Omaha in 4 days

If you only have 4 days to spend in Omaha, we’ve narrowed down the top places you should check out to get the best experience of your time here.
From the 1890s through the mid-20th century, Omaha emerged as one of the world’s top livestock markets. The city derives its name from the Omaha Indian word meaning “upstream people.” Notable sites include the historic Old Market, the city’s arts and entertainment district; the Gene Leahy Mall, a long, landscaped park in downtown Omaha; the Heartland of America Fountain; and the nationally prominent Henry Doorly Zoo.
With favorites like Spencer's for Steaks and Chops, CHI Health Center, and Tiny House Bar, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. We even included some of our favorite food spots around the area, like Kathmandu Momo Station and 801 Chophouse at the Paxton so you can get the best taste of Omaha while you’re here. To see our full list of food recommendations, check out our best restaurants post. If you're traveling on a budget, you can check out our cheap eats post.

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is a true gem nestled in the heart of Nebraska, sprawling across 130 acres of beautifully designed habitats. This remarkable zoo features the largest indoor desert and rainforest in North America, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in diverse ecosystems filled with exotic wildlife.
This zoo is huge, but so worth going. Probably need 2 days to really go through the entire zoo. I would love to go again. My son loves Elephants and this was his first time seeing them, so precious. Great memories for him and his sister loves Giraffes. The African Safari area is massive. The animals have so much space to roam freely and they look like they are well taken care of! The Jungle area is so pretty inside. The Aquarium was amazing! Great place to hang out in on a hot day in August. The gorillas were a blast to see, their enclosure was amazing. Food in the safari area was expensive for what you get as is all the drinks/snacks you can buy there. I would definitely recommend this zoo and go early when they open. Definitely try not to go when it’s super hot, you’ll be doing lots of walking to see everything. They have a train to ride, a sky lift and a track like ride through the park also. It costs $1.25 per stop.

Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo is truly one of the best zoos I’ve ever visited! The aquarium was my absolute favorite — beautifully designed and so fun to explore. We also enjoyed the Skyfari ride, the train, and the carousel (we got the ticket with the ride pass, which was worth it). It’s also nice that you can bring your own iced coffee or drinks, though there are certain areas where food and beverages aren’t allowed. Watching the gorillas laze around and nap was hilarious, and the seal exhibit was another highlight — we could’ve stayed there for hours. The Zoo Passport was a fun little activity that added to the experience. The zoo itself is huge, so plan ahead and wear comfy shoes. There’s lots of parking and plenty of food options. Overall, such an amazing experience — definitely a 5/5!

I visited in October 2025, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The zoo grounds were beautifully maintained, with vibrant fall foliage that made just walking through the park a pleasure. Everything was spotless — it’s clear the staff takes great pride in the upkeep. The IMAX movies were a pleasant surprise — we saw features on oceans and elephants, and both were informative and visually stunning. Definitely worth the time! Among the highlights were the butterfly pavilion, which was peaceful and magical, and the aquarium, which was absolutely fantastic. Every animal we saw looked healthy and well cared for. The giraffe exhibit is open and scenic, and the elephant enclosure is especially impressive — massive, naturalistic, and clearly designed with the animals’ wellbeing in mind. It was great to see them playing and swimming freely. We also loved watching the sea otters, penguins, and big cats — all active and entertaining. For lunch, we stopped at the Aquarium Café, and the food was much better than I expected from a zoo café. The salad was crisp and fresh, and the chicken pasta was hot, flavorful, and satisfying. This was truly a day to remember. I highly recommend visiting — just be sure to plan for the whole day, because there’s so much to see and do. It’s one of the best zoos I’ve ever experienced.

I have been here a couple of times. Visiting this famous zoo is always a great experience. Here's my review: I went here on a Saturday, arrived around 11:00, and there was plenty of parking. I recommend getting tickets online since arriving at the entrance, there are long lines for getting tickets physically, but going into the zoo took less than 2 minutes. You can also bring some snacks and your water bottle so you don't have to buy the more expensive food or drinks. From there we just enjoyed the zoo and took a lot of pics. And just seeing these animals up close is just awesome. Hope some of you guys find this helpful see ya👋
Fernando R — Google review
Awesome Zoo! Great exhibits and variety of animals. Reasonable priced entry and they encourage bringing your own water bottle to refill. My only advise is get there early and do the desert done and aquarium as some of your first stops as they can get a little crowded
Ana B — Google review
I understand why this zoo is rated #1!my first impression is the rainforest with the monkeys. Man that was such a delight to see. I walked around so much my feet were on fire😊I took a little break by getting on the sky lift ($7 rt) and saw an over view of all the animals. There were so many highlights to this zoo I would highly recommend to everyone! Money well spent!!!
T D — Google review
Fantastic zoo! It was pricey for a zoo, bit it was 100% worth it! I grimaced as I paid the kiosk extra bucks for "all rides" without even knowing what they were. So it for me unlimited tram rides, unlimited locomotive rides, unlimited skyline rides, and I think the carousel too. All of the rides I went on were fantastic for a zoo! Really helped rest my feet so I could see more exhibits. I don't have a bad thing to say about any of the exhibits. Truly one of the nation's best zoos!
Lol P — Google review
Incredible zoo. This comes as no surprise, but it has all one would want and more, from my perspective. On the scorcher of a day we visited, I appreciated that they have misting stands in various locations around the zoo as well as signs that display the signs of heat exhaustion. We went throughout the outdoor portion for as much as we could handle in the heat and we loved all of the animals there were to see. Some old favorites like elephants and giraffes along with a few animals I was not previously familiar with. Loved the butterfly atrium and I'm always a fan of an aquarium. There seemed to be lots of places within the zoo to grab food and drinks as well. Also be sure to stop by their great gift shop. We had a blast!

Gardens
Lauritzen Gardens is a 100-acre botanical paradise that showcases an ever-changing array of plants and flowers throughout the year. The gardens feature various garden styles, including herb, rose, and peony gardens, as well as a Victorian garden and a dedicated children's green space. Visitors can also explore the Marjorie K. Daugherty Conservatory with its tropical palm trees and lush greenery.
An absolutely gorgeous place that is a must-see for anyone ages 0-99. I strongly recommend the tram tour as the facility is large and may be too much walking for some. Plus, you get information about the gardens and it's only 5$ for a 50 minute tour. The indoor facilities are clean and beautiful. Plenty of restrooms along the way. There is a super fun outdoor area for the children with a giant net, play houses and a water area. If you go during the winter, the lighted nights are beautiful. The entire indoor area is beautifully decorated with holiday activities for the entire family including letters to write to Santa and fire pits with an option to buy smore kits. You can easily spend the day there during the warmer months and a few hours during the lighted nights. Overall, a great experience and lasting memories.

For those who love being one with nature, this is the place for you! I wish I could have seen more flowers in bloom, but the scenery is worth its weight in silver alone. Most gardens I’ve seen are confined by the layout of the city surrounding it; that’s not the case here. Lauritzen Gardens sits on 100 acres! It’s a wonderful location for a romantic stroll, for children to release energy during a nature scavenger hunt, or for finding peace and solitude. I appreciate what this place offers and visit more cities that use this model when building their gardens.
Alexander V — Google review
A beautiful, charming, peaceful place. The vast gardens were SO beautiful, the pictures I got here were unbelievable. I’m so glad we stopped by here. We walked to all the gardens our feet allowed us to (be prepared for a lot of walking!), and then took the tram to see the rose garden and model train garden. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you Omaha for such a beautiful vacation 💚💛
Sarah P — Google review
This garden has lots to see. I was put off by the high entrance fee, but after the tour, it's justified. If you have limited time, take the ~50-min tram for a small fee. The tram also offers an overview/preview of the garden if you plan to walk the grounds. A visually appealing and hands-on children's garden. Exterior ticket purchasing kiosk at the entrance.

When I travel to a new state I tend to google fun places to visit. Lauritzen gardens popped up several times so I said why not😊My first impression was little children would really enjoy this place! It’s very child friendly. I asked a volunteer as an adult could I get on the rope trampoline. He said of course! He told me some history about the garden and talked about the different flowers. I traveled alone and I felt so comfortable being there. I thought the fun stopped at the tiny homes but there was so much to explore! They are still building on to the back so it’s a lot less gardens. When it’s complete I’m sure it will be beautiful.
T D — Google review
It was wonderful. Lots of walking, but worth it. Few areas under construction, but opening next year. Not crowded & got right in. Took lots of photos. My favorite places were the kids play area & the miniature railway. And just loved all the butterflie.

First time to visit in 15 years as a resident and I will say I'm kicking myself I waited this long. Gorgeous grounds that rival and botanical garden I've been to. Tour guides that led our school class on October 13th were phenomenally knowledgeable not just on the grounds but on the plants...

We are an elderly couple, visiting from Kansas City on a Friday afternoon on a gorgeous Aut day! Loved the gardens and the conservatory, very beautiful and kept up nicely. Will come back to see it in the Spring for sure!

Sandwich shop

Bar
Block 16 is a sandwich shop in Omaha that embraces a garden-to-table philosophy, offering casual lunches featuring gyros, burgers, and sides. The restaurant prides itself on serving farm-to-table street food using locally sourced ingredients and avoiding preservatives whenever possible. They also provide vegan-friendly options. Menu highlights include the Croque Garcon Burger, Duck Duck Goose Fries, and the Dragon Wrap. Additionally, Block 16 features a new daily special.
The food here is BOMB. I could tell I was in for a treat, when the line was out the door on a Thursday for lunch. The line moved pretty quickly and even though there were a lot of people, seats became available pretty quickly. The Duck Duck Goose Fries were out of this world and blew me away. This is hands down my favorite memory from Omaha and I tell all my friends to check this place out when they are in town. I loved it so much, I came back again to make sure it was the last thing I ate before heading home.

Delicious burgers, sandwiches, and fun fries!! You can really tell the effort put into fresh ingredients and finding a way to keep the daily specials interesting. Would definitely recommend the Block Burger for anyone looking for a good burger but there are plenty of great options if you’re looking for something new too.

The food I had here was orgasmic. Life changing. Loved it, and will be dreaming about it until I get the chance to come back again. Tried the Bacon & Brie a la Emily sandwich, and it was amazing. Also did an order of the fried mushroom fries... Definitely worth the stop.

Had the Pulled Pork Roll, Poutine Burrito, and an order of fries. All 3 were great. We arrived a bit before open on a Saturday and were the first group in line. We ordered, picked out a table, and an employee came over and offered to set our friends crutches against the wall. Will happily go again the next time we're in town!

Hard to find seating. Food is fresh. Sometimes takes a while, but my kids can sit through the wait. Parking is sometimes hard to find, depending on the day. Service could be a little friendlier. We have found they are when it’s less busy. We visit when we come to Omaha every other year or so. We usually try something different each time we go. And enjoy it.

I don’t give many 5 star reviews but this one is well earned. I had their prime rib special tonight. It was the best tasting and most tender prime rib I have had in a long time. The baked potato with lobster and shrimp was excellent and the grilled veggies were amazing. The aju was very good. I never made it to the salad. Perhaps tomorrow. Well done Block 16. Great friendly staff. Definately a hole in the wall just like I like my restaurants. I will be back and bring all my friends.

Absolutely delectable 10/10 for my meal it was the best roast beef type (oxtail) sandwich and that cheese pull was killer! (My whole reach!) My wife had the Sailor burger and she said it was a 6/10 it tasted good but was advertised to have beef tallow so it should have been a moist burger but she said it was a dry burger. Water was available to drink while waiting and the service was about as good as a burger joint can get. The poutine also had a very few cheese curds and so much gravy that the fries were swimming in it which is why I overall gave the meal between us two four stars.
Crum M — Google review
This was a unique find for my wife and I as we traveled through Omaha. We didn't want to eat at your everyday restaurant. So very glad we stopped in. The food is amazing. I had Omaha fries and the wife had duck duck fries. Her fries did indeed have duck. My fries had ground wagyu beef. They were both full of fantastic flavor. The service was great and so was the price. I can only imagine what the rest of their food might taste like. I highly recommend stopping in. You will not be disappointed!

Momo restaurant
Nepalese restaurant
Kathmandu Momo Station is a cozy eatery offering Nepalese street food dumplings in a brick-lined setting. Co-owned by Sagar Gurung and Aagya Subedi, the restaurant specializes in Nepalese dumplings and Burmese ramen, unique dishes not commonly found elsewhere in the city. The menu features three types of momos - pork, chicken, and vegetarian - served with a variety of mild to spicy sauces.
We had a wonderful dinner a few weeks ago. Everything was made expertly, you can tell that the chefs are passionate about what they do. Staff and service were exceptional. Drinks were well mixed. Would absolutely recommend for a fancier date night, or a casual spot. Perfect for both. Will visit again next time we are in Omaha.

Dumplings and beef hot dogs are delicious. After eating dumplings, we added an extra portion.

Didn't expect to find good Asian food in Omaha, particularly Nepalese! Stopped by for a weekday lunch and we were the only people in the restaurant. Our server was very kind and helpful, as neither of us are familiar with Nepalese cuisine. The lunch menu is quite limited - your food options are aloo chops, which are deep fried crispy potato patties and fried/steamed momos (Nepalese dumplings) in pork, chicken, or vegan. We ordered the aloo chops and steamd pork + chicken momos. Everything was delicious! I'd recommend getting all four sauces too - they really add to the momos. Pricing was very fair as well. Definitely worth a visit!

Chanda was our server this night she was nice and sweet she helped us understand the menu… since it’s a tiny bit small… but DAAAMN it’s astronomical every dish is made to perfection! Chef if you read this keep doing what you do I had a mouth-gasm 😂 Also we came at night and the have live music Tonight we had “Latino Night” @latino.son.night Their voices 💯 the vibe was amazing Worth coming and worth the price it’s an amazing experience Ps: don’t worry too much about the outside atmosphere… it’s worth coming in
Jay A — Google review
I visited Omaha for a family gathering, and we decided to eat out. I've been craving momo for a long time, and as a vegetarian, it's challenging to find good vegetarian options. Luckily, I discovered a hidden gem called Momo Station. I must say, the vegan momo was perfect. It was juicy and had a mild flavor on its own, but when paired with the slightly tangy and spicy chutney, it created a burst of flavors in my mouth. For my main course, I had tagliatelle with burrata cheese. I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised—the pasta was exquisite and has quickly become one of my favorites. I can't imagine how they manage to prepare other dishes with such perfection. Now, for the best part: the drinks. I ordered a Manhattan, and it was so good that I ended up having three glasses! If you want to know how great it is, you have to check out this place. My relatives, who are non-vegetarians, ordered fish and meat dishes and loved them. The service was exceptional. Although I can't remember my server's name, she went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We were also fortunate that the sous chef visited our table to explain the artistry behind the dishes. So, it's a resounding yes from me! If you're in Omaha, you must visit Momo Station, where the prices are very affordable compared to other restaurants. Here are some pictures that will surely entice you to check out “KATHMANDU MOMO STATION.”
Naresh L — Google review
Fantastic meal, we had lunch and were well taken care of by the owners and chef. We were explained the slight difference in Nepalese dumplings and what to expect and told the best sauce pairings based on our orders. Loved it!

I ate here last year during travel for a conference and have been dreaming of these momos ever since. We call them "a hug in a dumpling." Rocky and his staff are so kind and accommodating. They will be happy to explain the menu. Yes, the aloo chops are just as good as others say. And if you have a chance, finish your meal off with the chai panna cotta. I'll see you in my dreams, momos!

Fine dining restaurant
801 Chophouse at the Paxton is a premier steakhouse located in Omaha's Old Market, offering prime cuts of beef, fresh seafood, and an extensive wine selection. The restaurant provides an elegant and upscale dining atmosphere with romantic lighting, leather booths reminiscent of 1920s New York steakhouses, and impeccable service. Nestled inside The Paxton Hotel, the establishment exudes sophistication with its opulent decor and a colossal golden bull adorning the space.
We were quickly accommodated as we showed up 90 minutes early. We were a party of 6 and 2 of us got seated at a beautiful table. Our other 4 friends bailed after 15 minutes and after we got our drinks. The staff was so kind to move the 2 of us to a booth to free up the larger table on a busy night. We felt horrible for hogging up the table but staff was super kind. As for the service, our waitress was amazing!!! Very descriptive, patient, and full of knowledge and recommendations. Very helpful. We had the crab cakes which are a must. My friend and I shared the off menu wagyu tomahawk and it was DELICIOUS. Definitely come back and try other 801 Chophouses!

Came here for our anniversary. It was very good. Steak was incredibly tender, sides are large portions and enough to pass around, and appetizer was great! We had the scallops wrapped in bacon. Creme brûlée was an extra special treat as well. The location is downtown however they offer complimentary valet parking which was so convenient. Definitely give this place a look if you’re on the search for an elegant night out to celebrate.
Alexah L — Google review
My husband and I visited 801 Chophouse in Omaha for our anniversary after booking a month in advance. We expected a level of attentiveness similar to what we’ve experienced at comparable fine dining restaurants such as Joe’s Seafood (in Chicago), but unfortunately, the service and energy didn’t quite reach that standard. The greeter and service lacked warmth, my husband’s steak was overcooked, and no one asked if we were celebrating/reason for visit or offered dessert. Toward the end, our server apologized for being behind, which was considerate but also confirmed what we had felt all night, that our experience wasn’t a priority. We went on a Monday, so I understand they might not have been at their weekend peak, but the prices don’t change on a Monday, and neither should the level of care. For $400, I had hoped for more attentiveness and that thoughtful touch that makes a special occasion memorable.
Mia M — Google review
Love the atmosphere, joined late to the party and felt out of place. Service was subpar even though I did order an entree. Ribeye was cooked correctly but over salted. Steaks are a la carte and pricey. The crème brûlée was delicious. A friend ordered the prime rib and it was really good.
Kevin S — Google review
This is not for the faint of heart when it comes to prices, but you get what you pay for! The ambiance, the food, the choice of wines, all came together for an incredible dinner and birthday celebration. The food preparation was like nothing I've tasted before in portions that required take-home boxes. I would definitely go back!
Yogi Y — Google review
All perfect. Man I miss staff who care about their jobs. This team was fantastic. Gladly tipped well for great knowledge and service. When was the last time you went to a restaurant and the staff accentuated the positives of the establishment? This is one of those places. The steak was awesome. We did a dry and wet aged at our table. The bone marrow appetizer dish….we had our doubts but it was amazingly good. Dessert was just a good as everything else. I know this place has a couple locations in different cities but it has all the feel of a classic steak house albeit with modern surroundings. 5 stars all around.

Our dinner for 5 was outstanding! Despite an earlier post our waiter (joshua) recommended the hash browns abd they were incredible Sides were good for 2 but the amazing steak was all mine. Best place i've ever been in omaha

2025 update: back in Omaha for #2 son's grad trip, he also wanted to go to CWS! Of course, we have to come here for dinner. It was awesome AGAIN. Lobster bites appetizer was amazing. Thanks for the hospitality Dale! GREAT FOOD, HIGHLY RECOMMEND. 2022: We were in Omaha for the College World Series and some friends from there suggested 801 Chophouse for a nice dinner one night. Our trip was for my son's high school graduation. I asked what their specialty was and our server immediately replied the prime rib. Prime rib is one of my favorites, so I'm in, and was joined by my wife and son. It was excellent, one of the best I've ever had. Cesar salad and garlic mashed potatoes also awesome, but my son loved the mac & cheese (said it was the best he ever had). Took the leftovers back to the hotel for the next night! It's a hike from the stadium, but a nice stroll.

This cozy eatery offers a variety of classic Italian dishes made from authentic recipes and the freshest ingredients. I enjoyed this place while visiting Omaha. The service was very friendly, and the pizza had a great flavor, especially the tomato sauce. The seating area was nice, and the walls were decorated with great photos from past to present. Overall, a pleasant and tasty experience.

Hands down the best customer service!! My first time here and the lovely gentleman taking my order (possibly owner/manager) was absolutely amazing!!! Thanks so much for such great hospitality and delicious food 🫶🏽

The owner welcomes you write when you come in. Bread that is used as made from scratch with no preservatives. Felt like we were coming into an old mom and pop shop. When we found out that the owner works over 80 hours of a week, We were not surprised he’s just a good guy. He has his own garden that he grows produce and uses it in their restaurant. The pizza is really good and has wonderful flavor. You can tell everything’s made from scratch. Highly recommend you come and try it. It’s kinda of in an out of the way area location not near other restaurants or businesses.

Walked here from our hotel (1.3 miles) in downtown. Not too bad of a walk, just a lot of uphill. Not too busy when we came. A lot of people picking up orders. We were obviously not from the area. There were 2 gentlemen working the front. One of them seamed like an owner/manager. He gave us a quick rundown and made a legit suggestion on what size we should get for our party. Suggested the half sheet combination. We got half pepperoni and half Italian sausage and green pepper. The pizza took about 15 minutes to come out. He even threw in some cheesy garlic bread for the table! There was extra cheese on the top so we did not realize until we took a bite that the side we thought was sausage and pepper was supreme. We already took bites, so we let the staff know. They were nice about it. I preferred the pepperoni slices. Great taste. The underside could have been a bit more done, but the sauce was good, the cheese and pepperoni were great, and the overall flavor of the pepperoni was one of the better pizzas I have had. The supreme was too busy in my opinion. It had ground beef and that was almost too much in some bites as it took as lot of the bite but was not as well seasoned. The others I came with really liked that side of the pizza though. Will definitely be back if I am in the area! Worth the walk, just uber back. You will be too full to walk!

10/10. Real authentic flavors. The smell of the place is heavenly. They treat you like family the second you walk in. Prices incredibly fair. Bread was sensational. Deli meats to die for. The olives fresh and homestyle. Pizza hits differently. The tomato sauce is absolutely phenomenal. Highly recommend. The whole place is an experience. Easily one of the best spots in Omaha

This traveler from Iowa just looking for some great Italian food was VERY IMPRESSED with their food! Wonderful staff and delicious food! Went here on a whim just looking to get some grub and my expectations were BEYOND SURPASSED! Definitely something special here for anyone of any flavor!

I’ve been wanting to try Orsi’s for a bit. Had some friends in town, had just visited the Durham Museum so went to this place. A few notes…if you are imagining a cute ‘Little Italy” w several restaurants with a cute neighborhood w an Italian vibe…that place is long gone. Orsi’s itself, has a vine. Also, the goods it sells (bakery/pasta), don’t imagine an Italian Market, it’s very homey in a good way. The food itself was great. Tried a pizza w half pepperoni and half mushroom. They bake the cheese on top so some ingredients are difficult to see. It’s totally worth a visit, and writing this even at 7:45am has me wanting to try it again! Oh, their cheese bread comes w a side of sauce which is fantastic!

The pizza was amazing. The host was very kind and even gave us free garlic bread since it was our first time Lots of local historical photos about rh business and the local little Italy area Would definitely come again if in the neighborhood

Located at 1411 S 13th St, Omaha, NE 68105, Tiny House Bar exudes a retro vibe with its interior design featuring mural arts and thoughtful light fixtures. The bar offers a fantastic variety of cocktails served in retro glassware. The living room serves as the main bar area while other themed rooms provide unique spaces to enjoy your drink. Patrons praise the bartender's expertise in mixing drinks and providing attentive service. The bar also offers non-alcoholic cocktails for designated drivers.
As a previous resident of the 402 and someone who loves good drinks and good vibes Tiny House is the spot. I have lived in states from coast to coast and this spot has the best craft drinks by far. I since have left the area and miss not only the drinks but the diverse personalities that occupy this space and the area surrounding. If you enjoy a cozy and welcoming environment where you can indulge in a legit hand crafted drink, and a on point seasonal menu this is the spot. Huge shoutout to the bartenders and owners who pour their heart and souls into creating this space for everyone to enjoy. Can’t wait to come back for a visit and enjoy another Britney.

Super neat inside. Lots of different rooms and areas to take photos. "Snack" friendly but not a llace if you're super hungry. Didn't try any snacks. Cool place to meet up and have a drink before you head to a busier spot. About $15 average for a drink. Couldn't stay long because it was FREEZING inside, and the bugs were terrible outside. I kind of wish they had something to help with the bugs on their patio. Would have stayed longer if the inside/outside sitting areas were better. We will be back to dress up and take photos.

This place is groovy. The inside decor is very chill. It's called tiny house but there is a variety of seating inside from the den, to couches, chairs, and tables and even a booth and a lounge in the back. If the inside is too crowded they have seating outdoors as well from you to pick from. The music is cool with chill sounds so it adds to the laid back vibe. The bartenders did an amazing job making everyone's drinks and I saw people going back up to the bar to order other things to try. They host events here, and all the staff did a great job of hosting. The asthetic is perfect for the Little Bohemia location.

I went here on a date as it was recommended by a friend. I booked a reservation that cost $25, which I thought was weird, but I thought if the place was good; I would give it a shot. When we got to the bar and I gave the person at the door my name. They mentioned there was going to be a live DJ that night, and they thought about calling me to let me know, but didn't, as they didn't think I would mind. Long story short, my date and I could barely hear each other and it reminded me of a highschool party from 2010. We also got 2 drinks each and they were okay, but I don't think I'll be going back again.

We stayed in Omaha for a few nights, and I came here for to-go cocktails three nights in a row! Awesome, adventurous cocktails, and great staff. Super cool decor, as well. Highly recommend if you live in or are visiting Omaha and like higher-end drinks. Saint Dolly ftw, as well!

This is exactly what you want in a bar! Relaxed, eclectic atmosphere. Always good music, amazing drinks. Reminds of some beautiful places I visited in Amsterdam. They really brought 13th street to the next level. The staff is knowledgeable and energetic! This is a must visit place! All the cocktails are divine and creative! Spend some time in the private style rooms or just pick a comfy chair!

I only tried one drink, it wasn’t for me, very strong smokey flavor which I usually like but I couldn’t taste anything but that it was a tad overwhelming. But loved the vibe and the people would come back and give the drinks another chance. Very friendly and kind atmosphere!

Westroads Mall, located at the intersection of Dodge and 100th streets in Omaha, Nebraska, is a vibrant shopping complex with over 100 retailers, various dining choices, and an AMC movie theater. The indoor mall offers a wide range of amenities such as children's play area, family restrooms, nursing lounge, stroller rentals, wheelchair access, and free WiFi.
Nice clean mall centrally located. Has all your typical stores and some restaurants. From higher end to lower end stores, it has pretty much anything you would need. I was actually surprised to see there is still a JC Penny's here! If you don't want to shop, the mall is also a good place to walk, and you see quite a few people doing exactly just that.
C T — Google review
Not slot of people but not really a ghost town. Still have Jc Penny's and von mar. Like I said not a ghost town like so many other malls are now.
Gary W — Google review
All in all it was okay. I think the mall higher ups probably charge a bit too much for the stores (as there are many left empty and not nearly as many center isle stalls as there used to be..) I fear at this rate this mall will go the way of Oakview and the others.. and there was a support dog (not service dog) that relieved himself (#2) a few feet from the dining area.. it took a half an hour for someone to clean it up.

Pretty decent mall for Omaha. Stores have good workers.... I was born and raised in Omaha been going since back in the day. But you know what you would be a good addition to Westroads? Macy's, they have it in the bigger cities and it's a good store. A Harley Store (Harley Davidson) would be nice. I like getting boots and chains ⛓️ etc and a Fredrick's of Hollywood. It's a sexy lingerie store....a favorite of mine also. Those would be great at Westroads and all get good business.🇺🇲✨⛓️👍🏻... could use a Spirit Halloween too. Have to keep in touch with our ancestors who went on before us.🎃👻👍🏻

The staff was very kind but the security guard followed us around to every store. We are paying customers that paid over 100 dollars at the store and have never stolen. I’m not sure if it was because we’re gay or because my friend is Hispanic with tattoos, but we don’t appreciate being treated like criminals.

Has lots of different shops. Pretty clean. The food selection was OK. It looks like they even serve alcohol. That seems weird. Good place to walk around though. Did 1.8 miles inside on all the floors.

West Omaha, NE. This is a good mall for mall walking and people of all ages love it. It’s an indoor mall which is important in locales that tend to have severe weather. I’ve been to many malls and the stores here that stood out were the TikTok Trends store, Maurice’s, Attic Salt, Nelson’s Custom T-shirts, Cane’s Chicken and especially Von Maur which had the glamor of yesteryear’s department store with a pianist playing on a grand piano! They had an expansive shoe department, plus free gift wrap, where do they do that anymore?! We really enjoyed this mall.

We've enjoyed their great Mediterranean food in Wichita over the years. Thrilled to see them at Village Point. The Sharmbaa is very good wrap. My wife loves their hummus. Nice large seating area including some outdoor seating. Great service. My only disappointment is that it is rather loud when the dining area is mostly full. We'll be back!

I actually went to Cheddars at Village Point, first time at that location. I went for a friend's birthday dinner. The food was great as usual. The service was excellent from beginning to end. Our server was very attentive. Much appreciated.

My trips to Village Point are mostly going to the Apple Store. It’s a great mall, with business’s that are separate from each other. I call that an outdoor mall. Great top of the line stores. Some parking in front of the stores, lots of parking behind the stores. Once I went to several different stores to find a dress for my sister’s wedding, with no luck. So I went to Village Point Mall, and I found the perfect one. I also have great things to say about Village Point Toyota. I saw an ad for a great used car on the Internet. So I called them, it wasn’t in the lot yet, and a couple of days later it was there. I had a great experience there, it was the first time I bought a car without my husband. The staff was great, helpful, and friendly. No intimidation there, it was the best experience, and I got the car for a fair price. I’d go there again.

The mall is definitely losing stores and slowing down BUT they offer some great events now and that has become a lot of fun. The food court also offers some great food options! Obviously needs some updating and the AC seems to be trouble in the summer.

This is a nice mall, I wouldn't say it the best but its not the worst either, but it near the worst. It felt way too empty in there, the neon was off, the kids play area was closed, and there was a lot of empty spaces. The carnival out in the parking lot is probably going to be a lot better than everything and anything inside the mall.
Gabriel R — Google review
One of the oldest mall in the city. It's a very big place but too few shops. Kids area is very small and doesn't have enough attractions. Food courts are mediocre. Overall it's an average mall. It needs to be improved a lot like the other popular mall in the town (West roads mall). The cleanliness of the mall is also on the average side.

I liked the mall mainly because of its architecture. The mall is clean and tidy with lots of options for shopping. There’s a food court too. I went there mainly for Mac cosmetics which I didn’t find in any other malls. I went on Friday evening and it was not crowded. A nice place to hangout.

Bar & grill
Crescent Moon is a popular tavern in Omaha, known for its wide selection of top beers from around the world and pub fare. The tavern is famous for serving one of the best versions of the Reuben sandwich in the city, which is said to have been invented right across the street at the Cottonwood Hotel.
Love this spot! Crescent Moon has such a great vibe—laid-back, welcoming, and full of character. The food is always solid (highly recommend the Reuben), and they’ve got a great selection of local brews on tap that makes it easy to try something new each time. Whether you’re hanging with friends or just want a chill place to grab a bite and a beer, this place hits the mark. Definitely one of my go-to favorites in Omaha. This post was made in connection with a toast promotion.
Selena C — Google review
Decided to try this place for the history aspect. Seems like a chill sports bar with a wide tap selection. The Reuben: very saucy, loaded with meat and kraut. Overall it was good, but I had some textural issues with the way the beef was cut. I guess I've never had cubed beef on a sandwich, and now I know why. Certainly takes away from the experience. Chips and salsa as a side were as good as chips and salsa from a sports bar can be. Fries were crispy, well seasoned, and plentiful. This place was exactly what I needed it to be, and it was worth the try for the history-adjacent aspect.
Dylan — Google review
One of the best Reuben sandwiches my wife and I have had in the last few years. As legend has it, the Reuben was created at a poker game in Omaha’s Blackstone Hotel. Reuben Kulakofsky was one of the group of poker players and came up with it and Crescent Moon follows the original recipe. Crescent Moon has a friendly staff and great dine-in atmosphere. Pay for parking is available a block behind the restaurant as well as limited free street parking.
Howard S — Google review
Visited on a work trip. Recommended by the bartender at our hotel for their wings. They are supposedly the originator of the a Reuben Sandwich sonI had to try it. The sandwich was good. I got the wings as well but they didn't taste great. They were definitely the wrong flavor but I didn't feel like switching them in addition to being charged extra ranch when I didn't ask for extra ranch or was even given extra. I received on small container of it.
Justin I — Google review
A friend and I stayed at the hotel across the street and wanted some late night apps and drinks. We loved the drinks, the bartender put his own spin on drinks based on our tastes. The food came out quickly and was delicious, portions were great to share. My dad ended up meeting up and also helped us eat the apps. My only complaint or even observation was the bartender was great but the doorman just seemed to “bark” orders at the bartender. It was weird. Other than that our experience was 10/10.
Monica — Google review
At first, you’re going to think this is just some little dive bar, but that is not the vibe that hit you when you walk in. There were a lot of families in there, as well as locals who are just grabbing a beer after work. However, like us, there were many people there to try the Reuben sandwich. I don’t even like Reuben sandwiches, and this one was off-the-charts delicious. I will definitely eat here again when I return to Omaha. Our server was one of the nicest gals I’ve ever encountered. She told me all about the history of the place end of the sandwich. The bathrooms need some work as far as cleanliness, but that’s the only imperfection about the place.

Located in downtown Omaha, Charles Schwab Field is a state-of-the-art sports complex with a seating capacity of around 25,000. It serves as the home ballpark for Creighton University's baseball team and hosts the annual College World Series tournament. The venue has also been a popular choice for music concerts featuring renowned artists from around the world. Recognized as College Baseball Field of the Year in 2012, it offers an exciting atmosphere for sports enthusiasts and hosts various events throughout the year.
Such an amazing baseball field! While many may say it’s not the greatest, it’s definitely still an amazing field. We visited this past summer to watch the College World Series, and we definitely had an amazing time. The atmosphere was amazing, those LSU fans are LOUD! It’s so conveniently located in downtown Omaha next to some amazing restaurants and bars. My recommendations are to get there early for parking, take a clear bag to reduce your security time, and get your food early so you don’t have to wait in long lines when the innings are over!

It would be five stars if Park Omaha would get their act together. Traffic flow for the CWS was nice, Standing room only option was nice. But parking was a nightmare! Also, we were told multiple times there was cold water provided for free because of the heat which was not true. Which is fine but don’t tell people you’re providing something you’re not. Overall, I’ll be back for the CWS.

Awesome experience! Simple entry without complicated security at the entrance. Easy to find our seats. We were here for the CWS, which was a great experience!

We attended the CWS. Entrance was without issue. Our seats were located under an overhang which proved to our advantage with the rain. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. Enough food and drink options available so wait times were short. There were two food items that got a lot of hype that we tried. Both were unfortunately a disappointment. The Heat Streak Brat was cold, overly mushy and had one jalapeño on it. The Cubano Cutter was minus the shredded pork.

The Committee Chophouse, situated in the Cottonwood Hotel, formerly known as the Blackstone Hotel, is a renowned dining establishment with a rich history. Originally a private club called 'The Committee,' it hosted late-night poker games at the historic hotel and now continues this tradition in a modern setting. The restaurant offers an elegant modern take on the classic mid-century steakhouse and features the famous Cottonwood Room, evoking nostalgia from bygone days.
Our valentines night choice that doesn’t not disappoint! We were met with the warmest of atmospheres from the moment we stepped through the door. The booth my wife and I shared provided an intimate setting to enjoy each other’s company without feeling secluded from happenings of the restaurant. Our service from Sadie was a premier experience and absolute delight from a true professional. Her knoweldge of the menu inside and out helped our dinner decision process with ease and efficiency. As the night progressed her and the other wait staff were in and out with gracious courtesy to keep the table uncluttered to enjoy the meal from start to finish. Started with the crab cakes and cheese plate for the appetizers. For our entree we shared a beef Wellington that was executed with an elegance that made each tender bite better than the last. For sides we chose potatoes lyonnaise and garlic Brussels sprouts. Everything met the high expectations that I had in my mind and we will definitely be back for another elevated dinner date soon. Get here and enjoy the experience soonest!!!!

Had dinner here to celebrate my wife's 30th. The atmosphere is very pleasant. Amazing decor and lighting. Our waitress was super friendly and really made us feel knowledgeable about their menu items. I had the Delmonico and it was probably the best steak I've had in years. They really know how to cook a steak right here. My wife enjoyed her filet and we shared the most deletable cheesy potatoes I've ever had. For our starter we got the pork which was incredibly tasty. Their drinks were top notch and our dessert trio was a homage to the chefs childhood favorites. Overall we will be returning.

Food was excellent. Atmosphere was very nice. We had a decent sized party in the private dining room, our server was not very good. She was not very professional, not very friendly and sarcastic at times. Not real sure how she has a job at a nice place like this but we will just chalk it up to her having a rough day. The food was great. We tried all of the appetizers, the pork belly, oysters, bread board, and cheese plate were all excellent. I saw many great entrees, I had the Pork Chop with risotto and Arugula. The chili and peach glaze was very nice. Great dish. My lady next to me had the Delmonico 16oz Ribeye. It was very good but was not the best I have ever tasted. I also was told the Scallops were great by another friend but I did not get to try them. Many of the desserts looked good. I try not to sample the desserts but I heard good things about all of them. All in all, very nice establishment.

This place is impressive, and aesthetically stunning. Firstly, there is a noticeable ease in communication between the kitchen and front of house. Our server, Joe, was wonderfully attentive without being overwhelming. The courses were timed perfectly, which again, I can safely attribute to a highly functional kitchen/FOH relationship. The staff here is a team—no one is afraid to pre-bus, or fill a water. Everyone is polite, gracious, and professional. Full disclosure, we were spoiled during this visit, as our wonderful friend Dallas is a member of their culinary team—and he made it a point to make our experience memorable with a special prefix menu. While this would never be something I would ask for, my dining companion is far more daring than I, and had no problem going out of her way to make such a request. Dallas was more than willing to rise to the occasion, and personally presented our main course. Within our prefix menu, I saw incredible nods to the classics presented without the heaviness you’d find at traditional steakhouses. There was mid-rare duck with a gorgeous demi glacé, Piedmontese filet, and ribeye—all accompanied by small ramekins of house steak sauce, red & green chimichurri, and creamy horseradish. Everything was cooked to perfection. I could swim in the Mac & cheese. The mushrooms presented on the side were perfect, as well. We ended with a Baked Alaska, and some cappuccinos. It was the perfect ending, and the presentation was spot-on. It’s been a long while since I’ve worked in the fine dining sphere, and this place reminds me of everything I loved about it. If you’re looking for a wonderful, cozy experience, I can assure you that Dallas & Co will provide everything you seek and more.

Terrific experience. The steaks looked great. I had the pork chop and I was one of the best meals I have ever ordered. If you are looking to impress visitors to Omaha or enjoy a special night your self, I highly recommend the Committee Chophouse.
Dan D — Google review
This is a great date night spot and the semi circular booths are cozy. The interiors are well designed and retro classy. Service was top notch as well. Wedge salads are classic at a steak house and theirs was great! Super refreshing and savory. The steak tartare was not a traditional one and it was good quality. Unfortunately, I’m just not into the sweet jam in it and wish it wasn’t sweet at all. Not the fault of the restaurant, I just like a tartare that leans towards salt. The cowboy ribeye was surprisingly thin, but it had good flavor, was tender, and cooked to our exact request of medium rare. It was a tad too salty. The sauce we chose was chimichurri. I ended up having to add the chimichurri to the Lyonnaise potatoes because those had about no flavor and were very plain, it needed some salt. The other side we got was the broccolini and it had a really nice spicy kick to it.

The Committee Chophouse was one of the first steakhouses I visited after moving to Omaha, and it quickly became a top favorite. I made a reservation, so I’m not sure how easy it is to walk in, but they do have a beautiful bar at the entrance that offers happy hour and small bites from what I’ve read. Our server, Zane, was incredibly attentive and professional, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. It is a bit noisy, but still comfortable enough to hold a mid-volume conversation. Toward the end of our dinner, a loud group was seated next to us, and I could hear their entire conversation, just something to keep in mind. Now, let’s talk about the food. Everything we tried was fantastic. We both ordered ribeyes, the Cowboy and the Damontiago. We requested medium rare, though they came out slightly more on the rare side. That said, the quality of the beef was outstanding, so we didn’t mind at all. The wedge salad was perfectly portioned and topped with the most amazing bleu cheese. Our sides, mac and cheese and mushrooms, were rich, flavorful, and generously sized. A word of caution: the cocktails are delicious but very strong. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I can’t wait to bring out-of-town guests here in the future. Parking is limited to street spaces and a paid lot across the street, but valet service is available and the process was seamless right at the front of the hotel.

If you havent been to this culinary gem in Omaha.. I highly recommend! 🤤The Committee Chophouse is serving up PURE deliciousness! From the moment we walked into the elegant Committee Chophouse inside the Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel, we knew we were in for something special. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between timeless luxury and cozy sophistication — but it was the food that truly stole the show. 🔥 We started with the crabcakes and pork belly, and both were out-of-this-world delicious. The crabcakes were golden, crisped to perfection on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth tender inside — fresh, flavorful, and served with just the right touch of sauce. The pork belly was rich, savory, and buttery soft, with a caramelized crust that had us scraping the plate for more. For the main event, we couldn’t resist the Château Briand, and let me tell you — this is a steak lover's dream come true. Expertly cooked and beautifully presented, each slice was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. All sides are served thanksgiving style, enough for the table to share. If you like mushrooms, you will LOVE them here— earthy, buttery, and addicting. I literally kept eating them until I couldn’t anymore. 😂 🫣 😋 We also had the creamy mashed potatoes and crisp asparagus. Not pictured was the oreo baked alaska dessert and 👌 chefs kiss! This was a five-star meal from start to finish. If you're looking for a romantic date night, a special celebration, or simply an unforgettable dining experience in Omaha, Committee Chophouse is a must. 🥩🍷🍽️🔥

Kinaara is a down-to-earth restaurant that offers Indian cuisine with options for vegans and those who are gluten-free. The restaurant recently moved to a more upscale location, offering creative and high-end Indian food in a matching atmosphere. The menu has been upgraded, including the addition of a wine and cocktail menu. Kinaara is known for serving some of the most unique Indian food in the city, with dishes catering to various dietary needs such as vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options.
Everything was delicious! We had the butter chicken, lamp shank biryani special, garlic naan, samosa and everything was delicious! The sticky date cake with the caramel was such a standout dessert for us. Thank you

Best Indian restaurant in Omaha, in my humble opinion. What makes them stand out is their attention to detail; they note the origin of various dishes on the menu and prioritize using quality, local ingredients whenever possible. I also really appreciate their non-alcoholic drink options and the variety of vegan & gluten-free menu options. Their menu is concise without feeling limited, and the prices are very reasonable. If I lived closer, I'd be here all the time!

Great ambience and the cleanest Indian restaurant I’ve be been to. The chef displays great technique in his cooking of the rice, bread and meat. The depth of flavor in sauces is refreshing compared to an overwhelming spice fiesta you see at other Indian restaurants. I highly recommend this place!

Really nice decor and atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, and freshly prepared delicious food. Unlike other Indian restaurants, kinara was able to make the spice level mild so our toddler could enjoy it. Highly recommended! We will be back again!

Outstanding way to spend your anniversary. Had the Malai Kafka, and Mom’s Kottayan with Gruber. Garlic Naan and veg samosa. FANTASTIC! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Worth going if you’re in the area. Or in our case worth driving 40 minutes. Make reservations. 110 for 2.

Must visit spot for indian food if you are anywhere in Omaha. Well crafted right sized menu and truly scrumptious, with a good selection of vegetarian options and yes Vegan too. Lovely ambience and there is an option to sit outside in the patio as well if the weather is good! Lot of lovely cocktail and mocktail selections as well!!!

I LOVE Kinaara! We've been twice now and have been so pleased. Ashish and Kimberly have crafted a welcoming and comforting space. On our second visit I brought my camera because I wanted to document how beautiful the food is! We got the Chat Samosa, Mint Salad, and Pickle withFlavor Country Mushroom Curry, Vegetable Curry, and sides of Garlic/Rosemary Naan. If you're wondering if you should try, absolutely do!

Kinaara was a magnificent experience. We went on a Wednesday evening. I had a reservation to be safe. I split the Thali with my aunt which is a big platter of different dishes so you can try out a bunch of different options. Pictured below but had already eaten one of the chicken legs and some of the other dishes. They only do this on Wednesdays and Thursdays I believe. Our waitress was great at explaining what it all came with and answering questions. My aunt started with a spiced iced tea which she loved. Then we did the thali with an extra order of garlic naan because you can never have too much naan. We really enjoyed everything all the dishes had such vibrant flavor. Loved being able to try different things as well. This is a must stop for anyone who hasn’t tried Indian food, wants to branch out and try new things, or just can’t decide on a dish. Such a great way to experience this cuisine. The vibes are fantastic inside the decor is nice and comfortable. The service was fantastic inside addition to our server being great, someone always was refilling waters, and the chef even stopped by our table and others asking how things were. Pricing was fantastic for the Thali. Definitely will be back again and again.

Loved, loved, LOVED this place. We went before an event at the Steelhouse, food and service were both amazing. We'll definitely be back!

Got a to-go order of the Mediterranean chicken and Brussel sprouts. The food was good- not amazing- but certainly enjoyable. Unfortunately I assumed that my “seasonal specialty” would be considered an entree (since entrees aren’t a separate category) and come with a side salad, but sadly it did not. My chicken also did not have any kalamata olives. In addition to these omissions, I just don’t feel like what I received lives up to the $54 price tag. On the plus side, the ambiance inside the restaurant seemed nice and the server who helped get my order was very friendly and welcoming.

Went to Omaha for a business trip. First time there and decided to visit and eat a "Omaha" steak. My companion and I chose Spencer's because we wanted something special as a treat. We ordered steaks me the New York strip her the boneless ribeye both medium with a salted and pepper crust. Mine arrived charred and well done. Her's was perfect. Our waiter asked if everything was OK and I said no that my steak was not medium he says oh there's a little pink there. Mind you my juices are brown on the plate and my companion are pink. He returned to get me another steak and the middle was the only pink part of the steak and the manager or whomever the female was that came to let me know that it would be out shortly never inquired as to what the issue was or made any effort to find out. Our waiter tried to make it better by offering a free chocolate dessert. Overall the drinks were good and the salad was delicious, but if this is the treatment for a $100 dollar per person meal... thanks but no thanks Omaha.

Really nice dinner spot. Our server Marissa was very friendly and knowledgeable. She was tentative and very personable! The food was really good. My husband really liked his steak (Filet Mignon, Oscar style). I had the lamb chops, and they were pretty good as well. I was not a big fan of the sauce on the lamb chops, but overall, the lamb was cooked perfectly and tender. We had a great experience and loved the atmosphere.
Shawn C — Google review
Not worth the price. The meal started on a low note - bread and butter tasted freezer burned, and the wilted, flavorless salad tasted leftover from the day before. The calamari fries were a good texture and quantity, but way too salty. The tomato dipping sauce was not enjoyable. We were told the half order of Brussel sprouts were enough to feed two people - it was more for just one person and very salty as well. The steak was great. Well seasoned, but with everything else being so salty, it took away from the experience. The service was stellar, which is why I give 3 stars. Overall, not worth $100+ for two people who didn’t drink any alcohol and only had one steak.

New American restaurant
The Boiler Room is a charming loft restaurant with an industrial-chic ambiance and a wine cellar. It pays homage to its past as a boiler room while offering more than just stylish decor. The restaurant collaborates with 18 local growers to procure top-quality ingredients, which are then transformed into inventive and flavorful dishes that change with the seasons. Chef Tim Nicholson, a native of Omaha and multiple James Beard Awards' semifinalist, leads the kitchen in creating an exceptional culinary experience using farm-fresh foods.
We've been trying to get reservations for awhile, especially on a weekend so I suggest reserving asap! The atmosphere was chill, relaxed but upscale. We were seated upstairs which gave a great view of the kitchen. Service was fantastic! They really went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful experience. We dined on our anniversary weekend and got a couple flutes of champagne! What a fun surprise from them. The food was so excellent!! We ordered The steak & Pork Chop. Cannot wait to go back. It may be pricey, but it was worth it.

We were lucky enough to be in Omaha when The Boiler Room was having a special wine dinner menu - wines from a producer in the Rioja region of Spain. The set menu was as delicious as it sounded. They were able to graciously accommodate my shellfish allergy without a hitch! We loved the ambiance of the upstairs dining area and our waiter was well trained and very personable. The sommelier spent loads of time with us - very special. I highly recommend The Boiler Room.

Went to the Boiler Room for my birthday as a surprise and the food was absolutely to die for. The pork belly appetizer had SO much flavor and was delectable. Just as the main courses were. Honestly every dish we got was so full of flavor and so well made. One of the best meals I’ve had in Omaha. The service was excellent and they were on top of every need and question. I highly recommend if you want a very nice dinner with excellent service!

Amazing food, service, and venue! Definitely visit if you have not. It is a bit more on the upscale side so expect prices accordingly. But in my opinion, at least based on the food and service we received, it was absolutely worth every penny! Perfect for a special occasion like anniversary or birthday, or date night. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious. Definitely go if you haven't already.. you will not regret it!

This was our first time at The Boiler Room. We had heard many good things and were very excited for our early Valentine’s Day dinner. To start, we ordered the Soy Glazed Pork Belly. It was phenomenal. My wife and I both hate carrots yet we’re delighted with the carrot puree served under the belly. The meat itself was soft and extremely flavorful. My wife ordered the Sablefish and I ordered the Venison Loin. The sablefish was done amazingly. Each element complimented it extremely well and the cook was perfect. The venison was a perfect experience overall. I’ve never had a dish where each of the sides and sauces worked so well together. The sweet potato paired well with the rare meat and the risotto was cooked to perfection. We finished off with a chocolate semifreddo served with peanut butter mouse. It was delicious and perfectly sized. We also each ended with an espresso, which was saved by the biscotti. We never expect much from restaurant espressos, but the biscotti was a welcome treat. We each had a couple cocktails throughout the meal and were very pleased with them. The waiter was a bit quiet and standoffish but knew their menu and were very quick. The restaurant was not very full due to weather and made for a quieter atmosphere. At times it was a bit too quiet, but this was not at the fault of the restaurant. We agreed this was one of our best meals in Omaha in quite a long time. The price was worth it and we will be back again in the future.

We had a fabulous experience! The atmosphere was amazing and the service was just as good. I’m a big foodie so when I say the food is phenomenal, it was very very good! We decided to try most of the appetizers and they didn’t disappoint! They have a very nice wine list as well! Definitely recommend if you’re here in Omaha I want a great food experience!

Wow. Simply wow. What a great place. The atmosphere is unassuming but classy. The menu is limited, which to me says excellence. The sommelier was knowledgeable and helpful. The food was AMAZING. I’ve had great food in many places but this was simple and absolutely delicious. I had the wagyu hangar steak. Tartare and croquettes and pork belly for an appetizer. We enjoyed the dessert sampler and some port after the main dish. Highly recommend if you’re ever in the area!!
Thomas C — Google review
This was our second time visiting Boiler Room. We ordered the steak first time around, and we found it to be lacking. We decided to give it a second try for our anniversary and unfortunately, the food remained mediocre. It is unfortunate, considering the ambience is very appealing and the cocktails and complimentary champagne for our anniversary were great. To start, we ordered tagliatelle and pork belly. Each of these dishes was good enough, though not standouts in their own right. For the main courses, we ordered the halibut and duck breast. Similar to our first visit, the main courses fell flat, considering the price ($50+ each dish). The duck was chewier than we would prefer and the halibut was completely ordinary. My boyfriend noted that the flavors of each visit leaned heavily into earthy flavors, which left him wanting more. For instance, the apple and beet purée accompanying his duck was something that was unpleasant on its own but okay when eaten with the rest of the dish. The highlight of the evening was the pistachio semifreddo, which was accompanied by white chocolate and blackberries. It was a great way to end the meal. We also received complimentary macarons, which were pleasant and buttery. Each time we have been to The Boiler Room, we were hoping to give it 5 stars. Unfortunately, we left underwhelmed each time. For the price, there are much better restaurants in the area.

The Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge, also known as "Bob the Bridge," is a modern 3,000-foot cable-stayed footbridge that spans the Missouri River, connecting Omaha and Council Bluffs. This popular bridge is open to pedestrians and cyclists and offers stunning views of the river and the Omaha skyline. It is part of a 150-mile trail network in the area, making it an ideal starting point for exploring on foot or by bike.
Stunning views, day or night. If you like bridges, there’s a chance you’ll like this bridge. I do love me some bridges and this one is a looker for sure. Best of all its one of those spots that you can be standing in two states at the same time~

This was a must-see part of Omaha, truly making my visit to the city a unique experience. The combination of the rich Lewis and Clark history with the majestic nature of the bridge, my hour-long trip here to the other side and back was relaxing and gave me great perspective of the city (and the Iowa side too!). My favorite parts were the troll at the bottom of the bridge and the amazing views of the skyline of Omaha, great picture point!

This is one of the most amazing pedestrian bridges I've visited. The view was breath taking and it was so peaceful. It wasn't overly crowded today (Saturday) so that was a plus. The best part was the signage showing being in 2 states at once. 😁 Definitely recommend to visit at least one time if you are in the area!

In August 2025, we visited the Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge in Omaha, Nebraska. This bridge spans the Missouri River between Iowa and Nebraska, and it offers stunning views of Downtown Omaha. There was abundant free parking on the Nebraska side. The bridge is about 20 feet wide, and we did not feel afraid or uncomfortable walking across the bridge. There is no cost to walk across the bridge, either. This was a super fun and memorable experience to walk across this bridge and back and enjoy the scenery.
John C — Google review
A gorgeous area accompanying the RiverFront. There is chalk graffiti on the ground, the bridge is breath taking from every angle, and the mighty Missouri River is fun to be looked down upon. Plus, one can stand in two states at once!
Salem K — Google review
Crossed early afternoon without a crowd. The entire bridge is 3,000 feet (slightly over a half mile). There are two ramps entrances with the NPS parking lot offering more parking. Nice views on the N/I divide. If you plan to hang there, expect temperature change and wind to increase. Easy cross for walkers, bikers, and wheelchairs. The Iowa side has a relaxing vibe with a--we are not alone--piece of art you will find irresistible to photograph. Relax once you reach the Iowa side with benches, additional walking paths, and a great view of Omaha.

Very nice pedestrian bridge. The sign says it's 3000 ft. Good views to look out over the river and downtown Omaha. There are trails you can get to on both sides of the river.

Heartland of America Park at The RiverFront is a serene urban escape featuring a man-made lake offering boat rides and captivating evening light shows. With stunning views of the Missouri River and vast green lawns, it's the largest component of The RiverFront. Visitors can enjoy walking trails, piers, and new additions like the Skate Ribbon for ice skating in winter and roller skating in summer.
Absolutely stunning! Had a great time. Great place to relax, talk with friends, and enjoy the outdoors. The place has adult size swings, teeter totters, slides, and a roller skating area. We went there on a Saturday afternoon and came back on Saturday night. There were loads of people, but it did not seem crowded. There are plenty of walking paths next to water features and also plenty of places to sit. There are even oversized hammocks to enjoy. We also enjoyed the area early Sunday morning it was very peaceful. Whenever we stay in Omaha, we will book a room close to this fantastic getaway. It is very clean, and there is a security presence that is noticeable but not intrusive. Always felt very safe and that we were in a secure environment. The place also has a great dog park.

Gene Leahy Mall at The RiverFront is a 10-acre urban park located in downtown Omaha. It has undergone a major renovation and now features lush gardens, walking paths, a playground, lagoon, waterfall, and an amphitheater. The park spans from 13th to 8th streets between Douglas and Farnam streets and is surrounded by towering buildings. Formerly known as Central Park Mall, it was renamed after former Omaha Mayor Eugene A.
Such a cool place! Outdoor Skating rink, hammocks allover the place to rest, fire pits, pond with area to walk around it, cool lit up bridge where you can see the city, slides, water area and plenty of places to sit. There were food trucks and a 4th of July symphony and fireworks, it was a great experience. There is a really neat kids play area, a dog park and public bathrooms (until like 10pm). They close the park like at 10 and everyone has to leave, they have lots of security and law enforcement down there.

Whether you're in the mood for a picnic, want to play ball, try out some roller skating, or just spend quality time with family, you’ll find it all here. I really appreciate the friendly security personnel and police officers who make it feel so safe. The food trucks parked along the street look delicious, Plus, they host music and movie nights now and then/ events, so be sure to check out the schedule for all the fun events coming up! Hope you guys find this helpful. Have a great day👋!

The outdoor experience is amazing. It gives a sense of community, is practical, and has clean and maintained. The park is well maintained and not only is it great for walks, but they also have many children areas, statues, concert hall, clean restrooms, a roller skating rink, a dog park, a fountain view, and many other communal areas. The park is also monitored with security and is checked every hour to ensure that it is a safe space for the public.

We absolutely LOVE Gene Lehey!! We have been coming here since they first opened before the river front was even finished! It's open till 10 and the climbing things are so fun and a great workout! The light show on the building is a fun attraction.. When the music starts playing everybody starts running towards the same spot to watch the light show! My favorite is the Cascades where the kids can play in the water and get cooled off!! And it's all free!

Growing up visiting Omaha several times a year we always made a trip to the metal slides. I was bummed when they took them out but found out they revamped the whole area into an amazing, fun, magical playground area! The metal slides are back along with super cool climbing things, huge porch swings, , grassy areas, sculptures, a water feature and all kind nds of other stuff! Well worth the trip and could easily spend a day there!

Located in the north downtown neighborhood of Omaha, CHI Health Center is a prominent convention center and arena that hosts a wide range of events including music concerts, comedy shows, theater performances, and sporting events. With state-of-the-art facilities and a seating capacity of up to 17,500 patrons, it is the city's largest arena and a popular venue for major music tours as well as Creighton basketball games.
We always love going to CHI! The atmosphere is ecstatic and it’s such a great arena size! Super easy to navigate to your section and be able to use the restrooms, get food and drinks, and purchase merchandise. Going through security is usually a breeze. Food and drinks are always on the higher side, but it’s an arena so it’s pretty much like that anywhere. It is a cashless arena, so make sure to take your debit/credit card. (Warning, strong use of flashing/strobing lights in my videos, so those with epilepsy may want to avoid).

Relatively clean. Paid parking was easy. Seeing a show in the round was an experience, however I don't think it was listed that way when we got tickets. The seats in section 200 seemed narrower than average seats. When you go to pay for something at vendors the 'tip first' option isn't very efficient, slows down places like "fast break."

This is one of the best college sports venues I’ve been to in a long time. The stadium appears to be on the newer side. Easy, cheap parking and short walk from the parking lot. There are a lot of good concession stands, and the place is spotless

Went to the Linkin Park concert here on 8/29. It was an incredible show and the venue was great for it. They played in the middle of the pit and we had a ferocious mosh pit going, it was a lot of fun. What was less fun was an interaction I had with a member of the staff at the event. All were very helpful and courteous. However, when in line for merchandise to support the show, me and my friends waited about 25 minutes in line and got to the front kiosk same as everyone else, when all of a sudden the barriers are moved over a few feet and a line is made for a fast-pass type of entry to the merch stand. A family then barges in front of us when we were standing in front of the register about to ask for merchandise. When they finish and bump us on the way out of the merch line with no clear exit route, I then step up to order, but am met with a rejection of service by an older cashier named Sandy. She very rudely turned me away and stated that “they have bar codes” and did not show any sympathy or offer a solution when I told her I and everyone behind me have been waiting in line to get merch. I then think to ask the line next to me on the left if I could possibly cut in behind someone at the line, and I am very kindly allowed in to purchase with the register adjacent. This would have been the end of a generally unpleasant incident, had I then not picked out my merchandise and got ready to pay to overhear Sandy complaining to the patrons in the priority line how “she was yelled at”. I did not raise my voice to Sandy, I simply asked if we could not just go every other person until our line was cleared, to which I was simply turned away and subsequently ignored with no recourse or alternative that I then had to figure out myself. If you’re going to turn away a customer who waited in line like everyone else, at least have the courtesy not to lie about their behavior, which was witnessed by others, right in front of their face. This was very unprofessional and quite frankly felt deliberately cruel for Sandy to fluster me by leaving me on my own in a crowded merch line when I had waited and watched as a priority line got spontaneously created next to me. If the line had been there from the start then it would have been different. To turn me away and then claim to be yelled at when I tried very hard not to overly escalate the situation, was disingenuous at best and outright mean at worst. I did not appreciate the way Sandy handled that situation, and the interaction made an otherwise amazing concert have a stain on it. I reiterate, everyone else, but Sandy, was delightful.

Saw Linkin Park here with my daughter on 8/29. Facility was nice although entry was a bit strange compared to what we are use to. We got pretty far in to the building before hitting a metal detector. Which is strange, considering this world we live in and people bringing backpacks and other things in. Concert was great and staff was on point. Exiting the parking lots was a bit of a nightmare but to be expected with crowd of that size.

@morrisminifarmcreations & @shawneemorrisart were at the convention center for Comic Con Nebraska. The convention center is beautiful and the Art pieces that are on the outside are fascinating. We enjoyed being artist alley vendors at such a stunning convention center.

This experience was exactly what I was looking g forward to! We got in and out parking and everyone behind us waited longer! 😉 Section 221 Row H seats 19 &20. $25 for Shinedown! Of course we did. Venue is decent, seats are definitely on the smaller side, but whatever. SHINEDOWN for 25 bucks.

Great venue to watch basketball (which I did on my most recent visit), wrestling or a concert. Lots of food options inside and nearby. Plenty of places within walking distance and a short drive from the Henry Doorly Zoo.

Ice cream shop
Coneflower Creamery, situated in the heart of Omaha's Blackstone District, is a modern parlor that serves up delicious handmade ice cream using locally sourced ingredients. The shop offers a variety of classic and unique flavors, with everything from Butter Brickle to sweet corn being seasonally driven. Visitors can expect generous portions and friendly staff at this 'farm-to-cone' ice cream shop where even the sprinkles are homemade.
It’s my first time trying coneflower ice cream. I absolutely loved it. The ice cream was sooo rich in flavor unlike others. They definitely have better flavors. I got the coconut flavor ice cream and it was sooo creamy and so rich. The server was kind and she gave me samples of few ice cream I was interested in.

I recently visited Coneflower Creamery and tried their roasted pistachio and hazelnut ice cream flavors. Unfortunately, both tasted pretty basic and didn’t stand out in any special way. Given the high Google Maps rating, I was expecting something more memorable—maybe the other flavors are better, but I’m not sure. The shop itself is quite small with no real space for sitting, so it’s more of a grab-and-go spot. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. Overall, I’d give the experience around 2.5 to 3 out of 5.

Greetings from Indiana! We were in Omaha for a robotics competition and had the pleasure of visiting Coneflower Creamery—thanks to a local artist at Hot Shops who highly recommended it. Having traveled far and wide—from Asia to California to New York and many places in between—I can confidently say Coneflower serves the best ice cream we’ve ever had. Their meticulous attention to flavor and quality truly sets them apart. During our visit, I had the pleasure of meeting Brian, who I later found out is the owner. With his signature handlebar mustache, he was humble, welcoming, and made our experience all the more memorable. He even graciously posed for a photo when I asked! The next day, we stopped by their Millwork location, where all the ice cream magic happens. The team went above and beyond to accommodate my son’s food allergies, even preparing fresh batches just for him. Their thoughtful care meant the world to us. We also loved the decor and the unique viewing area where you can see the “ice cream lab” in action. Everything about the experience was so delightful, we couldn’t leave without picking up a T-shirt (the yellow one with the cone and flowers—of course!). We’ll definitely be back!

Coneflower Creamery did not disappoint! The ice cream is delicious and there are lot of unique flavors. The hardest part is deciding which ones to get! We loved the sweet corn, tart cherry crumble and butter brickle!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars – Deservedly #1 It’s no surprise Coneflower is ranked #1 by Yelp and highly praised by just about everyone else—it never disappoints. Today’s lineup was pure ice cream bliss: cinnamon-something deliciousness (still dreaming about it), banana Nutella something, birthday cake, and cherry crumble tart. One flavor was better than the next. Rich, creative, and always on point. Hats off to the team—thank you for consistently delivering scoop after scoop of joy.

Highest quality ice cream in a great variety of both classic and unique flavors. We had an ice cream sandwich and the chocolate chip cookie made in-house was also fantastic. I love ice cream and seek it out whenever we're in a new city and Coneflower is absolutely worth going out of your way for.

Cafe
Archetype Coffee is a popular spot in Omaha's Little Bohemia neighborhood, known for its carefully prepared coffee and chic rustic atmosphere. The cafe, established in 2014, prides itself on sourcing high-quality organic and Fair Trade beans while forming relationships with coffee farmers. The interior features exposed brick walls, wooden furnishings, and touches of greenery, creating an ideal environment for productivity or leisurely coffee dates.
I tried the chocolate milk latte with chocolate milk and coffee. Honestly It was sooo good. The taste was very rich. It was kinda hard to find parking. I had to pay for the parking but it was worth it. The quantity was small but I paid 2.50$ for extra milk.

The coffee is rich, flavorful, and made with care. The atmosphere is equally impressive, with a vibrant mix of greenery and music that creates a warm, welcoming vibe. The refurbished furniture adds an eclectic touch and is fun to look at.

She explained everything in full detail, and even told me all about the pastries.I normally don’t write reviews but she was so good at her job that I wanted to give her a shout out! I ended up getting a honey cinnamon latte, it was delicious! I will definitely be back.

Coffee is great but the service seems like the staff thinks you should feel lucky to get their coffee and their service. Same at South 13& Farnam locations. The don't say hi or acknowledge you when you come in and they don't take names on the coffee nor do they call out orders when ready they just set them on the counter and expect you to fend for yourself. That's what I get for stopping by because it was conveniently on my way to work not again I'll go out of my way for Hardy coffee from now on at least they act like they want you there. Oh the banana bread is good though.

The menu boasts over seventy drinks, including two specialty margaritas - the Cucumber Jalapeno margarita being a standout option.
The tuna tower was spectacular. Awesome recommendation from the waitress. happy hour sushi was delicious and priced awesome. Only complaint would be that the seaweed felt a little soggy on the texture. I can't wait to revisit and try more

Loved my visit to Blue Sushi Sake Grill! The vibe is modern and welcoming, and the food was delicious. As someone who prefers vegetarian options, I absolutely loved the Cowgirl Roll – so creative and full of flavor. Great place for sushi lovers, even if you don’t eat fish!

Our server was very attentive and helpful. Both the soup and the salad could be a main dish if paired together. The sushi is not my #1 in Omaha but it is still excellent. The lunch special is the way to bring the price down as it is on the expensive side.

We had a great experience. Our server Margaret was awesome. It was my first time getting sushi. She explained everything and gave excellent recommendations. Food and drinks were delicious. We will go again when we’re back in the area.

The sushi and service were great! We tried the Lion King, Cowgirl, and Crunchy Blue rolls, and each one was delicious, especially the Lion King, which was a new one for us. As an appetizer, we had the Crispy Brussels Sprouts with lemon miso and cashews. They were perfectly crispy without being burnt, and they had a great flavor. The China Doll cocktail was a well-balanced drink with a sweet and sour taste, and it had a pretty garnish! We sat upstairs by a window overlooking 12th Street. It is a really cool and fun area. We went during happy hour on a Friday, and even though they were quite busy, we were seated right away.

Blue is one of the places on my very short list of “safe spots to eat” due to my allergies and dietary restrictions. Our server at the downtown location, Margaret, was very knowledgeable about allergies and cross contamination. I felt so seen and heard and not rushed with the questions I had about ingredients. She truly made our experience dining out a solid 10/10. Everything was phenomenal as always and I had no bad reactions. Having a clearly marked menu and trained staff makes a huge impact and we can’t wait to order from Blue again!

Restaurant
Avoli Osteria is a chef-owned restaurant and bar located in the historic Dundee neighborhood of Omaha. The cozy yet elegant space offers an authentic Northern Italian dining experience, aiming to transport guests to the streets of Italy. The menu features a variety of classic dishes alongside lesser-known options, providing an opportunity for a true culinary adventure. With attentive service and a carefully curated menu, Avoli Osteria has become a local favorite since its opening in 2013.
Took my wife out for her birthday dinner and we were very surprised by the atmosphere and the way we were being taken care of. The food was out of this world amazing. We couldnt believe the caliber of dishes we were about to receive. The kitchen worked like a symphony of beautiful motion under the tutelage of the chef who ran the kitchen. The carbonara was creamy and felt so rustic. Very homemade. The dry aged new york strip was without a doubt the best steak I will ever have. My life is now in shambles cause I will always be wanting this steak for every meal. Steve the waiter was funny and nice. He was amazing. We will be returning custerrmers quite often

Definitely one of the top 20 dining establishments in Omaha overall. Service is detailed and impeccable. Nearly all of the pasta is handmade on site. Tried a special with locally sourced morel mushrooms, and it was out of this world. The carbonara is unquestionably the best I’ve had.

Avoli Osteria was a hit with my wife and I. She loves all things pasta so we finally got to check out this spot on Mother’s Day. We decided to sit on the shaded patio and it was just beautiful outside. Chad our server was fantastic, super friendly and knowledgeable about the menus. I started with the Rababaro Scura and my wife had the Marula Concerto. Both good cocktails. I started with the octopus as an appetizer. The char on it was perfect and really enjoyed the potatoes it came with as well. My wife had a Caesar which was tasty real fresh with a lighter dressing. My wife had the penne a la vodka and added the spicy sausage on recommendation from Chad. She really enjoyed it and the fresh mozzarella it came with. I had the house tagliatelle which came with a ton of meat in the sauce and the noodles were perfectly al denté. We both had leftovers to take home which they box table side for you. Overall we really enjoyed the place. Not sure there’s one dish that would make me come back but everything was just very good. And the service just made it a 5 star experience.

The best food we've had in Omaha! We started with a beautiful cucumber salad and the grilled octopus, next the squid ink radiatori, followed by the Croatian duck pasta that was on special, and ended with a perfect flourless chocolate cake. Our server coursed out our meal perfectly! Can't wait to come back!

TL/DR - Chad our server was extraordinary, carbonara was amazing, appetizers were amazing, atmosphere was great- our table could have used a draft as it was slightly warm. INCREDIBLE Italian food in a comfy & sophisticated restaurant. My wife took me here to celebrate a big win and it was a wonderful experience. Chad was super helpful in deciding what to get since I had never been there. I chose the carbonara, complemented by an order of pork belly at Chad’s recommendation. It was a lot of food but my goodness was it good. As an appetizer, we got the Brussel sprouts and marinated olives. Both were amazing- the brussel sprouts were crunchy all the way through and hearty in the middle- wow! I was then surprised by a delicious dessert with a congrats from Chad. Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. Only reason I gave atmosphere a 4/5 is because it was a little hot and stuffy at the table we got. It was a corner table so that is to be expected somewhat but it would have perfect with a slight draft- maybe a ceiling fan on the lowest setting would do the trick. One more thing to add: evidently there was a glass broken near our table and I didn’t know about it until later when my wife told me. Just an illustration of the crew’s ability to keep the mood relaxed and professional. 9.5/10 overall experience.

Another anniversary spent once again at the legendary Avoli Osteria. The precious moments we spent coming here and reliving the best night of dining we have ever experienced is a severe understatement. First we ordered the focaccia. The charred bites of toasted to perfection Morales were exquisite. Next was the pasta dishes. Bolognese Bianca was presented beautifully and balanced the flavors perfectly. The gnniochi with the homemade pesto and blue cheese creme was a thing of art. The main dish of the night is the Besteca 24 Oz Riley steak. 38 day dry aged steak. To die for. And to top off the night. Our wonderful Waiter Steven was out of this world hospitable. He remembered where we sat and what we ordered from over a year ago. He is what makes this establishment feel like home. And this is where we will be spending our precious moments at from here on out. Thank you avoli chefs for your wonderful dishes and thank you Steven for being a beautiful soul.

I also ordered a non-alcoholic drink that was so delicious-I let our excellent server choose. Don’t miss the Tiramisu! Absolutely fabulous! We plan to return to try other items on the menu.

It has certainly changed since the last time I visited 36 years ago. My 5 year old loved it! We spent 3 hours there and could have spent the entire day if I had planned appropriately. It has a lot of history, science, and art activities for the kids as well as a ton of different play areas such as hyvee grocery, a Dr's office, mechanic, apartment building, agricultural, etc. Will definitely go back!

It's really lovely to see children happy, excited and running one area to other and not wanting to apart from fun.

It was back to school weekend. They have activities set out to do but did not have all the supplies needed. Workers were sitting on their phone instead of interacting with the kids and explaining how to do the different projects. The Lego people were the only ones willing to stop and talk and explain what they were doing.

Museums
The Joslyn Art Museum is a captivating blend of 1930s Art Deco architecture and modern design by Norman Foster. The exterior boasts colorful Dale Chihuly glasswork, setting the stage for an eclectic collection of European, American, Asian, Native American, Latin American, and contemporary art inside. Kids can enjoy the Discovery Garden while adults explore outdoor sculptures or visit the Minds Eye Gallery featuring original pieces from beloved children's book illustrators.
It is a free museum. Dogs are allowed on the property, but not in the museum. I recommend picking up a map in the lobby, as there are lots of rooms and hallways. You can very easily spend a couple of hours there. There are certain rooms in the museum that you can't go in without a ticket, but most of the museum is open for anybody. They have beautiful paintings and artifacts. The architecture in the building is amazing, and they have engravings on the outside of the building as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this museum. In addition to offering stunning architecture, the art itself is eclectic and on par with some of the museums we have explored in Europe. There is also an amazing room downstairs for kids to express their creativity. Truly, this museum offers something for all ages.

The Joslyn is a great art museum. I saw a Thomas Heart Benton, a Monet, and a Degas. I can't help but compare it to the Nelson-Atkins, even though it is smaller with a smaller collection. Just like the Nelson, it is a few buildings with different styles attached to each other. The buildings are just as beautiful as the art they house. It's a wonderful place to spend an afternoon. I really appreciated that many of the signage was in English and Spanish. The grounds are beautiful.

This was my first time visiting Joslyn in almost 25 years as I no longer live in the area. I grew up in Omaha and visited Joslyn many times over the years for school trips, for family enlightenment of the arts, also for their Jazz on the Green concerts where we would visit the museum before the concerts. Visiting the Joslyn this time I was very impressed with the recent building additions as well as the art collections in the various galleries. Well done Joslyn, this museum would be good fit for any city anywhere. Plus free parking and free admission, wow.

A Wonderful Visit to the Joslyn Art Museum My recent visit to the Joslyn Art Museum was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a feeling of serenity and awe. The museum truly lives up to its reputation as a hidden gem, and I was so pleasant inside. The space is thoughtfully laid out, allowing each piece to breathe and command attention, and it felt like beautiful works of art were in every corner imaginable. One of the most captivating pieces I encountered was a painting made of broken pottery. The artist's ability to transform discarded shards into a cohesive and beautiful image was nothing short of brilliant. The texture and depth created by the uneven surfaces gave the work a unique dimension that a traditional painting could never achieve. It was a powerful reminder that beauty can be found in the most unexpected places. Another highlight was the striking black and white room. The simplicity of the color palette only served to amplify the dramatic impact of the artwork. The interplay of light and shadow, combined with the bold lines and forms, created a visually stunning and deeply immersive experience. It was a space that encouraged contemplation and a different way of seeing. But perhaps the most whimsical and imaginative piece was a sculpture made up entirely of clear buttons. It was a testament to the artist's creativity and patience. The way the light caught the multitude of buttons, each one a tiny lens, created a shimmering, ethereal effect. It was a playful yet sophisticated piece that brought a smile to my face and left me marveling at the sheer ingenuity behind it. Overall, I can't express enough how wonderful it is that we have such an amazing art gallery. The Joslyn Art Museum is a true treasure, offering a diverse and engaging collection that appeals to a wide range of tastes. It's a place where you can lose yourself for hours, discovering new favorites around every corner. I left feeling inspired, refreshed, and grateful for the opportunity to experience such a beautiful collection. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an enriching and enjoyable outing.

Brewery
Nestled in the historic Old Market district, Upstream Brewing Company is a must-visit for beer enthusiasts and food lovers alike. Established in 1996, this pioneering brewery occupies a charming turn-of-the-century firehouse and boasts an inviting atmosphere with both indoor seating and a unique rooftop patio that offers stunning views of downtown Omaha. Guests can savor handcrafted beers brewed on-site, including their classic pale ale and innovative options like the Eternity IPA.
Cool environment, good beer selection and drinks. Old firehouse definitely worth stopping in. Standard pub style food with vegan options. They make their own bread, which is unique.

Very cute place downtown. Beer was good. Love being able to get a flight to sample multiple brews. Our party was disappointed that there wasn’t a “sour” beer. I was happy with the beers I sampled. Food was just okay. Tomato basil soup was 5 stars, but the spinach artichoke dip was only two stars due to being mostly melted butter. The adult grilled cheese was okay - the inclusion of apple butter onto the sandwich is great in theory, but I feel there was too much on the sandwich overpowering the cheese and bread.

When they’re on a date recently and was pleasantly impressed. We have been at this place before we sat inside. Their selection of regular food was nothing special to me. However, this time around when we went, we had an outside patio seating, which was very pleasant and very nice. It allowed us to observe Omaha. It allowed us to enjoy that outside perspective. The food was good this time around we ordered appetizers chicken wings were absolutely great. The sauce was not just splattered on the wings, and they seem like they were actually marinated in the buffalo sauce which added to the flavor tremendously. We also ordered fish and chips and after having Gordon Ramsay‘s fish and chips, I was not expecting a whole lot from that. not because it’s not a name brand food or so but mainly because a lot of places in the United States are a hit or miss more miss with the fish and chips than hit. Well, I can say that upstream brewing company knows how to do their fish and chips and they were hands-down absolutely delicious. We would come back here for specifically that meal again.. There are seasonal brews and beers were great. We enjoyed every ounce that. I highly recommend this place.

A good selection of some very good beers--I especially liked the Dundee Scottish Ale. The brewery is in an old 2 story brick building with tons of character and comfortable seating. The second floor has pool and game tables in a large open bar area. There is a large selection of food options from appetizers to sandwiches to entrees. The burgers and fries were very good, The Rueben, although tasty, was served on some very thick, hard bread. I ended up eating the meat and sauerkraut, but left most of the bread on the plate. Service was good and the food came out very quickly. After we settled the bill, we felt rushed by the waitstaff although a few of us were still talking as we finished our drinks. There were plenty of empty tables and no line of people waiting to be seated. Sometimes it nice to sit and finish your drinks without pressure to leave.

I visited Upstream Brewing on the last night of a business trip and chose to sit at the bar. I ordered a Saison Botanique, which had a delightful saison bite with strong floral notes—I was thoroughly impressed. After sampling a few of their other beers, I returned to the Saison Botanique to pair with my dinner. For my meal, I chose the salmon burger with fries. The salmon burger was good but not exceptional, as it felt somewhat dry, though I still enjoyed it. The fries, however, were outstanding, with a perfect crunch and excellent preparation. The service during the meal was adequate but not remarkable, much like the salmon burger. Overall, the Saison Botanique and fries were the highlights of the experience, while everything else met my expectations. I would gladly return on my next trip to Omaha. Rounding up from a 4.5 to a 5 since it’s a brewery and the beer was delicious.

The burgers are nothing great. We sat outside, where there are plenty of bugs smaller than the black specks in the ranch, which was quite excellent actually. The bugs bite. This grew especially tiresome while we waited 10 minutes in the wind after paying to get our cards back. This was my first time in the Omaha Old Market, but I’m sure there’s better food around.

Went on a Saturday afternoon to eat and watch husker game. Our waitress Lizzy was totally amazing!!! Attentive but not over attentive, let us watch the entire and continued to provide service. Food was very good and the smells of fresh baked bread were great ...so my party said...I was unable to smell it. Absolutely would recommend this place and if you get Lizzy as your server you will not be disappointed!

Just stopped in for a drink. Despite being fairly busy, I got great service and bartenders were on top of everything. Good selection of beers. Food menu looked great too, but I'd just eaten elsewhere.

Restaurant
La Buvette Wine & Grocery is a delightful gem nestled in Omaha's Old Market district, exuding an irresistible Parisian charm. This enchanting spot began its journey as a deli counter and specialty grocery store in the 1990s and has since evolved into a beloved restaurant. With its cozy interior adorned with thousands of wine bottles, La Buvette offers an inviting atmosphere perfect for enjoying Italian-inspired dishes alongside affordable wines.
I live in the area and had only been here once before for some wine. It was a Thursday afternoon around 1 o’clock, and my wife and I stopped here for some food and some wine. It wasn’t busy and we were able to get a seat outside immediately. The wine I picked out they did not have cold, but the server grabbed a bucket of ice brought it to the table, put the wine in it and we are off to the races. We had a meat and cheese tray, some olives and bread and butter. Everything we had was fantastic. We finished the bottle of wine and had two more glasses of wine. We spent a long time there and nobody seemed to be in any hurry for us to leave, which we really appreciate it. I think this place can get pretty busy later in the afternoon and it may be harder to get a table but, if you get there a little bit earlier, you can have a really relaxing and nice time. The server could not have been nicer and more accommodating to us. Highly recommended.

Popular wine bar. They have a big collection of wines and spirits and you can buy and drink. Small kitchen but a big food menu as well. My friends Picked a bottle Of chilled champagne from the Cooler and I had a single malt. We share multiple appetizers, Humus, Salmon, Caprese Salad bread. Orders the lamb shank which was flake and there were some grilled sandwiches. Several of the main entrees they were out of.

More of an institution, the most authentic French gourmet that I’ve had since that hole in the wall Parisian place back in the mid nineties. Not to miss if you are a foodie, enjoy European wine and excellent cheese. Just wish I’d found it sooner. Service is great but more euro vibe than hot air American vibe… and LEGIT baguette made on site
Gavin W — Google review
This place is truly an authentic French restaurant. The bread, wine selection, ambiance, and most importantly the food variety remind me of France. The staff are very kind and laid back. I will make it a priority to come here every time I'm in Omaha.

Perfect place to enjoy the weather after the farmers market. We appreciated that the patio was dog friendly and the food choices were unique and flavorful!

This was our second visit…the first being 6 years ago. It’s like walking into a Parisian cafe in the heart of Omaha! The charm, lighting and staff lend to the outstanding experience. Our party shared the charcuterie platters and I had the roast chicken over mash. All of it was delightful. The staff shared 5e service and regularly stopped at her table to ensure we were ok. They brought around artisan bread and butter several times also. We selected two bottles of red wine and were pleasantly surprised to see the modest price. Value for money was certainly the theme at this beautiful restaurant. Highly recommended.

What an absolutely phenomenal experience! You feel like you’re in the movie “Ratatouille”. The presentation and taste of the food is out of this world. The ambience is cozy and surreal. You feel like you’re transported to a quaint hole-in-the-wall gem in France. Prices are outstanding for the quality of food too. I bring everyone that visits me in Omaha here.
Clive M — Google review
I enjoy coming here for the food and the outdoor seating (a huge plus: it’s dog-friendly). We dine here regularly, as the outdoor ambiance almost makes you feel like you’re in Europe. However, the service is consistently terrible, and the food takes painfully long to arrive. It usually takes about 15 minutes just to get water and 45–50 minutes for the food to be served. The waitstaff frequently forgets requests, and they don’t bring bread. It also seems like they are understaffed.

Cocktail bar
Mercury is a stylish bar and kitchen with a retro feel, serving craft cocktails, wine, beer, and modern American cuisine. It combines the comfort of a cozy dive bar with a contemporary twist. The menu features updated 60s-era small bites and an affordable wine list. The bar offers an extensive selection of over 350 labels, carefully curated wines, and seasonal cocktails. Known for its swanky atmosphere and friendly staff, Mercury is popular for its innovative bites and quirky drinks.
If you’re looking to immerse yourself in the holiday spirit while enjoying fantastic cocktails, this Christmas-themed bar in downtown Omaha is a must-visit. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere oozes festive charm—think twinkling lights, cozy garlands, and whimsical decorations that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a winter wonderland. The entire space is beautifully decked out in holiday cheer, setting the perfect mood for sipping seasonal drinks. The service here is exceptional. The staff is friendly, attentive, and truly knowledgeable about the menu. One standout is their Old Fashioned, which is hands down one of the best I’ve had. The balance of flavors is impeccable, with just the right amount of sweetness, spice, and a smooth finish that makes each sip a joy. It’s clear that the bartenders here have a real passion for their craft. Beyond the Old Fashioned, their holiday-inspired cocktails are a treat for the taste buds—expect innovative twists on classic drinks, as well as some entirely new concoctions that incorporate seasonal ingredients like cinnamon, cranberry, and nutmeg. Whether you're in the mood to cozy up by the fire with an Old Fashioned or want to try something new and festive, this bar offers a magical escape into Christmas cheer with excellent drinks and top-notch service. It’s the perfect spot to get into the holiday spirit and make some unforgettable memories with friends. Highly recommend!

I wandered in for a drink on a Sunday afternoon, having no idea how fabulous this place is. From the giant cured blocks of ice, the insane bourbon selection, the crazy good service to the creative and inventive Pokémon cocktail menu this place does not disappoint. The adorable female bartender is so knowledgeable and patient with the inevitable questions that come with the complex menu. Highly recommend!!

We wanted to try some unique cocktails, and this place did not disappoint. The appetizers we ordered perfectly complemented the drinks. The service was fantastic—energetic and attentive. Overall, this lively and fun cocktail bar in the downtown area is a must-try!

Really cool place. We came into town last night and were looking for a place to eat and enjoy a good cocktail. Man were we pleasantly surprised we stumbled into this gem. Our bartender was amazing and she made us a mean Old Fashioned with Redemption Rye. There were only 4 menu items available. We did come in the last hour they were open. But both items were good. The buffalo chicken dip and the charcuterie board were just what we needed to go with our Old Fashioned. But it gets better! They have a Pokémon-themed menu. I believe they do different themes every month. This was so cool. Definitely glad we stumbled in here! The service and ambiance were great! Please stop in if you are in this part of town!

Only problem I had was the kitchen closed before I got here at 10:30 pm everything else was great the pics I posted only showed a fraction of there huge selection of alcohol wow. There's so many different types of alcohol the bartender has to get on a stool to reach them all. I had an old fashion it was great. Will come here again hopefully when the kitchen is open

Excellent old fashioned. If you enjoy cocktails, definitely check this place out, tons of different liquors. I didn't eat, just had drinks.

Summer strolling through Omaha led us straight to this absolute gem. We spotted the rainbow “All Are Welcome Here” sticker on the door and knew instantly—this was our kind of spot. 🌈💫 Inside, we were greeted by two lovely bartenders who glowed with good vibes and walked us through their Pride drink menu (lucky us—it was the final week!). And then—hold onto your Poké Balls—the pièce de résistance… THE POKÉMON DRINK MENU. 🧃✨ Each drink is its own character, with the option to evolve. Yes, evolve. I wanted to catch them ALL, people! 😂🔥 We wrapped the night sipping on Lewis Hamilton’s alcohol-free tequila (because balance!) and swapping stories with the crew behind the bar. Mercury is magic. Inclusive, inventive, and full of sparkle. 10/10 would thunderbolt back again ⚡💛

Excellent food and service. One of the best gin and tonics I've ever had. House made tonic. The pasta dishes have house made pasta and are scrumptious. If they have the Tres Leches offered for dessert, get it. Not overly drenched and a very nice version of a great dessert. Fia was an excellent server.
