I can see why he loves it so much. The food was outstanding, some of the best I've had for ages. Managed to get a table inside. The lovely friendly waitress came over straightaway to clear and clean the table and left us with menus to study. We opted for two mugs of 'proper' tea. Followed by a jacket potato with tuna and red onion and I had the Infamous Vegan Bowl. It was freshly prepared so took a little while to arrive but it was well worth the wait. There was so much in the bowl and I can't begin to list it all. I added chicken but it really wasn't needed. There was so much that I had to take some of it home in a takeaway box. Compliments to the chef! The jacket potato was also declared delicious. I would heartily recommend. The waitress was very obliging and saved us two of their homemade sausage rolls to take away and these are also very good.

Spotted the window full of amazing looking cakes and suddenly felt the urge for a cup of tea and cake. I popped in today and ordered an espresso and two bottles of water at the counter. After I paid I was told that there might be a delay with my coffee as they were busy - fair enough. I was sitting outside and they hadn’t asked for my table number so after 10 minutes I went in to see if my coffee was ready. The young girl looked under pressure and had a number of tickets in front of her ahead of mine. She was quite apologetic and I went back outside to wait. After another 10 minutes I went back in again and a different girl was making the coffees and her attitude is what prompted me to write this review. She looked up and said “Yes?” To which I replied that I was still waiting for an espresso and that I really had to get going (my car park time was nearly up). Again, I was sympathetic as they were clearly struggling with the volume of coffees to make but she didn’t say anything else. She made an espresso in a take away cup and banged it down so hard that it slopped over the side before she put the lid on it. She handed it to me without saying a word. That was it. Customer service at its finest. To be fair, it was nice coffee but I’d never go back after being treated like that.

I think this store needs a serious look at customer service as this was definitely not the right approach nor the correct way to speak to a customer! We had been coming to this store for a while and the manager of Costa is absolutely lovely very disappointing for the other 2 members of staff! We will not be revisiting

The service was very friendly and professional. The food and drinks came out to our table in very good time and were all fantastic and well priced. They didn’t skimp on the fillings at all. Staff are friendly and attentive. A great selection of food and drinks. We ordered a breakfast Burrito, Salmon Bagel with a Mocha Iced Coffee and Super Green Smoothy. Everything was delicious, the breakfast Burrito is a total game changer and the salsa really packs it with flavour! Lovely outdoor seating area especially on a sunny day, but if you'd prefer to stay away from the sun then the inside of this place is perfect for the occasion, a laid back feeling from all the natural wood and green plant decorations.

We were passing and my daughter asked if she could use the toilet for her 8 year old son and was told no as not a customer. This place is very clean and lots of seatings. I often drove pass and always noticed there are always customers in there, it says alot about this Cafe. I had bacon and egg sandwich and black coffee, all good and not greasy. And it came with a few French fries, very nice little touch. Staff and owners were very friendly and polite, and made you feel very welcomed. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Attractive frontage compared to the rather worn Teddy's next door but some rather niggling issues. Firstly, cleanliness. Just standing at the till to order, the counter, till area and card machine itself were grubby, I later used the toilets and they were similar. Secondly, the order was taken at the till and the girl was friendly enough but didn't really seem to know how to work the till too well, I later got a refund for an overcharged item, no problem, it happens. I would normally complain at the time but I didn’t feel like any of the young girls working would be able to help me as it was more of a pricing issue than anything else. When looking at the menu there was a lack of vegetarian breakfast options in terms of full veggie breakfasts so we went for the toast with extras, which I may add has no price next to it. We ordered scrambled eggs on toast with mushrooms and one poached eggs on toast plus a coffee and a tea. The total bill was nearly £19, we paid and sat down. We then went back and queried it as it seemed expensive and the girl serving just gave us a receipt. The receipt told us that the poached eggs were over £6.30 and scrambled egg was nearer £7. I may be wrong but that seems a lot for what was basic , and nothing special egg on toast. The scrambled eggs were ok but the poached eggs were more like hard boiled eggs. When we walked out we saw people eating veggie breakfasts outside the next door cafe which looked delicious so we will be going there next time.

I'm not surprised we received such poor service if this is how the owner speaks to customers. There is no accountability in his response to me, and the responses to others are aggressive and frankly appalling. I was previously a very loyal customer filling up lots of coffee loyalty cards, but now I will never go back. We went here for breakfast and had such a bad experience we ended up leaving and getting a refund. I totally understand service is slower and difficult during covid, but I don’t think any of the issues we experienced can reasonably be blamed on covid. It was totally disorganised and seemed like there was no process or management around. The service was poor, the food was cold, and we were short changed on our refund. We booked a table in advance for breakfast. When we arrived the waitress told us they were having wifi problems so the till wasn’t working and they weren’t sure they could take orders, but she would find out for us. She never came back out to update us so eventually we figured out the tills were working when other people were making orders. We went in to place our order and were disappointed to find out they weren’t serving pancakes as they ran out yesterday. It turns out they are pre-made and just heated up, which is very disappointing. Reading through other reviews there appears to be a theme of disappointing service and reheated food. We ordered one English breakfast and one avocado toast instead. However, we were told they weren’t able to do fried eggs for some unknown reason despite it being on the menu. I don’t know why they can do scrambled and poached but not fried, but it’s not a huge deal. Unfortunately the till crashed again and they were unable to take cash, which can’t be helped. However, we had to go through the order again and the server kept weirdly trying to guess what I had ordered, but kept getting it wrong. I don’t mind repeating my order but being interrupted every two seconds with the wrong items was really frustrating. Eventually we paid and were told the food would be around 20 minutes, which was fine. We sat waiting with our coffees, which in fairness were nice and came quite quickly. While we were waiting for our food everyone around us was getting the wrong orders or missing items. About half an hour later my husband’s full English arrived stone cold and we are told my avocado toast will be “another 5 or 10 minutes” meaning we wouldn’t even be eating together. The plate was scolding hot to touch so it was very obvious it had sat out for ages and they had already tried to reheat it unsuccessfully. When we complained they offered to warm it up, which would have been pretty foul. How can you reheat a full English? We asked for a refund and to cancel the rest of our food instead. The waitress was very apologetic and gave us a refund in cash, but we later realised we weren’t refunded the right amount and they had short changed us. We decided it wasn’t worth the hassle and aggravation to go back for a few pounds and honestly just wanted to be done by this point. It’s also worth noting it wasn’t that busy and they didn’t appear to be understaffed. We have both worked as wait staff and restaurant management as well, so we sympathise with busy and flustered staff but this was just unacceptable and very disappointing. We won’t be going back, which is a shame

The staff are nice enough however this place comes up on Google maps when you search for an English breakfast and they no longer have that so if you want a light bite by all means come here but, if you want a proper fry up go elsewhere. The food got three stars because I was lured in with my heart set on a full English not because of the quality the quality was there aside from putting seasalt on the bacon (see picture). They love watching the aircraft so l throught I would visit the Hummingbird restaurant. Unfortunately the staff in restaurant in the terminal where really unfriendly, and didn't like the fact that l was on my own, and had a buggy which they obviously thought was an obstruction. Cafe No8 on the other hand was totally different, the lady there was just so friendly, she bought out some toys for the twins to play with, and bought my food over to me. You get a better view of the airport, and aircraft moving around, and the seating is much better than the Hummingbird too. The food was piping hot, and delicious, I would highly recommended this cafe, and will definitely be going back again.
