The staff were so warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful, you can really tell how much thought has gone into creating such an engaging and inviting space. We started with the olives and house made hummus, which were both absolutely delightful and presented in the most beautiful bowls. Tasted as exceptional as it looks. For mains, we had the pleasure of trying the tomato based gnocchi and the pesto gnocchi, both were incredibly soft, light, and full of flavour. Lovely coffee and the kids LOVE that Padre make the BEST babycinos….thank you so much for catering for the kids, too. My wife and I ordered the calamari, scallop, prawn ravioli as entrees to share. The clear standout was the calamari as you could cut it with a dessert spoon sideways. So soft. Best calamari I have ever eaten. The scallops were cooked nicely as well and presented fine however the sauce didn't mix well with my pallet. The prawn ravioli sauce was stunning. The only let down was the bowl was cold so the ravioli wasn't warm. For mains we shared the seafood pasta and pork belly. Both dishes were great however next time I might entertain ordering a whole fish. For dessert we had the sticky date pudding to share. My wife and I were fighting over it as we wanted it to ourselves as it tasted that good however our belly's were full. I was going to give the food a 5 rating but there were a few items that could be ignored The service was flawless. Our waitress was attentive and assisted to our needs as we had a baby with us.

And yet, I found the dinner so much better here in every way. The breakfast is order at the counter and for what you get, it's pretty pricey. The spanner crab omelette seems to be their best selling breakfast dish and it was good. At dinner you get table service and I found it to be much better value value. Everything we had was just delicious; the tasting plate to share for starter, the salmon and the Laguna bowl with rice and waguy beef. I'd happily come back for any meal but definitely for dinner.

Really relaxed and inviting atmosphere. Plenty of DF and GF options - it is so rare to find a sustainable, organic cafe in Queensland executed this good. We prefer to sit at the bar and watch the cocktails being made. The cocktails are amazing .. the twighlight Margherita is superb. We started with oysters and honestly they were the best oysters I have ever had, and I’ve had a few! It came with a generous assortment of crackers, fruit toast, quince paste, fig and even raisins. Such a perfect way to end the meal. The setting was stunning. We booked a table for 4.30pm which was the perfect time for the sunset. Sitting by the window as the light changed was just beautiful. Inside, the atmosphere was warm and elegant with soft lighting from chandeliers creating such a relaxed and special feel. The staff were brilliant. So kind and attentive, constantly checking in to see if we needed anything, topping up waters and even lowering the blinds when the sun was a bit strong. Service was flawless and made the whole experience even better. It’s easy to access and there are plenty of tables, though it does get busier later in the evening. You can also get a ferry straight from the restaurant to Hastings Street which is such a fun touch, although we missed the last one when we left around 6.30pm. Yes, it is on the expensive side, but you can see exactly why. The quality, the atmosphere and the service are all worth it. We will absolutely go back. In fact, we loved it so much that we booked our parents in for the following night because we knew they would love it just as much as us.

The highlight for me were the staff. All of them were friendly, well presented and obliging. They had just started a new menu, on the evening we dined, and I felt that the staff genuinely cared about the food, experience and atmosphere. I had the lamb and it was fantastic. The tables were set in a simple and sweet way; representing the overall atmosphere of the space. I can’t wait to visit again and to try the degustation menu. It’d also be a great spot for a date or for a more intimate evening. Sadly it’s not wheelchair accessible from what I could see. Parking is ample but it can be difficult to get a spot between 5-6pm as people enjoy walking along the river after work etc. There is a vegetarian friendly section to the menu and a small selection of yummy desserts.

Dined here for brunch and on another occasion for an early dinner. No awkwardness here when dining solo. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating and made me feel completely relaxed. We went to Grind Cafe for a "quick" coffee and breakfast after a nice run on the beachfront. They have nice seating overlooking the water. Unfortunately that is where the niceties ended. After we ordered I heard the staff telling some people that there was a 30+ minuite wait for food, but not everyone was told this, so communication was poor. I ordered the avo and eggs and my partner ordered the Eggs Benedict. The food was tasty once it came but on the menu the avo and eggs says it comes with 2 slices of sourdough but when it came it was one slide cut in half. Disappointing but good potential.
