My original flight was cancelled due to poor weather conditions so I rescheduled the next available date which was Rememberance day. The pilots and other volunteers provided excellent information about the history of the plane. We flew over multiple Rememberance day services during the flight and experienced the excitement of banking into a turn. I've flown many times on commercial and smaller planes to northern communities but this flight will always stand out as unique with the rumbling roar of the piston engines and the bare bones interior. Would highly recommend to any plane enthusiast, a truly unforgettable experience.

The properties are very well taken care of and the village as a whole is so charming. On sundays there are costumed interpreters and many of the buildings are open. I learned so much! It is interactive and fun for all ages. I went for about three hours and it wasn't long enough to see everything. There were some crafting activities I got to take part in. The general store sells real snacks! (the chocolate chip cookies are really great). Many of the buildings here were used as filming locations for shows like Anne of green gables and Murdoch Mysteries. Learning about medical/ surgical history was my favorite part. If you're lucky you might even get to meet some very pretty horses as some people ride them through the trails here. There is ample parking and the roads are flat and easy to walk. Halloween is not just for kids..If that's what Westfield is going for ,you're going to lose out on a lot of money.. Most people who attended (at least on this day ) did not have kids. There were a lot of elderly couples, Middle aged adults, and even a few groups of teenagers. We understand you have time limits, but instead of bursting in and shouting at your employees in front of your guests, you could at least pull people aside to speak with them directly ,instead of clearly embarrassing them in front of the entire group... That's no way to act/treat your employees... Anyways, The pumpkin shooting was fun.. The free popcorn was a bonus and the tractor ride was wonderful as well.. We took a lot of great pictures! It was such a beautiful day! It's too bad the haunted house at the train station was not handicapped accessible for my son's walker.. He will have to bring his canes next time. I wanted to cancel my reservation but it was too late (You have to cancel at least 48hours before). So glad I was unable to cancel though. It had rained earlier in the day but there was no rain when we got there. The weather man is not always right. The Tew falls side trail is a moderately challenging hike. Lots of steep climbs at some points and because it rained, parts of the trail were quite slippery but overall it was a lovely hike which took us about 2 hours out and back. The high points of the trail are the Tew falls and Dundas peak lookout. Not much else beyond that. Things to note: 1. The Tew falls trail does not take you to the bottom of Tew falls. Getting there is via a different trail which is unmarked. 2. You need a reservation which gives you a 2 hour window. For 1 person you pay $26. 3. Portable restrooms are only available at the Harvest road end of the trail where the parking lot is.

All of the guides were great. The guides gave us great run downs on what to expect for each of the 5 courses, useful tips and tricks to navigate the hardest obstacles, checked in with us after every course to get our experience. With a ticket you get three hours of access to the courses. For me it was enough time to complete all the courses and had allowance for me to take several breaks between them. We had two age groups with us, so there was an adult with one doing the Discovery Course, and I took the older youth on the Aerial course. Our instructor Cupid did an amazing intro for us, and Frank was THE BEST guide out in the forest. The kids were able to get through 4 of the courses (with the exception of 5 only because of age). The games were really cool and had a good variety and level of challenge for them. They loved the ziplines too. Frank was there to offer guidance with the equipment and support when they needed it. For the Discovery course, our youngest had a blast! They taught them how to link up with the equipment and the basics of safety. They loved the course and had no problem with heights, which was great because they actually have a fear of it. All fun and games, so lots of excitement. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff from start to finish, so thanks for a great day everyone! If you bring lunch there were lots of areas to sit together and hang out. Parking lot not far. There were also drinks and snacks at the main check-in for sale. Lots of nature around too even as we enter the last month of Fall. I can't wait to come back with my partner for a date day next year. Would highly recommend to anyone who loves the outdoors and who's interested in challenging themselves.

Originally went for mini golf but they have great deals for all kinds of activities. Tour guide Claire was amazing and told the family lore of the McQuestens in such an interesting way. It was a good experience being there. Went in a weekday still it was crowded, maybe cause of the summer holidays, but it was fun being there. They have a huge wave pool and 2 water slides. Outside the area, they have a huge parking lot, but parking can be an issue on weekends. They have a snack parlor inside the premises but a food truck is there offering wraps, burgers, and pops. They let you out if you want to go out for the food truck then they let you in after you have taken the food. They have lockers that can be used to keep the stuff. I used a standard locker for $14. We were famished and ordered from Mel’s Deli - the sandwiches were hearty and flavourful. We ordered the saucy and spicy meatball hoagie and the not so hot cheesesteak, each were $19 and came with pickles and some kettle cooked chips. The sandwiches were hot, bun was super fresh and were loaded with various toppings and cheese. To pair with the sandwiches, you can order beer on top, canned beer or alcoholic slushies. I opted for a beer flight, 4 samplers of any of the beers they had on top. There are so many options that anyone can for sure find something that they’ll like. And to top off the fun outing, line dancing started at 8pm that Saturday and everyone jumped in! A side note for those with kids and dogs, they are all welcome on site!
