My wife and I chose them as our venue in July ‘23, and were married in September of ‘24. Once we chose them as our venue, they gave lists of preferred caterers and recommended vendors in the area, which made our planning process a lot easier. There were some staffing changes because we had a long engagement, but Ellie, Cydney, and Becca were all wonderful to work with as events managers and made the transition in positions extremely smooth for us. Guests LOVED the museum, as the ceremony was in the garden, and then they were able to hang out on the terrace and explore the exhibits during cocktail hour. The lobby was a gorgeous venue for dinner and dancing, and our entrance on the grand staircase was unforgettable. We truly could not have chosen a better venue. The historic home and grounds are well preserved. I attended my niece’s wedding on a Saturday. It was held outdoors under a tent. Great place. So much history there. Every single person that worked there was BEYOND nice and accommodating. We stopped on the main stairs case for a few pictures on our way out and a sweet lady offered to get one of all of us. She actually got like, 4 of them for me!!! It was super appreciated that she just came up and offered to do it for us!! The ushers were great, even the security at the doors were way nice. Totally can't say a bad thing about the place except maybe that it could have been a little cooler inside.. Bathrooms were very clean. They also have some super old furniture in the hallways that is really neat to see... Definitely would go back for another event. Thank you, Akron Civic Theatre!!!

The menu features gourmet grilled cheese. I had the Smoked Gouda, Basil and Tomato with was very good. I also shared a bowl of Lobster Bisque with my husband. They are not serving beer right now because their license needs to be renewed, and something about the government shutdown is affecting it. There’s comfortable couches to wait on and then when the artist comes out you have plenty of room to dance, there’s also a private bar and the walk to the bathroom/water/food isn’t very far. I will definitely upgrade to the party deck again in the future…. So now I gotta talk about why I gave four stars. It stormed pretty hard before the show which left the cement slick, there was a wet floor sign but from our seats I saw AT LEAST 4 people slip and actually hit the ground and I can’t even tell you how many people slipped but caught themselves before falling. It worried me because I didn’t want anyone to get hurt. Please consider installing some drains or maybe finding some type of floor covering to help protect your guests when the cement is wet. This is my only complaint, I will definitely visit Blossom again!

We do not recommend taxis, Uber or Lyft because once the show is over there is no way for them to pick you up. You have to walk completely off property and find a pick up location. All of the roads become exits so they can't come to get you at a gate. It's a pretty long walk and traffic flow is not organized. You will be waiting for a long time. We had 3 drivers cancel our pick ups after we walked off property. It would be better to have a designated driver if your group is drinking and park on site.

I had to ask several employees, most were puzzled like I was the first to ask them such a question. YES! A water station! It should be illegal not to have access to ample water that’s QUALITY. The manager pointed me down the path to the only one, like a 40 yard walk by the restaurant. Absurd. The guy agreed and said they used to have one right nearby, pointed to a spot on the cement but they removed it. That’s insane. Darien center has a super nice water station with filtered water directly outside bathrooms. People are paying outrageous amounts for beer, insane ticket fees, driving several hours like I did, the least you can do is provide access to free water. Especially since they posted about heat advisory and stay hydrated! So please invest in that courtesy ASAP! I work in event planning and coordination and I’ve worked for the IATSE stagehand union setting up shows. These are musts. There’s no way ppl should be forced to buy overpriced Liquid Death canned water which has overtaken the live event market. It’s a weird company and I don’t like it. Aside from that amazing venue, the scenery is unmatched. I haven’t been here in 15+ years. Can’t believe the bands I’ve been missing! Bringing in Neil young? Doobies? Goo goo, then a whole bunch I missed like country stars, amazing. Will be back to numerous more shows. The staff is generally very friendly and helpful, it's a big facility, and there is plenty of room to find a quiet workspace. There are plenty of public events like free movie nights and meeting resources, like rooms for rent, for companies or organizations. In the summer sit outside, even down by the water. In the cooler months, sit inside the cozy main area or on the extended deck that is covered and heated. But the cornbread pudding pickles and caramel sauce its paired with is so interesting. This is a very interesting take on like a chicken and waffles. It's a great mix of sweet, savory, and acidic. The flavor pairing is exceptional. It is a very well conceived dish. It's only downfall is the execution on like half the chicken. I will say the airline chicken is worth it's price. The black pepper pasta is not. The black pepper pasta just isn't special enough to warent it. The crave martini is just an orange martini. It's good it's fairly balanced the orange juice isn't overpowering by any means and it doesn't read like a brunch cocktail. So I would say it's pretty good. It's also not overly sweet. Parking here is either street parking or one of the nearby garage. There is also a valet o option as well. Also be warned there is a 3% upcharge on meals paid by card.

It's an antique store, mini museum, and record store all rolled into one. They have a ton of interesting items both for sale and on display. Many of the 1 dollar records are actual grade A artists you want to listen to (just not in the best shape). The cars were really cool to see and the television wall was interesting as well. If you are in the area, this is absolutely a store to hit up. So much cool stuff here. My biggest problem here is from department to department there are students responding to emails and answering phone calls. They lack the basic understanding or even people skills honestly to interact with the public or answer questions. Maybe it’s because I’m 29, so I look older. I just feel like regardless of age, it was VERY difficult getting support here, or finding consistent answers. If you hire students for this positions, they should be taught how to give grace and empathy. Unfortunately I never got my IEP plan here just due to the frustration of not being heard in the mist of attempting to fix issues, so I chose to not re enroll. I will say, they WILL fix a problem, but all the hoops and holes you have to jump through is ridiculous. I’m mentally exhausted. Being an older student returning to school after so long, I would think they would have some type of support group or something in place. I felt very lost and alone here. The underlying shame of having to return to school surrounded by young adults is already overwhelming, but to receive shameful looks or consistently deal with passive aggressive attitudes is a lot and makes the shame worse. I wouldn’t recommend main campus at all. Wayne campus is smaller, everyone is more helpful, and they help with a smile.

Not all of them are kept up the way the should be but most of them are absolutely stunning. Virginia Kendell, the ledges in Twinsburg are probably two of my favorites! If you enjoy photography, art or writing then these two locations are great for capturing some inspiration! A nice (more secluded) park is the O'Neil Woods in Bath, OH. I didn't get to explore both paths yet but the "Trail Lot" was quiet, had a cute little creek , clean and peaceful. Hands down, Summit offers some of the better parks I've visited and are definitely worth the trip :)
