We don't often do "proper fine dining" partly due to the cost, but also cos hubby prefers simpler fare. However, it being a special occasion, we splurged and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The restaurant itself is in an old (circa 1867) building and is charmingly rustic. The juxtaposition of perfectly set tables, gleaming glassware and snowy linens alongside the gleaming old timber floors and huge ceiling beams is quite delightful. Service was prompt, friendly and very knowledgeable (the descriptions of each dish as they were served was a very nice touch). Its a set menu with 4-5 choices each for entree, main and dessert with a couple of complimentary slices of ciabatta to start. We started with the Seared Scallops (hubby) and Braised Quail...both delicious. Mains were Baked Barra with Witlof (perfect!) and Pumpkin Risotto with Braised Rabbit (a tad under-seasoned and rather bland but the texture was spot on). We ordered the "salad" and its the reason for the 4 stars on the food. Don't waste your money...its ridiculously overpriced and it hardly constituted a "salad"...just exotic leaves on a plate with some salt and viniagrette. Desserts are to die for and a complimentary surprise additional plate (chocolate mousse cake) was lovely and much appreciated. Well worth a visit and whilst expensive, its not exorbitant and we'll definitely be back.

Everything went off without a hitch due to their dedication to coordination with all the vendors. The staff were so attentive - they made my husband and I feel so incredibly special. Thanks to Libby in particular who looked after us so diligently. The team keep the drinks flowing and we never felt like we had to ask for anything - it just appeared! The food was absolutely to die for, and we had many guests say it was the best food and drink they had ever experienced at a wedding. The venue is such a stunning place to be married and enjoy the festivities with your loved ones, even in winter! Our wedding day was a bit crisp, but the beautiful fire place kept us all very cosy. It is one of my very favourite wedding venues in the Hunter Valley because of the beautiful location, the facilities and most importantly because of the wonderful team that work there. Wedding ceremonies will generally take place in the fully air-conditioned chapel, which has huge windows that overlook the vines. So you will have a vineyard wedding, but in the comfort of a climate controlled chapel. The wedding reception also overlooks vines and has huge high ceilings with chandeliers. It is elegant and beautiful. The team at Enzo are lead by Mel and Aimee and I see them at every wedding, working so so hard to look after their couples and their guests. From the very first enquiry, years before the date, all the way up to minutes before we got married Steph and Daniel were the most amazing, hosts, planners, coordinators and just all around lovely people. We felt so cozy and at home in their cottage and the homestead was the perfect place to spend time with our immediate family (who also stayed on the property) before and after our big day. The Goosewing experience turned what is usually a two hour event into the most exciting and special three days of our lives. We barely had to plan a thing other than doing the fun bits like choosing colours and songs. They were also very accommodating of our extensive dietary needs, and any changes to our package that we needed. We recently had our wedding here and it was nothing short of amazing. The whole process was stress free and straight forward (exactly what we were looking for), and it the day was even better. Everyone who was involved made us feel so comfortable and welcomed. They even thought of the small touches that other places might overlook. Our 3 y.o especially loved the chickens and being able to go in to feed them and collect an egg. I was a fan of the clear night skies for star gazing. The only thing you should be aware of (which isn't an issue at all, or their fault) is that phone reception isn't great, but that's an easy fix with using messenger or whatsapp. If anything, it makes the property even better if you're looking for a peaceful time.

We loved the setting, which was both fancy enough to make it special but also relaxed and laid back and surrounded by nature and a place our friends would feel comfortable to let their hair down. The indoor/outdoor space provided us with the perfect combination of formality and frivolity and staying in the accommodation on-site meant being able to have friends and loved ones get ready with us – and to find quiet time for a mid-wedding costume change. The thousands of fairy lights created a magical atmosphere as the sun went down. On the day and the few leading up to the event we had the pleasure of working with Kal, Kookaburra Hideaway’s wedding co-ordinator and Margaret, the bar supervisor who really brought all the finer parts of the event together in a way that was seamless. They were both such lovely people who were so good at what they did and were also so kind and personable that by the end of the even they felt like friends. We couldn’t have done it without them. We purchased a couple of bottles which he keep chilled for us whilst we had lunch. Our two courses were part of our package and we also were greated with a complementary glass of bubbles. House - baked bread was quickly brought to us and we ordered our entree and mains and 3 sides to share. The Oysters were delicious, I opted for the mixed half dozen. The kilpatrick were my fav, as was the chimichurri. We also both had the veal cutlet which was cooked to perfection and was accompanied with asparagus, king brown mushrooms and delicious marsala cream sauce worthy of licking the plate. Our sides were also delicious and we packaged up what we couldn't eat and swiftly checked into our accommodation. Unfortunately, we could not fit in dessert and as it was our Anniversary we were celebrating, we were disappointed because often the chef's surprise you on a dessert plate with something of sorts in celebration. Also in our package we received 6 bottles of wine and a cheese platter. Excellent value. We loved our stay. The view was beautiful, the bed was comfy and the wine tour the following morning was educational and fun. Highly recommended!!

The food was so delicious we decided to come again with the in-laws. The flavors in every meal were outstanding! The deserts are a must so make sure you leave plenty of room. We had the Belgian chocolate tart, Rose Vanilla panna cotta (my sons fav), the Red Wine & Cinnamon poached pear was such a massive hit that we tried to recreate the recipe at home! The only ‘non-fav’ from all the wonderful food was the Gin & Tonic cheesecake but that was a gamble as we had never tried anything like it before and why not try new things when eating out. Also highly recommend the Tamburlaine Moscato especially for a celebration. We ended up going an buying a dozen for Xmas parties 🤣❤️We all loved how it was a smaller more intimate restaurant as it meant we could all talk without yelling and my FIL who is hard of hearing could also enjoy the conversation. Car park is at the front door with easy access to the restaurant for walkers or wheelchairs. The view is magical and the entire atmosphere has us wanting to come back time and time again. Overall, food was good but not great. However, the scones were one of the best I've had. It's deceptively crisp on the outside but crumbles away into a buttery and soft interior. The property is surrounded by rolling hills, an abundance of bird life and plenty of areas to unwind. Hayden, Meg and the team did absolutely everything to ensure we had the best day. It was ridiculously hot on the day (40c), they were so attentive ensuring all our guests were well taken care of. The food and service provided by Greystone and their catering counterpart was honestly 10/10 and a year later, often spoken about by our guests. The grounds and accommodation were immaculate and it's so nice to see the continuation of upgrades and effort put in to the estate that I've seen over social media. Absolutley amazing, having the beautiful Chapel, cocktail space and accomodation for 30+ all on site was exactly what we were after. The owners Micah and Denny were so accomodating and welcoming, from our first venue visit we knew nothing else could compare - we didnt feel like just another customer but that they were truly happy to experience our Wedding with us!. We're hoping one of our friends gets married here next just so can do it all again, we couldnt ask for anything better.

The reclaimed stone and timber in the function hall is stunning. The views over the dam with flowering lily's beautiful and the sunsetting over the horizon whilst sipping on a dangerously easy drinking Prosecco of theirs was all a lovely experience. Both owners were so lovely, helpful, easy to deal with and there till the end of the night making sure everything was perfect. 1/2 the wedding (most of the brides and grooms families ) stayed on the property as well as the bridal party for the weekend which made getting ready for the celebration even more enjoyable and relaxing. Emelia (owner) is the most amazing, considerate, helpful and kind person we have ever met. She constantly went above and beyond to ensure everything was just perfect for our special day. My husband and I knew from the moment we were shown around by Emelia that it was exactly what we wanted. A stunning restored ban with so much gorgeous deco already you don’t really need to add much! And the bridal suite is the best space for a bride to get ready in! So open and spacious with beautiful lighting! There is also so many stunning locations on their property to get married at including a wet weather option which came in handy on our wedding day when not one but two storm cells came over when before and during our ceremony! Moravia was the vendor we had booked the longest (over 2 years!) and Emelia was always happy to answer any questions big or small which made us feel really valued! Because of her and her team our day turned out absolutely perfect despite the chaos of the weather and it was everything we dreamed of! They are also so reasonably priced for a venue that has everything you could need. The Moravia park team went above and beyond for us and we will forever hold them dear to our hearts for that. Right from the start of planning, Emelia and Tom were such a pleasure to deal with. Even after countless emails/questions/phone calls, Emelia always responded so quickly and kindly.
