My parents and I went with my 11 month old twins for the basic tour. It was $18 a person. There were several other people there and I had to carry the babies because no strollers or anything are allowed in the house due to all the antique furniture and stuff in there. The tour guide was very informative, my parents said upstairs and downstairs was really neat. I missed most of the tour but one of the employees was really sweet and gave me a little booklet thing so I could read and look at pictures of what I missed. If you pay for the basic tour you can still walk the grounds to see the garden, slave house, smoke house, spring house etc by yourself. The ground was hilly and bumpy so I wouldn't recommend pushing a stroller on it. Everything is maintained well and there are several signs explaining what things are. Right next door is the Confederate and McGavock family cemetery (including some of the slaves). The cemetery has several signs with information about it. Pretty sad past but very interesting. There's also a gift shop there where you buy your tour ticket. I wouldn't suggest bringing any small children here because they will be bored and it will be a struggle keeping them from touching things. Anyone handicapped would have a hard time you with all the standing and steep stairs to go upstairs plus all the walking outside. They have bathrooms right by the gift shop that were mostly clean.

We attended Pilgrimage Music Festival here. The farm itself was great... but my biggest obstacle was the lack of accessibility. Overall, bumpy grass fields, gravelly roads, roads that were originally paved but have since noticeably deteriorated--seriously painful and challenging for anyone using a wheeled mobility device. It's a large farm, which is good in that you can fit in a lot (three performance stages, countless vendors and food options), but it's also a lot of ground to cross. I was exhausted by the time I got from the street to inside the front gates. The farm is great if you're fully able bodied. It's very charming and the perfect area for events. If that were the case for me, I'd give it five stars. But if you have any mobility issues, here's your heads up. Don't go alone. Have someone to help push or pull you, or someone who can go get you things while you stay in one place. (If you're in an electric scooter or wheelchair, you're probably fine? The final stop is Cherry Manor probably the most haunted places in Franklin! Alicia shared photos that people from past tours had captured and shared with her. We we able to seat right away and the service was fantastic. We were slightly disappointed with no music but ultimately after a weekend up north, that ultimately may have been a good thing. Greeted quickly and decided on outside seating. The inside is definitely country store decor. Plenty of seating options also with a full bar. Bathrooms are found way in the back around the side of the kitchen. They were quite busy. Not sure if they take reservations but likely. Doris was super friendly and knowledgeable and did a great job taking care of the ordering also taking time to chat. The pancakes were perfectly light and crispy around the edges. Sausage was tasty and delicious. Scrambled eggs were good too. I requested a biscuit with brisket just because I wanted to taste their brisket. Well, they didn’t have any more biscuits, but they did comp me with a brisket sandwich and it was quite good. Woke up the next morning and just had to go back! But this was probably one of the worst places I have eaten in Franklin or the Nashville area!
