this spot got minus a star for giving us the "western" menu despite being vietnamese
we noticed the other table had fried chicken but our menu didnt. the waiter said the chicken is from outside.
so we ordered our pizza and pasta.
later another couple comes in and they order the fried chicken!!!
we ask again to the waiter how they ordered the fried chicken to which they advised "oh you had the western menu, they ordered from the vietnamese menu"
slightly infuriated we reviewed the menu, and literally the only difference between the viet and western menu was the addition of fried chicken! how is fried chicken not available for westerners?
and what annoys me more was the fact we enquired about it to begin with and they told us it was from outside!!!!!
long story short - if you want the fried chicken (and u dont see it on ur menu) just ask for the FULL MENU!

Super slow service. Not great food. Ordered 2 meals and 2 drinks. Got meal 1 after 15 mins. Got drink 2 after 25 mins. Got told drink 1 was not available after 30 mins, after finishing my meal. Got meal 2 after 30 mins, so that both of us ate alone.
Pizza tasted super fake, something you’d get at a cafeteria in the middle of nowhere. Bolognese didn’t look or taste like there was any tomato involved. Peach smoothie is 100% fake, no real peaches involved, tastes a bit like medicine. They were out of Bacardi, and didn’t have the cookie smoothie either.
The main staff member (who could speak English) realized how annoyed we were at the service and drinks, and gave us a tiny (5k discount) on a 215 ish bill.

After 4 weeks in Asia so far and a few attempts at having pizza to satisfy a cheese craving and break from rice, this was by far the best pizza I've had and the only one that has really hit the spot.
I've been to New York when my partner lived there and had a fair few new York slices and this is definitely on that level. No other pizza place with 5 star rating we have tried is anywhere close to this. So so good and perfect treat after Ha Giang Loop. 🍕❤️

I had the Bruschetta and lasagne accompanied by a very good quality Chilean Merlot. The Bruschetta was loaded with tomato with just the right balance of garlic for my taste (I do love garlic). The Lasagne was served bubbling hot and was brimming with lean beef and melted cheese, just as it should be. The whole experience was made more relaxing by the soft saxophone background music. Looking on the map for a highly rated place to eat, and this absolutely stood up to its rating. The time of night we arrived they didn't have the full menu available, however he recommended the beef fried noodles (number 2 I believe, or 3) and so we each got the beef noodles and an order of pork spring rolls(not pictured they were too good). It was the best meal I've had in Vietnam so far. So yummy. Spring rolls were delectable!! 5 stars, totally recommend. I would have liked to try the number one, southern beef something or other. We will if we have time on our way back from the loop!

I popped in for a quick lunch durning the loop. I really enjoy the food over there. The homemade pizza was amazing. The staff are incredibly friendly and the restaurant has a comfortable and lovely atmosphere to it. They have variety of pizza, pasta, starters and lasagne too.

It felt very safe, the food was amazing and the accommodation was very nice as well. Would absolutely do the trip with them again and can’t recommend it enough!

Overall this hostel is fairly poor. The building itself is nice, rooms are clearly recently renovated. However, cleanliness is poor. I stayed in a dorm and in a private bungalow. There were lots of insects in both.
I complained about dead ants being all over the floor, bedding and bathroom of the bungalow. Staff came in and 'cleaned' it (pic below is after cleaning) but there were still lots of dead ants - we were picking them out of the bed all evening.
Food is mid. The burger tasted good but was the tiniest bit of meat I've ever seen.
Location is poor unless you are doing the Ha Giang Vision tour - not close to town and nothing around.
I'd be skeptical about all the five stars given that you get a free beer for writing one.
Staff are friendly but much more attention needs to be paid to cleanliness.

Quiri hotel is a great place with a nice swimming pool and kind workers.
About the tour (3D2N) it was really good. We’ve seen incredible landscapes and viewpoints. The easy drivers were incredibly friendly, the food was always delicious and the places where we slept were really good.
Nevertheless we thought there was a lack of activities during the tour … and the last day is only driving back to Ha Giang which is not really optimised.

If you’re like me and my girlfriend and you’re looking for that western food you’ve been longing for after travelling Vietnam! Look no further.
The pictures don’t do the food justice but my god the flavour was out of this world. We got tacos, cheese fries and hot wings they were so good we end up ordering Quesadillas and that was just the cherry on top.
The couple that own the place are so friendly and even gave us recommendations for our travels. We wish them all the best in business.

We we’re staying just down the road and had both lunch and dinner here. We had vegetarian dishes - crispy tofu with spring onions, seasonal sautéd veggies, stir fry pumpkin and fresh spring rolls which were all delicious.

I came here very late they’re about to close. But I told the owner that I hadn’t eaten food all day. I’m so hungry, I only want to eat vegan food. And he said ok he will cook for me. We stayed with Hao for a few nights and it was really great. She is very friendly and helps you with whatever your need. The hostel itself is still in a developing state because it's pretty new. Everything looks really nice and it's very clean. Beds are big and there is fans and AC. Hao is a good cook and the food at her restaurant is yummy, just takes a while sometimes because she is very busy handling most things herself.
It was really nice staying here, we had a great time and would recommend Hao Tea House.

Just finished the Ha Giang Loop and it was hands down one of the best experiences of my trip! The drivers were absolutely amazing — super skilled, safe, and made us feel comfortable the entire time, even on the twisty mountain roads.
Our tour leader, Sonny, was incredible! So friendly, full of energy, and knew all the best scenic spots. He made the trip feel personal and fun, and was always making sure everyone was having a great time.
The food throughout the trip was delicious — lots of variety and plenty to go around. The group was mostly in the 20-30 age range, many couples, friends and solo travelers, which made it super easy to connect and have fun. Nights were filled with happy water, karaoke, and great vibes all around.
We stayed in the private rooms which were all lovely, especially on the 2nd night!

Not recommended — especially for the price. We were a bit misled by the (very) positive Google reviews and ended up regretting our visit.
The BBQ platter for two costs a steep 559,000 VND — and you’ll likely still be hungry unless you order extra rice on the side. We also found the quality of the meat underwhelming. Specially the beef and the chicken were tough and chewy, no matter how long we grilled them.
The staff were friendly and tried their best, but communication was difficult as they barely spoke any English. The atmosphere was okay — nothing particularly special.
Up to this point, we might still have given it 3 stars… but then came the wet towels. They were placed on the table without a word, and later charged at 10,000 VND each. Sure, that’s not a huge amount, but charging customers for something without informing them first is a no-go in our eyes — especially for a restaurant that tries to present itself as more upscale.

I did a 3 night 4 day tour that started on Saturday 15th November. Binh was our tour leader, I think it was his first time being a tour leader. I wanted to say how great he was, he told us so much about the place and made sure we were all having fun. I felt like he really helped our group gel together on the first day which really made our experience great and he took a load of photos of us that I’ll cherish forever. Our group always seemed to be having the most fun.
My easy rider was Tuan, and I can’t rate him high enough. It was my first time ever on a motorbike and I felt safer than driving in a car. He drove so well, I never once felt uneasy. He helped me with my helmet everytime and with my rain gear. The bike seat was always clean every time we got back on, regardless of the muck. Even though he didn’t speak much English, we spoke a lot through google translate, he made the experience a 100/10 and if I ever done it again I would even go so far as to try and request him.
To be honest all the drivers in our group need a shout out. They all did an amazing job.

Had an absolutely fantastic experience with Bong - would highly recommend them for your Ha Giang Loop tour. We did the 4 days 3 nights tour, and would definitely recommend this as you get the full experience, don't feel rushed and you can spend proper time exploring the incredible scenery and experiences of Ha Giang.
Our leader Tom was absolutely fantastic, keeping energy high throughout day and night along with our amazing easy riders - even if you are a bit nervous (it is a big trip!) they really put you at ease - their confidence and experience is second to none. The speeds of driving are also not crazy which really put me at ease.
We stopped about 4 times each morning and 4 in the afternoon, as well as for lunch - I thought this was fantastic, as it really broke up the driving and meant you get to have some quality time to talk to people and take photos. Bring cash for the loop as it is very hard to find an ATM with money throughout.
The rooms at the home stays on the route are fine - Bong hostel's room is basically just a massive dorm, nothing special but a useful base to arrive at the night before you start the loop. The actual homestays throughout the tour are great fun as you often get to mix with different groups, as well as getting to have a meal with your own group and share your experience and memories with everyone. Can't recommend it enough!

I did the 3 nights 4 day motorbike group tour and it was absolutely incredible. Tom was our group leader and we had a group of 11.
Having never ridden a motorbike ever before I felt really safe with my driver and the group generally. The pace was safe and I felt very comfortable. The drivers talent on these roads is insane.
There are plenty of stops about every 15-30 minutes where you can enjoy the stunning scenery + have a coffee, go to the loo etc.
We stayed at different home stays each night, each with their own pros and cons but overall it was good quality and the option to get a private room is always there for a cost if you wanted it.

I joined the 4D3N Ha Giang Loop tour with Bong Hostels, and it was hands-down one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. The easy riders were professional, super friendly, and made me feel safe the entire time — even on the more challenging mountain roads.

Just finished the Ha Giang Loop and it was hands down one of the best experiences of my trip! The drivers were absolutely amazing — super skilled, safe, and made us feel comfortable the entire time, even on the twisty mountain roads.
Our tour leader, Sonny, was incredible! So friendly, full of energy, and knew all the best scenic spots. He made the trip feel personal and fun, and was always making sure everyone was having a great time.
The food throughout the trip was delicious — lots of variety and plenty to go around. The group was mostly in the 20-30 age range, many couples, friends and solo travelers, which made it super easy to connect and have fun. Nights were filled with happy water, karaoke, and great vibes all around.
We stayed in the private rooms which were all lovely, especially on the 2nd night!

Unsure who left the reviews about the food here or if it was a bad day but i would give 0 if i could. Ordered a vegetable Bahn mi and was told it would have all sorts of vegetables in. I got grated wet cucumber and tofu in soggy bread which I added chilli sauce to but still couldn’t even eat half. The pho was okay after adding table sauces to it and had a lot of vegetables but we found a dead bug in it about a third of the way through so left at that point.
When I asked about the lack of vegetables I was told “no”. Would definitely avoid.

Although I'm no expert, Bún Chả Tân Sơn - Hà Giang was my preferred place to enjoy this dish in Vietnam. I discovered it through a Google search and visited two nights in a row, wishing I could have stayed longer. We were looking for somewhere to eat late in the evening but nothing in the area appeared to be open but we then came across this restaurant. The owner spotted us and invited us in and I believe they had stopped making food at this location, so took our order and the kind lady that worked there took her bike and picked up the food from their other location and brought it back.
The food was fresh and delicious, portion size was great value, however the best part of the meal was the excellent and kind service from the owner and his partner. The owner was so gracious and attentive and sat with us as we ate and we had a lovely conversation. They provided us with delicious extras such as vegetable soup and fresh oranges which was very generous. It was great getting to know Peter and my partner and I have agreed it was one of her favourite meals of our trip so far.
Thank you Peter for your hospitality and we wish you good fortune and hope you receive many more customers.

Today I came to Ha Giang city and had dinner at sakura Ha Giang restaurant w my friends. First, the design of the restaurant impressed me w the open kitchen style that I can see what staffs are doing which is so much interesting. Second, dishes are so delicious that fit with our taste so much (photos of dishes we ordered will be uploaded below). Last week when travelling to Ha Giang, I had dinner here with my friends and it turned out to be such a memorable experience! I ordered Sumo Ramen and it’s definitely a MUST TRY when you come here. The restaurant is a little bit too dark for me, but I think this romantic atmosphere will be suitable for couples. Staffs are friendly and supportive also. The location is convenient, right in the middle of Ha Giang city.
