Parking a bit tight when busy. Pub is nice inside with plenty of tables. Toilets are reasonably clean. Okay lets do the niggles first - You have to queue to check in which is about as slow as checking in at the Airport, this needs to be changed, especially for people who struggle to stand for long periods. The person checking was even showing people to their tables, when there was at least 5 staff standing around in the bar area?? You can help yourself to the rest which includes fresh vegetables, stuffing, roast parsnips, roast potatoes, onion gravy and normal gravy and condiments of mustard, mint sauce , cranberry sauce. Maybe we just visited at a peak time but it was to much standing around. The food was okay, the roast parsnips were nice as was the stuffing, but the Yorkshire had no flavour and the roasties were lovely cooked but not too much flavour either. For those with a large apetite, you can certainly get your fill here. Would we visit again - probably not based on all the standing around and trying to check in. Also please clean the ashtrays, they are disgustingly dirty.

He was very accommodating as to how we wanted our meat to be carved. 5 star from my partner and our daughter. The veg was a little disappointing, but still good. The Yorkshire puddings were massive and the crackling was not chewy and the crunchiness we have tried. Plenty of sources topped up. The staff were vigilant and fast with the drinks and the bill. We visited during half term day time and the place was packed. I would like to reach out to the manager about the ladies bathroom. The doors were heavy for older people to open and the toilet roll dispenser was very hard to use. I struggled to get the paper out and waited for the elderly lady I helped open the door to finish as she was finding it very hard. The bathroom was clean. I noticed that many older people visit during the day when we have eaten here before and I hope this issue can be resolved as mentioned above many of your patrons are older and I am sure they also struggle. But as soon as I saw their inflatable nightclub I knew I wanted to have a party for my 40th birthday. I hadn’t even considered it before I saw this. A nightclub at home, I don’t have to leave my house, I get to control the music and what time it ends?! Perfect! From my initial enquiry, they got back to me so quickly, even late at night. They answered all my random questions. My garden is a bit of an incline and I was worried that I wouldn’t actually be able to have it at all. I sent them pictures and they assured me it would be fine. The other worry was my husband’s precious lawn. So they put down extra protection and thankfully after it was dismantled it wasn’t that bad. I asked how loud the speaker would be (base wise) and they quickly came back to me with the information. I was worried about my neighbours (but I did send them little notes beforehand to let them know there would be loud music and noise). The speaker was excellent and, gave really good sound. It could go so loud but I think I managed to keep it fairly respectable to my neighbours. I had the curtain up most of the day so it was great as a louder than normal background so we could all still hear each other talking and then later on I did put the volume up for dancing and the curtain down when we were inside it. They contacted me on the morning of the party to say they could come earlier if I was available, which was perfect because I had so much to do and it was good to get that done. The set up was so quick and they were really lovely. They showed me how the speaker worked and what needed to be done at the end of the night to turn it all off. It was supposed to come with a smoke machine but they couldn’t get it working. They even went down to the local DIY shop to try and get another one. They were really apologetic, but honestly it really didn’t matter to me because all I wanted was the music. They did give me £20 back, which wasn’t necessary but kind. I also hired a big light up 4-0 which looked so good. Everyone was absolutely blown away by the nightclub and thought it looked so good! It came with a red carpet too which really did set it off. We all had such a fab time dancing away in there! The next morning I was up early to clear up and I messaged to see if they wanted to come earlier and they did. The clear down seemed to take less than half an hour and just like that it was all over! I would 100% recommend this company, from start to finish and in between they have been fantastic!
