My gain!!! As I discovered the Golden Lilly instead! Ordered twice in one week. The prawn crackers are light , fresh and amazing! The ribs are the best I've ever had, the curry is amazing! The singerpore Chow Mein was delicious and the omelette and chips tasty. Can't wait to sample more as I've been looking for a great Chinese like this for 4 years since moving here. The man on the phone is always a pleasure to talk to and order your food with...he's very friendly and good at his job..could be the owner... The delivery man is great! He found a very difficult house to find as other Chinese delivery people in the past have never found the house and the food ends up going cold ! and another plus with Golden Lily is it arrives swiftly and is piping hot! 5 stars from me. The staff were friendly and the food was really nice. We did order water for the table which never came but no big deal. The food however is expensive, we didn't order loads including drinks, between 4 but was over £80. As the last reviewer said this was also our go to Chinese for takeaway but it closed for some time and we went elsewhere. It used to have a really fast delivery even at the busiest times but alas it was well over the hour estimate time given. Had to put the food in the oven to reheat before we could eat it. Now the food was terrible, it tasted as it had been cooked in burnt oil, sorry won't be ordering again from them in the near future! This is our go-to Chinese. Every time. We live local and had tried out a few other Chinese take always when moving here 8 years ago but once we found this one we stuck with it. Amongst other things we ordered Ribs with BBQ sauce and fried rice and chips & curry sauce from snack menu, the ribs and fried rice were dry NO BBQ sauce, we got a large bag, but a tiny tub of curry sauce, the ratio between chips and sauce was ridiculous, so we basically paid £4.50 for Chips! We also ordered Chicken and pork with Garlic and BBQ sauce from specials menu, this was also DRY with NO SAUCE. In addition to the tiny tub of curry sauce there we were 2 other tiny tubs of sauce (the same sauce in both tubs) but we didn’t know what sauce it was as there were no labels and the flavour was unidentifiable. Beef in the chow mein was a bit sparse and for me was a little on the dry side. Sauce is an integral element of Chinese food and all the food we ordered was DRY which spoiled which would otherwise have been an ok Chinese takeaway.(NB I would have sent my comments the Golden Dragon for their response but there is no email address on their website)

It has always been our favourite and always been good food. We ordered tonight, after a long day for both of us, the food we got was simply vile. This is not just a case of 'personal preference', this was quite simply the worst takeaway we have had in many years. The chips were hard, and I mean rock hard. We couldn't figure out even how they had got them that wrong, or indeed into that state. The chicken curry I ordered when spooned out of the tray had a different colour in the centre, like water had pooled in the middle (although it was not water, it was just vile yellow 'stuff') it put me off instantly, and I have a very high constitution and don't squirm easily. The egg fried rice was burnt, not all the way black but very, very dark brown and it tasted that way too. My wife had a foo yong dish that was at the very best passable, although that too had a collection of thick yellow water in the tray. A little more expected perhaps from an egg dish as water would indeed settle but after the rest, it was just not appetising. I rang, to tell them that we were not happy, I had no intention to refund, just wanted to let them know that their food was not up to much. The Chinese lady I spoke to simply could not understand me enough for me to even get that across to her. She kept telling me that this was a chinese takeaway and asking me what I wanted to order, despite me telling her many times that I had already ordered. When she finally started to understand she kept on going on about giving them the food back, for a refund. Over and over I explained I didn't want a refund, just to let them know that things were bad and in the end had to give up. I hope someone can at least get something from this review and maybe do something about their standards, which seem to have slipped desperately since we last ordered from them. A shame, I don't know why things like this happen but I felt I should pass on how completely terrible it was. Oh, and to add insult to injury, the prawn crackers had a weird taste to them.
