We attended a private pre booked event for Melody Dance Company on Saturday 12th July We arrived at just before 4pm and queued at the bar to get a drink. It came out just after 5pm and was placed under hotplates. The staff then abandoned the food and went back into the kitchen and were not seen again. Now on the email we had as guests it was 1 burger per person but there were people taking 2 or 3 burgers and eating them or people going up 2 or 3 times and treating it like an all you can eat buffet. Now can I ask how they get a 5 food rating???? As what I witnessed should be a 1 !!!!!! The food was placed under hot plates, some of which was chicken but it was stone cold when we were queuing up for our food. There were a couple of trays of food that had been on the side not even under hot plates that had been there for 1 and a half hours and as some of the trays emptied the staff moved these under the hotplates 🤣 what an absolute joke! All this food had been out about an hour and a half and no one probed it to see if it was at the correct temperature and no allergy information displayed etc. There were supposed to be staff there so you could tell which burger you had ordered etc so you could get served but there wasn't! There were also customers from De Koffe Pot coming in and helping themselves to the food, what a disgrace! We paid £67 for 3 tickets to basically enter the building, watch our child dance for 10 mins and spend £20 at the bar where we had to queue for for 45 minutes in total because of staff incompetence Having read other reviews I will probably get banned 🤣🤣 but I wouldn't go there again if you paid me. I emailed ahead of booking to confirm one veggie who can’t eat tomatoes would be ok. I had positive email comms and was told that was fine and went ahead and booked. On booking I added into the notes x1 veggie who can’t eat tomatoes. I was booking it as a birthday gift and celebration for a friend who came to visit especially. Unfortunately the “experience” was a complete let down. Firstly the “experience” of everyone being seated and given their courses at the same time from 7pm did not take place and there was initially only one other table of four in when we arrived. The veggie starter when it was due out I was told I couldn’t have due to my mushroom allergy. I explained it is tomatoes not mushrooms. So they went to get the starter only to come back and say they had sold out of the one and only veggie starter on the menu. So my friend ate her beef starter and I sat there whilst she ate it. She was far from impressed with the beef starter. When my veggie main came out it was completely inedible. It lacked seasoning, there was no beetroot even though the dish was supposedly beetroot based and there was no tofu horseradish (as stated on the menu) on there either. The cous cous was dry and flavourless. My friend’s main came out and it was plain and dry and she refused to eat it. I also couldn’t eat mine. The table of four next to us told us they were also very unhappy by this dining “experience”. The manager was very apologetic and didn’t charge us. We then left and had to go find somewhere else to eat, by which point it was 8.35pm! I can say the mocktails were lovely but this was overall a very disappointing experience and not what it appeared to be advertised as. Even the menu on paper sounded good but the actual food was far from good, and as I say my main course was inedible! I was very apologetic to my friend as this was supposed to be a lovely birthday treat. Gutted. I cannot recommend this “5 course dining experience” at all!

The interior is really nice and has a homely feel to it with an outside back area for smoking which is roofed mostly to stop rain. If you're after a quiet pint, id advise going at the start of the week. However if you like the busier times, weekends are always fun and always good for a laugh and hanging out with new people. I hesitated briefly wondering if I should explain my situation but at this point he had just humiliated me in front of everyone so it was a bit difficult to walk over to him and have a quiet word so I just said "ok" and left. I hope that this young man learns some humility and manners before someone ends up waiting for him after closing time and giving him the lesson he needs. I worked in many bars and never would I have ever done that to anyone, especially not knowing what someone may be dealing with from a health standpoint. I couldn’t see a problem being if they’re ordering off the main menu technically they’re going to be paying more but eating less and drinking less as they’ll be paying per item instead of the rest of us having it unlimited there was a big issue over this to the point we was not going to go there we even got told we could sit in the main restaurant and order off the main menu which defeated the object of the bottomless brunch. In the end. The owner said the person could have chips. We decided to stay and do the bottoms branches and the one person tap chips the place was not that busy and the service was a little bit slow there was no music no atmosphere. The food was great. The drinks were not the same as before there was no garnishing they were in random glasses and we had to keep calling over even though there was empty glasses on the table towards the end, I did mention it to a couple of the staff and I also wrote a list of my recommendations and comments as I do a lot of bottom branches when I go places and it’s such a shame as Hereford doesn’t have a lot of places what do them and this place is missing a trick if they were to do it correct they would be packed out all the time and people then would come not just for the bottomless brunch but for drinks food and intern pay more money. What are you still love about? This place was the individuality it wasn’t just like a part of a chain they would help as much as they could and give the best of service and it was different whereas now I find it’s gone downhill sadly.

Known Saxtys for many years and visited a fair number of times, but not with the family or for lunch. What a great experience! The check-in was simple and relaxed – we were greeted kindly and then left to enjoy our stay in peace, which was exactly what we were looking for. We pitched our tent alongside the rugby field, right next to the river – an absolutely ideal spot as we were canoeing during our trip. The location couldn't be better: peaceful, scenic, and just a short walk into the centre of Hereford. The town itself is full of charm, with plenty of great pubs, friendly locals, and lovely little shops to explore. One of the highlights was breakfast at the rowing club – a hearty buffet spread that reminded us of a Premier Inn breakfast, with plenty of choice and generous portions to fuel the day. All in all, this was a fantastic weekend getaway, and I’ll definitely be coming back for another stay. The cost per night is very reasonable - since most sites only reduce appx £5 per night off their nightly £40+ cost for no electric. Staff were really friendly, polite and helpful and Saturday and Sunday buffet breakfast in the club house was an added bonus at a very reasonable cost. The site is mainly level and flat and ideally located for relaxation by the river, riverside walks and only a short walk into the city centre where there are lots of independent shops as well as chains and numerous restaurants and cafes. Some people have commented on the shower facilities which are fairly basic but totally adequate and if you want modern singing all dancing facilities then book onto a site and pay £48 per night! We will definitely be visiting again.

Cocktails to begin with were very tasty and visual (see photo). We then moved onto the food which again was faultless. Each course was not too small, but neither too big, as can sometimes be the case, with you being over whelmed. We all had dessert, however one of us only wanted a small portion and we said we were happy to pay the full price, only to be told there was no charge for the small dessert! How amazing and very much appreciated. For people who don't want a full dessert a tasting dessert of each one would be ideal.
