It was sad at one point, seeing how many businesses left this venue and moved on. Movie Java ended up turning into another coffee shop. That was the first time I was in this area again. They remodeled the venue. Added umbrellas and more seating. A lot of upgrades were made and it was looking really fresh. Thursday thunder was introduced on Thursdays which was a great way to get people here. Live music, restaurants selling food and vendors to check out. It was a fun way to hang out and be in the sun. I hope that the local businesses in this venue stay put. The pizza joint is so good! I survived hair school eating pizza for lunch. The Creperie has the best Nutella and banana crepes. Be Thai pushes out such good Thai food. I have seen too many local businesses leave this venue and we need to support them so that they can stay. I hope more adventures bring me into this area so I have a reason to be here. I want to be able to create more core memories at this venue now and in the future.

Mixed Greens is the ultimate go to place for the perfect gift. They literally everything in this store. You can not not come out of this store empty handed. There are just too many goodies here. I would have loved to purchase all of them but as simple it is to keeping succulents alive, I have a special talent for killing them. Everything was just so prettily placed and delicately staged. From cooking utensils to hand held fishing grips to gemstones, it was hard not to touch everything. You can literally spend hours in this store and still miss something. We snagged a couple things for my mother in law for mother's day. It's nice knowing that her gifts didn't come from your everyday store. If you're looking for a unique gift or a treat for yourself, Mixed Greens is your go to joint to hit up. There's a golf hat and a Carhartt hat that's calling my husband's name. Looking forward to purchasing these goodies for him for father's day.

I've always enjoyed the glass art they keep on display. Even more enjoyable, however, has been working with the staff to make glass and metal art myself. I've been gifted four Groupons over the years to make glass. Separately, on one occasion, a friend & I made metal roses through their metal working welding class. Their staff were always informative, professional, and enjoyable to work with. I always felt like I was in capable hands, which is important when working with things like glass and metal. What is really nice about the experience is you end up with some beautiful glass items to take home with you. I myself have a cup, a bowl, and two Christmas ornaments that I use. The only issue I can think of is parking can be difficult on busy days in the city, but this is an issue across the entire city, so I don't hold it against Boise Art Glass.

Tiarra was not just professional, but the best hype-girl! She has a talented eye on what works for a woman’s body and can clip and snatch the fabric to make it lay beautifully. We started with my pick. It was a lovely A-line with floral appliqués. The fit and colors were very pretty, but wasn’t feeling like it was “the one”. The second dress was a Tiarra pick. Figure-hugging, ivory, simple. Which I was surprised I gravitated to because I was envisioning non-traditional and colored. But, that was it. She knew me more than I knew myself. Tiarra nailed her selection and that was it. I began to do the “bridal pet”. I was gliding my hands along my figure curves and could see the best of me staring back in the mirror. I have never felt so beautiful! When we entered the viewing room, i knew that my mother also saw it was the one. Although traditional, Tiarra listened to my wants and was ready to take the dress to the next level. Initially, she suggested a gorgeous fall-colored floral veil. I am not a veil girl, but she pivoted and went down the rabbit hole with me to make it even more special. We turned the veil into a cape and that was it. Done. She knew exactly what I was looking for and what I needed and she was able to “play” with me in the moment to see the potential. Tiarra has a real eye for this and she knows how to be creative and think outside the box. I knew that was THE dress, but needed a minute to think. Tiarra was thoughtful, kind, understanding, and allowed me to process. She is not a salesperson. She is a human who respects her clients. I also didn’t want to say yes without my MIL present. So, after much discussion, I made a second appointment to come back a couple days later, with my future MIL, and mother, to officially say yes. I was so grateful for Tiarra’s understanding and guidance. Tiarra even tried to adjust her schedule to be present later when I came back. Although it didn’t work out for her to be there the day I said “yes”, I could feel her presence and her essence when I was in the dress again. My kiddo loves arts and crafts/ drawing, coloring etc. which is what led me to looking into a party here, and something different from classmates so kids aren’t attending the same venues. First, they were SO prompt in responding to me via email, and so accommodating to my dates/ rearranging my date after we booked the party. Ceramica was less expensive or similarly priced in comparison to other birthday party ideas in the area (trampoline park, Pojos, roller skating, etc) which was really awesome/ surprising considering the party guests get to keep their hand picked and painted item AND this is a locally owned small business!! They also don’t charge any other fees for the room etc, just the price per item and we got a custom hand painted birthday plate as a gift for having more than 8 guests which was so cute! They also let us bring our own food in and cake, etc. I had a price limit of $25 each child and felt there were plenty of options and all the kids went for those items in the store anyway so no one felt limited/ disappointed by by the selection.. if anything it was tough to chose because it’s all so cute/ wide variety. The party room is a nice size and it’s very cute, boho, relaxed feeling which I really enjoyed, it exceed my expectations all around. The employee gave some simple directions to the party and got each child their paint plates started and the kids went at their pace to paint their selected item. The 2 hour party was more than enough time for (9) 5-6 year old kiddos to paint their item and we served cake, had some snacks and still finished about 25 minutes early. Prices are on the bottom and prices already include the paint, and the time in the cooker. So it’s a flat fee. It was as clean as it should be for a pottery place which is PRETTY CLEAN! I just adored what I made so much. I fell in love with my little chef man. If you come here be prepared to spend about two hours! It takes 3 coats of paint in order to really get the color down! The cool part is, as the color station they have the blobs of paint associated with each number in the wall and the colors they’ll be if you only paint it once? If you paint it twice and the color if you paint it three times! I found this to be super helpful! These are also great gifts! My little chef was $15. And I think that’s pretty great considering they did all the work on making the ceramic piece then firing it to perfection! I’d definitely come here again! 10/10

It was a fantastic first impression that transformed into an excellent process, service, and product. When you first walk in, the shop is adorable - clean and very aesthetically pleasing. We were kindly greeted at the front by our stylist, Brenna. She made us feel welcome right off the bat. After a quick chat to discuss vision and getting to know me on a personal level, we were able to look at all the dresses on the floor (an option I didn't end up having at other places). While trying dresses on, Brenna was warm, caring, personable, and respectful of my desired price range. I loved that she didn't show me anything out of my range and never felt sales-y or pushy. The shop was so comfortable, with a great setup of curtain dividers to be able to try dresses on and see yourself in the mirror, before then being shown off to your group on the other side for their feedback. When I initially reached out to Daci, I was trying to decide between a gown that was fitted, and a gown that would be light, flowy, and able to billow in the Icelandic winds - the location of our elopement. Daci assured me we could create a dress that would suit everything I had ever wanted, and then some - and exceed expectations she did. Daci designed for me a gorgeous, fitted lace dress with detachable lace sleeves, and an overskirt with several panels of hand-dyed ivory and blush silk. At the final fitting we decided to add a bridal cape with the same lace as my dress and silk panels that were slightly more blush than on the overskirt. I felt like I had several stunning dresses - all built into a one-of-a-kind, custom dress, created just for me. Daci was incredibly kind, thoughtful, and professional in all our interactions. Since I do not live in the USA, we had to correspond through email and meet a few times over zoom to discuss the dress and take my measurements. When my mom and I flew out to meet Daci for the fittings, I couldn't believe how perfectly the dress fit me. You could tell it was literally made for me. I could have went home with it then and been absolutely thrilled with the dress.
