⭐ Honest Review – Definitely not worth the price (8000 THB per night)
I usually never write bad reviews, but this time I really feel like I have to share an honest one mostly because I also trusted the photos and videos online and I wish there had been something more real before I booked.
I’m not a tourist visiting Thailand for the first time, I’ve been living here for more than a year, have traveled to many parts of the country and I know what good hospitality and Thai service usually feel like.
We arrived before check-in time and were allowed to leave our bags, which was fine. Later, when we came back to check in, things went downhill. The staff at the lobby could barely speak any English, which is quite surprising for a place that hosts tourists every day.
We booked their most expensive villa for one night (~8000 THB). This was supposed to be the highlight of our trip. It looked dreamy on Instagram. I originally wanted to stay for two nights, but honestly, I’m so grateful we didn’t.
When we arrived at our villa, the staff member just dropped us off and left without explaining anything. Most likely because he couldn’t speak English. The room itself was okay, but everything outside shocked me. The outdoor walls were dirty, the furniture looked old and unmaintained, the table was wet and damaged, nothing was wiped or cleaned properly before our arrival.
The bathroom and shower are in the same space, which means the floor is constantly wet even in the toilet area. It’s really uncomfortable.
Also, the reality and what they show on Instagram are completely different. They post sunny and warm photos in October and November, but it’s actually very cloudy, rainy, and cold during this time. That’s definitely misleading.
Inside the main room, the light kept flickering, and the air conditioner barely worked. If you come here during a warmer season, I can’t imagine sleeping comfortably.
They mention “afternoon tea” is included in the price, but no one ever offered it. I had to ask for it myself. When they finally brought it, the staff was about to place everything on a soaking wet table I had to clean it myself before we could eat.
Then came the “Thai BBQ.” They brought the food but no utensils or grilling tools at all. I messaged them to ask for help, and it took over 2 hours for them to reply and instead of asking what we needed, they only asked if we received the afternoon tea. So basically, we couldn’t really enjoy the BBQ because there were no tools. In the villa there also wasn’t any fork.
They also brought food to our villa twice (afternoon tea and dinner), but never came back to collect the dishes or leftovers. Everything was left outside all night, in the wind and rain, which looked very messy and unpleasant
The next morning, they brought breakfast and again, they wanted to serve it outside, even though it was raining, windy, and the previous dishes were still there, completely wet. We just told them we would eat in bed, because that was literally the only dry and clean place left to sit.
To be fair, the breakfast itself was quite big and tasty probably the only good thing about the stay.
This is not my first time staying in villas like this in Chiang Mai, so I have something to compare. Unfortunately, the hospitality here is far from good. It really feels like they get so many tourists every day that they simply don’t care anymore.
If you want to come just for photos, maybe it’s worth it during January–February when the weather is dry. But otherwise, everything is wet, cold, and uncomfortable. And honestly, the place already looks quite worn out nothing like the pictures online.
💬 Final thought: Paying almost 250$ per night is absolutely not worth it. The place has potential, but it needs real maintenance, care, and management who actually understand hospitality.
