My wife is coeliac and they catered for her with no issues, she felt fine afterwards and the day after. Also bear in mind, they do only have benches, no chairs with backs, some benches are against walls though. The decor is great and the atmosphere is upbeat and lively, very friendly crowd and in general with the customers. There is outdoor space on both sides of the pub, one is non-smoking, the other is larger but the tables were pretty old and knackered so we moved. The menu is decent, the food alright for a pub. Most mains are set at £16 which is fair but I do feel like the curry was like a premium ready meal, especially the rice that came with the beef madras I ordered. Mrs had spicy Cajun wings which she liked and the chips too were very good apparently, that sounds like a silly thing to mention but many places don't get the simple bits right but this did. The salad that came with the wings was not the usual token, basic salad you get a lot of places, it was much better. There are resident dogs in the pub and they're beautiful 😍 The pub doesn't stock typical branded beers/lagers which I don't mind as I like to try something new, the barman I spoke to was helpful in choosing a drink and it was very nice 🙂

If you are looking for some quiet time in a beautifully presented restaurant this is the place to go. We went for breakfast and the whole experience was superb. Bacon was cooked to perfection with the French toast and the spinach was definitely cooked with something that gave it a home cooked meal taste. The staff were friendly and very informative about the area. I looked at the dinner menu which offered plenty of traditional French cuisine. Highly recommend Côte. This visit was for lunch. We had to wait 5 - 10 mins for a table as we didn’t book. The food was delicious and service friendly and efficient. The service was attentive but not too pushy. The staff are all very knowledgeable and helpful. However based on the dishes I had, I would rate the Fork's residence chef's imagination as more ambitious even than the windgrove's excellent food. I've had some incredible meals here. During my last visit which prompted this review, I shared 4 dishes with my sister (most dishes are larger than a starter, smaller than a main) and each was cooked to perfection - well balanced flavors in each dish, inspired by different cuisines. The manager Kris went out of his way to make our day special, and worked with us to ensure we had exactly what we wanted for us and our guests on our big day. This experience just got better and better as the mains came out. We had opted to go for the small plates, and as my son had eaten here before, I gave him free range to pick all the dishes, I can't praise this restaurant high enough. I love sushi and have eaten in many a fine restaurant in many a fine city. But this - was a hoy to find in Lewes. Korean street food, sushi, and fish and chips. All exactly and the owners are just lovely! Since the first opened I have enjoyed their food. Always great quality and the sushi is just delicious. Excellent fish and chips - I ordered huss, which was meaty and full of flavour, as it should be. Huge portion of crispy chips. I saw a sushi order being collected and that looked excellent too. A great local, family run place which I plan to return to. One warning - they don't take cards, so you either have to pay cash or arrange a bank transfer which is a bit of a hassle. .

Put that to side the darts and pool table were quite good. But I had spent £4 on the fruit machine which i luckily won £11 on, the machine dispensed £1 and then the alarm went off. We spoke to the lady behind the bar who explained it’s a 3rd party machine and would need someone else to come see to it. I left my name and number and she told me to come back in a weeks time. Since returning over a week later, i asked if i could get my £10. She said the engineer had been but there was no money in there. Which we previously had thought was the case as i didn’t receive my money in the first place. Following the old lady behind the bar became very rude and shifted blame onto the engineer not finding an any money in there. This severe lack of common sense and just plain rude attitude and told me to come back a week later, what a joke. I will be back for my money or i’ll be taking it further. It’s not even the tenner, it’s the principle and how rudely i was spoken to.
