We decided to rent e-bikes from a local company called Paradise Pedal LLC, and that turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. The owner was so kind and helpful from start to finish. He went above and beyond to make sure our family had everything we needed for a perfect ride. We have a three-year-old and a seven-year-old, and he set us up with two great little carriages for the kids so they could ride along safely and comfortably. Not the place for my demographic the early day caters to retired locals and the nights by reputation implies high schoolers and college kids. I would try the Yacht Club part but would not return here.

The place is unique and fun. Theres many different levels and places to go inside so you definitely won't feel clostrop closer smothered. It's like we'd say back home a dive bar but that's not a bad thing that's the most fun and welcoming. There was a guitarist who was very good in the 1 section, the bartender we met she was super super cool nice older lady smiling and joking around with us and her personality was very warm friendly and welcoming. Im not sure if most of the people that were there was on vacation like us or locals but everyone seemed to be happy and having a great time. I cannot say enough good things. Captain Lynn was incredibly informative, interactive and made the entire cruise spectacular! His crew keep the drinks coming, are very attentive and so friendly! At the end, they will even take your picture against the sunset with your own phone. We saw so much wildlife! We saw a dolphins, egrets, osprey, laughing gulls and so much more! Captain Lynn made sure that everybody got a good view and explained so much about the area, the wildlife and habitats. I could not have asked for a better cruise or a better company to do it with!

The captain sticks to the back bay areas. There is a local pod of dolphins and our goal was to find them, which we did relatively quickly, thanks to someone with eagle eyes that saw them in the distance. Then, we basically just puttered around where the dolphins were. They were pretty active and we really enjoyed seeing them! Sadly, I could not catch any on camera, so I gave up and just enjoyed watching them. 🙂 We also saw some pelicans, which was really cool! They do serve beverages and snacks, so you cannot bring your own. I had the Blue Island Splash, which was quite good, in their souvenir cup. The do a tab and then you pay towards the end of the trip. There was a unisex bathroom on board. The crew were competent and very nice. Definitely recommend!

They have 3 bridges you can choose from to walk over. The Pirate ship was cool to see & sunset was fantastic place to view it.

So here is the review that I have now decided to give. Back in August my wife and I dined at Cobalt. I ordered a Fried Oyster Po-boy. When it was served to me it appeared to be way over cooked. The oysters were about the size of a small grape and cooked to a black crisp. I showed the waitress and she immediately took the plate and put in an order for a new plate. When it arrived at the table it was more overcooked than the first plate. It was inedible. My wife had the shrimp and grits which were also terrible. They were very soggy and tasted terrible. After my second plate of oysters was delivered to the table we never saw our waitress again. She did not even ask how the second plate was in comparison to the first plate. After 20 minutes with no service we got up and left. The manager gave me 10% off my order. It just added insult to injury. We will NEVER dine there again. And to tell me they could not sell me a cookie tonight because I had a water cup in my hand was just rude. We were literally 10 feet inside the front door at the cash register where the cookie display was located. Terrible Food. Terrible waitress. Terrible service and terrible management. If you want a really good meal then you must go to "The Gulf" restaurant just across the bridge from the Cobalt. The atmosphere is amazing and the food is ALWAYS amazing. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. At the Gulf they made an error on our order which was for a party of 10. Not only did they quickly correct the error but they also gave us and addition main dish for free. You will never get this type of service at the Cobalt.

The website claims that their menus are extensive. We found this not to be the case with the lunch menu. We ate our lunch on the patio and were joined by dozens of local birds. That swordfish steak was so delectable and tender… perfectly cooked I basically licked my plate clean. I wish I had taken a picture. Every time I go I hope and pray that swordfish is the special again, but it hasn’t aligned that way yet. Still, I am always excited to go here because all the food is so good. It was wonderful! The ship is a 53 foot catamaran. There are bathrooms on board (one men's and one women's). They serve light appetizers like chips and dip, soft drinks, and water. We went from the inlet to close to Gulf Shores down the beach. Then, turned around, went a little further than the inlet where the boat is docked, and then came back to the inlet. One note for if you are sailing with children - the dock leading to the ship has a rope banister but nothing between that and the dock. Boy was I wrong! Docs exceeded my expectations well beyond my dreams. I am local and a foodie and like trying different food establishments. Circumstances put us in the vicinity of Docs original Seafood Shack & Oyster Bar so we decided to give it a try. The service was excellent as the restaurant was well staffed and well trained. It was refreshing to see young servers and bus boys work together with enthusiasm and properly trained. It was like a smooth running clock ! We were there for 7 days and I wanted to provide our feedback. Pros: The location was perfect. The hot tub on the deck was one of our highlights. Even though they come in daily to check the hot tubs, they did their thing and were in and out. The hot tub was very clean. The indoor pool in the D tower was very nice. The water was warm and it was very clean. We did not use many of the other amenities due to the weather. Being in the D tower we only heard minimal noise from the construction. The room layout and space was absolutely perfect. The view was amazing. Cons: The unit could have some updates. The furniture is very worn, the pillows outside on the outdoor furniture had a lot of mildew and could use replaced as they stink. There are parts where the cupboard is falling apart on the bottom. The towel rack was broken and came down on one of the adults. When arriving we noticed that the drawer on the stove had not been cleaned and was full of crumbs. On one for the beds, there were crusty things on it and appeared to not have been freshly cleaned. It states that the kitchen is fully stocked. We had 3 steak knives and one large knife. There were only a couple of serving spoons and only a couple of small mixing bowls. It for sure could have had more especially since we are only a family of 5. It was challenging to cook and I had to use pots to store things as that was the only thing big enough. The microwave was so hard to open and we had to use a butter knife to push the button hard enough to make it work. The day we checked in we completed the form on the app as instructed and let them know of the issues but it was something we did not need addressed right away. On 12/28, our dryer stopped working. I filed the ticket on the app as instructed to do. It was 1pm that it was submitted. I did let them know we needed this fixed asap as we have wet clothes. I did not hear anything. I called them on 12/29 at 9:45 am and asked when this would be addressed. The lady I spoke with said that everyone is in a meeting right now and she will pass the information on asap. We left for the day and returned about 9pm. I thought maybe they fixed it. They did not. There was absolutely no communication from spectrum via email, phone, text or even a note in the room. No one came to even check it out even after having a direct conversation with staff. That evening I called them again. I spoke with Yolanda who was trying to look and see why no one came down. She could not get answers but did confirm that NO ONE even came to look at it. She said that she would have someone call me on 12/30 since it was late when I talked with her. It is 12/31, I have not gotten ANY form of communication from anyone from Spectrum. What makes me the most frustrated is there is absolutely no communication. We ended up having to wear dirty clothes and also take wet clothing home with us. We will never rent directly with Spectrum again and will go through Vrbo or something similar. There were absolutely no perks of going through them and we ended up paying more to book with them. This was by far not worth the money that we spent to stay there.

The facility is amazing, though one of the pools is currently closed for renovations and was not noted in the reservation. This united was rented at the same rate as others and we selected it due to it being a lower level unit. The cabinets’ are peeling apart, refrigerator has broken shelves, there are numerous missing or blown out lightbulbs through out. The master bathroom bathtub was under repair with exposed electrical wiring (not safe for small children, there’s sheetrock damage, master curtains’ pull is broken and the furniture in general is worn and outdated. We will return to Turquoise BUT NOT to this unit. Very disappointing.

Very pretty view of the water and Huge boats. The patio is very spacious and so is inside. They do have a few activities including 2 pool tables. Our server Eric was fantastic and never left us wanting. We did have to teach everyone the importance of not one tripping him but he was a good sport about it. I had the lunch special and chose the Salisbury steak with mashed potatoes and cinnamon apples. Everything was cooked great, the apples were a little thin for my liking but still solid. It had been damaged and they have done quite a lot of repairs and updates. I had no idea that they had started charging to go to the far end of the pier as that wasn't the case when I last visited. As a veteran I get free parking and also free entrance to the pier. I never saw any signage that indicated I had to pay to walk out to the pier but I did get yelled at for just walking out on the pier past the "commercial zone" and had to show my military veteran ID to proceed. I found it odd that I was somehow magically supposed to know that there was a fee or requirement to show my veteran ID when I never saw any sign to that effect. The lady that yelled at me came out of a door so she was inside where I couldn't have seen her so they should certainly add some signs that explain what they want more clearly to avoid weird situations like this. They also have a restaurant and bar here but I would suggest eating somewhere else. The pier does seem to be a decent place to fish and I saw several people bringing in some nice sized fish. Overall this seems like a good option if you want to fish off a pier or just enjoy the great view here. If I had to pay to just walk to the end of the pier I wouldn't have done that as you can get a good enough view from the "commercial zone" where the bar and restaurant are located. Overall this is an interesting spot to check out but I just heard they have raised the price of parking so that might make this area less attractive to visit.
