Love this place. It’s quite magical during Xmas with the gorgeous Xmas lights. Beautiful in the summer with lovely gardens. The golden teapot on site has a lovely high tea overlooking the gorgeous gardens. Quite a special experience. The gallery is great and they do some lovely festivals and events throughout the year.

Went there for Christmas event. Place was beautifully decorated with lights. Everything was glowing. Really fun place for kids. It was drive through event.. good option for kids in Covid season as can’t do much and was safe as you stay in car. It was free event so even better. It was quick drive though so if you are nearby it’s worth spending some time there.

It was our first time experience at camping and we enjoyed our time. The lot was big enough for our group of 35 and there was plenty of shade from the trees. We saw deer in between in the woods which the kids loved. There was a large swimming pool to cool off during the day when it was hot and they charged 2.5 dollars per person. There were small playgrounds around were kids could go play. The washrooms and shower rooms were clean and the staff kept cleaning them in between. Overall the experience was great!

Very natural and beautiful park. I liked that the campsites were pretty private and large. Unfortunately our site was mostly dirt but most I saw were grassed nicely. It was a fairly long walk to the bathroom compared to other campgrounds I've stayed at. The bathroom was cleaned regularly. The staff were friendly on check in and were knowledge when we had questions. I found the almost $40 charge for a second vehicle for 2 days excessive. The river was beautiful and my group greatly enjoyed kayaking 3 sections of it and swimming near the boat launch. I would definitely come again.

Park is largely well maintained with huge pool, picnic areas, sheds and a lot more. Adult fees are $9 pp. Enough parking spots and plenty of activities to do for kids and families. Pool area is big and there are always life guards on duty to ensure safety for everyone. Restrooms were nightmare though with poor hygiene. Strange you gave to go through restrooms to access the pool and there is no other direct access. So if you are carrying food, water and all other supplies you got to go through restrooms which was not a pleasant experience. Overall a decent place for a day picnic if you are travelling with family and kids.

Campsite we stayed at was great! Looking at the other campsites, they all were tidy and good sized lots. By tidy, I mean the ground was flat, there wasn’t a bunch of twigs around, and usually there were trees around to help divide each campsite to give a little privacy. There was also a fire pit at each site.
Campsite wasn’t too far of a walk to the restrooms.
The pool was fun for the kiddies, and included a splash pad area that was also a hit.
Trails were nice and easy to walk.
The check in area sells a bag of wood for $10.50, and ice. Not sure how much the ice was. It was $18 per car at the campsite I think.
The staff at the campground work until 11pm on the weekends, and were all friendly.
Overall, I’d return to go camping again, as well as recommend it to friends with kids.

Great space, clean, services all worked as expected. The lot was very large to handle our motorhome and roads were easy to navigate. Quiet place, laid out oddly, pool was quite far from our lot but clean and large. More like a wading pool style which was great for kids. They had essential goods for sale on site which was handy. We were there for a special event. Short Play competition and arts festival in the park. It was a wonderful day all round. The plays. The arts and crafts on display under various tents in the park. The variety of bands playing on the main stage. The great food trucks and beverages available were all tasty. I particularly enjoyed a meal from a caterer's truck of perfectly grilled waygu beef and shrimp on a skewer that was delectable. And of course the exquisite works of art hanging in the gallery. It was a perfect hot summer day for the first day of fall. Then we were pleasantly relieved of the heat with a cooling hail and rain storm. We even got to see a funnel cloud or a shelf cloud passing overhead. It was a breathtaking day of visual, audio, intellectual and emotional stimulation. Enjoyed by all.

I love going here for the Christmas lights. They have such a cool display setup in the winter months and it's not that expensive to come in and go through. Beautiful park with an Art Gallery. They have parking on the side of the park and also an inner parking going around the art gallery and making a right at the roundabout.
Unfortunately, Art gallery was closed and they said that in one of the week they close it to bring more items to the exihibit. The staff was very nice and polite.
The back side of the park where the inner parking is located has trails and they are interconnected to the other trails. There were picnic benches too where families could enjoy precooked meals.

I've been living in Brantford since October 2024 and rely heavily on the transit buses as I am blind. So far I have received nothing but amazing service from all the drivers and workers. The drivers have been very communicative and helpful whenever I have questions about a route or the call out system not working.
Aside from the drivers, I have met some amazing people from the community while riding the busses and have had some really good memorable conversations which makes the rides a lot more enjoy able.

I know dog parks are not for all.. but since bringing my dogs to the park, they seem to have a more fulfilled life. It’s odd but I think DogParkers know what I mean. If you like nature, you will love this area. OK, does not have the perfection of central London parks or many other European parks but is great from so many other point of views.
The downside is that even on my first walk here I saw a little colourful snake crossing my path, making me scream with surprise and there are signs warning you of ticks if you go away from the trail.
However, there are lots of beautiful wild flowers that I thought can be found only in warmer climates, there are lots of birds and dragon flies, also little froggies jumping near the path and the river looks very beautiful nearby.
There is a large green they keep cutting it all the time to play football and I was able to pedal my scooter to keep up with my fast other half all the way to the other car park located around 1 km away after passing a very scenic bridge.
And apparently this trail can take you north to Paris and further afield, or south.

Continuing on from Lorne Park, I took the tunnel unde the road to Fordview Park. It's a small park area with a single bench in it, but there are a couple more benches close by on the Trail beside it. It has a few flower beds and some mature trees for shade. There's also 2 exercise equipment available to use. It seems the lookout point and the Dike Trail bridge from the park are fenced off and unusable, which is a shame. It would be wonderful to view the Grand River from them. There is a small parking area off of Fordview Drive and the #5 and #6 buses go along Colborne Street past both Lorne Park and Fordview Park

This is a wonderfully well maintained and family friendly park. It has a lot of tracks, jumps, and skill sections. It has ample parking and is surrounded by nature and lots of large trees.
My 2.5 year old son really enjoys his ‘run bike’ (no pedals) and he absolutely loves the beginner pump track and some of the boardwalk obstacle courses.
It gets him outside and active and practising his balance and skills.
The City also does an excellent job maintaining this.
Helmets are mandatory and the rules are very clearly posted as you enter this fenced park.

Love all the former train bridges that cross the river and the history. Wish we still had the LE&N bridge but I'm glad we still have the TH&B and CN. The area is getting better and with the proposed entertainment district walks by the river in this area will give you a mixed city/nature vibe. The river is shallow but also dangerous in this area, a former dam after the Lorne Bridge used to be there and you can still see rock from it stuck in the river. Lots of interconnected bike trails in the area, a skatepark and a Waterpark.

We had an amazing Thursday afternoon at the Twin valley zoo in Brantford. I honestly wasn’t expecting much when we initially decided to visit. I assumed it would be a few “local” animals in a small area and not much else.
I couldn’t have been more wrong! The zoo was absolutely fantastic and we had such a blast for my daughter second birthday. The animals range from deer, pigs to TIGERS! And Grey Wolves?!?
The animals have huge enclosures and appear to be really well taken care of. The sheer amount and variety of animals was incredible and I can say with complete honesty that we had more fun than we do at the Toronto zoo.
The zoo is family owned and has been for decades, we learned. We had such a lovely day that we fully intent on coming back again soon. It’s just a shame it took my 30 years to find this place!

My Granddaughter brought her barbie with her. At some point she dropped the Barbie and my daughter's and I didn't notice. I was across the street picking up my afternoon lunch at the church afterwards I'd cut through the park enjoying the hot summer's day and seeing fellow afternoon lunchers all about the park also enjoying their day . It's a nicely shaded park with plenty of trees and benches to sit on. Lots of room for people to picnic or whatnot. Plenty of parking around the park no water fountain though , a shame I usually get thirsty in the heat a nice drink of water would've been nice.

Nice little park with lots of shade and some benches to rest on and watch squirrels or have a snack. Downside- it's surrounded by roads and next to bus terminal so plenty of traffic noise. Also best to visit during day time only, its located in downtown area so at night it's less pleasant.

It's a small park in memory of Alexander Graham Bell,the inventor of telephone in his home city, Brantford in Ontario.
4 km drive from the park across river Grand..visit the Bell homestead,the residence of the famous inventor.
Both this park and the residence will transport you close to nature.
Must visit both places if in Brantford and if you admire science and history.
