Some places are more expensive than others, but if you have the money to spend than I'd say the food quality is worth your money. Staff that work at the various restaurants are friendly and on a warmer day they have seating outside with a menu beside the public walk way which enables you to browse the menu before actually committing to the restaurant. The cake shack in particular offered blankets for the outside tables which created a cozy experience.

Menswear is in short supply all over this town (in my very small size) but if you want some art, be it paintings or sculptures, copper moulds for one's rustic farmhouse kitchen, a new blue Le Crueset Casserole Dish ( it is nicer than the usual orange) then this is the place for you. Jazz nights, food festivals, plenty of hotels, it is a nice place to visit. Luckily I am staying with a friend who has an amazing apartment in the middle of it.

Only three stations but they are each very interesting with information boards and old railway paraphernalia. Tunbridge has got some big stores outside but there is really not much outside of the other two. The trains and cars were really the highlight with a variety of engines (steam and diesel) and they pulled cars from different time periods so each time we got on we felt like we were in a different era. Definitely worth a visit and to get a ticket that allows you to hop on and off all day. Staff were all friendly and passionate about what they do (all volunteers). The price include three artisan gins, a mixer and a slice of cake, all of which are served in one of the train's lovingly restored dining cars. Of course the best bit is that it all takes place aboard a restored steam train and what boy (no matter how old) doesn't enjoy that? You also get enough time to get off and explore the heritage stations along the route, which is an added bonus. The trains and line are pretty great but we went on a Sunday. And their was no real staff presence at the main Tunbridge Wells platform. So there was general confusion among visitors. The shop was closed completely so our plan to get souvenirs was a no go. And during our ride myself and other visitors where sternly told "No not allowed" when we where filming put the windows. They were extremely clever and the library and museum are together, so you can appreciate art whilst browsing to find a book. The stury rooms are also brand new and just a great seeltting. Definitely a place to go to if you need to read other catch up with studies. Staff is polite and take time to help you with watever you need. There is a piano, and there is always someone playing in the background, so it adds up positively to the experiece. To finish, there is a cafe downstairs with loads of options and great staff.

The news of the Spring and its exceptional properties circulated and noble visitors from London and elsewhere flocked to the resulting hamlet springing up alongside the natural spa. Since it wasn’t far from Tonbridge (originally spelled Tunbridge), already a town, it later became known as Tunbridge Wells. The Wells In the eighteenth century, the Chalybeate Spring became a vital daily custom for any honourable lady or gentleman visiting 'The Wells'. Each day began with a tumbler of the spring water, followed by a “promenade” on The Walks, now known as The Pantiles, or a sojourn to the coffee house to hear the most up-to-date gossip, then off to church at the nearby Chapel of Ease, King Charles the Martyr. After luncheon, time was whiled away with more “promenading”, wagering or a friendly game of bowls on one of the nearby greens. The evening finished with further betting, dancing, a musical soiree or ostentatious ball.

Our experiences of the library on the whole have been mega mixed. The rhyme time can be very busy and it has a great atmosphere. The train set has been removed and that is a bone of contention for our toddler!! The walk into the waiting area is exciting, finding out if your child (or adult) is good (green light) or bad (red light - which my children thought hilarious!) the entertainment whilst we waited, the stage set u, all spot on! My eldest had additional Needs, both children have dairy allergy’s, they both were accommodated with the alternative milk hot chocolates and biscuits without any issue (you give this information when booking). The actual carriage cast members are incredible. The ‘chefs’ dance and prance up and down, the elf’s do the same, Father Christmas arrives and is so convincing, even as an adult. The ticket inspector is marvellous, again, in character entire time, answers questions from the children, doesn’t rush, and when checking the ticket, will ask your initial to mark the ticket!! The lighting throughout the carriage creates magic by itself. Highly recommend a dusk>nighttime visit to really get the full lighting experience. We had great attention from the cast, through the experience and each family all had equal attention. The dancing was planned so each section of the carriage could see a good portion on the routines. I couldn’t fault any part of this experience. I have visited for several years, as well as Lapland UK and would HIGHLY recommend this experience. My children are always on a high (as are the adults) once the experience is finished. And you can purchase some great Merch in the gift shop on the way out.

Over the two hours we were here we got to listen to a talk about lambing, meet the lambs, their mums and dads and their chick and quail friends, watch an expert sheep shearing, decorate plant pots and plant sunflower seeds in them and participate in duck herding with a sheep dog! There were also tractor trailer rides, face painting and a great bouncy castle set-up for small additional fees. Our group had kids between two and seven, and they all really enjoyed themselves. Walled garden in car park full of colour and some pumpkins. Hexagonal in shape and easy to walk around. Inside house reflective of being lived in and each room had costumes on display as worn by previous owners which reflects alot of achieved acquisitions not normally seen. Walk to ruin castle steep but rewarded by good views. Dont miss boat house if you are sandman fans as thus part of estate was cain and ables home! 40 min lake walk good path and easy 2 mile walk. Quarry quirky where stone for building house came from. Dont miss cat on fountain at back of house.... We thought grounds better than sissinghurst. Oh yes no toilets at bottom of hill by ruin. So make sure you go at top!! The painting in dining room of dwarves Hunting worth a muse and comment as so unusual in any old property . Volunteers most tolerant of me telling them about sandman as not many knew much about it!! Last tip house/ castle/ grounds all shut at different times so check if going for pist lunch visit.

First stop though of course is always the cafe for a lovely breakfast snack and drink. Well, it was an amazing idea. The reservoir is huge and so the park. I guess we probably saw 2% of it. Then you get to the main facility with a wide area to buy food with tables indoors and outdoors and a beautiful view on the lake. There's even a mini golf and a climbing wall. Then you have this green slope towards the lake with a big wooden boat as entrance to the playground. The main attraction was the huge slide. I think my kids spent an hour there! I don't know what the rest of the park can offer, but I saw you can hire some boats or board to get into the lake. It totally deserves a visit!

Zoe and Bradley were very patient with my boys, very knowledgeable and overall great instructors. We had an informative tour of the birds they housed and then walked to the field to fly some.
