We had 11 of us at the table and we where served quickly by the pleasent staff. Everyone enjoyed their meals but ihad the Thai chicken curry and this could have had more flavour but all in all nice food. The cheese cake was lovely as to was the esplanade ice cream. We will visit again sometime when it isn't so busy as the noise level can be quite loud at times.

The food is ok, the drinks are fine, the service is ok. A few mistakes were made with orders but these were quickly solved. Unfortunately yet again the food in this place is not to my taste. I tried it again and orderered something different and it was actually quite disgusting in taste. Am so sorry to have to report this but I will not be giving them my money from now on. Unless the food becomes a lot better then.... I am a supporter of utilising local business, spending your money local but it won't be in here. Sorry esplanade cafe but up your game when it comes to food. Also all of the loud voices of staff shouting needs to stop. Lots of love to everyone who works there because I understand their all doing their best.

Seemed to take umbridge at one person daring to question the sizes of ice cream servings and my poor kids were barked at for a choice before they had even seen into the ice cream cabinet. Returned again on Friday 16th September 2022 with my friend & I had the Chicken soup BUT I don't think it had cream in it when I done my last review & there was none in it this time. I asked for it hot & it came that way BUT it had a slight greasy coating on top yet the soup tasted real good with bits of chicken🐥in it & the slightest greasy coating on top would no doubt help lubricate my arthritic joints. My stake pie was very good & there were NO bits of tough or fat meat in it & there was a lovely tasty piece of puff pastry on top, there was plenty of thick gravity but a wee bit too strong tasting for me & the brussel sprouts weren't too bad either. I was a bit disappointed with the mashed tatties, they were a bit too dry & only luke warm. I was a wee bit disappointed that there was NO custard left to accompany my Carmel apple betty, but I got a choice of ice cream, skushie cream (aerosol) or pouring cream. I opted for the later. Still it was a most enjoyable afternoon out & so far the staff were easy to converse with & I was told that there was a new toilet 🚽 seat fitted just after I last reported it being cracked 👍

He used to take his Wife who had MS to visit all the time. Sadly we were visiting Greenock for her funeral this week. We were staying at Gleddoch house hotel but opted out of eating breakfast there to eat here. The staff were very friendly both to us Humans and our little dog, there is even a doggy menu which on this occasion resulted in our Willow being hand fed a couple of link sausages! There is always a nice atmosphere in the place and it will continue to be a go to for our trips to Greenock.

Rolls were a nice size. Food very reasonably priced. Toilet were nice and clean. Some seats were padded and some not so look for comfortable padded ones. The menu is a mix of standard American and British cafe dishes and there's a pretty good range of options to choose from for a vegetarian. Inside, the the decorations are very much Italian influenced in style with a mix of wooden chairs and cushioned seating. Service was prompt, actually a little too prompt and had to ask for a couple of minutes to decide. When the waitress did take my order, it was friendly and efficient. My Mocha came first and it was a delight. I didn't actually ask for cream, but they put it on top of my coffee anyway and it was a pleasant surprise. Not only did it look fantastic, it tasted fantastic too. The mocha was made with chocolate powder which I always prefer over chocolate syrup. Then came my order of Egg Florentine. Served pretty much as the classic dish with the added bonus of good presentation. Parking and access is good, disability access is good. The Costa store has a few tables outside (within the main concourse) and a few small tables inside the store. It's fairly tight and I can imagine it being pretty tight when (and if) busy. I was ordering a few Bacon rolls and sausage with a couple of hot drinks. I had to wait just under 10 mins for the order to be completed, the order was presented in their standard paper bags - all was good. The quality of the food is obviously debatable, it's precooked, prepackaged and then furnace blasted in their wee grills. Though it is tasty and convenient so what can you do.. 3/5 🖖
