Lol. There is an elevator on the other side, if stairs don't work for you. As soon as you walk in, you check in. Since it was my first time there, someone showed me around. The atmosphere is calming. Everyone was very pleasant. Arriving an hour early is a good idea, that way you can get changed and enjoy the jacuzzi, sauna, quiet room, etc. before your scheduled service(s). They have hot tea, water, juice, and apples. The bathroom and locker rooms are pretty cool and smell wonderful. I booked the Burke Williams Experience, and although it was relaxing, it was more of Swedish massage, and it didn't go deep enough for me. But my masseuse was great. One thing I would change: the quiet room. Although I understand that it's supposed to be "quiet", I feel it may be too quiet. Everytime a client moves, sits, leaves, you hear every creak of the chair. Every snore or conversation. It was convenient for me location wise so I tried it out and booked 90 min - with tip it was $200. When I told her at the beginning of the massage that I like a lot of pressure similar to a sports massage she told me that pressure causes deep tissue damage. It's hard for a massage not to feel good especially when you need one and this felt good it just geninely felt like this person was trying not to massage me the entire time and waiting for the time to be up. I got home and had all the same pains in all the same area and was even more agitated because I just spent $200. I tipped the 20% because I'm not a prick and understand the tip is part of the livelihood but I really thought about not tipping. I won't be going back and I would not recommend.

I tend to have dense and strong muscles, so I'm not sensitive, but this was something else. He must have confused muscle tissue with tightness; but regardless his feet shouldn't have been used. Deep tissue is something I always get and I've gotten it here a couple of times by hands. Nowhere in the fine print, nor on the menu did it specify standing on me. I hope this did not permanently damage me. Although they've refunded me, I'm worried about my health because of this situation. I've lost days now and incurred costly services to help me get by while I get better. I was very casually greeted at reception and told to go wait in a very lack luster meditation room. The meditation room is not clean. Oil on walls and stains on dirty couches. The setup is not advantageous either. The massage rooms are in another part of the building and you have to go outside (it was windy and cold) to get to them. When you get into the treatment room, you have to change in a bathroom. It's not comfortable or cozy. Also, a lot of oil is used but at the end of the service, it would have been nice to have my hands and feet wiped with a warm towel so it wasn't slippery. I would also suggest a better greeting when a client arrives. Maybe a warm or cool oshi bori or washing of the feet. There are lots of ways to enhance and welcome/departure of your guests. This was an okay day spa experience. Nothing elaborate and over the top. The therapist does warrant 5 stars though. She was incredible.

The rooms were nice, shower pressure was amazing. We were on the fifth floor with ocean view but the palm trees covered the view. Bed was comfortable, there was a deck from our room to the pool, live music at the lobby lounge at night time, free 2 hours bike rental at their sister property shutters, right on the beach, and turn down service. Cons: the bed was VERY high. I’m 5’2 and had to step on the side to get up, it was the height of my waist. There was also little room in between the bed frame and chair so I’d always bang my knee into the corner of the wooden frame (of course it’s bruised now). I’d recommend covering the corners with cushions or something to help prevent future injuries. We went to the pool later in the day and it was empty but there were lots of trash/plastic cups everywhere. No clean towels but almost all chairs had dirty towels on them. They didn’t really tell us about the amenities either. If the cons were fixed this would be an ideal place to stay at and rating would change to a 5 star.

After this I’m so turned off and will def go back to Burke Williams where they treat their customers with more class….

The 2 hour Blossom combo was intense and extremely effective. I left the spa with a much greater range of motion and a lot less pain than I have been experiencing for months. I thought this injury was going to take much longer to heal but after just one treatment with Lisa it looks like I’m on track to gain full mobility and start strength training again very soon, making this the most efficient and effective physical therapy I’ve ever experienced. I chose the Tomoko massage which began with a private soothing foot wash and massage in my room with some warm tea. Afterwards they have an in room shower where you can wash up before leaving. I actually never even saw if they had a steam room or sauna in the very small facility area because I was never given any information which I figured was customary when coming to a spa. With the price of treatments at Exhale I was in shock with the condition of the facilities. It was my bday weekend and I was treating myself so I attempted to ignore that and stay positive. Then the massage came. The therapist appeared highly intoxicated on some form of medication. I was really surprised that this was the therapist providing me with a $300 deep tissue massage but gave her the benefit of the doubt. 15 minutes in I just stopped the entire thing. I wasn’t going to be able to lay there for 90 minutes with someone just rubbing oil on me. No pressure, no structure to the massage, poor communication. It was just an awful experience. Once I stopped it the front desk girls had a bad attitude as if they were offended I stopped the treatment. Said they would have to talk to management about not charging me. I asked if I could speak to management and was told no. I felt like I was being robbed to be direct. There was absolutely no way I was continuing this horrible experience. My husband was there getting a massage himself which left me 2 hours sitting in the hotel room alone waiting for him when it was my birthday. I have NEVER stopped a massage in my life, no exaggeration I’ve probably received well over 150 massages in the last couple years. Please save your money and go off site if you want a good experience. This is not a spa and the prices they are charging people for the experience they actually provide is blatant trickery.
