I grew up serving on the west coast of Florida and love to play tourist when I visit my old college town. I dropped in for a beach lunch with friends. The views are obviously incredible, the drinks were good albeit pricy (like all tourist traps), food was solid but not stellar. The mahi and grouper sandwiches were perfect, the seafood platter was delicious. The crabmeat stuffed mushrooms were soggy and liquid filled though and the Cleveland oysters were overcooked and tough. We arrived to the restaurant we had requested an outdoor seat on the reservation however the weather had plans of its own the hostess asked us if we wanted to move inside and we said yes, she was very polite and quick to get our table together. I took my wife here for our first anniversary and I have to say Hyde parks staff went above and beyond to make it memorable. We arrived to a table covered in flower pedals and a nice candle with an amazing view. They also left a card on the table signed by all the staff which we thought was pretty amazing. The food was amazing, i got the surf and turf which was just amazing the fillet minion just melts in your mouth, my wife got the cheese burger which she said was the best she’s ever had. Then came dessert, they gave us a special dessert for our anniversary which was amazing then we proceeded to order some others the crème brûlée was amazing just a silky smooth vanilla bean flavor with a caramelized finish it’s the best. The staff was so professional and kind. We had a group behind us that was a little loud and slightly disruptive when singing happy birthday and with there conversation in general, however we were very impressed with the staff for not treating them any differently as they where paying customers as well and deserved the same treatment as everyone else there. We are definitely not the type of people that goes to restaurants like this regularly, and we’re very hesitant to go afraid we would be judged and treated differently, however the staff made us feel very warm and welcome. We will definitely be visiting the restaurant again as there is one in two of the cities we have vacations planned to.

The interior wood panels and trim are gorgeous and the stone flooring looks great but the food wins the day for sure. I enjoyed several meals here and the staff are very friendly and pleasant. Starting with the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad and unsweetened tea it was fast and delicious for lunch. The next day I enjoyed the grilled grouper with spinach and rice. Wow it was awesome! It was on a Sunday night, an hour before closing time and the restaurant was surprisingly empty (only four other customers). We were hesitant at first, but decided to proceed. So glad that we did. My son dropped his cell phone between the booth seat and the wall. It was almost impossible to get it out. That aside, we were trying to get my in laws to try some new places and Cheddar's looked right up their alley(they like Cracker Barrel but have had some bad experiences lately). We checked out the menu online and they were down. Our wait was long and this was after we had reserved online. Again, staffing issues on New Year's. Once we got seated our server was great and basically saved our entire evening she explained the staffing and timing issues and apologized multiple times. We were looking forward to onion rings....they were out. They did have drink specials whoch are 100% worth it. The food we were able to get was very enjoyable but the dessert was too sweet/rich for the table so we ended up taking it home. The best part of the service was that our server found my father in law and walked him back to us from the bathroom which was pretty far away. He does have trouble getting around so we will always remember her doing that. All in all, the in-laws found a new place and have been back a few times since we visited around the holidays. We look forward to visiting this one and maybe looking around our area back home.

After we complained, they asked if we had breakfast coupons, and we said yes, but we were told that they're for tomorrow. They said bring them, we'll redeem them now and refund our money. We arrived and I liked the vibe of the space. Seating is comfortable, they have different seating options, an indoor and outdoor bar. There was no live entertainment on Monday night but there were stage areas inside and out and I can see this being a really fun place. Our drink orders were taken promptly and arrived a short time later. The same person did also take our dinner orders and they had agreed to do individual checks prior to our arrival (and got the check right including drink orders at the end of the night). Where there was a breakdown was after our dinner orders were placed. Food arrived to the group over a 40 minute window. My steak had been cooked perfectly but had dried out being kept warm. The expensive fish was an increasingly small portion. The presentation on the plates was excellent but it seemed the kitchen had been overwhelmed. My brother had the Nacho's that was $20 it was a plate full of chips out of a bag with nacho cheese and some meat was supposed to have chili on it but the only only sign that there may have been chili on it was a few red beans. his wife had the fish and chips she said the fries were okay but the fish was frozen fish and it looked more like fish nuggets and only had 2 pieces that was $16 soft drinks and tea were $3.50 each our total bill minus my food that was sent back and a $10 credit on the nacho's the total was $58.58 We were originally going to Joe's Crab Shack but my sister in law is allergic to shell fish the amount of the bill is not an issue the issue is they over charge for food that is not even subpar and McDonald's would have been better. After we paid we left and went else where to eat. i DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. The only positive thing about this place is the theme, it is great for photo's but even with that said it could use some updating. I will never go back even if it was the last restaurant on earth. If you go it is at your own risk.

I am hugely disappointed with no beach access. That almost stopped us this time to go, but I insisted. Doesn't it seem ridiculous to have to leave the beach by car to get a bite to eat there now? That's a very poor decision that will keep many from going for those extra drinks and sandwiches They've now made it a destination with poor parking, rather than apart of the beach goers... and it feels off. From start to finish, our server, Maggie, always had a smile on her face, was attentive, and overall a kind individual. She always made sure our drinks were filled, and bellies were full. Our first time in and it looked updated and modern from the outside, located in a newer strip mall. Inside was homey and quaint and cozy feeling. Boyfriend said hamburger was good. They do upcharge for cheese, and fries around $5. So you only get the burger and "chips" for 9$. The country fried steak, gravy and over-easy eggs were really good, but the grits were a HUGE disappointment. I can't tell you how many times I've driven past this restaurant, not realizing it was open for courteous and friendly when taking my order. Now, this establishment only serves breakfast and lunch items. They close at 2 pm, and all the menu items looked appetizing. Within another five minutes, we had them in front of us! And remember, this place is packed! My boyfriend ordered the monte cristo with onion rings and I ordered the firecracker shrimp on cilantro lime rice with avocados. The Monte Cristo tasted like a donut with ham and it came with the raspberry dipping sauce.... Let me just say.... fantastic. Probably not very healthy, but sometimes you gotta live a little! My healthy choice of the shrimp with cilantro lime rice was so fresh and delicious. We come to Daytona for bike week and jeep beach every year and don't know how we missed this place, but it is absolutely going to be on the list of places to frequent every time! The food only got four stars because I was not a fan of the thick crust on the onion rings, but Fords Garage is a big winner!

I came here for wings bc my daughter just had to have them. We were greeted immediately with a smile and kindness from Miss Pumpkin. She was the real highlight of our dining experience. It seemed to have decent reviews, so we gave it a shot. We arrived and at peak dinner time on a Friday in a vacation spot (8pm ish), there were only 3 or 4 total tables with guests. This should have been warning number one. We pressed on. Husband and I decided to do the buffet sight unseen, as it had pretty decent reviews. There were only a few dishes available when we approached the buffet. There was a salad bar with all the normal stuff, some seafood salad, and I believe one or two other sort of very typical things. I tried the seafood salad. It was cold, but there was so much horseradish it was nearly inedible. Despite all the “dressing” on it, it was still dry; almost as though it had been sitting out for a while and was unstirred. Moving to the hot dishes, the Mac and cheese was really the only decent thing, if I’m being very blunt. The mashed potatoes were dry and lukewarm, the lemon roasted chicken was cold, the seafood boil with shrimp was cold, the prime rib being freshly sliced was freezing cold (no heat lamp on it), braised ribs that were room temperature at best, and there was only one other seafood dish - a cold tilapia. I have never (until this day) not paid for something at a restaurant when I ordered something and didn’t like it or it wasn’t properly cooked. Under any other circumstance, I’d have had the server ask the kitchen to make it again or something, or simply pay for my meal and never return. However, this was so awful it was inedible. The temperatures for the food weren’t right, the food itself was not great, and the food as a whole left us feeling queasy after only a bite or less of a few dishes. The biscuits were hard. French toast was not good. There isn't many options to choose from for food. They do have cereal (butbehy pay $30 if you're getting 1 bowl of cereal. They dont have many fruit options. It is not worth the $30, I was really looking forward to the breakfast and was only let down.
