Friendly staff and the lifeguards we're doing a great job watching the pool. My kids are 12 & 10 now so no issues however I did not see the lifeguards telling the other parents that they had to be in the pool within an arms reach of their kids like they did to me 5 years ago so they must have new intelligent management. The pools were clean and crystal clear. The big pool has a water slide that my kids loved. The toddler pool was a great combination of a pool with splash pad perfect for toddlers. The view was beautiful overlooking the Bedford Basin. I highly recommend this pool complex now! I was there with 2 kids (7&5) in the summer of 2016 for the first time ever. The lifeguards wouldn't let the 7 year old swim in the bigger pool unless I was in the water swimming with him. He had a life jacket on plus he has been in swimming lessons since he was 8 months old and is a really strong swimmer. The 3 year old was not allowed in the toddler pool unless I was in this pool with him as well. Another parent overheard me trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do when they each want to be in 2 different pools? A thoughtful and helpful parent overheard the discussions between the lifeguard and myself and said he would be in the bigger pool and could watch my 7 year old for me too but the lifeguard said no to this as well. She said it had to be the parent supervising or the official guardian only. The big pool is only about 6 feet away from the toddler splash pool so I told her I would be able to see the 7 year old clearly however she said no I had to be in the water within an arms reach of both children There were about 6-8 lifeguards between both pools as well so idk what the problem was. Maybe there was a serious incident that happened there in the past or something but either way it was a very frustrating afternoon and I'll never be back.

It was a great price for the activities that they offered. The staff that we encountered were friendly and they did have quite a few picnic tables to enjoy lunches/snacks. We did have an issue on the green and white water slide. My daughter was told by the attendant to go down and it was too early. The person at the bottom did not exit the slide and my daughter ended up crashing into her. The lady she hit into fell backwards and hit her head and both of them got a bit of bump. No one was seriously injured but this could have easily been avoided if the attendant was doing their job properly. The bathrooms by the water slides were very under staffed. It took me 3 different stalls to find one that was “okay” to use.

My father and I swim there every night. The place has recently got a more competent manager and the food selection and service aswell as the quality is increasing although I don't dine there. Club is good only in summer though as there are no winter indoor pools or activities which would be useful. Previous management though some had been good was often money saving which is a sensible idea although the place was considered 10 years ago one of these upper class clubs with poor overpriced food and very seasonal use and to many was either not worth joining or keeping the membership and this caused managers to have to save money on the facilities. Though improving lots could be improved however for year round service. For tennis however one may get more of the year when it's feasible other than swimming as one can avail of cooler weather for it. Also this club is much cheaper than it would be in a larger city like Toronto or New York or somewhere else in the world as this is Nova Scotia. I would try to make it more year round compatible though than it already is

I recently went here with a friend and her small kids and I was pleasantly surprised at to the wonderful upkeep they have kept up with for this facility. Freshly painted and clean pools. A fun water slide in the deep end of the bigger pool and a nice diving board. A canteen work drinks and treats for a very fair price. The entrance fee is perfectly reasonable $5/kid - children under 5 are free. The tennis courts are freshly painted as well. They still have "teen nights" on Tuesdays and Thursday nights which is awesome! My kids made so many great friends through this facility over the years! So happy to see it looking so great still.
