The staff were so helpful in giving us ideas for what hikes to do. The boardwalk is so nice!! The kids had a great time! We loved seeing the birds and a lady came and spoke to the kids all about them and was so patient with their questions. We did not do the ropes course. It looked like it was well made and large, but couldn’t justify the really expensive price per person.

It is an offshoot of Fontanelle Forest, the trail system is not as long though. I really enjoyed it. It is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors, $3 for children (2-17), children under 2 is free. None of the trails are overly difficult but they're not all easy either so there are trails for everyone regardless of what kind of shape you're in. There are plenty of wildflowers, birds and various wildlife that you'll see on each visit. I've always loved hiking on vacation and finally started hiking locally this year, and Neale Woods is the place I've hiked most this year. It's remote, never crowded and the trails are up kept nicely. On my most recent visit, I noticed they cleared some of the previously downed trees and built some new steps on one of the trails that had deteriorated due to excessive runoff. Kudos to Fontanelle Forest for keeping this spot beautiful for us to enjoy!

Definitely try not to go when it’s super hot, you’ll be doing lots of walking to see everything. They have a train to ride, a sky lift and a track like ride through the park also.
