The lighthouse was the main attraction of course and it has signs to let you know how far up and how much further you have left as you climbed it. Once you get to the top the views and breeze are nice. The stairs are very narrow so you have to stop and wait or let people go by sometimes. But it’s not a bad hike at all! The rest of the sites are self guided and in old buildings but are maintained. Most have AC which is where you found the most people with it being so hot. There’s plenty of information and artifacts in each part you entered. Unless you’re stopping to read everything, the tour goes by pretty quickly. I highly suggest bringing water with you if you’re going during the summer months.

There are some quieter areas away from the crowds where you can truly appreciate the natural beauty and watch the alligators in their element. One memorable moment was walking across a bridge when the alligators suddenly let out a loud growl—we didn’t make it all the way across, but it was definitely a unique experience! Now, fair warning: it does smell in quite a few areas, which is to be expected with so many animals and the heat. Just be prepared for that—it’s part of the experience. It was extremely hot the day we went, but thankfully there was an air-conditioned area and a shaded spot (the theater) to cool off. For the adventurous, there’s even a zip line that goes right over the alligators—such a cool feature! Overall, it was a fantastic experience and definitely one for the memory books. Never seen so many crocodilians in one day. There are 26 species in the world and this place HAS THEM ALL!! For a small fort and a tucked away museum, this has one of the nicest and most interactive displays of all the forts in the area. There are videos to watch and colorful, illustrative displays with many artifacts to walk you through the history of the entire area and the fort. The boardwalk through the marsh was nice. This exhibit will only continue to grow, as they plan to build a scaled model re-creation of the fort soon. Not a bad time for two dollars.

I was coordinating this sunset tour from out of town, and they did an incredible job of responding quickly via text to ensure all of our needs were met as we were a family reunion spanning 3 generations. The day of the tour, we met them at the dock, and they clarified our requests, adjusting to and honoring our desires. Both Mike and Cindy did a wonderful job of sharing local wildlife, allowing us to view dolphins and birds, as well as the beautiful sight of the sun setting behind the St. Augustine skyline. Cindy was great with the kids, helping to engage them in the scavenger hunt I had brought. It was a delightful, memorable, peaceful experience to honor our matriarch, and it could not have gone better. We saw SO MANY DOLPHINS!!!! The tour guides were so friendly and great at their jobs. We learned a ton of St Augustine history but it was funny and interesting and not at all boring. Hayden was happy to answer all of our questions and even recommended local food spots and places for additional activities! Jenn got us extremely close to the dolphins and the ride was very smooth. They offered waters if needed and you were allowed to bring snacks and drinks on board! I definitely would recommend starting your trip off with this as they really knew the area well and were able to explain the best places to visit during your stay! Absolute must do, I really wasn’t expecting that much and they far exceeded our expectations. We will 100% be coming back!

When our waitress FINALLY arrived after 50 minutes of waiting all she said was that there was a miscommunication. Between the time that we were sat and our waitress showing up at our table 5 other tables had been sat, had their beverages and bread served, and had either ordered their entree or had their entree on the table. At this point we were hungry and ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer (told dairy free). The complimentary bread and alcoholic beverage came out followed by the appetizer. We ordered the shrimp and lobster risotto (not dairy free) and the Honey Dijon Basted Atlantic Salmon (told dairy free) entrees. Coconut shrimp were large. All the food was just okay and not worth the price. Unfortunately the food that was supposed to be dairy free was either cross contaminated or had dairy because we did not have a good next 2 days. Food was great! i rank their crabcake #1 out of the 20 plus establishments I've tried in Florida. Their bread appetizers are dangerous pumpkin & cornbread were so good. Their water was filtered too. Some restaurants just serve straight tap which can taste nasty. Stake fries are dangerously good. We tore them up. My kids devoured their hamburger and shrimp kids meal. Wife's grouper sandwich good. Pop's pasta was good. Their mixed drinks were good. Mom's dessert was good, I think it's the peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Price good.

We sat outside so we could see the water. It was a beautiful evening, the sun was just go down so we experienced a wonderful sunset. I always head first to the produce section. So many good nutritious whole foods available. I even picked up Broccoli Sprouts this time! I came in specifically for magnesium. The entire crew, Captain Dan, Martin, Emily, and Griffin were phenomenal. We had a smaller headcount on the ship which made it feel even more personal. We started the ride with complementary bubbles and were offered more/additional drinks multiple times. They are all very knowledgeable and work great together! We went in a Tuesday and the boat was almost empty so I would say it was a great time to go. It was very scenic and the best view would be from the top of the boat.
