For our starter we had scallops and fish tacos, the scallops were cooked perfectly and the flavour of the hazlenut was a perfect companion with the succulant buttery scallops, however the fish tacos lacked flavour. For our entrees we had mushroom risotto and muscles, both had such vibrant flavours and were just the right balance for our palet. We were staying in the region and decided the menu sounded good, we had no idea it would be outstanding. The vibe is great, dark but you can still see the person on the otherside of the table. They don't pack tables in so it's not super noisy which is nice. Zac's service throughout the evening was really attentive and close to what you might get in a much higher priced establishment. The owners were onsite and so lovely and warm, great service from them. Cocktail game is on point! Wine list is per glass but based on a fluid menu of "whatever is open", i liked it and the glass of Pinot Noir that Zac poured. The food, my goodness the food. This was one of those rare meals when every dish you order is incredible. You walk away fully satisfied and recounting the flavours over and over! Highly recommend the Burrata, Sashimi, Orecchiette (our pasta was a touch over but the flavours - amazing!) and definitely get the brussel sprouts!!!

We met the owners, Mal and Mic, who along with their team treated us like we were regulars. Nestled in a quiet part of Kiama this little gem of a bar is well worth a visit. Plenty of parking. The entrance to the club could be improved as the signage isn't very clear as there is another business on the bottom level. The entrance to the club is up the ramp. Greeting was friendly and easy to become a member, took about 5 minutes. The restaurant area was clean no greasy tables and has table service. You can also order food and eat in the general area of the club. All meals arrived quite quickly. The food overall was excellent and well presented. Theyre cost cutting to the extent that even when they have a wedding or engagement party they won't turn the aircon on, even after multiple complaints, even in winter it just feels so stuffy due to no fresh air. Ive been to every sort of event here and the food is bad, the club is outdated and the diabled/parent room is small and shared and does not have a lock, you cant even switch the colour to red to show others its occupied, i was changing my baby and 2 people tried to come in, its a basic human right to be able to use a lockable toilet. They keep rebranding the kitchen but the same staff remain. Food at engagement parties/wakes etc is the worst kind of frozen food, they dont even shop quality party pies or sausage rolls, theyre the kind you'd buy in a box at the supermarket. Theres nothing fresh about anything ive eaten from the main club kitchen. There is a restuaraunt downstairs that is not run by the club, if you come here then your best off ordering food there, plus they have a better variety of drinks and they also have a nice grassed area for kids and a playground. Overall I wouldn't recommend this place & i only go there myself when I have to for an event and foe no other reason. I have made complaints in person but the staff dont really care and have openly told me theyre cost cutting.

We visited on a sunny afternoon and it was an exciting experience walking into the venue. Beautiful mowed grounds and expansive country views, with wonderfully kept gardens, and lots of games for families to play. Visited with a group of 7, and felt very welcome and were completely taken care of. Started with flatbread and croquettes, and was a great entry into what Dangerous Ales was going to produce. We received no reply… “I attended your club for the first time tonight. I live in North Nowra but my family visit Huskisson often. The purpose of our visit was to join a function in celebration of the 21st birthday of a family friend who has special needs. The first concern that we had was when the courtesy bus failed to show up at the collection point after being arranged prior. When it failed to arrive at the scheduled time we enquired at the bar as to when the courtesy bus was expected to which the bar staff advised “we don’t know”. The second concern we have was the fact that you are located within kilometres from two highly reputable breweries both of which offer quality craft beer and yet you don’t support either of these local businesses. Our third concern is your bar staff removing half consumed glasses of beverages that had been placed down while we were bowling. Some being picked up and stashed and others being thrown in the grass without identifying whose drinks they were or if they were finished with them. Our fourth and biggest concern was the absolutely abhorrent state of the toilet adjacent to the bowling green. Remembering this was a planned event for the 21st birthday. I have attached photos. This was the state of the toilet when we arrived. When we questioned the staff about the state of the toilet, we were told (in a very arrogant tone) that there were toilets inside and these toilets were “out of service” and yet, there was no sign to that effect and the door doesn’t even close meaning that the state of the toilet was apparent to anyone that walked past. I feel that the family that arranged for this function left disgusted and completely let down by the quality of the facilities and the indifference of the staff. As someone who attended the function I can safely say that I was absolutely appalled and will never return.
