Arignar Anna Zoological Park (Vandalur Zoo) - a day well spent! I visited this sprawling zoo with my family, and we had a roaring time (pun intended).
The highlight was definitely the Bengal tiger- those piercing eyes and majestic stripes left us in awe. We also spotted a rare white tiger, which was a treat. The lion enclosure was impressive, with the kings of the savannah lazing in the sun.
The Indian bears were adorable, playing around. The giraffes were another favorite, with their long necks and gentle eyes. We enjoyed watching them roam.

One of the very boring place situated in the heart of Chennai City. Don't ever expect anything before you go here. May be good for morning walks and for young umarried & married couples. For me, Vivekananda House has always been a landmark of Marina Beach. I’ve been seeing this place from outside for more than 25 years, since my childhood, as it is close to my grandfather’s house. Whenever I go across Marina, this pink building always stands out and reminds me of its cultural and historical significance.
Though many people visit inside for school trips, exhibitions, or spiritual visits to learn about Swami Vivekananda and experience peace, the outside itself has a charm. Recently, opposite Vivekananda House, they have started putting up a big screen for open-air Tamil movie screenings, where the crowd sits together to watch evergreen films. The atmosphere becomes lively, with nearby stalls selling hot crispy bhajjis, ice creams, seafood like fish and prawn, fried rice, sodas, and popcorn – giving a true Chennai beachside vibe.

Kishkinta Theme Park Entrance ticket was 650 for adults and 490 for kids. Only few adult dry rides and kids rides and nothing special about the rides. All the rides were almost similar to the rides available in the local exhibition.So waste of money and time to go there to just play these rides.
Few water rides were there and pool was available. Water rides were good. Pool water was chlorinated fully, so everyone complained about eyes irritation and eyes becoming red.
If possible avoid Kishkinta, else if you are visiting take your own food. Restaurant was horrible, cleaning the plates near the toilet, cockroaches and rats roaming inside the kitchen. We made a mistake not taking the food with us. Since kids were hungry we were forced to buy food from the restaurant inside.
Good part is there was a skiing show where you can see the acrobatics in the water. Management could remove all the dry rides and make Kishkinta as Water Theme Park with less entrance cost.

Not recommending that much. I can assure you will not enjoy the place and can choose other park options. I went this Sunday first of all I parked my car outside of the parking zone still the parking person forcefully took parking charges. On entering I paid 25/- ticket but inside nothing I saw just a simple small lake and few trees. Very small and half of the portion of the park is closed and not accessible from the public. It’s only for daily walkers. The security guards were weird and was giving weird look making me uncomfortable. On asking anything they were very rude. Overall below average experience.

This place is on the ECR and on the main road. People coming from north Chennai, should be starting early. I advice people to be here @10 am sharp to start early and enjoy all the rides. That too on weekends it is highly crowded and you have to wait at least 30 mins for each ride. Area of this place is not huge to cover it as like queensland. It was good place. They have a good number of rides, but they are hell crowded. Please keep something to cover yourself from scorching heat. They have 2-3 diners. One of them is pure veg. When I was 4 years old, I first stepped into this park. Then on till I got married I visited this park. With my family I visited this park, but today I visited this park all by myself to watch Chennai Sangamam and try to recollect my childhood days memories of this park.
This park has a history on its own that during heritage walks you get to know a lot. With two openings as you enter the park, you will start walking on the pathway laid wondering where it is leading you to. During second round you start admiring the trees. Third round you look at the amenities while fourth round you will end up clicking pictures.
There are lot of seaters provided, while this park is a jogger’s, walkers paradise besides being a children’s favourite play area.
Coming out don’t miss out in tasting chaat and bhajjis in the evening. Yards away is Rangachari shop, while towards Luz 15mts walk takes you to Ganesh temple. Next building is Amrutanjan factory.
With advent of metro line, the road adjacent to the park is filled with traffic. So while crossing you should be careful.
Chennai Sangamam, book reading workshops, heritage walks, open concerts are popular in this park.
