I stayed in an 8 bed dorm, so yeah, nothing really special, but everything was clean and well taken care of. For the price you can't really expect anything better. While in Berlin I learned that this hostel is quite famous, and for good reason. It's an absolutely amazing place! The location is also absolutely top notch. An U-bahn station literally across the street (get the exit that connects to the M1 tramline, other exits are a bit further away) in one of the nicer areas of Berlin. 2 tramline connections on the square as well, one of which connects directly to Hauptbahnhof (the central train station of Berlin). So connections to both train and flight arrivals are really great. There's plenty of bars and restaurants all around and a great coffee place literally next door. Although there's also a cafe in the Hostel itself. Can recommend 10/10

Amazing common spaces- comfy lounge room and patio. Will definitely be back- out of 30+ hostels i’ve stayed in all over the world, this has been my favourite. Hotel is based in an old school and the building is absolutely huge. It was easy to find and is located in a neighbourhood full of clubs, bars and places to eat. The hotel has some great features including a pool, sauna, football pitch, garden area with art gallery, restaurant and beer vending machine in the lobby. The rooms were a good size and fit four of us comfortably. Shower and bathroom were clean and also a good size. Staff were friendly and very helpful with directions and also arranging taxis for us. Only minor issues were the rooms at the front were quite close to a nightclub, so you could hear the music through the windows. The bed was also a little on the small side. I would definitely stay here again though, and would also happily recommend to friends.

The bar was nice and location was great. The beds were nice and the rooms were ok. It definitely is an above average priced hostel. My biggest issues were that the toilets were clogged the whole time, and my charging outlet didn’t work. Had a weird experience with the lockers as they don’t actually open and are broken so you have to go the reception to get them opened. Despite the hostel being located above and accessed through a bar, we never heard any noise from our room and we were able to sleep well. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Me and my friend arrived a couple of hours before the check-in time but the staff let us complete the check-in process and gave us the key anyway so that as soon as “check-in” opened at 3pm we could go straight to our room and then they directed us to their locker storage area where we could leave our bags until the room was ready. We decided not to have breakfast at the hostel so can’t comment on what it was like but when we would leave the hostel during breakfast time everyone who was having breakfast seemed to enjoy it. I would definitely stay here again if I ever return to Berlin and I will definitely recommend it to my friends and family if they fancy a trip over :)

Auch keinerlei Schrank zum verstauen der Kleidung, so dass wir 1 Woche lang aus dem Koffer , die auf dem Boden stand gelebt haben. Das Frühstück soweit gut, jedoch die Sitzmöglichkeiten viel zu eng. Leider gab es Baumaßnahmen, stand zwar klein auf der Internetseite, das aber der komplette Aufenthaltsbereich im Erdgeschoss nicht genutzt werden kann stellten wir erst vor Ort fest. An einem Tag gab es kein Wasser, da wurden dann leider auch die Zimmer nicht gereinigt, so dass man am nächsten tag kein Handtuch hatte (Die hatte man ja vorher wie verlangt auf den Boden gepackt damit es ausgetauscht werden kann). Als ich dann eine Flasche Wasser an der Rezeption zum Zähneputzen erhielt, wollte mir diese tatsächlich zunächst auf die Rechnung setzen. Die Putzfeen waren ausnahmslos wirklich freundlich, auch das Personal beim Frühstück. Dennoch würde ich das Hotel zu dem Preis mit den Ausstattungsmerkmalen nicht noch mal buchen.

The staff super friendly to keep the bags in a storage locker if you wanna go somewhere before check in or after you check out. Sie haben auch eine eigene Lüftung die man in der Nacht auch eigentlich anhaben muss, da es sonst bei geschlossener Tür schnell zu feucht wird. The place is well kept, our (small) room was basically cleaned daily. The breakfast was nothing special but it was good to have that option. We did not have a hairdryer in our room but the staff kindly provided one when asked. The wardrobe could have used more hangers or more shelves. The noise insulation was basically nonexistent, we could hear everything from other rooms (vice versa I assume) and the lobby outside which was particularly bothering.
