Sure there were grill lines, but they may as well have tattooed that onto the meat considering the lack of charred texture. Bland does not even put into words how plain this was. Secondly, during our 3 night stay the staff was amazing all around. Rooms and shared rooms (like the library) are spotless. We were there for a Saturday night on Sunday morning they had a breakfast two items on the menu but plenty of buffet items to fill you up. They do tea from 3:00 to 6:00 with snacks it was a nice treat and the goodies were good. It's really convenient right downtown easy walking distance to everything. Parking's kind of tight as you'd expect in downtown. I wouldn't suggest this place for kids it's really for a couple looking for a nice comfortable quiet getaway easy access to downtown and things in Newport to do.

We originally booked this hotel for three nights at $1,300, expecting a boutique experience. The photos online are absolutely stunning, and the property itself has a lot of charm. However, the room we were given was tiny—barely 100 sq. ft.—and on the third floor up a very narrow staircase, which was challenging with luggage. The bathroom was so small that shower water spilled across the entire floor, and my husband, who is very tall, couldn’t move around comfortably. Honestly, if they had known his height, I don’t think they would have put us in that room. That said, when we brought our concerns to management, they handled it incredibly well. They refunded our full stay, minus half the cost of the first night, which we felt was very fair. Their customer service in resolving the situation was excellent.
