the spot after leaving Girish Park Metro Station by Gate 2. Niranjan Agar is continuing esteemed legacy since 1922. They offer crispy Egg Devil, delicious cutlery items, although Fish Fry isn't too good. Old cabin style food junction is waiting for your visit. Staffs will overwhelme the visitor for their prompt service and decent behavior. If you love to visit hidden gem of Kolkata's culinary heritage, you should taste the delight items served with the nostalgic setup of wooden chairs, tables. We went to the cafe very late almost after 8:30 , so most of the dishes were finished, we had mutton kofta ( kind of mutton chop), which was really good 😊 The cabin opens at 4 pm in the evening and closes around 9.

While casually walking through the bustling streets of North Kolkata today, we stumbled upon a huge crowd gathered outside a small street-side eatery. Curious, we stepped closer and found Bholanath Cabin, an old and trusted spot that has clearly stood the test of time. People were enjoying fried items with steaming cups of tea in hand ☕🍟, and the lively energy around the place instantly pulled us in. We tried their Bhetki Fish Fry, and it turned out to be a delightful surprise 🐟🔥. Crispy golden on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, it was served fresh and hot. At ₹70 per piece, it is pure value for money considering both quality and taste. This is the kind of old-school Kolkata food experience that never disappoints. The owners were extremely polite and welcoming 🙏. They even insisted we pay only after eating, which reflects the trust and warmth this place has built with its customers over decades. That gesture, along with the food, really adds to the charm. Bholanath Cabin is clearly not just a restaurant, but a slice of Kolkata’s culinary heritage 🏙️🍴. We’re already planning to go back and try more items from their menu. If you’re in North Kolkata and want an authentic, pocket-friendly food experience, this place is a must-visit.

The staff was very courteous and helpful in recommending the best flavors. Our order included Egg Moglai, Baby Fish Fry (Kolkata Bhetki) and Egg Mutton Devil. Every item we ordered had authentic Bengali flavors and cooked to perfection. The Egg Mutton Devil is a must try. Nestled in the vibrant College Street, Basanta Cabin is a charming eatery that has been delighting patrons since its inception in 1890. The establishment was founded by Sudhir Kumar Ray for his brother Basanta Kumar Ray and continues to be run by his family today, preserving its rich legacy.
Basanta Cabin is a hidden gem in Kolkata, offering a nostalgic journey back in time. The old-school ambiance, vintage wooden cabins, and affordable prices make it a must-visit for anyone looking to experience classic Bengali flavors. Their Fish Kabiraji and Fowl Cutlet are absolutely delicious, crispy on the outside and flavorful inside. The Mughlai Paratha with Aloo Dum is another standout dish. Service is quick, and the staff is courteous, maintaining the place's old-world charm. If you love heritage eateries and authentic Bengali snacks, Basanta Cabin is a must-visit! Pranjal D — Google review
If walls could talk, Basanta Cabin in College Street would probably recite Tagore’s poems, freedom movement whispers, and countless adda sessions fueled by cutlets and cha. This century-old eatery, established in 1918, is one of Kolkata’s last-standing “Cabin” restaurants, where time moves slower, and the atmosphere is always marinated in nostalgia. Once a favorite haunt of revolutionaries, intellectuals, and students, Basanta Cabin still serves up piping hot Mughlai Parathas, Dim-er Devil, and Fish Fry, though, truth be told, the taste isn’t what it used to be. Some dishes are merely average — perhaps outshined by the legacy they carry. But hey, what it lacks in gourmet brilliance, it makes up for in charm! What’s Special? 1. A Walk Through History: This place has been around since pre-Independence India, serving revolutionaries alongside hungry students. 2. Mughlai Paratha Legend: Their flaky, egg-filled paratha is still a Kolkata icon — greasy, indulgent, and unapologetically old-school. 3. Affordable Nostalgia: Despite its historic status, it remains easy on the wallet, unlike many modern cafés. Fun Facts: 1. Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and other freedom fighters were rumored to have discussed politics over tea here. 2. One of the last surviving Cabin eateries in Kolkata, where privacy meant wooden partitions and whisper-soft conversations. 3. The interiors remain frozen in time, with wooden benches and faded posters adding to its retro charm. Verdict: If you’re chasing authentic nostalgia with a side of history, Basanta Cabin is your place. Just manage your expectations on the taste, and let the old-world charm do the rest. Because in Kolkata, sometimes the vibe is the real flavor!

A very old cabin in Kolkata. Though there is no glammer, still it carries heritage and fame. Their cutlets are very good. Overall I liked the food.

Nestled in the heart of North Kolkata, Basanta Cabin is a century-old place that has withstood the test of time, both as a restaurant and as a witness to the city's evolving history. Established in the early 1900s, the place is more than just a culinary destination—it's a living slice of Kolkata’s cultural heritage. As you step inside, you're immediately transported back in time, with its vintage décor and a certain old-world charm that is hard to replicate. I had the pleasure of trying their iconic fish Kabiraji. While the portion of vetki fish was disappointingly small, the outer layer of crispy batter was perfectly done—light, crunchy, and not overly greasy. Whether you're a history buff or a lover of Kolkata's classic street food culture, this is a place you should experience at least once. (It Cost me 170)

Basanta Cabin is one of those places that keeps things simple but does it well. We dropped by with friends & family for a casual meal, and honestly, the food didn’t disappoint! 🍽️ Nothing over-the-top fancy, but the quality and taste were solid—just good, straightforward food. 👍 The atmosphere, though, could use a bit of an upgrade. It’s got that old-school vibe, which some might find nostalgic, but a little refresh wouldn’t hurt. 🏚️ That said, if you're looking for a no-fuss place to grab a decent meal without breaking the bank, it’s a pretty good spot. Perfect for casual visits when you just want to sit, eat, and chill without any frills. 🍛✨

Worth the short trek. With your maps app, it’s really easy though - all on what feel like alleys. Got the classics, chili pork and noodles. The noodles have a mild flavor, which some people called bland. I wouldn’t though it benefits from black pepper and hot sauce - which are on your table. It’s my first time trying this kind of Kolkata Chinese but I hope it’s not my last.

Probably the best authentic Chinese restaurant in Kolkata. It's really hard to find but if you can find the way to reach the location then you are the lucky one ... Operation time till 8.30 pm . Behavior is really great 👍 and the food is awesome

Incredible food and even more warm hospitality.... Felt like having food at home... So if ur craving a low and slow meal with friends n family or by yourself, don't think twice.. Just drop in... Tried the Wanton Chow, Chilli Garlic Chow, Chilli Chicken, Spring Chicken, Roast Chilli Pork.. Basically the Full House.. A Loved each and every item. Kit is an amazing Human being and he will really help you choose the best Menu. The chilli pork was lean and they give llots pieces of chicken in the spring and chilli chicken and don't forget to munch on the chillies.. They taste Damn Delectable...And yes, now they are totally accessible... Right opposite Chinese Kali Temple so no more House Hunting.. Head there straight away and have a meal to cherish for a long long time... Definitely Definitely Recommended 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

If you're on a culinary adventure in Kolkata, make sure to stop by Zaika, the birthplace of the iconic Kathi Roll. This charming eatery is renowned for its original take on this beloved fast food, featuring thin roti wrapped around mouthwatering fillings that have captured hearts across India. While many variations exist today, Zaika remains committed to serving the authentic flavors that started it all.
It's amazing place and very much lower price for every food items...

The service is fast. It takes almost 10 mins from order to delivery. I took mixed fried rice and chilly chicken. The fried rice has the right amount of prawns and chicken. Tastes good. The food is good and worth the prices .

Does not allow online even when option is available, they have recently put some notice mentioning no online upi available,I saw it for the first time today requesting to manage for one day, from next day I would give cash as I was short of cash. The people at the shop are not ready to hear and are adamant about paying cash, considering the fact that I am a regular customer there. I gave it 1 star as there is no option to give zero stars. Very unfriendly and unprofessional staff.
Sambit M — Google review
This place is located at Pal bazar, Jadavpur. It is a quite small place with moderate seating arrangement and the best part is that this place is much pocket friendly. They offer huge quantity which is more than enough to share between two persons. Quantity of the food items are also quite impressive. In frame - Crispy Chicken - Rs 180 Chicken Drumsticks - Rs 200 Lachha Paratha - Rs 20/piece Kadhai Chicken - Rs 160

Fast food restaurant
When it comes to indulging in Mexican cuisine, Taco Bell is a name that stands out. Recently making its debut in Kolkata, this beloved fast-food chain has quickly become a go-to spot for those craving delicious offerings like Loaded Cheesy Chalupas and Big Bell Boxes. Located on the fourth floor of South City Mall, Taco Bell boasts an extensive menu featuring tacos, burritos, nachos, and quesadillas—all at affordable prices!
Best experience I loved tacos and Burrito it's so yummy. Must visit for taco lovers. Tacos are recommended for everyone who will visit for the first time. The quantity in the Big Bell Box was sufficient for one person. Very affordable price. The location is in South City Mall top floor food Court.
Subhadeep C — Google review
This is a decent counter in South City Mall Food Court serving Mexican food. Portion sizes are too less . Food is okay. Better Mexican rice bowls and tacos available in other cafes but in South City Mall this is the only place to get good Mexican food. Service staff is cooperative and efficient.
Amrita M — Google review
Had one item.. Forgot the name even.. But it was fully loaded and very tasty. Service was fast too.
Piali S — Google review
I don't know why, but day by day the quality of food from Taco Bell is deteriorating on a massive level. I just want to make sure, it is not any store location fault but in all Taco Bells out there. They're charging way to much for their Supreme Bowl (it doesn't really help if you're discounting it on some days). The amount of chicken you get here is abysmal at best.
Maxpower O — Google review
Taco 🌮 a Mexican food. Tried Big Bell Box (it's a Hearty Meal) with free refill for Pepsi, 7up etc and experience was ok. Starter/Side items were good enough. Don't feel shy, carry in empty glass and ask for your free refill😜!
Dinabandhu B — Google review
Taco is really tasty. However french fries was soggy. I paid through QR,my payment went through but not reflecting at their end. They took screenshot of the payment, probably called owner of the store, made me wait for some time before delivering the order. Pls check if QR payment is working at their payment before selecting this option to avoid waiting for extra time.

For me this is the first Taco Bell i've just tired! I love mexican food and Taco Bell is a blessing for me! Such wide range of food to choose from in such an affordable rate! Amazing place! Food served is superb. Would provide stiff competition to the likes of Subway and KFC. Already a major crowd puller since day one.

Fast food restaurant
Nestled in the heart of South Kolkata, Fern Hotel & Restaurant offers a delightful escape into the world of traditional Bengali cuisine. This charming eatery, reminiscent of old-world cabin cafes, is known for its simple yet flavorful dishes that evoke nostalgia. While it may not boast air conditioning or Instagram-worthy views, what it lacks in luxury, it more than makes up for with its hearty meals and warm atmosphere. The menu features an array of rice meals and snacks that cater to every palate.
The food was very good. The staff was very sweet and friendly. The quantity of food is good.
BISWAJIT P — Google review
It's a small Cabin type restaurant on Fern Road, it's just beside the Khosla Electronics. This place has 5-6 tables I guess, 12-15 person at once can sit inside. Food here wasn't good at quality as per the price. I ordered a Chicken Mughlai Paratha, costed 120rs. & One cold drink costed 20rs., my total bill was of 140rs. Food tasted decent. Service was good & quick. I visited here on a Saturday, and usually this place is not so crowded. So, if you don't have much budget you can definitely visit this restaurant, but if you are too concerned about the quality then I would suggest you to find other places. It's a good place to visit Often. It's overall Recommended.(Honest Review)

My first time visit. Food was mind blowing. They have an extensive fish menu for the discerning Bengali clients. Just ask. The behavior of the staff and the proprietor was very courteous. Photos coming. We only availed the restaurant services. For lunch.
Sudipta B — Google review
Very simple , tasty & affordable Bengali style food available here. I had lunch here on several occasions in the last 15 years and the taste is the same. I recommend this place for having a quick simple lunch while on the go. Don't expect too much luxury or comfort . Paid 2 and 4 wheeler parking is available on the road in front. The place is a 2 min walk from Gariahat more.

Its a budget restaurant where you get snacks as well as meal. The restaurant looks very basic but food tastes good. We use to come very often with our mother when we were in school. We came to this restaurant to purely reminicence our memories. We had fish fry and mughlai paratha. Its pure nostalgia. We packed two fish fries as well to have at home. We felf contented at heart.

Why have they mentioned room . There is no room out here . It’s a place to have food . Tried Fish Chop which was good with flavour. Quality and quantity both were good . Tried Paratha which was lacha paratha with Chicken Kasha . Chicken Kasha was good with flavour and taste . Paratha was very good . Soft flaky and perfect taste . It’s an iconic Restaurant so please don’t look for AC and Instagramable view

Mughlai restaurant
Nestled in the heart of Kadamtala, Friends Cabin is a charming eatery that captures the essence of traditional cabin dining. Known for its inviting atmosphere and wooden furniture, this spot offers a delightful array of dishes ranging from crispy fried snacks to hearty curries and biriyani. The tiger prawns are a must-try, with their succulent meat perfectly complemented by a crunchy batter.
One of The Oldest Food Center in kadamtala Area. From the Morning Tea Breakfast to Lunch to Snacks and Fast Food every thing is available here. The food quality is Good. Taste is Excellent. Price are also reasonable. The special dish is Moghlai Paratha.
SOUMAYADEEP M — Google review
Food Was Average. We ordered for Kosha Mangsho and Moglai Paratha. Moglai was served with dry aloo ki sabji. Kosha Mangsho was So-So taste wise, but the Mutton was cooked properly and it was soft. The Staffs are Nice. The cabin is really neat and clean and gives a different unique vive. You can try food over there to get the old charm.

It is mostly probably the only cabin restaurant running in howrah. It serves variety of fried snacks, curries and biriyani. I tried mughlai paratha and fish finger. Both the items were lip smackingly good. The vibe is that of cabin food jointa with wooden chairs and table. All the food items are very reasonably priced.

Famous for moghlai parota and kosa mangso. But I personally don't like their receipies too much. Many other fast foods are available like chowmin, chilly chicken, plain parota, biriyani etc. Some snacks also available there like egg devil, fish fry, fish finger, butter fry etc. Sitting arrangement is not good and not suitable for family or couples. You may pack your food to home. They don't charge any extra fee for packing. You may taste their food occasionally. Food quality is average.

Today I brought plates 2 hakka chicken noodles and I asked them about the amount of the noddles and they said it is enough for 2 people for one plate of noddles but after i got the noddles it was not enough for 1 person and the noddles doesn't taste good nor it is fried enough. And also I ordered chilli fish as I saw good rates in Google but the fish was not fried enough and also it tasted horrible even they used too much of soy sauce and even the curry stinked . I had to throw the chilli fish fully totally waste of money
Rupasi R — Google review
It's a small restaurant having seating capacity of 16 people. But the ambience was good. AC was working properly. Had overall fine dining experience. Chilli fish was good in taste, mixed hakka noodles was also very tasty. Its a perfect budget friendly restaurant within Dum Dum Cantonment. But entrance is little narrow and have to be careful while climbing the staircase. Overall a very good deal..

Waste of money. They don't give fresh food. I will recommend to go to other places than of this. Neither the tawa roti is of good quality.
