It's a lovely restaurant and you don't realise how grand and fancy it looks until you walk inside! It's quite a bit bigger than you would imagine it to be too. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. It was on the table very quickly, as were the drinks that we ordered as soon as we arrived. The only criticism I have is that we felt a bit rushed to eat our food and leave, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. A waiter kept staring at our table when he would walk past (which was quite a bit) and he was quick to try and get the food off our table which we were slowly picking at after having our main fill. It was a little uncomfortable, but it was still a lovely experience overall.

Have used this restaurant on a few occasions, each time have had issues where dishes were ordered but not included in the actual takeaway. When we've tried to correct this, we were met with surprisingly rude service and denial of any issues. All of the dishes were fresh and well made, offering great value for the price. The prices were very affordable and allowed me to get my belly full without breaking the bank. I had been to the restaurant on previous occasions and had always been satisfied. So on this occasion I decided to order a takeaway. I phoned my order through at 6.30pm and was told it would be "just over an hour" which was fine. At 8.10pm I rang them again and spoke to the same lady who had taken my order. She told me it was being cooked, that it would be around another 30 mins, that she was very sorry as it was busier than she had ever known it and offered to throw in a free drink which I accepted. At 8.49pm I rang again and got the same lady. She said it was out for delivery and if I wanted to complain I could speak to her manager. When I spoke with him he half heartedly apologised for my 2 hr plus wait but didn't offer any partial refund of the food or delivery cost. I finally got my food at 9.06pm, 2 hrs and 36 mins after I placed my order with no free drink as offered just to add insult to injury. I bet the people sat in the restaurant didn't wait over 2 hours for their food. Bottom line, don't take orders if you can't fulfill them in a timely manner, it just appears to be money grabbing with no thought to the customer at the end of your lack of service.

After a change of ownership, the restaurant has gone through a bit of a makeover, new decor, new lighting, the old heated tables have been replaced and new staff. They have also opened up an all you can eat Japanese Sushi restaurant next door. It’s certainly a lot brighter than it was before and that’s no bad thing. With all the recent changes, we was a bit apprehensive about how good the food was going to be, as we loved it previously. Thankfully the food was still as delicious and the service was still top notch. I don’t like Sushi, but my other half does, and even though we were in the Chinese side, they let her order some Sushi too, so win win all round for us. As to be expected, the prices are more than you would get from a takeaway, but still very reasonable, as the portion sizes are generous. The good thing is, what you can’t eat, you can take home in a few takeaway tubs, so you can still enjoy it at home the next day if you so wish. Highly recommend a visit here if you like a Chinese or even Sushi in a nice chilled out environment.

The chicken balls for example are dripping in grease, and the quality of the chicken is absolute trash, looks like it comes from a can. Proper Chinese food. There's a normal menu that you will find in most Chinese restaurants and takeaways everywhere, and there's a more authentic Chinese one, which you will only find in the odd restaurant in each city. So I was happy to find the Golden Dynasty on the lower part of High Street. Food was great and generous portions. I had two starters (fried dumplings, and salt and pepper chicken (balls)), followed by Chairman Mao Style Braised Pork Belly. Could easily have fed two people (the waiter did warn me when ordering a second starter!), and I took home the food I wasn't able to eat. The only strange thing was they brought the starters and main dishes at the same time, so make sure to tell them to deliver the starters first. Can wholeheartedly recommend, and if ever back in Lincoln I will visit again.

They answered the phone pretty quickly and the man on the end was very pleasant and took our order. The food was delivered within the time frame given and was nice and hot. The boiled rice was nice and fluffy and there was plenty of food! However thats where all the good points end. I had sweet and sour chicken..the sauce was very thick ,gloopy and very strong. The chicken itself? Well i didnt find any..it was just batter!! With large amounts of white onion and chunks of pineapple! My partner had the roast duck and mushrooms..he said the dish was pretty flavourless. We also received a bag of prawn crackers..which were actually stale!!! First and last time ordering from here.

Really enjoyed the food. It was delivered hot and a little early. The ingredients were of good quality (including the meat) well seasond and cooked. I find that a lot of take aways have started to sweeten the curry sauce. Only fault was the curry sauce. Chinese style curry sauce used to be the star of the show, savoury, rich in flavour, thick with a spicy kick. Now, i find a lot of them are thin and too sweet - same here. Everything else, Ribs, salt and pepper chips, chicken fried rice, chilli & onion dishes that we tried were all great. Would order again if in the area. If thinking of odering, give them a try.
