We opted for the Buffet minimum @ £20.95 per person, which included 'Sterters & Mains'. You basically ordered what you liked off the extensive menu and could keep going back for as much as you liked as often as you liked. Service was prompt and with plenty of smiles, and all food was served freshly cooked and piping. Deserts, we're an extra and all ice cream based, but a good selection and all reasonably priced. In addition to the excellent food and service, there is a nice beer garden to the rear, which is nice for a drink on a warm evening and a good sized car park is at the side of the property. My advice would be to book in advance as it is not the biggest place and it is also very popular.

Avoid it like the plague. I ordered a vodka and diet coke and it came in a very small wine glass and the coke was flat.. Obviously out of a plastic bottle that was probably open for weeks given the lack of customers. We were the only ones there when we arrived and we had to ask if they were actually open. There was no music and only two staff in sight. A guy near me asked for a beer and they only did bottled beers.. no draught. They obviously didn't want to fork out for the basic infrastructure of a normal restaurant. There were around 4 or 5 starters available. No chicken wings, crispy duck pancakes or the usuals. We ordered the butterfly king prawns and they came in giant balls of batter with just lemon and lettuce.. no sauce, although they brought some sweet chilli sauce after my wife asked them. Just not appetising at all. Much better in breadcrumbs and always bring a sauce / dip. The mains.. Well.. horrendous. The sweet and sour chicken was similar to the prawn starters and gluped in a dark sauce.. No vegetables like you get at pretty much every other Chinese eatery. The chicken was cooked in one big piece and sliced into pieces. The egg fried rice was grey and bland.. Just rice and hardly any egg. My wife had the special chow mein and it was just a pile of inedible gloop. The vertical blinds were filthy. How this place is still open is a mystery. An absolute horrible experience.

Lucky I wasn't allergic to nuts as I found a stray nut in my special fried rice. Definitely not worth the money or a return trip. My advice would be to keep driving to Hereford and don't stop.

Inedible "free" prawn crackers that had yellowed as tho it had been standing around for days. Sauces that were are thick goopy and and clagy. Dry, rice that would be perfect for a recipe that needed left over day old rice. The food was cold, and we were missing part of the order! In fairness the restaurant did after some shouting internally agree they did forget to include our chips. So they happily "cooked more" and would send them straight away. 35 mins later we got our cold chips. Thanks but no thanks. No remorse or apologies, nor an offer of a partial refund. I cannot stress how poor the quality of the food actually is. As for the service, well the less said the better!

Quality was extremely poor - chewy chips, one normal sized rib and one tiny bit of gristle (part of the appetizer for 2), prawn toast was just bread soaked in oil, barely any noodles under a layer of raw peppers and cashews, chicken in sweet and sour was rock solid, inedible. Called restaurant to explain this and ask for my money back, first person I spoke to said they were used to complaints but they couldn't do anything. After a long talk and hearing the phone being passed around various members of staff unwilling to take the the time to refund us, whole audibly complaining about us, she said they would refund me £20 of my £35 order but that she didn't know how to do it so it would have to wait until one of their staff members could do it. I was assured I would be refunded by the end of the night. I have received no money and when trying to call Lotus it goes straight to voicemail. We threw the food in the bin and ordered a new meal with New Jasmine House in Creddenhill, service was excellent and food delicious. Maybe Lotus should take some tips from them.
